PAIN IN THE BUTT
They used NEW frequencies for the remote, so NOW, I have to use 2 remotes..theirs for the Tv, and the other for the DVR that changes the channels n records.. ALSO…EACH time the Tv is turned on, instead of going to the last selected input, you MUST re-select an input. Customer svc was NO help

Boght the tv less than a month ago and the TV plays Netflix and prime TV for a few seconds then goes back to the home screen.. not a problem with my Internet this is the only TV I have that does this I have another Roku TV in my room further away from the Internet modem and it plays fine

What a steal!

Dislike 1 inch on the back for a new model . An the year the model came out . It’s just as important to have pictures of the back of the television as well as the front.

QUALITY AT GOOD PRICE
The tv was delivered as promised and well packaged. It was not hard to assemble the legs and make the connections. I like the limited outer edge being narrower than most TVs and appears to look like a total picture. The quality of the picture is excellent. I am hoping the TV will last for a good while and lives up to the Westinghouse name. Have always trusted their quality and hope they maintain even though now produced in China. Happy with purchase so far.

Scam
I ordered a 43 inch Roku TV. Once it was attached to the wall brackets it looked small. I measured it an it is only 37 inches. Do not order one of these as you will be scammed as I was.Ruby Coffee

The product itself is great and it showed up in a timely manner. The only thing I have an issue with is that this item is a large electronic and there were no fragile stickers or labels on the box. The was a huge gash in the package that went all the way through to the product. I had to open it even though this is a Christmas gift just to make sure it was not broken and still worked. Good news is that the gash was on the back of the TV and didn’t harm the TV. The package was also just tossed onto my lawn.

Not Edgeless
You can seevn the picture that the Westinghouse TV has an easily discernible edge unlike the Amazon advertized edgeless photo. I purchased the TV based on the Amazon photo and paid more over the edged version. The TV is okay. The sound is adequate, at best. It merits no more than three stars but I must admit the picture is very good.

Ease of setup
Recently purchased this Roku tv. Setup was very easy. The unit is lightweight for the 42 inch model. Installed the legs, put the included batteries in the remote and followed the written instructions included in the box. After powering up the tv, instruction promps were now on the screen. Sound and picture can be adjusted by going into settings. Very happy with this unit. We’ll packaged and carefully delivered by Amazon. Well done!

My first West Tv, it was easy out of the box, but I made it work from retail skills
Great Tv, update firmware in store mode to get past the contious Wi-Fi/setup loop in home mode. TVs are possibly built in beta mode and been sitting for 1 or two years in warehouse with no updated firmware. Good luck.

Disappointing
42” Westinghouse Roku TV turned out to be a major disappointment. In less than a month, red dot and blotches appeared on the right side of the screen. I’m 44 miles round trip to a packaging facility so I printed my label off at the library and will leave it with local business for pickup. First time in three years to have internet to get this TV. Now I wondering if I need to open the box and sign out of Netflix. Google check issues with these TV, not just Amazon reviews. 2 stars for sound quality, ease of set up.

Huge disappointment, does not support common bluetooth devices. No voice remote. It’s not user friendly. Basically it just a Roku TV like a DVD TV… worthless for anything else… do yourself a favor and just by a SMART TV and a Roku device

Tv dosnt work
Had the TV for about a month with light usage of it. Now after about 2-3 minutes of usage the picture will go out. No black screen but a dark screen which is still getting power and audio still heard. Tried resetting the TV and still dosnt work.

This product is WORST I have ever bought. The picture is MISTY and not clear. The ROKU use is very complicated.Usually buy most of my products at Amazon; so darn, immediately destroyed the box and can’t return.

Westinghouse is the worst
Do not waste your time, energy and money on this TV much less this brand. Bought a brand new TV for my grandmother that lasted a whoppin 27 days. Amazon tells me there is nothing they can do and pitch me off to Westinghouse support. Westinghouse drags their feet and you constantly need to email and call them for any kind of response. They were then nice enough to try dumping a $110 ONE WAY shipping fee on me for a warranty replacement or refund for the item. Avoid Westinghouse like the plague. Garbage through and through.

You will need to fix the audio, but it can be fixed — then great, cheap TV
Our TCL 43″ gave up the ghost after just three years. The screen went black and never came back. Naturally it was just out of warranty. Shopping around we lighted on this Westinghouse and comparing prices between Bestbuy (199) and Amazon (189 + shipping), we went with Bestbuy, even though lots of reviews complained about tinny sound. Actually, some reviews say positive things about the sound, so some confusion.Hooked it up and viola, the sound was incredible tinny. My wife said it was like listening to the speakers on a phone. That said the volume was incredible — loud as you could possible ever want it. The TCL volume was much weaker, but the quality of the sound was better. We would have to crank up the TCL volume to 50 out of 100; this Westinghouse 10 out of 100 was loud enough. Hence the positive and negative reviews: loud enough (a positive), tinny (a negative).We were about to take it back, but we have a Bose 123 (circa 2005 or so) that has an optical input designed to pickup TV audio and put it through its great speakers. That hook up accomplished, the sound was incredible, very good, better by far than TCL’s built in speakers. So (main point) you can fix the sound with a Bose 123 or, one can infer, any sound bar kind of idea; the tinny quality is only per the cheap built-in speakers and is not inherent in the output of this Westinghouse TV.The audio fixed, the quality of the video is better than the TCL and is really pretty darn good for $200.The slight drawback of our system is with the three controllers we now are forced to use: xfinity, roku, and Bose; only the Bose controls the volume. It is unlikely that volume control can be somehow transferred to the xfinity or roku controllers. New: you can get the xfinity controller to control the Bose volume, on-off, and mute. Follow the xfinity instructions for audio: press and old a button till a light goes green, type in 912 and then use the channel up arrow repeatedly until your Bose (or sound bar) turns off (naturally you have it on before doing these things). It worked for our old Bose: we turn on both the TV and the Bose simultaneously with the xfinity controller; the Bose mute and volume are also paired to this xfinity controller.Finally, the TCL allows for “live TV” to be the default on startup. This allows my wife to just have one controller (xfinity) for all here cable TV needs. The Westinghouse does not have this simple feature. You always have to go the home page and select Live TV — new: the xfinity does have a TV input button that can be used to navigate to Live TV, one controller only for Xfinity cable TV. New: the xifinity small black control box (the new ones) have an HDMI out that can be connected the one of four HDMI ins on this Westinghouse. You can get better cable then the standard, very hold coaxial cable stuff! Better sound for sure and if the channel is transmitting hi-def you have a nice, very clear screen (what you get with Xfinity Stream).We will see if the Westinghouse lasts for a few years or if these cheap flat screens are all alike and the smart money (pun intended) is with paying for a Sony or other high quality, high price flat screen TV.

malfunctioned after a couple months
I bought this TV and one day as I was watching it, it disconnected from my wifi and all remotes. I bought 3 remotes to try to fix it and none worked, it could only be powered on by the button on the TV. Finally after spending an extra $100 on an extended I was able to make it work but it has to be plugged into an ethernet cable at all times and controlled through my phone. I looked online to try to find answers and all of them pretty much said I can’t do anything and have to take the loss.

Only works for a year
Cheap tv that works well but eventually you end up with the black screen of death. There are videos all over YouTube about this problem. The power board goes out and when you try to turn it on it will flash one once then flash a red light at the power button. The red light indicates insufficient power. I guess it’s a cheap fix if you feel comfortable repairing electronics.

Wifi will stop working

I bought one. It started having problems. After months I FINALLY got a replacement TV. The new TV started doing the same thing as the bad one. It was turning off its wifi. In the middle of shows. Neither Roku or Westinghouse electronics have a customer support. They require you to purchase a subscription from Ask Help. And they’ll only read from the tech manual. No real help. I refuse to even return the first TV because I have YET to get a TV that works properly from them.I have to reset the television by holding down the power button and unplug it and repugnant TV. I have to do that between 5 to 45 times a day.
