Best value for the money
I recently bought a Bose soundbar for around 199 and was very disappointed.. I sent it back. I saw this Vizio soundbar for half the price of the Bose soundbar and was very surprised…much better sound, rich bass, easy to control, works seamlessly with my TV. Very nice!!

$$Bang for your buck$$
I’ve owned several sound bars over the years. This is hands down the best one I’ve ever had for living on a budget. You won’t regret giving this a shot and literally extremely easy to set up. My wife had it setup while I was at work in roughly 5-10 minutes by her estimation. Home theater in your living room.

As minimalist, with a fierce love for bass, this is perfect.
While I understand the need for the additional subwoofer sometimes, I really hate having it. It’s always this awkward piece of electronic that you have to accommodate space for (much like the router in the photo), so I wanted something that gave me the bass I was looking for but was simply just a soundbar. It’s beautiful, I love the audio narrative to assist with connecting and using the bar, and as a jazz, R&B, and hip-hop listener, this bass is everything. This review is only for music so far.

Great soundbar!
I like everything about this soundbar, great subwoofer, clear bar and the surround speakers are decent. The remote control feels good and easy to use, with plenty of options to tailor your individual levels of the speakers and some EQ presets. At this price range I don’t think there’s anything better, I’ve tried LG and Sony and those are nowhere close. Awesome soundbar!

Bass: 5 Treble: 5 Surround sound: 5 Ease of set up: 5+ Design: 5 Connection: 5 Bluetooth: 5
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve only had it for a few days but I have to say with experience of audio since I was younger (33 now always had passion for sound) that this soundbar beats the 2.1 Vizio 2.1, LG Bluetooth 2.1, even stereo subs and speakers. Vizio continues to bring the noise. I’m curious on others settings but I am running two speakers in the back, woofer back underneath my head/bed. Dual Surround! All enhancements on. Make sure to tune the whole system by going through the EQ, Level, Input, etc. I promise, dial it in to your liking and the bass won’t drown the treble and the treble doesn’t go super high frequency: the sound all comes together as one despite being separated in the room. My room can fit 3+ queen size beds about. I keep it at volume 5 and it sounds amazing and crystal clear. The speakers are a must in my opinion. Glad I went 5.1. I through all 5s based on set up time, difficulty of set up (I didn’t need instructions and it took me 5 minutes, literally), surround sound ability, 4K, true volume (all equipment is fluid and sounds as one, not like the front is louder then the back type thing.Anyways, I’m happy af and it can get LOUD AF with no distortion. My basement is soundproof and my cuz could feel his head and feet vibrating as he is below. 😂 straight wangers. Can’t wait bump to this.

Awesome Soundbar!
I bought this soundbar for my 40 something inch Vizio TV that I use in my living room. This TV in particular seems to have speakers only on the back of the TV which means even with the TV sound turned all the way up the sound quality was terrible and I could barely hear a thing! It sounded like my TV was in a box! It was absolutely neccessary for me to purchase a soundbar.I wanted a nice middle of the road soundbar that would give me a good listening experience but that wasn’t some big investment and I did a bit of research on them before ultimately deciding just to give this one a try. It came quickly and was packed very well. It was actually quite a bit of work to get it out of its manufacturing package.I was able to mount it below my TV that is on a rolling TV stand and place the subwoofer in the back of the room on the floor in a stationary place. The soundbar is the perfect size for my 40 something inch tv and has a great sleek look. It seems to be made very well and is comparable to any other soundbar I’ve ever seen in person. The subwoofer is also not too big or too small and it’s not very noticeable at all sitting on the floor in the back of my room. It’s very reasonably sized and blends in well. The only thing I don’t like about the subwoofer is that the power cord plugs into the front of the subwoofer which looks pretty dumb. The remote it comes with works well. The soundbar is easy to figure out and use and the sound quality so far has been great. It really changes my whole experience when watching my TV. It makes me feel like I’m in a movie theatre.Being that this soundbar was very reasonably priced, is of great quality and has great sound I am 100% happy with my choice to purchase this specific soundbar and I think anyone else would be as well.

Well made, great sounding soundbar!
This is my first soundbar of any kind. Setup was surprisingly simple. Once I set up the surround speakers, connected them to the subwoofer, and plugged the power in, everything connected without any issues. I first tried listening to audio by connecting my phone to Bluetooth and playing music from Spotify. The audio processing is excellent and utilizes the surround speakers in a way that makes the music sound more full and immersive. The music EQ setting sounds fantastic – it doesn’t increase the treble like a lot of EQ presets do on other equalizers. The bass is punchy and not overpowering through the subwoofer. Speaking of which, the subwoofer is pretty powerful, despite its size. I’m not sure exactly what the soundbar uses to wirelessly send the subwoofer and surround signals to the subwoofer, but it works really well without any disconnecting or static or any issues at all.Connecting it through HDMI-Arc was also flawless and simple. Audio from any streaming services, Blu-rays, or over-the-air TV sounds great. You can play around with the 3 EQ settings or adjust the speakers individually – but once you get the settings you want, everything sounds awesome. The bass from the subwoofer during films is surprisingly deep and rumbly.Overall, I highly recommend this soundbar. I’m someone who appreciates high sound quality, and this delivers, despite its lower price.

Great Sound, Easy Setup and Customization
The set up was SO easy, and I love the backlit remote that makes adjustments easy. Sound is great and creates a theater-like experience. Looking forward to setting up the left and right speakers behind us, but for now, the front setup sounds good too!Subwoofer didn’t work at first, but simply unplugging the subwoofer and sound bar and plugging them back in did the trick.Excellent for the price!

Easy set up and great sound but delayed volume control response
Setup was as easy as plugging it into the TV and I was up and running. The sound is fantastic and fills up the whole room. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the volume adjustment delay. When turning the volume up or down, there’s easily a 3-5 second delay before the unit responds which usually results in overcompensating on the volume setting. Overall great for the cost.

At Long Last
I have been searching for years for a speaker system that would work with my current setup. My TV is one of the first smart TVs marketed and it lacks some of the connections most of the current audio sets require. I have hearing issues and while I’m not deaf I have difficulty hearing the dialogue clearly and have resorted to using closed captioning with remote speakers to assist. I was using a set of wireless satellite speakers that plugged into the 3.5mm audio output and transmitted wirelessly to the remote speakers. I finally found this set that includes satellite speakers that work wirelessly with the subwoofer and sound bar. I got this set yesterday and expected to return it after going through the process to set it up only to discover that it didn’t solve my issues like the many sets previously purchased and returned. Using an optical cable (purchased separately) in a matter of minutes I had this setup and running and pleasantly surprised at how well it worked with my system. The set didn’t come with a users manual but I have been able to play around with the various settings and now I have a fully functioning stereo setup that works for my hearing issues and now closed captioning, while it’s still helpful, it isn’t a requirement for me to enjoy my streaming experience. The sound is crisp, the footprint is small and the price was reasonable. I never realized how bad my existing TV speakers were and how the analog audio from my remote speakers wasn’t really helping, it’s like night and day!

Setup: super easy. Movie sound: 5 stars. Music sound: computer 5 stars, phone 4 stars.
This is another pure luxury solution to a gold plate problem: portable device speakers generally sound . . . small. Well at my desk I don’t have to live with that! I didn’t want speakers in my line of sight-my youngest son put custom built LEGO figures at each end of my desk anyway. I also didn’t want wires connecting-more gold plate problems you see. So Bluetooth was essential. DTS and HDMI ARQ were nice to have features. I set the budget, found the solution to my phantom problem, and BOOM the blue truck of joy set me about my next task: listening to BIG SOUND (I hoped).Fast forward: I connected to my Chromebook via Bluetooth. You get an audio and visual confirmation that you are connected (there is an LED on the front of the soundbar that briefly glows blue). I Played a movie first. Using the EQ button on the remote control, I toggled through the various settings, finally selecting “movie.” There was audio confirmation of my selection. The sound was outstanding with great left to right separation. You don’t always hear things move side to side when watching movies on a laptop. Ha ha ha. Add a Vizio V-Series Sound Bar and you will! Ok, I did. I tested it with music from my laptop next.Using the EQ button on the remote control, I again toggled through the four available settings, until I reached “music.” There was audio confirmation of my selection. I cycled through classic rock, jazz, and deep house. It sounded pretty good with all of them. Crisp highs clean mids and bass. Listen, this is not an audiophile or a studio reference speaker. It’s a hundo TV sound bar. Set your expectations accordingly. Having said that–it thrives on playing loudly. In fact this thing begs to rock out. I like my neighbors and my ears. When I feed the beast I move away then use the remote to turn it up!Which brings me to using it with my phone: No matter what my phone enhances the bass more than I like. even flat bass is too much. I’ll continue tweaking the settings, but in general, my phone’s EQ is geared towards a bass heavy genre of music that my kids probably love but that I don’t. C’est la vie.So the most important question is would I buy this item again? Yes. I would.

Easy to set up, lots of bass
The surround speakers themselves aren’t wireless, they plug into the corded subwoofer that Bluetooth connects to the sound bar, still worth the price though and the mounting brackets for wall mounting are incredibly simple and effective.

Great soundbar for the price
I use this on my 55″ TV in the living room. Its a massive upgrade from the TV speakers. I also have a turntable connected to it. When I start the turntable with the TV off the sound automatically switches over and it plays. I’m not sure why its not advertised but its fantastic. The sound bar is nice and easy to use. It tells you what the inputs are. I had a soundbar that used different color lights to tell you what the input was, but had to memorize the colors and god help you if you accidentally selected bluetooth and it started pairing. The remote has a small text display to help guide you through menus. That’s a feature every remote should have.HDMI-ARC is great. The TV controls the volume on the soundbar, no need for multiple remotes or randomly adjusting different pieces of equipment. Some people have problems with HDMI-ARC, be aware that this probably not the fault of the soundbar. Some HDMI devices cause HDMI-ARC to fail. For example some my JSAux SteamDeck dock causes this sometimes even though its plugged into the TV. There are some guides for figuring out if its the soundbar or something else. The only downside is that the subwoofer will randomly stay on and start clicking after a while. To fix it I have to unplug it. It doesn’t happen often maybe once every couple of months so it isn’t a deal breaker.

Good sound but the sub can get a bit boomy sometimes
It sounds reasonably good out of the box but needs tweaking to get the best sound for your room. It is much better sounding than speakers on any TV but obviously is not going to compete with a proper sound system. It is a good option for the bedroom where you might not want a full sized sound system. I mounted the bar under my wall mounted TV and put the sub under a desk. While the sound quality is good for the price, the sub can get a bit boomy. The boominess can happen with some male voice tones. You can hear them speaking then a weird boominess on some low tones. The sub is by far the weakest part of the sound and I find the overall sound quality is better if the sub is turned down. The HDMI ARC connection between the TV and soundbar doesn’t quite work perfectly. When I turn the TV on using its remote, it also powers on the soundbar. I can also use the TV remote to control the volume. The problem is when I turn off the TV. It does not turn off the soundbar. When the soundbar is in this state with no active input, it flashes some very bright lights continually on the left. I have to then reach for the soundbar remote to turn it off.It does allow you to disable the power LED when in normal use which I like because it is very bright but the flashing still happens when there is. Inactive input.

Excellent value
For the sale price of $159ish I can’t imagine any soundbar/system giving better value than this. If I had the budget I might have opted for the M-series instead but honestly now that I have this hooked up I’m glad I didn’t splurge. Our living room is roughly 10’x10’ and I set the subwoofer (wirelessly connects to the soundbar but must be plugged in to it’s own power source) on the floor next to the couch, I set the back speakers (which must be connected to the subwoofer but the cords are very long) on the window sills behind the couch. I might opt to prop them higher later since the back of the couch extends over them slightly. Despite a fairly open layout this system gives me a similar feeling to being in the theater, especially with movies and shows that make the most of sound capabilities.Edit: the next day I tried watching a football game and during the commentary the subwoofer made a continuous rumbling/windy sound that was impossible to ignore once I noticed. A quick Google search showed me this has been a common issue for 3+ years. I found a suggested fix that seemed to work; factory resetting the soundbar by holding down the bluetooth and down volume buttons together for 10 seconds. It seemed to resolve the issue but now I’m wary of it happening again. If it does I’ll likely return it.

Simply Great
I bought this after buying a Vizio TV that sounded terrible. This bar matched up really easily to the TV set using eARC. There was very little setup to do other than plugging it in. There is an online user manual that will help with setting up bass, treble and the equalizer. It has a good, rich sound to it, with a good amount of bass. I have had a home theater before, and this is not that, nor is it meant to be. I live in an apartment now so a theater set up is impractical. But this works great for that. Everything sounds better including games and music.

Excellent soundbar, especially at the price point
Sound quality is great, subwoofer is deep without being overwhelming (though you can get it there if you turn it way up), and the I/O is sufficient for what you’d expect. The wireless subwoofer connected instantly and I haven’t had any issues with it dropping out. I like that you have individual “EQ” controls on the remote, too, as well as built-in EQ settings.

Real review from an audiophile.
I couldn’t be more thrilled. This system has reinvigorated my passion for quality audio. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a comprehensive manual for all the settings but if you spend some time with it you’ll figure it out. I’m a musician that is super picky about sound quality and available settings. The Vizio V51x-J6 is perfect in every way. I really couldn’t be happier. Don’t sleep on this surround system. 😆🤤

Very Easy Setup!
Got everything unpacked and set up in a matter of minutes. The audio quality has been on point for tv/movie streaming, as well as listening to music on Spotify. Very easy built-in speaker testing to ensure that each is working properly. The side speakers are set up as recommended on either side of the couch facing the TV while the subwoofer is underneath the side table. Gets you much more in the experience with a soundbar and sub like this!

Works Great! Great solution without a Sub.
This soundbar was perfect for me. It took a second to set up, but that had more to do with my TV than the soundbar itself. A great solution when the budget is tight or the space is small. The only thing I would caution buyers about is the bass is a little overwhelming for some due to the integrated subwoofer but this is an adjustable setting with the remote, and you cannot beat the bang for the buck of this soundbar.

Finally solved the second remote issue
We have a 2018 Spectre TV and we had always needed a second remote to control our previous sound bar. We bought this sound bar in the hopes that the arc hdmi connection would eliminate the need for a second remote. I am not particularly savvy about electronics or sound quality but this sounds great. We are now able to control the TV and volume with one Roku remote. We have an external stick and not a smart TV and it still worked.I did have to move it from one hdmi port to another to work, I’m not sure why, but it works now. It sounds great and the setup was fairly easy.

WAAAY better than Polk Audio Signa S3 (Ultra-Slim TV Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer)
This little beast KILLS! Absolutely surprised at the level of QUALITY that this pounds out vs the Polk Audio Signa S3 Ultra-Slim TV Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer. The Polk cost a 1/3 MORE, is larger and clearly fails to put out what this system does. The bass in this subwoofer is complimentary to movies and gives you a nice rounded out sound to YouTube or music on your listening device or computer. These 2.1 systems are getting ever better and this one out performs my Sony AND my Polk Audio Signa S3 Ultra-Slim TV Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer; just sayin’!!

Great soundbar if you catch it on sale
This is an easy soundbar to hook up and setup. I used an HDMI-ARC cable and once I finished setting it up to my liking, I put the remote away. It has a very solid sound for the price and I’m using the forward-facing setup. My only nit-picking is that at the lowest sound level before muting it, and with the bass turned up above the OEM setting, you’ll hear some feedback from the subwoofer. It’s almost unnoticeable unless you’re in a totally silent room. I’m very pleased that I was able to get this system for $150.

Great Low Profile Sound
The first thing that I really love about this system is the fact it is so low profile and blends in well with my TV and entertainment system. And up close its sleek looks good and high quality. Secondly and the main reason I bought this was the fact that this thing BUMPS. It has a really great range for a sound bar and picks up the lows and bass really really well. I love listening to music on it as well, It rivals my stereo set up. Connection was very easy and really is plug and play. I can’t believe how much more from shows & movies I can hear from this sound bar it has a much better range than others. The only downside is it has A LOT of settings & preferences. So it was a little confusing at first to work the remote to get settings adjusted but it also has a lot of presets to make quick adjustments which is nice. There are some tuning guides online that really helped out and brought even more out of the soundbar which is cool. Rear/ surround speakers wire to the subwoofer! (I didn’t know that prior to purchase but it worked out). Overall I love this soundbar

Main bar and subwoofer great, small speakers suck.
Overall a good surround sound system for the price. The satellite speaks are really bad. The sound even when less than 2ft from the couch, it is very hard to hear the sound and is almost distorted. Hope I can sub them for more quality ones in the future because the main bar and woofer make up for it for certain !

Great sound
Our TV speaker had a mind of its own and was really messing up. We purchased this sound system with hopes of resolving those issues and boy did it. Now we have to force ourselves out of the house..lol. We really enjoy the sound this produces, I keep having to look behind me to see what is happening in the kitchen because of the effects. You hear so much you wouldn’t normally hear through just tv speakers. Rocks falling behind you, whispers, etc. Can’t go wrong for the price.

Great for the price!
My Parents needed a new surround sound system after theirs of 15 years died (finally!). My dad had decided on a budget of around $200, which made this seem like an impossible task! Yet, I found this model recommended on multiple websites for best budget surround. They weren’t kidding! For the price, the sound is quite impressive and the 5 inch subwoofer packs a big punch on high. So much better than a 15 year old surround sound. My parents love it (as do I) and it’s a keeper at this point. Set up is easy, works through Samsung HDMI-ARC and has quite a few very nice options. Just no on screen settings. Settings are lights on the left side, but not a real deal breaker for the price. Once it’s set up the way you like, no need to mess with them. I’m actually considering one for my bedroom that just has an older 3.0 Samsung soundbar. If you need surround sound for a small room or living room on a budget, I highly recommend it!

This made our living room into a little theatre
We have a high ceiling den and tv over our fireplace. I couldn’t hear our tv and would have to turn the volume way up. After getting this soundbar and after plugging it into the right hdmi port, when it came on it made me smile. It sounds so much better now! It makes a surround sound effect on movies and ball games that have more background, crowd noise, etc. I love this thing. It adds more bass to regular tv shows as well. Just had this for a few weeks, but so far so good!

Excellent sound bar w/full sound!
I almost had to send this back because I was having such trouble connecting the bar to my DirecTV remote… I didn’t want to have a separate remote dedicated to just the volume! I did some digging online, and found the right codes to enter in manually. My DirecTV system wasn’t recognizing this soundbar for the automatic pairing. It was a true hassle. I also changed a setting within the TV itself that I had overlooked. As a note: I purchased a second sound bar locally, thinking maybe a different sound bar would be easier to connect. I was SO wrong! It could not compare to this Vizio V-series! I have a Vizio M series, which I absolutely LOVE,and that one connected automatically with my remotes for some reason. Maybe it was the TV brand? For this smaller room, it didn’t need to be as “robust”, and I wanted to keep it around $100. I highly recommend this – awesome bass, excellent pre-sets, and I like how it “talks” to you, announcing what input you’re on when scrolling through the input options. The other sound bar I purchased didn’t do that, and that was something simple but practical when setting up your bar, changing inputs, or verifying that something is on. If you’re using the optical connection, you’re going to need a cord it doesn’t come with one. I purchased the Amazon Basics optical cord, and it’s working great

Great value in a really good sound bar.
Re: Vizio V-series 5.1 HT Sound Bar.Purchased this to replace a 10 year old Samsung sound bar that had gone bad. Wow! This new Vizio is so much better! As our older TV did not have HDMI-ARC we used optical cable to connect. Don’t let the small (4.5 inch) size of the Subwoofer fool you. It really fills in a nice tight base that you won’t believe. The overall balance of this system is amazing. There are enough adjustments that you can achieve any balance to please your ears. The key is getting familiar with the remote and reading the column of lights on the left end of the Soundbar. Start with EQ and set to Movie-Music-Direct or Game. Next go to LEVEL to adjust Bass-Treble-Dialogue-Center-Surround-Sur Bal-Sub levels to your liking. If you can’t achieve the balance you like with these six level adjustments, you aren’t trying hard enough. Finally go to EFFECT to control how this system interacts with your source device(s).Note; the surround speakers attach by wire to the Subwoofer (not the soundbar). The wires are a little over 26 feet long so you can have up to 52 feet of separation.

A Great Way To Enhance Your Space!
I bought this set (with credit cards rewards points lol) because I was looking for a nice entertainment hub to enhance my music listening, gaming, and tv watching hobbies in my apartment bedroom. And boy, I do a lot of those things! Anyways, it’s genuinely awesome. I got the 36″ soundbar with the sub box and the two surround speakers. And golly gee, is it great! The sound quality is incredible, even with just aux connection! (I didn’t think to check to make sure that my gaming monitor supported the fancy HDMI) Same with bluetooth. The sub box makes music sooooo much greater but not too over the top, and really makes you feel like youre in a theater when watching movies and whatnot. I mounted the two surround speakers on either wall, and it’s just so great. I personally think that the “Dual” surround mode is best for pretty much everything. Heck, I even use it for a sound machine when I sleep, and it really makes me feel like actually in that rainy forest or on a boat in the middle of that mountain stream! And I realize that my space and exact speaker placement isn’t the most acoustically sound (see what I did there?!) but even then im more than happy. I could go on and on, but yeah, DEFINITELY worth it. As an audiophile and entertainment nerd, this was DEFINITELY worth it to me and I can’t wait to make a fully functional home theater or even more immersive setup when im done with college! If youre thinking about buying, DO IT!!! It’ll be worth it, I promise!

Not bad at all
I’m not an audiophile but the built in speakers on my monitors were not cutting it. I looked at high end sound bars but 5-800 dollars was a bit too much for me to justify. After reading reviews on the Vizio I decided to give it a try. I am happy 2 months in, its bass was way better than I expected huge improvement over stock speaker, really transformed my gaming experience. The way I have it positioned you can feel the vibrations. Speakers sometimes have a slight crack to them , but from what I came from it’s transformative. If your situation is like mine you just want something better than stock built in speakers this thing will scratch that itch.

This deaf person will enjoy music for a few more years!
I’m gradually losing my hearing and my wee blue tooth speaker just wasn’t enough to stream my beloved music so that I could hear any more. This paired easily with my macbook (press bluetooth button on the end of the bar to pair), and now I can stream music with the clarity and volume I need again. And the volume switch is only at half volume, so I will get a many years of music from this before my ears finally give up the ghost. Thanks, Vizio, for making this affordable.

This was just right for our basement movie projector.
The system was easy to install. We mounted ours above our projector screen image near the ceiling and angled the brackets down by slightly bending them down before mounting them as to get the direct sound. The wall mount hole spacing is not for 16 or 24 on center studs. So you will have to use drywall anchors,, which I’m not crazy about. The rear speaker setup is a breeze. Just plug in the sub and the two rears and they connect automatically. I used the aux input cable and then noticed a slight buzz sound from my system. Figured out they were coming from my dimmable led light switches, which apparently not the correct ones for my lights. If the lights are fully on or off, no buzz. But middle they buzz.

Remote control is a nightmare.
Remote is a nighmare to open to install batterie’s. No instruction for a remote quick start. No Remote instructions for this type remote in box or on website is correct for this remote. Someone is going to get cut opening battery compartment with sharp tool. That is the only problem with this unit. Works great.I went to You Tube for instructions to open battery compartment and there is a video showing a guy with gloves on and opening battery compartment with a box cutter !!!!!!! It worked, and I didn’t get cut !!!!!However this remote problem wants you to give up and return product.I have never written a review on any Amazon related product. This remote caused me to do so.

Fantastic sound!
Very good product! The sound is fantastic! Plug and play, no need for setup or anything! If you’re an even number volume setter, as in by 2’s or 5’s, you might be a little upset. I’ve always had my sound set at a level 18, but now have to be at 50 for a similar 18 volume level. It skips volume increments. That being said, it still sounds fantastic and the sub puts out perfect low end! Highly recommend this product over the high priced big name brands. This Vizio soundbar and sub puts out the same exact sound quality as the higher name brands for a fraction of the cost.

Huge BANG for Your Buck
This fairly inexpensive little sound system has made movie watching sooo much more enjoyable! The soundbar makes dialogue clean and clear. You get a nice rumble from the sub woofer when there are action scenes and the two little satellite speakers give you the feel of surround sound. Plus it couldn’t be any easier to set up! I highly recommend it

Impressive Sound
We wanted a single mountable unit and this one did not disappoint. It has some preset settings and separate bass and treble so you can adjust to your liking. We are using it in a medium size room and really like the sound quality.

Wonderful
I got this product about say three weeks ago. I gotta say this is awesome for an apartment. It’s not so loud that the neighbors will complain but it is it has that base that scares it scares you when you watch a scary movie. I have a Vizio and it goes perfect with that, I’m glad I bought it.

Perfect for our needs
We just needed better sound from our Samsung tv so we could hear better and not have such a cheap tinny sound. Lots of expensive options out there, but this one was the price we were comfortable with. It meets our needs and expectations perfectly. The bass in it rounds out the sound and is great for us to watch TV and movies.

Great sound. A little glitchy sometimes
I use this to stream music from my iPhone via Bluetooth. Occasionally it glitches and I get no sound randomly so I have to disconnect my iPhone and reconnect then it works. Never had a problem with it working for tv and movies though. Sound quality is really good considering the price. Sound is on up there with units that cost over twice as much

Great sound
Pleasantly surprised! There are many different settings to get your sound just right and it sounds great in my living room! If you use Bluetooth, it’s delayed and I haven’t tried the HDMI but it will likely fix the issue.

I’m impressed
Pretty good unit for the size and price. The audio works best with the included hdmi cord, otherwise it lags. Very compatible with the ONN smart tv I got here from Amazon several weeks ago and had no issues linking with our Directv box.

GREAT Sound but ONLY VIA TOSLINK
PROS: The sound is GREAT for this class of sound equipment. Coming from only ever using built-in TV speakers, this upgrade truly gives you depth and richness of sound, very good low tones and bass, and excellent dialogue volume control which makes watching old movies and shows (with typically quiet dialogue) MUCH better.Surround sound is amazing and there are many EQ settings allowing for adjusting all aspects of your config, which you’re going to need to do in order to bring out the best sound quality this system can offer, because the default equalizer config is hollow and muted. Here’s an EQ config that works great for me, which might be a good starting point for you to tune your own to your liking (EQ levels are displayed as glowing dots on a scale from 1 to 10—incl. half-steps, but I only use full steps as follows).Bass: 7/10Treble: 8/10Dialogue: 7/10Center: 8/10 (important)Subwoofer: Up to you.Surround Level: 8/10 (important)Surround Balance: 50/50 (the two middle dots)CONS: The only problem is the HDMI interface, which does NOT work with many TVs. Apparently it works with some TVs, but for many other reviewers incl. myself, the HDMI-ARC connection fails every time you turn off the TV. Turn it back on and there is no sound, requiring that you unplug and reset the sound bar every time, acting like the sound bar cannot be recognized or paired. To be fair, this could be a fault of the TV and not the sound bar, but I cannot confirm. If that’s your case, the only permanent solution is to connect the sound bar using a Toslink (optical) cable. The sound quality is still great, so if you can live without a few HDMI-exclusive features, it’s a perfect solution and you will enjoy your improved sound a lot. In my mind it’s well worth the compromise, as opposed to spending 2,000-5,000 on a dedicated receiver setup.NOTE: When connecting via Toslink, be sure to go to your TV settings and set Digital Audio Out as PCM, and Analog Audio Out as Fixed. This is needed for Toslink to correctly process the audio signal, and to enable surround sound through your satellite speakers.
