This tv was great at the start but 5 months into owning it, the screen began to flicker constantly so it’s basically unwatchable. Unfortunately the return window has passed so we’re just gonna take a loss and throw the tv in the trash

High pitch buzzing from backlight
TV is beautiful unfortunately it has an issue where it makes a high pitch buzzing sound from the backlight during normal operation. Got a replacement TV and it has the same problem. Currently working with Vizio to hopefully resolve with a replacement unit. Will update the review if and when resolved. Wanted to make other people aware of the problem as it’s not fun to return such huge/heavy products.Additionally, had issues with Amazon picking up the first defective tv and had to file a claim with my credit card company to get refunded. Really not an ideal situation. Most likely will buy locally for large freight items like this in the future.

Vizio TV, 👎
I bought this TV, few weeks ago and I was very excited about the tv. But I realize that it was something wrong with the TV.It’s was too slow and it’s was taking a long time for the screen to open up, when I turned it on.I tried to keep it but I was very frustrated seating there just just waiting to see a show or movie but nothing. I desired to sent it back to Amazon and get my refund. Now I’m planning to buy other brand tv.I will not buy a Vizio TV again.

A bit tricky to set up if you don’t want the Apps.
It was a bit difficult to set up to connect to the Dish. It kept wanting me to download apps.Once we figured out how to get to the input feature, it automatically connected.

QLED is the way to go
Very good packaging, and prime delivered it in 2 and a half days. Amazing speed in delivery. And this Vizio M series 43 inch QLED has amazing color, just like the ads say. Wifi 6 never stutters, and all three hdmi are 2.1 so they transmit sound also. This TV ROCKS!!! This is SmartCast, similar to roku, similar to android, but not. I plug my roku into one of the hdmi’s and use input button on remote. Sound is weak and muddy, propelling you to purchase a sound bar. Mebbe later, i just turn it up past 50.

Its huge…I mean HUGE
We are loving it but it took some getting used to. It is much bigger than what we had previously. Quick set up and easy to navigate. We sometimes have dropped connection when nothing else in the house drops the wireless, but it usually is only for a few seconds and then it connects up again.

Performance is not consistant.
Difficult to keep connected. Had to set up separate accounts for each TV using the Amazon Firestick. I had to cancel on regular TV and when I want to use the firestick I have to move to another TV. Amazon messages pop up all the time as the system is not working. Would not buy it again.

Not as good as expected but not too bad
We’ve had a Vizio TV in the past, but our latest was a Samsung. The first Vizio had a much better picture than the Samsung although they were the same resolution so we had high hopes for this Vizio Smart TV. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The sound is just crap and we can’t play the sound through our older Bose sound system, or I’ve not found a way, anyway. So, it looks like we’ll have to buy a new sound bar or something. The sound, especially when music is being played, is like it’s being played through a kazoo—the tissue paper over a comb. It’s rattley and muffled sounding. The picture isn’t as good as our old Vizio was but that may be because the screen size is a little larger than the old Samsung and Vizio we had. The recorded DVR pictures, even when excellent through the TV tuner during the original broadcast, aren’t as clear or bright as the old TVs were from the DVR.It takes a while to figure out the ‘smart’ part of the TV because it’s completely different from the Samsung and I miss the daily listing guide for the broadcast TV programs. The size is perfect for our viewing arrangement and as I’m learning various aspects of how to use it, it is increasing in my ‘favorable’ rating.

Excellent picture
The picture is stunning! For some of the movies and shows I thought I was behind the camera while it was being filmed live! For a VIZIO tv of this type and price, I would have expected for it to allow you to download streaming apps like ESPN+ for example It does come with a number of streaming apps but the ability to download others should be there. Additionally, the remote could use an upgrade to allow for good visibility in the dark. A backlit display or glow in the dark buttons should be a no brainer inclusive feature. Lastly, there seems to be a voice bug with the tv. Whenever the tv is set to the Fire tv setting and I give it a voice command, the tv switches to an hdmi port that has nothing connected to it. I then have to switch the input back manually to the hdmi port that has the fire tv stick. Not good.

Full screen ads when it turns on? Really?
Yet another victim has fallen to the corporate world’s obsession with shoving full-screen advertisements in the faces of the people. As soon as you turn it on, ADVERTISEMENT! And you can’t close it until it finishes loading, and you can’t do anything at all until you close it! It doesn’t do it all the time, but doing it at all is just irritating and unacceptable to me. Everything on TV and on the internet these days is crammed full of advertisements. I don’t need my TV joining in on it too as soon as I turn it on! This alone makes me want to knock two starts off. So I did.Other than that major irritation, I only have one complaint about this TV after using it a few months. If you plug a sound device into the 3.5mm jack in the back, most times when you first turn the TV on it’ll default the output volume for that jack to 100% and blast your ears out. But as soon as you adjust the volume in any way (up, down, or mute) it’ll suddenly snap down to the correct last-used volume. So beware if you have a set of HD computer speakers or a stereo hooked up to it. I have to keep mine turned down to 30% so I don’t blow them out every time I forget about this glitch.

Great, but not perfect.
First off the picture is truly stunning. The controls, the i/o ports and wifi/bluetooth features etc… all work great. There are however a couple of annoyances. The internet connectivity internal speed test reports astonishingly low speeds. The speeds it reports are wrong too. I tried both ethernet and 2.5/5ghz wifi as well and it reported all of it incorrectly. Just ignore it is my advice. The other thing is occasionally the TV freezes up while navigating in the apps or menus, the remote ceasing to respond to any input for 30 seconds or so. This is my experience after about 3 weeks of use.

Average Performance
A good TV if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. Fairly good entertainment with an average picture quality in my opinion and I’ve owned a lot of TVs over the years. I sadly had to ditch the Samsung I owned for 14 yrs. and I can say its picture quality was better than the Vizio.I find that its main platform is slow to change over with all the apps available on the opening screen. With all the UHD, 4K claims, i don’t see anything spectacular in this TV. Also there is a ‘vignette-shadowing’ in some scenes that to me is annoying. I wish I had spent a bit more money on something else.

Defective Remote right out of the box!!
Right out of the new box today I could not even start to set up this new Vizio TV today since the remote was not communicating with the TV right out of the new box!!! I then contacted Vizio Support and a Vizio Support Tech said that the remote was defective after walking me through a number of steps !!Here is why I give it one star at this point as the Tech said under warranty Vizio would be sending out a new remote to replace the defective one and they will notify me by email when it ships. He then stated that IN 5 TO SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS I SHOULD BE GETTING THE NEW REMOTE!! One would think if they value their customer they would either OVERNIGHT OR EXPRESS SHIP IT as meanwhile they have left me with an expensive worthless boat anchor of a TV until this issue is resolved 🙁 !! I guess sadly this is Vizio’s ideal customer service in 2023!!Finally gave up on Vizio Support as of yesterday and today I left was still waiting for the replacement remote that was scheduled for delivery yesterday via UPS. I have contacted Amazon Support and as of this morning I have shipped the defective TV product back to Amazon for a refund. I rolled the dice and ordered another replacement model offered at an Amazon newer cheaper price. I am hoping I just recieved a mass production Vizio lemon with the TV I have returned today .

Great tv and features for a great price
This tv has all the features needed for a high quality picture and not nearly as expensive as Samsung or LG. It was easy to set up and picture quality is great. I did have an issue with the voice control on the remote not working correctly but I called the Vizio support number and spoke to someone who actually spoke English and got the problem resolved in under 5 minutes. My previous tv was a Vizio and was over 11 years old and is still working great just wanted to upsize. I have had great success with Vizio tv’s and definitely recommend them.

Great TV for the price!
I like the picture quality and how you can easily see your fps and resolution. I use a firecube and PS5 with mine so the app thing that people mention isn’t an issue for me. The controller definitely leaves something to be desired. Also as far as I can tell only one of the HDMI ports are 2.1, HDMI 3. One of the things that bothers me the most is that the screen appears dirty rather easily which requires frequent cleaning.

Screen defectives
Received a TV with a defective screen panel. There was a group of dead pixels in one corner of the screen. There was also a visible and persistent horizontal line across the screen near the top edge of the screen. Antenna integration with the WatchFree+ feature made watching over-the-air antenna channels slow and cumbersome. SmartCast streaming feature requires mandatory data sharing.Update:Returned TV, and ordered another one. The new TV has a small group of dead pixels on the bottom edge of the screen at a corner. There is also a tiny scratch on the screen. Fortunately, the dead pixels and scratch are not noticeable at normal viewing distance. A very small band can be seen around the edges of the screen that’s a bit darker than the rest of the screen. Picture looks nice otherwise.

Would have been great but…
Tv is nice, works fine but arrived in a damaged box, small crack in lower left screen and scratches on the top. Pretty sure it was used because batteries were in the remote already. Too much of a hassle to send back. Hoping it doesn’t crap out on us but so far it’s working fine and damage is hard to see

I bought this TV to replace my old one. I mainly watch YouTube because I don’t have time for much else. I really Like this TV after doing a lot of research. Very Happy
I’m not an expert on TV’s but I am a bit of an obsessive shopper. Love the picture. 1080p looks great on this 4K tv. Sound is good enough. Remote and software are intuitive on this simple remote does everything. I also use as a second computer monitor and I find the image crisp. I don’t think you are going to do better at this price range. Also like its not a google tv, I don’t have Alexa and don’t want anyone listening in on my life. Very very happy. ( though it did come adjusted a bit bright for my taste easy to change though) I would give the picture 5 stars for my taste but I assume there are better more expensive TV like OLED that would rate 5.

Impressive Performance with a Few Packaging Quirks
I recently purchased this product from Amazon, and overall, I am impressed with its performance. Let me share my experience and thoughts on this item:Starting with the positives, this product was remarkably easy to assemble and install. The setup process was straightforward, and I had it up and running in no time. The screen arrived well wrapped and protected, ensuring its safety during shipping. The stand of this TV is sturdy, providing reliable support and stability. This feature is particularly important for those who prefer to place their TV on a stand rather than mount it on the wall. One standout aspect is the Vizio software, which I found to be truly awesome. Compared to a Vizio TV I owned from 2015, this model surpasses it in terms of performance and features. The user interface is intuitive, responsive, and offers an enjoyable viewing experience.Furthermore, I appreciate the dynamic port labeling feature. It automatically relabels the HDMI ports based on the device connected, which makes switching inputs a breeze. For example, when turning on the Xbox, the TV automatically relabels the corresponding HDMI input as “Xbox,” simplifying the user experience. However, there are a couple of negatives to note. Firstly, the TV is a bit heavy, requiring assistance from another person to move it properly. While this may not be a major concern during everyday use, it’s worth considering if you plan on rearranging your setup frequently.Additionally, the original Vizio box that the TV arrived in had an unpleasant odor. Fortunately, this smell did not transfer to the TV itself. However, it was strong enough to warrant moving the box to the garage shortly after unboxing to prevent it from permeating the living room. Although the cause of the odor remains uncertain, it could be attributed to the ink used or the cardboard used in the packaging process. In summary, this product delivers impressive performance and offers a delightful viewing experience. The ease of assembly and installation, along with the sturdy stand, contribute to its overall appeal. The Vizio software surpasses previous models, and the dynamic port labeling adds convenience to switching inputs. However, it is important to note the weight of the TV, which may require assistance during movement. Additionally, the initial odor emanating from the original packaging box was unpleasant, although it did not affect the TV itself.Despite these minor drawbacks, I am satisfied with my purchase and believe this TV provides excellent value for the money. It’s a worthwhile choice for those seeking a reliable and feature-rich television experience.

My wall was made for this television.
Vizio really outdid themselves with this television. It’s incredibly clear and the visuals are amazing. The Vizio OS is so easy compared to the other cluster of mess out there. I’d honestly say it’s the best alternative if you don’t want the google tv OS or Web OS.It’s very sleek and has four inputs, it’s remote is simple but I like it.I don’t know all the technical mumbo jumbo so this review isn’t for that but I am pleased with my purchase. The tv works as intended. Works better than I expected actually. The free tv was a surprise for me, it showed images of it but I didn’t think it was actually giving me the option to watch free television. The Bluetooth headphone option is wonderful and any changes you need to made to the tv is done with a few clicks with the remote. None of the settings are buried deep and hidden.

Seriously avoid at all costs. Decent hardware killed by awful software.
The new latest Vizio 43″ M 4K television looks like a great value due to its many features, high specs, and relatively low price. The picture quality is actually good while sound is not great, though better than other flat TVs. The biggest issue is the firmware. It is absolutely bloated, incredibly sluggish, and inconsistent. It takes 30 seconds to turn on, and this is on the faster setting. It’s hard to tell when the TV is on or off at times, despite them offering an LED indicator setting. Menus are glitchy and take awhile to load. 2/3 of the time it cannot connect to the internet, despite being 6 feet from the router and other devices/televisions having no issue. Sometimes apps freeze when you launch them and often times it will struggle to stream content, with things freezing up on you. I have none of these problems with other smart TVs I own. The only solve, which doesn’t even work 100% of the time, is to keep unplugging and plugging the TV in, which is unnecessary and slow. Go with another model for your money and sanity.

New TV
Went from a projector to this, so I lost some screen size. In the trade I gain stable and useable lumins. Washout was getting old.Leave the cardboard on when mounting. These have a very small area you can use to stabilize the TV when mounting (1- 1 1/2in) at the screen. Only use that to stabilize not lift. Lift from the bottom at the assembly.I wall mounted (always in beams, sheet rock is a joke unless you use toggles… even then). The stands it comes with are laughable. If you surface mount I would make or find something else. It’s big so a great lever for a kid or animal to knock over. Dill holes in the stands and screw them to the top or through bolt like a hotel would.Once up it takes a fat minute to set up. After that plug away. I game and watch movies on it and they track very well (HDMI port 3 is for games). This has one of the best ratings for its year for gaming with low lag. QLEDs don’t normally digitize or have the problems of many types… or so Toms and other sites seem to say. It works, and that’s all I care.

Great Quality for the Value
The quality of the picture for the price of the of this television is awesome. The speed performance when going from app to app or loading a video while stream is a little slow though, but for an inexpensive larger picture tv I cannot expect the best performance. The voice remote is simple to use as well. Overall this was a great buy.

I guess, not bad for the money, but…
Love that I can connect blue tooth headphones to it (needed a set with receiver with my old smart TV).Huh… Is it all I love? OK… keep going with review.I get it, that there is no rim, the entire surface of the screen is used for the image (depending on the movie – some are not wide-screen). But this TV makes my setup look super cheep – my TV is inside of a dark cherry-wood armoire, and there is an awful lot of space above and below the screen… My old TV had a pedestal and a built-in speaker – much better look. I do not like the chicken-legs of the new TV’s. And separately bought TV stand in combination with sound bar doesn’t solve the issue. Looks like a cheep mess. But this new TV is missing a feature that I found very convenient in my first Visio (which btw is still going strong after 10 yrs). There is no way to connect a wireless keyboard to it. I am a cinema aficionado with a foreign accent. Search for a movie can get complicated and voice recognition becomes a pain. Must type. You can connect this TV to the phone, but typing is so much easier with a decent size keyboard. Plus, I don’t like co-dependency of unrelated devices.Another thing that I do not like – rewinding. It freezes when I want to replay a moment I missed. My 10 yr old TV doesn’t give me as much trouble, while both are on the same wireless network (I hate seeing wires and have them all hidden or eliminated in my home, so plugging the cable in is not an option). The apps. Home screen has some sort of featured movie ad on all the time and I end up following that link thinking that I am clicking on a movie of my choice. Very annoying, because it takes you to an app that needs a subscription and then you have to get out of it. And those featured movies are mostly mediocre, lol. Get caught in this trap almost every time, especially after turning TV on. Then start watching my clicks carefully, but still miss once in a while. Finally… After a month, I am still struggling to find display settings. I bought this TV because I wanted a better, brighter picture. But it feels almost too bright (?) with contrast hurting my eyes. And I have very bright lights around my home as well as the brightest settings on my phone and computer monitor – because I need that. Oh, the sound is pretty lousy, too. But that’s probably with all the new TV’s – to force you buy a sound bar. I keep looking for a TV that has sound bar integrated, but no luck. So… thinking of returning it and stick to the old one till it fails. It’s a shame. I was very excited getting a new TV.

VIZIO 43″ SMART TV
I wanted a new tv to replace an older Vizio that had become increasingly difficult to use to stream content even with the help of an Amazon fire stick. I have owned many Vizio tvs and have been overall very happy with this brand of tv. This one seems to be of a very good quality as I had expected. I was however somewhat disappointed—hence the 4 stars. The remote that came with this tv is horrible. When I stream content I want to occasionally use the pause and fast forward controls and this remote has neither of those control buttons. Fortunately the remote that I used for the older Vizio tv works with the new one. Other negatives—-there wasn’t a manual included with the packaging. It’s available online but what a cheap copout on the manufacturer’s part. Also, when we went to wall mount the tv to the existing tv mount, there were no mounting screws included–the old ones weren’t the right size even though the tv was the same size and brand–and we had to purchase them from a hardware store. My purchasing experience was ok but certainly could have been better.

Good picture, bad quality screen
I returned the first one of these because it had a dark shadow along the bottom of the screen and I thought it was damaged…but the replacement has it, too. It’s probably a little worse. So, I guess that’s just how these are? I guess it isn’t terribly obvious on video and it’s only really distracting when the screen is on something plain white (like this page), but, wow, I would’ve thought this would be a bigger deal to people. I would’ve paid a little more for something better quality if I knew this was an issue. Other than that, the picture quality is great. It does have issues working with my screen tablet and breaks the windows graphics drivers settings leaving the screen blank and inaccessible if I try to duplicate the screen, too.

Already broke
The media could not be loaded.
I bought this TV four months ago and the picture is already failing. It has a pink/green horizontal bar across the top of the screen that won’t go away. I’ve tried every solution and nothing works. Vizio’s quality has gone WAY down.Buy a quality TV instead. Now that I’m having to buy a new TV four months later, I would’ve been the same amount of money to buy a superior TV one single time instead of twice.

Decent
TV looks pretty good, but if you leave the backlight on default setting it makes an annoying buzzing sound. Only way to make it go away is to turn down the brightness.

The remote is very low quality and will be ordering old school remote because it’s heavier duty.
Bad remote
