Great Monitors
100 hz and IPS cant go wrong. The bezels are way thinner than my previous Viewsonic 1080p 60HZ monitors, and the picture is much crisper. 10/10 would reccommend.

Amazing how great an inexpensive monitor, like this one, is these days
I purchased the 27″ version of this monitor.This monitor will be subjected to the mundane, boring life of viewing Point of Sale software in my retail store. As this monitor is replacing an aged Lenovo monitor, this monitor met my needs of 1-VESA mounting point, 2-Removable stand/feet, 3-Internal power supply so I could plug a C13 (standard computer power plug) directly into the monitor. This saved me from crawling under a sales counter and running new wires.This monitor is absolutely perfect and I will certainly purchase more of these as my other monitors age out and need to be replaced.

Good basic monitor
This is a good (very) basic monitor. I would not use it if I had to use a monitor for an extended amount of time every day.Pros:- Good Price- Good image quality- Bezel is small enough so the monitor does not take a lot of spaceCons- For me the main drawback is lack of adjustment options — you cannot adjust the height of the monitor, and you cannot tilt it, or rotate it- The design is very basic – black plastic stand- No cable management option (aka you cannot hide the cables)It’s only 1080p but for a monitor of this size, it’s actually not an issue. Overall it’s a good monitor, but if you are looking for a monitor for a home office, get something better.

Easy to install
Our second ViewSonic, first lasted 15 years. Bought because of tilt option and blue light protection. We have a Mac Mini and the cable that came with the monitor worked great. I did call the help line with a question about the cable and the man was very helpful.

Great monitor, best option for the price
I am very pleased with this monitor. I like how large the screen is, and it is super easy to connect to both Mac and PC systems. It doesn’t have a height adjusting feature, but I have found that I don’t need it for my particular set up. The picture quality is very sharp, and the brightness level can be adjusted as needed. It is such a game changer to have a monitor in addition to the laptop screen, so this was a big positive in my book. Would defiinitely recommend, particularly if you can get it on sale like I did.

Great monitor for the price!!!
A good monitor for the price. Though the sound quality is not all that fabulous. But it works anyways. I never even use monitor speakers by the way. I simply connect my external speaker to my laptop. So sound quality is not much of a big deal for me. The display is great and the picture quality is also great.

Bad colors and dim brightness
Bought this to replace my older 27″ Viewsonic as it lacked a VESA mount and developed a stuck pixel over the years. Oh what a mistake this was. From the outside, this looks great. It uses a simple internal power supply and looks quite nice when turned off. The issues arise when the screen is on. Bad colors, bad contrast, bad backlight. You get what you pay for and this budget monitor lets you down in actual use. Comparing it to the older Viewsonic and AOC monitors I use this is worlds behind in terms of the actual panel inside of it.2 stars because it does look nice when not in use and it matches the listed description in most ways. Just not in the “brilliant colors” line.

Great dual monitor set up with only a small line between them
I was able to set these up in about 15 minutes. I turned on the computer and was working with them as soon as it booted up. I little Windows configuration and I had three monitors (was stuck using a single laptop until these arrived). Works like a charm, but I use them for work, so no games have been played on them at this time.

Too Much Wobble
The screen itself has a great picture if you simply need a big screen to get you through working from home for a while. My big issue is that the amount that the monitor itself wobbles on its stand is absurd. I was using it as a second screen for my work laptop. I can’t type of my work laptop with my palms resting without it wobbling like crazy. I’ve tried putting mouse pads underneath the stand and my laptop to try to dampen the vibrations, but it is still moving way too much. Reminds me on of those little plastic hula girls you used to see on car dashboards. If you have a super nice, solidly built desk with a monitor arm mounts, then you would probably be fine getting this. If you need to keep it on its stand on your cheapo desk like I have, I would skip this monitor. I plan on returning it.

Good monitor but it is shaky
It works fine as a monitor. But I was surprised that it is wobbly. The problem is that the plastic at the back of the monitor where the stand connects to the monitor is too thin. You can place one finger on each side of the monitor and wobble it back and forth quite a bit. So not sure that will not just break some day. Otherwise it is fine.

Was great…for a while, trying to troubleshoot now.
Initially, I was pleased with the two for one bundle package that I received, both monitors filled the role that I needed we’re working just fine.However it’s now approximately a month and a half after my purchase and one of the monitors will no longer turn on… I’m in the process of reaching out to view Sonic to resolve the issue, will update later.

Great Value
I’m sure there might be “better” monitors out there, but if you are looking for basic work functions, the “price per pound” for these monitors is unequaled. I don’t know how they hold up for gaming, but for spreadsheets and email they are absolutely AWESOME. Huge value.

Monitor Buttons Don’t Work
When pressing the buttons on the monitor, besides the power button, there is no effect on the monitor. I would expect to see a settings menu or manual input mode selection be displayed, but nothing happens.

Failed after 40 days of ownership
This is my 3rd Viewsonic monitor and I am extremely disappointed – I was a big fan. The monitor power cable seems to be “burning out” and after replacing it 2 times, Viewsonic is now replacing the entire monitor. Unfortunately, even though it is pretty new, they will not guarantee a new unit replacement.Update:Changing to 4 stars since replacement is working fine and that root cause may have been a faulty surge protector.

It’s Viewsonic good quality. Awesome size and built in speakers.
I purchased this monitor as dual monitor set-up. Audio will play only in one of the monitor and not both if sound is coming from HDMI only. Speakers are ok, don’t expect too much punch, but workable for office purposes. Not using it for gaming but don’t see why I cannot work. I love ViewSonic monitors, this is my 3rd one…VESA mount is very useful for my set-up.

Great 1080p monoitor.
The screen is bright. I had to turn it down to 90%. The colors are fantastic, better than my other monitors, and the images are sharp. It is a 60HZ monitor. With that limitation, it is still a great monitor for gaming, streaming, or office use. It is a great monitor for the price. I would purchase again.

Poor volume and easily broken.
Not to mention, I absolutely doubt the measurement. I knocked it down–it was one foot off the ground, on a milk crate. It hit the corner of the crate, though not hard, and shattered the screen. I replaced it with an LG 24″ which is considerably larger…You have to wonder. The picture, however, was great, esp. for such a cheap product, but if you’re trying to decide, go with the 24″ LG. Much better volume, brighter colors, and a far stabler stand that is easier to put on, and doesn’t cost much more.

So Far So Good
Replaced my old 10 year old Viewsonic with this model. Nice Picture great price, Amazon delivered one Day early no complaints there. Only trouble it lists an Audio Cord included. NOPE not there. Stand is heavy but still seems a bit Wobbly. I would buy again.FYI I purchased an Audio cord and the speakers are not worth it. Very poor volume even at max. Better off with out the speakers, reduced rating for this.

Works, but has major flaws
When it works, the display is good. The sound is anemic, but that’s not unexpected.There are two major flaws causing me to return it. 1) When the PC tells the monitors to go to sleep, this monitor reacts badly. It repeatedly detaches from the PC (through the docking station), and reattaches, causing the PC to give incessant noises. If the PC itself wants to go to sleep, this loop of actions may prevent the PC from doing so–I’ve seen it happen a couple of times overnight. 2) Sometimes the power button does not work. When it works it only takes a small push to react. But a couple of times it does not work at all no matter what I do–it just would not turn back on. The first time this happened eventually when I unplugged and re-plugged the unit it worked again. The second time this happened I’ve already decided to return the product, and did not try to unplug and re-plug the power cord.

Died after two months
There are definitely some quality issues with this monitor. Bought them in July ’21. They worked fine for my home office set up for two months. One day, one of the monitors didn’t want to turn on. I tried plugging and unplugging probably 15 times until it finally decided to turn back on when I hit the power button. Huh, weird. A few days went by – same thing happened. Then another time. I finally got in touch with ViewSonic to get an RMA. Kind of a pain in the butt to have to figure out a shipping solution and pay for shipping, but eh, it happens.Then a week goes by and the second monitor craps out too. I still haven’t even sent the first one in because I still haven’t found an adequate shipping solution, and now I have to figure out what to do with the second one. Based on other reviews, their turnaround times are about three weeks – before the pandemic slowed everything down. I can’t go without multiple monitors for 3+ weeks…At least their customer service representative is responsive and nice. I’d pass over this if I were you – get a more reliable monitor!

Died at 6 months
Worked great for my needs (just a web browsing/office monitor) but after just under 6 months (1-2 weeks shy) it completely died. While it turned on, no amount of updating drivers, new cables (and different ones like hdmi and DisplayPort), different input sources (laptop vs dock), it would not display an image anymore. Had to get a new monitor which can connect to the input sources. So I don’t know why it died, but I couldn’t find a fix for it. I wouldn’t recommend it unless I got unreasonably lucky with the lifespan. It’s the one and only monitor I’ve had die on me ever. I still have an asus from 10+ years ago which still runs.

Solid for 1080P gaming
I use two of these in a 3-monitor setup for 1080P gaming (5760 x 1080).Overall, I like these monitors. I appreciate being able to choose either DisplayPort and HDMI for the connection — and in fact I use DP for one and HDMI for the other (because my videocard doesn’t support three HDMI connections).The picture is fine for 1080P gaming, maybe a little dark for my taste but that probably won’t bother most people.One of the monitors does have an occasional glitch, where the screen will “tear”, but turning it off and back on solves that problem quickly.I’d recommend this monitor if you’re looking to do some 1080P gaming.

Marvelous Monitor

I just wanted a decent fairly sharp 24 inch and this is a good one. Remember that the 24 is measured diagonally so it will seem smaller than you think but for me its the perfect size. I don’t game so don’t care about that.

Exercise caution when using for office work, particularly text editing
I purchased two of these monitors to replace two older Dell monitors, primarily used for software development (so a lot of coding and text editing in general). They were priced attractively with all of the features that I needed.The Good: A good price for a 27″ monitor, DisplayPort and HDMI connections with built-in speakers that sound fine for what I expected and needed. I didn’t notice any significant display issues with video or graphics, and performance was fine.The Bad: They refused to go into a sleep state when using a DisplayPort connection, no matter what the settings were (both on the monitor changing the version of DisplayPort used, and with the video adapter itself). This was a nuisance, but not the central reason why I ended up returning them.The Ugly: The real reason I returned both of them was the absolutely terrible display of text, particularly dark text on a light background. No change to the monitor settings, adjusting ClearType settings (or disabling ClearType entirely) would completely mitigate the issue. It was the same regardless if DisplayPort or HDMI was used, and prolonged text editing or reading was enough to produce eye strain and headaches over the short time I used them.Bottom line, if you’re only going to use these for streaming video, etc. then they’re not bad and you’ll probably be okay with them. On the other hand, if you’re thinking of using them for office work, think again. Your eyes will thank you.

Excellent monitor with one caveat
I bought this to accompany another ViewSonic 27″ monitor I have in a dual monitor set-up. This particular model’s stand is not adjustable, so it sits about 2″ off the desk whereas the other one sits 6″ off the desk. It’d be nice if the things would move up and down like Samsung’s monitor stands.Other than that, it’s an exceptional monitor. If you’re using only one, it’d be perfect.

Good monitors, no warranty
I purchased these monitors back in August. The monitors are nice and big and sit well with my eveo monitor arms. A few months after use, I notice a vertical line on the right side of my screen. I was hoping it was a driver, cable, or refresh rate issue. Just my luck it was none of those. The 3 month grace period passed for me to return/exchange the product. Now I’m stuck with a monitor with a vertical line that’s going to get worse as time goes on.I’m usually particular about uniformity with the products I use, but once I render this monitor unusable I may replace with my dell monitor that I’ve had for 8 years with no issue.Overall, I like ViewSonic, I purchase their 22″ monitors for work all the time, but this personal purchase left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great monitor, terrible audio
The monitor is bright, crisp, and beautiful. The looks are great, but the audio is terrible. No problem though because you can just use the audio on your laptop if you’re using that kind of set up. Otherwise you’ll want external speakers of some kind because it’s really bad.

Lacking Color vibrancy and brightness
Was really disappointed when I turned it on to see really weak colors. It lacks any type of vibrancy. Typically monitors and TVs are cranked up out of the box so they stand out among others on the sales floor. This one was lame from the get go. I immediately went to the brightness setting and found the default to be maxed at 100%. That’s when I knew that Viewsonic itself recognized this as a problem and shipped it brightness at 100% out of the box.I then tried the different modes of which Game was the brightest. In addition the Color Temperature I settled on was Bluish which gave me what seemed to be the whitest white. Still not bright enough though.Lastly it doesn’t seem to completely go to sleep after my laptop is put to sleep via an HDMI connection. It keeps turning on every 3 minutes or so and displays that the source is not available. I have to click the little power button on the monitor for it to stay off. That’s not going to work, those little buttons are hard to press and are typically not constructed to be turned on/off repeatedly.Returned it and I would not recommend it.

Nice Monitors for the Price. Only One HDMI Cable is Provided, and No Screws are in the Box.
For some reason ViewSonic only provides one HDMI cable in the box. You will need two. Also you will need a quantity of ‘8’ machine screws in the M4 size, 8mm long. There are none in the box. What would it cost to have included them? Fifty cents? Also the sound quality of the speakers is marginal. They are ‘speakers’, but they are not high fidelity. If you are going to listen to music you will want something better. This said, these are a nice pair of monitors for CAD work, especially at the price.

Nice clear monitor
Bought refurbished. First one was DOA. They replaced it quickly and I like it. I use it with my Mac laptop for a larger monitor. Very nice with clear image and text. Was highly rated by Wirecutter and frankly inexpensive. I would buy again.

One of the monitors arrived damaged
I got the monitors delivered today and one of the monitors was damaged. It arrived about 15 minutes ago. When it arrived I noticed a small hole in the box and decided to connect the HDMI to my laptop just to test if they worked and the first one seemed perfectly fine and the second one was damaged (refer to image.) Thankfully amazon is supposed to send me a replacement in 2 days… I suppose we will have to wait and see. As for the quality it seemed like exactly what I expected other than this minor inconvenience the monitors seemed worth the amount I paid for them. I will update when I receive the replacement monitors

Very little room up top for a separate camera
While I love this screen, one of the main problems is that there is very little room for a camera to sit on top of the monitor. I use the Logitech camera and it sits on the actual screen which blocks the top row of the actual picture. More of an FYI.

Major Quality Issues
Update 8/19/18: I am still having problems. A fourth display arrived and is working, but my other monitor has now died. I will be calling tomorrow to arrange the 5th RMA for these monitors. I have lost months of productivity with the back and forth. Viewsonic’s support is great, they are friendly and immediately grant the RMA, but great customer service and only make up for so much when the product is defective. Wish I could give 0 stars.Update 6/18/19: I wanted to update this. I am waiting for the second replacement monitor to arrive I mentioned in my earlier review. This morning I went to turn on the my other monitor and it is dead. This makes the 3rd dead monitor. In case anyone is wondering if it is my house’s power doing this I use a surge protector and have numerous other display panels including an Acer Monitor and TCL TV that have no problems.Original: I purchased two of these monitors for a home office setup late last year. Several weeks after purchase, one of the monitors started having intermittent power supply issues. It finally died last month. I went through the RMA process which seemed too smooth. I expected the Viewsonic employee to ask questions and try to troubleshoot my monitor when I told him it was a power supply. Instead they RMA it immediately, which is either great customer service or they have been getting alot of calls related to power supplies. They talk about their “INDUSTRY-LEADING WARRANTY: 3-year coverage” but they require you to pay for shipping. I paid almost 90$ to ship it back, which is cheaper then a new monitor but brings my cost of ownership into the $200+ range. The process took about 3 weeks start to finish. This morning I plugged in the new monitor they shipped me. It powered on briefly then died. Another power supply. I am now faced with shipping it back or buying a new monitor. I would recommend anyone reading this buy a nicer monitor to begin with and save yourself the hassle.
