Great way to save those memories
Got this for my dad to be able to transfer all of our old vhs cassettes to save on a memory card and now he’s able to. Very easy to use and saves the videos with high quality. Nice and small device so you can put it away in a drawer. Really liked it.

Still learning how to use this.
I have a lot of VHS tapes I want to convert to digital video. This device should help me do that. I am still trying to figure out exactly how this works. I think it only converts over to .mov files. The device seems to be made ok, but just hard to figure out exactly how to work it. Hopefully I get it going soon. The built in screen seems nice and clear and the speakers sound decent for their size.

100/100I’ve got a couple of devices I can connect to use a PC to save video from my old camcorders, VCR’s, and other sources. It’s cumbersome, finicky about the config settings, and ties up a PC.THIS SOLVES ALL THE PROBLEMS!THIS is a simple, single, battery powered unit WITH a display that can ingest HDMI OR Composite Video/Audio and save it as an .MOV file. Simple, uncomplicated, and no “technical” knowledge required! A TIME AND LIFE SAVER!!!I’ve put this through the hoops . . . ingesting various media (including net streamed media) and then moving the .MOV file to my edit station and doing a little editing and rendering. Everything worked with no problems. There’s no “weirdness” to the files, etc.I really can’t say enough about this adapter. It’s a functional tool for working with various video formats. It makes recovering old video so much easier!I have found that while it does have and internal battery, using battery alone to ingest will consume it’s charge pretty quickly. I haven’t killed it, but I wouldn’t trust more than an hour on battery alone, and even then I’d prefer to plug it in since I usually carry a “solar generator” with my video equipment.Ultimately, is it worth the price? YES

Allows Video Transfer Without Computer
This unit allows you to transfer and convert old videos to digital without having to use a computer. We usually just use a computer to accomplish this but this one allows you to bypass the computer and use the built-in screen to view progress. Good for people who don’t have or use a computer and want to transfer videos to digital.

Great work!
Ok, I just want to say that most taped video is over 20 years old, at least in my experience. That being said, this little product really does it’s best to read that magnetic strip, and I believe it does a great job. You will always run into issues while converting video with any device, but the best thing about this is that I don’t have to sit and watch it all. That’s worth every penny. Definitely recommended

Awesome Way to Preserve Memories
Exactly what I had been looking for over the last few years. I tried out a few different options of transferring some old home VHS tapes to a digital format that I could share with relatives. Most of them didn’t really meet the cut. But this little gadget does it all. It’s designed to work with any sort of device or plug that you could need The quality of the transfer is good. And it’s small and portable. Very impressive little device, something you need in your life if you plan on saving your old memories.

Life saver!
Absolutely love this digital converter. We have so many mini DV tapes from our old camcorder which we can only watch with a camcorder. With this item I was able to transfer all of my tapes and VHS video to digital so we could watch them on computer or phones. The color and quality of the video is exactly how it was when we recorded it so many years ago. Had a little snag when trying to transfer VHS video to digital but after some trial and error I figured out I needed to change video quality to 720p instead of 1080p for the video to display. Came with 64GB memory card and multiple connecting wires for all your needs.

Buen producto, aunque un poco engañoso… La salida de video a PC es con un USB 2.0 que alcanza máximo 1080p 60FPS, adjunto imagen del manual con la tabla técnica, lo dejo en 4 estrellas por qué ya esperaba algo así y en líneas generales la imagen es buena y fluida, mejor que otra capturadora más económica que tenía.

funciona de maravilla
Al principio tenía una expectativa moderada, pero me sorprendió mucho la calidad y estabilidad que tiene, la he usado tanto en OBS como en ReStream para varias transmisiones, en Nintendo swich y en Xbox Series x, incluso me saco de un apuro en mi trabajo, conectándola a un circuito cerrado blackmagic de televisión para transmitir en redes a través de OBS. Como todo aparato es normal que se caliente, recomiendo siempre si es posible ponerle un ventilador chiquito cerca si tu transmisión dura horas. Eso siempre lo hago con cualquier aparato, la ventilación es clave para preservar.

Me gusta, lo unico malo es que cuando se caliente o despues de un rato, se atrasa el audio de 10 ms, de ahi en fuera estan bien la calidad es a 1080 y se puede capturar a 60FPS

Es muy buena, pero no captura a 1080@60p
Soporta resoluciones de entrada a 4K sin problema. En cuestión de captura, no tiene 1080p 60fps reales, para alcanzar los 60fps reales se necesita capturar en 720p. El audio de captura es de buena calidad pero es MONO, no da audio estéreo y ni mucho menos de 5.1 canales aunque esté encodeado con Dolby Digital. Lo que más me gustó es que a comparación de otras capturadoras chinas, tiene un input-output lag mínimo tanto en audio como en video, por lo que puedes usar tu PC como monitor mientras la usas para jugar en OBS. La recomiendo mucho por su calidad, precio y funcionalidad.Si eres streamer es buen aparato para comenzar, aunque si buscas la mejor calidad y algo que te funcione definitivamente y sin problemas, es mejor irse por una capturadora de marca elgato o avermedia. 🙂

El producto llegó muy rápido he de reconocer sin embargo el audio no se escuchaba bien, había un ruido muy molesto que no deja escuchar lo que se reproducía además de que no llevaba ni 10 minutos conectado y estaba muy caliente la capturadora de allí en fuera la calidad de imagen es buena

El producto cumple con lo que dice, yo tuve problemas para que diera señal al monitor de la pc, pero fue tema del cable HDMI. Mi única preocupación es que el dispositivo se calienta demasiado para mí opinión fuera de lo normal que hasta podría hacer que su vida útil se acorte

Aparentemente se ve de muy buena calidad física y de imagen pero mientras se empieza seda uno cuenta que no te entrega los fps que configuras, le cuesta mucho trabajo en 1080 los 30fps al menos 20 o 17 fps, en 720 pareciera que si te envía los 30 o talvez la sensación de los 60 fps, pero mientras se ocupa te entrega solo 20fps, y se notan cundo ay movimientos de cámara suaves se ve como se brinca, si busca fluidez de la imagen a 1080 este no es el producto.

De la calidad de la imagen no hablaré, está perfecto, pero si del audio, al grabar por espacios largos de tiempo el audio está desincronizado, lo cual es muy molestos, además que la calidad es baja, de momentos saturada, probé con varios niveles de volumen de la fuente y el resultado es el mismo, es el capturador y no la fuente… mande pedir otro para ver si es problema común con estos aparatos, les daré otra reseña cuan el segundo aparato. El precio es bueno, pero valdría la pena poner otros pesos para no tener estas molestias

Buena opción en relación al precio
Al principio dio problemas, reinicie todo y ya me deja poner 1080 60fps y transmite bien, eso sí se calienta muchísimo, el cable USB no es de buena calidad hay que desconectarlo y conectarlo para que agarre, recomiendo comprar un aislante de ruido para el sonido, en mi caso compré chat link con aislante integrado y resuelto el problema de zumbidos. Si vas empezando y quieres algo barato es muy buena opción.

Very good converter, but only records to MOV format
I still have a bunch of VHS tapes to convert, so this seemed to do the trick and in many ways it does. First the unit itsel – the shell is made of metal, as are the buttons, and it sort of gives it a premium feel, but I can’t say it really does because if you look at the brushed finish, at least on mine, there are a lot of scratches and not great worksmanship. The buttons are a little off-center. I don’t think this is used, but you’d think that maybe it was.Recording is easy and the main issue I have here is that it only outputs to MOV format. I have no problems playing that format but I rather it have at least an option to output to MP4 (x264 or even HEVCx265) where it is more compatible (x264) across the board. This comes with an AV cable and HDMI cable for input via either RCA cables or HDMI. It also comes with a 64GB SD Card to use. This is powered via a USB-C port and it does come with an adaptor rated at 5v/2A. The screen is nice and big but you can output it to an HDMI screen if you’d like. There is also a USB port if you’d like to save things to a flash drive – or you can use that port to connect to your computer to copy things over. However, I found it easier to jsut take the SD card or flash drive and mount it on your computer.It works well so far. For VHS tapes, there really isn’t a reason to use a recording resolution higher than 720p since your VHS tape will be like half of that resolution. You can also set it to 1080p High and 1080p Low quality resolutions. If you use the device to format your SD Card, it will format it to exFAT format, which is my preferred choice to use for things like this. It will record up to 4GB before automatically starting a new file – which is common with these. This device has a built in battery that you should charge before using. It allows you to use it for an hour or two without plugging it in. Nice feature, but I will always be plugging this in when recording. Two stereo speakers are on the back – but not sure how effective they are since you’ll only use it to monitor your recording.When recording, you can see how long you’ve been recording the current file, and also how much recording time you have left. There doesn’t seem to be any way to turn off the screen so that it is not on all the time while recording, which is a bummer.It’s not a bad converter but I think could be improved in some ways – such as output formats, worksmanship.

makes digitizing affordable
I am not technically savvy but i was tired of spending lots of money on paying for digitizing services. With dozens and dozens of VHS tapes and camcorder tapes resting unwatched for 20 + years I decided to order the “VHS to Digital Converter, Video to Digital Converter,1080P VHS Player, Analog to Digital Video” and try do it myself. And wow!!! it was easy. I read and watched you tube and figured a few things out and I can say that my pile of tapes is now down to about half.When I ordered the converter it was priced at $170, by now for Black Friday it is at about half!!! Just $89.99, if you have more than 10 old tapes that you wish you could watch again, go buy it now!

Works with standard 8 mm videotape
WOW! I am soooo impressed with how easy it’s going to be to digitize my old 8 mm videotapes! Inserting the SD card was the only challenge. I didn’t really even have to read all of the Quick Start guide before digitizing my first video clip. I’m converting video shot using a Sony Handycam® and recorded on standard 8 mm videotape. You connect the RCA jacks (included) to the audio and video outputs on your camera, then connect the 3.5 mm jack to this device through the “AV in” port. Press “record” on this device and “play” on your camera and the tape is digitized and saved to the SD card in the device. This comes with everything you need to get started including cables, power cord, recorder, and SD card. MS Windows default video player recognized and played the vid clip from the SD card. Allegedly, you can also hook the recorder directly to a computer and play the clip from the recorder. I tried to connect recorder to computer with an HDMI cable but that didn’t seem to work. The instructions mention using a USB cable for that connection. I haven’t tracked down the right cable yet to try that method. It’s easy enough to just take the SD card out of the recorder, plug it into the computer, and play the clip from the card. I connected the recorder to my TV using an HDMI cable and was able to play a vid clip from the SD card in the recorder. The device has an internal battery so you don’t necessarily have to be within power cord length of an electrical outlet to use the recorder. Simple, straightforward process. I got a copy of the open source video editing software “Shotcut” and was able to edit the clip I transferred from tape to the SD card. With this video recorder and the software, I’ll be in business transferring and editing all my 8 mm tape recordings to safer, more easily used digital formats. This product does EXACTLY what I need. It’s perfect for my task.

If you like pretty packaging then this is for you . that is all it has going for it.
This product is an absolute travesty. Calling it garbage would be too kind – garbage at least serves a purpose. The company clearly put more effort into the packaging than the actual device. This so-called “recorder” has two modes, play and record, but good luck figuring out which one you’re in at any given moment. And when you finally get the inputs set and start recording, there’s no indication that it’s actually recording. If the video signal isn’t pristine, you won’t even see an image on the screen. So for copying VHS tapes, even clean recordings, when you fast forward or rewind you see zilch on the screen so you have no idea where you are on the tape. In short – do NOT buy this, especially for recording VHS to SD as advertised on the box. This company should be ashamed for foisting such a useless mess on consumers.

Out the box, I’m screen recording and backing up old VHS recordings. Impressive
To the touch, this device is solid. Metal encased. Doesn’t feel like a toy at all. The screen is bright and crisp. It comes with most attachments necessary to quickly connect to a VCR, game system, or even computer (is what I originally did to test it out.My MacBook Pro instantly identified it as a 3rd monitor when connected to the HDMI port. I inserted the provided SD card, Charged it up (of course), and pressed record and it captured my screen in full HD on the SD card. The playback was clean and very usable. This has instantly expanded how I pull screen recordings for my content creation. I’m excited about this device. 5 star product.

Plug and play
The media could not be loaded.
Before the advent of all digital camcorders I had a compact VHS recorder or VHS-C. These are the smaller tapes that you use an adapter to play in the regular size format of a VHS player/recorder. Affectionately called “fat movies” by our kids we accumulated about 30 of these over the 90’s and early 2000’s. I have been toying around with sending these off for digitizing through some of the online vendors that do this kind of thing but it can get expensive. A family plan for 10 tapes will cost you about $140…..so for a few dollars more and a little bit of time on your part and it makes sense to use something like this. Operation was really simple. I like to try to figure out an electronic products Graphical User Interface or “GUI” without consulting the manual to see how simple it really is. I used this technique with this device and was up and running in about 15 minutes. The main delay was that I was plugging the component cord into my A/V receiver’s VHS output ports in lieu of a direct connection to the VCR itself and was not getting a signal. After connecting to the back of my VCR (see video), and installing the provided 64 GB SD card I hit play on the VCR and the record button on this unit and was up and running. The machine really does all of the work creating a 2.5 gb “MOV” file for about 30 minutes of high definition of VHS-C video. I was then able to remove the SD card and put it into the slot on the side of my laptop to transfer the files to my computer. The video quality is as expected, a little grainy but that was what we had back then. The hard part is editing and categorizing them, which is what I would have to do anyway even if I paid someone else to do it. In summary, very easy to use and much more economical than sending your tapes off to someone else.

Easy to use
The DigitConvert VHS to Digital Converter, Video to Digital Converter,1080P VHS Player, Analog to Digital Video Converter, Video & Audio Recording is great.The device is sturdy, housing is made of metal and the display image quality is very good. The user interface is very intuitive to use, it is not necessary to read the user manual to learn how to operate it.The embedded battery is a plus to keep converting the video even when there is no power outlet close by. I am using it between my laptop and the external monitor to record some trainings I am performing online and the only issue I found so far is that sometimes the HDMI video output stops working and I need to reset the device to make it work again. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Easy to use and gets the job done!
This device is easy to use and comes with an AV cable, HDMI cable, and a 64GB SD Card. However, it only outputs to .MOV format, which is a drawback. It has a large built-in screen and can output to an HDMI screen. It can also save files to a flash drive or your computer. For VHS tapes, 720p resolution is good enough but you can set it to record in 1080p resolutions. It will record up to 4GB before starting a new file which is large enough. It has a built-in battery that lasts for about 90 minutes based on my experience. While recording, you can see how much time you have left. Unfortunately, you can’t turn off the screen while recording. In summary, this is a decent converter, but it could use more output formats and, oh, better execution.

Calidad precio.
Para resumir todo, lo que es en 4k eso es falso, pero si graba en 1080p60 fps.Utilizo la capturadora en mi laptop como segundo pc para streams, tiene un exelente color, graba muy fluido y por el precio si es una muy buena opcion si tu presupuesto no es muy alto.

no e probado el 4k pero supongo que no es tan bueno viendo que no llega ni a los 60 fps grabando aun asi la recomiendo muchisimo si lo que quieres es empezar a crear contenido

CONTENIDO DE MALA CALIDAD Y MUERTE FUNCIONAL DESPUÉS 4 MESES DE POCO USO

Después de aproximadamente 4 meses de uso casual, esta capturadora comienza a presentar fallas, en especial en el puerto HDMI de entrada, el cual como pueden apreciar genera un ruido muy fuerte, demasiado marcado y difícil de quitar con los filtros de edición de audio y en especial los de OBS Studio, lo cual resulta completamente contraproducente para tus emisiones en vivo.La calidad de imagen parece ser buena y ser 4K como promete, pero realmente no lo es, a lo mucho alcanzará la resulución FHD (1920x1080px) y a 30 fotogramas por segundo en vez de 60 fps.En base a rendimiento la calidad de imagén que pueden apreciar es debido a los filtros que le coloqué, pero realmente tiene dos detalles, los colores son muy fríos y secos, por lo que tienes que investigar y calibrar por horas con el filtro de graduación de color, además hay sectores como en las palabras donde no se ve con la definición de un FHD (es decir que sea legible sin pixelearse), cabe mencionar que en zonas donde hay oscuridad (sombras o contraste de luz) si sufre bastante con la atenuación y balance de blancos y negros, es decir, la calidad de los colores o se vuelve muy brillante (en extremo saturada) o muy opaca (los colores se vuelven en extremo oscuros, principalmente donde predomina el color negro, gris y café).En lo que respecta al audio, solo posee conducto de audio mono, es decir que tanto en la emisión/grabación, como en la monitorización del audio de esta capturadora, solo vas a escuchar el audio en mono y no en estéreo/7.1 surround, por lo que en términos simples, significa que no tienes ni sonido ambiental, no hay sonido 360 grados y una enorme pérdida de calidad de audio y en la experiencia de usuario, sobre todo si eres gamer y quieres grabar/emitir en vivo, lo peor es que para poder obtener el sonido en estéreo (sonido ambiental en 360 grados) debes descargar y/o comprar un programa que convierta el audio mono a estéreo, lo que significa mayor inversión económica y mayor consumo de recursos de tu computadora, lo cual no es buena señal si tienes una PC de bajo poder y tus recursos económicos son limitados, además de que te tienes que comprar unos audifonos extra que tengan cable jack 3.5mm para conectarlos al puerto de auriculares que trae la capturadora.Si tienes una interfaz de audio o una mezcladora, puedes solucionar todos los problemas anteriormente mencionados, ya que la falla que yo presenté primero fue referente al audio de entrada por el puerto HDMI, por lo que puedes conectar la salida de audifonos (en donde si tienes sonido estéreo (sonido ambiental/envolvente 360 grados) y lo largo que debe ser tu cable es de mínimo 165 cm de largo para poder usar sin incomodidad el audio estéreo de la capturadora, lo mismo para el caso de la mezcladora de audio o de la interfaz de audio.Pero seamos sincero el costo de la interfaz de audio más económica es de mínimo $100 EUR que son $100 USD y que equivalen a $2000 MXN aproximadamente, mismo caso para la mezcladora de audio, además de la inversión que vas hacer para adquirir un cable que de una entrada se divida a dos salidas (una para el canal izquierdo y otra para el canal derecho, los cuales juntos otorgan un sonido estéreo), a lo cual son mínimo otros $25 USD o $500 MXN aproximandamente.Si tu mezcladora tiene interfaz para entrada auxiliar (cable jack 3.5mm) puedes ahorrarte el gasto de ese cable, pero la mezcladora más barata con esa característica tiene un valor mínimo de $175 USD o $3500 MXN.Ya sea en el caso de la interfaz o de la mezcladora, al final terminarás invirtiendo más dinero del que tenías completado, lo peor del caso es que como usuario vas descubriendo todo esto con el paso de los meses, vas adquiriendo el equipo (que puede llegar a ser hasta 10 veces más caro que la propia capturadora) que va solucionando las fallas que esta va presentando con el paso del tiempo y para cuando esta misma deje de funcionar ya habrás gastado cerca de $500 USD o $10000 MXN aproximadamente en el mejor de los casos.Mi veredicto final , no la compren, si sé que es económica, que prometé un 4k y que dije que otorgaba una imagen FHD (1920×1080) a 30 fps, pero la verdad es que no lo vale, bien podrás decir, son $25 USD es muy poquito y lo es, pero lo que no es poquito es lo que tienes que adquirir después para ir compensando los fallos que vas descubriendo de la capturadora con el paso del tiempo, al final adquirirás todo el equipo que compensé todo y habrás gastado hasta 10 veces más de lo que valía la capturadora.La sugerencia que doy en base a la experiencia que viví es que mejor se esperen un tiempo más, adquieran el recurso suficiente y mejor comprense una capturadora de “ELGATO” o cualquier otra capturadora de buena calidad y que tengan su propio software de uso.Porque esas si prometen lo que dicen, la calidad de imagén es mucho mejor a estas, además de que este software que incluyen se encarga de decodificar tanto el video en la calidad máxima de la capturadora como el audio en estéreo (sonido envolvente 360 grados) directo a tu equipo o software de emisión/grabación, lo que significa que no tendrás que estar comprando más equipo para solventar los fallos que vayas descubriendo con el tiempo.Es importante que el precio de estas capturadoras de calidad llegan a tener un precio de $175 USD (3500 MXN) hasta $300 USD ($6000 MXN) en el rango económico.Sé que el precio que acabo de mencionar es muy elevado en comparación con esta capturadora de $25 USD, pero la inversión a largo plazo será mucho menor juntos con los dolores de cabeza, ya que la calidad de esas capturadoras de buena gama cumple con lo que buscamos y satisface nuestras necesidades durante el tiempo que las usemos sin necesidad de estar buscando alternativas u otros equipos para corregir los fallos que nos pueden presentar una capturadora económica.Yo la verdad compré esta capturadora económicapor economía, por falta de paciencia y desesperación, todo debido a que quería lanzar mi canal lo antes posible, pero al final terminé posponiendolo debido a que tuve que corregir todos los errores que me fueron presentados por este equipo barato, y haciendo las cuentas de la inversión que hice, mejor me hubiera esperado para adquirir una capturadora de mejor calidad y de una marca reconocida.En mi caso mi falta de paciencia y el bajo costo de este equipo, terninó costándome muy caro.Amigos, amigas, influencers y futuros creadores de contenido, es preferible esperarse e invetir en algo de buena calidad aunque tenga un costo un poco mayor, a desesperarse y gastar poco inicialmente en un equipo “accesible” para el cual con el tiempo le tendrás que ir comprando otras cosas, ya sean audifonos o equipos de mayor poder como lo son las interfaces y mezcladoras de audio.Es mejor lanzar nuestro proyecto con 3 meses de retraso en la fecha prevista de lanzamiento, a tener que posponer casi un año por las fallas que te dará este equipo.
