Terrible viewing angel. Great price.
43” Bought this for a cheap 2nd monitor to watch movies on. PC mode looks terrible, use movie mode. Movie mode looks amazing. But it only looks good literally straight on. The edges of the screen are washed out if you are off center even a bit. Sitting close to this you will feel like you are blind because the edges are so washed out. Even sitting 6’ away if you are even one couch cushion off center the edges are washed out. You can see the backlight blasting the edges of the screen as well. That might have some thing to do with it as well. With 0 brightness there is still a glow around the edges of the screen that is constant. Not sure if this is defective or just how the tv is.Edit: Don’t get me wrong this is a good tv and for the price it’s great. Just not for my use case. If you are sitting far enough back you probably won’t get the washed out colors. But the backlight around the edges of the screen never goes away.

Great TV at a great price
I have purchased several TCL brand TVs before. Great product and I believe they have the best smart TV interface. The reason for the rating of 3 star is the mounting screws for a wall Mount are missing. The manual clearly states two sets of 4;x mounting screws should be included. Now I have to be inconvenienced to go to the hardware store and get them

Complicated for no reason
I had to download a google app, then create a google home and home account. Then create a room, name the tv, connect to it Via Bluetooth. To then connect the Tv to the WiFi, I had to use the app, and it kept failing. Hands down the stupidest tv I’ve ever tried to use

Damaged product
The box was severely damaged – it was completely open and the inside packaging was also damaged? Why did I receive this product in this condition?

Great Picture
I like the Google tv over Roku. I bought a Roku last year and signed up for warranty and now they have been billing me 6.40 a month. Didn’t know it and stopped it, but it started again. No more Roku tvs. I like the remote also, not a tiny piece of plastic.

Decent TV, serves its purpose for the price
Definitely not going to wow anyone except for price paid. That said, it’s not bad, it’s just not good either.I love Google TV, but they’re powering it with a 1990 cell phone processor here. It’s slow.Picture is pretty terrible out of the box, but check out the ratings s450g calibration settings guide and adjust the TV accordingly. Absolutely massive difference in picture quality and colors.Speakers are terrible, and for some reason this TV doesn’t play nicely with my soundbar so I’ve been stuck with the TV speakers. All that said though, the price was great, so in all fairness…I’m getting a lot of entertainment for the price so it’s worth a 4 star rating.

Great Television
This television is great! The price was great, and the picture is better than I expected. I have 3 other TCL televisions in my home. with a smart TV I didn’t need a firestick or any other devices to get started. The picture is amazing. I wish my other televisions picture quality were this good! Highly recommend.

Don’t buy if you value HDR or Dolby Vision.
This is not a good TV. The HDR/Dolby Vision is too dark, and the picture keeps getting hazy/fuzzy. It doesn’t matter which app or input I use. Furthermore, I have problems with multiple apps. I will not be getting a Google TV again. I’m even iffy on getting a TCL again.

One month in, so far so good.
Got this as a TV (to watch movies, shows, etc) and to also play the x box series x on it (4k at 60 hz). So far so good. I first ordered the 4k Hisense Roku tv and returned it for this one and that was a good move (my Hisense got a small dead pixel on the screen and occasionally kind of flickered while gaming). Both are at the same price and very comparible though. Some cons for this one include the voice part of the remote; it sucks compared to Roku. You gotta talk close to it and like a robot for it to work basically but this isn’t a deal breaker for me, especially since you could just get a Roku stick (or fire stick if that’s your preference ) which would then theoretically eliminate the only con in my book. So yeah, so far so good, especially for the cheap price it comes at.

More problems than you can guess!
As I read in reviews the picture quality is just so, so. Only a few manufacturers make 43” models and you have to take what you can get. The screen has too much glare. I found it virtually impossible to watch the picture on a sunny day without closing the drapes. It is no pleasure at night with room lights on. My old TV had NO concerns. The model is plagued with software problems. Upon arrival, it was already out of date. Virtually no apps are preloaded. It took me 5 hours just to download the 15 apps I do use. Voice command was of little help in finding them. Until you have Tubi setup it doesn’t know the difference between that and “To be” which gets you nowhere. I love remotes where the buttons are placed so perfectly you don’t need to look at them and arrive at the right place. This is not one of them. If you get lazy and don’t look, expect to lose your show. The home button takes you to home sometimes. And often times it never will. The same is true with other buttons. You will have to find your workarounds when they don’t. The Software is very unstable. If you click on your streaming menu “live” TV it takes you automatically to the Pluto app, even if you never had that in mind. And good luck trying to get to where you do have in mind. On Pluto, the program disappears every 10 minutes or so and up pops a screen saver causing you to lose your show. Waiting won’t take you back, you have to find your own way back. And expect to be annoyed as you miss a lot of your show. Let me assure you this is not Pluto’s problem. I’ve watched it for years. TCL Support is of no help. Their registration page requires the model no, serial no, date of purchase, date of delivery, and purchase price. After entering all the info up popped “REJECTED” which accuses me of “Maybe you tried to change something you didn’t have access to.” I spent so many hours in frustration I eventually emailed TCL support and asked them to register the TV for me. Would you believe their answer is “Rest assured, we are here to help. However, as much as we wanted to register the TV on your behalf, we do not have that option.” I wrote and asked for a US mail address to register it and did not get a reply. If they can’t handle that what can they do??
