Looks better, than in it is.
This kettle looks better than it actually is. Though I checked and rechecked the steel-looking part of it (it does look like painted plastic), I think it is most likely a metal of some sort. But the unit is very light and the sound it makes, when I tap on it is like it is a plastic.If I remove a kettle from the base while it is in process of heating, the shut-off button won’t go off and, if I place my now empty kettle on the base, it will continue the boiling process. I have to remember to shut it off manually every time I remove it from the base.Otherwise, I like this kettle, it does look cool.

Be care with lid- burnt my hand on metal edge
It just arrived! I rinsed it out and filled it to boil. Boiled pretty fast. Fun color (green), very stylish. Best for right-hand dominant person. I’m lefty I can’t see the built-in thermometer when picking it up with the handle using my left hand. I burnt myself first time using it when trying to remove the lid. It has a metal edge that seared my palm. Ouch!

I love it!
I started shopping for an electric tea kettle because I was continually turning the burner on, getting distracted and forgetting about it. I’m the caregiver for my husband (stroke survivor) and half the week have two grandchildren here after school – my mind is stretched a little thin. And I didn’t want to burn down the house!I began searching, saw this beautiful kettle and fell in love. I did lots of reading reviews of both this kettle and several others, bit the bullet and bought it.The kettle is adorable, with its bright yellow and chrome industrial type design. I didn’t buy it to be a thermos so I am fine that the water doesn’t stay really hot for a long time. I just hit the start again and it heats up very quickly the second/third time since it’s still hot, just not boiling. I also don’t have an issue with the pot getting hot. It’s a tea kettle! I haven’t even come close to burning myself. I can fill it up once a day and have several cups of tea without needing to refill.It’s a beautiful addition to the kitchen counter, it works perfectly so far, the base moves the pot smoothly and freely and it all makes me happy when I make tea.

It does rust after a few days
Good looking, works great, it is light, not heavy as expected. It did not rust on the first few times, but now it does. I am looking for a way to prevent rusting.

I do like it, but…
I do like i, but, I can’t give 5 stars.To look at it is lovely.I’ve been using it daily for a couple of weeks with no issues.Here is why I couldn’t do 5 stars…1st star off because the listing says “stainless steel.” Not part stainless steel, and that’s misleading, especially for this price point.All the silver trim is plastic, except for the pour spout.The entire handle, base plate, outer lid, switch, thermostat, water level window, and some other little parts inside I don’t know what they’re called…. all plastic.2nd star off is based off the quality vs the price. If I had known it is about ½ stainless steel and ½ plastic I would never have paid almost $60 for this kettle.I was trying to avoid a kettle with any plastic parts and thought based off the listing description and price I had found just that.Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. All I can do now is hope the plastic parts do not start melting off like I’ve seen happen with others made using plastic.

Great electric kettle
This is a great electric kettle! I bought it as a gift for my spouse. We use it multiple times a day. Weather it’s hot water for tea or oatmeal. Love that it has a temperature gauge because sometimes you don’t need the water as hot as 212 degrees F. I purchased in November and it still works well just the same as the day I bought it.

I really like the appearance of this one. The overall design is very simple and has a little retro style. It is also good to use. The body of this kettle is made of 304 stainless steel, which is food contact grade, which is relatively safe and hygienic. It can boil water very quickly, without wasting time, and it is not easy to burn your hands when pouring water. Then this kettle also has anti-dry boiling and overheating protection functions. It will be safer and more secure to use. There is a real-time thermometer on the body of the kettle, which can easily see the water temperature. It is very good. I like it very much.

Beautiful! I’m in LOVE
Absolutely gorgeous and works like a dream! Great price and boils very quickly. I tried several kettles…like 8…before purchasing this one. Great price too! I’ve now been using it for 4 mos and it’s just as great as day 1. Absolutely beautiful, did I say that? You will not regret this purchase. Only thing I wish it had was a keep warm feature. I still love it!

Lasted for just a month
Beautifully designed and manufactured. One little thing that makes it a total disaster – the “charging” pod’s contacts are TERRIBLE! The brassy terminals that the kettle’s contact fixture enters when you position the kettle on top of the pod to warm up the water are made of very thin metal, and they just break off exactly on the last day of the return period. Totally disgraceful, but so common approach of the manufacturers from that part of the world: make ridiculously annoying mistakes in the very basic and simple part of the product.

Should Have bought this many years ago!
I bought this item on a whim since I was trying to cut back on coffee consumption, and seriously where has it been all my life? It’s so painless and quick to heat up water for 1 cup up to a whole pot, which works perfect in our household of mixed coffee and tea drinkers. Pour 1 cup for tea, and the rest pour over a chemex and voila, everyone is happy!

Love the Retro Look
This kettle has an extra large capacity but is very lightweight for its sturdiness. It is my go-to piece of equipment for club meetings where I can offer a variety of teas and fancy instant coffee flavors without having to haul around a large percolator.

I will never go back to a kettle without a thermometer
I had previously used a hamilton beach gooseneck stainless steel electric kettle. The switch wore out after 2 years of heavy use and they offered a marginal discount on a new one. I decided to upgrade both size of kettle and to some form of temperature reading/ control. The thermometer so far continues to be accurate and is easy to see. It boils quickly. I was leery of the plastic outer walls, but this has not been an issue and the plastic is easy to clean. All internal components are stainless steel. I’m really happy with the purchase of this kettle and now believe all kettles without a thermometer are inferior and not worth my time. After the recent holidays, I feel the need to replace the kettles belonging to any of my friends or relatives whom I visit with this kettle.

Very handy
Buying this electric kettle was a great idea. I don’t always have the luxury to sit there and watch the stove when I boil water for my tea. I’m just 5 minutes, it boils my water for me so I can work. I am in love with the vintage design of the whole thing as well. I highly recommend buying this, especially at such a great price.

More useful than I thought
Love everything about it. I was questioning if I will get used to the open lid by hand instead of a button (only flaw in my opinion), but it did not seem to be an issue. I am getting used to it. The thermometer was more useful than I thought. After water sitting there for a while, I actually do use that thermometer as a reference to decide if I want to heat up the water again 😀 Good design!

A great performer!
I bought this around December 2022 and have been using it regularly since then at least 5 days a week. The water for my home comes from a well and goes through a softer and a multistage filter before we use it for drinking and cooking with. We occasionally leave water sitting in it and it still looks brand new inside and out.

Like the look but…
Purchased one in April 2023 and five months later (Sept. 26, 2023) it no longer worked. Ordered a replacement cuz I thought maybe it was just a fluke – but when the new one arrived it didn’t work. Not giving it another try. I’m moving on to a different brand. Recommend you do as well.
