The best I have found for the price! FANTASTIC with my Kindle Fire and I’m hard to please!
I needed to replace my broken set of Anker Soundcore headphone that I sadly steeped on. The Soundcore has held up well a few years of nightly use but can’t take a full force of a right foot in a dark room from 250 pound man ( what could? ) I wanted to replace with another Soundcore set as I liked my first pair so well. These Q30’s area a great value in active noise cancelling headphones. I use these at night with my Amazon Kindle Fire tablet and many times fall asleep and these play all night so these are for the most part comfortable. I find the noise cancelling function works great for background noise, especially with white noise like from a loud window AC, an airplane or road noise from a car/ RV.The battery life is FANTASTIC! I use these headphones 8 hours a night and only need to charge them every few days but I never let them get below medium so I may could get a full week of every day use if I pushed it.I have owned my last set a few years and never noticed any battery issues so whatever battery is in these headphone truly last and last!I am an audiophile and a pro sound tech so I know headphones however, I did not buy these headphone to give me “The Best” or fantastic sound for listening to music as thats not how I use these. I use these headphones at night to watch Sling TV on my tablet or youtube at night but my reason for buying the Q30 is I want the best, natural sound without boomy bass for the price paid that feels good on my head if I fall asleep and offer great battery life and will hold up a few years of every night heavy use with great noise cancelling feature as I don’t like background noise when I try and sleep. If you move up the Anker line you can find models that offer hi res audio but do your research as the device you are using must also offer that higher res format. Even with me being an audiophile my fire does not offer that and these are used for sound from my tablet and sound very good to my ear and natural for my limited use. so I don’t need hi res playback but you may but do your research as not every cell phone etc supports that option. Do note that if you ever damage the ear pads, you can buy replacements on Amazon. These phones truly hold up well. In this world of $300-$500 headphones Im happy I can find a good set that hold up and I truly love for much, mush less.. These may not be a big brand name but are built just as well based on my years of use and being a pro audio person. Yes its plastic but so are many of those mega expensive brands. Give these a try as I think you will like them and the price is the happy spot, I think this is the minimum amount needed to be spend to get a good set of great performing wireless headphones that the battery last for days and days . I will always but Anker, very good products!

Interesting kit
Long story short, sound is great with added bonus of being tunable to any preference via EQ App, battery life is top notch, ANC is great for the price range.Build quality is all plastic but the good kind and should last a while if you treat it right but the biggest gripe is the latest update for the EQ App which disabled the ability to use EQ settings while using an AUX cable defaulting the sound to muddy undefined mess would recommend to use these exclusively as wireless headphones. Here’s a breakdown of my cons, pros and thoughts.Pros-Price & Sound:Looked over and tested them out against my XM4s and if you’re on a budget the Q30s, with a bit of tweaking, can often sound BETTER than those more expensive all thanks to the flexibility of the EQ customisation which I absolutely recommend anyone who plans to nab these cans to do.Battery life:The battery life of the Q30s trumps just about every pair of wireless cans I have in my possession.I’ve tested these cans for 2 weeks with both ANC on and off both at full charge and clocked in:ANC ON: 38-42 HoursANC OFF: 58-61 HoursANC:Works great, not the best mind you considering its price range but punches well above it’s weight perfect for flights or blocking annoying people. Has 3 different modes too that you can toggle through but I never notice the difference between 2 of them being outdoors and indoors. Transparency is pretty average but does it’s job.EQ App:The App is extremely easy to use and enables some really nice flexibility to enhance your listening experience and pushes these headphones far beyond what its price point shows, there are 20+ presets to choose from depending on genre but for me and alot of people, Piano sounds the clearest and from there you can tweak the preset and save it in one of many spare slots on top of this, whichever preset you used last it will save unto the headphones so even without your phone or app, the moment you connect with a device via Bluetooth, the Q30s will play audio with the custom preset.Neutral-Build:All plastic with a metal headband, not bad, but not great either. The plastic is thick and sturdy not the cheap creaky type so thats pretty good, ears fold in nicely and the fit is nice and snug good for medium and small sized head.Comfort:Pretty comfy plenty of space for ears in the cups you wont feel much pushing in due to the way the internals are actually tilted a bit, though, clamp force is kinda weak and they can slip off easy.Cons-EQ App:Strange how this is also a con, well, eveything works well WIRELESSLY until you connect using an AUX cable, you lose all access to the app and your presets and the headphones default to a muffled mess, it’s not exactly terrible but the drop down going from sounding like 300 buckaroos to hot farts isnt exactly desirable, all this because of an intentional update from the company itself.Wired mode:Doesn’t suck as bad as people make it out to be BUT when comparing wireless mode to Aux mode…?Yeah its a big drop, but you’ll get use to it, until you jump back to wireless mode.Summary:Great headphones, seriously, the only real downside is the company’s stupid decision to purposefully disable a feature a lot of people loved.Otherwise the Q30s are a strong pair of budget BT ANC headphones priced real nicely, buying these will gurantee satisfaction for a majority of listeners.

Really good deal for the price
Overall, these headphones were a great deal for the price! Very comfortable, long battery life, and easy to use/pair with phone. Sound quality was ok, and noise cancellation was ok but not complete noise cancellation.

Absolutely amazing! So cute! 💕
I got these on sale but I honestly think they’re worth their full-price as well. I was in the market for a pair of over-ear headphones <$100 and specifically wanted light pink ones, which limited my options, but when I found these, I was pretty much instantly sold— and I’m so glad I went for it bc they’re perfect! As a disclaimer— I’m not a sound engineer or expert by any means, and I’ve never had over-ear or noise-cancelling headphones before, so my opinion on those aspects may be irrelevant but I do think these headphones sound great overall.I love that you have the option to use them wirelessly or with the AUX cable. Either way, the sound comes out crisp + clear. The Bluetooth connection is seamless + effortless; so far, I’ve only used these with my iPhone 13 and my Nintendo Switch lite, but both always connect quickly + without issue. There are 3 sound modes: noise-cancelling, normal, and transparency. I love that you can quickly switch between them via a button on the side. Transparency is great for being in public / when I want to still be aware of my surroundings, or when I’m at home but still want to hear what my partner is saying. Again, this is my first time using noise-cancelling headphones, so that was an odd feature for me to get used to, but it definitely works! I compared the sound options by listening to the city traffic outside my window— it was unreal how the noise-cancelling mode seemed to mute everything. They’re the exact light, pale shade of pink I wanted— exactly like in the photos! They fit very comfortably as well. I have a big head + average-sized ears— these fit me perfectly + the ear pieces fully cover my ears. They’re not bulky or heavy or anything either; I haven’t had any discomfort in general, nor when leaning my head against a pillow in various positions, which is a huge plus. The design is sleek + stylish, but still pretty minimal. I think they’re really cute. The carrying case is also cute + seems secure. I kept the foam insert to divide the ear pieces from one another when storing. As shown in my photos, my case has a few minor dents from being thrown around in my bag; it would’ve been cool if it’d been made of a sturdier external material that doesn’t show surface nicks as easily, but it’s not a big deal. Purely cosmetic, so far.Overall, I really love these headphones + have been obsessed with using them! They’re so comfortable (I’ve even admittedly fallen asleep with them!), sound great, are adorable, and are super easy to use!I definitely highly recommend them! 5 people found this helpful

Satisfied Customer!
The Soundcore Life Q30 headphones have exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I slipped them on, I was enveloped in a world of comfort and exceptional sound quality. Here’s why I wholeheartedly recommend them:Unrivaled Comfort: These headphones are like pillows for your ears. The memory foam ear cups gently conform to your head, creating a perfect seal that blocks out external noise while remaining comfortably snug for extended wear. I’ve worn them for hours on end, and never once did I experience any discomfort.Immersive Sound: The Life Q30 boasts rich, detailed audio that rivals headphones costing twice as much. Whether I’m listening to music, watching movies, or taking calls, the audio is crisp, clear, and well-balanced. The bass is deep and impactful, while the mids and highs are crystal clear. The included app allows for further customization of the sound signature, ensuring you can tailor it to your personal preferences.Impeccable Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): The ANC on these headphones is truly impressive. It effectively blocks out ambient noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music or movies. Whether you’re on a noisy plane, in a crowded coffee shop, or simply want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, the ANC on the Life Q30 provides a welcome haven of peace and quiet.Long-lasting Battery Life: Gone are the days of scrambling for a charger mid-session. The Life Q30 boasts a phenomenal battery life that can last for up to 40 hours on a single charge with ANC turned off. Even with ANC on, you can still expect a solid 24 hours of playback, which is more than enough for even the longest journeys.Excellent Value for Money: Considering the combination of comfort, sound quality, ANC, and battery life, the Life Q30 offers incredible value for money. They are significantly more affordable than many other high-end headphones on the market, yet they deliver a comparable, if not superior, listening experience.

More BANG for the BUCK than I ever imagined
I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about these new Soundcore Life Q30 headphones I just bought….My existing over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones are the Bose QuietComfort 25 series. I bought those about eight years ago. They are not wireless. That is actually why I’m upgrading now. I want a bluetooth wireless set. I had spent a lot of time shopping around and decided I wanted to buy the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 series. I just wasn’t terribly excited about the $379 price tag.I have two sets of Soundcore wireless earbuds that I have been using for a while. I have been quite happy with those and decided to see what Soundcore had to offer in this genre. I made the mistake of looking on Amazon rather than directly on the Soundcore website, but more on that in a minute…I found this set of Soundcore Life Q30 headphones for $79. That’s $300 less than I was planning to spend. I decided to take the leap and see if I could be happy with these. If not, I would go back and buy the Bose and relegate these to use when mowing the lawn or something. When I got these, I charged them up and downloaded the app, which I actually had already because of the earbuds… I started listening and put on some of my favorite music that I use to determine how much I like a set of headphones. I listened around to those tracks for an hour or so while walking around.. while driving… while doing various tasks. When you get down to the nitty-gritty here, these things are as good as my Bose headphones, and I think they are better in quite a few ways. The sound quality and the noise cancelling features are on par in my book. If I’m not gonna be happy with these Soundcore headphones, it’s not gonna be because of the sound quality. I’m stoked. The build quality on these is excellent as well. They feel fine and sturdy. The ear cups fit comfortably and they provide an excellent level of noise suppression on their own.The Soundcore app has some cool features. The main feature is the equalization control. You can tweak the sound to your own preferences and you can save multiple profiles to suit whatever you are listening to. These things really came alive when I started playing with the EQ. There is also a widget available for the Android desktop so you can quickly and easily change between the listening modes. There are three different noise cancelling modes to choose from. You can also turn noise cancelling on and off as well as select a transparency mode that amplifies the ambient sounds so you can have a conversation with someone without removing the headphones. You can also switch between transparency modes and noise cancelling by cupping your hand over the right earphone. The right side headphone has volume controls and the pause/play button. The right side also has a jack for the included wire if you want to wire into your sound source with a cable. The left headphone has the power button and the listening mode control as well. On the left headphone there is also a USB-C connector where you can charge the headphones. These will also integrate with your phone but I never use that functionality so I won’t even talk about it. It’s a feature that I just don’t use. These headphones also boast a 40-hour play time on a full charge and a 5-minute charge to get your four hours of listening time when you are in a jam for time.I wish I had looked at the Soundcore website before I bought THIS set of headphones. There is a newer model called the Life Q35 that lists for $129. That model boasts some improved communications with the transmitting device for better sound quality and a few other features that might make it worth the extra $50. Even at $129 we are still far below that $379 price point I was looking at with the Bose.I’m NOT raggin’ on Bose here either. I’m sure Bose has come a long way since my purchase and they are possibly a LOT better than these. I dunno. I don’t have the current models for a comparison and I won’t. I am happy enough with these. I may even buy those Life Q35 headphones so I can have an extra set to keep where I use them.

Great headphones
I bought these headphones specifically to use at work. I wanted headphones to cancel ot lessen the noise around me. The office can get very loud, busy, and crowded so I needed headphones that could lessen the noise and distractions. These headphones are great! The weight is perfect sound quality is great sometimes a little too great. I like the black color for work. The only thing I would have to say is not perfect is the fit. They fit me a tiny bit big but that’s ok because I am very petite and I have a lot of trouble finding anything that truly fits. The reason why I chose over the ear headphones is because my in ear headphones are too big even at the smallest setting and hurt my ears and give me headaches. The mic quality for phone calls is a little soft I have heard but overall it works better than my in ear headphones. I am really happy with my purchase. They are worth it.

Soundcore scores big
So I’m hearing impaired and was using earbuds with my TV in order to hear more clearly. I purchased Soundcore and received them today, and the ANC blew me away. The AC is on and being hearing impaired it’s a huge distraction while trying to watch movies and YouTube videos. Slipped these on today with my TV turned on the ANC and boom!!!!! The world around me has been silenced and I can hear the TV with a great movie quality and sound. The other thing it’s light in the head, I am surprised how light they are, and don’t squeeze my ears as did beats head phones were notoriously difficult to wear for longer periods. These feel just right I am surprisingly happy with the sound and overall fit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for now, I want another pair for travel and office use. These are strictly for home and TV use. This review is subject to change if anything should change. Love the color blue, I laleayd purchase black I took a risk on stepping outside of my comfort zone. It connected quickly without any bugs. Update 9/26/2022 8:09 am, unfortunately I sent it back ANC is not really good outdoors, as a hearing impaired person it allows too much outside noise in and therefore becoming a challenge to hear the music; indoors fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ outdoors ⭐️⭐️Update 11/5/2033 I repurchased this item again why? Because it works excellent at home not in public so because of my hearing impairment this is the best option ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good hardware, lacking user experience
Let me preface this by saying that I bought these mainly for the noise cancelling, to use both to focus when working/watching media on my PC and to mitigate external sound when sleeping. I actually don’t really listen to music that often and can’t say much about the audio quality beyond “it’s acceptable”. I do have many things to say about the other two use cases though. When using it on the PC :As long as you plan to use it by BT you should be fine. I had some trouble getting it to connect at first but I blame that on my PC being old (Win 7), I made it work somehow by using a newer BT dongle, the fact that it somehow works at all on such an old setup is a plus to me, whether this was intentional or not. There’s two inconveniences though :1.- Even though you can connect by 3.5mm, the product listing doesn’t tell you anywhere that NC or EQ features are not supported during this mode. What’s worse, apparently the feature WAS supported a few years ago, but it got disabled by a firmware update somewhere down the line because of some bogus reason (the fact that more expensive models that came after this still support the feature is kinda fishy too). If you were an old user, this was a choice, whether you wanted to update or not, but new buyers will find that the product now ships with the latest firmware when you buy it, so you’re stuck with it. I wouldn’t blame you if you just assumed NC should work over 3.5mm, as it is a normally a standard feature in this price range, even worse, a lot of the reviews out there on the product are from the time when the feature was available, so people deciding to buy without doing research or based on old information are in for a bad surprise. As it is now, when you use 3.5mm the logic part of the headphones is completely turned off and only the speakers work, so you’re left with the regular unfiltered sound, and to put it frankly, the audio quality like this is terrible and not worth it, do not buy these if you plan to use 3.5mm at all, you’ll be sorely disappointed.2.- Speaking of NC and EQ, those features have several options that can be adjusted to your liking through a phone app. This is a good thing as the default config may not suit everybody’s use case, what’s not so good is tying these adjustments to a phone app only. Why do I have to switch over to my phone when I want to adjust a setting on the fly instead of being able to do it directly from my computer? What if something happens to my phone or the app stops working/gets pulled from the store sometime in the future? A PC app would have been a great alternative, and being able to modify some of the options just by using buttons would have been even better. When using as a sleep aid :This is gonna be a very picky and niche use case, but sometimes, I may be woken by unexpected noise in the middle of the night, at that point I like to be able to grab my NC headphones and put them on as soon as possible, without having to think too much about it or turn on the lights, to be able to go back to sleep. This product fails in that regard in several ways.First, the case that they ship with : The headphones only fit in when you fold them inwards a specific way, taking them out and unfolding them is a bit cumbersome and I wish they would have given you a bigger case in which the headphones fit normally without doing this. I think the idea is to make it so it takes less space when packing them or something, but the case is fairly big as it is, so if you want to save space you’re probably gonna take them out of it anyways. Should keep the folding ability but make the case itself bigger so you don’t need to store them folded.Turning on the thing is also unnecessarily complicated, the power button is same size and shape as every other button, and you have to hold it for 3 secs to turn it on, again, not the fastest or easiest thing to do in the dark. My generic brand headphones from similar price range but much older have a single slide toggle switch, it’s size and shape are different from the other buttons and turning it on just takes a flick, I would much have preferred something like that.Once the thing is actually on, turns out it will turn itself off after a few minutes if it’s not paired to anything. So if you want to just use the NC by itself, though luck, you better have your phone nearby with BT turned on so you can connect to it, even if you don’t play anything on it. Again, not the fastest thing to do when you’re on bed.Lastly, and this is a minor gripe, the device has an LED status light to indicate whether it’s ON, in pairing mode, etc. For some reason the thing is perpetually blinking regardless of state. I can understand for pairing mode, but why not just make it solid when it’s actually connected? If I take off the headphones and lie them around on my desk and forget about it, I can’t tell from a quick glance if they’re ON or OFF, I have to stare carefully for a few seconds to see if the blinking comes on and what color it is to know what’s going on. Annoying.”Better sleep” function :This is a feature of the app, it is not highlighted that often but a few reviews mention it, as one of the few people that could make use of it, I will give my thoughts on it : It’s basically a white noise machine, you have a few white noise loops to choose from and you can adjust the volume of each one individually so you can mix and match to your liking, so for example, you can have loud rain with faint sounds of birds in the background or vice versa. You can also set a timer for how long this will play for. It’s a handy feature but nothing exceptional, the stock noises are limited and may not be of everybody’s liking, the loops also feel kinda short. I find myself using mostly the rain only. If you’re into this, chances are you probably already have your own long white noise loops saved on your phone anyways, which would work just as well.Good things :Putting all that negativity aside, I do think the hardware itself is very good at this price range. The NC has 3 different settings and is worth trying them all out to see which one works better for your environment, it won’t silence everything a 100%, but it works much better than my previous cheapy headphones, and I doubt you can get much better NC at this price range. The headphones are comfortable and I have no problem sleeping with them or wearing them for hours. Is hard to tell how well the build will hold over time, but after a month of usage, nothing has broken yet. The battery is LONG and I only have to charge it once a week if anything. Although it’s not something I was even aware when I bought the product, turns out it has a built in mic and it’s surprisingly good quality, I have been able to do many long voice calls with it with no complains about the quality from the other party so far.Overall, despite the poor user experience and having to adapt to its many quirks, I do find this product useful and plan to keep using it in the future. I just hope when/if I upgrade sometime in the future, that the newer products on the line don’t suffer from the same usability problems.

Best headphones I’ve ever owned
I don’t believe words can explain how great these headphones are, but I’ll try anyway!I used to own a pair of the Soundcore Life Q35 (the next generation of headphones after this one) but I dropped them one too many times (without realizing how expensive they were) and they broke. ):But these headphones are just as good, and they work basically the same way. The noise cancellation is perfect; I can’t hear a thing when I have even the slightest bit of sound running through them. The “transparency” mode was something I didn’t know they had, but something I use a lot as well, since it’s similar to how military headphones and bone conduction headphones, where you can listen to something while also being able to hear everything around you as if you weren’t wearing anything at all (although bone conductors are definitely the better choice if that’s what you’re going for). The bass on these is immaculate, and blasting music (despite being so horrible for your ears) is something I do often with these on. I could not ask for better headphones (except the bass boosted Skullcandy headphones or something, I guess). The sound quality is perfect, I’ve had no issues with them at all, being able to switch the headphones between the normal, transparency, and noise cancelling settings is simple, quick, and easy to do, as well as switching the headphones from wired and plugged into my PC, back to normal Bluetooth audio being really nice. The charging port is Type-C, so charging it takes barely any time at all for it to reach to full, only for you to be able to wear them and use them for 40 HOURS STRAIGHT right after (which is insane, and I’ve fallen asleep with these on before just to wake up the next morning with music still playing and my phone at 5%).Overall, these are the best headphones I’ve ever used. The ONE AND ONLY issue I have is that the built in microphone is pretty low quality, but that’s not the reason I bought these headphones, nor do I use the microphone at all. If you want bass, noise cancellation, and long lasting headphones, invest in Soundcore Life Q30/Q35 for sure. Solid 11/10

Wanted to love it.
I really wanted to love these headphones. They were a perfect fit for me. The sound quality is very good for the price. The bass is decent especially if you utilize the equalizer. But they ripped under normal use. I did not extraneous besides wear the headphones.UpdateI was very disappointed that these headphones fell apart so easily. I decided to see if there was some sort of warranty on their website and there is! I was able to submit a request and within 3 days I received brand new covers for both the left and the right of my headphones even though only the left was defective. Great customer service through the website and very responsive. Still rate it a 4 because the issue should have never happened to begin with.

What’s up with the battery?
I’ve owned this product for four months and here are my observations:I use these exclusively during lawn mowing chores and the over-the-ear style provides some noise attenuation and the active noise cancellation provides further noise reduction. The sound quality is good (better IMO than my Airpods), bass is tight and controls and comfort are fine. Integration with my iPhone is smooth. Noise cancellation is satisfactory on each of the settings through the product’s app. Bluetooth connectivity has been solid. Now for the battery life. There’s no indication when the battery is fully charged on the unit, i.e., a green LED when fully charged. Or maybe there is one and it’s not an issue because, despite lengthy charging sessions, I’ve never been able to fully charge the battery! How do I know you ask? The app reports the battery state of charge and it’s never reported more than half charged. This may be an app or battery issue and there’s no way to tell.To be fair in my review, I’ve never run down the battery during my ~1 hour 45 minute mowing sessions, nor has the unit stated ‘low battery.” So the battery and the headphone’s functionality meet my needs and thus, earns four stars.

Reliable and Well-Built, Noise Cancelling is Excellent
I purchased the Sound One from Anker and was not impressed when after 2 months they snapped in two after regular use. This model is of much better construction and better fitting. The Noise Cancelling modes are excellent. The battery charge last for several days of regular use. No interference on the Bluetooth. Overall an excellent product!

Excellent noise cancelling and fidelity at a decent price
We have 1 acre of property and about 60% requires mowing. I bought these headphones specifically to use when riding around on my noisy lawn tractor and they fit the bill just fine. The sound quality isn’t as good as my Bose headphones, but for about 25% of the cost of the Bose, it’s still pretty good. The noise cancelling circuitry works very well and my ears are happy for that.Overall, a solid headphone for the price.

Im shocked
After rocking the Soundcore Q20 vs Q30 on a side by side test, it turns out the SoundCore Q20 are the better headphones. The Soundcore Q20 are easier on the ears and doesn’t fall off of your head easily from bending over or shaking your head. The Q30 fall off after a light shake and I have a big head. Trust me. The soundcore Q20 surprisingly has a better sound quality but the Q30 can play music with a larger range of frequencies. There are in no way Bose Headphones (Q20) but they do hold their own and worth the money. I am sadded because I chose the q30 due to many YouTube reviewers reviews and honestly thought the upgrade would have been worth it. So here it is…The Sound Core Q30 has okay sound. the q20 sounds better overall and i don’t need an app to adjust the sound. I find that the app helps but I don’t like going back to the app just to adjust to the type of music i listen too. It becomes more annoying to keep going back and forth. The bass in the q30 when adjusted is amazing! However, as I said, you are going to have to keep going back and forth to adjust to the sound which gets annoying. The SoundCore Q30 are a cool looking set of headphones but they hurt my ears. I am not sure why they hurt my lower ears so much but they do. i think i might need them to wear in because they are to tight at the bottom of my ear lobs but not tight in the middle so that they don’t fall off of my head. Not a good choice of materials unfortunately. I also didn’t like the noise canceling feature since it was on and I could still hear everything like the AC running in the background. Something that doesn’t happen with the Q20. The headphones will need some getting used to but I think that with the price being twice of the q20 then it’s not worth the upgrade and to just stick with the q20 w/hard case instead of the q30. I DO like how to SoundCore Q30 has a hard case. Very nice and a plus. Adds a touch of elegance for a budget headset. Anyways, I did also upgrade the firmware and it didn’t help to much. I think the q20s are the way to go and just save the rest of your money. I’ll update if it gets better over time or if I hate it enough to return.Update***I ended up buying another pair of Q30’s to see if my first one was defective and it could have been. Reached out to Sound core but no one ever responded so I just purchased another pair and returned the old pairs.Do I think the upgrade is worth the money? No. It’s not worth the money from the Q20’s. I gave the Q20’s a better review and should have kept them vs these but that’s okay. The noise cancellation is not really noise cancellation. It’s more like noise isolation. My ac runs and it doesn’t make much noise and I can still hear it with the noise cancellation on and the music playing. I swear I am not kidding. The noise cancellation was way better on the Q20 then they are on the Q30s. I think (am not sure) that the reason why there is noise still coming in is because the padding around the ear is thinner than the q20. I think that’s the reason but noise cancellation is on (as I type) and I can still hear the air blowing. If I can hear the air blowing now in my house as I work from home then I know I am going to need another pair of headphones for flights and stuff to block out the noise which kinda negates the purpose of these because I was hoping they would cover all my bases. That’s okay.Anyways, I wear these for work about 9 hours a day 4 days a week and then 2 hours a day at the gym three times a week and another 2 hours a day studying for school about 6 times a week. I have music playing in the background for school so i get to know headphone pretty quickly. First thing is first is that they still hurt my ears. Mostly towards the top of the ears after and hour or two I have to take them off to not make my ears to sore. The Q20s were comfortable AF and comfort wise the Q20’s were better. However, the Q30s do not cause a lot of sweating around the ears, something the Q20’s is known for. Like the Q20’s makes me sweat big time around the ears and I don’t sweat easily. The Q30’s win there but they could have kept the memory foam like the q20s but just used a different material instead of the faux leather is they were trying to address the issues. maybe the q40s will have it down the road who knows. The factory setting is not as good as the q20s and I hate going back to the app to adjust everything for every song. I still haven’t figured out the custom settings in the app and it is what it is. However, once adjusted the Q30’s do take off and sound awesome but i just personally don’t like changing settings all the time so for now I am just keeping them at factory settings.I like the part where you can put your hand over you right ear and it changes the settings. That’s the best feature of these head phones to be honest! Love it ! I play with it sometimes and IDK, I personally like the feature. Overall, soundcore does make good products and i’ve watched all the youtube videos and read a lot of the reviews and I think the youtube videos are full of crap because I think a lot of what they touched base on was more of a selling point then actual feature but I get the game. If you review the headphones in a positive light and you’ll get more views and more request to do more videos. Anyways, the headphones are not bad. They are okay at best and at worst. I think a solid 3 stars is appropriate. If you want to get them go for it but you might need to lower your expectations from what the youtubers are Reddit Forums are saying. They are okay and the case is a nice touch. If you want to save money then go with the Q20’s and save $40. If you want the hard case , like me, then just get the q30’s because that’s the best feature of this product. Case is cool and very sturdy and included with the purchase!*Update,The noise cancellation is non existent. I have to blast the music to shut down the noise. Id say, just get some AirPods Pro’s and save your money. Doesn’t work well on airplanes either.

A bit better than the Q20
Excellent ANC (Active noise canceling) wireless over the ear headphones. Replaced my aging Bose QC-1 and I am more than happy. Gave my son the option to upgrade and give me his Q20 and his conclusion was he liked the Q20 better. Reviews from outside sources put the out of the box experience with the Q20 as better than the Q30. Have not messed with the equalizer functions yet.For the money, I do not think you can go wrong with Q20/Q30

80% as good as Bose 700 at 20% of the cost.
I tried the Soundcore Q30, Q35, Sony 1000XM3 and Bose 700.Q30 & Q35 were the only ones that didn’t have some kind of issue or problem complicating things immediately, and the Q30’s were the only ones not instantly disappointing.Q35 seem to be Q30s with worse earpads, a little better ANC, a slightly more premium feel in general like the plastics, the carrying case and box it come in but much much worse transparency mode and an additional $50 price tag.I was primarily looking for the ones with the best transparency mode to be able to hear my kids and monitor the house at night while still listening to something privately. In the end the Bose 700 has the best transparency mode but too many other problem and extreme cost. The Bose 700 were the most disappointing.Literally had me saying outloud ” $400 for this, is this a joke” as I struggled to get their terrible app to work with their headphones. The headphones linked to my phone as one device and thought the APP on the phone was a different device… I was literally googling Bose support pages with in 5 minutes of opening the very nice cardboard box to figure out how to reset the headphones device history and re-pair them. Turned out to be easy to do but still infuriating, and took 3 tries before the APP managed the find the headphone anywhere near as quickly as the actual phone did and finally paired properly. The transparency mode is incredible but mostly I think because you can hear your own voice nearly perfectly so you don’t have the ‘inside a barrel” feel. But also there was a faint repeating crackle or pop sound that was very tolerable if not for the pricepoint. the sheer cost amplifies the negative feeling associated with every little flaw and unfortunately these 700s have multiple. Bose transparency is the best but it is absolutely NOT $320 better than the Q30s.The Q30 had the second best transparency mode and the worst anc of them but still really good anc. (As in I could still fainly hear the air conditioner sitting 3 feet away from me).Sony’s 1000xm3 had the best ANC but worse transparency mode than the Q30, with the xm3s you can hear everything but you can’t tell what direction anything is coming from, it’s odd. Like your not hearing your surroundings but instead are hearing a fake recreation of your surroundings being played back to you. It’s hard to describe, I only realized that was the problem after hearing a bird outside, with the xm3s I could hear a bird but had no idea what direction it was coming from but with the Q30 I could hear the bird immediately and what direction it was.Note: with the xm3s, if you buy the international version all the voice prompts will be in Chinese. The sound is an awful bassy mess on all of them but the Bose 700s unless you fix them with the EQ but thankfully they all have a decent EQ with the exception of the Bose which has a nearly worthless EQ with 3 sliders. Ironically the worst EQ is on the one that doesn’t need one basically at all but is so expensive you’d expect the option.Bose EQ is very clearly an afterthought slapped onto the app in response to Sony having one and being the new King of ANC.Oh also of note the Q30 and Q35 have that unpleasant “new memory foam” smell right out of the box but it nearly immediately goes away. Perhaps they should have let them air out for a few minutes before immediately shipping them. It’s something you’ll probably notice but shrug it off and you’ll forget it was a thing at all.TLDR; Buy the Q30s and wonder to yourself what how they are 80% as good as Bose 700s at 20% of the cost.If the absolutely need the very best ANC money can buy get the xm4s probably but everyone else should buy Q30.

Not Impressed Update from 2 to 4 stars!
November 20,2023- Bought in March 2023, stopped working in October 2023. Barely used, used only during workouts and only the cardio portion of it because they kept falling off my head during resistance training (moving around etc) so definitely not for active people. Contacted customer support for their warranty of 18 months. Naturally, I am expecting a new pair since they are so new. Will update review bases on that interaction. December 5, 2023. Customer service was a delight, we troubleshoot did not work and they did not hesitate to send me a new pair. I can listen to music again or focus while studying!

Steal for the price
I don’t write reviews much but these deserve it. If there are better headphones for less than $70 I would be surprised. These are perfect gym companions with my Earfun Free Pro 3’s. I recommend these cups for sure!

Decent noise cancellation for flights, but not the best
I got these headphones for flights. Took them on a spin on a recent trip. Sound quality is quite good, although bass heavy. I did have to reduce the bass via the app.The noise canceling does work, but it muffles the plane noise. It does not completely cancel it. For the price, I think these are very good headphones. I plan on keeping it until someone gifts me a Bose 🙂

Really wanted to like these, but returned
First of all, my review might not be fair so please read this with a grain of salt. I do consider myself an “audiophile” which frankly isn’t a status symbol of my knowledge on audio, it’s simply that I have hole in my pockets from spending on audio gear. I do own several high end TOTL IEMs and Headphones from the likes of Empire Ears, Unique Melody, Meze, Hifiman and Audeze, but I am also trying to be as fair as possible in my review here as I can’t compare any of these brands to Soundcore. But on the other hand, I do other “consumer” headphones from Sony and JBL, so I’m trying to frame this review around that as a comparison.I was looking for something simple that I can occasionally take with me to the gym, for walks, at an airplane, etc., where I wouldn’t be absolutely paranoid about dropping, scratching or breaking them in the process. From the reviews, seemed like a no brainer, but unfortunately after receiving them it was a bit of a disappointment. On the build quality… Plastic”ky” is the best word to describe these. They feel brittle like its one drop and done, $79 bucks down the drain. The controls on the headphone are also very cheap and finnicky. Even putting them in the case makes me nervous as it crackles just by folding them together. On that note, the case is just way too small, some wiggle room would be nice to make sure there isn’t so much pressure on the frame when closing the case. The app is decent, Bluetooth connection is solid just note that it maxes out at AAC so you don’t get LDAC (not expected at this price point), but overall solid connection with no issues. Now to the sound. Simply put, EQ can’t fix how broken the sound is. Everything sounds muddled up, and when I say everything, it seems like it’s the entire frequency range, and not matter how much you cut either the bass or high frequencies it seems like everything is just blended together with very little instrument separation. I tried everything including going to the extreme of building custom profiles in Squig.link against the Harman target and loading them up in Wavelet (Android app) and there’s no way to fix it. The only plus to the sound is that it’s loud and rarely clips – even with EQ profiles in the +7 to +10 db range for certain frequencies which didn’t require any global negative gain adjustments. So to wrap this up, how do these compare to other consumer headsets I own? It can’t hold a candle to Sony WH1000XM5 in either sound quality or ANC, but that’s still a $400 USD headphone. Now if I compare these with something within a similar price range like the JBL Live 660NC that goes for $99… Unfortunately the Soundcore Q30 can’t compete with the exception of ANC, which I think is on par with the 660NC if not slightly better. But in terms of sound quality for an extra $20 it’s the 660NC any day of the week, with a much better build quality (sturdy frame, solid build, feels “premium”) and much better sound quality that is extremely responsive to EQ, with a strong bass that can “rumble” if pushed, without muddying the entire mix.

Most High Expections Met.
I’m very picky. I am an avid music listener and someone who plays instruments has high expections for sound quality. I picked these up, because I wanted an inexpensive pair for travel. I have been reluctant to travel with my very expensive earbuds/headphones. Anker makes solid products, so I decided to give them a try. However, I refuse to compromise sound quality.Sound Quality: Very Good No complaints. Clear, not muddy, definately stereo, resonance, etc. greatComfort: Fine. A tiny bit tight for me, but I have a wide face and lots of hair, so most headphones are unbearable. These are fine.Noise Cancellation: Definately Not fully noise cancelling which is why I gave 4 stars. I can some sound from outside. I wore them to the dentis, and I could hear my dentist speaking to me, but it was muffled. Great thing was, the dentist could not hear my music. I never liked fully noise cancelling headphones anyway, because of emergencies, so this works perfectly for me. I love the “Normal” and “Transparancy” modes, just one tap and I can hear clearly, when I need too. I would definately recommend them. They are as good as my Beats, if not actually a bit better.

Works sooo well
So I bought these 3 days before I was to fly and this is a game changer for me, I absolutely LOVE them, best purchase of 2023 for me, the noise cancelling feature really worked wonders, I kept them on just to nap on my red eye and it was the best sleep I’ve ever gotten on a plane. The battery lasted the 6 hr flight and the 3 hrs in the airport sooo I’d say this is a win win!! I’m pumped for these and will be telling everyone about them. Thank you for making a great product.

Excellent
I am on the spectrum and have sensory processing disorder. I’m extremely sensitive to sounds among other things. Things like the vacuum can not only give me a migraine but can put me into overload and I start to shut down. I love these so much. Everything just sounds softer and my ears stop throbbing. Even how they feel physically on, they’re soft and light and feel very cushioned. The only drawback I can think of is that they’re so soft that they slide off kinda easily. If they could somehow make the headband a little bit more grippy without losing their softness these would be perfect. They pair easily and switch modes quickly and easily. Another quality Anker product that I am very happy with.

Pleasantly Surprised
I love this brand for so many different items but I had no idea they made headphones. I needed a pair so badly but I can’t bring myself to spend crazy money for watching tv. I have great ones for my music since we DJ and all, but I don’t want to use those for tv at night. These sound great and are comfortable even when I doze off to sleep in them. I am so glad I found these and would buy them again without a second thought.

Great headphones with one small flaw
I have Sony noise cancelling headphones and my wife wanted a cheaper pair of noise cancelling headphones for the flights for a trip we recently took. These were well reviewed, and she enjoyed using them.Come the day of the flight, she plugs into the infotainment screen to find that you cannot have ANC active whilst plugged in via the 3.5mm jack, which is a feature I have come to take for granted on my headphones. That is the only flaw we have found so far. If you only plan to use these wirelessly, they are excellent, and the noise cancelling is really good at this price point.

Amazing
I’ve never in my life referred terms like Soundstage, vocals, acoustics or audiophile so I was not looking for those qualities. But holy cow I’m actually blown away by these “cans” as I’ve read people calling them. First of all and most importantly for myself they are super loud, do not believe other reviews that say they sound tiny or small. Bass was also important and there is plenty in any eq setting you choose, but I personally prefer to adjust my own in the app. Lightweight, comfortable and sturdy. I like to take care and not abuse my stuff so im confident they’ll hold up for me. I’ve never owned NC “cans” before so I do not know how well they’re supposed to work but I can say sound does gets in in all the different modes but it’s a tiny bit. Transparency mode also works but sounds robotic. Neither of those functions matter to me. Now I only listen to music with them, I do not use them to watch movies so I can’t comment on that. I highly recommend these if you can spend a little past the super budget category. For some reference I had ordered the jbl tune510s, sent them back, these blow those out of the water. I can only imagine what $300 $400 ones sound like but good thing I’m not an audiophile. Just order these you’ll be glad you did!!

Worth every penny.
These are a tad bit heavy compared to my last set, that I’m replacing them for, BUT the features make up for the weight.1. The noise canceling is fantastic. I was in the ER overnight and needed rest. I threw on my headphones and they allowed me to sleep through the chaos around me.2. The transparency feature. I live in a major city. It’s not safe to walk around and not hear outside noise. The transparency feature allows for you to be able to listen to audio and also hear your surroundings.3. The size of the ear cup is comfortable. I have a smaller head and wear glasses. The ear cup doesn’t give me a headache or hurt my ears when wearing the headphones for extended periods of time.4. Sound adjustments with the app. The downloadable app allows you to change the settings for music and other audio.5. The outer ear “swipe” to switch from transparency to noise cancellation is great. These are a great upper/ mid price range headset.

Very good and variable noise cancellation with integrated app, very good sound
Pros: 1) the app allows the ability to adjust noise cancellation level, 2) the app has equalizer function that you can adjust on the fly or have saved pre-set you can adjust, 3) comfort level is very good w/ cushioned earpads, 4) these are over-ear which provides great noise cancellation, 5) volume adjust buttons on headset good sized and spaced well apart, 6) I find the sound quality to be very good for this price point, 7) great carrying/travel case that allows them to be folded flat and more compact.Cons: 1) the button labeling is both small and hard to see in low light so memorize which they are, 2) the over ear pads could be a bit larger to for better comfort for your ear while inside, 3) lacks “punchiness” on the treble end of the range… hard to explain.Would definitely buy again. Anker just builds good products in my opinion and this ranks up there w/ the chargers and cables I have purchased from the company.

Great except for no ANC on AUX (for airplane in-flight movies)
Ordered these as my the cushions on my Life Q20 have finally worn out after years of regular use. These are a big upgrade from the previous Q20 (USB-C quick charging vs Micro-USB, multi-point connections, EQ settings, comfort) and almost as good as Bose/Sony (especially being over 50% less in price), but the missing ANC when using the AUX cable (like when you’re on a long airplane flight and watching in-flight seat entertainment movies) does not work. I believe ANC over AUX did work at one point in time, but it was removed with a recent Soundcore firmware update so you will need to get a separate aux audio-bluetooth transmitter or go with a better product (Bose/Sony or other).

Awesome headphone
I bought the one in pink and is happy with the shade leaning towards pastel pink. I use the headphones for work and pleasure. For work on zoom calls, no issue with the microphone. Do note I have the jack plugged into my laptop when using this. Audio is crystal clear on both sides. For pleasure, i have the headphones connected via bluetooth to my iphone and wear these when watching shows/movies on my phone. The audio is fine and adjustable. The headphone is comfortable and I’m on the smallest headset adjustment. Battery life seems to be good. I did the initial charge and so far two days in did not need to recharge it.

Love 1) the warm sound, 2) the noise canceling 3) low volume settings 4) no alarming battery alerts
I bought these so I could watch movies on an overseas flight. The noise canceling worked perfectly and I was thrilled with my purchase.Better yet, I LOVE the rich warm sound from these headphones so much so that I cannot listen to music or podcasts on my earbuds anymore.Another feature I enjoy is the low volume settings for going to sleep. I can set a podcast for 30 minutes at a level just loud enough to hear (My earbuds lowest setting is too loud for me to use for going to sleep).Lastly, the alerts on these headphones are at normal volume. My earbuds startle me and jarringly scream “Battery Low!” “Connected!” “Disconnected!”, not these headphones. My Anker Life headphones calmly, in a soft voice, tells me my battery level and lets me know when I switch between Noise Canceling, Normal and Transparency (I use Normal and Transparency when I want to be able to hear people around me in the background as I listen to podcasts and music.Oh, just remembered that these headphones sync with my LG TV easier than other bluetooth devices AND there is no delay between the video and sound (issues I have with my bluetooth speakers). So, yes, I love, love, love these!

Great headphones! The ear cushions on mine weren’t very durable.
The fit, comfort, noise canceling and sound quality of these headphones is wonderful. My only complaint is that the ear cushion covering is not durable and began to split within the first month I had them. I’ve taped them up with electrical tape, which sort of works, but not for long, then I have to do it again.

Worth the extra cash over Q20
I bought both to test comfort and sound quality. Q30 was $20 more, but well worth it in noise cancelling, sound, and comfort. I wear them up to 5 hours at time. After the 5 hr mark, my ears do get sensitive, but give it a break for 30 mins and it’s all good.

Overall, a good budget headphone
To me personally, the sound quality is really good. Do consider that this is the most expensive headset I’ve bought so far. Bass is good too.Noise cancellation is good, but it’s not the best. It blocks noises, but don’t expect it to block everything. The microphone is not that good. The mic picks up background noises very easily, and to the point where my voice gets drowned sometimes. The battery lasts a long time; only need to be charged once or twice a week (less or more depending on how often you use it).Overall, these are good budget headphones, but it’s important to note that the soundcore software and noise cancellation does NOT work if you use an aux cable (I believe other reviews have mentioned this).

Comfortable, Long Battery Life
The headphones are stylish and come with a nice case. They are comfortable and completely cover my ears. The sound quality seems good too. It doesn’t take a long time to charge and has a long battery life. Pairing it by Bluetooth to my phone was easy. Overall a great purchase.

Very comfortable and great sound
I’ve owned several different Soundcore earphones and earbuds and all of them were very good and affordable. I bought these particular headphones to replace the ones I had that I broke. These headphones are actually better. The ear cups are larger so my ears are almost completely enclosed. The sound is great. It connects to my TV quickly and the battery lasts all day. They’re very comfortable and very affordable. I really like these Soundcore products.

Wish they didn’t shut off while charging
I have owned several sets of the Anker headphones over the years and these are the nicest ones I have owned so far. The noise cancelling is very good, they are comfortable, and they have pretty good battery life. A couple things I wish they did better is that they don’t really go into a deep sleep/ standby mode when they are left disconnected. If you don’t manually shut them off, the battery will drain much faster. But by far my biggest complaint with these headphones is that you cannot use them while they are plugged in to charge. They power off when you plug them in and I have not found a way to get them to turn back on until they are unplugged.

Great noise canceling
These are better than I expected. The noise canceling is great, but it doesn’t have super great sound dampening, my clients and corworkers can clearly hear my cat crying in the background. Sound is great. I’m told the mic makes me sound a bit far away, but not terribly so.

Space One’s are better, but Life Q30’s are still great
I bought these Life Q30’s back in January 2021. A part of me really wants them to break so I can buy the newly released budget Space One’s, but I can’t justify it when my Q30’s are still going strong.Sound:I’m no audiofile, but the customization in the app is amazing. I love the sound on the ACOUSTIC preset.Comfort:I’ve worn these for 8 hours at a time at college before and I’ve had no problems. I know some people have gotten sore in some reviews, but I am not one of them.Noise Cancelling:This is the only thing I don’t love. Whenever I turn on the noise cancelling, I usually turn it off quick cuz there’s a lot of pressure put on my ears. I don’t like it.Calls:I use these to call my mom in the union of my college campus. It’s always loud, but these do a good job at blocking out the noise. I always ask my mom if she can hear me, and she always says yes.Transparency:I love the cupping ear mode. It is super handy. The Space Ones also have this mode, but in a different way.Overall these headphones check all of my boxes, but if I was buying headphones right now, I would go for the Space One’s. The extra 20 dollars is still budget in my book, and the Space One’s are a straight upgrade.

I prefer them over the Bose QC35 ii
While I rated everything 5 stars, I want to give some context. I am rating it 5 stars in comparison with the Bose QC35 ii, since that is what I know these headphones are benchmarked against. I own a pair of Bose QC35 ii’s and these Q30s which I have been using for well over a year. I originally bought this pair as a cheap alternative to the Bose, but over time have finally had to admit that I prefer the Q30’s to the QC35 ii. Don’t get me wrong, the QC35 ii’s are a great pair of headphones and do everything well, but ultimately I find the sound quality, comfort, and the charging port to be a little better on the Q30s, and the noise cancelling is a toss up, and I find the transparency of the Q30 better in my environment. Sound is subjective, and so is comfort, but for me, the QC35 ii’s ear cups are just a little bit too narrow, and clip the back of my ear, while the Q30’s allow my entire ear to rest inside without issue. About a week ago I gave my Q35 ii’s to a family member as I realized I just don’t need them, I am completely fine with my Q30’s only. Considering the price difference, if you are torn between the two, save yourself the money and go Q30.

Great so far!
I’m not an audiophile, just someone who enjoys a nice audio quality, so these headphones suit me just great. Audio sounds great. Music and videos sound great. The manual that comes with the package is easy to read, and if you lose that, the accompanying app has a high-resolution document of the manual. I’ve never tried ANC before, so it was a little strange at first, but it works well. Of course, not all outside sound is able to be canceled out, but it’s noticeably quieter after the mode is turned on. I do have to say that sometimes, with ANC turned on, there’s this strange ‘heavy’ feeling, like increased pressure in my ears, and this feeling comes and goes. Though, that may just be my own problem, of course. These headphones feel quite light, not heavy at all. The only problem I’ve encountered for comfort is that the outermost edges of my ears touch the inside foam, and after extended wear (just sitting down, not moving around much at all), can be slightly irritating. So, if you have ears that stick out, this may not be comfortable for you if you wear these for long periods of time. The charging cord is quite short. This isn’t a problem for me, since I have a headphone stand with a USB port built in, but is something to consider. It does not come with a charging block/brick/adaptor, so you’ll need to have a spare USB brick lying around or switch out cords when you need to charge these headphones.I can’t speak on the battery life, just got these yesterday as I’m typing this, but overall, I really like these headphones so far. They’re easy to pair with my phone and tablet, simple to use, and does what I need it to do.

Solid ANC headphones if you don’t need ANC while using AUX
For the price, this is a great set of ANC headphones. They are comfortable, don’t look super cheap, and the battery life is amazing.I got this to use on my frequent long-haul flights, where ANC is a must. The other ANC headphones I have don’t last the entire trip (often 20h+ flying time). What I didn’t realize is that the ANC doesn’t work when using the AUX cord. I like to watch movies and listen to music using the in-flight entertainment system, which I need to plug into. The headphones still work, and you can hear okay, but it’s a bummer that the ANC doesn’t work. I read up on this and it’s not reasonable to expect lower-priced bluetooth-based ANC headphones to do this — that’s why you need to invest in Bose, etc. But I don’t want to buy expensive headphones for travel only, which I also may lose. So I’ve decided to instead to get a Bluetooth transmitter for the in-flight entertainment system (looking at AirFly). (Hopefully won’t lose that, too!)A small detail about the headphones I don’t like is there is no pocket in the side of the carrying case to hold the aux cable or tiny USB-C charger (like Bose has in its headphone case). There is a small black bag that is supposed to hold the cable and charger, but as expected, I lost the bag on my first flight because it’s not secured within the case.I also don’t find the button controls particularly intuitive — I always have to take them off my head and look at them to remember what is where.

A great value for ANC
I previously owned ANC earbuds that fit in the ear from Anker which worked well, but I was having some issues with an in-ear device. I purchased this over-ear headset with the same ANC technology and was amazed with the sound quality and ANC in such relatively low price. A great value headset, and also supports multi-device connection. Just be aware — if you connect to two devices, it will not play simultaneously. It will mute one device when the other one begins making sound, and then switch back when the sound stops. However — this seems to be standard for multi-device as my Bose headset operates in the same way. With all that said, there is some room for improvement:- Compared to similar headphones from Bose, the button controls are less friendly. A power switch is better IMO than a button you hold down for 3 seconds as you can see at a glance if it is switched on or off and quickly toggle as needed.- The large touch surface of the right ear cup allows you to long press for transparency mode. This is nice, but if you ever stretch your arms above your head your bicep will trigger the long press. Slightly annoying.- The case requires you to put the headphones in a very specific folded orientation. There is a nice label inside the case to remind you of this specific yoga pose the headphones need to make in order to fit. If the mirror image would also work it would not be so big a deal, but it is like a classic USB port where you try, then flip, then try again.- I do like that there are physical buttons for volume, adjusting ANC, play/pause. However — they are placed exactly where you would grab when taking on/off the headphones or when adjusting the head strap. You have to train yourself to grab the headphones in a different way to avoid hitting these buttons accidentally.- I have not tried it myself — but I heard that in plugged in mode the ANC does not work. And I heard that it USED to work, but they removed this in a software update. It has not yet affected me as I have never used it in plugged in mode. But not ideal if true.

Great sound and noise cancellation for the price, with a poor fit
The Soundcore Life Q30 headphones are a great value for the money and are absolutely worth purchasing at this price. I’ll start with the good (which far outweigh the cons, especially for the money).THE GOOD:Sound is clear and rich, though it requires some tweaking in the Soundcore app. Changing your EQ settings is a slight annoyance since you need to open the app to do it, but short of having preset buttons or some complicated gesture, the app is the only option Anker has so I’ll let it slide. The noise cancellation is excellent and features three different profiles for different settings: transport (for public transportation and planes), indoor (for office and coffee shop environments) and outdoor (for ambient noise in “quieter city spaces”). I usually keep mine on “transport” mode because it cuts out white noise from fans (a godsend while cooking!) while still letting me hear enough to know if someone is trying to get my attention. The NC settings also allow you to use “normal” mode (no noise cancellation, though it remains pretty quite due to the good seal of the headphones) and “transparent” mode which amplifies outside noise so you can be aware of your surroundings or hold a conversation. As far as the physical hardware goes, the buttons are GREAT: they’re clicky and responsive. I appreciate the lack of reliance on touch-based “clicks” and gestures. There is one touch control I will comment on below. Otherwise, the headphones are pretty comfortable, do not get too hot, and seal well around the ears. The articulating cups move smoothly, though I would have preferred if they could be rotated in both directions. As-is, the headphones only allow you to rotate the cups towards your body when wearing them around your neck. The battery life is fantastic: I’ve only charged them once in over a month of owning them, though it should be noted that I usually use other headphones during my workday. The built-in microphone is quite good based on feedback from people I have had phone calls with. Additionally, the Bluetooth Multipoint connection is extremely handy: it’s allowed me to switch from listening to music on my computer to taking a phone call and switch from using my phone to streaming on an iPad with ease. The bluetooth range is great because I can walk pretty much anywhere in my house while leaving my device behind.THE NOT-SO-GOOD (but still not bad!):My main problem with these headphones is the fit: when you dial them in they’re pretty comfortable, but I have trouble getting them to fit right in the first place. No matter what you do their own weight will cause them to slowly slip which requires you to readjust the headband on a similar basis. I have a pretty big head yet I have almost no need to adjust these from their tightest position. These headphones are also quite prone to slipping if you bend over, so they do not lend themselves well to repetitive tasks which require bending over: working out and doing deadlifts, gardening, etc. While the material on the earcups is plasticky, fake leather, they do not get too hot which is a plus. The headphones have their bulk, but should not be too difficult to travel with especially if you do not mind hanging them from your neck. The fit hanging them from your neck is not the greatest, but it works. The included case is also pretty bulky, but does work to give you piece of mind when throwing these in a backpack or larger bag.I have not yet used these headphones in wired mode, but it should be noted that noise cancellation and EQ do not work in wired mode. Apparently the Q35 headphones address this, but I saw many reviews claiming other features did not work as well as they do on the Q30.My last (minor) gripe is activating “transparent” mode with the right ear cup: transparent mode is very loud. It doesn’t just let sound “pass through”, it actively amplifies outside noise. This can be pretty jarring when you accidentally activate transparent mode through the touch control on the right ear cup, especially because it’s accompanied by a loud voice saying “TRANSPARENT”. The voice announcing what mode you are using is distracting, annoying, and unnecessary. I also wish the touch control was something you held, switching to transparent mode while you are touching the ear cup then going back to noise cancelling when you release, but it is only a toggle. I feel that Anker could have allowed this feature to be tweaked in the Soundcore app, but there is no option to do so.All-in-all, these are great headphones for the $70-80 range and I doubt they can be beat. If you want a pair of over-the-ear headphones for the office or home, it will be hard to find a better value.

Great!
My ears are sensitive to the earplug-style, and would hurt and get infected after constant use. As a pet sitter, I listen to music while doing my tasks (walking, cleaning, etc) & I had a big job coming up; I knew regular earbuds weren’t going to do it. I was hesitant, as I haven’t used headphones since a kid, but I think my body was just ready for something new. Absolutely. Worth. It.I like the change in tone preferences (NC, normal, transparent), how easily it connects to Bluetooth, the feel, the fit.. everything is great! It DOES get sweaty against your head/ears after prolonged use or used doing activity (working out, running, etc.) but you can really tell until you take them off. I rarely use earbuds anymore, and make sure these go everywhere with me. They were NOT lying about the batter power lol. You don’t have to turn it off, but just disconnecting it from BT is enough to power down. I’ve honestly only charged it twice, when I first bought it (end Aug/early Sept.) and right before a long stint out of the house (I didn’t want to pack the extra cords to charge it.) maybe in Mid oct —- even then it wasn’t anywhere close to dead. This is after a roughly daily use of 1-2 hours. It’s almost thanksgiving and it still isn’t anywhere near low battery. Please give this company a chance! If you notoriously have a smaller head, maybe these aren’t for you, but otherwise they’re very adjustable & I’ve had no complaints during calls (or using Siri) while these are on.

Really good for the price
I will admit that I have multiple Soundcore products (Liberty 2 and 3 pro). I got these to replace a set of TaoTronics I gave to my wife. The only reason I wanted to replace those is for the multipoint connection my old ones didn’t have. I got them on a Black Friday deal and have been happy over the 2 weeks I’ve used them with my phone and laptop. It switches devices depending on which one is active reliably, and the sound quality is really good for what I paid. I’m used to the Soundcore app, which I think most people will want to use. The base sound profile is pretty plain and a little muddy. I haven’t been on a plane with these yet, but the noise canceling has been very good (don’t expect Bose NC at this price). Overall I’m very happy with these cans.

High quality, fantastic sound
These are a solid set of headphones, and I was very impressed with the sound quality. I originally tried the Q20+, but found those to be muddy sounding, with cheap chunky plastic comtrols and found the fit too loose on my head. I had no such concerns with these! The sound quality is impressive, with distinct highs, mids that are not overly pronounced, and solid lows. The ANC is wonderful, better than another brand of headphones my wife uses that cost slightly more than these. The app is a nice touch to control EQ functions, the buttons feel solid and high-end, and the fit is comfortable. Highly recommend these!

Awesome for everyday use
Tomorrow will be one year since I ordered these. They’re awesome!A month ago, my boyfriend took me on surprise trip for my birthday. I wanted it to stay a surprise as long as possible, so I had to somehow get through security, the gate, the whole plane ride and landing without hearing where I was going. He had to explain to security, etc., the situation but long story short: it worked. I kept the music turned up and I kept my eyes down during times that would tell me the destination and I didn’t have a clue until close until landing (I recognized the landscape).I use these pretty much every single day. The sound-cancelling only works well if you have something playing and the sound quality is great. I’m not a music sound snob but these headphones are awesome for music, podcasts, and audiobooks. I highly recommend!

Fantastic
I purchased these headphones because they were recommended by a friend. They work amazing for my needs. Usually, I use in-ear earbuds to listen to music/movies while traveling, and was tired of not being able to hear the sound and listening to the background noise of the plane. These did the trick on my overseas flight.1. These are very light while wearing them and did not interfere with my glasses. I detest over-the-ear headphones because they normally make my ears hurt with my glasses. These did not and were very comfortable to wear. While sleeping on the plane, these did not move at all.2. Amazing battery life. I fully charged them before my trip and they lasted through the trip to my destination and back.3. Sound quality. I’m not an expert on the quality of sound, but was very impressed that music/movies did not sound “tinny” at all. I enjoyed listening to the music and watching movies.4. Noise cancelation. These did not completely drown out the sound of the plane but reduced it substantially. In the everyday environment, they work wonders. What I do not like about these:My friend’s pair is an older version and you can tap the right earpiece for NFC, these you have to pair with your phone and tap your phone up to the earpiece and hold for a few seconds. There are times when it doesn’t want to turn on or off. It’s very cumbersome and adds another step to the process of having your phone within easy reach. When I needed to, I just took my headphones off and then put them back on.The headphones fit in the case, but it is cumbersome to get them in and out. I’m sure with practice it will be easier.Overall, these are a fantastic value and I would highly recommend.

Volume
I got these in today, and compared to the cheap skull candies I had before, they are phenomenal!! I really enjoy the touch transition between noise cancellation and transparency mode. At first when I put them on they were not as loud as I was wanting. But with the app the equalizer really enhances the experience and I have them right where I want them. Good quality for the price! Now for the noise cancellation they are good but I know many expensive products out there have better. I knew I was taking a risk with these as they were cheap but for me they are the first noise canceling headphones I’ve purchased and I’m satisfied with that. My only complaint would be they are a little suffocating. You will sweat in these. But overall impressed with the results considering the price

Fantastic, budget ANC Headphones
I used to have, many years ago, Bose headphones that I lost. I recall the ANC being fantastic, what I was in the market for, but I was not going to spend over $300 on headphones. After doing research, especially on headphones people who go to the gym enjoy, these were one of the highest ranked ones. While I can’t be sure how they hold up in the gym, I will test them in the near future, they are AMAZING regardless. The best part, in addition to the ANC, is the Soundcore app. You can customize what the headphones focuses on, for example elevated base, to customize your listening experience. Some may find it annoying to download, but I personally think it is worth it.The ANC, when compared to my old Bose, are great given the price. I could barely hear anything when not even using ANC. The transparency mode is fantastic if you want to pay attention to people talking around you as well. The sound quality, regardless of the mode you are in, is amazing. I don’t even have to go up to half volume on my phone to feel like I’m listening to max volume on my small ear buds (also part of the reason I wanted standard headphones).Regarding fit and quality – I personally don’t have an issue. You get what you pay for regarding quality, but I would say it seems pretty durable/strong. I have no issues with the fit of these headphones. However, that may be due to the size of my head. Again, I can’t make commentary on how they hold up in the gym, but I’m hopeful they won’t slide off/be a nuisance. Even if they don’t work in the gym, they would be great for any other setting like a coffee shop or public transportation. In summary, these Soundcore headphones are amazing ANC headphones at an amazing price. The ANC is good, the battery life is fantastic, and they are comfortable to wear. The sound quality is up there as well with plenty of ways to customize your experience with their app. If you are in the market for good ANC headphones, are a friendly price, GET THESE.Edit: Unfortunately these are not the best for the gym. They are better suited for lounging/not intense movement. They will slide off your head while exercising.

My second pair because I like them so much.
This is my second pair of Q30’s. To be technical my other ones were the SoundCore Life Tune XR from Best Buy. Different purchase place different model numbers. My kid liked the first set so much he took mind so I had to purchase another set.The app is nice to have to be able to set up different listening settings of music or podcasts. The sound clarity is better than what was expected.Has plenty of bass that does not sound like it is going through a paper towel role. The one touch change between the noise cancelling and normal is easy to use.Microphone does good enough to have a conversation outside but not in a crowded street. These were purchased 3 weeks ago and have still not had to charge with 32 hours of play time.I got these during a deal for $55 but would be happy to pay the full price of $79.99.Only downside is that they make my ears sweat after long durations of use or wearing while mowing grass.I would buy again as a present or if I had to replace them.

These are a really fine set of headphones
First and foremost, the sound quality is really fine and can be adjusted to suit your individual tastes via an app downloaded to your phone, laptop or computer.Bluetooth took a couple kicks at the can to connect but, if you go through the progressions, it’ll connect. This set of headphones “passed the ear test” and I’ll be keeping them. I’ve owned 20 or 25 sets over the years and could never quite buy into the concept of “ear buds”.These sound like a considerably more expensive set I owned a few years ago. If these hold up to the normal usage of an old guy who takes care of his “stuff”, I probably won’t need to buy another set. I will however recommend these.

Sound! through the 10-Band Equalizer app, you can make perfect sound for anything on your phone!
bought 2nd pair!!Sound – Youtube and many other music/music videos played on iphone CANNOT be altered due to Apple’s non-existent EQ, or if you only use Apple Music you can slightly change to the preset EQ settings but its not changeable, only what the preset is.Regardless for me personally, I dont use Apple Music, I use Youtube for videos/music videos(& other videos) appx 97% of the time – AND Youtubes horrible compression makes for terrible sound alot of the time, AND, people upload differring quality sounds for videos, and theres a constant adjustment I am making for Documentary style/Voice, Music, Music Videos, Comferences, etc etc throughout my day.Plus I have a lot of music and videos from a personal collection not in the normal genres or readily available, these I import into the VLC App, USB Apps, and others that can store and play my music and various videos, teachings, conferences, etc etc – Again, so many variable quality sounds, and some sounds are good that people do, but I prefer the bass, I also prefer to take out alot of the highs present or extra present with alot of talks and general videos of music etc (especially they seem to be more “highs”[tinny sounds that hurts your ears] in compressed things on youtube and web etc] – So again, I need to constantly adjust, which I can with the SoundCore App that comes with these specific headphones.Honestly, I already owned the Bose QC35II ($400) prior to this, and although i still have them, I use these wayyy cheaper Anker SoundCore, simply because the sound is similar as standard, but because its not possible to have an EQ with BOSEQC35, 35II, or the new 45II unless you are playing something through VLC’s App, you have ZERO adjustability with Bose, none, at all. I am at a loss that they can sell a headphone above $100, let alone $350, and do so without an EQ in their app(And Ived asked many times through their help/support – infact theres a dedicated “reason” in the dropdown for their help section in the Bose App that specifically refers to “Eqalizer”, so it is beyind me theyve trashed their customer base for 6 years+ whilst recognising millions desire it and need it and have spent $200/300/400+ on their headphones and they dont even care!) I would never recommend Bose, never again, until they pay someone in their app department a days wages to create an EQ for their existing App! Sure Bose are definitely more comfortable, for sure, but i am now used to the Anker and stretched them on purpose to make them less tight – and I can do 8-18hours a day with them now easily!Phone calls are way better on the Anker Soundcore QC30 than Bose QC35/35II, because those two models have hiddeous Mic set-up and so people can hear your background louder than you, and their really bad to be on the other end of unless your friend who has them is in a soundproof room!Bluetooth is amazing – it immediately connects to your devices, without any tweaking, and, again, sorry to compare to Bose QC35II, but thats my $400 ones, and the Bose are terrible, every update brings problems for 4/5 updates released, and its not remedied until the next update, and with pairing instantly, think never great for the Bose (my sister/brother in law and my good friend all have Bose QC35 and 35II, so its not just me!)I dont know what elese to say, I came back here because if i was going to buy Bose, and I saw this, Id be so glad to have saved $200-300, and got a wayyyy better set of headphones, and I just cant say enough about how good it is to change the EQ for any and every song or music file or video you play on your device as the SOUNDCORE App is for the whole phone, any app, any file that has sound on it!If they could somewhat steal the comfort design of the Bose and use these theyd be perfect! I am so glad you dont have to be rich to afford something good, and thats why i love Anker, seriously, 95% dont have $200-$700 for a pair of headphones!!!!!!!!!Hope this helps

The best headphones I’ve ever had
These are the perfect headphones if you want quality and a fair price. The reviews aren’t wrong, they’re worth every penny. I’ve had these since March 2023.There are two caveats, however.1. I’m not a fan on the tap to turn on transparency mode. It’s very sensitive, and often times I turn it on without meaning to.2. It’s not water resistant at all, unfortunately. I got caught in a light rain the other day, and I think I might have ruined them; the sound quality isn’t as good as it used to be. 🙁 But that’s my fault, not the headphones. Just don’t get them wet.Over all, if you’re on the fence, just buy them. I don’t think it gets much better than these for less than $100.

Initial Impressions
Just got these delivered and this is my first experience with Anker headphones though I do also have a small portable speaker that has worked great for the price. This headset feels very well built and you can tell just by the general feel of the device- headband, cups, swivel points all feel hefty enough to last, nothing creaky, buttons have good tactile feedback and the controls are very easy to get used to coming from an older Sony model. The included case also feels very nice, I’m glad I got this over the lower model as the case alone is worth the upgrade.Paired via NFC to my Pixel 6 which worked perfectly (Love my Pixel but sometimes the NFC causes fits). Also paired up via BT to my computer which also was a painless operation.Sound- I have only about 2 hours of listening and my current daily is a Senn HD598 so it’s a very different type just because of the closed vs open aspect. Having said that I really didn’t take long to get accustomed to these and while I would never confuse them I thoroughly enjoy them at this point…just different due to design. I would say the Senns has a superior soundstage and they are more comfortable (not as warm sitting on my ears) where the Q30 is actually more comfortable at first it does get warm with the closed / leather cups vs open / velour on the Senn.Noise Cancelling- I am very new to the technology and you can run the headphones in Transparent, Normal and Active NC. I picked these up after trying on a Bose Quitecomfort in Costco and was impressed with it. Is this as effective? Doesn’t seem like it but if you have any reasonable volume playing with NC on I barely hear any traffic which unfortunately is just outside my balcony even with the windows open. Since this is new to me the closest thing I can compare it to is using my Pixel Buds in ear monitors- The Q30 definitely blocks more than those (they do not have active NC just the passive effect of being IEM). It’s enough that I can no longer hear my neighbors kids playing with their VR headset in the stairwell between our units…which is a big reason I decided to retire my Senn for now lol.I haven’t had these long to say how the battery life is or charging times but I used it right out of the box and was playing around with NC on it’s own and then listened to some of my favorite tracks for about an hour and it’s fine. When you power them on the headphones will say its battery level. When I first turned it on it said “medium” and after playing around with it for about 2 hours it’s still at “medium”.

Great ANC feature – audio is biased – app is good but EQ is flawed – voice announcements annoying
My main purpose for having noise-canceling headphones is to blank-out the announcements on the city bus. They’re overly loud, overly long, and overly infantilizing and intrusive to my thoughts. It’s also nice to have the roar of the engine muffled, since I like to sit at the back of the bus. From carrying them daily for a year-and-a-half, my Karman-Hardon Fly NC headphones had become physically ragged, their battery capacity had dwindled, and their sound had lost volume (or so it had seemed). I had to admit that it was time for a new pair of ANC bluetooth cans. From the online research, reading reviews and watching YouTube videos, I figured that these Soundcore headphones would suffice for the ANC, audio quality, and the price. I can’t do $300+ for the good Sony or Bose, and I expect less-than-stellar audio from headphones considerably less expensive. (I also don’t want to pay that much for something that I’m going to run into the ground from everyday usage.) As long as the audio doesn’t insult my ears, it’s worth the mitigated annoyance of loud canned announcements. These Soundcore Q30s are alright. The ANC feature does its job right. The audio is full and with a lot of nuance, but it’s bass-heavy in a weird way. I try to use the custom EQ to flatten the sound, but the sliders on that GUI don’t respond the way that graphic EQ normally responds (I know from audio mixing), so it’s hard to arrive at a relatively-flat audio profile. It would be great if headphone designers, anticipating usage with an app for such a purpose, would design headphones with an unbiased audio profile, rather than trying to appeal to the nightclubbers with extra bass. It will take some more fiddling in order to arrive at an EQ setting that won’t shred my hearing with highs nor pummel it with lows. I listen to a lot of different types of music, and don’t need to be told what preset EQ on the app corresponds with which; they’re all kind of wonky.Lastly, I hate the internal voice announcements. Ironically, one of the reasons why I have ANC headphones is to cancel-out external announcements. There are no stating-the-obvious “power on/power off” announcements, but those for the battery level and for the transparency/noise-canceling toggling are stupid. The voice also gets in the way of what might be important to hear at the moment when it’s announcing “transparency,” which is, again, something ironic. It’s obvious when the transparency and noise canceling are going, but it seems that I just can’t make it through life without annoying and infantilizing announcements being imposed upon me.I gave Noise Canceling five stars; Audio Quality four stars despite its EQ bias; didn’t rate Bass Quality because it’s good but too much.

Great Affordable Product For Every Day Multi-Use
I originally bought these headphones to workout in, endurance runs and sprints. I was extremely surprised how the adjustability fits well and comfortable. You can run in these without them falling off and changing much of the sound quality. They also have a long battery life. I use these at least 3 times a week for studying and 1 hour workouts, and they last nearly a month without being charged – sometimes longer! I feel like I rarely have to charge them. The sound quality is good, however I have different type of Apple products so the comparison isn’t quite there. Overall, I would say buy them if you’re looking for an affordable option to take to the gym, walk around with and do basic listening. If you’re a huge audiophile… then no but I am happy with my purchase and recommend this product.

Just About Perfect
I was upgrading from the SoundCloud Q10 to SoundCloud Q30. The sound, specifically the clarity at higher volume and base is so sharp and good, I was literally shocked. Vastly improved from the Q10, which I love. The noise canceling option on the Q30 is particularly effective. Hard to go back to the Q10 after using the Q30. The one complaint I have is with the instability of the earphones. They are static on the Q10 but movable on the Q30. I do not feel as though they are as strong or will last as long or are as durable as the Q10. I sleep in the from time to time and I just don’t think that the Q30 would handle that well. They MAY be strong but they don’t feel like it. Of course I’ll take good care of them. They just feel more delicate than the Q10. The performance of the Q30, and the known awesome battery life of SoundCloud, are still present.
