As advertised
It’s your standard HDMI monitor that appears to be what it was advertised as.It arrived in a timely manner. After two weeks of use, I haven’t seen a personal issue. No notable dead pixels. The review is my own experience. Your mileage may vary (YMMV).It does have VESA (100x100mm) mount screw points and its own base. Several options and volume controls on the monitor settings.Negatives: The normal base doesn’t tilt. There might be very minor ghosting (5ms response time, found in Q/A section). It could be worse. 😡

Great picture and function, lousy but functional speakers
Basically, the monitor is great, for the money.Setup is easy and the colors pop.Fast response and clean lines.But.The built in speakers *suck*. IF you are depending on them, look elsewhere. But if you only need speakers for “computer sounds like beeps and QUIET background music they are fine. That’s all I need them for and that a why I still rate it high.If you game or stream, I’m sure you have BT or other aux speakers. All in all great screen lousy speakers **** stars anyway!

monitor on a budget
Purchased this monitor as a 3rd screen for the needed space while multi tasking multiple windows. I chose this one based on the 90 something % rgb so I could also use it as my primary photo editing monitor. After hooking it up to my laptop and pulling up calibration tools and reference images on all my other screens including my phone (because thats where the majority of people see my content) I spent over an hour trying to make the monitor look good. No matter what I tried my calibration tools just couldnt get the perfect setting. It was always a compromise between correct color and correct sharpness. No matter what I did, white always had a greyish blue tone to it yet some grey areas have a red tint to it. After first plugging in the monitor I was having some weird refresh flickering that was resolved by changing my monitor from “HD 1080” to “PC 1080” in my nvidia settings. Even though this monitor supports up to 75hz I was getting some weird screen tearing while trying to play games on it although It was worth it anyways because the black point/shadows were super strong, like old tv strong. For anything besides spotify, web browsing, and displaying research while doing school work I will be sticking with my 144hz laptop screen as it does everything this monitor does but better bar a few things (physical screen size, tilt and rotate because its on a monitor stand)

For only $150, this monitor is pretty good
I played some Monster Hunter Rise with this pc, and the picture quality is amazing! I also did a test recording on OBS and usually when I stream or record, on my old 1680×1050 monitor, there would be black bars, and this monitor totally eliminated that issue. The lighting is brighter and it doesn’t make games too bright or too dimmed out, its just perfect! The speaker quality is pretty good for being integrand into the monitor, but if you wanted a louder speaker, then I would definitely go buy a separate pc speaker. Overall this monitor is very good, and it isn’t too big that it will take up space on ya desk 🙂

12V DC input – can be easily used in RV, car or camper!
I don’t know why no one mentions this but this is an ideal monitor for mobile use in a car, rv, trailer, etc.Its input is 12V so you can buy an adapter to power the monitor from a 12v socket, search for: “12 Volt DC Cord to Power TVs with A Cigarette Lighter Socket”. You could also just cut the power cord and connect it into your 12V vehicle wiring. It only uses 30W so no strain on your battery. It has speakers so could be used as a compact tv with a streaming device like a fire stick etc.Pros: really nice picture with the IPS panel and viewable from all angles.Cons: lame stand that doesn’t do any adjustments. I ordered another adjustable monitor stand for $25 that allows multiple adjustments.

It was a gamble but it paid off.
I was skeptical of this brand I know little about it. But reviews seemed favorable and they were on sale for $80 at the time. I bought two and I regret not buying three. These monitors have great color and image quality. No dead pixels. I’m super happy with this purchase.

Great budget monitor
Monitor was purchased for around $100 at prime day. It has solid colors and an above average refresh rate. No noticeable glaring or anything to detract from the quality. My main complaint is the base felt a little lightweight for my taste. I doubt it’ll fall or tip since it sits low, but more stability might be feasible

Good monitor
I have purchased this monitor after a long time and for the price, the monitor exceeded the expcectations. I had slight apprehension on the brand, but given that this model was new and released recently, took the chance. Overall, the screen and piciture quality are very good – after tweaking to my taste. Also, this has a matte finish, hence no reflection, which is good; however, those coming from glossy screens, like me, need to give a day or two to get acclimitated to the screen. I hope this monitor last for years to come like other top brands. Note: The bezel is very thin ( just like the picture above) but there is an additonal thin border when the image is displayed unlike the picture show above. I am not sure if this narrow strip exists with all the monitors or some make/models cover with the bezel. Given the screen quality, color, resolution, sharpnesss, 75 hz, and no reflection, I am fully satisfied for the price.

The screen is awesome!! The stand could be better!
I bought this in the last week of May and it was delivered in a week.I love the screen quality so much that it has become my primary screen instead of my laptop screen. The bezels are super thin and so is the monitor itself. It works perfectly at 75Hz, although I don’t game a whole lot. The controls are good, they could use a better placement or a software control mechanism. The stand is very flimsy. Since the monitor is hoisted on 2 screws on the stand, I am always scared that the stand might just break. I am hoping to get a VESA mount so I don’t have to deal with it lol. I bought a 3-year protection plan just in case. The screen has worked well since then, I’ll update this review if something changes.

Great replacement monitor, but with a catch
The monitor itself is a great upgrade from my previous setup (old TV). I really would not rate it above most monitors available today but it is definitely not an inferior product. I think this would be suitable in many different scenarios from gaming to business settings. The thin (edgeless) design would work well in a multiple screen setup also.My biggest and currently only gripe with this monitor is the print on the top of the box stating: “Save all packaging materials. Warranty VOID if not transported in original packaging.” How does packaging material affect the warranty??? It may be to my advantage to keep the material but I should not be forced to do so for warranty purposes!!!! I can assume all responsibility for properly packing and shipping it back if there were a problem without being forced to repackage it in the original material. For me, tossing the box in the name of decluttering may be worth the risk of a future claim.

Great monitor but dont ship it in a amazon box.
I ordered my first one back in June as my college was continuing to be all online and my internship also moved to work from home unless I need to use certain analysis software. I like this monitor since it covers my needs for extending my workspace from my laptop screen especially with my engineering courses and work. Okay quality when gaming with my switch. Like everyone has mentioned before the speakers suck, so I just use my laptops speakers or wear bluetooth headphones.I ordered a second one and had it shipped in a amazon box but on receiving the item the box was smashed in in one corner of the package. I had a feeling it was okay since the item should be packed in with paper or something. Opened it up and there was one sheet of paper “protecting” the monitor from moving around or getting damaged. I plug it in and in the corners the there was a green color like someone took a green spray can and painted the corners.

Inexpensive, great features, picture quality looks like it cost twice as much
Time will tell how this monitor lasts, thus far I’m very impressed with its clarity, sharpness, and features for the bargain price. I use this with a Dell (E7440 14″) laptop w/Intel HD graphics and have set it to leverage native YbCr @ 75hz 1920×1080 and it looks really good. I’ve been working from home for a few months – and possibly for a while longer – and needed more screen real estate than the ancient 17″ LCD monitor I had. Wow, was this an upgrade. I have a really nice 34″ Dell monitor at work that I might not see again for a while, and this 24″-er does not make me miss that one, which is an older 60hz display on a Dell Optiplex Intel HD desktop. Anyways, it has all the modern features incl blue light shift, night mode, power saving, etc. and has been a pleasure to use. Sceptre was a new brand to me, and I’m glad I took a chance. We’ll see how it performs over time.UPDATE: 4/21 so far so good. No issues to report, pixels all firing. Nice job Sceptre. Still working remotely (mostly) and happy to use this monitor.

Great For The Price
After having an Apple 27 inch Thunderbolt monitor for the last 7 years, I decided to save a ton of money on repairs and getting another top-of-line monitor. Reasons for the choice of a lower end/price monitor like the Sceptre were my Mac Mini is now 10 years old and is more of a storage computer and my newer Mac is a MacBook Air, which allows me to be more mobile being a laptop. So no need for an exceptional monitor, when all I need is good.PROS: Flat screen, HDMI input, Sleep mode, Wake mode.CONS: Horrible menu controls (you get what you pay for), Sleep/Wake mode is terrible at sensing.

Very very good for the price.
I bought this to replace a $300 Samsung that took a crap in one year. I like this monitor better. I turned off the speakers because I have speakers, so that part I am not considering. It is better at everything than the Samsung was. I have held off reviewing this to see how it holds up. 5 months later, it is still very good. I never turn my monitors off and that may or may not contribute to early death. I left my Acer on for 6 years and it never fried and is still working today…It just sucked for gaming.

The refresh rate is not 75Hz
The monitors are nice, I own two of them, the white in one is not as good as the other and TBH that doesn’t bother me that much as I have two of them, and three monitors total. So I would be carful if you only have one, or two and they are both of them, however if you are just looking for an extra monitor to have some lesser important not color accurate stuff this is what I would use. There are definitely not gaming monitors, when it comes to a gaming monitor I would sacrifice 4k for refresh rate. My primary gaming is a 240hz with 1080p. It’s worth the dip to 1080p, however these are not ever the top of 75hz. If you go into your display settings and go to adjust it, you will see 59.9 and 60hz. I can prove I have changed it correctly because my primary will change in the exact same settings. Plus I work in IT, with displays being one of my primary focus. So long story short, its an okay second or third monitor to have at 60hz refresh, and okay color accuracy.

Modern look, decent quality
Pros:Sexy designCheapDual mount would look goodFree screw driverCons:Mediocre displaySpringy standThese cons aren’t real problems in my opinion, just minor annoyances.Explanations:Display-Somewhat of a washed out display. I triple checked to make sure there was no protective film on the screen if that gives you an idea. After messing with the color setting I was able to mitigate the issue, to an extent.Springy stand- this would not be a problem except when typing during video meetings, I notice my video bouncing around.Best feature: The screw driver.Guys, this is a quality screw driver! I’ve been on the hunt for a small, magnetic Phillips head for a few months now and ended up buying this screw driver set with a complicated magnet attachment… then came this screw driver. It’s just a perfect all around screw driver for little pc projects and is really comfortable as well.Overall:I’m not disappointed. Buying a monitor at this price range, you can’t expect exceptional display quality and it’s still 1080p. The bezels are small and the monitor is thin and light, giving it a newer look to your setup.

Very poor quality speakers.
This monitor is an excellent monitor for viewing. Easy on the eyes and does not get hot. The only thing I dislike is the speaker quality. It sounds like laptop speakers. Very “tinny” and weak sound. Would highly recommend getting a sound bar if you want to use it for gaming, video chat, music video or any use that requires good sound quality. I bought 2 of these for a 3 screen setup to add to my existing monitor and did not need to use them for sound but now that my main monitor quit, I need to find another monitor with good speakers. Really wish SCEPTRE took this in consideration when manufacturing the monitors. Overall I would give them 4.5 stars!.

Not a true 24 inch monitor. 23.8 actual screen.
I bought a Sceptre monitor before and it served well. Went with a different and newer model this time. Colors are more vibrant. Sort of let down that it’s not a true 24″. And while it claims sound, it has no speakers. You have to audio out to a headset or speakers. Otherwise a good monitor for the price.

A very good monitor for trading stocks and computer programming!
This monitor is a good improvement from the 24″ Sceptre I had before. I didn’t think the borderless feature would be noticable but it is. It’s also lighter, I weighed it and I got 5.6 LBS, which is even lighter than they mention in the description, possibly because I am not using the stand. I am using the monitor on a multi-monitor stand and the VESA connection works perfectly. The menu’s are simple to navigate, and now I’m considering buying two more to replace my other monitors. I trade stocks up to 12 hours a day and this monitor has had no issues. No dead pixels. I can’t speak for the sound because I have external studio monitors but if people are still trying to get hi fidelity sound from a monitor they’re fooling themselves in my opinion. I do not see a big difference with the 75HZ, I made sure windows has it set for 75hz though, but again I mostly stare at stock charts which is just green and red candles moving up and down, nothing super motion intensive. I am using the HDMI1 port and have had no issues with video. Lastly, As for some rebate being mentioned, all I know is I got 5 off at the time of purchase just like any other Amazon coupon.

works well
Have 4 of these monitors that have been operating for a few months now. They all arrived intact. No bad pixels. Color is vibrant and high resolution looks amazing. Thin bevel on sides and top makes placing two of them side by side easy with minimal gap in picture. Controls are on the back (right hand side) – so if you need access to the buttons to change inputs or volume on a regular basis, this might not be the monitor for you. Sound quality is awful, as it usually is with built in speakers, so I don’t suggest using this feature. I wish it didn’t have speakers. Great monitors when used just as monitors.

Good screen quality. Sound is lacking.
The screen quality is great. Maximum brightness is great for playing darker games. The size is perfect for personal work and moderate gaming.Tried using this with a FireStick. The FireStick cannot control the volume of the monitor (neither can my computer). Volume should be adjusted using the buttons in the back. Volume and sound quality is okay for me. Not the best, but usable. Screen does shake a bit if you touch or try to use the buttons in the back.

Very Sharp – Very Clear images!
I upgraded to this monitor from an Acer 21.5 inch. It was also an HD monitor, but this Sceptre IPS monitor has superior imaging! I am currently connected to my Windows 7-64 computer by VGA connector. Even in VGA, the images are sharp, crisp and clear! I have ordered a graphics card so that I can try this out in an HDMI connection. Perhaps I can edit this review to add my thoughts after this change. I am not a gamer so I have nothing viable to mention on this monitor as a gaming monitor. For graphics, this monitor is the best monitor I have ever used since 1998! This is the first monitor that I find I can use at 1920 x 1080 comfortably. In the past I could only comfortably read a1600x900 screen! This one is so clear! It is definately Awesome (Brilliant)!

‘WORKS FINE—NO PROBLEMS
This is no technical review The monitor replaces one that died—of old age, I guess. It produces a hi-def image with very saturated colors. My accounting software’s text and numerals appear as sharp as can be. There are provisions to adjust image colors, etc, but I found the monitor worked very well for my purposes right out of the box.

Ecellent Value
I always liked Sceptre products. They are a very good quality and are remarkably affordable. The picture refresh rate is incredible. Playing games on this will work and will work fine however for high refresh games such as COD and Starfield the latency is a bit too much. However for a third, fourth or second monitor for work you really cannot find a better product at this price point. I have several Sceptre monitors and every one of them have outlasted the other higher priced manufacturers. I will always support Sceptre. and will forever recommend any of there products.

Great Display, but Lacks Tilt Functionality
The Sceptre IPS 24-Inch Business Computer Monitor offers a fantastic display quality that’s perfect for work-related tasks. Its crisp visuals and vibrant colors make for an immersive viewing experience, whether you’re editing documents, designing graphics, or simply browsing the web.The IPS panel provides excellent color accuracy and wide viewing angles, ensuring that your work looks consistent from any position. This is especially crucial for collaborative projects or presentations where multiple people need to view the screen simultaneously. The monitor’s slim bezels add a modern touch to any workstation, providing a clean and sleek look. The build quality feels solid, and the monitor is easy to set up straight out of the box. The controls are intuitive and responsive, allowing for quick adjustments. However, the notable downside is the absence of a tilt function. This can be a major drawback for users who prefer to adjust their monitor’s angle for ergonomic comfort. Without this feature, prolonged use may lead to discomfort or strain, particularly for those who are prone to neck or back issues. On the connectivity front, the Sceptre IPS monitor offers a range of ports, including HDMI and DisplayPort, ensuring compatibility with various devices. Additionally, the built-in speakers provide decent audio quality for basic use, though serious audiophiles may still prefer external speakers or headphones. In summary, the Sceptre IPS 24-Inch Business Computer Monitor excels in display quality and aesthetics, making it a solid choice for productivity-focused tasks. However, the lack of tilt functionality may pose an issue for users sensitive to ergonomic concerns. If you’re willing to invest in a separate stand or mount to address this, the monitor is definitely worth considering. Also, when I turn it off, I never know if it’s off or not. A red light stays on.

I received a returned item from another buyer
I received this monitor very quickly from Amazon prime day sale. The box appeared to have been previously opened and retaped before I ever opened it but I said what the heck let’s see what’s going on here. When I opened the box a purchase receipt from April for this exact item was inside the flap. That led me down the road of wondering why it was returned and I assumed I would find a problem with the screen picture. I carefully unpackaged the monitor being careful to save all of the appropriate packaging in case I needed to return it myself. Upon hooking the HDMI cord to my laptop I was pleasantly surprised to find that this monitor works perfectly and will suffice for what I need which is not gaming. I went back and read the description of the listing I purchased and I cannot find anywhere that it states this is a refurbished or returned item. I am going to keep it. Not that I am against a refurbished item but it should have been disclosed upfront that’s what I would be receiving.

My 3rd Sceptre and no issues.
I bought two of these, two years ago, but in 27″ and they are running like champs. I bought this 24″ as a vertical display and so far it work great. I just wish the screw holes for the VESA mount were centered in the back and not centered towards the bottom. It makes my stand shift to the left. Aside from that, great product.

Very nice monitor
My kids both play video games, and want the super fast OLED monitor, with all the bells and whistles. I don’t even know what the bells and whistles are these days. I needed a decent monitor for a computer I recently got. I am not going to be playing much more than solitaire, it is mostly for work. So when I saw this one, I thought it was perfect. It has exactly what I need, a pretty big, crisp, clear monitor. Super easy to hook up, power plug and HDMI plug. Also has ports for a VGA line, speakers or headphones. It does have speakers, they are small, not wonderful sound, but OK. Again, for me, they are great.Best thing was that I plugged my laptop into the monitor to try it out, and boom, came right up, everything just the way it was supposed to be. If you are really into gaming, or want great sound quality, or some super fast refresh rate, you will find a monitor that meet those needs. If you are like me, want a decent monitor, but will not be doing much, if any, gaming and just looking for a decent, reasonably priced monitor for work or home, this will work great for you.

Screen quality is great for the price, but audio output has issues
I bought two of these for a dual-monitor setup and have been overall happy with the monitors. The monitors are light weight with a thin border around the screen and the picture quality is great. I installed them on a dual monitor stand that I bought separately so I’m not using the monitor’s original stands and I can report the monitors attach to the VESA mount stand without issues.I was originally planning to plug my speakers in the audio output on one of the monitors to keep the wires on my desk hidden but I ended up abandoning using any audio through these monitors. The audio output on both of my monitors has a ground loop hum so it’s unbearable unless I use a ground loop isolator to fix the audio. Even with the isolator added the sound volume is really low so I plugged the speakers into my docking station instead. I’ve been able to test using audio output through my Dell monitor instead and it works properly, and I’ve tested these monitors with a few different computers and see the same behavior on them all. Also, as other commenters mention the audio quality and volume of the monitor’s built-in speakers is pretty low. If you only used it to listen to voicemails in a really quiet environment they’d probably work fine, but I wouldn’t otherwise recommend using the audio functions on this monitor.

Good Monitor for General Use
Using the monitor for office work and watching videos so gaming is not considered in this review.Pros• Image quality. Clean and bright image and in general, images look crisp and videos are smooth.• Ports. Includes HDMI x2, VGA x1, 3.5mm audio in x1, 3.5mm audio out x1.• Thin profile and bezel.Cons• Non standard power attachment. Uses a mini brick which of course lends to the pro of a thin profile.• Stand has a fixed height and feels flimsy.• Audio is okay at best. On videos where audio is mic’d, full volume is muddled. Half volume isn’t the easiest to understand. At 75, audio is okay. Recommend external speakers from PC/laptop.If you need an FHD monitor for extra desktop space or even for general use, this is a monitor that is well priced with a good image quality and will suit the purpose. Don’t expect a lot of features like HDR, FreeSync, G-Sync or display port as this monitor wasn’t made for that crowd. That said, the 75Hz refresh is a nice addition for video playback. If you need to adjust the height, you will need an arm or additional monitor stand as there is no height adjustment. The price at the time of purchase was perfect, only a few dollars more than a similar, but smaller monitor purchased a year earlier.Overall, good monitor for general use!

Great monitor / lousy speakers
Got this on sale and it was nicely packaged with plenty of documentation. The picture is fantastic and I like that it is very lightweight.Unfortunately, the speakers are laughably bad. They are weak and sound MUCH worse than my laptop speakers. However, I assume most of you already have a decent sound system, so this may be a non-factor.

Speakers are terrible
I was excited to open the box and get this set up based on the reviews for picture quality. I will use it as a second monitor for work. I had the Teams app loaded up on it and when someone pinged me, I could barely hear it. Had the volume all the way up to 100! Since I don’t want to buy speakers for it, I’m now looking for another monitor with better sound quality.

A little disappointing.
I’m disappointed in this monitor based on poor verbage in the description.I thought this monitor had BUILT in speakers and it doesn’t. The description says BUILD in speakers. I feel this description is misleading.I recently purchased the 27″ 4k monitor also and that one has built in speakers. So rather than return the 2 i bought with no speakers i will live with the added clutter of external speakers.Other than the speaker issue its a good quality monitor at a good price.

For the price you can’t go wrong!
I’ve had this monitor for a couple months. I use it for my Nintendo switch and as a secondary display for my PC setup. 75hz is a nice touch, and the speakers are not horrible for the price. If you need a second display at 1080p, this is a great pick! IPS panel has good viewing angles as well!

Great monitor, poor sound quality.
Very good image and performance. The sound is very poor. You definitely need speakers for your sound and not just for gaming. If you plan to use this monitor in any way, you must have speakers. The sound quality is so low and poor and broken, it makes it hard to watch videos or listen to anything at all.

great monitor
We use these for business, not gaming or other things. They work great! really nice picture quality, better than some other well knows brands. Multiple connectors in the back. Really nice monitors and a great price. I will continue to buy

Inaccurate size. Screen is 23.8 inches not 24.
I have two monitors as you can see in the picture provided. They are different. I couldn’t purchase a second monitor matching what I had as they weren’t in stock, but this was on sale and seemed like a good deal. Same specs, I’m overall happy with the purchase but it’s not a perfect match on my set up. Especially with the borderless look. Stand-alone this is perfect. Just not a perfect match for a 24” monitor.

So far so good!
Just received them a few days ago with limited use so far. 2 of the same monitor mounted to a dual stand for a very clean look. I am not gaming or watching videos. These are for work use for email, Excel, company CRM software, etc, none of which push the boundaries of the monitor’s limitations. For basic home office work; price – check, quality so far – check, clean looking – check check.

EXCELLENT picture quality. I just wish it had more height & tilt adjustment options.
I instantly took to this slick ‘lil Sceptre. Thin frame saves space, image output offers stellar quality, solid built-in speakers, and it’s great for widescreen viewing. I use it as a 2nd monitor for remote work mostly, and it has benefited my workflow and productivity immensely. If I could I’d give it 4.5 stars, only due to the fact that I can’t easily make the kind of height and tilt adjustments I tend to use to better suit my height & posture. I consider that as more of a missing bonus, rather than a requirement however, and would not drop its rating over that. There are no shortage of PC monitors for sale here, and I don’t know what will work best for your setup. However, if your priority is a decent-sized, high quality screen for a very reasonable price point, then this Sceptre delivers and then some.
