Nice monitor
Overall good monitor for the price.Nice frame rate and picture quality. A little tricky if you’re going to max out fps. I would suggest reading the docs as setting this up is tricky. My suggestion would be to go with one of the presets. That way the picture won’t be too dark or to bright.if you know what you’re doing then this is a good monitor for gaming

Sceptre is an established company with excellent price.
Component parts were very well packaged. Screwdriver I needed for setup was included. HDMII cable was included. Compatible with my existing older computer.Good color. Sharp images. I use it for business not gaming, mostly spreadsheets.

Great monitor, but the speakers included suck.
I ordered this monitor a little while back. The quality is great works exactly how you would want. The picture quality is unmatched for the price point unfortunately the included speakers with it are completely horrible. When I say bad, I mean almost unusable I probably would have better audio from a 2010 iPod. It does come with a aux port and luckily I had a speaker lying around to plug into and that works great. For the price I would suggest it for a gaming monitor but if you are buying it because it includes speakers I would look elsewhere or invest in a nice auxiliary speaker setup.

Review Re-Do: Sceptre is AWESOME!!!
I purchased 2 monitors. The screens are gloriously larger than expected, the colors are vivid, and the curves just enough to make excellent immersive viewing when placed side-by-side. The only negative is that they both didn’t come with the mounting brackets that are clearly mentioned in the product manual. Without these brackets, it’s impossible to mount them to either wall mounts or desk mounts. Very disappointing. I messaged the vendor, so we’ll see how they respond.‐—————Sceptre’s customer service is simply AWESOME!!! Surprisingly, in just a few days after contacting Sceptre, I received in the mail two mounting brackets. Sceptre was so attentive and responsive to my request that I’m totally sold on them. I’ve always believed that exceptional customer service is so rare that when you find a company that has it, latch on and stick with them…and Sceptre has convinced me that they have it!

A tremendous experience upgrading to this monitor
I just unboxed my Sceptre monitor today. The box was easy to unpack. Sceptre even supplies an HDMI cord and a handy tiny Phillips screwdriver. There’s a little bit of problem applying the screws that hold the neck of the stand to the receptacle on the back of the screen. Just follow the directions without fail and you’ll be fine. It feels loose precisely because it is; this is the mechanism that tilts the screen forward and backward. As you can see in the picture, I have the Sceptre on my messy desk. The blue item under the right side of the screen is my 2019 MacBook Air. I have an adapter that switches from HDMI to USB-C, so the MacBook powers the screen just fine. The look of the screen is positively awesome! I have a Bluetooth Apple keyboard and a Bluetooth trackpad on the keyboard drawer in my desk. This works really well. Finally, about sound: I had to go into the MacBook’s sound output settings — it’s harder to find this than it used to be — to switch the sound output from my MacBook to the Sceptre speakers which, so far, are adequate for me. I am very happy with my purchase and with the value received for the price.

First impression: very good
This monitor just arrived (I am looking at it now writing this review) so I can’t speak to its long-term quality/durability. That being said, I am very impressed right off the bat. I wasn’t really sure what to expect with it being curved, but frankly the curve is not extreme. In a good way. I would say it adds a small amount to the viewing angle and overall aesthetic of the monitor, which is perfect. Too much curve makes it annoying and less usable, this one has just enough to actually offer something of value and not just a gimmick.Picture quality is quite good. This is replacing a 10ish year old Samsung 24″ monitor that was insanely good quality back in its time, and I was surprised how much better the quality actually is. I don’t use it for anything too intense, just work stuff and watching some videos and movies, but it performs very well for that. The aesthetics and build quality are great for a monitor at this price point. I was surprised to find the neck of the monitor’s mount is actual metal rather than silver-painted plastic. It includes some cable-grabber things (designed to, I imagine, lead cables from the back of the monitor down to where they plug in) that don’t seem to really be useful at all, and the instructions barely mention them. For me, that’s not really a huge deal. If you’re concerned about tidying cables, some 5 cent zip ties will work much better anyway. I was also pleasantly surprised by the “edgeless” design. It definitely has edges, the screen does not go all the way to the end, however the edges are small and nicely beveled, which gives it a very modern and high-tech look. Though, the screen is flush with the edges, so if that’s what they mean…. then, well, it is. At any rate, it seems to be a very nice design that looks great. It also includes a little screwdriver to install the massive number of screws it comes with…. 3. I’m sure the little screwdriver cost very little to manufacture, but it seems wasteful to me. Who doesn’t have a standard phillips head screwdriver? And what are you going to do with this little cheapy screwdriver after you’ve used it for all of 3 screws (if even that, I’m sure most people will use their own anyway)? Throw it away. Seems wasteful to include it. Not really a knock on the monitor I guess, just a comment to the manufacturer.Overall, if you want a monitor that looks sleek and modern, has solid picture quality, and you’re willing to spend a bit extra but don’t want to go crazy, this is a great choice.

Great quality for the price
This thing has a beautiful, vivid screen and great picture quality. I don’t play graphic- intensive games so I can’t speak too much on the frame rate, and the built in speakers are pretty low quality – that being said, I bought a monitor, not a t.v., and the frame rate for 1080+ video is great. Again, for the price, Sceptre is a hard brand to beat.

The perfect additional monitor’
This Sceptre 27 inch monitor is completely outstanding. After researching Amazon for several hours and checking many, many customer reviews, I chose this one, and so happy I did. The set up was less than five minutes. No picture adjustments were necessary, But I like a little darker screen and made the one adjustment. Lots of chatter about the built in speakers. It is not the Philharmonic, but I find them just fine and as good as any PC/LT speakers. The sound is acceptable. Comes with HDMI cable, and a very nice instruction booklet. The controls are located on the bottom right side in the back and very easy to use while making any necessary adjustments. The price is right, and I highly recommend this monitor’.. It is a pleasure when you receive an item that exactly works the way it is described’.. My primary use is for photo editing. It’s also great for every day general use as well’…

Good Monitors, I overall think SCEPTRE monitors are good value, but check for marks
I noticed this mark when I first turned on my monitor, but told myself its small is it really that big of a deal. and its not when I’m not looking there. But it is very much in the middle of my monitor and after getting some good use, I’d really wish it was like the other one (because I bought two). I will sometimes mistake it as something when looking at data, or reading some text. So I think solid values for monitors but encourage everyone to do an inspection and think hard about if they can live with it.

Pulsating Blue Dot !
Does anyone remember walking around at grandma’s house and there were NO little lights on? Nothing beeped, squeaked, or pulsated? If Sceptre can program the front LED blue indicator light to NOT blink when the monitor is connected THEN it should PROGRAM it to SHUTOFF.How about? NO LIGHT, NO COLOR – think space! The light is WICKED bright and blinks night long.<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>blink>>>>>>>>>>>>>>blink>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>blink>>>>>>>>>>>I get up to program at 330 am and meditate while the world is quiet. It’s 3:53 AM and I am writing this review. It used to be quite, DARK,PITCH black. Now I am haunted by the SCEPTRE light saber. At least Ben’s was red and shimmery. This blue pulsating nightmare is European Disco so crank the techno and get thumping…I am not a fan of yank and crank reviews. I rely on amazon reviews to make high quality, informed decisions. I had a super SCEPTRE at work, like $400-600. I bought this one after a lot of research and need a curved screen for programming. It is inadequate for text.Purchase greater than 1920 x1080 pixels if working with text or dont even bother. Go get one at the dump or on craigslist.SCEPTRE programmers should get their head out of disco mode and turn their stuff off light grandma’s house. ~for those who stuck around thank you for time and hope this is helpful! best bbz

Not bad for the price
Purchased this monitor for my son who wanted something for gaming. Defiantly wasn’t expecting for a “pro” gamer but not monitor isn’t bad for novice gamer. My two complaints are the power button and power light. The power button is inconveniently located in back along with all the other setting buttons. Push the wrong button while locating the power switch and you can go into settings mode. The power light appears to always remain on too; red when the monitor is off, green when on. In a dark room at night the light is a annoying beacon. Easy fix with some black electrical tape but annoying never the less. Again, overall not a bad monitor for the price – especially so when it goes on sale.

Great buy for at home office
I got this monitor to hook up to my laptop for work. It’s so lightweight, easy to assemble the stand, and even has sound. I’m not using it for anything like gaming so can’t comment there. The power line falls a little bit short to me and I wish the buttons were on the front vs the back. Overall, I wouldn’t knock it down in points and really enjoy.

A nice product – I starting to like the “curve”
I never used a “curved” monitor and was uncertain how it compared to the flat ones. At first, I remained unsure, but after a few days the image on the curved one started to feel like it was “wrapping around” or embracing me, like a baseball glove embraces a ball. This is odd, but with time I may start to like curved monitors more than flat ones. The monitor speaker was nothing special in terms of sound quality so I hooked up external speakers to improve the sound. The monitor image is fine which is really what it’s all about to me. Recommended product.

If you are looking to try a curved monitor, this would be the one to try first
I wanted to try a curved monitor but didn’t want to break the bank in the process.I gave this one a go and so far, I am impressed. Now, if you want sound, choose a different one, this is pretty poor quality, I do like it and will consider getting another one for my 4 screen array.

Decent Value
It has some decent reviews on Amazon and it seems to be very popular product. As I have a 24″ curved monitor. It just did not have the viewing area I needed although it works very well. I looked at several 27’s and 32’s. A 32″ was a bit big for my desktop and the 27″ I thought might fill the bill. I looked at several in the same basic price range. there were a few refurb’s for a very good price but I wanted a new one. I found the sceptre C27 curved for $99.00 new on sale. I read a lot of the reviews, likes and dislikes and most were very positive. So I purchased one. It arrived today and after unboxing it. the mounting the stand very easy and the monitor setup (read the manual) is a breeze. I’d much rather have the monitor controls on the front of the monitor as I do not like reaching around the back of the monitor to adjust the screen settings. the rear facing built in speakers. I never enabled them so I have no idea how they sound Overall I’m pleased with the C27. A very good price for a 27″ 1080p monitor. I do play a few games and so far its done well. Looking for a decently priced 27″ monitor? I do not think you could go wrong with one of these.

Inconsistent quality
I bought four of these for use in construction trailers. One had a few bad pixels in the top right hand corner. Not enough to bother me. Another one had a washed out look on the factory color settings and the other three looked pretty good. After a lot of adjustment the one that looked washed out finally looked similar to the others. The specs aren’t there for gaming and I definitely would not use them for gaming but fine for business use, especially in a dusty environment where they only have to last for about two years until the construction job is done. They were priced at $95 at the time and went back up in price after I bought them so I couldn’t beat the value.

Great monitor for the price.
I was in the market for a monitor to pair with my laptop, and I initially contemplated between purchasing two flat monitors or opting for a single curved monitor. It’s a great curved monitor, and is serving me well for my school/work purposes. However, I will say that the speakers are very weak. An amazing monitor!
Like many, I was hesitant to purchase this! I decided a few days ago that I wanted to buy a 27″ monitor and a curved screen seemed cool, so I went for a ‘renewed’ (huge mistake) Samsung curved screen 27″ monitor. When I opened the box, I was dismayed to see that some of the materials were either missing or out of the bag. The stand was fairly easy to assemble, and soon I had the unit attached to my Mac Pro Tower system running OS X Mojave. From the get-go the experience went down-hill, as the picture just wasn’t that bright or sharp. After calibration, it only looked a little better, but I could live with it. But then I noticed the elephant in the room! There was a nasty light-leak coming in at the bottom corner of the right side of the screen. In fact it looked more like a damaged panel than a light-leak. So now I’m angry and I call Amazon who, after talking to two reps, refunded my money to a gift-card, where after receiving (2 hours) I immediately started looking into another monitor. I couldn’t really afford anything over $200.00, so the Spectre caught my eye. Although the reviews were mostly great on Amazon, I also saw some glowing reviews on some high-tech websites, so the 27″ Spectre was ordered and it arrived about two hours ago. This is my experience:1. Amazon had it double-boxed and carefully packed. (The Samsung was NOT double-boxed)2. The monitor sits inside its own colorful box, also carefully packed.3. Accessories include labeled packages of screws, power-brick and cable + HDMI cable and Booklet.4. There is also a cool magnetic screw-driver and cable management attachments. (Very nice!)5. It took less than three minutes to get everything attached. Unlike some reviewers, I found the stand easy to attach.6. The protective film was easy to peel off.7. Build quality is excellent, and this does not feel or look cheap.8. The inputs are simple: VGA, HDMI and Power-Plug.9. Hooked it up to my Mac and the picture came on without a hitch.10. Happily there were no pixels burnt out and no light-leaks or bleeds whatsoever.11. The picture looked good, but not especially bright.12. Once I figured out how to navigate the big configuration menu and make some adjustments, the monitor came alive with a sharp, bright and crisp display.13. Text looks good; MUCH better than the Samsung did.14. Others have complained that is not an edgeless display panel. I find that issue to not be an issue at al, as it is very close to that reality. The rim is very small; barely noticeable … not to me anyway!Final Thoughts: This is a wonderful monitor and Sceptre did it right! I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I sure hope that over the next several months, I remain a happy camper!

Possessed Monitor Out of the Box; but OK Now
Monitor performance once I got to work is fine. Not a superb monitor from a quality perspective, but I think it offers a great value for the price you pay. I am not a gamer or a programmer, but I do stare at the monitor 10-11 hours a day for my job, so having a large screen helps. Having a slight curves monitor also adds a nice aesthetic to the office. The picture quality and the crispness of the fonts are fine for office work, and I have no complaints.Right out of the box, the monitor failed to work properly. As soon as I booted up my work laptop and logged in to the network, a screeching sound (like a high pitch squealing noise at different tones) and a random popping noise came through the monitor speaker as the screen went blank. The on/off buttons in the back failed to respond, and I ended up unplugging the monitor from the power and disconnected the HDMI cable. I plugged back in the cable after a few minutes and tried again, and this time instead of the screeching sound and the popping noise, the monitor started switching color swatches – red to green to blue to white to black and repeat. Once again, none of the buttons worked, so I had to unplug the power and the HDMI. I tested the HDMI cable, and it works fine. I tried again, and this time, it worked. I was able to set up the monitor as desired, and I had no issues. I am not sure what happened at the start, but the monitor is now functioning as expected.

Amazon specs are wrong
According to Amazon the specs are 15.9″ high by 19.93″ wide. Thats wrong, actually the monitor is 14 1/2″ in. high by 24 1/2″ wide give or take without the stand. With the stand it’s roughly 17 3/8″ high. Just got it today and I’m impressed. If you want to find out just how good your picture is just do a search for a solid pink or blue screen video and expand it to full screen. Any backlight bleed or dead pixels will show up real easy for you to see. The pictures I posted were taken with my camera from some of my favorite games they’re not screen shots so the color may be off by a hair. Yes the speaker audio is not all that great but it has a headphone output so you can plug it into another speaker and it works best if you use a speaker with it’s own volume control like a mini Soundbar or headphones with they’re own volume control. This monitor is also easier on the eyes even if you’re just reading Emails, and gaming on this monitor blows me away compared to a flat screen monitor. Yes I would recommend this monitor, so far so good

Clear picture but unreliable connection
I have had this screen for less than a year – it is very clear but one of its weaknesses is a tendency to disconnect from my macbook in a way that no other screen does. Every 10 minutes or so, it will go blank and restart its connection (as if someone had removed and reconnected the cable). It’s very frustrating.

Impressive display, but audio falls short
The media could not be loaded.
I have mixed feelings about this monitor. Let’s start with the positives – the display is absolutely stunning. The curved design adds a sense of immersion to my viewing experience, and the FHD resolution delivers sharp and vibrant visuals. The edge-less metal black design is sleek and modern, complementing my gaming space perfectly. However, one aspect that left me slightly disappointed was the audio quality. The built-in speakers didn’t quite meet my expectations. While they’re convenient for basic tasks, the sound lacks depth and richness. If you’re someone who appreciates good audio, you might want to consider external speakers or headphones to truly enjoy your content.Other than that, it’s amazing for playing video games with! I personally enjoy it :).

Was using 2 of these as work monitor as it’s keeps everything I have to monitor more focused to me.While working on a old Crusin Exotic board I needed to test video but we didn’t have a working CRT that would display properly.Popped one of these on with a simple conversion board, changed nothing else and it displays it perfectly. See video, as I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do.

Decent monitor.
I ordered this monitor because of a great sale price at the time and to have as an extra spare monitor. It was well packaged and very easy to set up, with an overall good picture quality. However, there was a gray vertical shadow on the right side of the screen, which could not be corrected. It was evident more when the background is white/light. There was a visible light from the lower edge of the frame and seemed to be a defect where there was a small gap, allowing the light to reflect and cause that shadow. The number listed for Sceptre was of no use. I returned it and the new replacement I received did not have that issue. This is the reason for removing one star. This was my first curved monitor and first experience with Sceptre. I suspect the first monitor had a defect in the manufacture causing that gap in the frame, which leads me to believe Quality control is suboptimal. The monitor itself is fairly light and does not seem very sturdy, but as long as it is on an even desk it should not be a major issue. Having 2 HDMI inputs and an included HDMI cable is a plus. There is a VGA, but no DVI input. I personally cannot tell a difference in the picture quality between this curved and a conventional flat monitor. I am not particularly fond of the control buttons being on the back and would have preferred a more standard bottom, top, or side position. The built-in speakers/sound quality is not great (‘Meh!’ to OK at best), but I was not expecting it to be good, like most monitors with built in speakers. If sound is very important in your daily computer use, you would likely have free standing speakers anyway. Considering it is a 27″ curved (whatever curved means to you) monitor with good picture clarity, for just under $100, I have no complaint. If the price was significantly higher, I would have passed on it. Time will tell as to durability. Thank you.

Love it!
It is just perfect for my needs.I use it as an extra monitor for my MacBook Pro and Apple TV. I like the fact that it automatically detects what device I have on automatically. Although this doesn’t work if you have both devices, for this you would need to manually select. But I since I am using one or the other, I don’t have this problem.Very beautiful display. I am extremely happy with it!This is the second Sceptre product I’ve owned, I just love their products and service.Thank you Sceptre!

Good Monitor
Have had this monitor for over 3 years and have been really happy with it. But a week or so ago, these lines appeared at tye bottom of the screen. While I can work around it, it’s a bit disappointing. Not sure the life expectancy of monitors these days.

For less than $100, not bad.
Washed out colors, but it’s a cheap monitor. Easy to assemble, better-than-expected quality, and works as expected.

Works great
When our old monitor suddenly dropped its brightness, this was on sale, so we got it. It turns out we really like the curved screen and the picture is very sharp. It was a true plug and play and works well.

Nice monitor
This monitor is clean, crisp and bright colors. Everything I was looking for at a great price.
