BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS
I am in the process of returning my second Samsung Galaxy A51 Phone. I have seen all my issues mentioned in negative reviews.First phone: Ordered a A51 5G and paid over $300. It was Advertized as unlocked. This PHONE WOULD NOT CONNECT (LOCKED) with my carrier. After alot of wasted time and effort I had to return the phone. Also had to pay some shipping cost. But hey stuff happens so tried again.Second phone: Again Ordered a A51 5G advertized as unlocked. This time the phone had a great sale price $249. The darndest thing was it would not fit in my 5G phone case. Of course, for the low price, come to find out they pulled the BAIT AND SWITCH. I checked the model number in Settings and the PHONE IS A515U – 4G INSTEAD OF A516U – 5G. Contacted the shipper but I decided to avoid the hassle and just move on with the phone. Three weeks later THE PHONE WILL NOT TURN ON OR CHARGE. I have just returned that phone as well. Now I have A51 4G and 5G phone cases but I refuse to be burned again. WTH is going on AMAZON? You guys need to regulate these distributors!

Works well still
The phone was like new and has worked good for almost 2 years. Of course the battery life is a little short, but not bad. I will buy refurbished always I suppose unless I hit the lottery.

Not support for AT&T network
The one I received was a T-mobile one but looks like unlocked. The phone itself works good, but does not work for AT&T network. However, after some research, it seems that it is stupid AT&T’s fault for not accepting non-AT&T band unlocked phones, not seller’s fault or the phone’s problem.

Battery on renewed phones are garbage
The phone overall works great, but the biggest issues with phones are the charging port and the battery. I’ve only had this phone for about 5 months now and I have to charge it in the middle of the day otherwise it runs out of juice. I don’t play mobile games and I don’t use it much, so this is extremely disappointing. In addition, the charging port is very loose and requires the phone to be at the perfect angle to charge. I would have hoped that these issues would have been dealt with before they resold the phone since it’s supposedly ‘renewed’, but I guess I’m mistaken.

Nice Phone, Good Price
Having read the reviews, I was hesitant to buy an Amazon recycled phone, but my experience flawless. It was easy to transfer my sim card (thanks for the little metal tool), and the phone started up on the first try. The Samsung A51 phone got good reviews when it came out, and it’s 5G so it should be good for a while. Buying recycled means I saved a lot of money. Thanks!

From S9+ to A51
Great phone. I put the (Cricket) SIM card and it worked right away. Very impressed with this phone. From performance to looks, it does the job very well. My only minor concern is that the fingerprint reader doesn’t work as good as I would like it to. It works on the first try about 90% of the time. I had an S9+ that stopped charging and opted for this one. It’s right up there with my previous phone. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Overall an amazing phone! The camera is stellar and it runs fast
I’ve had the phone for around a month now. I usually buy midrange phone from the store and call it a day. This time, I wanted a decent camera for all the pictures I take while out hiking or seeing family and friends. Capture the memories, you know? So anyway, here are my pros and cons.PROS:Phone speedCamera qualityScreen sizeSimple set-upCons:Sometimes the fingerprint scanner can be testyOn the rare occasion it has a hard time finding a network connection. One thing to note when I first got the phone, taking into consideration how it’s an unlocked former AT&T phone and I have t-mobile, it was difficult getting it to find any network at all. I had to find a troubleshooting guide off of t-mobile’s support website to figure it out. Once I had a network connection established for the first time, I haven’t had any problems with it since except for one time when I had to restart my phone. It’s amazing overall! I truly feel like I got my money’s worth and then some. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a quality midrange phone.

Perfect for the price! Be careful with the charging port!
As far as refurbished phones I was expecting it to be a bit worn. But it came completely immaculate! Not even a scratch! Zero wear and tear! My only issue was with the charging port. It worked perfectly for a few days and then started giving me an error message saying I needed to check the cable. I plugged the same cable into two different devices and it wasn’t the cable. I noticed the port was loose and believe it got bent some how. Not sure if it got mashed on or what. But I immediately sent it back. The refund process was a breeze! I ended up picking up a galaxy A71 for about the same price.

Lied to, false description (NOT unlocked)
I bought this phone as I have bought other refurbished items before elsewhere, and have never had any issues. My husband needed a new phone so I thought yay!The phone worked at first for about 60 days, before we noticed that it wouldn’t update. We would install, then at the download it would fail 23-25% stating an error, and failed. We contacted both this seller’s support and Amazon support to try and figure this out. We restarted the phone multiple times, and factory reset completely multiple times. This never fixed the issue. The company stated it should work but I can send back for a refund. As this day in age, it’s difficult to be without a phone, I tried buying a new one first and was sold a scratched up one which I’ll be returning immediately.I do not have the funds to keep buying a different phone in hopes to replace this one only to be sent something worse. So I contacted Samsung Customer support, and according to them who looked into this phone through IMEI number, it is LOCKED to AT&T, which I don’t use.I bought this phone specifically for the unlocked part so I can use the carrier that I chose. As updates are supported through carriers, this phone will never update until I can go to a Samsung approved repair shop.I’m so disappointed that this company LIED about it being unlocked and incredibly disappointed in their choice of false advertising and poor business practice.

I am very pleased with the Samsung Galaxy A51 cell phone. It is easy to use and takes great pictures too. I am also very pleased with the Seller. I bought this phone and after I received it I was using it and not sure what happened but screen wouldn’t come on. I contacted the Seller and he replaced the phone immediately.I would buy from this Seller again without any hesitation and would buy this phone again.

A nice 5G phone
Phone is in very good condition. Only minor blemishes where the case use to occupy the area around the rear camera. Runs as good as new. Charger included is very slow. Had to buy a 21W fast charger able to fully charge the 4500 nah battery for just 70 minutes.

Good phones at a good price
We now own 4 of these phones and paid less for 4 than most people pay for one phone these days. Not to mention we paid for them in full rather than making payments forever. These phones work great and do everything we need. All we had to do was pop the Sim cards in from the old phones and fire them up. The Samsung smart switch software made it a breeze to transfer all the content. I couldn’t be happier. I am actually using mine to type this review.

Best Bang for the Buck!
Perfect condition, packaged better than I expected, even had the protective plastic sheets all around the phone! 5G is working great, huge improvement over my slowly dying Samsung S8. Very fast compared to the S8, better cameras, better fingerprint reader, larger (not too large), crisp looking, and 5G!I considered the A21 and FE 5G, but wanted to keep it around $300 for a phone. This A51 5G nails everything I was looking for at a great price!I did hesitate buying an “Amazon Renewed” phone, but with a 90 day easy return and the 2 Year Extended Warranty I bought, plus a case, all for under $350, it was a no brainer. The cost of a new A51 5G alone from my carrier is $499 and I did not want to spend that much!

Top value cellphone
When I bought this product I was skeptical about the condition. But after I received it and very carefully inspected it I found absolutely no sign of use. And to date, I have been extremely pleased with the functionality of this product, it’s camera, and it’s great price. Plus Amazon offers includes a 90-day guarantee. I compared it to two other Samsung cell phones which were more expensive, the A71 and the S20 FE. I much prefer the camera’s color rendering of the A51 5G to those other two Samsung phones.

Two non-function bricks
Very disappointed with this purchase. The first refurbished phone sent was not an unlocked phone and was clearly in terrible condition, scratches dings and chipped paint (we ordered an excellent condition phone) so we had to return and they sent a new phone. The second phone came and and looked great, however we couldn’t get it to list, or connect to any cell networks. Instead it showed a ø where the signal bars are. Attempted a factory reset, tried several known working t-mobile sim cards. No dice. We attempted to do another exchange but that wasn’t an option, only a full refund. Three full weeks for no phone. If you are going to sell a refurbished item please make sure the thing works! My guess here is that no one is actually checking that things work, just wiping them down and reselling! Very shady!

Great phone with decent price
I previously had a galaxy S9. Honestly I can’t tell the difference aside from the location of buttons and fingerprint reader. I definitely won’t be buying another galaxy at the higher end price point. This one does just fine for me and I’m not as worried about breaking it. I don’t like the fingerprint reader being on the screen and it’s location at the bottom is awkward to reach but other than that this phone is great.

horrible experience
i purchased this phone with the understanding that the phone was unlocked.. before i state my problem i have to give credit the phone itself it was practically brand new.. not a single blimish and the phone would have met my expectations and more.. my problem was that the phone was locked and black listed by at&t .. i spent hours on the phone with AT&T customer service and my cell phone provider to learn that the phone had an outstanding balance due and they wanted me to pay the balance before i could get the phone unlocked .. after voicing my concerns to amazon (their customer service is amazing and i dont blame amazon )(this phone was from a third party) i can not get my money back till the company gets their phone back which is in the mail as i write this .. but is very frustrating considering that it will be about a week for them to get the phone.. so be mindful this was my experience and might not be yours just do your research first

Blurry Front Camera and Couldn’t Make or Receive Calls
After I received the product, I noticed the front camera was completely blurry. But due to other circumstances, I kept the phone because I figured a phone without a working front camera was better than no phone. After three months of using the phone, it stopped receiving calls and didn’t let me call anyone. I tried taking my sim card out and blowing any dust particles out but it didn’t work. I ordered a new phone from Samsung and moved my sim card over. I can call just fine now, so my sim card wasn’t the issue. I’d recommend just buying from Samsung unless you have time to inspect the phone upon arrival and send it back if it has issues.

This phone that I ordered it worked but it didn’t work.
This Samsung Galaxy a51 5G I ordered it worked but it didn’t work. Always check with your cell phone carrier to make sure that it works but if it doesn’t work even after they update the IMEI number. The phone refused to make a call then hang up abruptly.automatically hangs up on you then there’s something is wrong internally so therefore I used it as parts for the current phone that I have to fix my own. Just beware when ordering phones from Amazon or ebay or online in general. You might lucky and it might work perfectly fine for you.I can see why it’s not available from the seller no more.

BUYER BEWARE
The seller knows these phones are out of warranty from Samsung. They were originally returned for a reason. The seller does not offer any trouble shooting. I have had 3 of these paper weights and all 3 have the same problem. They disconect from your service provider and as a result incoming calls do not ring. The calls are sent to voice mail. Also you are unable to make calls untill you turn the phone off and restart it. This only happens at random intervals. So, there is no way to tell if the phone is working or not.Buy a new phone from Amazon and get a manufacturers warranty. DO NOT BUY AMAZON REFURBISHED!!!

I needed an AT&T phone and I received a Verizon phone. The description says that it would work for AT&T. I’m not sure what happened or how the phone was not unlocked. I’m still waiting on my refund. So far great, as a renewed phone except for the packaging generic box, it looks great. Replacing the Note 9 overly price junk, and (A21s great cheapphone) The A51 5g was similarly priced as the A21s…it does have better specs; hopefully it will be better.

THRILLED! BUT…
I’m really thrilled about this phone, but… Well, I will explain further in a list of Pros and Cons.PROS1. I’m thrilled with the speed of the performance of this phone. When you click an app or a link, etc., the phone immediately does what you want it to do without lagging, pausing, or delay. 🙂2. I’m thrilled with the speed of recharging this phone. And I’ve never timed it before or read how fast it charges, however, you can see how fast the battery percentage increases, and before you know it, your phone is fully charged. 😁3. I purchased this phone renewed, therefore, I bought it at a discount price. However, the performance of this phone is like new and I’m very thrilled about that. 😁4. I love the animated 3D lock screen image of the little moving objects, which I have screen shots of in the images for this review. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a phone lock screen with animated 3D images before. 🙂CONS1. I’m not a big fan of the fingerprint sensor being on the front screen of the phone because it makes it difficult to open your phone when you’re driving. However, I do like the lime green color that lights up when you press on it.2. Also, I will admit that I am disappointed that the Contacts screen doesn’t have the alphabetical listing of each letter of the alphabet on the right-hand column so that you can press the letter that you want so that the screen will take you to your contacts that begin with that letter. But instead, it just has a column of little black dots going down the right side of the page. 😕3. Now, I asked about this one in the Customer Questions before purchasing it, but I thought the phone speaker was near your ear. However, the phone speaker is at the bottom of the page. Although, I’m not really sure where the microphone is, but most people I talk to seem to be able to hear me and I’m able to hear the sounds coming out of the phone pretty good. But all in all, I’m more thrilled about the Pros of this phone than I am about the disappointments of the Cons of this phone, which really aren’t that great. Therefore, I am only taking off 1 star for my review, which would otherwise be a 5-star review. 😁👍

for the price point, way better than some other makers
I bought an HTC Ultra just 2 yrs ago..it sux… period.. worst “decent” phone i have owned.so i needed to upgrade. this got good reviews from several PC/Phone review sites, which i go to for accurate reviews, descriptions, etc.5G capable, multi lens camera, multi fingerprint capable. overall, a huge increase in quality all around from the HTC, and because its renewed, its barely $30 more, than the brand new HTC i bought 2 years ago.Nothing wrong with renewed electronics for 90+% of items you buy, especially if not real ” moving parts” are involved.other than some quirks the phone has, as in- you get a spam call, you select it, you are only given options to delete or save, not block that number, ala every other phone ive ever had. you can block numbers in spam text, and it asks you right then ” block this number?”. but not on calls.. which is really annoying. so if there is a trick to it, i havent found it.minor things like that, mostly just Samsung being Samsung, and their software, and getting used to it again.at least SO FAR, i really like this phone. Calls i have made to my family, they said ” I can hear you much better, whats changed?” and say I am on a new 5 G phone..so yea, it is better, i cant speak on 5G, only its 5G capable, which is the new metric for phone connections, so thats huge.you wont be sorry, you’ll save a ton of money over Apple 10,11,12, etc.. or Galaxy Note, Galaxy X, etc..got a budget, need a GOOD phone, get this one..just make sure the one you get works with YOUR PHONE PLAN.. not all do, always check FIRST.

Just a phone
The A51 is working out well for the Mrs. I was amused while clicking the rating stars because fingerprint reader and face recognition must be important to somebody but not us. Could care less. On the downside it took a little time removing some of Samsung’s impediments to usability for seniors. This is all the 5G smart phone needed to take and make calls, perform searches and keep track of life via the Google sphere. All apps loaded work as intended. In short this device was well worth the expense. Has droid 11 and rumors are that droid 12 is coming. For T-Mobile subscribers – Easy peasy. Moved SIM from Moto G5. Add to my amazement that SIM was trimmed/converted from the larger SIM used in phones before some grandchildren were born. My point is don’t assume you need a new SIM.
