NOT WELL RENEWED. NOT IN EXCELLENT OR GOOD CONDITION.
Tray for SIM card is damaged (bent) and will not accept a sim. The tray is worn, rather than new. A cheap part that should have been renewed. Also, no SIM removal tool and no manual or link to one online. VEry displeased and will buy from Samsung direct at a higher price.

This phone is not unlocked!!!!!
Upon turning on the phone I saw the T-mobile logo 🤔 . I immediately called T-mobile to find out if the phone is blacklisted only to be told that the the phone is locked by the carrier for an outstanding balance. I am about to return this ASAP.

Worse in virtually every way compared to my 2017 Moto x4. Keeping it due to longer software support
I bought a Moto x4 many years ago and have been perfectly content with it. After it updated to Android 9 I didn’t like the fact that you could no longer see all open apps in the new window-switching view, and it forced a google search toolbar, and a number of other things I thought were worse, so I used directions on xda to revert back to 8.1.I was perfectly happy with this for many years. Then a security-related app I was using notified me that Android 8.1 was not secure and has not received security updates for years. So I have to get the latest version of Android. Then I find out that Motorola doesn’t publish security or Android version updates to the phone past Android 9, so my only option is to buy a new phone or flash a 3rd party ROM. I looked for instructions and ROMs, and LineageOS seemed to be the primary other option, but I ran into many problems. So I looked up what phones were similar to the Moto x4 and provided the longest term of security and software updates. Samsung Galaxy A14 5G seemed to be the winner so I bought it. It’s 6 years newer than my Moto x4 so it should be an enjoyable upgrade at least right? Wrong.* It’s much thicker and taller. Too tall for my liking; difficult to use with one hand – yes I’ve tested the “one-handed features”.* The fingerprint reader is worse. The Moto x4’s works 90%+ of the time, the A14’s works about 40% of the time.* The battery takes many hours more (can be more than twice as long) to recharge (via USB 3.0 to my PC) and drains as fast or faster.* No call recording.* No view all open apps ability.* Various other annoyances related to how the software functions on this phone/android version. The only noticeable improvements are more customization of notifications & layout.New Android versions & phones are barely different and many of the changes are often downgrades. Hyping them up and making us buy new phones to get security updates is such a scam. My Moto x4 could have lasted me another decade at least.I hate the smartphone industry. Thankfully, California’s new Right to Repair law might mostly solve this issue for the future.

Decent
Good looking phone, but the ambient light sensor wasn’t very good. And it seems to freeze up every couple seconds with the touch screen.

How do I know?
The phone came still factory locked. If it wasn’t unlocked, how do I know it truly was refurbished? Glad I got the extended warranty.

Very nice budget phone
This is a great budget phone. Sure higher end phones have better cameras, faster charging, and wireless charging. This phone’s camera is plenty good for me and plugging in for a 15W charge is good enough for me. This phone has a large screen and large battery (some of Samsung’s higher-end phones have smaller batteries). Samsung also promises longer upgrade support for higher end phones, but I didn’t figure that spending twice as much for a phone with twice the ssoftware support period made for a better value.I did have trouble getting an actual Factory Unlocked phone (the first seller sent Carrier Unlocked versions of this phone instead of Factory Unlocked which could not be activated on my preferred carrier due to the carrier using a IMEI whitelist to check for compatibility). Factory Unlocked als means that I am not reliant on a carrier’s software update channel (the AT&T carrier unlocked model’s Android security patch level was still more than 6 months old after checking for updates – perhaps updates are only availably for that phone when on AT&T’s network). In the future, I will check the seller’s ratings and reviews before purchasing a refurbished Factory Unlocked phone (note that if the item is shipped by Amazon, the unit you get is not guarantied to be the unit provided by the seller so checking the seller reviews is only useful for sellers who ship directly).

Looked great and was unlocked but
The phone I received was unlocked as promised by the company and it looked in perfect condition like brand new however when I set it up and started to use it it became extremely unresponsive it would open up things that I didn’t want it to open and when I try to open things up it would not respond simple things like the internet on my mail program things like that browser and files folder nothing would open up and sometimes they would open up something else when I click for these therefore I had to return it and request a refund when I called them to request your refund all I got was an answering machine I did this twice before calling Amazon to request an A to z guarantee and they approved my refund I am glad that I kept all my evidence that this phone was indeed returns via tracking number and pictures of the label I put on the box that way they cannot say they didn’t receive the return.

My best phone to date:
Firstly, my apartment was a one bar signal strength, but with this phone, I have plenty of signal and easily can stream Amazon music. The BlueTooth range is excellent. The microSD slot is rated 1 TB, but I only have experience with half. It’s fast.Bought refurbished, seems brand new, long battery, runs Sony headphones, Amazon Music, Alexa, phone calls, messages, just flawlessly, with all the software updated!Popped in my SIM card and good to go.

Great Condition
I didn’t realize I had bought it “used” until after I ordered. When it came to install a SIM on the phone an AT&T page came up saying only AT&T cards could be used but I simply ignored that screen, put in my Mint SIM, and it worked completely fine. There were some barely there scratches on the side of the phone but you can’t see them after you put a case on it anyway.

Would not activate using T-Mobile SIM
The phone was advertised as being for T-Mobile, but it would never activate using a T-Mobile SIM. I could use the same SIM on multiple other phones, locked and unlocked, so I have to conclude that eh description was not accurate. It also didn’t help that T-Mobile is giving these phones away for FREE.

Unlocked how its suppose to be.
I bought this phone after my previous provider has a sim lock on my phone and wanted $150 to unlock it. I said ill buy a new phone. My previous phone was an A10e which held up well. I bought this phone as I saw it was refurbished but in excellent condition. When I received it the packing was looking good on it. Upon opening it I saw this brand new phone in the box. I mean there wasn’t a scratch or anything wrong with it. There was no manuals/information pamphlet however I didn’t expect it to have one. I also usually throw them out anyway. It included the sim card tool as well as charging cable which is always a plus. Honestly if you are looking for a phone that can run games decently as long as they aren’t heavy games (cod) as well as work good and stays fast. I would recommend this one! Phone was fully unlocked. It accepted my Mint mobile sim card right away only thing it needed was to do a restart.

false advertisement
Before purchasing this device I confirmed the device isUnlocked for All Carriers per the description under wireless carriers. However this device is only unlocked for AT&T and does not work for T-Mobile SIM cards. Therefore this is false advertisement and a waste of time and Money. I requested a replacement that is as advertised or for the unlock code to be provided but customer service was less than helpful. I was told that I would receive a call back regarding the unlock code but instead I received an email in the middle of the night stating that a refund would be issued on a gift card once the device is returned in 3-5 business days. Time effectiveness is extremely important given that I use this device as a source of income. This is unacceptable and I am Truly disappointed!

I wish I could give a rating.😔
The phone was advertised as unlocked, but it isn’t and therefore can not be connected to my cell network. I’m still waiting for a simple unlock code but I am being told that it could take another 48 just to get it. I received the phone on 9/25. When and if I can ever use it, I’ll be more than happy to give a rating.

Not Unlocked as Advertised…Waste of Time
Of course I get this phone and despite being advertised as unlocked to all carriers, it is not. Only will work with T Mobile and I have Verizon. Is there some reason they can’t just advertise what they actually have? Gotta love that all the inconvenience falls to me even though they make the mistake and screw up. Now I have to go return the thing just to get Amazon credit. Thanks for nothing.

Buyer beware
The media could not be loaded.
I bought this phone, then after turning the phone on and setting up the phone. The screen started to glitch and become unresponsive. Suddenly the phone screen went black and did not work anymore. I’m really upset as I trusted the Amazon Renew program as I could not afford a high budget phone.

Great condition. Unlocked as promised.
Fingerprint reader not recognized. I use that regularly and won’t accept without. Yes, I rebooted and reset as recommended, but it simply doesn’t work. Not properly tested, obviously, or this problem would have been identified, hence the low review.

It won’t do the basics
I have had two of these phones and returned them both within a few days. The problem: You cannot make or receive phone calls. This sounds bizarre, but it is true. I would get a call to the phone, and I’d answer it, and the person on the other end could not hear me at all. When I would try to call somebody, they would answer and never hear me at all. After spending hours on the online Samsung tech support, they referred to to an authorized repair store, and they said the only way to fix this was to have a new motherboard in the phone, and those were back-ordered almost a year. Nice phone. Pretty. But would not do the basics.

No
I returned because it wasn’t able to work with the phone company even though it said it was compatible with everyone it was open unlocked never used but if it’s free used and and refurbished it is used to compare to all the companies so be warned refurbished won’t be able to be used as an unlock cuz other phone companies will see it was used before does that means it’s not unlocked to them that’s what I was and no it’s not worth the money did nothing better than my phone did the quality not worked in my own I would have had my own from 10 years ago. no value with money here especially on this website and you’re getting no value anywhere on Amazon.

NOT the US version as listed!
This phone was listed as the unlocked US version meaning it would be available for CDMA carriers like Verizon. It, however, is the GSM version, and seems to be locked to AT&T. I purchased 2 of these phones each for my children and they are both this way. If you are looking for the US version and plan to use Verizon do not purchase this refurbished version it is not what you’re looking for. Returning.

Not happy
Nothing bad about the phone itself. BUT for the seller, as soon as I got my phone set up I got a text from AT&T saying that my phone was currently on an UNPAID INSTALLMENT PLAN and that if I continue to use the phone they will disable my sim card. So I bought a phone that I either have to pay off the installment before I can use it, or return the phone. I got hustled trying to buy a decent phone that won’t break the bank or cause me to sign another contract. Not a good experience.

More obnoxious than it’s worth.
For reasons absolutely no tech support person anywhere could explain, there are inexplicable issues: carry-over, specifically relating to apps connecting and working between linked devices, which has frankly put a massive hitch in many of my everyday routines. I shopped for ages for a good deal, but this phone, maybe because it was used, is highly problematic for the few functions on it on which I rely. Autocorrect does not work. It does not remember frequently used words unless you misspell them. The screenshot function is useless and highly problematic. Certain apps just don’t run. If you edit a photo, it immediately becomes “corrupted”. Both the seller of this item and the manufacturer really botched their jobs with this one. I’m sure I’ll find mpre problems as I use it. The moral is: don’t truat Amazon to refurbish tech. Buy directly from a provider.
