When Condition New = Condition Good with New price
I don’t really ever buy renewed products. Then the thought of buying a renewed cell phone. Ugh. But I did it anyway. It said New Condition right? So far my phone usage and experience are pretty good. It works. I got it on my carrier no problem.I’m very picky and I know this comes in the realm of renewed products but, The stylus and the port where the stylus goes were gashed. The silver metal gashes across the black smooth corner/edge are noticeable and don’t affect the phone’s function. Then the screen must have been replaced because the adhesive was still around the outside ridge of the phone. I would have put this phone in good condition definitely not in New condition.New condition doesn’t mean gashed, New doesn’t mean covered with repair adhesive. New would have had the proper quality controls in place to not have a product reach a customer in a condition it was not advertised.

I have had better “Excellent” condition?
The box arrived in pretty beat up, crunched, previously abused condition. The phone and contents rattled in the packaging. This is not what I expect from a premier refurbisher/vendor. The inside packaging lacked product protection, I would have been ashamed had my company shipped this product in these containers. My returns/trade-ins were much better packaged. The description said the phone was in Excellent used condition with no visible scratches visible with in 12 inches. I agree, there were no scratches on the face or back of phone. The metal bezel around the outside; however, was a different story. The original black finish showed chips around the perimeter of the phone as well as around the camera lenses. The phone seems to work properly with out any glitches but to describe the phone as in “excellent condition” was inflating the condition. Perhaps “very good” would be a better description. The charger, cord and sim removal tool were generic, as to be expected. As stated earlier, the phone operates with out issue, and I guess that is more important than the packaging and cosmetic condition. The phone was described as “unlocked” and that is what it was. No indication of previous network or bloatware. Setting up the phone was like setting up a new phone. Everything transferred from my old phone to the new phone through my wifi, except for some minor settings which is to be expected.

Solid refurb
Phone was purchased in excellent refurbished condition and it does in fact match. The phone appears to be practically brand new as far as physical condition. Phone also passes all diagnostic tests including for battery life. The listing does state up front that the phone may or may not come in original packaging or with original accessories (i.e. charger and adapter), however I was a little disappointed to see that not only were the included charger and adapter not OE Samsung, but they were incredibly cheap no-names. The adapter is made of crummy-feeling plastic, completely unmarked with a brand and feels like it’s got nothing inside it’s so light, and the cable is extremely thin, coating with a low quality rubber, also free of brand marking. They do work, but definitely not fast-charge capable, and I would have expected with the quality of the refurb job itself on the phone that at the very least a fast-charge capable aftermarket would have been included, or even an Amazon Basics branded charger, not some total no-name junk.

So Far-So Good
The Galaxy Note 20 Plus was delivered after a week was delivered as described. No issues as of yet and I don’t see any happening.***Update -After I wrote this review a couple of days later I was putting back the protective case after wiping it clean and the screen cracked. I have had multiple Samsung devices and have never had an issue with the screen cracking so easily. It’s obvious the seller is using substandard materials to refurbish and then resell them on Amazon. The phone was well within the return window and they are now refusing a refund claiming “accidental handling”. Stay far away from this vendor-Chubbiestech !

Features
Perfect quality, camera and everything is top notch. However the inside of the charger where you plug in your USB cord is slightly bent, making it sometimes hard for your phone to charge but can easily be fixed by purchasing other cheap charger heads 🙂

Power button rocks up and down like a see-saw.
Thought maybe power button had some sort of scrolling feature, but upon trying to click it, it wouldn’t click. Just tilt up and down from top of button to bottom like seesaw. And also, looking at the screen an an angle is got a gray shadow. Besides that it’s a great phone when it comes to speed, customization features, the pen is cool and nice screen and camera is nice. Oh the battery charging speed is particularly slow compared to my oneplus phone. Overall kudos 👏

DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL WITHOUT INSURANCE…SAMSUNG DEFECT…READ
UPDATED: I owned the phone for FOUR MONTHS and the screen randomly went black. Tried to troubleshoot with YouTube videos. Tried every hack. Nothing worked. Filed a claim with Asurion. Thankful I bought insurance, although there was a whole separate nightmare with Asurion. Be sure to read my review under Asurion of how deceptive and terrible this insurance company is. Bottom line, I took the phone to a repair shop and learned the “random black screen” is a known issue and common in the Note 20 Ultra 5G. Samsung never issued a recall or addressed it, but nearly every Note 20 Ultra 5G eventually experiences a black screen, and THE ONLY FIX is to get a NEW SCREEN INSTALLED. A new screen runs $299.99 US. Asurion wanted me to pay the $299.99 and that’s after I bought a policy for $149.99 and paid a “fee” of $99 + tax, total $109.19 to file a claim. When you buy an insurance policy, you have to pay a $99 fee every time you file a claim. So I was looking at $638 for the phone (excl. tax) + $150 for insurance + $110 to file a claim + $300 for a new screen ALL INSIDE FOUR MONTHS. Do the math, then decide if you should even buy the phone. I was livid when I learned all this. Asurion should be investigated by the FTC for unfair and deceptive business practices. In the end, Asurion paid for the repair, refunded my $109.19 so my investment was still just the cost of the phone and the insurance policy. IF YOU BUY THIS PHONE, BUY THE INSURANCE. Otherwise, be prepared to pay $300 bucks for a new screen when it dies on you.ORIGINAL 4-Star Review: Phone looks NEW! Fingerprint reader is inferior to Note 8…my last Samsung Note.Phone looks new. Delivery time was longer than normal. I like the features so far. The fingerprint reader is not so great. Seems slow reading, probably because the technology uses the screen and not a lens like on the Note 8. Older fingerprint readers, like on my Note 8 are faster, although rear placement, it’s much faster using the camera lens or whatever the technology is that scans my fingerprint. Bottomline, it’s twice as fast. The fingerprint reader on this Note 20 Ultra, which scans from the middle of the lower third of the screen, is slow and feels cumbersome. I’m constantly having to rescan or place my thumb over the fingerprint icon longer. Entering my PIN is faster. I may disable the fingerprint reader. I have to keep my thumb on the screen for 1-2 seconds to get it to unlock. Still new to using the phone. I got this phone as a memory upgrade to my Note 8 and so far I like that I have 512 GB internal and 512 GB microSD so I’m sporting 1 TB combined. Although it may have numerous features I haven’t discovered yet, it feels very similar and familiar to my Note 8, which I like. Only one week with this new phone so we’ll see how it goes. I may update my review.

Asurion Accident Protection Plan is terrible.
The way your Accident Protection Plan works is very inconvenient and inefficient. If Asurion has contraced service centers in my area, why not have them do the repairs or service? It seems like common sense that if I can drop my phone off at a place locally that can fix it; they should be able to fix it under the Asurion Accident Protection Plan. Then I should be able to pay the service fee of $39 for a repair rather than $99 for replacement (which actually has hidden fees not mentioned until you process a claim!).The way it is set up now, from what I understand is that I have to have my phone sent into one of your service centers, wait to see if you can fix it, then if not I have to wait for a credit or gift card so I can replace my phone on my own. None of that even tells me how long I would have to wait for the repair, if possible, or the credit. Why should I have to send my phone in for Asurion to see if they can fix it when there is a place right here that I can take it and have it fixed in 2 hours? The cost of the repair should be covered under the accident protection plan. The service center should be able to provide the repair service that should be covered underneath the accident protection plan.Asurion needs to update the coverage information for purchasers to read disclaimers that the phone must be sent in to one of your service centers instead of bringing it to a place locally. If I have to send my phone in, then Asurion should provide mailing supplies to send it into your service center instead of me having to take a somewhere. This whole thing has been very frustrating and annoying. It does not give me confidence in purchasing any more asurion accident protection plans as here I am with a cracked screen, that can be repaired, and I have no idea how long I would have to be without it in order to get it fixed or replaced. I work remotely and depend on my phone to do my work, therefore cannot be without it for any length of time. That is the reality of the world today. Remote workers and people who need their phones to do their jobs. Asurion needs to update their system to accommodate the way the world is heading or get out of the Accident Protection Plan business. No, I would not recommend your service to anyone, ever again.

Excellent Condition for a refurbished phone
The phone arrived quickly. I selected expedited and it only took a couple of days. It was packaged nicely, in a small box with a welcome note / directions. There is one dent/scratch in the bottom right corner. The stylus also has some scuff marks towards the bottom. Other than that – the screen / phone are in great condition and the phone protector covers the scuff marks. It would look perfect if it wasn’t for those two small things – neither of which bother me. I’m happy with how new the screen itself looks. My phone still has the Verizon logo upon turning it on (There is a note attached to the package that says this is normal). Due to this ,when I input my SIM card, it states that it cannot be read and certain functions won’t work. I was able to activate it myself with Metro and everything seems to be working fine, even with the warning still attached. The battery life is terrible. Drained within 5 hours with medium usage. I haven’t played around fully in the settings to see if I can optimize this yet to be fair. The phone itself is fast and the screen is super clear. It is also very user friendly. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. It is sad to know that Samsung will eventually stop running major updates on this line, which could potentially cause the phone to be slower and slower. With the high price of phones these days I think this is a great find regardless.

Things I know now and wished I knew before re Samsung Note20 Ultra purchase on Amazon
So I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra via Amazon on 4/30/23. This was my first refurbished phone purchase and I was unsure of how it would turn out. Why? Because the reviews were sufficiently mixed with happy people and people who received less than what they ordered. Amazon is great for returns if the item is faulty, so that’s why I bought here.In short, I wanted an android phone with a pen, and the ability to add in my own memory card. This is the last Note with the option to add memory. I read lots of reviews on this model and while it’s not perfect, it fit the bill for me. Overall reviews were good on Amazon. Yet there are an abundance of sellers with varying performance ratings, while the reviews are gathered all together. Add to that many of the listings said condition would be excellent or good or whatever, but didn’t indicate which condition I would receive. Also prices vary between listings. Not a whole bunch, but there are differences. So I kept looking.Ultimately I found a listing that stated the condition I wanted (I went for excellent). But here’s where it gets interesting — to the right of your webpage, under checkout, lists the name of the refurbishing provider with a hyperlink. I often check this before I buy because the provider’s background informs me how they do business. If they have many complaints. Or if they’re located out of the USA. In my case, the company was located in Colorado and they had sold a number of phones, most with positive reviews. So I went with them. Here’s their name, just in case you’re interested: Macalegin Electronics, LLC. Fort Collins, CO.My phone arrived timely. It was well-packed and included a SIM release tool, charger plug-in and wire. The plug-in was, or at least looked, new and OEM. The cord was iffy, so I used my own. They work well together. The phone looked like new. No scratches I could find, charged quickly, and at the time of this writing works problem-free. I also bought a camera scratch protector and case from Spigen (thru Amazon) and both arrived directly from the manufacturer. I am a happy camper.I have 90 days to test this unit. If anything goes wrong I’ll edit my posting. I highly recommend this provider. My suggestions are to make sure the listing you’re buying from promises you the condition you want. Also check to see who or what business is providing it to you and how they deal with returns and/or complaints. It just makes like easier. Cheers!

Why buy new one?
I will never buy a new cel phone again-This is the first time I bought “refurbished” cel phone looks brand new not a scratch on it, and works great, even the charger is the same-fast charge. I wanted the same phone as the one I had (fell off the table and big cracks on glass) replacing the glass is about $350-$400, and a new one is about $1100.00. We decided to try refurbished phones and I glad we did.

Was this really refurbished?!
If you’d just handed me the phone without telling me it was renewed, I’d have never been able to tell. It looked brand new out of the box… not a single scratch on the phone, battery lasts a day and a half with my typical usage.

I’m really enjoying this phone
First of all, it’s a refurbished phone. It arrived completely unlocked without a single blemish on it.I specifically chose this phone because it was the only relatively new model with ALL these features:1. Memory card slot. I put a 512 GB card in it to make sure I don’t run out of space. Almost every major phone company has ditched it.2. Stylus. Because I do IT work using this phone from time to time, I need the precision of a stylus when selecting files or accounts.3. UWB. I wanted Ultra Wide Band for some of the new connectivity.Pros:1. Stylus is very accurate.2. Good looking display.3. Camera better than expected.4. Speed is still great considering it’s a 2020 release.5. It’s an Android. Sorry iPhone peeps, but Apple is way to controlling and hides too much. I was an iPhone guy up through 6, but I won’t be going back in the foreseeable future. I currently have an iPhone 11 as a tester phone.Cons:1. I wish the battery lasted longer; however, I do things that tend to burn through battery life.2. Most of the time I do a screenshot, it also engages the volume level on the screen causing me to retake it too often.3. The fingerprint scanner needs serious work. This is the most annoying thing about Samsung. My S20 FE was just as bad. I prefer the fingerprint sensor on my Pixel, which is on the back, so much more. The Samsung face recognition does work really well, even in lighting conditions that aren’t that great.FYI, I paid $400 for a phone that retailed for $1,300 two years ago.At $400, this thing is FANTASTIC.Another side note, I have about 8 different phones, because I have to do app testing.

Great phone
There’s not much to say about the phone itself, it is fast, looks and feels great, battery lasts a decent time despite being used (about 30% at the end of the day, I listen to music for 8+ hours during work), the pen is mostly a gimmick but it is still really nice to have. What I do have to say is not about the phone itself though, the spiel for this used phone was that it was in “excellent” condition, which meant no visible damage, but the metal frame has very noticeable scratches, there’s also a dead spot at the very edge of the screen, but due to the shape of the screen it’s really not noticeable during everyday use. Also debatable that the phone battery is “80%” capacity at least, this phone has 1000mAh more battery than my last, however, the battery still lasts about the same other than not dying rapidly during idle (my phone was 5+ years old at the time). If they hadn’t claimed no visible damage (or there had in fact been none) I’d otherwise give a full 5 stars, the phone is fantastic.

Beautiful phone but had an issue
I loved this Samsung S20 ultra phone, so smooth and had all the features I love including wireless charging. However it had some ATT apps on it and that I couldnt remove, changed the APN but no luck, it wouldn’t allow me to update the software, keot saying no wifi. In addition after a couple of days the power button wouldnt work every time and I had to shut down the phone using Bixby. At this point I decided to return it. I thought it was quite expensive for a phone renewed and had these issues. I purchased it through Amazon’s D’Tech Mobile partner. One other item, no charger in the box, although this didn’t bother me as I like to use wireless charging. The phone looked good there were a few small scratches near the C port and I was happy with the phone features. I would never have returned it if it had worked 100%. This was my first time buying a renewed phone, doubtful I will do it again.

Note20 Ultra – havEarly
I ordered the factory unlocked bronze 128GB in excellent pre-owned/refurb condition. I am replacing my Verizon Note9 and jumping ship to Google Fi. The phone was factory unlocked and no carrier popped up when booting up the device. Loaded up my new sim and I was good to go. The phone was in great condition, except for a small, noticeable scratch on the power button. A little wear on the charging port, but the phone almost looked new to an extent. 12GB RAM. Camera works well. Battery is OK enough. Screen was perfect. Bronze color is matte, not glossy. I purchased a soft screen protector and it fits with an OtterBox. It came with a usb-c cord and charging brick. The charging brick was a havEarly brand, not Samsung, and would get so hot it burnt my hand. I tossed it out after a few charges out of fear it would cause a fire. The tiny scratch and the defective charging brick are very frustrating. That said, I am a Note guy. I started with the Note3 and I am sad to see this line go. I will use this bad boy for a few years and put it on backup for the next one. Very happy I went this route as the Note series is iconic.Update: I found out it is technically a US Cellular device. They wiped nearly everything off of it, but still some bloat apps and settings that show it is. Not terribly upset because it never affects anything except maybe after a major update. Phone fell on ground and S-Pen came out and snapped in half from fall. This is the first time this has happened with any Note I’ve owned. I ordered a factory replacement on Amazon for $20 to replace, but not happy. The broken S-Pen looked pretty cheaply made. I hadn’t really used it much yet, but my luck.

First Dual SIM Phone I’ve Had. Love It!
I’m disappointed that Samsung quit making the Note series, ending with the Note 20. I keep my cell phones several years though, so this should last me until Dual SIM 5G phones become more commonplace. To use Dual SIM you need the T-Mobile version (at least when I bought mine that was the only version that supported Dual SIM) and one SIM will need to be an e-SIM, which T-Mobile will do for you on-line through the website. I added my physical work AT&T SIM and the two coexist without issue. Both are active and I can receive calls and texts from either SIM without any action. When I make calls or send texts I can press one extra button to choose which SIM I want to originate from.Battery life seems to be about a day for me as a light user. Maybe an hour of phone calls, and a few texts a day. Most of my use is data looking at maps for traffic, listening to music, or reading email. It charges fast though and you can extend the battery life by selecting the battery saver option that stops charging at 85%. It will get there fast though, I believe charging at about 9V @ 18W on a PD charger. From less than 20% it gets to 85% in about 25 minutes for me on a fast charger.

Great phone but still had to return it (Note 20 Ultra)
I ordered an excellent condition Note 20 Ultra in black and it arrived exactly as advertised, without a scratch. It is the most beautiful phone I’ve ever owned and I’ve had several dozen phones. My daily phone is an iPhone 13 Pro Max because of work (Apple Ecosystem) so this phone was to take a break from Apple at times. I also own a Samsung S20 Ultra so not new to Samsung / Android. Out of the box I had connection issues with WiFi and cell phone switching. When I left my house from WiFi into T-Mobile cell service I would get no service. I then had to reboot the phone, it would connect to cell service and then the phone would blowup with notifications. It didn’t happen every time I left the house, was 50/50. It also had issues with lag like it was out of memory. Opening YouTube for example I’d get the spinning ball. Checking for software update or cleaning the memory, the color dots wouldn’t even spin. Then there is the battery (4500 mAh) which was extremely poor. My best battery day was 3 hours 49 minutes onscreen time with 60hz refresh set. For comparison my used older S20 Ultra battery (5000 mAh) best day was 9 hours 2 minutes (iPhone, 10 hours 16 minutes). So I called around and found a Samsung certified store which quoted me $79 for an OEM battery replacement. I would have totally changed the battery if the phone didn’t have the other issues. I only used the phone for 4 days and after the second hard reset, I made the decision to return it. I just sent it back today after receiving it 7 days ago. Even with the issues, I miss it already. I don’t miss the battery life and the hiccups but the phone itself was gorgeous (that 1440p screen). It was no fault of the Amazon seller, someone would have to use the phone for days to detect these issues.

Better than the S 23 Ultra +
After being sold on the Note series for years, I was kind of coerced into upgrading my phone to the S23 Ulta + when we changed carriers. Although it had some nice features, it was very glitchy..(not to mention, the carrier turned out to be very underhanded). I ultimately ended up returning that phone and going back to my previous provider. However, I still needed a phone because my Note 9 had a slight cracked screen, the S pen had been ruined, and it was just time to move on. After researching, I found the Note 20. Not the latest phone model, but the greatest, in my opinion. The camera was even better than the S23 U+, I still have the ever useful S pen, no e card (which I find disturbing), with an insreased memory. I love it. And I love that I can have the battery replaced easily when the time comes. Best phone EVER.

I saved a ton of money!
I know they discontinued the note line an went to the S22 ultra phone. My heart was really set on the Ultra S22, but my budget said I can’t afford $1100.00 and I didn’t want to be locked in a contract. I did the next best thing and that was purchasing a refurbished note 20 ultra. I was really skeptical since it said it was unlocked for all carriers. When I got the phone I really felt disappointed because it wasn’t the phone I wanted. Also it was from a Verizon carrier, which that didnt matter since I have Verizon which made it easy to get the phone turned on. I was really shocked with the features the phone has. It didn’t come with a sim card, but it’s duel Sim capable, which means it has a virtual Sim so I didn’t have to wait to get a sim card. After playing around with the phone, I really love how nice it is. The camera isn’t as good as the ultra S22, but it’s very nice and probably can’t really tell the difference. It may be slightly slower, but it’s faster than any phone I ever had and I probably wouldn’t know any different between the phones. I’m just touching the surface of what it’s capable of doing and for around $450.00 plus a warranty, I believe I made the right choice for me and if your having budget issues and having the same issues then just get the note 20 ultra. You can always return it if it’s not for you.

Amazon Renewed product Not up to snuff
Out of the box it looked like a brand new phone. Also included was a screen protector that worked better than others that I have tried. There seems to be a problem with the curved sides of the screen that create problems with these phones, but this one fit and worked better than any others that I have tried.Less than 24 hours after receiving this item, it was giving a black screen and I was unable to do anything with the phone. After finally getting it to restart by holding the down volume and power buttons for about 30 seconds, it restarted. Sometimes it took more. It’s difficult to tell if they are being pressed correctly since there is no screen to give any kind of feedback. The Black screen happened several times in the 6 days that I’ve had it and it is very problematic as I work on the road and not being able to check email, text messages and receive or make calls is very problematic.I have ordered a replacement and will update this review when I receive the new phone.

Seems to work just fine
I used this to replace my Galaxy Note 8, which I loved and used for years. The smart switch was relatively easy, and after checking with my Mint mobile (T-mobile) carrier, as I got an unlocked phone, the switch with the sim card and the micro USB card went fine. I watch the video on YouTube on how to do it. I have only had the phone for a week, but everything seems to be working OK. I gave the product a 4 star, because there were a few dings on the front glass, and the plug where the charger goes in had some strange white powder-like residue around it that I found strange. Other than that, things seem to be working fine.

Arrived with sticky buttons
Customer support is very quick and offered a return, however I really just needed the power and volume keys to stop sticking down. I was able to use compressed air and some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and the buttons work fine now.Other than making sure that doesnt happen to someone in the future I am very happy how this device came. It’s the same as my old phone that my dog broke and it was cheaper to purchase a refurbished one as a replacement instead of cash in on my att warranty.

Phone is great but got a few issues
UPDATE:The phone appears to have charging port issues and tried my best at cleaning it and still have issues. This is frustrating!!First of all the phone is in excellent conditions, it does have some little details on the bezels and back but looks good. The phone does not fast charge or super fast charge and even with a charger plugged in if your using it at the same time the charge actually goes down, i am using a good 45 watt charging block and a good usb c cable that super fast charged my other samsung devices i had before. And finally the phone i received have screen burn in and most noticeable if your using dark mode, if you use it normally (white) you won’t notice much at all. Camera works good and everything else. And before i forget, when you shake the phone you can here that something is loose on the top part, maybe a little screw that wasn’t properly tighten and it’s just loose, wich is annoying. About other functions, calls are good and everything else works good. But I’m a bit disappointed about those issues

camera issues
UPDATE*****so i previously purchased the phone through a different seller (i believe eLgeo, or a name thats similar). DO NOT purchase from them. they do not do exchanges and sold me a busted phone in “excellent” condition. my advice is to carefully read reviews from each seller to find someone thats trustworthy. the new seller i bought from, re-cell, has excellent customer service and this phone is actually in excellent condition!only reason im giving a 4 star review instead of 5 is because my first experience with the previous seller. re-cell, you guys are 5 stars-worthy and thank you so much for saving my experience with amazon refurbished!—————————-camera is glitching even after i factory reset it twice. it’s bugged and recording videos come out green and dotty.for purchasing this at the most expensive option, i would hope for it to be like new

Like Samsung or not they are the Android market leader
Update: I removed 1 star because the fingerprint sensor is still the same as the SG S10’s.Within the last 9 months I’ve changed my daily driver from A Samsung S10+ to a Pixel 4XL, to a One Plus 8 Pro and now I am on this Note 20 Ultra. The S10+ plus’s fingerprint reader was so aggravating switching to the Pixel’s secure Face unlock was a relief. The Pixel’s “pure” Android experience is irrefutably Android polish. But over time my dislike for the Pixel’s weak battery and lack of an ultra-wide camera eventually wore on me. Enter the OnePlus 8 Pro. Almost Google-fast updates, clean interface, ultra-fast fingerprint unlock, excellent battery. But OnePlus. in all its popularity as a relative outsider is a niche smartphone. I checked Google’s, Apple’s, and Samsung’s trade-in programs, and none of them accept a OnePlus product. Again, the OnePlus 8 Pro is a great phone, although it’s camera has some compromises and the battery life still could be a bit better.Enter the Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G. Samsung basically took the complaints of the S20 Ultra and fixed them with the Note 20 Ultra. The zoom and the autofocus. The Note today is a statement of polish and refinement and truth be told Samsung is the Apple of Android in terms of the smartphone market. I love my Note. The camera is nothing short of amazing. The U/I is well polished. Samsung has a lot of time to improve it. While The Note 20 doesn’t have Android 11 like the Pixel and OnePlus, Samsung’s focus on a polished interface for humans to take advantage of the Note’s impressive hardware and features is complete synergy. Also, some review sites have faulted The Note 20 Ultra’s battery life. I’ll tell you now, in my experience it’s significantly better/longer than the OnePlus 8 Pro’s which most of those reviewers have praised. It’s been a ride for me phone wise, but ultimately I’m back with Samsung as the Note 20 Ultra 5G is simply perfection. Also kudos to Amazon for their “refreshed” program. I got an awesome deal on this Phone and it arrived like it was brand new out of the box. Amazon extends their promise for 90 days and you also have Samsung’s manufacturer’s warranty. Deal!

Good overall! Some personal critiques, sure, but it’s not brand new (obviously)
First, what I dislike. I knew I was getting a used phone, but the screen came with scratches (no screen protector. Scratches on the glass). Also can’t help but see quite a bit of screen burn. I can read it as I type this actually, because of the white background.. did I expect a new phone? No.. but, yeah. If you’re expecting a brand new phone, lol this is not the place. They do not promise a BRAND NEW phone. I don’t care to spend $1000 + on a brand new phone (or even increase my phone bill to pay one off, hell no). Dont care to keep up with everyone.. as long as the phone is not obsolete.Overall, the phone works great thus far. Camera is fantastic, S pen is lovely. The back of the phone is perfect. Edges look great, no physical damage beyond some screen scratches. This is just a 100% honest review :). Buy one and save money, or spend more for flawlessness. Your call.

The last Note with an SD card slot…
I don’t use face recognition so I can’t say how well it works, but for the first week at any rate, the on-screen fingerprint reader has been amazingly easy to use. I don’t use my phone super heavy and it’s not uncommon to have 70% or more battery when I put it on the wireless charger at night, and it’s *significantly* less picky about placement on the wireless charger than the old phone (note 8). The car has wireless charging and it’s also much better charging there; the old one would often not be in the right place and not get any electrons, where this never fails to juice up.I got the Note 20 because it’s the last Note (currently) that has an SD card slot; I’m absolutely against some company gouging me hundreds of dollars extra for a 256GB phone when a 512GB SD card is under 50 bucks. The drawback to that is this phone came with pretty much nothing at all but a charging cable, which isn’t really adding any value. It took me some time to find a way to get the SD card slot open, without their custom tool, because on this phone at least the hole is waaayyyy too small for a paper clip. I finally unwound the spring from an ink pen, which was small enough and stiff enough to release it. Seriously leave out the cable that probably everyone in the world has by now and put that tool in! It’s needed for the SIM even without an SD card.Speaking of SIM, moving my line to this phone was trivially simple. The phone was apparently on T-Mobile previouisly and I’m on Verizon, and everything worked flawlessly right from the phone. Put the SIM in, turned it on, and followed the instructions. Done.I got a Note because, well, I’ve been a Note fanboy since the 4, when my old Droid with the hardware keyboard gave up the ghost, because of the S-Pen. It’s not something I use every day, but when I do use it, there is literally no alternative that works like the S-Pen. If Samsung ever stops putting that on their phone I’ll probably move on to something more affordable. This is my first ever refurb, and this one at least is exactly what one would hope; it physically indistinguishable from a brand new phone. Even close observation in the light reveals no scratches or blemishes, it hasn’t crashed or exhibited any wonky behaviour (knocks on head), and it’s significantly snappier than the old one. That’s not just because it has more resources, I think it’s because the UI has been tweaked. For example when scrolling a long list this phone’s “inertia”, how long it scrolls untouched after a flick up or down, is much higher than the old phone, so it’s considerably faster to browse by scrolling. I’m sure other improvements have been made as well, and together they translate into a much more responsive feel. The OS itself is similar to the Note 8, really, but it has even more bloat and unremovable cruft in it. For exampe there’s “AR” functionality now, but even though I have nothing AR, and if I do it’s highly unlikely I’ll use this phone in conjunction with it. There’s an “AR Zone” that can’t be disabled, can’t be removed, can’t be told not to nag me with notifications, can’t be managed in the slightest. Seriously Samsung, get off your high horse. You don’t know what I want my phone to do; fine if you want to have that enabled by default, why do I care? But can’t disable it or remove all the massively huge list of permissions? Want to rub some salt in there for me? It’s also considerably more in-your-face nagging about things; like I haven’t figured out how to get it to stop nagging me to save passwords for web sites, as if the last fifteen times I’d change my mind. Stuff like that isn’t helpful, it’s obtuse and rude.Migration was a PitA, but that’s normal, so I mention it anecdotally. Samsung’s “Smart Switch” does make it less than heinously atrocious, but “Everything” isn’t (everything), and it still took me days to get all my appointments and other things loaded in. Once I find my browser bookmarks and get them in I’ll finally be done. Least favorite part of getting a new phone is setting the @*&#% up. I can back up and restore a computer with trivial ease but no phone maker yet is smart enough to do that with a phone. Pathetic.I considered only four stars because of the missing SD card tool. Not sure how many folks would be able to figure out how to open it with the hole being about 2/3 the diameter of a paper clip, which is by the way what Verizon recommends using if one can’t find the tool. I have no straight pins so I don’t know if they work, but if I did I’d still want to file the point off to be sure I didn’t damage anything. But overall a VERY happy camper. If you like Android it’s likely you’ll be satisfied with this phone, and if you’ve never had an S-pen you’ll probably be hooked. lol

Phone came in as advertised and it works well
I expected to see some scuffs on the phone, but the one I received was very minimal for a used phone. I usually use a phone case so it’s not visible. The screen has absolutely no scratches. It’s the S pen that definitely seen better days. The S pen also looks like a replacement, it’s not the original one that came with the phone (the pen received is white, even though the phone I ordered is mystic bronze). The pen is still functional, so that’s what matters to me. However, the S pen air action command does not work on the phone. When I tried to enable the air action command, it says that the S pen is disconnected when it actually is inserted. So the ability to take photos using the S pen does not work. However, in terms of frequency, I honestly do not use the S pen to take photos anyway, so it is not a miss for me. Even the fact that it is not the original S pen is minor to me. It does mention when making a purchase, that Amazon marketplace will get the phone to work up to a standard, but that we should expect that some items may not be the original. And I completely understand.I can’t rate the phone for face recognition or fingerprint reader yet, as I just received the phone yesterday, and I did not test those features yet. I also haven’t inserted an sd card yet to see if I can expand the storage on the device. The camera, audio quality when playing music using Spotify, bluetooth connection to my car or portable speaker, work wonderfully. I did expedite the phone and I received it in a week which is what I do expect for my area. What was included in the package was as advertised because I did get the charger and cable, but it is missing the sim card removal tool even though it said it would be included.Overall, you get what you pay for, and the phone to me looks great. The functions I mainly use do work. I am satisfied with the purchase, and I would shop here again.

Excellent Condition
The phone came fast and it’s in almost new condition. Very pleased. If it weren’t for the fact that they could’ve at least given me the original charger and no cable, I would’ve been happy. The whole point of the phone is the super fast charging but they gave me cheap adapter and cable so it doesn’t charge fast like I wanted it to. I had to go buy the adapter at the Verizon website because anywhere else, you don’t know if you’re getting the original Samsung adapter. I also didn’t like the two black marks in the back of the phone. It looks ugly. Now I can’t use the clear case I bought. Battery sucks! I have yet to use the phone for a week and see if there are no problems.

No scratches on mine works decent
One thing that’s bad about buying refurbished phones is the battery has been used for so long it burns up very quickly. At least in the one I got it does.

Fantastic deal
The phone was delivered with the necessary accessories (charger and sim pin). The phone condition was flawless with no scratch on the case or screen. Also, the phone was unlocked as described, however, due to a few Bozos working for Xfinity mobile who couldn’t perform a basic switchover of service. They claimed the device was locked until a competent colleague took over after 2 hours of nonsense.

Pre-owned
The phone is a great phone. I returned this one because it was more beat up than I would like. 3 scratches on the screen and the top and bottom edges were chewed up. With a phone case you woukdnt see the frame damage but the screen scratches were too obvious. On a dark screen, it would look like bright white holes that light was coming out of.Seller was very nice and sent me a label but I chose to do a return through the return button on my Amazon order screen so I needed to show it was returned and hopefully get refunded for my protection plan I bought separately.I paid a ton more but have a like new no flaws phone. This phone is a great phone!!!

Really good so far!
Phone came in great condition, I got the last black one under excellent condition lol. Was a little dirty but I cleaned it. Just a few faint marks, dirty is an overstatement tbh. Everything’s working so far, everything’s original. Great phone and worth the purchase.I did however notice that on the second day, the 5g was dropping down to lte+. It does this often and stays at that frequency even though I have 5g turned on. I have a regular note 20 besides this. I have a pixel as well, all are 5g and all work at 5g on the Sim card. Constantly at 5g. When I switch the Sim card out, it will go into another phone and back to the ultra, I’ll restart it and the 5g indicator will ignite at the top of the phone for about 30 min before reverting back to just lte. Kind of disappointing. I wonder if I can get a partial refund for this inconvenience, because that gimmick was explicitly not advertised. If it cannot maintain 5g then it shouldn’t be sold as excellent condition.
