It’s a very clear picture and the colors are good.

I chose the Samsung of the stand mainly. I fit fine on the table, the Sony’s legs were too far apart for it.Although the box was badly damaged and I was concerned about the TV, fortunately it was the back side of the TV box so the TV is fine.

Awesome Bright Picture and Great Colors

Love this TV. The picture quality is really great; brightness and amazing colors blow me away. It does a good job of upscaling regular content to 4k, but don’t expect it to do much for older tv shows. Watching Prime, Netflix, and other streaming content looks unbelievably bright, clear, and colorful. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t as thin as my Q60B, but i assume it’s because of the speakers in the Q80. The sound is GREAT!! I can’t believe the bass this thing produces for a TV. Not saying you won’t need a soundbar, but the TV speakers definitely hold their own. It also connects seamlessly with my Samsung Family Hub fridge. Nothing like watching TV on the fridge while cooking or making the morning coffee. Buy this TV. You won’t be disappointed.

Great television + Terrible remote control = Do Not Purchase!

The television picture is good, the online controls are extensive. The problem is the remote control. Since you can only access the TV (select apps, select shows, alter controls, etc.) using the remote, having a remote that doesn’t work properly makes the TV essentially useless – or, worse, a real headache to use.Our remote is alternatively unresponsive or way too sensitive! Unresponsive and you can press the buttons and the TV does nothing. Too sensitive, you tap the button to select an app and the ‘cursor’ moves across the list of apps at high speed passing right over the one you want to access. And, since the product I purchased included Customer Support, I will add as part of my review that Customer Support is nonexistent. I tried the online manual – nothing on point. Then I attempted the online support on the television itself – no response. Next, I tried the telephone number for Customer Support. After an extensive queue (all that pushing buttons nonsense) to hear a recorded message that Customer Support isn’t available!Simply stated – I should have attempted to address the issues with the remote as soon as I set up the television. If I had done that I would have certainly returned the set.My recommendation? Avoid like the plague.

Annoying audio issues and other random glitches on an otherwise decent TV

Overall, this is a pretty good TV. Picture quality is good, and the smart features are decent if you are interested in that stuff, the built in speakers have great range, and I really like the rechargeable remote. Two main issues are popping up in the month I’ve had this TV:1-Recognizing connected devices. When I first plugged an Xbox and a Nintendo Switch into the TV, it recognizes them and even gave a custom icon. Unexpected, but a cool feature. Strangely, it didn’t recognize a PlayStation at all. After a couple days, I moved things around, and had to disconnect and reconnect different components. This time, it didn’t automatically recognize anything and hasn’t since. Even though all the devices were plugged right back in the same configuration, even after attempted a firmware update, then a factory reset, but still nothing. Weird, but not a deal breaker.2-Audio issues. The thing that would keep me from recommending this TV to anyone is the intermittent audio issues. A couple days after using the tv with no problems, the audio randomly cut out/ skipped every few seconds. Messed with different setting in the menus, updated firmware. No luck. Reset to factory settings, it worked fine for a few week. But they just started up again a few days ago. Doesn’t seem to be tied to any specific device or streaming service, just random. Hope I don’t have to reset this tv every few weeks. That will get old really quick.Next time I’ll try a different brand.

Horrible sound, barely adequate picture quality, clumsy interface.

I bought this as an upgrade to my Samsung plasma tv I purchased 13 years ago. The picture on this tv is somehow worse. My PlayStation 5 looks better in 1080p on my old plasma than it does in 4k on this tv. That’s extremely disappointing but not as much of a let down as the sound quality. The sound on this tv is horrible! It’s as if Samsung did a focus study with only 10 year old boys, “I don’t want to hear dialogue, just explosions, and I want everyone within a 50 foot radius to hear the explosions.” I’ve adjusted the equalizer as best I can, turning the bass down as low as it will go and it still overpowers any and all dialogue. If I turn the volume up loud enough to hear talking, any sound effect is blown way out of proportion and disturbing. I can no longer leave the tv on in the background because of this.Overall, I’m horribly disappointed with this tv and will no longer be purchasing Samsung products. Their quality control has gone way downhill and I feel they are just skating by on their name and past reputation. I would give this tv one star but it does turn on and work.

    I’m keepimg it.

Purchased this 85″ monster a month ago. I was a little concerned at first because of a weak column of pixels, but the problem disappeared over the next few days. Next, it is clear, bright, and a pleasure to view Netflix, Prime, etc. The remote is well laid out and easy to use – other than entering search items (consider adding a USB keyboard). That aside, never had a television this large before. It’s like being in a theater, with more comfortable seats. Sound is good, but I wish I had taken Amazon’s suggestion and added the soundbar for a more theater sound. Nevertheless, this draws me out of my cave (Samsung 65″) and am spending more time watching TV with my W-O-M-A-N, (Troglodyte. Music please!) which puts something of a smile on her face. She’s happy. I’m happy. Five stars!

    An Amazing Ultra-HD Viewing Experience.

Our viewing experience was elevated as soon as we set it up to our liking. Easy to set up choose between stand up or wall hanging. Select your picture settings from warm to cool and adjust your brightness to your liking. Refresh rate is very fast so there is no annoying lag. Suitable volume controls with bass and treble settings built in. Comes with a slick rechargeable remote and has built in voice controls. Comes with multiple HDMI and USB inputs. PlayStation 5 works beautifully with this TV. You may think it’s a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Just for fun i hooked up my Mac Book Pro to edit a video I was working on and it was a completely new experience. After the holidays I will be buying another one for my studio. If you love movies or TV then do yourself a favor and order it right now. You will be impressed and glad you did it.

    Wow happy!

Love this tv. I use it as a monitor for my work laptop, too. I was a little worried about how the text would appear because someone talked about issues, but I’ve had no problems at all. The tv is lightyears ahead of my last tv in quality and it’s a size upgrade, too. At this time, I have nothing negative to say about it, and I’ve had it a couple of months. Any issues others seemed to have, I do not. I find the quality itself amazing, but that is an opinion and subject to what you know and have dealt with. Did not have to call support for anything, so I cannot speak to how great they are.

    Just incredible for me

I had a Samsung LCD TV from 2010. 1080p, no frills, basically an over-glorified computer monitor. This is in another league.Picture quality is incredible, sound quality is stellar (this has the upgraded sound/speakers)movies are excellent now.

    Great TV and worth it.

TV was delivered a day early. Great picture and sound. I use the “Amplify” option for better sound quality. At some point during set up, it may seem like you need to take a class to figure some options out, but it gets easier the more you find things like accessing the HDMI outputs.

    Great tv

Tv is the best I’ve ever had or seen. Keep in mind, it’s not only 4k but also 120 hrtz. For this price, that’s exceptional. The only complaint is the remote….it stinks bc of volume. It won’t move up so just keep that in mind. Yet, the TV is a true gem!!!

This TV is exactly what I was wanting!

My first new TV in nearly 7 years, and it is another Samsung. The picture is fantastic, the sound is wonderful, the speed at which I can enable Netflix or Amazon Prime Video or my other streaming services is lightning quick, compared to the older tv. That was the main reason for purchasing and I do not regret spending the nearly $1000 to get faster access, plus the former tv was 45” and this is 65” . I love all the extra channels that come with Samsung Live, so that was a super bonus. Highly recommended!

    Amazing picture, poor software

Well, I found the picture quality on this television to be amazing. The smart TV Samsung interface is absolutely terrible. I’ve had to reset this TV multiple times just to switch between apps. I ended up having to buy a separate streaming device just to watch Netflix.

Tv flickers, and audio desyncs over time

It’s a good tv, but after about 30 minutes of streaming shows, the audio will be ahead of the video, and you have to pause and restart your show to sync it up again. On top of that the tv flickers, unless you change the settings to a specific setting. Would not buy this one again. But the audio is amazing, no sound bar needed, and after the picture was adjusted it looks great. Just a big pain to constantly have to resend, and for some reason it get a quarter of the internet speeds of the devices near it.

    No hands on manual!?

Smart TV needs a hand on printed manual not an on screen manual. This T V does so much that if it’s your first smart TV you’ll not discover it’s potential unless you’re already aware. Hence the need for a hands on manual.

    It’s a step up. But…

While it’s notably better than my LED and generally good overall it is not what I had hoped for. Watching golf there is still a noticeable blurring along a golf club shaft that is irritating for me. If you’re after crystal clarity you’re gonna have to pay for it. Bottom line is the bottom line. Don’t expect way more for much less.

    Amazing TV!

I can’t speak to gaming, but as far as picture quality, sound and refresh rate, this Samsung 65 inch TV is amazing! We have a very bright living room with large windows. No more dark screen when watching tv during the day. The picture is so clear. My husband likes watching premier league football and the motion is spot on. No more sound bar to mess with! The sound is great. For a mid price TV, you cannot go wrong.

    Very good picture

The tv seems well made and sound quality is quite good. Good enough to not need a sound bar. The tv arrived a day earlier than estimated and replaced an older Samsung Tv. The packaging was good and offered good protection. Tv setup was easy although different from previous TVs. The remote is ridiculous. Very modern looking and streamlined but a puzzle to use. There are no numbers on the remote. It looked more like an Apple Remote. Curious.Fortunately, the cable remotes worked and I put the Samsung remote in the drawer. Will only use it for setup changes like brightness, timers, etc.The picture quality is very good and the advertised features work well. Have had the tv in place for two months and very satisfied with the purchase. Price was fair.

    Great TV and fairly slim

I got the 75”. The mounting holes are 8” from the top (that was hard info to find when preparing the wall mount prior to receiving the Tv). The picture looks so good when paired with a 4K player (streaming “4k” is just not the same). When playing my old WiiU it definitely looked blurry (1080p output), though I thought the Tv is supposed to have some kind of up-converting ability. The TV is not super slim but it’s not a thick as other TVs either.

    Picture quality worth the money

Bought the 50 inch t.v. It’s a decent size and picture image is realistic. Amazon is easy to order and compared same t.v at best buy here was cheaper. The Amazon delivery guy was so kind to even bring it in for me.It only had two pieces for the stand. I wish it came with the tool to screw the screws with but it didn’t. I don’t know anything about tools and the regular screwdrivers don’t work so had to take a screw and someone at Walmart help me find the tool that looks like a pocket knife to screw it. Other than that it was easy. It says it’s a two person job but I did it by myself.

Prettiest picture on any TV I’ve bought

I bought this TV to replace a 42 inch model because I wanted a bigger screen. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the picture is. You can see real depth in the scenes similar to what people use to buy 3D glasses for. I was planning on adding a sound bar however the sound from this TV is excellent, so I don’t think I will bother with the sound bar. I have no complaints at all with this set. It’s really a great TV.

A false start & poor quality remote

The first TV I received did not have a working picture. It would turn on, but had a black screen. After sending it back (thankfully they agreed to the return easily) and ordering a replacement, the second one worked great after installation, and the picture quality seems good – caveat: Im not a picture quality snob.My biggest complaint is that the remote is very underwhelming. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s very glitchy, for no apparent reason (when batteries are fully charged). It has a solar cell on the back with rechargeable batteries that I haven’t been able to figure out how to remove. It can be charged with a USB–C cord, but one wasn’t included.Overall, I’m not sure I would spend this amount of money again for this TV. It’s ok.

Great pic & sound combined with easy operation

I have a 49″ Q70 and decided to upgrade both the screen size and the series model. The picture on this Q80 is amazingly clear and sharp, and is combined with tremendous motion tracking sound that makes you feel right in the action. The Atmos sound is so realistic that it even gets my dog to bark at the door thinking someone is there during movies. This TV has Alexa built in, but for people like me who do not use that service, the onscreen menu is easy to navigate and to set up the tv both originally with HDMI inputs, and with on line services( Disney+, Discovery+) as well as day to day use. This investment in my new larger TV has been nothing but enjoyable and anybody deciding to purchase the one as well, will not go wrong. I have this set hanging on the wall with an adjustable/swivel wall bracket and it works well together. I’m now looking forward to also adding a Samsung sound bar to this TV to complete the set up.

    Impressive Television

The screen is bright and clear. A 4k broadcast looks just like you are looking out a window. This TV has plenty of HDMI inputs and even an optical jack for clean sound output. I couldn’t be more pleased. I got this television delivered to my door by FedEx loterally 1 1/2 days after I ordered it. I paid about $7 less than I would have paid for the exact same unit from Costco that I would have had to safely transport myself. Great deal delivered to your door, this is an excellent television.

    Nice TV

The 55″ TV is nice, but don’t like the solar remote. It’s a new gadget that has to be learned and not user friendly for my wife. The USB C cord needed to charge the remote is not included. Come on Samsung, you pay hundreds for a TV and you won’t include the cord. The remote from my 9-year-old Samsung works on this 2022 model so that’s how I navigate.

    Great buy

The picture does not match what was in the box. Everything is perfect except for the stand. I’m used to stands that are clean and I can pivot the TV depending on where we sit in a room. Instead what we got was a flat immobile stand that’s in the middle at the back but it doesn’t allow the TV to pivot at all

I bought this to replace an LG OLED 65″ TV in my great room. The LG was moved to another room. I can’t see any difference between the image on this TV and LG OLED. The TV’s OS is fast and responsive. I usually watch TV at night in mostly darkened room. This TV has very good dynamic range and contrast. The blacks are very black and bright colors don’t bleed into the darker sections. There is no blurring on motion.I use this with my Denon AVR through the ARC connection. The sound comes through great.

    Very Nice TV

We (my wife and I) purchased and installed this TV. It works great and looks very nice. Warning it is big. Warning, it is heavy. The TV was so heavy that it took two people to put it on its wall mount. The wall mount did not come with the TV. We purchased the wall mount separately from Amazon. The TV was not cheap, but it looks great. We have no problems with the picture quality. Note that this is a 4K TV. The TV comes with a remote that also works well.

I love this TV but it arrived with damage to the lower right corner of the screen. It looks like it may be separating. The shipping box did not show any damage but did show boot prints in the middle of the box. Since it’s a two-person job to move it or re-pack it, I’m not sure how to proceed.

    almost perfect

This tv is really high quality and looks really nice when wall mounted! It’s got lots of apps, and is pretty easy to set up with SmartThings on a Samsung Android device. The audio from the tv is also pretty crisp and clear. I can watch movies / listen to music on the Spotify app with it just fine.My only gripe is that my remote seems to not work? I’ve tried charging it via usb (the light is not red to indicate that it is charging), and I’ve tried solar power as well. The remote only works for about 5 seconds when I plug the charger into it. Then I’d have to unplug it and plug it back. My solution to this was to use the remote on the SmartThings app on the phone but this is very inconvenient.

    Beautiful TV

Dislikes: the remote works on multiple tvs. I guess Samsung knows this and doesn’t care. But my issue is that my wife and I have tvs right next to each other so I can play Xbox while she has movies streaming. The problem is that her remote activates on my TV also. Scrolling though menus, volume, source changes…. It’s irritating that one remote can’t be paired to one TV. The only way I have found to solve this is too use the “smart things” app on my phone. That sucks though we spend a grand on a TV and the remote is universal. Would be 5 stars if the remote was smarter.TV is amazing. Awesome picture. Awesome setup. Came with a plastic screen protector on for shipping.

On Screen Options Are Complicated, additional remotes need to be paired to the tv.

I Purchased the 65 inch QLED QN65Q80BAFXZA, 2022 Model. There is no “Input” button on the remote to cycle through connected devices. Selecting devices through the on-screen menu is complicated. I was able to work around this after setting up my Uverse remote, as the Uverse remote has an “Input” button that simplifies selection. I gave 4 stars as my rating for the missing button on the remote that comes with the tv. Also, I purchased an extra remote for this tv. The remote for this tv must be paired to the tv to be fully functional. A google search provided paring instructions. You press the back and the play button simultaneously, the red led light on the remote starts blinking and the tv indicates it is pairing mode, then press the speech button on the remote.

It’s got optical audio out. 2 USBs….It has no RCA hook ups at all. It has no physical buttons at all. So don’t lose the remote. The remote interferes with my Xbox Series X. Which is kinda annoying… One feature I expected is auto on. My old tv would turn itself on when you start a gaming console. I have not found that feature on this TV. I’m really missing that feature. The interface is confusing to use. Maybe it gets better when I have more time to use it…Overall 4K is awesome and I’m happy with the price. I paid around $1.1k which was my top limit. I’m happy to get a Samsung in 55″ with 120hz refresh rate at that price point.I’d buy it again but understand that there are some weird quirks.

    Brilliant colors & details

The media could not be loaded.

The remote is a bit awkward but I’m getting used to it. I like the solar feature to extend battery life. Set up was simple and easy using the Smart Things app and my Samsung account. Scanning QR codes to sign in to everything means my streaming accounts were logged into and ready to stream in under 30 minutes from plugging in the tv. Easy peasy and we love it! Replaced a 13 yr old Visio. This smart TV runs fast! Sound is nice. I’m not used to hearing bass! Had only one issue last night with the Tubi channel freezing then refusing to re-open. Restarting the tv fixed it. Casting from my computer for Zoom was flawless and easy. Casting from my tablet was also quick to connect. Both much faster and flawless compared to casting to a Roku as we did before. Loving the side by side screen feature. So far it’s meeting all our expectations and then some!

    Great size, quality, price

Have had a lot of Samsung TVs and have always been satisfied, same with this one. Good quality and price for the size. Took some fiddling with the picture settings (of which there are MANY options) to get it to look the way we prefer – out of the box, compared to our old Samsung, the picture looked a bit too high contrast, but we were able to adjust to what we wanted in about 5 minutes of playing with the options.

It’s still a nice TV but not as good as it’s predecessor

We had a Q80A that tragically met it’s demise when a toddler smacked it with a toy, we got the Q80B since it was supposed to be a year new and have better hdr. Unfortunately it’s just not as nice. It’s slower, there is blooming in the bottom of the screen and the brightness isn’t quite as high. It’s just not quite as snappy as the one we had before. We’ll be keeping it, but we are little underwhelmed with the quality considering the price tag.

I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this unit

I’ve had this thing for a week or so now and I am extremely happy with it. Picture is truly stunning, with very black blacks and gorgeous colors. And I haven’t made any adjustments. This being my first QLED it took some getting used to. The clarity of the picture makes everything look very different from any TV I’ve ever had. I watch a lot of Star Trek, and even the original series looks incredible on this thing.Sound is more than adequate with the built in speakers. The only drawback is that the Philo network is not an available built in app. But I got a cheap Roku stick and that solved that problem. The center pedestal is ideal for my situation. I have it on a cabinet, and I was able to angle it for maximum viewing which I wouldn’t have been able to do with legs on either side.I went to Best Buy to try to figure out what to get, and of course I fell in love with the new OLEDs. But this was half the price of the cheapest OLED, and I am so happy I decided to go this way instead.

Amazing Smart TV. I highly recommend!

I ordered this 55 inch Samsung Qled 80B smart tv (2022 Model) a few days ago and it arrived on the day I had requested. The Amazon delivery guys were friendly and handled the box with care. I absolutely love this tv. I am amazed by how easy it was to get it personalized and how easily I was able to sign into Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc. The tv will give you step by step instructions. It doesn’t look heavy but two people should be carrying/ lifting this tv for mounting to the wall or when putting it on a tv stand. I can’t say enough great things about the quality of the picture resolution. It just seems impeccable to me. The colors are very vibrant, especially the blue tones. (See attached pictures ) I did not purchase a soundbar and in my personal opinion the sound from the tv is strong enough. This tv comes with a user friendly remote.I do not regret buying this tv. I highly recommend it.

    Great Tv

The picture quality is always great. The TV performs with movies on a A+ level. Sound is also great. We got a great deal on it on Black Friday deals last year. Also was able to make payment plan so we didn’t have to shovel out money right before Christmas. Our old TV went out and it didn’t take very long for delivery. I would suggest Amazon to offer shorter delivery times on TV’s though. Our TV went out and we couldn’t get this TV for 5-7 days. And Amazon usually can get your items within a day or two.

    My Son Loves This TV

This TV is awesome. I get home from work at ~5 o’clock and usually mickey mouse club house is playing on this bad boy. Man does it look AMAZING. Then, right before bath time we watch Toy Story or Finding Nemo. Again, they look AMAZING. Then, once he goes to bed 8/8:30, I get to watch what I want to for about an hour before I walk the dogs and go to bed for work in the morning. 10/10 would buy again.

    Really good tv overall

I just got the 85 in QLED, and the set up was quick, and instantly connected to all of my devices without me having to do much. It comes with the Xbox game pass app so I can play 100’s of games right out the box without having to buy a new Xbox. The 60 fps, 120h, and VRR looks great while gaming on my PS5. My only issue was getting the picture setting right for watching movies, but I found out if you put it on intelligent mode you’ll get a great picture for movie viewing. Overall I am happy with my purchase, and it comes with an awesome tv stand that makes it so you won’t require an 85in entertainment center for it to be placed on.

    Better than expected

I had been looking for a new lg screen for a while. This one had my attention but was on the fence due the high price compared to other screens of the same size. Once samsung opened up the gaming hub to this TV I decided to jump on it as I was also going to buy an Xbox. That brought it to a more justified price. But beyond that the picture is amazing. Real blacks and whites. Colors are incredible as is brightness. I was also going to buy a sound bar but held off. Glad I did cause the sound is really quite good as is. Only thing I added was a skull candy crusher head set for games and movies without disturbing others. Those are great too and hooks up flawlessly. Negatives that I have experienced so far is sometimes the audio, picture are out of sink when streaming. And sometimes when playing games it gets stuck on the last controller imput so you can end up spinning in circles or something. We are a heavy gaming house and have the best internet available in the area and don’t have those issues on other tvs whether streaming or gaming on a console, so not sure if it’s a server issue or just too much bandwidth being used yet. Could also be the TV upscaleing the source to 4k if the content isn’t 4k native. TV is hardwired straight off the router. The Remote is fantastically simple. Center stand is nicely heavy if you don’t want to wall mount it and supports the tv well. But again the picture is just wow. Even watching previously watching movies is like watching it for the first time. So far no regrets.

Great picture quality and fast delivery!

My biggest deciding factor in choosing this particular model was the design of the stand. I needed it fit on my current stand and most TV’s have the feet on either end of the TV, which would have made it far to wide to fit. Only a couple had a solid metal stand in the middle of the TV. It’s been a bit since I’ve had to purchase a TV and trying to research the differences between QLED, OLED and a few others was daunting, to say the least, Ultimately, it came down to the fit on my current stand, the price and the fact I’m a fan of Samsung products and have 2 other Samsung TV’s. My only complaint would be the sound. There’s a low thumping that can be heard throughout the house usually when music is played in the background during commercials or programming beginning or endings. So I don’t hear it all of the time, but it’s annoying when I do. Other than that, I feel happy with this purchase.

Had to get the panel replaced 10 months after purchase

I’m writing this as today I had to get the screen panel replaced by Samsung. The warranty coverage says it expired in a few days so lucky me, I guess. I just can’t be in peace knowing this might happen again, I literally don’t even use it that much and one day, 10 months later, it just turned off and wouldn’t even display an image, it was as if there were small electric shocks inside the TV. From searching in Google, it seems like it’s a common issue with QLED screens. I would definitely recommend getting some type of extended warranty or insurance because, knock on wood, it might need to get fixed again and this time the cost will all be on me.

Solid all around TV, but not great for Sports

I was looking for a solid TV under $1500, and after looking into oleds and neo qleds I didn’t want to spend more than $2500 for a 75” TV. So I went with the Samsung 75” Q80B. I had this TV for a week, looks great watching 4K movies on Disney+, Amazon Prime, Netflix. At times picture looks clear and solid, but when the action picks up, it can get a little pixelated, fuzzy, but hardly noticeable. During dark sense like watching Star Wars, the picture could be hard to see, even when watching at night, but overall it’s not bad. I was using the apps to stream on the TV and also with Apple TV (2nd gen), seems the quality looked better on board TV apps. The overall TV experience was great, the TV was easy to set up, the screen is huge and bright and it sounds really good too, remote easy to use, I recommend 2 people to help hang it on a mount for install it’s very heavy for one person. I would have kept the TV but I didn’t like it when watching sports, the action was a bit too grainy and pixelated for me, I tried adjusting the settles and lowering contrast but I couldn’t get it dialed in, enough for me to just send it back and buy the next Samsung up. I upgraded to the 75” QN90B so far that TV doesn’t have these small issues, but did have to spend the extra money to satisfy my needs. I think if you need an upgrade and your on a budget the Q80B will be a nice upgrade for you, but if you have the extra cash, go with QN models. 4stars for Q80B not great for watching sports.
