So far so good
I went into a store and saw the picture of this model and instantly went to buy it online, especially for the price point and how slim the TV is. I was hesitant to buy a Samsung since my previous Samsung was terrible—delays, apps not loading properly, constantly having to power it off and on to work—but this model I am not having such issues. I have it plugged directly into the Ethernet router. I recommend for the price point, slimness, and picture. I bought the Samsung sound bar and it works perfectly together.

Hi Resesolution and Quality
Watching this SAMSUNG screen has wowed me. The in depth clarity is beyond measurement. The clarity is so good that no blurryness is noticedduring motion when watching in real time. Good investment. I own a 15 tear old plasma tv that recently failed, bought this to replace.

10 year Old Samsung remote works with this TV
Doesn’t have as many input ports as my old Samsung.I didn’t like the remote no numbers to go directly to channel. But my old Samsung remote works. So I bought old style compatible Samsung remote with numbers and it works on this TV.Good value for price.

It’s So Big!
I love Samsung Smart TVs. The clarity and sound is always superior. You’ll see how much pasty makeup TV people use! Sports and movies are spectacular. It takes time for us older folks to learn how to get full use out of a Smart TV. But it’s great considering our first TV was B&W in a huge floor cabinet.I’d opt for wall mount done by a trained person. Mine is on the stand, but the legs look precarious although they are very sturdy. Plus, hang it as it takes up too much space in any roomYou’ll become accustomed to the large screen in a few days. At first it’s overwhelming and may freak out your eyes with the bright screen and size. But you’ll adjust and wonder why you hadn’t bought already. Just wait for the sales. The only reason I bought this is I got irritated when my cats knocked over my 55″ Samsung and cracked part if the screen. So i waited til sale! This new one is about to get wall mounted! (Please don’t hang your TV over your fireplace..it’s awful!) Be sure to ask for delivery men to set up the unit. Extra delivery cost is worth it. It is cumbersome and heavy. You’ll be happy!

Good picture quality, easy to install, pretty much set up done for you if you ha e account and you can connect to your phone .if not an option for you you always can set up manually with a remote.speaking of remote ,I love that it is solar powered ,so you do not need batteries.picture quality awsome a specially when you video game.sound is good ,but sound bar would make it better .samsung tv do not need monthly memebership ,just need to connect to your home internet to enjoy samsung tv which is free,plus you can download bunch of apps on tv like : vudu,Disney plus, YouTube, netflix,spotify, prime and more…if you already have accounts with all those apps it is easy set up as well.

Vibrant colors, but the remote 😬
Really clear picture, vibrant colors. I’m not very tech savvy, but was able to set up the TV and download spectrum TV and Spotify apps on it. The remote is not the easy. For some reason, my volume button changes the channels and the volume. I ordered a replacement universal remote to use instead. So much easier than this foolish remote. It’s also such a pain in the butt to not have any numbers on a remote control. Much easier to type in a number to change your channel instead of having to scroll through 200 channels. Great TV, but confusing remote.

Bang for your buck
This is a fantastic tv for the money. Picture is crisp and vibrant, sound is perfect for such a low profile package, and the setup could not have been easier. Only complaint is that it doesn’t work with Google Assistant, which is ridiculous in today’s day and age. Only works with Alexa or Bixby. Other than that, it’s really a great value.

The remote is the worse
I have no problem with the TV, it’s nothing special, a good TV. It is the remote, it doesn’t work like a remote. It doesn’t get you to a channel you want unless you scroll thru the channel list or set up extra steps. You can’t use the ok button unless you hit it JUST right, it is too sensitive when you pick it up. I know my fingers are not working well, but this is a bad design. You just have to set it away from you, and when you use it you have to BA carefu!.

Hello Telly!
First, my new tv came a day early (YEA), it was delivered by the sweetest young man, and this 70+ year old lady had it up and working within thirty minutes. I am not sure if this smart tv took pity on me or this granny is just that cool. I do admit that the solar remote puzzled me for a minute. However after consulting you tube and watching a video, that was taken care of, too. Merry Christmas to me and my new telly. Thanks Amazon. 😁

The Samsung 43” 800 series is a nice size for a bedroom.It is Light weight and flat no border -so more picture.Easy to hang .I’m not sure the picture quality is an “A”So I need to see if that can be adjusted.

Remote Control, No manual

Amazon if you are a prime member has deluxe delivery I highly recommend for seniors. They bring it in unpacked it set it up. Took all the packaging with them. A great experience. Television is absolutely great! Highly recommend the delivery option as well as the television.

Good tv for the money, but don’t expect top of the line quality
The tv is good enough. The colors are brighter than our tv from 15-20 years ago that this replaced, but everything has a pink tinge to it no matter if I choose the “cool”, “standard”, “warm”, or “warm 2” options. I’ve played with the contrast, etc too and haven’t been able to get it completely gone. Not a big deal for us, but would prefer the skin tones of people to be more accurate in a future tv.This tv will NOT pair with our Dish hopper. I’ve tried a few different ways and it cannot find it. It does work as the PS3 remote, so that is nice. Not a huge deal for us either as Mom is used to the Dish remote and didn’t want to learn a new one. We just switch to the Samsung tv remote when we want to use the PS3 or view an USB drive on the tv.Speaking of the USB drives…they have issues. Sometimes the tv will find it, sometimes not. I’ve tried reformatting the drive, making sure the size files are in range of what the tv can handle, etc. The only thing I’ve found to fix the issue is unplug the tv and plug it back in. It is kinda cool that you can put your own pictures on the tv. We use this as a cheap “Frame TV” and have a picture on the screen. The downside is since this isn’t a proper “Frame TV” after an hour or two a screensaver comes on so the image doesn’t burn into the tv. It’s a nice saving feature, but kinda defeats the purpose of having art on it. There may be a way to turn the screen saver off but I haven’t looked.We like that the tv has all the streaming apps we use: YouTube, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc.

Great view
Don’t like the fact that each time I turn on the tv I have to connect the soundbar every time. This is automatically connected via Bluetooth & should stay that way. Not sure why I have t choose each time. Kind of a pain. Then you have to fool around with the color to get a normal setting you are used to because factory settings are odd.

Nice but sometimes buggy
The sound bar is really nice, but sometimes I have issues when using it with my Samsung TV. Recently, it was out-of-sync with the TV causing an echo forcing me to shut off the TV’s volume. This forced me to increase the volume some (vs. the same video on other TVs). Remote connection from phones is nice, but it is sticky which makes switching back to the TV a little more effort.

Terrible Remote
I like Samsung TVs, but the remote is terrible. Way too small, especially if you are elderly or vision impaired. Even people with perfect vision probably have issues using this remote. Combining the mute with the volume button was a terrible idea.

It’s ok
The reflection on the TV is pretty strong, if you have a sunny living room this TV will not work for you. Mine had about 10 dead pixels, but it’s far enough away that it’s hard to see. The TV screen seems extremely fragile. The remote requires constant charging and it’s very soft small and flimsy. Pressing one button just a little bit too hard can press other buttons by accident. It’s made for people with extremely tiny dainty hands. Sometimes pressing the volume button will launch the news channel. Overall the image quality is great. Very nice gradancy between light and dark colors. The user interface actually functions properly and lets you put apps on the TV that work correctly. So you won’t need a fire stick or Chromecast. Setting up audio is really fast and easy if you have an external system.

This is a nice “smart” TV that’s not too confusing to use, but…
Nice picture quality, and it wasn’t too hard to set up. We purchased it because we’d just subscribed to paramount plus, and it wasn’t working well with our older “dumb” TV. I don’t regret using it, but there is this frustrating thing where it occasionally stops “seeing” paramount plus, and we have to search it or even reboot the system to get that service to work again. So far the TV has been good with apple TV, netflix, Disney, and other streaming services we use. I do find it a bit klunky getting back to the “apps” screen after accessing our Xfinity service channel list to watch one of those directly.One issue is that it doesn’t seem to “see” our blu ray player when we attempt to hook it up, so we can’t access the blu ray discs we have and occasionally wish to watch. I haven’t researched this issue yet to see if there is a workaround.

Patience is a Virtue
After two days I was able to get the TV to function with my cable box to my satisfaction. Needs a better instruction manual. Overall, it is an excellent TV at a very reasonable price, just need patience to hook it up. Too many ‘agreement’ clauses to go through.

Wow – I’m sold!
We were looking for a much bigger TV to go on our wall in our family room. I was really kind of set on an LG, when I came across this TV. As I read the reviews really carefully I was worried about the remote but the TV sounded great. The TV is absolutely fantastic! I have to say that I like the remote. It is quite small but it’s nice that it will do a solar charge or you can hook it into a USB as well. You do want to keep track of the remote because it is small but I think it’s really easy to use. The TV is super clear. Some people say that they don’t think it’s very bright but I think it’s more than adequate. They also mentioned some settings that were a problem for them. Specifically an artifact setting for sports. I watch a lot of sports and I was worried about it but when I went into the detailed menu from the good gentleman who wrote about that in his review, my settings were already set to a 2. And that’s what he had suggested as well. So basically we hung it on the wall. It took about 5 minutes to set up and we were streaming happily minutes later. I couldn’t be more happy with this TV.

Good TV for the price
I bought this TV a week ago to replace my 7-year-old 50″ that started flickering and I have to say that it’s an excellent value product. For 600$, don’t expect to get the top of the top display but it’s definitely a great TV. I must admit that I got disappointed when I turned it on the first time as I was expecting a better image quality, but after playing with the settings I managed to improve it a lot and now it looks great.First of all, I don’t like the default picture mode. It looks like you are looking through a window. I prefer when my image looks like a TV image, and I got exactly that by switching to the dynamic mode. Also, the default gamma setting is way too high. I set it to the minimum and it looks much better.And the most important option to change by far is the one for this Samsung tech they call Motion Xcelerator. There is a slider in the picture quality settings called judder reduction. This option is set to 10 (maximum) by default and it’s really awful. Fast moving objects on the screen create some very bad artifacts because of this. I sincerely though my TV had a problem and was about to ship it back when I read a tech review that recommended to lower this option to 1 or 2, nothing above that otherwise it does very bad. So I found the slider and set it to 2. Problem fixed! Now the image is great without any artifacts or ghosting even during fast action scenes.Also, the contrasts are really good and I’m impress how deep the black is. I don’t know how they do that since it’s neither an OLED or a mini-LED TV and it doesn’t have any local dimming. But the black are really black without any noticeable back lightning.On the cons side, the TV is not very bright even with the brightness setting at the maximum. It’s not so a big deal for me since there is not much light in my house but think about it if your room is bright. Also, since it’s not a bright TV the HDR basically doesn’t do anything. The large angle view is also not good, but I need to watch from the far side of the room to notice it. It’s also a smart TV but it doesn’t do it very well. The interface is ok but I suspect the computer that powers it is a poor one. Everything you do is slow, you have a delay on every move you do and apps take a long time to load. Fortunately, I already had an Amazon Fire Cube and the TV detected it automatically and added it to the external devices tab. It also remembers it when I turn the TV off and on so it goes directly to my cube without the need of selecting it again, which is great.So, overall a very good TV with some caveats, but it’s definitely worth its price.

Pray Your Experience with Samsung Service Is Better Than Mine
Eighteen days ago a new Samsung television arrived…my third from Samsung in ten years, so usually I am pleased with their product.UPDATE: Samsung finally delivered a replacement tv, almost a month after it was initially ordered from Amazon. My mistake was in calling Samsung Support, thinking that I was the reason I couldn’t get it to work. Well, now 30 days later, I’m once again attaching my unit to a stand, hooking it up, and attempting to connect a soundbar. Wait, there doesn’t seem to be a Digital Optical Cable port. What gives? Maybe it’s there, somewhere. I’ll deal with Samsung Support tomorrow. Arrgh.—— But when I turned this one on, the screen offered two options, 1) the Samsung Remote, or 2) a Samsung app (which I downloaded, etc.). Trouble was, neither would start the set. So I went online, was provided a Service Ticket Number, and a couple days later a technician came to the house, tried starting it up, and reported that it wasn’t me, there really was a problem with the set. So he reported it, and via texts I was told that: a) someone would come to reclaim the non-functioning set (in 2 to 4 business days), and b) approximately a week later I would receive a replacement unit. That was 19 days ago (and counting). In the meantime, I have texted Samsung Service for hours. Their initial email included an icon that would supposedly take me directly to service when clicked, but hard to believe in 2023, that link led to “404, file not found.” And since there is no direct phone number for Samsung Service, I was forced to go through a maddening routing tree (e..g. press 1 for telephone sales, 2 for television sales, 3 for refrigerators…etc.) until I somehow got an AI Chat to direct my inquiry to what was supposed to be a human. This past week I have spent over ten hours three consecutive nights getting sympathetic rhetoric… and misinformation. Mid-week I was surprisingly provided with a UPS “trucking” (sic) number and told the new unit would be delivered the following day. So I “trucked” the package to learn it was delivered, only to some warehouse 300 miles away. Thus ensued another frustrating round with various incompetents, until one of them finally explained that the “trucking” number was for the company that will contact me (when?) to arrange to repossess the non-functional unit, and present me with a new one, which we hope will work. At this point I am still within my Amazon Return window, and if I don’t get an actual exchange date in the next two days, I will by-pass Samsung and return the non-functional set. And consider purchasing a different brand. By the way, a Google search led me to a Reddit page that shows my experience is not unique. Literally thousands of others rank Samsung Service among the worse ever. Reminds me of a Lily Tomlin routine as Ernestine the telephone operator, prior to the break-up of the Bell Telephone System: “We’re the phone company, we don’t have to care. We’re a monopoly.” Perhaps the service technicians from the Bell system are responsible for Samsung now.—-Thirty days after my initial order a new, seemingly function tv was delivered, and I am in the midst of the process of setting it up. It helps that my previous tv was also a Samsung, since many of the necessary How To items are buried in the eManual that you must view on the screen. Attached is a photo of the connection ports on the rear of the screen. They may look readily visible but understand, this is what they look like when Flash was used. Without the aid of Flash, they all blend in, dull and black. Need to reconnect a cord to different port, have fun! My previous Samsung tv had a soundbar, which I attached to this set. However, I must have done something wrong, because thus far it doesn’t appear in my Sound Options. I don’t have the patience to deal with Support today, so that will be the project for another day. But check out the helpful online page Samsung provides. Do you have a clue as to which letter of the alphabet your set might be?—BTW, the rear of my television did not have white lettering, like what is shown in the photo that Amazon has accompanying this offering. As a result, it was two days of frustrating searching before I was able to locate the Optical port for the cable. Hint: it is NOT on the side along with the others, but rather about two inches to the right of the other ports, just below an HDMI port.

Samsung for the win!
I won’t own any TV except Samsung, and this purchase just makes me even more committed. Gorgeous picture, easy to set up, and great sound even without my sound bar. And the price was phenomenal. Can’t say enough good things about this TV.

Great picture quality, smart features are pretty stupid.
Love the picture quality, great for using as a wall monitor. Smart features feels sluggish, instead im connected to a PC that i can use the smart apps directly instead. The remote got a little getting use to, but i like the fact that I can recharge the remote by using a USB cable.

A lil disappointed not Bells n Whistles
We bought the 85in for ourselves as an early Christmas present! Shipping was fast and according to plan. We also did the free delivery and unpack service! It was good and if it wasn’t free I would definitely recommend paying for it because this TV is massive !The picture is crips and colorful and the stand feet are closer together which I liked but the settings and options are really limited to basics . The sound is hollow and horrible!I definitely had to use my sound bar.That was a big disappointment! The remote is really small and black would be easy to loose and was a lil difficult to figure out! I expected more from Samsung! I have a Samsung 75” tv as well and it is loaded with options!It’s a good thing we snagged this on sale for just over $1100 because if I paid full price I probably would consider sending it back ! LolOver all it is good, just expected more from Samsung again. Best feature is the massive 85” viewing screen , which is what we all love !UPDATE We have had the tv for weeks now, we are really loving it! The sound is just ok by itself, but with a good sound bar is great! We use amazon fire stick, so you can Bluetooth it to your speaker system easy.You can also adjust your screen ratios in firestick settings as well. Over all, it is a great tv and colorful. I would still purchase it again. Not to mention the one thing I love about always buying Samsung tv’s is that you get the FREE TV over 100 Channels with Samsung tv plus straight out of the box.That has up to date live shows and news as well. That alone, you cant beat so even if you don’t have fire stick or Roku or an antenna, you still get real TV just because of Samsung TV plus. It is on your Samsung phones and tables as well just fyi. You should just purchase this tv.. its is well worth the money!

Good but not great! Not very user friendly but you get the hang of it
I just got this tv and it’s great! Very beautiful display, lovely sound.However, the problems are:* the tv can be too smart for its own good lol. You’ve gotta do so much fiddling around to get to the tv and be able to do what you need it to do. It might just be me but realizing the volume button (or rather “bar”) needed to be nudged and not pressed took me entirely too long. And then not having a “source” button on the remote to get to your HDMI or other inputs is a new concept. Instead of that, you have to assign it to your homepage for quick access!* the biggest annoyance is how slow the TV is when you input a command. It led to me spamming the remote only for it to jump. I’ve seen some users complain about that too and it’s a factor right out of the box.Overall good but not great!
