Fantastic gaming tv!
I was in the market for a tv with very low input lag and 120hz refresh rate at an affordable price. For gaming, it hit all the marks especially the input lag. I couldn’t play on my last Samsung tv because of the delay. It also has a ton of nice smart feature I’ve been missing out on like air play, Alexa, Bluetooth, and responsive smart apps. I can now turn on the tv and control it with the help of Alexa without reaching for the remote! Only downside I have is that Samsung cheap out on the speakers. My 6 year old Samsung tv sounds way better than this one which is disappointing but not a huge deal because it just means I’ll have to connect it to my Bose speaker when I use it

NOT Compatible with NFL+ App
Now that football season is here I wanted to load the NFL+ app to watch game replays. The app is not available for this TV when I do the app search. This was verified by their phone rep. So, then I figured I would cast it from my phone instead, but this TV does not show up when I try to cast from the NFL app on my phone (my other much older TVs in the house do show up and work with casting but they are smaller, and my phone does cast to this TV from my youtubeTV app so its not the phone). Then I tried to hook in my Firestick and connect through that, which is how I did it last season on my old TV. When I logged in the app gave the message that the TV is not compatible with this App. Pretty clear this is a dead end with the TV. Why would they do this? Who buys a big screen TV and doesn’t watch football with it?

Beautiful picture
What a beautiful picture this tv has!!! It is a great size and we love it! I did however have to buy a soundbar to go along with it as the sound from the tv itself was not great quality.

The TV is thin 1 inch
For a TV so thin I can’t complain about the sound. It is best to buy a sound bar to go with the TV or a surround sound. I have no problems other than what I said

Kind of Disappointed
I liked the purchase until I saw the picture and I couldn’t adjust it to my exact liking. It also blurs when there’s motion. This isn’t what I expected from Samsung. Kind of disappointed.

Quality Picture every time no glare!
We had a Samsung TV we bought two years ago and it just died all the sudden..This TV arrived just in time for Baseball series and we are extremely happy. It is like being right there.Clear picture, sound is unbelievable and slim feature keeps everything stream line.We did have to get a Tech neighbor over to get it fully set up for we did not find the instruction clear nor easy for” non tech people”.You can formulate everything into one control which is a big Plus.We have had this for over a month and no problems and a joy to turn on for shows and music! The picture is so clear I do not have to wear my glasses as much as I did for the Samsung. I am very pleases

Good picture, remote needs redesign
This TV has very good picture quality once you figure out the settings between it and your source. For me, the source is my gaming console. Had to play around a lot of what works well. The bad things about this TV are: the remote and apps. The button placements can sometimes cause you to select the wrong settings and the sources. A lot of times when I place the remote down, it would accidentally choose a TV show that I did not choose at all. In regards to the plethora of apps, I was only able to remove a few, but the rest remains and I can’t get rid of them. And in order to go to eh TV settings, I have to scroll all the way to the left to get to it because of all the apps you have to go through to get to the settings.

Beautiful picture, almost like you are there!
I really enjoy the picture quality on this tv. Remtote could be more user friendly, and the quality of the remote isn’t nearly as good as the tv, I think that Samsung needs to work on the remtotes to their tvs! Also, the remote does Not require batteries!!

Great TV for the money 💰
I never thought I would be able to see the pours in a man’s cheek. It’s almost too good of a picture but for the money it’s a great TV. I would recommend it to anyone who can afford to drop a grand on a television.

Serious upgrade
I purchased this to replace an excellent Toshiba 50″ LED. I now have a Roku useable on my main screen so I wanted to go with a nice TV because I have started to watch more. Unboxing and setup took an hour or so. Be sure you use internet connectivity and get that whole process out of the way.One note; Amazon’s specs say this screen weighs 36 pounds; product literature says 42. It is the bigger number. Two people will make things easier as you put the TV in place. After completing all of this I decided I would not wait to watch. That night I put in a movie for 90 minutes. I was suitably impressed. Picture needs more fine-tuning, but I did 2 things out of the box; set the picture mode to Movie, as even Standard seemed too bright. Then, set your color temp to Warm 2.Before I bought this, I consulted with my brother, who has 3 of these Q70 series TV’s, including the 75″ I watched. I wanted to understand what I was buying before I just jumped in, and 2.5 hours of experiencing his screen sold me. My space is smaller than his, so the 65″ I bought is plenty large. We will see how things go as time goes on. I did purchase a 4-year protection plan.I also had a little time to adjust to Samsung’s minimalist remote; it’s not terrible. But I am a Logitech Harmony user, so I took the model info and had it all set before the TV arrived. It works flawlessly. I did note that the TV is smart enough that as soon as I power it on, it defaults to HDMI 1 where my Roku is connected, and powers it on. Cool.I also have a Polk soundbar. It isn’t top of the line, but it is damn impressive for $100. I chose to connect via digital optical cable and am pleased. Right here on Amazon as well. The TV speakers are not bad, all things considered. But I was looking for more range and depth to my sound, and this delivers. I looked hard at a Yamaha too, who also make good stuff. Time will tell, and tonight I will run another movie.Lastly, I think Ambient mode is neat. It’s like a screensaver for the TV, which I like to use as a safeguard against burn-in. Be away for 20 minutes or half hour, and the screen does power off. No problem with that.

Very clunky and invasive. But good looking aside from that.
The negatives are very egregious on this TV, and it’s an old enough model now that I don’t foresee a firmware update coming anytime soon to address them.First and most importantly – the American version (only experience I have) does not let you remove Samsung Plus channels from the homescreen. I have small children that get to see scantily-clad women and LGBTQ-infused thumbnails whenever they’re just trying to get to the Playstation. I’ve uninstalled the app, but the channel thumbnails persist. And if anyone clicks one, they have the option to reinstall the app and watch the show. There is a “ratings lock” in the options, but I’ve found that it’s far too lax in it’s interpretation of what is “ok” for kids. There is a lot of this kind of thing peppered throughout most/all of the apps. Also, for some reason even if the app is uninstalled or disabled, if you’ve tried to view a channel and failed, and turn off the TV, when you turn it back on the default setting for the TV is to play the most recent thing you were in (but this time it succeeds)… even if it was uninstalled. Not sure how that’s possible, but it’s true. I had to disable the “play recent” to keep an uninstalled channel from playing as soon as the TV turns on. The stuff Samsung wants your family exposed to is baked in, and I kind of assume this is a feature in all of their products.Second, the remote is not responsive, to the point that I would call it borderline broke. I have to press all buttons extremely hard and for a long time to get it to register. Compounding that problem, the TV itself seems to be lacking in computing power because when it does register a button-press, many times it comes with a 3-4 second lag. So if you’re trying to back out one level in a menu, but aren’t sure if your button registered, so you hit it again and it exits completely out of the app, now you have to input your pin again to regain access. Which bring me conveniently to bug #3…There is no keypad on the remote. (I know. “It’s not a bug – it’s a feature.”) It makes for a very simple, clean-looking interface (which generally I prefer), but if there are kids in the room that you don’t want knowing the pin, now they all have to leave and come back after you’re finally able to laggily reinput your number with the directional buttons. Paired with the previous problem makes this an ordeal to watch anything, and it really shouldn’t be.Lastly (and I knew about this before I bought it, but it’s still a slap in the face when thrown on an already large pile of negatives) – very bad native sound. You will want a sound bar at minimum (further decreasing the value of this unit). This wasn’t so much of an issue for me, because I had already planned on having a 5.1 system anyways. But if you’re looking for an out-of-the-box experience here, you’re just not going to get it.End Thoughts:If you’re childless (or either fully trust Samsung and The Media Conglomerate for what content is best for your children to consume, or just don’t care what they’re watching), and are willing to deal with a buggy remote and UI for a bit before settling on what you’re watching, it’s a decent-looking picture with e-arc technology, at a fairly low price (relative to the extremely low value of the US dollar). I’m stuck with the TV (the devil you know…), so my wife are doing our best and I came up with a crappy system for TV-watching. Coming from an LG and their extremely flawed OLED technology but family-friendly interface… I’m realizing that there just isn’t anything good out there anymore. (I did a metric ton of research for months before buying both of those TVs)But whatever I try next, it won’t be LG or Samsung. I don’t make major purchases in my house so often that I can afford to make a costly mistake twice with the same brand. Vote with your dollars. Eventually they will miss getting paid.

Great TV
The TV was a great purchase, for sure if you can get it on a discount then go for it. I bought this as a gift for my father and 85″ is HUGE! Safe to say he is enjoying watching movies on it. Its great for a home theatre and viewing parties of 10+ people. Sound quality is pretty decent, no real need for a sound bar unless you are a sound geek. My only gripe is that the TV had a dead pixel on the top left corner on arrival. It was a pain to get this out the box already and to repackage it and ship it back for a replacement without the dead pixel would have been a pain. I contacted amazon to see if they could do a partial refund for me but they were only able to provide a refund for return. Quite sad about that but if I try not to focus on the dead pixel then I won’t notice it.

Full REVIEW 8/2022 SAMSUNG 65-Inch Class QLED Q70A Series
Ok Please be sure you read 2022 or later reviews to be fair. Samsung fixed several issues sense their fumbled firmware at it’s 2021 release.THE GREATThe picture running @ 4k 60htz is outstanding. (Please read feather several buts) and running on a source @ 4k. Super light, thin and simple to hang.THE MEH.The black screen is so bad that you see white clouds of gray, spotted all over the screen. Any show with dark scenes are super hard to see. Unless you turn up the picture settings all the way up. 1. It doesn’t look right. 2. You will be burning hot, meaning the tv would work harder and will last less years. No matter what you have to connect the tv to internet and create a Samsung account. Yes people you will not be allowed to watch anything even just cable channels without doing this. Samsung even went as far as putting a transparent greyed cover window over the whole screen with a very large splash window saying you must login to Samsung and agree to the usage terns before use. Even if you just wanted to watch cable or an hdmi input with NO INTERNET. YOU CAN’T use the tv.The stand is super UNSTABLE. If you live without children. You should be fine. But if anyone bumps it like backing in to it while vacuuming. You will most likely be buying a new one, because fall or tip overs are not covered with their warranty.HOLY HECK*****THE REMOTEFirst I will say that 5 stars for trying to take a stand on the overwhelming battery waste we all have.Having said that. I can sum it all up with one statement. How many of you stash your remote in an armrest or a chair pocket of some kind? A solar remote needs to be exposed to light of some kind. Yes you can cord charge it, But who wants a lanyard on a remote. Even just setting it down you have to lay is upside down every time. Food for thought.Remote functionality is ok, but you need a strong knowledge of how audio/video equipment work to catch on. Not mad fore a mom and dad or even grandparents.Samsung App that allows to use and navigate the tv is horrendous, terrible and down right clumsy.First the Samsung Ads (not commercials). The ads that cover any screen you are on is way to frequent. Its loaded with sponsored streaming apps. So if you download the app you do want to use. Its all the way to the right, because the sponsored streaming apps are first. There is almost 20 of them to Passover to get to the one you want to watch. You CAN NOT DELETE THEM. Even though when you first start your tv the memory ie RAM is over 3/4 full. I got two apps downloaded “Plex and Paramount+” and the browser and the Samsung app navigator are working slow as heck.Last but not least. The so called 120hz refresh rate @4k…….I know the human eye can not see over 60hz. But a higher refresh rate helps with gaming. Ghosting, screen blur and so on.There is only 1 HDMI input that has all the special features. The rest are standard hdmi inputs. So connecting a 4k 144hz capable computer, PS5 also 4k 120hz and a blue ray player. you will not be able to get thee best quality on the other inputs. Unless you buy a 4k 144hz hdmi switch box (like an A B switch” to only have 1 hdmi input.Finely connection speed! WTH it’s 2022 not 2000.I have a Gigabyte connection. I could not get the streaming apps in 4k. So I did the research and found out it has a 10/100MB internet card and not a 10/1000GB.With all these thing listed. I truly wish I had known about. I would have stuck with Sony or TCL.DO NOT BUY THIS TV OF ANY SIZE. THE FIRMWARE IS SO TERRIBLE.

Setting this TV up requires time and effort. This is not a 5 -10 minuet install. Especially if you are connecting to a cable service such as DISH.

Great Smart TV
Picture quality is superb. Would have given it a 5 star rating except every once in a while the picture freezes for a couple of seconds. The remote is also a step back from my old Comcast box remote control. The voice command only works for the Samsung installed channels. It does not work for streaming apps.

Good picture, terrible remote, bad sound.
I’ve had many Samsungs and I expected the bad sound and already had speakers. Bought a new receiver with arc and they paired perfectly. The remote works sometimes and is just a dead thing sometimes. Real pain. They are sending me another one so I’m hoping mine is defective but I think the remote is junk. Samsung makes you set up an account with them, don’t like it. Each time it starts you get a surprise screen, sometimes last thing watched, sometimes their home page, and then you try to access what you want and the remote may work or it may take you on a magical mystery tour of the tv. If you have patience and finally get to your desired show, the picture is excellent.Overall it’s a good tv, probably need an aftermarket remote and definitely need outside sound.

TV is nice. It is smarter than my last Samaung TV. Controls are fast. I have to fight the smartness a bit because I use Roku and the TV wants me to use samsung apps. Please note you defiantly need a sound bar of some time.

Awesome TV!
The TV was delivered sooner than expected. It was packaged well for shipment, and everything was received with it that should have been. When I set up the TV it had a small group of black pixels that were located in the center of the screen. This made it look like there was a fly on everyone’s face. I called Amazon and explained what the issue was. They were very helpful and arranged to have the TV picked up while they ordered a replacement. Great customer service, Amazon! The replacement also came ahead of schedule, and it’s incredible! It was easy to set up, and pair to a sound bar. Adding apps was also quick and easy. I ordered the 55” which is the perfect size for our living room. The picture quality is amazing. The TV has a thin frame (about half an inch wide) so you see almost all picture when watching. Colors are vivid and true to real life. The QLED is a bright picture and it’s almost like being there. The remote control is easy to use, and is solar charged, so no batteries. I would like to point out the problems with this TV, but so far, I can’t name any. If you’re on the fence about this purchase, go for it. You won’t be sorry.

Nice TV, lots of capability
Very well packaged and the delivery guys unpacked it and inspected it with us. This is a very nice, free service that Amazon had when we placed the order.. This is a big TV and doing that does 2 things. If its busted the shippers are right there to take it back and it certainly helps with setup. So far it has hooked up quickly with no issues. Picture is great. Has all the apps. No pixelation with a busy scene. 120hz is worth the extra $$. The only thing I dont like so far is the sound control. You can go with the TV speakers or the fiber optic but not both. My Vizio and Sony let me do both. Sometimes I don’t want to turn the surround sound on and now it is required or I have to use the TV’s speakers. Also, the remote will control the stereo sound sometimes but not always and it won’t turn it on automatically when I fire up. Again a little annoying they didn’t think of that with all the other crap they built into this thing. Definately nice picture. A little awkward to manuever in the menus and app selections. Pain in the butt to change inputs. There’s no input button on the remote. Again seems like they got crazy with capability but not practicality. The remote is solar or u can charge it with your phone charger. We have a relatively dark room and you have to remember to flip it over to the little built in solar panel. Not sure about that one yet….

A fantastic TV
I bought this tv to upgrade the 42inch Vizio in my bedroom. At the time of purchase I also got a PS5 and the Vizio just wasn’t doing the system justice. I wanted a little bit better of a display and something that would allow the PS5 to shine with the variable refresh rate. A close friend had the 65 inch version of this tv, and if space permitted that would have been the size I bought, but with the shelving already in place in my room the 55 inch gave just enough clearance and is large enough for the size of my room. The color and picture is crisp and makes anything displayed look great. I don’t use the smart features since I have always had an Apple TV and the Samsung App Store doesn’t have everything that I use. Still in all this is a fantastic TV for a decent price.

picture quality is good but the viewing angle really sucks
I did my research and read up tv reviews before I decided on this sammy instead of sony. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The TV arrived nicely packaged. Upon cutting open the box, I noticed the protecting film was missing from the screen, but did not find any visible defects. Turned it on and went through the set up process (is it just me? why the heck do I have to set up an online account in order to use my TV??!!) other than account thing, the set up was relatively smooth. It picked up my xfinity tv box and lg sound bar, and my non-brand android tv box too after some tweaking. I did not like the picture out of the box, had to adjust the color to my taste. Everything looks good except the viewing angle. I read the review saying that it is not that good(7 out of 10) but it is REALLY not good. Color is so washed out from like 40 degree angle. I would only give it maybe 5 or 6 because my older vizio tv has better viewing angle than this thing. The remote works surprisingly well. After some digging, I am able to use it to control the tv, sound bar and the android tv box, works better than my Logitech remote.

Thanks for nothing, Samsung
I will literally never purchase a Samsung product again because of the abhorrent customer service I received, but lets start with the TV itself. This TV is terrible. The “smart features” make it nearly impossible to get the actual picture you want, trying to do everything automatically, when really it just messes with your devices. The specs boast 120hz 4k, but trying to get a playstation to actually output 4k was a nightmare, which took a lot of researching which led to really just disabling all the “smart features” you can find and tricking it into accepting the right resolution, but you can forget about the refresh rate. A note for the skeptical: I’m using all hdcp 2.1 compliant cables and everything you need to make sure of, I know what I’m doing, the TV does not.The apps frequently crash, probably because there are inherent memory issues with the TV’s software. It will disconnect from the wifi and log out of services randomly, forcing you to do a hard restart of the tv (not just turning it off and back on again) then log back into everything using this cumbersome remote with no buttons you would expect from a standard remote. Very tedious. If the TV itself hadn’t wasted enough of my time, Samsung support definitely doubled down. A spider somehow managed to crawl inside the TV and get between the backlight and the LCD, where it died, and there is now a permanent spider blocking my image. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. A decent manufacturer would have this sealed, and this would not be possible. Of course, the only way to remove said spider would be to take it apart. Anyone online (it has happened to other people) will tell you that the manufacturer should cover this if it is still under warranty, which mine is, because again proper construction would never allow this type of thing to happen. When I contacted samsung was when the real pain began. First, I couldn’t register the TV. The website kept telling me the serial number I entered in was invalid, despite it being perfectly valid and verified by multiple support people afterwards. I checked the entry meticulously, so much like the TV software, website broken. Then support people wasted my time for hours while I got transferred around to different departments, because apparently none of them thought it was their responsibility. A couple of line transfers, given a different number to call, told that this was something specifically to be handled by chat support (which of course didn’t work until being told by additional support that I needed to use a different browser [than chrome?!?!]), only for chat support to give me yet another phone number, and so on… To add insult to injury, every one of these people were rude, all the while I was calm, polite, and patient, while they audibly just dgaf.I finally was able to get to a form where I could schedule a technician to come to my house. I picked one of the available dates, got an email 30 minutes later saying that date was no good and they moved it to a different day, with not even a vague suggestion of what time. Still, I was patient. After 300 reminder emails and texts about my appointment finally the day came and I got a call where the support person just says “Calling from samsung to let you know that your service window is between 4 and 6:30”. All that I could get in was “4 to 6:30?” before they said “Thank you” and HUNG UP. With no point of contact I waited around, and a couple of guys showed up late, and when I opened the door they said “samsung?” and walked in right past me… I had to insert myself to show them what the problem was, which was the only interaction I had with them. They basically ignored me while they talked to each other and waited on hold, then sent a couple pictures, and then turned around and said “sorry, we can’t do anything” and just started walking away…WTFI am appalled at the conduct of every samsung representative I delt with throughout this experience. Seriously, unbelievable. If you have any self-respect, don’t subject yourself to their BS.

AnyNet+ Woes (Also Known As CEC) ANNOYING TO USE AS COMPUTER MONITOR
If you enable CEC on this TV, you cannot utilize non-CEC devices without a huge inconvenience. The input settings will be reset every single time you try to utilize the device. It also removes the input from the home screen. For Example: I use a gaming PC with the TV, but I also use a chromecast, so I want CEC enabled. When I turn on my PC the “Detecting Devices” screen appears for about a minute until it is unable to detect my device. (Because it doesn’t have CEC) Then I have to go manually select the HDMI input. Then I have to go into the settings to enable game mode. This take 27 button clicks, but it would only take 2 clicks if it didn’t wipe the settings every single time. Bummer. Especially since this is such a great gaming monitor. The other reason for the 4 star review is the black color quality. It is not good. It is white washed in several random areas on everyone’s TVs. Look at other reviews. It looks very uneven and ugly when the screen is off or very dark. This is what you get with a QLED instead of OLED. I am still happy I picked QLED over OLED though because of the picture brightness and other monor details.

Dead Pixals
Received TV with coned dead pixels along the right and left edges. Was going to go through the hassle of returning. But decided to fix it myself. I used the felt end of a dry erase marker and with some pressure, massaged in small circles on the dead spots while the TV was on. After some effort, the dead spots activated . Good as new!

Great value for 85″
overall super happy with this TV. You must, must partner this with a sound bar or amplifier as the TV speakers themselves are just not able to deliver good sound. This TV is heave at ~ 96 lbs and it does run a bit hot sometimes. The Dolby Atmos is fantastic paired with a Samsung soundbar system. Very happy with this purchase

I was skeptical about getting this thru Amazon and not at a store but was pleasantly pleased at the delivery and ease of getting it setup. One reason I got it was for ease of use. I was able to add my U-verse program easily and have been enjoying YouTube. It has been very user friendly and I have been able to figure it out for the most part. It has a BEAUTIFUL picture and features. I went from using a grainy 10 year old tv to this 65 inch – why did I wait so long?

I love samsung TVs but does not do dolby atmos
This model of Samsung does not do true dolby atmos even with a dolby atmos system attached to it. When a dolby atmos program is on the tv it does it in dolby atmos Mat which is a compressed form of dolby atmos and if the program is in dolby digital it registers as dolby mat also a compressed form of dolby digital or dolby digital plus. So if sound is your goal then get another model samsung tvs are capable of uncompressed dolby

The picture and sound are great
We needed a new TV for our bedroom and this is just what we were looking for. We have a Samsung in our living room and wanted to stay with the brand as I like the channel line up and we are a strictly streaming household. The only part of setup that threw me for a loop was the remote. I had never had one that was rechargeable and had to be paired to the TV. So after a few minutes of not being able to get it to work I put it on a charger for an hour and came back to it well dummy me still hadn’t read the instructions and didn’t know it needed to be paired. Once I finally read the directions I was setup in no time. Love this tv

Very nice TV…..but.
This set does not quite measure up to my samsung Q80 75″. The sound quality is very poor, a sound bar is definitely needed. Great picture, but again not quite up to my Q80 in quality. With the Q70 I see pixelation that does not exist on my Q80. Spend a little more money and upgrade if you can. Still a very decent TV at an attractive price, doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Super Pleased with this TV
Bought a super new state of the art “overwhelming” LG OLED a four years ago. It WAS overwhelming and VERY VERY expensive ..but.. as time went on burn in (or ghosting) became totally insufferable. Unbelievably bad. They say OLED burn in is no longer a problem now but “burnt once shame on you burnt twice shame on me”. Never again. This TV has a better picture and is 1/3 the price of the OLED I bought half a decade ago. It’s advertised as no possibility of burn in so I’ll be a test case with the news and stock channels I watch daily. Delighted with this TV over the past month.

Excellent Television
This television is stunning. The picture makes me want to watch something on TV.I bought the 75 inch version and it fit my oddly shaped living room perfectly. It’s like it belonged there the entire time. When I had received the TV, it was delivered right into my living room and the delivery person made sure that I was happy with what I had received before leaving. I then connected it to the Internet and applied some updates before setting it up on its wall mount. I can’t say enough nice things about this TV.While I would have preferred having a few more buttons on the controller, using the software and voice control options aren’t bad. As I have another older Samsung TV, I was pleased to see that the old controller works perfectly on the new TV. That was just a nice perk.

A nice upgrade but not worth the price
We got this one (Q70A) on sale for just under $1k. It was an upgrade from an older Vizio, so the picture is stunning by comparison. However, when the screen needs to display a fully dark scene, it’s not black, or even grey, there’s a weird cloudy visage all over the screen. I actually thought it was damaged until doing some research. The native sound is also pretty terrible. I don’t expect great sound from TVs nowadays, so that’s not a huge deal to me.The cloudy black screen and bad sound would still make this a 4/5 star TV for the price we paid, but the absolutely horrendous Samsung software and/or firmware has my at the limits of my patience. The built-in advertisements on what is meant to be a premium product are the epitome of scummy. The apps and updates will also not work unless you agree to the BS terms and conditions for their privacy policy.Even after begrudgingly accepting all the notices, Samsung refused to connect to its own servers. I work in IT and I still troubleshoot this for hours. I ended up having to setup a custom DNS for the TV to use. What average user would know how to do that???To circumvent the subpar speakers, we picked up a sound bar, and it sounds great. It was working nicely for a couple of weeks, but now the TV refuses to recognize the connection. Every time we turn it on, we have to go into the sound settings and turn HDMI eARC of and then on again in order to get sound. Huge PITA. It’s pretty terrible at auto-detecting sources in general so it probably shouldn’t have been a surprise. All in all, in terms of picture performance, it looks pretty great. I mainly regret the thousand tiny paper cuts of inconvenience. The cons are not so terrible that I would go through the hassle of a return, but I don’t know if I would have gotten this TV if I knew what I was in for up front.

Overall extremely happy with this TV
I think the picture quality is extremely good. This is the first Samsung I have owned. My friend has a 65 inch and I was amazed at how lifelike the picture seemed at times. My 55 inch 120hz Vizio never looked like that with the highest quality streams. The preset picture modes are great. I like ‘natural’ and ‘dynamic’ for most viewing. The TV connects easily with bluetooth earbuds. Watching a Empire Strikes Back 4K with the earbuds is close to a theater experience.I like the way the software interface handles the inputs. It adds them to a home screen better described as a bar that appears when you press the home button on the remote. You can add the installed apps to the home bar as well so your inputs and apps are all together to scroll through instead of using a clunky input button. This does have a tv tuner for the cord cutters, but still the ATSC 1.0. One of the available apps is a Samsung TV Plus app which is equivalent to Pluto or Stirr. The tuner functionality will include the Samsung TV Plus Channels all together, which is nice. The remote is OK. I have big hands and prefer something a little larger with numbers. The remote does sync up with my Nvidia Shield when the correct settings are set on the Shield.

Garbage Remote Control
The television is great, in my opinion, but here’s the bigger picture I have (pun intended). When initially opened up the box, found the control, I was looking for the custom batteries that come with electronics. Well, it came to discover that it can be charged via solar, indoor light, or a charging cable. Come nine months later, the solar screen on the back isn’t working, and neither of the 10’s of spare cables I have in storage fit the remote control. TV keeps brining up a message yo chafe by solar, or power charge with a cable, but doesn’t tell me which type of cable to use. Finally I tried my iPhone Lightening cable, the side that plugs into the box on the wall USB-C, and it fits the controller, but nothing there is nothing to plug in the lightening end into to get some juice (electricity for a charge). So now I’ve had yo purchase a USB-C to USB-C male cable.Samsung should have provided the a cable, and power brick to charge the remote controller. This TV is like owning a Ferrari, and having no gas to drive it.

Works well but I have some peeves
Overall, the TV works as I need it to. The picture is clear and the blacks are balanced while still letting me see what’s going on.However, I do have a few things that bother me about the set:1. Can’t use any old webcam; I have to buy one I don’t have in order to use a camera.2. Remote control is disappointing. a. Volume button can only be used to mute/unmute the volume. Changing it with the included remote requires speaking into its microphone to specify a volume number. b. Channel button can only be used to bring up the TV guide. This gets in the way of browsing live channels because I can’t move to another channel until all the available channels have been queued up.3. Casting to Chromecast makes the TV automatically go into dual-screen mode. I have almost no use for that.None of this is enough to cause buyer’s remorse, especially since a universal remote I already owned takes care of many issues.

Amazing TV. SMART check. VISUAL quality check. SOUND? Buy a sound bar and call ita day
I ordered the 85 inch version and 2 days later at 6 am it was delivered. After having it professionally mounted we were off. The picture is Amazing and you can see that it’s being upscale. I watched a few 4k test videos and movie scenes on YouTube. In particular I watched the dark knight and the blacks are really good. You can make out the different shades and there was no smokey or ghosting in the blacks. The smart features are awesome. They even have an “art” setting that turns your screen into moving or still art when not in use. Or ambiance where certain vibes or moods are selected and sounds and visuals are played to relax or set the toneThe one big gripe I have is the sound. Maybe I am spoiled as I have been using a sonos surround sound for the last 2 years but the regular sound on this was several flat and not at all impressive. In my opinion yoy must get a sound bar at a minimum if yoy are going to get this TV Honestly this is true for any modern TV though as the flat screen doesn’t leave room for great speakers

Very fast delivery and a good price
Was well packed easy to set up and a great picture. Instructions were provided for setup but as it was refurbished no operating instructions. Only tricky thing is the smart remote. You can get help online. BBe sure to charge it before use.

Best tv of 2021
I was afraid that the picture quality wouldn’t be as good as my 3 year old Samsung mu8000, but this qled 70a has crisper, cleaner and more colors. I prefer the edge lit TVs more than the ones with dimming zones because you’re more likely to get a better and more accurate picture. Dimming zones require more processing and that’s more likely to change your experience to the worse. Plus the newer TVs are starting to use the cheaper IPS panels. This TVs response while changing channels is pretty responsive. I’m very satisfied with this tv. It requires some picture adjustments but it can deliver the quality of the picture you want. I’ll post the best picture adjustments when I have time.when I first got the tv, the picture was being dimmed by itself but you can turn that feature off. This feature should’ve been off from factory because it can confuse a lot of people into thinking that there’s something wrong with the TV.

awesome picture
My wife thought an 85″ TV was too big. Bigger is better I told her. The picture is unbelievably detailed. I did have to move the couch back a little. Not sure how they managed to get it here but the way it was packaged I’m sure it could have dropped off the back of a truck & not been damaged. I was looking for a surround sound system for it but the sound quality is great. Saved me $$$ not having to buy one. I love it.

Almost Perfect
Ive been a samsung only guy for a long time now. For better and for worse. Its hands down the best picture I have seen on a reasonably priced TV. I’m still not sure if I should have gone with the Q80/90 but with the difference of almost a grand, it seemed like a no brainer to go with this model for the price. I’ve only had it for one night so the honeymoon phase is still in full effect so if I change my mind, chances are I wont come back here to edit this so do with that what you will. I spent the entire night playing 4k youtube videos of birds so my girlfriends cat would lose her mind. I fell asleep that way. Quality product. Doesnt seem like the HDR feature for gaming works. I’ve never used it before so its not like I am aware of its a game changer or not. Was hoping to find out but it is what it is.

Perfect TV for everything
I always wanted a big television and this is it. I had it delivered and installed and have absolutely no regrets. I just binge watched my favorite series and loved the huge display. It’s like being right there in the scene. I don’t even have to wear my every day glasses to watch this thing! The super bowl was so much more fun watching it on this monster display. It’s got a ton of apps and functions and it walks you through every setup step by step. The coolest thing is the solar powered remote! I don’t know why nobody thought of that before. The installer was so puzzled by it., he kept looking for the batteries until I grabbed the remote. When I saw the solar panel on the back we both were amazed. No more batteries!I can’t say enough good things about this television. This is by far my best online purchase ever!

Amazing
The picture quality unbelievably realistic and HDR option makes you feel like you are actually in the TV program/show you are watching. The gaming mode also very nice and smooth with vibrant colors. It is heavier than it looks so 2 people installation is recommended. The TV remote has a solar panel which charges the remote automatically. The TV does not come with HDMI cable or charging cablefor the remote which was the only negative thing I can say about this purchase. Buy this TV or newer version if you are looking for something new with amazing picture quality.

Fantastic picture. Great price.
Delivery service was exceptional ! Had delivery set up for 9am-12pm they got here at 9:10 am and were done in a very timely fashion. Did not pick the in home set up as my son was coming by later to help with installation. Although they did offer the the service of setting up the stand etc. Without a doubt would highly recommend the delivery service provided when you purchase a large screen. Eliminate the hassle of picking it up yourself and having to struggle to get it inside. Very well packed and as long as there are 2 people should have no problems with setting it up.

Christmas Impacted – Order From Another Retail
Ordered 75″ QLED on Nov 28 which required me to schedule a delivery date and time.Given the product this made sense even if it was unfortunately limited to one single day – Dec 20th. Moved holiday events around and made the commitment.Started tracking once it was shipped through a company never heard of: CEVA (red flag 1)20th rolls around, still not contact from CEVA confirming delivery, 20th passes by.Spend the next 3 days attempting to contact CEVA as their tracking simply says it is static at their distribution center.Contact AMAZON on the 23rd, they ask that I wait longer till the 27th AFTER Xmas. This gift is not going to be available to its recipient. Joy.27th rolls by, no TV. Repeated attempts to CEVA result in no response or being disconnected thru their support. AMAZON recontacted and advised of the situation – upon being asked to ‘just wait longer’ I refused and requested a refund. Refund issued and told to ignore any return packing labels that I ‘might receive via mail.’Fast forward to Jan 3rd and I receive a sudden notification from CEVA my TV is out for delivery. News flash: It did not show up.On Jan 7th, I receive a notification from AMAZON that my TV was shipped on the 3rd and that the TV would need to be returned AT MY COST (??????) or my card would be charged in full. Note: Still no TV.Yesterday, Jan 8th, the TV mysteriously shows up on my door step – no contact, no knock, nothing but a shadow from the front door panel windows giving me the indication that something is there – a $1400 electronic just left leaning against the door.Spare yourself this experience. It is absurd that there was such a delay in delivery, ridiculous that contact was impossible after continued delay, and the complete disconnect between AMAZON-Shipping resulting false communications leading to their expectation for the customer that has been displaced to pay for the return costs?I would give this zero stars if I could and for the first time in a decade contemplating continuing transactions with AMAZON given the increased availability of remote shopping thru competitors.
