If you get the refurb, it’ll be an old model. Also wifi is weak on old refurbs.

I already owned a 55″ for another property, and wanted to get the 43″ for my home office. Decided to cheap out and get the refurb. Unfortunately, that meant that I ended up with a specimen that was at least two years old (2021), with software that is inferior to the 2023 models. After several software updates, it still runs the weird old software.Wifi connectivity has been really spotty, so I’m just going to Ethernet it instead and hope for a better experience.Other than that, the panel itself makes a beautiful picture.

    Looks great

We bought the 65″ for a ship-lapped mantle/gas fireplace. It looks fantastic. We’ve used it for two primary purposes so far – art mode and Disney+ – and it has excelled at both of those things. We’ve had three or four people say “wow that’s a beautiful painting” or “is that painting backlit” and they’re shocked when we point out that it’s actually a TV. While the kids are watching Disney movies, I’ve been turning lights on/off, moving around the room, etc. to get a feel for the viewing angles. So far, the only time there’s been any glare is with super bright lights (our Christmas tree had bright white LEDs), but only at extreme side angles. From straight-on, both standing and at couch-height, there is little-to-no glare regardless of the environment.I can see why some reviewers don’t like the one-box technology. I don’t like it, either, but it isn’t a big enough deal for me to take a star. With the way we set our TV up over the mantle, I’d be pretty upset about this mandatory box *if* the cord wasn’t long enough for us to mount the box a few feet to the side, on a bookshelf, where you really don’t notice it. If Samsung is going to stick with the one-box idea, what I would suggest is multiple lengths of cable so people have more flexibility in where they put the receiver. Even though ours is out of the way, I’d still actually prefer to move it over another 4ish feet, but I have it sitting as far as the cable allows.Setup was as easy as I’ve ever experienced with a tv/wall mount. The TV itself makes wifi connection and app login very easy, but that’s par for the course with smart TVs these days. The wall mount is where it really shines. Hanging this thing on the included thin mount (or flat mount, whatever it’s called) was a breeze. The template makes it all very easy – we didn’t even take the template down, we just drilled thru the paper and mounted the brackets over it. The whole process for sure took less than 10 minutes. The only real con is one everyone probably expects when they buy this: the speakers are…acceptable. But, if you’re buying a super-thin tv, you likely already know that speaker size is one of the things you have to give up. That said, the speakers get the job done for basic use (kids movies), but if you’re a cinephile like myself, or a music nerd like my wife, you’ll absolutely need to connect some kind of audio device to this. I tried watching the new James Bond on this and just gave up (but didn’t mind the poor quality audio when I watched some old Home Improvement episodes). We tried some music, but the Echo + Echo sub we have setup are, of course, far superior. Adding a soundbar or something to this wouldn’t be a big deal…if it weren’t for the fact that the box is sitting multiple feet away. So now I’ll either be stuck with bad sound, or will have to run a cable that is 100% going to stick out like a sore thumb. Again, not enough for me to dock a star because I went into this expecting mediocre audio quality, at best, and that’s about where this thing lands.

    I LOVE this tv!

I had a 17 year old 42″ Panasonic flat screen television that I had been threatening to replace for years, so when this set went on sale on Prime day, I jumped on it. I was not aware of the “Frame TV” concept, even though it had been out for years, but I admit that it was the biggest selling point for buying this set. Who wouldn’t want a TV that turned into wall art when it was turned off?My old TV was hung above the fireplace, so I had a limited amount of space available for the new set. I decided on the 50 inch, and now, in hindsight, I probably could have gone a little bigger, but I didn’t want the new tv to overwhelm the room. We removed the old set (which weighed a ton, and took two people) and took down the old bracket so we had a clean wall to work with. All of the old wires to the Panasonic were hidden inside the wall, and I was hoping we could use the same pathway for the new tv. We couldn’t. The cord going from the One Box (which powers the tv) to the set has rather large connectors on each end which would not fit inside the conduit inside the wall. So, our wires would have to be run in a wire mold (my only dislike). The hanging bracket for the tv is split, which is kind of a pain, but there is a template you can use and if you are lucky, you can hit a stud on each side. Not that you would need it, because this tv is so light that you can use toggle bolts to hang it and it would be just fine. Once the brackets are on the wall, and you install two clips on the back side of the set, you lift if up and “hang” it just like a picture. Easy peasy. The set itself looks just like a very large picture frame when the tv is off. It comes pre-loaded with a few pieces of artwork, and the offer to buy into a Samsung app that gives you access to lots more artwork. You also have the option to load your own photos onto the One Box, which is what I did. I have loaded over 100 photos so far, they all look stunning on the tv. You can also choose to individualize each photo’s mat size and color, and set up either a solitary photo or a slide show with several different time intervals. Now, for the tv picture. Did I say “stunning”? Yes, I did. The new 4K has amazing color and picture clarity. It looks pretty darn close to 3D, if you ask me. My husband walks into the room when I am watching tv, stands there for a moment watching, and always says, “What a great picture”! I couldn’t agree more. All in all, I have almost no complaints about this television. My only one is that I still need my DirecTV remote to access certain features that you can’t control with the Samsung remote, but that’s just being picky. Can you tell I really LOVE this television? Yes, I think you can.

TV GOES ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN

55 inch 2021 model samsung frame tv, wall mounted, wifi connected with no HDMIs on box in use – worked great for 6 months then started going on and off on its own with increasing frequency – very frustrating to be watching and suddenly the screen goes black, the one connect box clicks, the tv reloads but not to the same show – will watch for approximately 10 minutes then turns on and off every minute or turns on and off within first few minutes of use – tried usual trouble shooting like turning unit on and off, then unplugging entirely, wait a few minutes then plug back on, using different electrical outlets, making sure remote is charged, connect box is unobstructed, etc – also the tv seems to be overheating as its very warm along the bottom – its wall mounted according to installation instructions, so I created some air flow behind the tv but that didnt help- I stream so not connected to cable or dish – sometimes it “blamed” the network connection but when I checked the connection was fine and my other tv (roku) does not have this problem – called Amazon product support (very nice person) who connected me with a Samsung tech – after +1 hr of dealing with an obviously foreign person named “Paul” (eg didn’t understand zip code format in US or where Melbourne, Florida is relative to Las Vegas, NV) – he even asked me to replace the remote battery – hello its a sealed, rechargeable lithium battery on this model – plus seemed dyslectic as kept switching/transposing numbers eg I said 709 and he said back 079 and I had to correct the serial number, my address etc several times – he didn’t want to “dial into” the tv via “remote management” and attempt a fix – why have this option at all ?- so now I am going to have to wait up to 2 business days for a “Samsung” tech (actually USSI United Service Source) from Florida to contact me and I live in Nevada – still under warranty – looks like Samsung contracts out their service calls to USSI which subcontracts it out again if there is no local agent – also USSI is not even BBB accredited so I am not hopeful – I was told by “Paul” if first USSI subcontractor cant remedy then they call in another USSI tech for 2nd opinion – only then would they consider replacement – and that’s only if they can’t blame it on customer damage, noncompliance, error, etc in which case I would be charged for the repair – seriously – no way am I the problem – I set it up according to instructions and have not dropped it or anything like that and have good tech skills I think – sad, sad experience with this TV which I really had high hopes for – I will update the “repair” experience – when I googled this problem for my model it seems that I am not the only one who is having exactly the same issue – it appears to me that samsung doesn’t stand behind their products and makes the customer jump through all sorts of frustrating hoops before resolution if that even happens – all I can say at this point is arghhhhhupdate: USSI contacted me within 24 hrs by email – I had to call in to get tech visit – on hold for 17 minutes for agent who told me it would take 10 business days to get the parts and then the tech would call to make an appointment to visit – that’s another 2 weeks with no useable tv – so I asked the agent if they know which parts to order then this must be a common problem with this tv – she answered in the affirmative – omg Samsung knows this model is a dud and they are still selling it on Amazon – that’s just not right – arghhhhhUPDATE OCT 30, 2022 – pleasantly surprised with Samsung repair service – the locally contracted tech arrived as predicted on 10/6/22 and installed 5 new components including a new mother board both in the monitor and connect box plus a new cable – it took about an hour – so after 3 weeks of use the tv is working as it’s supposed to – the monitor and box are no longer over heating and the tv is not turning on and off by itself – the original equipment started failing at about 6 months and got gradually worse as i described above so hopefully the same thing won’t happen as the tv is now past the 1 year warranty and I am not sure if the new components are under their own warranty – i’ll try and update in 6-12 months to let you know if any problems reoccur -BOTTOM LINE – IMHO i’d still be wary of this model – it does have a low profile hanging on the wall but to me the art component is not worth it – you have to pay a monthly subscription to access most of the curated displays – I go to youtube and get continuous hours of similar art for free with brief ads at the very beginning only and optional music – the display quality on YT is fine for me – i didn’t try uploading my own photographs, art to display which is a feature of this tv so can’t comment there

Beautiful TV with a lot of flaws

CONS:1. It’s an Alexa enabled TV that Alexa can’t communicate with. If you’re paying $1000++ for an Echo-compatible TV, the least you should be able to do is say “Alexa, open Netflix” and have it work. It doesn’t. I’ve tried so many troubleshooting tips, deleted and re-added devices, disabled and re-enabled skills. This is SUPER ANNOYING.2. Worst con, most frustrating: It’s glitchy with AppleTV. You can tell it’s clearly a software issue. Sound goes out completely if you’re playing a Netflix series and it goes to the next episode, or sometimes just when you select a show or movie. Disney+, HBO, Netflix… all of the AppleTV apps when I use the HDMI connected device. The sound WORKS, just not for the programming (again, this is on a connected Apple TV device). I bought new 4K HDMI cables, set up a Samsung sound bar, the works. Couldn’t get it fixed. I ended up using the built-in TV apps, which is annoying because…3. The jump back/forward a few seconds option on the Samsung remote only lets you jump by 1 minute? This might be my fault for not troubleshooting more (in my defense, no TV should require THIS MUCH troubleshooting), but the FF/Rewind options on the remote are heinous.PROS:1. It’s pretty. The art feature is why I bought this. In that regard, it does its job.2. Picture is great. Might be because this is my first 4K TV, but it’s lovely to me.3. The remote is solar-powered and charges in the sunlight indoors. Pretty cool.At the end of the day, you’re paying for the art feature/design, and there’s no real competitor in this respect, so you get price gouged. The functionality is extremely lackluster and if this were just a ‘normal’ TV, I’d have returned it a week after buying it. Alas, there’s no replacement for how much nicer this looks on the wall, unfortunately. So it stays!Samsung, if you’re reading this, wtf. Please fix these software/firmware issues!Do with this information what you will!

Not all configurations are on the menu

Pictures is great works great (I use this TV for my computer monitor) everything is configured from the remote! The HDMI Computer configuration is hidden. (Why is it not a visual option on the menu! had to call Samsung. WHY???I would like to attach a sound bar in the future Once again; I do not see a menu option! It would have been nice to have either ALL the options show up on the screen or written instructions.

    So happy we got this!

I really love the frame TVs. My husband was able to install this on his own. We did purchase an adapter to hide the wire behind the wall but the wire isn’t very visible and is designed to lay flat regardless. You really do need a good frame to get the full experience so it’s a big investment. I hope it lasts a long long time. We’ve had it about a year now and no issues so far☺️(Black frame is 65in, pearl frame 43in)

Great TV… mounting screws not meant for wood

First off, LOVE the TV – sleek remote and very well integrated with smart features (especially controlling the Fire Stick and Alexa). The Art mode is great, though the “free” art that is included is very limited. You can supplement with your own artwork, though ensure you get correctly sized and hi-res images to view properly on the screen.A few things I don’t like, and one thing I think is terrible:The new “One Connect” takes a sleek TV and pairs it with a giant box. Makes the wall nice and clean, but then that means you need to use a table beneath the TV rather than routing cables and hiding things well. This could be a blessing in disguise, however as swapping inputs and setting up different connected devices is much more accessible than on the back of a mounted TV.TV came with a mount – cool. The mount is very sturdy and forgiving with leveling (you can easily adjust it) – great. There are nice templates for picking your screen size and finding your studs – awesome. But the screws that are included do NOT do well going into wood/studs. I put all 225lbs of me up against these screws and they stalled, stripped, and made for a difficult install. I did have some actual wood screws that would suffice as replacement, and they ran into the wood like intended. I think these mounting screws are just not correct for their purpose, which is a shame. All said and done, the TV is well worth the splurge for what will be a very future-proof and quality item, much like my last Samsung TV which has lasted me 10 yrs.

Not for everyone- and that’s okay.

Okay so FIRST the mounting process is a… PROCESS. the included template is helpful but the line in the middle of the template is NOT center. Be glad I saved you that headache. The other thing you need to know is the additional OEM frames are a bit of a nightmare. I was able to score the tv + frame for $999 together on Black Friday and I’m so glad I did because paying $150~ ish dollars for the plastic frames is really annoying when you discover that the poor packaging design means they arrive broken!! Go look at the reviews for the optional Samsung frames. If you’re patient and deal with the returns and reorder until it’s right it will work out but you’ve been warned okay?Alright all that aside the TV is gorgeous. I’m so happy with it. Picture quality is good my only complaint is that the screen should be more anti-reflective. It’s not as reflective as straight glass but with any lamps or windows you might be annoyed by the glare If you’re a design snob/observant enough in the first place to be looking at this tv. Regardless of the glare and the stupid overpriced bezels (which IMO are completely necessary if you want this tv since the whole point is to look like a frame) I would still repurchase because it’s just stunning to look at.Also the art subscription- just don’t.There’s not enough art to warrant $5 a month and you can upload your own pictures (of artwork that you can find on google for FREE) to the TV via the smart things app. They’ve shorted the free subscription to ONE month with a new tv purchase and it’s still not worth it. Just google your favorite art, save it in a high quality resolution and voilà.

The most beautiful TV on the market

Once I hid the cord (which you obviously don’t need to do), the tv became art and you couldn’t tell that it was an electronic. The art mode is absolutely amazing. No other tv does that—it stays on and if you pick to display something that is actually painted or shows texture, it looks so real. The mat board is crisp and clean and I can’t say enough to truly encompass how special this tv is. I attempted to use another tv at first in its art mode equivalent feature and it was just a screensaver than constantly changed—nothing like this. When The Frame is turned off, the art mode turns on. There’s no chance for burnout and the art store is really great. If you do decide to use your own photos, make sure they’re in the 16:9 format so they fit well.I also got the white bezel attachment so it looked even more like a framed piece of art. I do wish there were some more ornate options, but as there’s literally no other option on the market like this tv, I’ll take the few color options they do have.Don’t sleep on getting this TV. You WILL NEVER REGRET IT.(Pic with desk and chair is the final setup… the others were trial runs… hide the cord—it’ll really make the whole thing worth it)

Arrived early and installed in an hour.

Arrived two days early! So amazing.Samsung is always a bit out there with their instructions but if you can let go a little bit, you’ll figure it out. I imagine the setup is a bit challenging for some who need simple directions in english words but the instructions got us there. Good luck. It’s incredible if you dare. Cant wait to get a new frame for it.

    Great idea with disappointing results…

If you are looking for a TV that will disguise itself as art , the frame is currently your only option. It is too bad that this option falls short. The Samsung Frame succeeds in a very thin profile and the ability to add snap on frames (although they are limited and expensive). It fails in every other way. One key feature is the ability to select what art you want to display. The subscription service is too expensive, and the app that lets you upload your own art is infuriatingly difficult and buggy. Anther key feature is the ability for the TV to adjust the brightness to the room’s light level so that your “art” doesn’t appear to be simply a monitor with a pretty picture. Unfortunately, the TV simply does not adjust properly and cannot go dim enough for low light conditions. This 2021 model’s screen is too reflective, however, apparently the 2022 model has a more matt like surface. As far as the picture quality, it is acceptable, but not outstanding. If you can get the 2022 model at a reduced price and you really don’t want to see a big black screen in your room, then I would recommend this TV with hesitation. For everyone else, wait for a better option to appear.

Great looking TV with some unfortunate glitches

This is a great-looking TV, but unfortunately the Art Mode was giving me a lot of problems at first. To begin with, the “SmartThings” app that you need to use to set up Art Mode is an absolute piece of junk. After a lot of frustration with it, I was finally able to get the Frame TV to display artwork. However, when I would turn it on it wouldn’t display the art more than a minute or two before shutting off. I turned it back on, it shut off, over and over. I was pacing back and forth in front of the TV, so it shouldn’t have been because of the motion sensor. After going through this 8 or 10 times, it would finally start working the way it should and would stay on. After a lot of research, I found that the Night Mode function was not working correctly, and was causing the problem. After turning Night Mode off, it’s working okay now. I guess I can live without Night Mode. The picture quality is great and it looks amazing on my wall (with a ridiculously expensive bezel sold separately). I deducted one point for the glitchy Art Mode / Night Mode.

    The artwork feature is problematic.

We’ve had this for a couple of months now. This works fine as a larger TV. We didn’t want a big black ‘hole’ in the family room wall so we went with this TV hoping the artwork mode would help it blend it.The thin TV with the remote mounted electronic package helps a lot in making it blend in. The shiny screen detracts from this. The artwork mode initially worked with it going to sleep after several hours then waking with motion in the room. Then it stopped waking up. Nothing we did helped, nor did the help guides. After spending over an hour on the phone with tech support basically going through the same steps again, we were advised to reset the TV to factory defaults. I reluctantly did so.Setting up the TV again wasn’t as bad as out of the box, but it was still very time consuming. After a total of maybe 2 hours (phone time + a 2nd setup) the art mode again worked as described. Now maybe a month later it’s worse than ever. Last evening I put the TV in art mode and within 10 minutes the TV went to sleep. Motion wouldn’t wake it up. Only hitting the power button on the control brings it back. Very frustrating. Sounds like another long call to tech support…but no resetting to defaults again for me!Otherwise I like the TV just fine.

Great except for the remote control

This is a beautiful TV. I love everything about it except for the remote, which works like no other remote you’ve ever used. Controls are hidden behind other controls in places you would probably never think of. For example, to MUTE you have to press the volume + (increase volume) in a special way, and if you do it wrong, you turn up that ad you didn’t want to hear instead of muting it. Sure, it looks great, but I’m fairly computer/remote savvy and it took me several hours to figure it out. It definitely needs to be redesigned for people who want to use it rather than admire its minimalism.

    simply awesome

+ the TV itself is the same as any other low price QLED (really good for the money)+ the remote is classic Samsung new TV remote and is really super nice even for 6yo+ it comes with easy to install wall mount which s perfect if you want to keep the TV flat in the wall (no tilt)+/- the extra frames are pricy but if you are OK with black frame, you don’t need them+ the art image quality is really excellent (turns itself off in the evening), basically set it and forget it- the sound is pretty bad, but I honestly care less in kids room- there is really limited number of free arts, I refuse to pay monthly $$$- custom photo upload is clunky and you have to really upload the exact resolution to make it look nice- the power box which comes with it (all HDMI etc cables plug into a single box which then has a thin wire to TV) is probably 2x bigger than needs to be (why it is such a honk is beyond me) – it does not fit into my drawer

I’ve had this frame tv for just over a week and love everything about it – how it looks on the wall, sharpness of picture, sound, framed picture selection. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a tv but, so far, well worth it!

    Beautiful Picture but Terrible Mount

As many say, this model comes with a slim mount. Conceptually, once you take a minute to look at everything the mount makes sense. It is hard to believe the tv will mount on just two little brackets, but it does. What is most frustrating about it is the fact that the mount is not 16 inches on center. This is the most standard spacing for studs, and Samsung seems to completely disregard that fact. I ended up mounting into drywall, with the anchors provided (not sure if the anchors are drywall anchors though), and so far it is holding. I would not do this with a larger model though. Also frustrating is the pictures only instruction sheet. There are too many different mounts out there, so it is hard finding a video of the process, so having better instructions is key. With all that said, the picture is beautiful. Wish it came with a few more free photos, but I went ahead and got the subscription, and the number of options seems to be limitless.

    Samsung Frame 55” letdown

Bought just over 2yrs ago, it’s been hanging on the wall via supplied Samsung wall mounts. Within a year the tv’s reaction time when flipping through options and apps had slowed down quite a bit. The internet connection constantly says “connected to internet, no signal”, gotta unplug tv to reset it (this is once or twice a day). The worst thing that’s happened is the screen lighting started malfunctioning a few weeks ago. Half the screen was normal, half was much darker and discolored. Within the the last two days it’s gotten ridiculous, the darker side is beginning to flicker. Long story short, this thing is coming off the wall and we’re getting away from Samsung. Such a let down from what started as a state of the art tv. We have a Samsung washer/dryer too, same kinda bugs and issues. Peace out Samsung.

    Good but not great

Really love the art display function. The light sensor to turn on or off the picture display does not work perfectly. Sometime when sun light goes through window creates shadows near the sensor location it would turn off picture showing on the TV, I guess. As I noticed couples of times my TV turned on and off picture showing in front of me in a sunny day I am confused it caused by product defects or bad design? As a TV the sound is not very good. We could not figure out how to connect the TV to our House sound system via DENON. The TV set up is not easy. It took us a lot time and efforts to hang this 85inch TV on wall. So basically it is impossible to take it down and return. I won’t recommend it to who watch TV a lot.

It makes an annoying “crackling” sound…

I got my mom the 2019 version of the 55″ Samsung Frame and I loved it. I decided to upgrade my own 10 year old TV this year and wanted a Frame as well.My wife and I have been hearing the most annoying “crackling” sound coming from the display itself (not audio). We watch TV with the sound low as we live in a small house and don’t want to wake our daughter and the “crackling” sound is SUPER annoying as it’s just as loud as our volume setting (usually like 5 or 6).I google searched it and found this is a problem with some Samsung Frame TV’s and others have been complaining about it. My moms 55″ Frame from 2019 does not have this issue.Other cons are:- Programmed with Samsung TV plus, we had to uninstall it on day 1 so the TV didn’t start playing as soon as we turn it on and wake our daughter, it auto plays with volume…SUPER annoying when your deciding what to watch.- so much unnecessary stuff when we turn on the TV and the interface is not user friendly, I only want to see the apps we use, not ads and stuff.- Not flush mount. The 2019 Frame I bought for my mom only has a gap of 2-3 millimeters behind it (1/8″), ours is 15 millimeters (1/2″+).- Remote buttons – visually, I wish it didn’t have Netflix/Prime/SamsungTV+ buttons. It just looks tacky and is unnecessary. If it had: Hulu, HBO, Showtime etc. I could deal with the aesthetics as the function would be there, but to limit to 3 options, 2 of which I’ll never use is polarizing for me. Just make it look nice since I have to look at it daily.- Lastly, we connect Nintendo Switch to it, super annoying that after we turn off the Switch it says “no input” from it and have to manually hit the “home” button, wish it just went back to the home menu and saved me a stepNot really sure what to do as we installed it on the wall and love the look/quality but I’m not sure we can live with the “crackling” sound. Would give it 5 stars if it had no crackling sound and no “auto-play” Samsung TV+ as the other “cons” I mentioned are outweighed by the design and picture quality.

    Lovely focal point

Pros:-great picture-“built in” sound is good-there are so many customizable options to make this a great focal point to any room or gallery wall-easy to hang up-the art: you can choose from a variety of complimentary art works, can purchase a subscription to more, or use your own photos-the remote is great and doesn’t need to be pointed at the tv (bluetooth); it charges with solar powerCons:-wireless internet connectivity constantly blips, and it’s not my provider’s fault (all other devices work fine at the same time.) it was cutting off about every 30 minutes and taking 4-5 to reconnect. we wired it up, and there are no more connectivity issues.-there aren’t that many apps yet. the basics are there – netflix, hulu, disney, etc. but things like individual channels have yet to make it to the list. you’ll need roku or amazon fire to get those for now.-extra frames are super expensive! you can definitely hang it out of the box and it looks nice, but if you want those extra “pretty” frames, get ready to shell out another $500 (from third-party sellers)Summary:if you’re looking for a good deal, this isn’t it. it’s a great TV, but you can get much more bang for your buck. i purchased it because i wanted a “pretty” tv for my wall, and it delivers on that point and meets the rest of my needs.

FRAME! (what’s your name, what’s your name)

Speaking of David, the sound on this is surprisingly great! I know I could get a sound bar, but eh. No buzzing or crackling. As for the installation, yikes. That was awkward. Everything was straight forward, don’t get me wrong, but those little hangers kept snapping flat. ‘Twas a bit of a nightmare. Other than that experience I never wish to repeat the Frame is great. Love the remote and the use of solar on it. So far haven’t plugged it in once. Just set it on its little basking spot and you are good to go. As for the anti glare, this ain’t it. Also lots of irregularities in the lighting. Dark spots on a white screen and light spots on a dark screen. It’s noticeable. You may think it was due to my nightmare of an installation! But it was like that when I turned it all on to make sure it worked before going through all that mess. So things are a bit splotchy. Also, the tape that was used on the screen left some gnarly residue. Thankfully I know someone who knows how to safely remove that sticky stripe, but it was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately the line still remains.

Wow…real USEFUL practical innovation in a TV

Upon hanging this TV on the wall and seeing how better it looks than any other “normal” HDTV, I thought, “why the heck isn’t this the standard for all TVs?”What Samsung has done is so simple it is brilliant. They moved all the components associated with inputs/power to a separate standalone “box”. This does 2 awesome things. #1 – the TV can lay much more flush to the wall. #2 – now there is ONE cord running from TV to the box that you route behind the wall that covers all power and inputs. Then any inputs you want to add to the TV just plug into the box – cable cord, Ethernet cable, ps4, whatever. This way in the future – you need to add something…just access the box you have hidden (under furniture or whatever) and no need to take the tv off the wall to plug something in. The last nice feature – the wall mount system is integrated into the back of TV – so it is perfectly clean and slim as possible. This all seems so simple and so obvious to do…sometimes the most brilliant ideas look obvious in hindsight.Lastly…the “picture” idea is great. When the TV is off…instead of having a big black rectangle on your wall, you have a legit picture of your choice (art or whatever). Great idea! Why not. Make use of this space in a beautiful way instead of just having a dumb black screen consuming the wall? Again…so simple it is brilliant.Nicely done Samsung…all innovation doesn’t have to be about higher resolutions…this is such a practical improvement in TVs…love it.

    Worst TV Operating System

Let me start by saying this is a fantastic display. But the TV is fragile. I loved the fact that the majority of the electronics were separated from the display. The biggest point of failure is the power supply. Since the brain isn’t attached to the display, repair would be a piece of cake! But since the frame is just a display, it is extremely fragile. The first one I received, the box had the smallest of dents on the corner and the frame separated from the display resulting in a blank picture. The replacement from Amazon arrived in perfect working order though! The Tizen OS on the TV is way too slow and a pain to use. Easily addressed by getting a Fire TV / ChromeCast / Roku stick. What’s not, the sleep function. I always turn on the sleep function because sometimes I fall asleep with the TV on, and I like that it will turn off if it detects it’s not in use. Not the sleep function on The Frame. You can configure the Fire TV stick so that every time you hit the home button it forces the TV to power on and switch to its input. This has no affect on the sleep timer. What’s worse, it is random whether the TV will decide to alert you it’s about to turn off due to the timer. Sometimes you’ll get the alert the TV is about to turn off and let you cancel the timer. More often than not, it just completely shuts itself off without warning. This is fine, this can all be fixed in firmware updates. A year later, all the issues are still there. The art mode. It replaces the power button and uses the same signal. You have to press and hold the art mode button to force the TV off. Useless when using the power function on a universal remote like the one built into the FireTV (though I suppose this is also on Amazon for not adapting). There should have been a separate remote code to put the TV into art mode instead of being lazy and reusing the power code. The OS on this TV has given me the biggest headache out of any TV I’ve ever owned. Coming on two years later and all the same issues are still there. Circling back to how fragile the display is, my frame was hit causing a huge crack killing a good portion of the display. I’ve never been so glad to have an excuse to replace a TV and have no desire to get another Samsung TV just because of how frustrating this TV was.

Quality, Ease of Use, Long Term Use

We have been wanting this 65″ Frame TV for nearly a near. When we noticed the 2021 version was released, we splurged and made the purchase. I have yet to find a any issues with this TV. Picture quality of this TV is remarkable. Remote control powers on both a USB to C cable (not included) and on the back side of the remote it has a small solar panel. We would normally leave installing wall mounted TV’s to professionals. However after watching a few YouTube videos of installation of the 2021 version of the Frame TV, it was quite easy. Samsung included a easy to use mounting frame template which you can use based on the size of your TV. We spent a little extra time making sure it was accurate along with measuring on the wall. The majority of time (75%) was spent hiding the fiber optic cable which comes with the TV. We already had cables inside the wall that led up into the attic and down into a closet which already has an electrical outlet. This allows us to hide the one connect box as well as the power cable. Once the fiber optic cable run was completed, the wall mount install was easy. Install to your home wifi and quick connect to Prime was simple. Also Samsung TV content has a great list of programming. One last item. We don’t have cable TV, but have an HD antenna that worked poorly on our two year old LG TV. When we installed the HD antenna to coaxial on the back of the quick connect and had all of the local TV stations in HD. No need for cable TV.

Nice 32″ TV but some catches

Fantastic picture and the art mode is great, but realized immediately after purchasing that the 32″ version wasn’t UHD, which is only the 43″+ models. I read on the Samsung’s site that the 32″ model also doesn’t have the motion sensor like the larger models. On the plus side, the 32″ is 1″ thick compared to the 2″ thickness of the larger, UHD models. Almost returned due to not being UHD for the price, but the picture quality was outstanding, even compared to my other UHD TVs in the house.Biggest issue was mounting into hollow wallboard (drywall). Should of tossed the supplied drywall anchors that come with the TV-they look robust, but failed when installing the no-gap mounts (I used the 1/8″ drill bit to pre-drill the holes as noted in the directions). I had to install larger anchors to fit in the damaged holes (which require larger screws). The screw heads for the larger anchors protrude further out than the wall-mounted bracket and wont allow the hardware that screws into back of TV to slide into the wall-mounted bracket’s slot. Heading back to the hardware store to find larger screws with a flat head. Also, the 32″ one connect box measures 8.25″ wide. I was having trouble finding a recessed AV box that would fit the One Connect and be completely concealed behind the TV due to stud location (center of TV) and preferred placement of TV on wall. Found a Lagrand On-Q 12″ AV box that would 100% be concealed by TV when hung.

One connect box is an issue

I purchased this for our bedroom above the fireplace. We have an outlet on the wall so all wires would be hidden. I did not realize the issue I would have with the one connect box which is why I gave this four stars. The box is big and unless you put a hole in the wall, you are going to see a wire. Which defeats the purpose of this looking like art!!! Luckily for us, on the other side of this wall is the tv in our living room, so we put the wires through the wall and attached the one connect box to the back of that tv, but it was a whole thing. You HAVE to use the one connect. There is no way around it. I really wish we could have just plugged it into the wall, but you need to plug the tv to the one connect, then the one connect to the wall. There is NO WAY around this. I just wish I realized this before buying. Otherwise, it was easy to hang and with the frame, it does pass for art. There are 20 free art images or you can add your own (I haven’t yet). Has all the features you would expect a smart tv to have. I would not purchase again anything with a one connect box in this day and age of smart TVs.

Very happy with this purchase. Setup was fairly easy.

Excellent tv. Honestly, it was not that bad to install. I saw a few reviews and it was actually easier than I thought. Watch a few installation videos to get an idea. The best tip I used was to get and use toggle bolt’s for drywall installation. The anchors provided in the hardware kit are for concrete/Brick installation. Instead of one single mounting bracket, there are two mounting brackets. Each bracket uses four screws. For my installation, half were in studs and half were drywall. Therefore I needed four toggle bolt sets.I made the Frame for around $50 vs buying one for $600. I cut the crown molding 15 feet for four-inch molding) using a hand saw and miter box. That sucked a little. If you have the right power tools, you can make short work of it. It takes extreme precision. At the end of the day, buying a frame may be favorable for most people. I’m glad I made it myself — it was a nice project. The Frame covers the sensors (light/motion) but it’s not an issue with my setup. It doesn’t interfere with the remote function. It works great. The connected apps are awesome. SamsungTV Plus is wonderful. We were going to forego having a TV on our main level because we didn’t want to cheapen the look of our home. This truly makes your tv part of the décor. The tv functions are amazing.Complaint: they should allow a motion adapter and/or build a second one in the oneConnect box.

Install Write-Up to Hide OneConnect Box

Overall nice tv! Sharing my install story as to how I hid the cables and got the tv mounted. Hope it helps someone else.Installation: I had a hard time finding the install instructions for this 2021 model, which I wanted to see BEFORE buying to get my wall construction right. I’ve posted a picture of them here hoping it helps someone else ahead of time – see tv markup on top w/ letters that correspond to measurements in the table directly below it (right side is inches).I despise cables so decided to put a Chief (#PAC525FC) in-wall storage box into the drywall between studs with an outlet inside it; see picture. This worked out nicely and fits the OneConnect box perfectly (which is what everything connects too – HDMI, power, antenna, and other cables). The OneConnect box then has a thin cable that runs to the back of the tv allowing it to sit flush on the wall.I ran my HDMI and antenna cables behind the wall down to an outlet directly below the in-wall Chief box that has inputs for such connections (see lower outlet cut-out in photo). I bought such an outlet off AMZN as well for <$20. So my Xbox and cable box now simply plug directly into the wall.Mounting of the tv is a little silly as it’s 2 mounts holding the tv vs. 1 single in the middle. Because of the distance between the mounts (roughly 27-3/16” apart for my 50” tv) you likely won’t hit a stud for BOTH of the brackets. Because I had the wall open for the Chief box, I added 2x6’s between my studs so the mounting brackets would go into those after drywall was up. Due to ductwork in the wall my right-side tv mounting bracket overlapped by in-wall box (see photo) but this did NOT interfere with placing the OneConnect box and cables within it. The supplied screws worked perfect for the brackets. Can’t speak to the provided red drywall toggles.Install 1 mount then using a level, mark where the other one should go. Then when you hang your tv it should also be level (mine was). The instructions (more like hieroglyphics as another reviewer said) show “adjustments” can be made once the tv is hung-up, but I couldn’t figure out how that was possible. Again, if your mounts are level and straight in line you don’t have to worry about it.Picture quality + apps: Coming from a 10-year old tv this one is great. Built in apps (Disney+, AppleTV+, NFLX, AMZN, Hulu, etc.), Bluetooth sound to headphones, and the Art mode is nice when not watching anything. You can definitely tell it’s a tv with certain free artwork provided, but others are quite good looking and blend in seamlessly on the wall. Colors and motion are good with tv shows, movies, and Xbox One gaming. I read there are other tv’s with better pictures for less $$, but you buy this one for a great looking, thin tv on the wall with the art mode and magnetic frame/trim you can put around the tv (also another $150+ expense sadly...). The remote is intuitive and rechargeable, and the navigation windows for apps, etc. are very user friendly. Wife’s happy with it and I like it too! 56 people found this helpful

    I like it so far

My wife ordered this TV, she liked the way it sat flush (for the most part) to the wall.. when I read some of the other reviews I was a little intimidated about hanging it (there are a lot of horror stories regarding the mounting) and honestly it wasnt bad at all. The mount is a two part bracket, i prefer a single as it’s easier to make level, but they provide a template that you can place against the wall and make your marks. Now, you do need to constantly measure (which I’m not great at) and make sure your drilling is precise because once those two brackets go on the wall, there’s no adjusting and the mounts on the back of the TV have to mate against the wall mounts PERFECTLY. However with the template, a tape measure, and a 2in1 stud finder/laser level ($20) I got it on the wall in an hour (someone better at measuring could get it done in half that time) I had no problem locating studs to drill the main weight bearing screws into place on the outer slots (screws NOT included, but I had from the previous wall mount I removed) then i used two toggle bolts (also NOT included) for extra support on the inner slots. Seriously, I watched a couple Youtube videos and an hour later it was on the wall. NOW, the TV functions by a very small thin, clear wire that runs down the center of the TV to a control box. That control box is what actually plugs into the wall, and hooks in all your external media devices. SO, if you want ALL your wires hidden and the control box in the wall, behind the TV (as shown in some of the videos) then, yeah, thats going to be a pain, and probably better left to a pro as you may need an electrician (unless you are seriously handy) but the wire is not very noticeable, and can be virtually concealed if you do it right (ours tucks behind the top of our mantle, the runs down the side of it to a cabinet that holds the control box. My wife HATES exposed wires, but again the wire is so thin and clear it’s barely noticeable when done right. As for the TV itself, the picture quality is amazing and the art feature is pretty cool. The sound is adequate (could be a little better IMO considering the price) My son plays video games on it without issue, and they look great. I’m not crazy about the Home Screen as there’s a lot of stuff on there I’m just never going to watch/use.

Great picture and hangs very well!

If you are concerned about the 2021 Version, then read this review. This TV looks awesome and stands out above the fireplace perfectly. I had my doubts as to whether it was worth the cost, but it truly does look like a piece of art. This model is thinner than typical TVs and mounts closer to the wall. We installed the 50-inch version of the TV. The One-Box is completely hidden inside of the cabinets and the one connect cable was run through the wall.If you are willing to take your time and measure carefully, the installation is not difficult. The instructions include a diagram showing the exact spacings of the mounting brackets (attached). As long as you can read a diagram and mark up the wall carefully, it’s straight forward process. I marked up the entire area with masking tape and I even taped the brackets to the wall before I drilled the holes. We also read that the included screws don’t work well, but we had no issues with the screws . I used the largest Philips head driver I could and drove it into the wall with a drill without stopping. It worked fine. Please keep in mind we had to install in brick, which is more difficult than drywall. The mount is actually quite clever when it is installed. It allows you to level the TV with easy adjustments. I was impressed with how well it worked. If you want a TV that stands out and doesn’t “look” like a TV, then this version of the Frame is worth the money.

Yes it is expensive, but it’s beautiful.

The tv has a beautiful picture, there is no denying that. & when you turn it off, it becomes your favorite work of art. I love the slim profile, & it is the mount that makes that possible. There is a template included now which I believe was not in earlier boxes, my husband had no issues installing the tv at an appropriate level. We have not had a Frame previously so I can not compare to prior models installs. I do not like Samsung’s interface compared to my other televisions, it seems a bit bloated. Lots of unnecessary clicking & back & forth to get where you need to go. The remote needs improvement. I love the solar cell charging aspect but the volume & channel buttons have sharp, uncomfortable edges. & for some reason the durability of the finish is not very good either, it is scratched & we have only had it a couple of weeks. Bezels for this size (55”) are $150, which is a bit silly, but 3rd party are twice that. I believe it definitely needs an added bezel for the full Frame look, so be willing to fork over the extra cash. No need for the art subscription with the SmartThings app. We purchased our art off of Etsy.

Mount Problems, Remote Issues (don’t buy if you have other Samsung devices), and more

This review is of the 32-in model. My partner and I really went through the ringer this year. After moving into our new home and ordering quite a lot of things to set up various rooms, everything had to be suddenly packed away for emergency construction when we learned a portion of the house was literally collapsing. Fun times. Now that we’re through most of that, we’re finally starting to un-pack and open much of what we bought last year (this TV was bought late November 2021, so not quite 7 months ago). And we’ve had an awful lot of disappointment in things well past their return windows. If we could still return this TV, we would in a heartbeat. It’s the most expensive hunk of junk we’ve ever purchased. This is beyond disappointing, because I was so excited about this Frame. It was meant to go in my temporary art studio, somewhere to watch other artists paint live, watch tutorials to learn new techniques, etc. It should have been a perfect fit. Instead, it’s a nightmare. I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for years – numerous mobiles, another TV, and their smart monitor in my home office (which will come into play later)…While the problems are many, the two biggest are the wall mount and the remote. And they make this TV pretty much unusable.WALL MOUNTHere’s the thing. A proper wall mount for any expensive piece of equipment is going to be designed to accommodate standard stud spacing. Apparently Samsung’s engineers missed the memo. Most TVs use a single mount. But Samsung set this up to use two small ones. And they don’t align properly with standard studs. This means you have to use drywall anchors on one or both sides depending on where you want to install the TV (installing in the center of our wall would have required anchors on both sides).Thing is… the type of anchors included are NOT appropriate for this. They’re the style that can screw too far through the drywall when you put the screws in.A better option? When this happens, you would generally install a separate board to your studs, then secure the TV or whatever you’re hanging to that board.Another problem though…When you dig into Samsung’s documentation for The Frame, you find that they dismiss all accountability unless you install the TV exactly how they intend you to, using only the provided pieces. So that becomes a riskier option if there are problems. And you won’t get the wall-flush framed picture look you paid big bucks for.But wait. It gets better…That same documentation also dismisses all Samsung accountability if you don’t install the Frame at least 4 inches from your wall, cabinet sides, etc.You see the problem there, right? The TV was literally *designed* to sit flush against the wall. NOT 4 inches from it.Follow their instructions, and you’re in violation. Install the TV in a safer manner, and you’re still in violation. Hope there are no problems later, or good luck getting them to honor any warranty.REMOTE & APP PROBLEMSWhen we realized the issues with the wall mount were significant, we decided to set it up on a table temporarily until we can decide what to do with this TV we can’t return.I picked up the remote and turned it on.All good.I get to the setup screen that tells me to install their app.I do.The app finds the TV. But it refuses to connect, saying it’s not supporting in my region. I’m in the northeast US. I bought it in the northeast US. Less than a year ago. And the app is already not acknowledging the device.Awesome.So I choose the next option, to set up my connection manually. It gets to the screen where I can choose my wi-fi network. And… it freezes. The remote suddenly stops responding. At all.I hear voices and figure my husband is talking to a neighbor or delivery driver or something. I go out to update him on the nightmare setup of this TV.Only he’s not there.I follow the voices to my home office. They’re coming from my Samsung smart monitor (an M7, which I love!). It’s switched itself from my PC input to Netflix. Must be haunted, right?Nope! When The Frame in my studio space froze, I hit a variety of buttons on the remote hoping to wake it up. Including the Netflix button. And while it didn’t do a darn thing to the TV it’s supposed to be linked to, it *did* switch the input on my smart monitor in the other room. But, oh, it didn’t end there.Given the Frame’s remote wouldn’t work at all with, you know, *the Frame,* I had to get the smart monitor’s remote. Guess what. That worked! So now we’re at a point where my monitor remote controls the Frame, and the Frame’s remote controls my monitor. No biggie. They’re similar enough, I figured. I’d just switch them. The Frame then gets going finally after setup, and I see the list of apps to choose from.Cool.So I pick up the monitor remote that’s been controlling the Frame all this while. And I try to choose our TV streaming app. But…Nothing happens. Now that remote isn’t working either. So I try the Frame’s own remote again. It works!I’m able to choose my app. Then, when I’m in that app, it stops responding again. And it will only accept input from the monitor’s remote.Yes. I literally needed a specific remote to choose an app. But that same remote won’t control anything else. Even though it’s the Frame’s default remote. This was the most mind-bogglingly stupid TV setup we’ve ever seen. And the problems didn’t even stop there.- The documentation is atrocious. There are over a half-dozen various bits of paper, all poorly-designed/written, and it’s just a general mess.- If you’re hoping this will actually look like artwork, think again. If you use it for photos that are normally displayed behind glass, that’s great. This might work for you. But paintings hanging on your wall – especially the kinds of classic paintings you’ll see advertised with this – generally wouldn’t be displayed in a high-gloss, highly-reflected way. If you have real art rather than glass-covered prints or photos around this, it will stick out like a sore thumb.- I mentioned it briefly before, but it’s worth repeating — the app the TV tells you to install, does. not. support. this. TV. This is a particularly big deal if, like me, you bought this planning to upload your own photos or artwork. I’d hoped to use it to store and showcase digital versions of my own paintings for guests. But with the app not supporting this model at all despite what the TV itself claims, I don’t see any way to even use the art feature as-intended, and that basically limits us to paying for their subscription (which we won’t do) for artwork we didn’t even want. For something I wanted so much to love… from a company whose products I usually do… this insane lack of quality control in the entire engineering and documentation process has really soured me on Samsung. I’m just glad we didn’t go with them for the 70-in TV we recently purchased, because goodness only knows what the various remotes would be doing in that case. Heck. I was planning to get a second Samsung smart monitor down the line for my office, but now that I know I can’t trust them to handle multiple smart TVs/monitors in the same house, that’s off the table too. We’ve dealt with a lot of disappointments since our move, from the emergency reno disaster to a few big problem products we’re now finding out about past their return windows. In that latter group, this is by far the worst.

Nice TV, great art mode, horrible mount design

I pre-ordered this TV and before it arrived, the first reviews started coming in and most of them mentioned the horrible mount design on this version. “How bad could it be?” I thought. Once I got the TV, I opened the mount box and carefully read through the “instructions” (more like hieroglyphics, really — hardly any text to be found) and thought it seemed straightforward enough. It wasn’t until I almost got ready to hang the TV that I realized how truly dumb the mount design is.There’s a reason basically every TV mount is a single bracket, and that’s so it’s wide enough to span two studs and need just 4 screws. Well, Samsung decided to split the bracket into two pieces. At first you might think that this makes it flexible since you can move each piece independently. Wrong. The most asinine part of the design is that the two brackets are NOT flexible in their positioning, they in fact have to be precisely spaced according to the spacing of the hooks that attach to the TV, which varies based on model size. Furthermore, you HAVE TO put screws in the holes between the part where the hook attaches (marked with a ‘*’ on the instructions). The required spacing has no relation to common stud spacing or anything — on the 65″ version, the spacing is 37.25″. Therefore, there is NO WAY you will hit a stud with both brackets where the TV is hanging. Because of that and the stupid split bracket, you need to put 8 HOLES in your wall to mount this thing (or at least 6). Four per bracket — two that hit a stud, and additional drywall anchors or toggle bolts to make sure you hit the ‘*’ holes. Oh, and Samsung does NOT include those extra screws you will need, they only include stud screws. I mounted this thing over a week ago and I’m still annoyed at it.And after all that, mine isn’t even hanging flat. Hopefully someone will make a Youtube video showing how to get it to “snap” into the bracket. I’m too hesitant to push on the TV in the wrong place so I’ve left it hanging slightly forward.Other than the awful mounting design, the TV itself is meeting our expectations.- We primarily bought it for the art mode to fill a large wall with artwork, and for that purpose it works well.- The Intelligent mode works well in our room setting for modulating the art mode brightness and turning off at night. Basically it has been a “set it & forget it” experience so far. I was a little worried I’d be tweaking settings a lot more.- You can transfer your own artwork to the TV wirelessly using the Smart Things app, which makes it pretty easy to load it up.- As an actual TV, it’s perfectly fine. The Tizen interface isn’t my favorite, but the app store has most of the things I need and it works well enough. On the Con side:- The TV panel itself leaves something to be desired, eg. the off-angle viewing looks a little washed out, not ideal when your black mat looks gray-ish.- The interface is sluggish when changing artwork.- Very little built-in artwork.- Skimpy options for your own artwork, which makes it feel like it’s trying to discourage that and drive you to use the subscription service. For example: you have to manually crop the pictures to 16:9 yourself before transferring if you want to have a uniform mat border. There are only two mat options, versus the 5-6 for built-in artwork. There doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the mat to have it display fullscreen (though some pictures I’ve transferred do display fullscreen); overall feels inconsistent and a little buggy.

    Wifey challenge accomplished

If you’ve ever heard a phrase like “a bigger TV just means a bigger black square on the wall” or “I hate big TVs distracting us and our guests from conversation” from your significant other, look no further. I took that as a challenge to find a 75″ TV that blends in when off better than our old 65″. DONE!I will admit this came with compromises since I’d prefer the OLED picture quality. However, even with the LG Gallery series, that goal of blending into the room is lost with OLED because the picture has to change so frequently to avoid burn in. That’s a slideshow…not a piece of art (look up OLED burn in if you’re unaware).I had a party the weekend after installing this. 30-60 minutes after people arrived they were saying things like “wait…that’s a TV!” Even with a media cabinet and a sound bar under it, it took that long to notice/realize. Keep in mind, it’s never going to 100% fool anyone because it’s still backlit & 2D, but that’s not the goal. It blends in well enough temporarily because a dim static picture surrounded by the high level esthetics of a piece of art (including the mount) really actually tricks the mind… for a while. This works on the psychological principals of central vs peripheral perception; if something in your peripheral changes or just doesn’t make sense to the mind somehow, you’ll instinctively pull it into your central perception for long enough to make sense of it. This QLED TV can stay in that peripheral zone MUCH longer than an OLED TV… SCIENCE!Installation was pretty great, but I did hit a snag. You will need to be handy with a stud finder, level, tape measure, drill & drywall/masonry anchors, and you’ll need to put 8 holes in your wall. Also you’ll need to provide your own drywall anchors if that’s your application. The outcome is well worth the work though. Other than actually making that final lift of the TV onto the wall, it is a one person job if you need it to be. Of the 8 holes, at least 4 need to be into studs, but the way the brackets work you have a lot of play to still be able to center the thing on the wall as long as your studs are 16″ (standard) apart on center. I’m not sure if it will accommodate 24″ spaced studs as well…do your research to make sure this is not your situation (some exterior walls) and check with Samsung’s specs. I hit a snag because when I first saw the provided anchors, I assumed they’d work for drywall. They do not. That sucks if you’ve already drilled the size hole recommended for masonry into your drywall. Toggle bolt to the rescue! The Samsung Connect box is awesome! I know a lot of high end TVs have similar systems, and I honestly don’t know if Samsung’s offering here is superior or not. However, I don’t know why TVs in general haven’t moved to this type of hookup system. If needed, your connections could be WAY away from the TV and you still have one easily hidden wire. This makes installations in places like brick/fireplace way easier, but also it’s just so much better when it comes time to change something you’ve got hooked up. Love it.I gave 5 stars to the remote because it’s small, simple, and actually stays charged w/ a solar panel. That’s my preference. I’ve never cared for the big fancy “magic” remotes that try to be everything and more. I like that the TV can be controlled with simple inputs. You decide, but most who like the more complicated input systems wind up w/ a Logitech anyway.Regarding Smart features and the UI, it’s sufficient. As I said, I like that it accommodates a simple remote (whether it’s OEM or 3rd party). I am slightly concerned that Samsung is somewhat divesting in Tizen (the smart OS) lately, just like they abandoned Smart Hub years ago. So far Tizen is still their TV OS of choice, but they moved away from it for wearables. What that may mean is that apps that come out in 5-10 years may not be supported on Tizen-based TVs… just like I can’t get Disney+, Discovery+, Paramount+, etc. for my old Samsung TV w/ Smart Hub. For me I don’t really care because I just use Chromecast w/ Google TV across all my screens. You should plan your own technological fate… I know mine.

    Great TV, worth the money.

This is our 2nd Frame TV. We have the 55 inch in our living room and decided to get the 43 for our bedroom because we loved it so much! My wife and I love the sleek, low profile and the fact that it looks like a picture frame. Color, clarity and refresh rate are all great. I watch mostly sports and so refresh rate is key. 100% would recommend and 100% worth the high price tag.

Your Own Art Gallery At Home

The media could not be loaded.

This is a review of a 65” Samsung The Frame TV (Model #QN65LS03AAFXZA), 2021 year model (I would say similar things apply to 55” and 75” because of how bulky/long these sizes are). This review is also specific to the Art Mode of this TV (I am not reviewing the TV mode). If displaying Art is your primary objective, then get this Frame. The fact that it also is a TV is a great plus. But I would not recommend getting this if TV usage is your primary objective. We’ve only had the TV for about 1 week, so I am sure we will find additional settings and circumstances that we have not yet discovered. The decision to get this TV came out of the want to display a large photograph (60”x30”). I specifically was planning to get a Metal Print of that size, the cost of which is around $500-$700. We have many photographs hanging throughout the house, including ones printed on metal. But the cost just for one of this size is significant – and then you are basically stuck with just one art piece. So after some research of currently available Digital Frames, I decided that it actually made sense to spend $1,500 on Samsung’s TV Frame and have the ability to display whatever images we wanted. So far we are loving it! It is really good for displaying Art pieces. I am comparing it to professionally printed art photography on various substrates (art paper, acrylic and metal prints). This Digital Frame will NOT replace a professional print – but it comes darn close. It’s a compromise that gives you the ability to showcase and look at infinite number of art pieces, which obviously you cannot do with printed art. Brings hundreds of my art photographs to life (that otherwise are languishing in the digital closet on my computer).PROS:- Great for displaying Art Images- Excellent image rendition- Minimal glare- Ability to load & view your own images- Auto mat creation/adjustment for loaded images- Not just a Digital Art Frame, but a fully functional TV as well- Lot’s of connection options (hardwire and wireless)CONS:- Horizontal placement only. 55” sizes and over cannot be placed in Vertical configuration- Built-in Matting software is very limited (see below review for details)- There is a minor display issue when using dark color mats (see picture & below review for details)- Built-in TV speakers are not very good- Cannot use music apps available in TV mode while in Art modeINSTALLATION EXPERIENCE • Paper template for the brackets was included in the box • The 65” screen is listed at almost 50 lbs – so it is fairly heavy. Two people are absolutely required to move it around (or you are risking breaking it), as well as for the final hanging on the wall brackets. The pieces of the bracket that are screwed into the back of the screen have an ingenious design that allows you to make a slight adjustment (1-2 degrees) once the TV is on the wall – so there is some play to level it out just in case the brackets are not perfectly level (or the edge of the wall is not perfectly level). • Careful moving the screen around – it should not be held horizontally (parallel to the floor) by two people – it bends/flexes and feels like it can break/crack. So carrying it vertically (perpendicular) to the floor is highly recommended. If you need to carry it and then place it on a flat surface, do so vertically and then gently/slowly rotate it from a vertical position laying it flat. • Our installation did not include hiding the connecting cable (from the One Connect box to TV) in the wall. But I hid most of it behind a speaker stand, so only 5” of the cable is visible and it is so slim and unobtrusive that you basically don’t see it (especially since you are paying attention to the displayed art).ART MODE EXPERIENCEThe screen has minimal glare/reflection (see video) and is able to show “True” , very deep, even, black color. The motion sensor in our environment seems to be pretty weak. Have to keep it on the widest/strongest setting to detect most of the motion of people going through (possibly because of how far away (from the screen) the hallway is where we normally walk). Because of this, I have turned off the Motion Sensor and feel that we like this setting better, as the art on the wall is now “Always On”, which feels much more natural – just like regular art piece is always visible. Night Mode setting does work, but will depend on the ambient light amount in your specific setting (e.g. if it does not turn off, there is probably too much light for the sensor and if it does not turn back on, there is not enough light. Once the slide show is turned on, there is no way to manually (via remote control) advance to the next art piece. Also, if you are using The Frame to display your own art pieces, you have only 2 categories available for slide shows – My Photos and Favorites. So there is no ability to create various categories/curation sets – this actually becomes very frustrating once the numbers of images start exceeding 50 items. If you want to have smaller sets of curated own images, you constantly have to remove and add to Favorites.BUILT-IN AUTO-MATTING EXPERIENCE • If you want your image to be displayed taking up the ENTIRE screen, the ONLY way to do so is to ensure that the ratio of the image is EXACTLY 16:9. If you are off even 1 pixel, it will create a mat for the picture and will NOT give you an option to display without a Mat. It took me a frustrating several hours of playing around to figure this out. • You can upload only JPG, JPEG & PNG format files (can’t upload TIFF files). If you are creating/saving your own image as JPG, it seems Samsung software will have issues uploading JPGs with certain options enabled when you are saving them. For example, I found the hard way that the following settings (that are available with certain image editing software) will cause an upload issue (Save EXIF Data, Save XMP Data) • Overall, I feel that built-in matting software is very limited in function. Color choices are fairly limited and there is no true Black color mat option. It is able to create only Single Mats. Diptych or Triptych matting is not an option. This can be accomplished only through SmartThings phone app (see Smart Things section of this review). The only way to get around and create truly custom mats is for you to create them on your own on your computer (via whatever Photo Editing software you use), incorporating them as part of a single image (with the EXACT 16:9 measurements) and then loading into The Frame. • On Dark Mat colors (black, brown, navy) there is a slight horizontal line (of a lighter color) is visible at the top division of the mat (see picture with red arrows). This is obviously a Software issue (vs an LED pixel issue), because that line does not exist on lighter colored mats or if an image is displayed full screen (without a mat). However, it is almost invisible when you are looking at the image displayed far away (which you are if you are using 55” and above screen size). • Mats are not solid in color rendition – they are spotty. Again, the only way to fix this is to create your own matting via photo editing software.REMOTE CONTROL EXPERIENCE • Remote control is very slick and has minimal amount of buttons compared to the older Samsung remote controls. It does not have batteries that can be replaced – it is either chargeable via a USB-C connector (that does not come with the unit) or via solar panel on the back. • The placement of our TV is a bit strange (see pictures). We actually have another Samsung TV (a 40”) right under this one. The smaller TV is the one we use to watch movies (placed at a much lower, eye level), while The Frame is used only for art display in this large room. I found out immediately that BOTH remote controls (the one for the smaller TV and the one for The Frame) actually work for both TVs. So it was pretty funny when either one turned one TV off and turned the other on at the same time (or both on/off at the same time). Also, I believe the older remote is only Infrared, while the new one is both – infrared and RF. So just in case you will end up with a similar configuration where you have two Samsung TVs more or less near each other, you need to be aware of this. I got around the problem by taking advantage of the fact that one is infrared and the other is RF/infrared by turning on/off one or the other very close to the TV itself (or the One Connect box) and once either one is on, then using the correct remote for each one.SMART THINGS PHONE APP MATTING EXPERIENCE (using iPhone) • Have to have (or create one) a Samsung account in order to use SmartThings app (not my optimal choice). • During setup, have to connect SmartThings app to The Frame TV via Bluetooth • Whatever pictures you want to use to setup for Diptych or Triptych (it is called a Collage option in the app) need to be on your phone in My Photos. • Available Diptych and Triptych mats are NOT adjustable. In other words, the opening of the mats for the pictures is a SET template – it will not automatically adjust to the picture size (unlike on the mat setting on the TV itself for a single mat). So for example, if you have three horizontal pictures/photos that you want to setup for a Triptych mat, the Triptych is ONLY setup for Vertical or Square pictures and will place your horizontal pictures within the vertical/square openings. You do have the ability to move/adjust placement of each of the pictures within each of the Triptych openings, but again – the template is NOT adjustable. So the distance from the edge of the mat to the pictures itself never changes. The same is true for Diptych – the available template is set as Left Vertical, Right Horizontal – you cannot switch this configuration.OTHER MODES/SERVICES EXPERIENCE • AMBIENT MODE – This mode provides for various included moving/interactive images, as well as the ability to set a specific color to the entire screen. If you are tired of looking at Art pictures, you can switch to this mode to change things up a bit. • MY SHELF – I have not found this mode useful at all, so no additional feedback • ART MUSEUM SERVICE – There are about 20 free art images available to pick from. There are several Art subscription services available. I have not used any yet, since I am using my own art pieces for now. • USB KEY (or hard drive) CONNECTION/USAGE – When you connect a USB key (or a compatible hard drive), you can display images when in TV mode (this becomes another Source). You can display the images in a slide show mode. This probably is good to view/show family snaps, but it is not a good display option for art images. The screen displays images at an extremely bright setting. You can probably change the brightness, but the display feel is completely different than Art Mode. You can also play music files if they are loaded on the USB key and music playing option is also available as a background while picture slide show is in progress. There is also an interesting option called 360 Degree View – this option provides the ability to see the original flat image in 360 degrees that you can move around – based on the image, it can provide quite an interesting perspective. • BUILT-IN TV SPEAKERS – are not very good. It is best to connect either a Sound Bar and/or home stereo.NICE TO HAVE • Ability to create/use multiple (more than 2) categories for curation of your own images (see Art Mode Experience section for details). • Being able to play music on TV (natively) while Art is being displayed. For example, you have music options as part of applications in the Smart Hub (Amazon Prime, Spotify, etc.). So it would be nice if you can get that going while Art is being displayed. But with the current setup, that is not possible, because the unit needs to be in the TV mode to use these applications. The only way to accomplish this is to connect your smart phone to the TV via Bluetooth and play music on your smart phone using Frame as Bluetooth speakers (Samsung calls this type of setup Sound Mirroring). • Ability to place The Frame into Vertical mode as well (for 55” and over screens)LONGEVITY/HOT PIXELS/IMAGE BURN-INTime will tell for all of these areas. I am especially concerned about Image Burn-In, since I am planning to have a single image being displayed potentially for weeks at a time. Hopefully Samsung has taken this into account specifically for this Digital Frame. According to FRAMEMYTV, they have not experienced any image burn-in on Samsung Frames that they have on 7/24 with single images.

The TV itself is very nice, but several things to be aware of …

    1. To echo other reviewers, this TV is a huge pain in the ass to mount on the wall and the design of the mount (43” size) is not amenable to getting more than one screw in a stud. I had to mount it a few inches off of where I planned to even do that.Furthermore, the mounting “instructions,” as others have noted are useless. Not only that, they made it look like I needed some other pieces that were not included. I tried looking for online photos and videos that might help, but everything was for the larger sizes, which apparently have a different mount (although it sounds like both size mounts are equally frustrating). The only video I could find for the 43″ was in an Indian language I don’t speak, but at least allowed me to confirm that my guess of how the plates went on the wall was correct and that I did not need parts I did not have.Once you get the brackets on the wall and the pins on the TV, it is very difficult to get the TV into the brackets, because it is impossible to see what you are doing. I ENDED UP PUTTING MASKING TAPE ON BOTH THE WALL AND THE SIDES OF THE TV IN PLACES WHERE I COULD REMOVE IT AFTERWARDS, SO I AT LEAST KNEW WHERE THE TV WOULD LINE UP WITH THE BRACKETS.In my case, it was even more problematic because I ran the wire through the wall instead of below the TV on the wall, so I had to hope I did not crimp it when I could not see it.2. The downloadable manual is not very helpful either. It apparently applies to several different TV models. It tells you all kinds of information about features you are unlikely to use, including at least one not available in the US or Canada, but leaves out many of the most basic things, which you end up needing to figure out via trial and error.3. The “art mode” is a lovely feature, but after spending the better part of several days looking online for images to use as backgrounds and, in some cases, cropping them in a photo editing app to fit the screen better, I ended up usually just turning the TV all the way off most of the time and not using it because I put it in a bedroom, not a living room, and I didn’t want it to turn back on from sleep mode every time I walked in the room for 20 seconds to get a pair of socks. Both the art mode and the “home” menus are set up to try to encourage people to buy images from Samsung or subscribe to a service, but I can’t imagine why anyone would when there are millions of images available online for free. Also note: It is easy to load images onto the TV with a USB drive, but you can’t name them or organize them in any useful way, except to mark some as favorites. The thing seems to be programmed such that if you use one of their images you usually get more “mat” options than with your own image, but the ones you get are sufficient (except that the available mat colors are an odd choice, though you can generally find one that works).Although there is a “slide show” option, the shortest time option is 5 minutes, and it has options like once a day! Not what I would call a slide show!4. If my experience is typical, forget about using the Google Assistant that is built in. I got it set up and it worked for a few days, then stopped working, and no matter how many times I deleted it, signed out and tried resigning in, I got nowhere. The screen with the necessary code would disappear after about a second or less.Furthermore, during the brief period of time it was working, I did not find it useful. It is NOT the same as a regular Google Assistant. It seemed to be just a way to look for shows to watch, although maybe if I kept working I might have found other ways for it to be useful???

    Love the total package

The picture quality is great, but it is the total package that i appreciate.Mounting it was a piece of cake. It looks FAR cleaner on the wall than the typical TV on a wall mount. People who care about looks may buy it for that reason alone I suspect. (note, I have yet to buy an actual frame for it, it looks perfectly nice as is.)Then, logging into all the services was made super easy by QR codes. Navigating the menus is very intuitive. My compliments to the product team who put the package together.Separately, I had an issue where the TV would not mirror my iPhone. Customer service was very responsive. When we could not resolve it over the phone they sent a tech guy here and he fixed it very quickly by updating some software that the consumer cannot access. (the TV worked perfectly fine other than that now-fixed item)

    We LOVE it

The media could not be loaded.

I am a high school art teacher and my wife is a photographer. This tv fits beautifully on the wall and the images/artworks display great. We have paid the annual fee and feel like the selection of artworks is worth the $5 a month.PRO – it looks amazing, fits flat to the wall like an actual framed artwork, the functionality of the TV is great, very easy to use. The “one” chord hides easily, but might be trickier based upon how/where you choose to display the tvCON – mounting is more difficult than a regular tv. We were mounting our TV into a cinderblock wall. The instructions are thorough but we ended up watching a few YouTube tutorials also. Myself and my father-in-law managed to get it all set up in a little over an hourSUMMARY – definitely would recommend for any art lover. If your just in it for the TV then there are much more affordable and less complicated options

Terrible Viewing angles make this useless as a frame

I got this to replace my own custom made Tv/Frame combo. I should have read rtings in advance because this is a VA panel which means the viewing angles are awful. Considering this is to display art, typically in a prominent area, there’s a very high chance you will look at this from and angle.Looking dead ahead it’s gorgeous. Pretty stunning actually. Art/photos have a 3D effect that looks like it’s a matted (I prefer the shadow box mat) frame.Unfortunately as soon as you step 2 feet to the side the image washes out significantly and you lose color and contrast. It’s so bad that the side closest to you looks different than the side away from you.I understand they used VA instead of IPS to make it thinner but they failed here. Samsung has screen technology to help with off angle viewing of VA panels but they decided not to use that here. They took a cheap TV and added a frame and art mode and charge 3x the price. This should have MUCH better angles for the price. I can’t imagine how bad it would be on 75”. I have the 43”.The mount was clever. I know someone here hates it but I loved it. Very very low profile. But the instructions are god awful. I’m tech savvy and have no trouble with assembling things but their diagrams are terrible. Still, once on the wall it works great. I like the one wire connector as well but the connector box is MASSIVE.Overall had they used a better panel, or viewing angle correction tech, this would be a home run. Instead I ended up returning it and reinstalling my original framed TV (thicker, but has an IPS panel for great viewing angles) and using a chromecast with googleTv. I matted my own pics in photoshop and just use the chrome cast to show art now. Click back from the Home Screen and it automatically starts the ambient mode , so this The Frame Tv isn’t much use for me.

Great idea, wish it gave more

There is a love hate relationship between me and this purchase. I bought the frame after moving into a new place and began redecorating. The aesthetic I was looking for I felt would be enriched by adding the frame. Fast forward a month or so and I can say as far as looks it definitely has, I am in love with the sleek look of the tv and how beautiful it looks in the frame, and let me tell you this puppy is loud I was surprised actually as I thought would have to add a sound bar but it can do well on its own. However this is where my disappearance starts, the frame advertised as not only a tv but a show pice for art that blends in. When it comes to art features, it’s very basic. You can either shuffle your own pictures with very few options for timing or subscribe to the art subscription Samsung has made. I’m ok with there being a subscription but I feel like they could have given the user more customization with their own photos to create something that’s better fits the look they want. Also the tv is 1080p I thought it was 4K but didn’t realize until I had it. I think I’m keeping it because I love the way the frame looks on a tv but I’m not so sure it gives the value it should for such a great idea

    So good

I’ve been loving my Samsung Frame. I got it as an upgrade to my old Samsung 32” 1080p smart tv that I’ve had for years – which still works perfectly, and is a big reason I decided to go for the same brand once more.I also got an Xbox series X and did have some issues making it work with the advertised 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, etc., but someone actually has a software update you can upload via USB to the hub on the Frame that solved all those issues. It works flawlessly now and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the Game Mode with Elden Ring.Highly recommend and as always if you take good care of your tech, it should last you quite a long time. I would also recommend getting an extended purchase protection to be safe as it is such a big investment, definitely worth the extra bit of money.

Screen looks like thin plastic when off.

It usually would have an image on so most of the time it looks great. Picture quality is great. It’s thin and looks great on the wall. I didn’t like that the gallery of art images has an annual fee – i wish there were a good quantity of free options- but actually you can also upload your own. I also did not like that for the wall in my room, the screws and anchors they provided did not work well, but that’s because i had wood panelling with hollow space behind. I think the ones they include should work with most wall or gyp board walls. I needed to buy metal expanding anchors and screws. Otherwise i love the frame TV

    BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I bought this TV for my birthday about a month ago, I was so excited when it came right on time I even got the installation date set for a week after and I took the afternoon off work so I could be home and oversee the work. The problem really began once the technician was just about ready to install and mount my tv when he informed me that I was missing the wall mount!! He asked if I had perhaps taken it out of the box somewhere and I replied that I hadn’t even opened the box before his arrival (I was afraid of damaging the tv by taking it off the box by myself) we searched everywhere, and I even went down to the mail room in my building to see if it had perhaps arrived in a different box. NOPE, it wasn’t there either. It was only after the guy had left telling me he couldn’t help me and that I had to re-schedule the appointment, that I went back to my apt and read the box the tv came in it specifically says with SLIM FIT WALL MOUNT INCLUDED. Frustrated I called AMAZON customer service who said they would transfer me to a samsung representative, after being on the phone with them for over 40m trying to prove that I was indeed missing the wall mount, that I was told a new one would be arriving in 3 to 5 business days. I re-scheduled my appointment with the technician for a week later and still no wall mount had arrived! I had to re-schedule the installation ONE MORE TIME and called Amazon who wasn’t helpful AT ALL. Upon transferring me to samsung customer service again I was told they could NOT send me a wall mount and that they had no idea why the previous representative said that they would send me one! I thought I was going crazy, I was essentially playing phone tag between amazon and samsung customer service all afternoon, each one transferring the responsibility of sending me the wall mount onto one another because of something THEY DIDNT INCLUDE. THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD!!! I am sitting here a month later with a huge box with a tv that can’t be installed, no reparations from either party and I had to cancel the installation altogether. PLEASE do not get this tv unless you want a major headache of a customer service coupled with extremely useless workers. I will gladly give this tv back if it wasn’t for the fact that I cannot carry it by myself!!! BUYER BEWARE!!

Do not purchase this TV for use with the current gen consoles.

I wish I had looked into the reviews regarding the performance of this TV with the PS5 more carefully before purchasing.Samsung has a real issue regarding the PS5 and HDCP. Some people say it’s Sony’s fault, for me it doesn’t matter. If you use the HDMI port designated for a gaming console with the frame TV (the one that supports 120hz) be prepared for a non stop slew of issues. It doesn’t work properly or at all. This is after the update from Samsung/Sony that was supposed to resolve this issue. Look for people mentioning a black screen when trying to display the console or more importantly the TV thinking the console is turned off when it isn’t. It is not a HDMI cable issue that some people have reported or that is another issue altogether. There are better looking displays with equivalent feature sets for less money than the frame. The one thing the frame does beautifully is fitting almost flush to the wall. There is about a 1/4 inch gap. The art mode is unique but underwhelming. The user interface serviceable. I purchased this TV based strictly on it’s ability to mimic a framed piece of art to satisfy the better half. On that front it was a complete success.

Don’t buy (this model/size) – lacking brightness, features don’t work

I love the frame. I use them in my personal home and rental property. They’re a great combination of a TV and impressive art gallery. This model, however, had a lot of issues… the auto on/off feature that disables the screen with the absence or presence of light or darkness has never worked. This feature is a nice power saver and convenience especially when in a bedroom. Now I can no longer connect to the art store even after many attempts to reset the tv. I can’t change the art on the tv or change the features of the mats, etc… which is my favorite feature. Also, when in art mode, the brightness is about half that when using the tv to watch something. This is a huge bummer because in even a dimly lit room the art on the tv looks extremely dull at maximum brightness. Finally, this model is VERY SLOW. The loading speed is sad for a tv of this price-point, especially considering it’s size. Hopefully they’ve made improvements in the later models in this size range, but IMO you should stay far away from this model unless someone passed it along to you for free. I hope this review helps any prospective buyers.

Very happy with this purchase. A little daunting to hang but easy enough if you take your time. Ran wires in wall. Looks fabulous. Like a real picture. Also the frame makes the whole package. Expensive but nice. Picture quality is ok. Sound is fine too. I mainly purchased this so I didn’t have a TV as the center of my room as I don’t watch except oldies. It’s amazing how the pictures and the matting look. Super real.

    Severely disappointed with Samsung

When I purchased the frame TV, I was beyond excited. I saved up a lot in order to purchase one and was ecstatic when it was delivered. My husband and I enjoyed it for about a year. Shorty after our one-year warranty ended, all of a sudden our TV would randomly shut off. We could power it back on again but it would quickly shut off again. The home button on the remote stopped working and we couldn’t navigate to different apps. At this point, I have exhausted all resources. I have looked it up online to troubleshoot, contacted Samsung report, and the consistent response is that I need to buy a new one because it would be the same price to fix it. First of all, the fact that it costs that much to repair it is a red flag. Every technician I have called around my area say they don’t work on frame TVs because they are too complicated. Another red flag. So, the problem has consistently gotten worse and now the tv will just turn on and show the logo screen and immediately shut off again on the loop. It is currently a black rectangle hanging on my wall with no use. I can’t have the heart to throw it away because I spent over $1,000 on it, but I have no idea if there is any hope for it being fixed.

Expensive but really changes the feel of a living room! For art lovers this is a must!

Samsung frame does exactly as it’s intended! I read the reviews about how difficult it was to Mount so I had someone from task rabbit Mount it for me- he had no issues and figured it out on his own. I have been busy finding high res art from the met museum, Google arts and culture etc all for free! Downloaded files to a USB and saved to the tv. The frame tv will customize a matte to wrap around each painting regardless of the dimensions and the matte colors can be changed. Artwork can be set to shuffle , and rotates once every three minutes (or five , ten, fifteen etc) minutes. Love this feature. There is a box that must be connected to the tv and I have hidden that in the small credenza in my living room (beneath my patron lol) so it’s not an eyesore by any means. It’s obviously expensive for a tv (65” can be purchased for $500 nowadays) but I hate having a huge black rectangle on my wall. Worth the premium if you want a nice look and feel to the room . As long as the tv detects motion it will turn on, and adjust lighting via sensor so it’s not a glowing tv but dim like real art .. on a sunny day it can pass as art. On cloudy day / evening it does glow slightly but I’m fine with that! Tv has 6 GB of storage so start collecting art!

    Beautiful TV

Beautiful TV, horrible to try to hang. We watched every YouTube video we could and we still couldn’t get it right. Precision is key and we never quite got there, so what’s suppose to be this gorgeous TV hanging on the wall is now sitting on its feet. We have the 2021 version of the TV it did not come with a hanging template the videos indicated the TVs prior to 2021 did for easy marking and hanging.Putting the hanging aside. The picture is amazing, very crisp and clear. The sound could be a little better, but that’s what a sound bar is for and really, who buys this TV to listen to it? The museum type pics are amazing, not true to form, but I’m pretty sure I’ll never make it to the Louvre Museum so I do appreciate the thought behind this television.

    Nice but continuous loading issue

I like the way this tv is flush against wall and the customizable “frame” to fit decor. I also like the small box, the brain, which doesn’t have to sit out in direct view to operate tv.Con: i use streaming service instead of cable tv. Even the preloaded app HULU has issues loading. Plus if it’s a preloaded app it won’t let you uninstall or reinstall. Only way I have found to correct issue is to unplug tv for a bit. I even tried another streaming service that wasn’t preloaded, but when trying to watch a show, tv would freeze and only way to get to another screen was to unplug tv. Even powering tv off didn’t work.Love the look but clearly still have some issues.

    TV or Picture Frame

When people walk into my home office, they’ll either say “what a nice picture” or “that TV is so slim!” – You can see the image clear at any angle. Color + sound + image = GREAT QUALITY!

One cord to the tv is perfect for setups that rely on WiFi and game consoles.

I love the flush mount and the one connect box. Next to some posters on the wall, it looks right in place. Sure it’s still a tv, and looks like it, but it fits in so much more than a monster hanging off of the wall or on a stand. We have old brick walls so we hired a person on Thumbtack to install and we’re happy with the work. With these old walls, it’s hard to hid cables so having the one connect box down below the TV with one cable going to it is a huge plus. The tv is on the opposite side of or room from the router, as that’s where the coax comes in. It works perfectly on WiFi so I’m stoked that I don’t have to route any cables over to it.Picture is great, sound is okay. Can’t wait to get my actual sound system hooked up, but waiting on a digital to analog converter as my soundsystem is old school and one connect box only has digital outs…

    TV is Awesome !!

Absolutely loving it – Samsung, The Frame !!The picture quality is clear and ultimate, clear cut different than LCDs … this QLED variant sure looks much much better. Even with lowest of brightness and contrast (my kid is watching youtube, so lowest of all settings) … the picture quality is so clear, beyond normal, ultimate.Don’t know what others were talking about that Frame’s primary purpose is looks and not picture quality … the quality is super, clarity, brightness, sharpness + color combination .. all are perfect.Even you get one setting down to 1 with others in mid .. the picture still adjusts.Awesome product from Samsung, Happy to have taken it.Both, the Art Mode and Ambient mode is good, haven’t really using it yet, tried out though, looks dope, however u need a custom bezel to get the frame look for sure, the black one or the basic ones simply don’t get u that look.

Not the same as the larger models

I purchased the 55” frame tv for my living room and got this one for my office. After receiving it, I realized I needed a larger size, but this smaller tv has no clear connection cord. This one is gray and thick and cannot be concealed, also the manual on/off control is at the very top, so you won’t reach it when mounted on the wall. Very poor design and disappointing. I thought this would be the same as the larger sizes.

    Great TV, but……

This is a great TV, however if you are thinking it is going to look like a painting on the wall, it’s really not. The backlighting the TV has to create gives it an unreal looking painting or picture vibe. It’s better to view this as a digital picture frame. So if you are buying to create painting look thinking you will hide the tv during the times of not using it not really worth it. However I gave a 5-star just because its a nice tv with a good contrast ratio. If you are just wanting an amazing tv for all other uses gaming, movies, ect. I would recommend the 8k OLED, it cost more but in my opinion it is a way better machine.
