Bookshelf speakers
The SaiYin bookshelf speakers have great sound. I hooked up the rca cable to headphone jack on Victorola 6 in 1 player and the red and white plugs to back of speakers. The sound was amazing. Had to turn it down so I wouldnt blow out my ears. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Excellent speakers for the price
I already have a set of Bose surround sound speakers for my tv but they’re an older set that isn’t Bluetooth capable, so I wanted to get Bluetooth speakers to connect to my phone so I can play music. I didn’t want anything too expensive and I saw these and decided to give them a try. They were very easy to set up and I was pleasantly surprised at the great sound, especially for the price. So if you want a good set of speakers but don’t want to spend a lot of money I suggest this set.

Awsome sound quality 👌
I’m very old school , so sound quality is my pepeeve. The speakers are awsome and very powerful for small speakers , I love the remote you can skip to the next song or simply put the music on mute, wich will stop the music on the computer or your phone. For an off brand pair of speakers they very powerful 💪, and yes I would buy them again.

Great Sound, Easy setup!
My wife is not an audiophile and even she says she likes these speakers!Recommend these for anyone looking for an inexpensive alternative to high end bookshelf speakers, these speakers are compact in size, but not in sound quality.I rate these speakers a sound buy for the budget conscience consumer.

I bought these to use with a Bluetooth turntable. Setup was basically “plug ’em in, and turn ’em on” (read the manual anyway). They sound and look great!

Good quality speakers for price and good customer service from seller
Nice speakers, good quality sound for price overall happy with my purchase. Did have an issue with Bluetooth not working at first on speakers it wouldn’t connect to my recorder player at first, but finally after contacting seller, thinking was going to need a replacement but Bluetooth finally connected to recorder player. Don’t know why had so much trouble first connecting and seems to still have a little trouble when reconnecting to recorder player seems to search a little bit for Bluetooth signal but eventually connects after a minute or 2. Hopefully it continues to be able to connect. Once connected speakers work well. Happy with the sound and was pretty affordable. Would recommend overall. And the sellers customer service seemed very friendly and willing to help if I needed a replacement. So overall happy with my purchase was a little concerned at first because of Bluetooth issues but once it finally connect I am happy with the speakers.

Has Really Good Sound
This speaker system has really good sound. I initially bought them to extend my TV speakers from the family room to the kitchen using the built in BT. After buying a BT transmitter I noticed a delay causing an echo effect. I then used these speaker to replace the sound bar on the TV and noticed these speakers had better sound quality than the sound bar. The only issue I have is that the remote can only control the subwoofer meaning there is no control for the treble and bass. Other than that I am very happy with these speaker.

My turn….
So, want to know how these speakers sound? I have great ears, I grew up listening to the best sound systems, JBL SONY, so many,… you must keep in mind, the price for these Speakers…I’m blown away at how nice they sound, to me? I’m impressed… nice bass, mid , treble.. really decent… I’m using them to listen to music and Youtube video’s….You just need to adjust the volume on the speakers along with the volume on your computer,… I noticed they clipped at a certain level, so I just played around with the volume on the speakers.. and my laptop… got it to go away…. remember for the price, these speakers are really nice… warm nice crisp treble…. If you want top end sound, then go ahead and spend big $$$, I am very happy with these speakers… def do not need to buy a separate sub woofer, Bass is really nice…very happy!!

Easy to set up and surprisingly louder than I thought
I like these speakers. I use them for my record player and this thing is loud. It’s louder than my PC speakers surprisingly and I found it a good thing. I guess my one and only complaint is that batteries aren’t included for the remote but that’s fine.

Impressive bass, impressive background hiss
Connected via bluetooth, there is enough background hiss – while music is playing – to significantly impact the sound quality. Even at higher volumes, where the hiss is less noticeable, it made everything sound much less clear.Which is a real shame, because the drivers seem quite capable, and the enclosure has somehow been tuned to create a sigificant boost down around ~40Hz – I was honestly shocked that these could hit that low. It’s very clearly a hotspot in the tuning, there is noticeable dropoff right above and below that magic frequency, but it’s not too dramatic. The speakers are pretty light, the cabinets are made of thin wood, the lights shining through the laminate doesn’t look great, and very clearly the sound processing (at least on bluetooth) is pretty poor. But for $60, they put out a lot of sound. If you want some tiny, cheap speakers that can put out a lot of sound, and you don’t care too much about the details, these are great. If you want cheap speakers that can play loud, and you don’t care much about fine details, these are perfect. For me, I planned to play these at moderate volumes using only bluetooth, so I returned them, and purchased a more expensive set of speakers that met my requirements.

Great speakers, but probably spend $11 more
I bought these to replace similar Edifier speakers with a thin, poorly designed remote which broke. These Saiyin speaker have impressive sound, but too much bass. (And I am a person who generally likes bass.) I returned these, and bought Saiyin upgraded model (DS6801K) for about eleven dollars more. I have not yet received and tried it. It has a 5 inch speaker and has larger outside dimensions which I don’t prefer, but I am willing to give it a try based on the overall quality and price of these smaller ones. Will post results later.Just tried the larger, 5-inch speakers– somewhat better, but still too much bass even with bass turrned all the way down and treble all the way up. Returning these. (This is the first time I have returned a second upgraded item like this.) Unfortunate because the speakers seem to be quite high quality for the price.

Excellent sound for the price!
I’m an audio engineer with 30 years of experience working with very expensive equipment. I bought these speakers for my daughter’s record player with really low expectations, but what a surprise! I love the sound of these little things! They’re bass heavy but it doesn’t bother me. On the contrary, you get awesome bass for the size. You don’t need a subwoofer. Also, the connection options are very convenient. I connected the record player (RCA), the TV (Optical), and play music from my phone (bluetooth). The remote works great. If you’re not super picky, you can’t go wrong with this $60 investment.

Not too shabby for their size
They have decent sound, and I am really thankful for the remote. Turning up the volume to hear music over the vacuum while cleaning didn’t have the static sound my last set had, so that’s pleasing. I’m impressed. Love that they don’t take up a lot of space!

I like them!
Are they the greatest? No. Are they really good for the price? YES! I listen to a rain track to fall asleep to. I can’t tell if it is actual raining or it is the speakers. If I focus, I know. “Focus” is the key word. The bass is tuned fairly well also. I like my bass with a tight punch. They deliver. Excellent for what I use them for.

Great Speakers at a Reasonable Price
I bought these speakers to connect to my iPhone for music in my home office. I wanted a good quality system but an an affordable price. These speakers were easy to set up, and positioned either side of my computer screens, they provide excellent stereo sound. They look good too. works well but…
Not as large as I feared. Look very nice in my Liv Rm. Set up a bit of a challenge for me. The SMALL print instructions could have been better written, at least for my old challenged brain. I am using them to provide sound next to our 2 recliners in from of our old Visio tv, which we have a hard time hearing, expecially when our A/C fan kicks on. I did not notice that it doesn’t have treble/bass or individual speaker volume control when I bought them. My bad. With the speakers working, there is no sound coming from the tv, and although my fire stick remote does work with them, my tv doesn’t show the volume or mute icon with the speakers on. I can use either the fire stick or the remote it came with to change the volume or mute or even pause the stream. So, I need to learn more about it. It does do what I needed, however, give us tv sound I can hear well and they look nice.

Great speakers for the money with nice options for hookup. Optical, and Bluetooth (awesome feature for the price) are beyond what I expected. Remote is perfect. Very good sound, with plenty of bass. Very much recommend these powered speakers over more expensive similar featured sets. I’m not sure of the longevity, but they sound as nice as my Kanto powered speakers.

Small but powerful
I have these little speakers connected to a turntable via Bluetooth. I am amazed at the output for such a small set of speakers. I’ve tested them with the volume at max on the speakers, volume at max on the turntable, and made adjustments for listening when my four legged companions are around (they have a hard time with the bass at louder settings) and when they aren’t. There is no distortion, and I feel I am listening to my old favorites the way they were intended to be played.Set up was pretty straightforward, and I like the Bluetooth pairing because there are fewer wires for my youngest feline to search out and chew on.Great set of speakers. Good value for the money.

wow !! I provided a video of the speakers in different conditions to let them speak for themselves, definitely use some headphones to get a sense of the bass !!to keep things short, they are LOUD !!! the bass is LOUD !!! it is just a lovely sound !!i needed some speakers for my projector and considered giving these a shot, and wow, these speakers have impressed me truly ! these little speakers have such room filling sound coming out of them and it is so beautiful to hear. they connect to my projector automatically via bluetooth and is such a seamless experience that i didn’t expect ! the bass on the 4″ woofer model is absolutely amazing, it’s has lovely and equal sounding highs and lows and provides an almost theater like experience for my small room, and it’s still loud enough to be heard downstairs all the way to the garage ! the wood finish also is very beautiful and blends in with my natural room designI’d suggest having them further apart since they do provide stereo via bluetooth ! and a quick note for anyone buying them, i was a bit worried that the sound coming out of them was distorted when I first opened them, but it was quickly fixed when I turned the projectors volume down to 40% and used the speaker remote to control the main volume, so do keep that in mind if you plan on using bluetooth on them mainlyall in all, these speakers have truly impressed me, especially considering the fact that they are budget friendly speakers, I’d give them 10 stars if I could ✮

deep bass, mid-high and high somewhat lacking but there, Still great sound for the money
I am somewhat disappointed in the sound these produce. – This is my experience, with my discerning ears and taste in audio. – But i also realize the price range, the expectation cant be for $1000, or even $500 speakers, and not like my JBL 305’sI like high Hi’s ….middle of the way Mid’s and deep punchy bass without forgetting the mid to high bass. These speakers do cover a lot of those bases, and for many it may be an outstanding deal. For me, given the reviews here, i was a little put off when i got them, not totally disappointed, just let down a little.I considered keeping them for my son but opted not to and returned them once Saiyin replaced them for the 6801K – though they sent me the old version when advised i would get the newer version with the horn tweeter, not the done tweeter.***Build qualityVisual quality – excellent, super nice looking speakers with the grill on or off, although the LED lights in the front should not be the size (actually larger) than a pencil erasure and should only light up based on the input selected (color coded lights per input method maybe.Saiyin – all that is needed are tiny lights, you don’t need big led’s like you have now. They are not very heavy and the external aesthetics are very appealing.Vibrations/Rattle at high volume – nonexistent – perfect.***Audio QualityLoudness – Oh my gosh yes, very loud, i did not test distortion much but they handle and extremely high volume level.Treble – This is one of my sticking points, though its not BAD, just not what i want in a speaker. The version without the Treble and Bass are limited, they don’t offer any wiggle room without a pre-amp/EQ, which for those who have one, many lucky you, get these speakers! If you don’t, then you should look at the 6801K for the Treble controlDon’t get me wrong, the treble is there, its nice, but it wasn’t what i wanted.Bass – more than enough for such a small little woofer and small enclosure, in fact wow, WOW, huge bass for what they are.Its tuned perfectly, for what they are but what would be nice, really nice, is maybe an alternate version that uses a Bass Reflex type ported enclosure because it offers an extremely elevated level of punch to your bass. even porting it from the rear so that bass bounces off the walls.a full 5″ and 8″ woofer/subwoofer version with larger horn tweeters and a midrange speaker would be putting many speaker people out of business – Edifier i am talking to you.***Customer ServiceMy experience with Saiyin has been nothing but phenomenal, the rep I dealt with was polite, understanding, helpful and even replaced the speakers I was not personally happy with, with the 6801K speakers which offer separate bass and treble, and a MIC input (which i think is pretty cool)This greatly helped tone down the extra bass because of the chipset tuning and bring up the treble to where i want it (which is treble maxed out, and Bass about 60%)I really really which they offered a 3-way speaker though, man i would replace my JBL305’s with those.I still liked the original model, they are 10000% worth every penny, but don’t buy them thinking they are JBL Monitors, or B&W or any other high end speaker.Envision cheaply priced speakers, that blow you away, and then blow you away again when you realize that the things are less than $100.They promote them as phonograph speakers, but let me tell you whether its this model or the 6801K they make AMAZING home theater speakers. And depending on how you position them, the need for a sub is down to personal preference, not out of necessity.Original -YES i realize these are TWO-WAY speakers but with a separate tweeter horn there should be more treble here.So far I have only tested Bluetooth and this is what i am basing my reply on, so for now i am keeping the review the way it stands. On the Iphone i had to use the Treble Booster EQ setting which does a lot more than boost trebles, but it made it sound better.I have had other BT adapters that caused heavy bass too so i am hopeful with the RCA or Optical inputs the audio will level out. (hoping)I did not test those as i later reached out to Saiyan and they resolved it (per my above remarks)

Really nice except for the hiss
These desk speakers are truly great for the price point but still have an annoying hiss/static to them. I tried moving the cables and even tried entirely different AUX to RCA cables yet none fixed that hiss. It’s enough to be noticeable especially at lower volumes. The actual sound quality has a nice richness to it. I wouldn’t recommend these for desk use due to the hiss that these speakers have, but for general room speakers they are a great buy. The Bluetooth functionality is also very easy and well programmed.

Quality. Quality. Quality.
From the packaging to the features, well beyond expectations at the price. First off, packaging was like what I’d get if it was a $1000 pair of speakers, much better than styrofoam, the package could likely sustain a 10 foot onto concrete without any damage to the speakers. Sound quality is not audiophile but with Bluetooth you’re not going to hear the difference anyway. Very good sound, better than the wired bookshelf speakers I’m replacing. Controls are simpler than what is shown in product image (no knobs). Paired with an iPad just by pressing Power and then BT on remote, then selecting the speakers in the Bluetooth section of the Settings app. After that I can turn the speakers off and on, play/pause, prev/next track on the intuitive remote. I consider it intuitive because it was easy to see what I needed to do, and I never guessed wrong on anything I tried to do. Other features can be controlled as well, but Bluetooth is the only need I have. I used my own 16 gauge speaker wire so I could have 16′ (4.8m) rather than the 8′ (2.4m) included. Highly recommended at $80.

Value Proposition
I have been living with these speakers for several weeks now and I am quite pleased. Reasonable sound, great value. These are definitely near field speakers. At high volume, treble is too sibilant and quickly fatiguing. Bass has some punch but gets fairly muddy at the lows. I believe they are rated down to 54 – 3.5” woofer. These speakers will not fill a moderate to large room with sound. Mine are set 3 feet from a back wall, 4 feet apart, toed in slightly to hit the listener position about 4 feet out. Separation is good, but soundstage is flat – nothing up front or behind and little dispersion of the mids and treble. They appear well made – feels solid and are heavy for their size. They are butt-ugly and have 5 orange indicator lights that are hideous. RCA, Toslink and Bluetooth connectivity – I’m running RCA out of a TV and BT out of a laptop. Remote is good, BT connectivity good.I live in a studio apartment and never listen loud. Clarity of the mids is excellent at moderate to low volumes and bass is present and pleasant. For my use case these speakers are excellent. This price for powered BT speakers is remarkable. Will they last? Well, made in China so we shall see. With the above considerations – highly recommended.

Vintage look with new age tech!
If you’re into new age technology but long for the vintage feel these speakers are right up your alley! I purchased these on an impulse seeing the quality and look of an old school countertop stereo and they delivered on more than just the eye appeal. Sound quality is crisp and clear with a great volume range that has no raspy distortion to it. The bass in the 4 inch subs is just right paired with the mid and high range tones. The connectivity via bluetooth, optical input, additional sub port and remote control al make these old school speakers rock with new age technolgy. Put these on your buying list. I rate these 10/10.

Easy and great value/sound
These are really pretty, the wood veneer is very nice, and they look a lot more expensive than they are. The sound is also pretty amazing, we have a pair of Edifer speakers in our living room for our turntable and TV, and so far I can’t really tell the difference. I imagine if we crank the sound up loud enough, I might be able to tell then, but since these are in my home office, it’s not necessary. I think these are amazing value for the price. The Bluetooth connected immediately and seamlessly with my laptop, but I haven’t yet been able to connect to my iPhone. The RCA cord did not work to connect to my laptop, but that may be for some reason I just don’t understand not being super techy. 😜 But since the Bluetooth works amazingly, I don’t really care. They also work great playing shows and movies on my laptop (extended to a monitor)- the sound timing and quality are just great. It’s possible that some people may be able to detect a difference in sound quality or something, but honestly, it sounds amazing to me. I love music and play the piano and clarinet. I’m not tone deaf and quality matters to me. I’ve been playing John Williams and Tchaikovsky channels on Pandora all day, and without missing a beat every (very different, widely ranged) song sounds awesome on these speakers. I’m sure you can get something better if you spend a lot more money, but I don’t think you’ll find anything even 1/4 as good as these for this price range (or as pretty).

These suck. Don’t buy them.
In terms of detail they’re fine. My cellist roommate wouldn’t listen to classical through them but they’re fine enough for my use which is 90% electronic, pop, rock and roll, and hip hop. Bass is punchy enough from bookshelf speakers, I’d still recommend a sub if you can fit it in the budget, but that goes without saying.HOWEVER, the hiss when audio is playing is insufferable. You can tune them to not hiss when idle, but imagine listening to music except the lower 20% of volume is muted by a “baseline” static. That’s what these do. A good demo song of this effect is the intro of Everlong. I tested this with bluetooth and a shielded 3.5mm audio cable so yes, it is the speakers not my source. In terms of aesthetics they’re… Fine. The wood veneer they use is a really odd color, and they put their annoying logo on the grille but they look alright from ten feet. What I cannot forgive, however, is the retina burning LEDs. It’s clever that they’re hidden by the veneer, but they’re so god damn bright and they’re on all the time anyways so who cares? I just pulled the speaker apart and unplugged the daughter board’s ribbon cable from the main board. This will also turn off the IR sensor, so just set your settings before you do this. The remote is a funny addition. You cant change anything without besides volume and mute so don’t lose it I guess.Again, don’t buy these.

Great for the size!
Let me just preface by saying I am not in any way an audiophile; I like good sounding speakers and that’s pretty much as far as my sound critique can go. That said, I am very pleased with these speakers. I ordered the smaller 3.5 inch woofer model (which does not have output for a subwoofer if that is important to you, get the 4 inch model for that), and I was pleasantly surprised by the sound that these relatively small speakers are putting out. I use them in my bedroom, and they are great for a relatively small space like that. I don’t know how well they’d perform in a large living space, but they sound great for the price that I got them at for Black Friday. Another thing I love is the versatility of inputs for the speaker, it has options for Bluetooth, Aux, AV (cord to a 3.5mm jack included), optical (cord included), and coaxial inputs. The remote and button on the top of the unit let you change the source, so you could have multiple inputs at the same time and switch between them super easily. I plan to have them hooked up to my Audio-Technica turntable and a Roku TV. I’m very pleased!

Better than expected
I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered these bluetooth bookshelf speakers, but I must say I’m so happy that I did. The sound isn’t audio file quality, but I think most people will be very happy with the sound quality that they provide. I like the fact that you get two speakers instead of one speaker with two channels built in. You can really hear the stereo separation between the channels if you separate the speakers by 10 feet or more. Unfortunately they don’t give you enough speaker wire so order additional speaker wire if you want to get the full stereo experience. I’m primarily using the bluetooth function, but it has auxiliary and optical inputs so they can be connected to a TV or other devises directly instead of relying on the bluetooth function. Optical and standard RCA cables are provided as well. It also has an output for a powered subwoofer which is a feature I will probably exploit in the future. The bluetooth connection to my phone was easy and my phone found and paired with the speakers right away. The remote control has all the functions you need. The best tip I can give if you buy these speakers is to position them as high up to the ceiling as possible which seams to amplify the sound. I must also add that the packaging is really good and the chances of these speakers getting damaged in shipping is almost zero.

Sound good when they come on
I didn’t know when I bought them that one of the “features” of these speakers is that they turn off when the volume is too low and then come back on when the signal returns. This means that you miss the first half a second of the sound it is not constant. This is bareable for music and other sounds that are constant, but for intermittent sounds (like sound effects during a game), you constantly miss the first half a second of the sound and it gets annoying after a while. If the sound signal is too low, they wont come on at all. I thought there was a problem with them until I turned up the sound on my PC and then all of a sudden I heard the speakers come on. Just poor design.

Look nice, good value, good sound
Purchased these speakers for our record player and because it had blue tooth connectivity. Sound quality is good (not great) especially at highest volumes there tends to some distortion but for our one bedroom apartment the sound is plenty loud and they look very nice. They connect to our devices easy enough, no major complaints.

Best Purchase
This has got to be one of the best purchases I have ever purchased. I can’t believe the price of these speakers. They are a bargain and high quality.

Nice speakers but…
The speakers were nice except the cord connecting the speakers together was too short for the shelf I put them on and I had to buy a longer speaker cable to connect them. I don’t like buying things and than having to spend more money to use them where I want. 4/5 stars for that issue otherwise I would have given 5/5.

great sounding speakers for the price
for what they are and how much they were they sound great. They hook up to multiple bluetooth devices and through cables.

Good bang for your buck $
Sounds great, plenty of inputs. Needs tone controls, instead of the lame pre-set settings. Amazon does not sell the 5” woofer version which has the aforementioned controls. That I found out for myself when I bought this system and the generic manual eluded to other models that did! Had I known that, I would have bought the other one instead! Shame on Amazon for that.
