Works as an isolator, but you also need another pair of RCAs to use it
I had a lot of alternator whine and other noise coming through my speakers after installing an amp that did not change regardless of what volume I had my headunit at. I thought that it was a ground loop issue so I bought this isolator, and another isolator that could simply plug in-line with my existing RCA cable (female in, male pigtail out). I wanted two different styles of isolators so I could figure out if one worked better than the other. Since I had two sets of RCAs to isolate, having 2 different isolators seemed like a reasonable approach.Well, in my case, neither ground loop isolator worked for my issue (because it wasn’t actually a ground loop problem, not the fault of this product). In terms of sound quality, I didn’t do any frequency response testing or back-to-back comparisons with this ground loop isolator. However, this isolator did not alter the audio signal in any way that I could tell by ear which is exactly what you want. I would continue to use this isolator over the other one that I purchased because it didn’t alter the sound, but I don’t have a ground loop issue so I took it out. Now, my one complaint about this ground loop isolator is that it uses female RCAs on both the input and the output. That means I had to get a second pair of RCA cables in order to use the isolator. The other isolator I purchased had female RCAs for the input and male RCAs on a short pigtail for the output meaning I could simply plug my existing RCA cable into it and then the pigtail into my amp without the need for a second RCA cable. If this isolator had that instead, I think it would be a 5-star product. As for the root cause of my noise, it turned out it was the RCA outputs on the headunit. I had to ground any one of the (4) RCA outputs on my headunit to the metal chassis of the headunit itself to get rid of all noise. Grounding them anywhere else led to some of the noise coming back and playing through the speakers.

Kind of works…
Was hoping to use this to get the line buzz noise coming out of the RCA audio out jacks on my TV.There is a small amount of reduction (could be my imagination) but not enough to make it worth buying again.
