Atrocious Speaker Design and Low Storage
I’ve had this phone for about a year and a half and I already need to replace it. It’s always had issues with detecting my voice.Which is a major issue when my family lives far away and many of my doctor’s appointments are done by phone. Also: It’s a phone. It should be able to do the phone part well, shouldn’t it?Well, I searched for the mic a few months ago to figure out where I should talk into and it wasn’t the little hole on the front. It was on the BACK of the phone. Y’know, on the opposite side from the speaker. Why would ANYONE think that’s a good idea!? Especially when most people have cases because phones nowadays are so! Fragile! And slippery!?My phone case does have a sizeable hole in the back to accommodate for it but it still muffles it. So I have to take the case off to use my phone. And plug in headphones to fix not being physically able to put both my speaker and mic against my head at the same time. And position my mouth in the exact way. That STILL isn’t enough to make it useable! What am I gonna do when I have a phone job interview!?My other major issue is that between the system storage and uninstallable Google apps I don’t even want it has FAR less space than advertised. Why did I even bother to pay extra for extra storage anyways? I met the cap within a month and I’ve been constantly cleaning my phone to have enough space to use it since. So the amount of apps I can have is limited, which is becoming more and more of a problem when every place wants to replace basic services with an app.Speaking of: The QR reader is all but non-functional. And people aren’t printing website URLs next to the QR codes anymore. This made it FAR harder to apply for jobs at my last job fair.I will NEVER buy a phone with Google software again and I’m considering steering clear of Motorola too.

Not The Last One
My first Motorola and my first refurbished. Yes, I’d buy again!I cannot tell this is not a new phone. It looks and works great. I’m still getting used to Android Pie, but I’m liking that more each day.Everything on this phone is fast and the battery lasts well over a day. The camera works better and snaps a shot faster than expected. Yes, it’s not a good low light camera, but it doesn’t claim to be either. But I’d say a good camera at this price point. For comparison, this phone replaced a Samsung Galaxy J1 which is quite old in smartphone years. I’m sure the newer Samsungs are MUCH improved, but this Motorola, at only 2 years newer, kicks the J1’s butt in every way. It is larger and heavier making the the J1 feel like a baby smartphone. lol.The more I read about Motorola smartphones, the more impressed I get. NOT because they compete with high end and high dollar phones, but because their mid range phones are so good for the asking priceIf you’re on a tight smartphone budget, Motorola should definitely be considered. For now, they are my brand of choice.

If you are buying used or renewed
I know through experience a 3000 mAh battery will last me almost 2 days……… This “renewed” Moto X4 does Not. I can Boot it up from charging all night, it’s at 100%, 98% after boot up…… After 15 minutes of surfing Facebook and checking messages it’s down to 92% ……. A NEW phone with a 3000 mAh should only be down to about 95 or 96% at least. …. It will be down in the 80% range before I leave to go to work, by that evening it will probably be down to around 40% battery and before I go to bed it will be down around 20% battery. I honestly feel I’m getting half the battery performance as what a new battery would give. I have used 1800 mAh 2200 mAh 2400 mAh and 3,000 mAh and I believe a 32 mAh……. This particular phone I got in renewed condition gives me the performance of a 2000mah at best. …. I don’t just stay on my phone I’m a fairly light phone user. …. Looking back I really wish I had spent the extra $80 and bought a new Moto X4 , because I know a new 3000mah battery will last at least two to three years, THIS battery leaves me with unsure this and doubt that it will last a year.

Great phone at a great price
I finally broke my old Motorola phone and bought this one as a replacement. It was super easy to set up, works great, is responsive, doesn’t hang, has plenty of space (with an extra SD card slot). Love love love it. Great price point!

Hard to get responce from touchscreen
Ive tried this phone for a month and it’s horrible because you have to push any button several times to get a response. It should not have to be pressed with force to get responce.
