Great phone. Great price.
This phone is very good. The only issues I’ve had are battery life is only one day and that it can be too sensitive to touch at times. For instance it will swipe out of a game because of the back and forward placement. Definitely worth the money though. Looks like it was never used.

Order with caution
I ordered this phone to replace my mom‘s phone when it showed up at her house. It was broken. The back was popping off and it had no Sim card tray. We returned that one then ordered another one and it came without a Sim card tray is easier to order a new Sim card tray, then to deal with shipping that one back to get another one.

Opened up the box and was all ready to go within an hour. Been 5 years since I’ve gotten a new phone and I’m really happy with this phone. Like new packaging and phone condition was perfect. I was leary on purchasing a refurb phone but happy I took the chance and couldn’t beat the price!

It’s a good value. The battery is slightly reduced sure to previous use but otherwise seemed like new quality. It’s not the best flagship phone but it compares to a flagship phone of maybe three years ago with better battery life.

DO NOT BUY. THESE ARE ALL STOLEN PHONES THAT ARE TIED TO A VERIZON ACCOUNT. I tried to use my SIM card and use the phone, and it’s all locked to Verizon. Called Verizon, the phones actually STOLEN. Then I simply followed instructions and YOU CAN ONLY USE AMAZON LOCKER to return. Then you do, and AMAZON LIES AND SAYS YOU RETURNED THE WRONG ITEM. TERRIBLE Video Quality
The media could not be loaded.
I returned the first phone I got because I thought, The video quality cannot possibly be this bad. It must be because this refurbished phone is damaged. But nope. Got my replacement in the mail and it’s equally terrible. It’s such a shame because I love that Motorola phones have a function where you can give the phone two shakes and the flashlight function comes on. I know that’s a small thing but I use it constantly, I mean like every day for one reason or another. But the video quality is so bad that it’s gotta go. You can see in the video I uploaded how the footage sort of “shifts” during recording. It also blurs, vibrates and shakes.

WiFi and cell antenna seems poor
I got this phone to replace the same model because of the charging port on my old phone is showing it’s age, the wifi signal and cell tower signal on this new unit is very poor. Decided to keep it for video purposes as transferring video is not an issue.

Updated My Digital Life
Phones are such a personal device that nearly everyone on the planet uses.I feel blessed being able to buy this Moto G Power after years of using a sad ZTE “Obama Phone” and a Samsung J3 Luna Pro for WiFi only. I almost bought a SIM card for the Samsung J3 as it still works well, until I compared it to the Moto G Power, then it’s pretty slow on doing everything. Still good for running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. I am keeping it for a backup WiFi only device.The only thing I don’t like about the Moto G Power is it makes all my other digital devices seem allot slower, even my PC. The sound on the Moto G Power is amazing and so is the display. Two features that kept me from buying the Moto G Power 2121 version. I do not use a phone camera too often to want to trade up to a better camera at the expense of better sound and display. It has always struck me odd that a phone’s camera can shoot at HD1080, but only display HD 720. Maybe I am missing something as my geek status has slipped over the years.In time I may find something I do not like about the Moto G Power (2020), but for now I cannot think of a single thing. I have always liked Moto’s as most of their versions give reasonable tech at a reasonable price.As for the ZTE “Obama phone”, I can’t wait to be 100% rid of that thing. I think the free phone is a great much needed program to always have for us poor folks to use when in need even if you’re stuck using some of the worst phones on the planet. The ZTE N817 was better than nothing, using Android 4.4.4 and 1.7 GB’s of user space. I had a tad over 500 MB’s of space left. I was afraid to add a SD card as it would probably overheat trying to read the data.With the Moto G Power it’s like I now have a very happy new lease on my digital life.

Crack screen
The only reason I am giving 3 star is because the screen cracked,I saw a little line then it started getting bigger and it is in a phone case, but overall I love the phone,it’s my second one the first one just got dark on the screen and just decided to get the same one, the battery life on this is excellent.

Battery doesn’t last 2 days, much less 3 days
The reason someone buys this phone is for the long battery life. It does make it 1 day, but not 2. Besides that, some of the motorola addons are annoying and cannot be removed. The audio jack is a little loose, but always works.I don’t really use it like a phone. Don’t have a phone plan. It is basically a wifi-only device that connects to my SIP service for calls and gets used as an off-line GPS.No other complaints, just wish the battery met expectations.

Sound/Audio died
It worked for a few months but I first couldn’t hear other person on video calls, then by seven months there was no audio whatsoever. I can’t return it. My first one didn’t work thoroughly either with sound both ways. I think that they need to do a recall.

Bargain Price for a Capable Phone
I’ve had my own 64G Moto G Power for years, and my spouse also has one. When my mother-in-law wrecked her phone, we searched for something with a reasonable price and found this Moto G available — for roughly 25% of what we paid for our current phones. We took it out of the packaging, and it looked as good as new, complete with its own charger. Took it over to our carrier, and in about five minutes we were done. Because mom-in-law allowed her old phone to do backups, a few hours later she was fully back in business. The next time I need to replace my own phone, I will probably look for a “renewed” phone.

Great phone, good 🔋 lots of storage
Phones battery is awesome to say the least. When I’m super busy and not able to use it much the battery has lasted about 2 1/2 days. Charged from dead to 75 in about an hour an a halfThe cameras are awesome. Only gripe is at the night the shots can be a little pixelated.The os is really nice and fast, not a whole lot of clutter.Plenty of storage for all my music and games.The customizability of the phone is nice too, option in developer options to change the shape of your icons, color of your headers and the font.And last but not least, apparently the g power (2020) and g8 power are pretty much the same phone. Same specs, has the same 4g bands. I only say this cause I ordered the g8 power and got sent the g power. Oh well.

My favorite so-far
Since I just received this phone a couple days ago it won’t be a review for reliability, but I have two other Motorola phones similar to this one, and they have been ok so far. I have service through TracFone and I bought all three of my Motorola phones at Amazon unlocked. I then bought three different SIM cards for .99 cents at TracFone., one for AT&T, one for T-Mobile, and one for Verizon for this phone, and so far whenever I travel, I’m able to get service. Great for Emergency also. This phone came with Android 10, but the second day it upgraded to Android 11. It also downloaded security patches to April 1 2021. So far my favorite phone.

Great buy
I was looking for a phone last minute because my old phone suddenly died. I wanted a phone with a larger battery capacity as my old phones always needed to be recharged. This phone can last up to three days.. Amazing! But if you’re constable using your phone and/or if you have apps which drain the battery it will be less. So far I am able to get a full day on a full charge so I’m still happy. The phone isn’t as fancy as others and probably has less memory but isn’t too bad. Overall I am happy with this phone even after several months now

It’s LOCKED to Verizon’s network!
I just received this phone today and found that it is NOT unlocked. This is a Verizon branded phone and will not accept my SIM card despite the listing stating that it was “Unlocked for GSM”. Sadly, I’ll have to return it.

The phone I got looked great by was carrier locked to Xfinity, since this was advertised as an unlocked phone I am more than a little disappointed. What a waste of my time.

I bought a Motorola g power loved it for the battery life. It worked great. And it has finally gotten progressively slower on a very clean machine that is updated and well taken care of. This is evidence of planned obsolescence a very unethical form of commerce for those who work very hard for their money. Do not buy.

Very Long Lasting
I’ve had one since new. The high sound quality is one of my favorite features. The best thing about the phone though, is the long battery life. Even now, the battery life is incredible, not having significantly diminished since new. It’s not become laggy performance-wise either, probably due to the near-stock Android.

DEFECTIVE CHARGER JACK
I don’t know who would want such an old model phone now, but DO NOT. The charger jack works fine at first and then gradually it gets harder and harder to plug the charger in until finally you have to push it in as hard as it can and then if you move the phone a millimeter the charger just falls out of the plug. I know it’s a defect in the model and not just the phone I had, because I replaced it with another and had the same problem. Never buying a Motorola Phone again.

No wifi calling
This phone doesn’t allow wifi calling. I was told by Motorola that this phone was not offered in the US. It is not sold in the US on the Motorola website. That is the last time I will buy anything from Motorola. As I’m an IT professional and people ask for my opinion, I will steer them away from all Motorola products.

thegadgetdeals is a bad seller
I bought the Moto G power phone renewed from Amazon from this user: thegadgetdeals.Please do not buy it from them as it is locked to verizon, even though the description says unlocked and can be used with Sprint. I went to the Sprint store and they could not help me. Sprint advised me to call Verizon. Verizon attempted to unlock it two times but they cannot either because the phone is locked to a number from the seller. Amazon customer service as well as Motorola cannot help with this issue either. After all these steps, I emailed the buyer and a few days later, they still have not got back to me.

Phone arrived carrier locked to Xfinity.
The first problem was figuring out what I was ordering. The title says “Moto G8” and the description says “Moto G Power”, which is the one I wanted and eventually confirmed this one to be. The phone that arrived looked great and was definitely the right model. Unfortunately, it was also carrier locked to Xfinity and therefore useless as an unlocked phone. Kudos to Amazon for a relatively painless return process and quick refund, but at the end of it all I’m still without a phone.

STOLEN!! Beware!!
STOLEN! I put my sim card for verizon and it locked my account. I had to call fraud department and have them unsuspend my account. I do not recommend. I ended up buying new from actual motorola amazon seller. No issues with that one.

Randomness as a proxy for Intuitiveness.
I still default to Android as my preferred platform but having heard George Gilder’s commentary on the developers of artificial intelligence is that they have found it impossible to make a computer intuit, which makes sense but as a proxy they introduce randomness and call it intuition. I find that the last few generations of Androids I’ve owned seem to be programmed to try to guess what I want them to do which is almost never correct. One of the worst offenses is the consistent tendency to turn the screen to landscape while on YouTube even though there’s no reason based on the position of the phone or the phone’s movements. It’d be much preferred if the phone just had a normally functioning position sensor that responded reliably to the positon of the phone. My latest phone is less reliable in this sense than my previous One Action and Turbo. Other than that, battery life on this G8 is excellent and I know the platform so I’ll keep working with Android. Also, wish I could dump gestures and go back to nav buttons.

Good buy
I took the new moto g to Verizon to switch out the SIM card and other things, they did not charge me a dime. It work very well except for a minor glitch with the messaging. I should have that worked out soon. Also the 3 day battery only gets about 2days. If my wife didn’t open so many apps it might last a little longer. The best thing was it’s price. A bargain compared to what Verizon wanted for the same phone. The photo shows a nice case I also purchased on Amazon.

Issue with the phone’s Verizon past
The condition of the phone is good physically. The phone is fairly slow and has Verizon’s bloat ware on it still. The service is also impeaded by Verizon I believe when using TMobile. My calling service is terrible in comparison to the unlocked version of the 2020 Moto G Power I replaced with this. Go spend your money else where.

Do not buy from this Seller
Phone came without a SIM Card Tray!! I wrote vendor thru Amazon and got zero response so I had to buy another SIM Card tray. The battery is half drained at about 4 hours and will not last 3 days! They must have been joking. Phone was also dirty and had a very dirty screen cover on it.I’ve bought several refurbished phones but so far this has been by far my worst experience! Extremely dissatisfied and I don’t have the time to fuss with returning it.

This phone lags and doesn’t even pick up internet signal or even receive phone calls when I’m online on this phone. Everything is slow about this phone and it freezes up this was a waste of money and I would not buy this phone if I were you I have not even had it for 2 months I have not even had it for 2 monthsUpdate*** I wish I could take the one star away. This company doesn’t even deserve that! They want me to pay for the return shipping to get my refund. I didn’t ship out a defective phone, so I shouldn’t have to pay to send this garbage back

2020 Moto G Power Unlocked
a nice 2300 × 1080 6.4″ screen.64GB storage & 4GB RAM.Snapdragon 665 8-core processor.battery life is insane; with minimal daily use(a few calls, txts, a bit of light gaming & ~30mins browsing) it takes 3 days before the battery hits 25%.not much fillerjunk software installed that needed to be removed.works great with my T-Mobile SIM card.”renewed” version of the phone but came in new packaging with all accessories and zero signs of wear.the only con i would mention is the weight of the phone. it’s much heavier than all my previous phones. i would guess this is due to the battery and it’s crazy life. still not heavy enough to make usage difficult in any way though.all in all, so far it has been a great purchase.

Another “Unlocked” phone that wasn’t. Olympic Wireless
I wanted a highly rated long running unlocked phone to replace my eight year old Motorola Droid Maxx on Verizon. There are a lot of unhappy people with new phones. When this phone arrived it said Motorola G Power (2020), FULLY UNLOCKED. The battery was almost dead so I wanted to charge it before I set it up, anticipating updates. In the box with the G Power phone, which uses a USB-C, was a Micro-USB charging cord. Fortunately I had one in a drawer. After charging I tried to transfer the verified compatible SIM card. I kept getting a message to insert an Xfinity SIM card. The phone WAS NOT FULLY UNLOCKED. I even spent money on an unlocking service but since I didn’t get an unlocking screen … ever … they couldn’t help me. Thankfully I bought this phone on Amazon and not the suppliers website. Olympic you can have your useless phone back.

tough, easy to perate extra long batery life.
I dropped the phone from my bike, no cover and a large SUV ran directly over it. The screen cracked, but it continued to work. I do average screen time, but not much streaming and I usually get 2.5-3 days before I have to charge. With fast charging it’s fully don in about 2 hurs or so, and with one hour I can go for another day.
