You get what you pay for
I updated the firmware, and adjusted the settings for several days before writing this review. My conclusion is just that the screen quality is poor.There are light areas across the screen, by which I mean there are areas where the backlight is coming through just a little lighter than the rest of the screen. While it’s not super noticeable during a brightly lit scene, it’s very noticeable in darker scenes that there are splotches across the screen that are less black than the rest. It also becomes perceptible when gaming, as motion from left to right makes it feel visible as the image changes ever so slightly as it moves across an over-backlit area. The only solution to this light leakage appears to be to lower the brightness of the screen. This leads to another issue, which is that the screen only looks correct when the brightness and contrast are at or near maximum (100/100). This means that lowering the brightness to correct the first issue isn’t really a viable solution.Perhaps I got a defective unit and not all of these TV’s have this problem with light leakage/bright spots on the background. However, mine certainly has that issue, and I’m sorely disappointed with my purchase.

Not SUPER high end, but a Greta TV
First of all, 86 inches is ridiculously huge so make sure you have the wall space if you’re gonna mount it lol. So this is a 4K Smart TV. 120hz is a great refresh rate. What the average person is used to seeing is 60hz, so when you watch TV or movies you’ll notice the way the people move looks smoother and more realistic. One of the Amazon answers days this TV doesn’t support 4K @ 120hz for gaming but it actually does, as confirmed by my Xbox Series X settings menu. There are almost no TVs this good, this size at this price.

We took the television out the box, plugged it in, and discover the screen is damage
The media could not be loaded.
What we did like that it was easy to assemble what we don’t like that there’s damage to the monitor of ready. Can’t believe it came in broken. Our son was excited to use it tonight but can’t.

Fantastic 4k 86 inch TV for the $$!
Best value 4k 86-inch TV hands down! Upscales to 4k, smooths out the frame rates, and looks great doing it. Blacks are a bit grey, but for the price, I’m okay with it.

Amazon will never see another penny from me after this.
This is more a review for Amazon rather than the product. LG always makes a good product and I’m sure this TV is no different. The picture shown is how my TV arrived. After talking with customer service the best they can do for me is a refund AFTER I have to repackage this enormous TV. This TV takes at least 2 people to move and they cant even get me a replacement. I have to send this back which is 5 days away from their earliest pickup, then it will take ANOTHER 7 business days to receive me refund. This is what you would except from a large corporation that literally cares nothing about there customers. This will be my last purchase from Amazon and I will be sure to leave this review plastered anywhere that will accept it.

Worth every penny! Clear screen! No light bleeding through screen or dark spots !

At the time of purchaseing this tv there was only 1 review, and at a lower price, but after extensive research and owning the slightly smaller 75in version of this LG smart tv that I’ve been completely satisfied with and is only a yesr old. I decided this 86in would fit my needs then would use the 75in in another room in the house.. Let’s start from delivery to unboxing then set up where flawless, can’t believe the negative reviews or being damaged apon deliverey. I personally can’t say anything bad about this tv its packed with features and a good detailed clear picture just go into settings and fine tune the picture settings ect. And you won’t be disappointed.. also when watching the LG channels the movies are super clear and detailed just as expected… oh yeah did I mention football games look great too just make sure the settings for sports are tailored to your liking. Like smooth motion mode works great for sports.. just make sure you have good cables when connecting this tv so you get the most from it.. I currently have good HDMI cables and running FIBER OPTIC from the tv through my klipsch home theater system. Even Bluetooth/ wifi work with no problems.. bottom line don’t cheap out when hooking your tv up… Updated with a short video showing just how good the picture is! Go steelers 😃 Update a month after having time to enjoy this tv its better than expected! At the time of the first review there where only1 review now there’s 26, alot of broken apon deliverey and others having issues.. so far no issues here and can’t stress how good this tv is really is ! It’s a shame there are so many broken or unhappy people out there! When buying anything on Amazon i always check out the reviews before I decide on purchasing, but when it comes to this monster of a tv trust the positive reviews! It definitely has a stunning 4k quality picture like I said in the beginning use quality cables or fiber optics.. FYI: having only an antenna when watching your local stations actually Brodcast clear as streaming movies through wifi or Bluetooth!

Do Not Buy **UPDATE**
The screen was cracked when we got it. If you live in a rural area plz do not buy. It will arrive broken. 0/10 review. The scheduled pick up never happened and has been put off once again. Buyer beware***Update***after over 1 month of trying to get things set right they finally picked it up and gave me a refund immediately

Great TV!! Till I paid too much by only a few days!! 🙁
This was a 5 star review. I bought this TV on Nov 2nd for $1199. IThe 86 inch was delivered with care and on time. Unboxing was perfect and it turned on when I plugged it in. The screen is beautiful and I had no dead pixels. Very bright if you want it to be. Great picture and great sound. I am happy with it so far. I loved the price too! Good deal I think.

Big / Quality/ good price
Upgraded our living room tv from a 70” to this 86” tv. For the size and price this tv is hard to beat! Excellent picture and feels like good quality. If mounting on the wall, make sure to have extra help around. TV is not super heavy but awkward to hold on to due to the size. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tv in the 80” and up range! (This review is after a week of using it)

Buyer Beware, No ESPN+ onboard Capability
I purchased this TV to be a mobile sports screen for parties. Unfortunately, they don’t have an app for ESPN! I wanted everything onboard for simplification. Looks like I have to add a Firestick or AppleTV. Not a huge problem, so 4 Stars. Also, it overheats FAST if in sunlight.

Review LG UQ7590 86-Inch Class UHD Smart TV
I’m very excited to buy this BIG TV during Thanksgiving week with very GOOD price! However, there are few things, which can be BIG turn off for those who really expecting perfect TV with this size. You got what you paid for. Again, this is LED-UHD TV, Not QNED or OLED. The QLED/OLED TV will double/triple the cost.If you are expecting 8k resolution and no white light bleed aka perfect TV, then QLED/OLED is way to go.The only thing, which bothers me is the white light bleed at the corner of the TV during night/dark scene (see attached pic). The probability to have frequent or long dark/night scenes is very small, so no big deal. Again, it is still a good buy!PS: The other annoying issue is the LG pop-up/ads during the first 2-3 weeks. The remote control is not that friendly/intuitive. You will learn to like it after 3 weeks, just like anything else.

I love the sound, picture quality and overall look of the placement of my TV in my home.. I would like to comment on the remote – it is way too small for my hands and can lead to inadvertent selection and to its credit the LG responds. Make a larger lighted remote and this review would have been 5 STARS!!I switched from a Samsung TV, one because of the remote and two because of the overall functionality of Samsung. After viewing the LG for only a week or so I will never ever go back to a Samsung. Thanks LG! I just ordered the Magic Remote…

Unpleasant experience with the delivery, Vertical light banding issue.
Very unpleasant experience with the delivering company. First it was scheduled for delivery on certain date and time. Since some one needs to be present at the time of delivery I had to manage my time for that but right before the delivery date they called me and told me they need to reschedule and gave me date a week form the previous date. Day before the second delivery date I received notification saying “Attempted delivery encountered some issue will try again” why would they attempt delivery before delivery date? and I didn’t receive any call or notification. Well finally received the the tv. While watching the sports noticed there is big issue with vertical light banding. Black vertical shadow were clearly visible. Bright light is visible in one corner when its all blank dark screen. Don’t know if this issue is defect or normal. Beside this issue Tv is good for the price.

Absolutely Bargain of the Century TV for the Size, Design, and Great Colors!
We just recently bought and have the Costco version of this delivered to our house, and we are highly satisfied! Although this is not an OLED or a Sony, it still features LG’s IPS technology that was one of the best just few years ago before OLED came out. The black is indeed not as black but who cares? Viewers pay attention to what produces the lights, not the dark places! At this price and 4-5% back depending on where you buy it, it’s an AMAZING deal! A similar TV of this size was more than $2000 or even $4000 plus! Now it’s just $1000 especially when you consider inflation, free shipping etc!!!It checks literally ALL boxes unless you want absolutely best of the best OLED and have deep pocket. This is the best you can get for such HUGE size with this good quality!!!

My OLED LG has a great picture this one is amazingly is just as good if not a little better. Even the home theater technician that set it up for us said he was so impressed and could not believe with the deep blacks and vivid colors it was LED and not OLED. Extremely satisfied.

Best Budget tv in the market checks all the necessary gaming capabilities. 120 hz 2.1 hdmi vrr low latency and amd freesync. Im very impressed with this tv i wasnt expecting much but with a little tweak in the settings this tv pops. No regrets!!

Do not Buy – User Agreement issues
I was excited about receiving this television today, until I spent hours on the phone with LG customer service trying to get the user agreements downloaded. We tried everything, and I spoke with 3 different people. We tried downloading them through the television, through a mobile device, and in the end, nothing worked. I researched this issue online and saw that it is a recurring issue. So this may be a great tv for the price, but you’ll have to muster the patience to navigate the set up and be lucky enough to have a hot spot that works or find a friend with one that works. It’s exhausting and set up shouldn’t be this painful.

Light bleeding/ shadowing on screen.
Light bleeding and shadows on the screen make it impossible to view anything. Got this at Bestbuy and they refused to help me. Contacted LG for service and they too refused to help. LG referred me to a local service center only to find out that service center also refused to help by saying they did not have the man power to handle this TV size. I was given the ru around every time by everyone. I will stay away from LG products from now on. Samsung is best.

Great picture, great size, great function great TV!
I’ve had this TV about a week and it works perfect. It arrived much sooner than expected and was delivered right into my garage by straight truck delivery in perfect condition. This thing is massive, has great picture quality and the 120hz refesh rate is a very noticeable improvement compared to my previous 60hz Vizio. It’s a heavy, sturdy and well made tv. The remote seems on the cheaper side but works fine. The smart features are adequate, fast and what I expected any new smart tv to have. I paid $1000 for it and it’s worth every Penny. If any problems occur or my opinion changes in the next couple years I will update this review accordingly. Enjoy because I know I will!!

Excellent 86″ TV
Purchased to upgrade an aging LG 65″ TV that we moved to another room. Looked at a 75″ and 86″ TV before selecting the LG 86″. We are extremely happy with the size and quality! We sit approximately 10 feet front front and have chairs up to 45 degree angle off each side. All seats have a good viewing angle. Room has a lot of light from big windows. During day there is reflection from sun. Picture powers through the sun and we can still watch just fine. Every TV on the market would get a similar glare in our home. We can still watch TV.Our family does not use the TV for gaming or sports. The 120hz true motion is excellent on action movies. Colors are beautiful. Blacks are not grey; black and white backgrounds look good.At 100 pounds you need two people to install the TV on a wall. Recommend two for unboxing and placing on a table mount if not wall hanging.We do not use built-in LG TV smart features. Our use involves a roku, bluray, and over the air antenna. We stream through roku and love the experience. Also added a soundbar to fill room with sound that provided a theater experience. Highly recommend a soundbar with subwoofer. Rear speakers are a nice touch, although not required for a good sound experience.TV is highly recommended. Put in place, connect sound system, warm a bowl of popcorn, turn out the lights and enjoy a movie…

Black level of an old rear protector tv.
Great deal for an 86 inch tv. Now I know why. The black levels suck. Might as well buy a projector and screen. Don’t dare crank up a white image on it either. You will see black bars in the white field. But it’s big!
