high quality display, good while it lasted

great for multitasking with having multiple windows open without it being cramped. great image/video quality.lasted a little over a year before the screen would randomly black out. black outs would last anywhere from a split second to a few minutes until it finally stopped completely.

    good but…

The LG monitor is good, but when i use the speakers on this monitor, the audio plays at 2-3x speed. That includes videos as well if i have the audio playing from the speakers of this monitor. I’m not really sure how i can fix this. I really don’t want to return it because everything else is perfect but this aspect. The quality of this monitor is amazing, has a very wide screen and the picture quality is 10/10. I’m just sad about the audio part.Update: I never returned it because the audio got fixed, how? On it own. Not sure how but i’m glad it works!7 month update: it still works fine but it’s doing the 2-3x speed again:/ i don’t know why it does that, it was fine ever since it got fixed back in december but it just did it again. the quality is still amazing.

    Great business work monitor

Not a gamer. I like the monitor for working on Excel spreadsheets and Smartsheets too. You don’t need to scroll as much with the ultra wide screen. Great resolution too. Perfect for Office and web research.

    Some detractors but overall good

I purchased this to use with a Mac Mini M1. I wasn’t concerned about the split screen feature as I know how to dock windows in MacOS. I bought it because it is wide format. I also liked that it had Vesa mount holes and built in sound. Worked great OOB and I’ve had no real issues, but keep the following in mind:- The Mac Mini does not recognize any sound controls, so the menu bar control and keyboard cannot be used to change the volume. That’s OK, the volume control on the monitor is only a teensy bit further from me than the keyboard. I read somewhere this is an HDMI limitation more than a Mac limitation but I don’t know if I buy that. In any case, there are other options for sound and I usually use AirPods.- The I/O ports are VERY close to the VESA holes, so some mounts may not “work”. I got a carrier to attach the mini to the back and I had to install it sideways which is less than ideal. An arm would probably be fine though. I will most likely put the mini under the desk, so again no big deal.- If you use an app or play a game like WOW that prefers to be full screen, widescreen monitors can be finicky. I guess that’s why there’s a screen split feature. If you use a Mac like I do, you probably don’t need it. Which is good because finding the software was an exercise in frustration. Pro Tip: search Google, not LG’s site!

    Great affordable monitor with speakers

I love that this is 29” and it has screws to mount onto an arm. The speakers were the value proposition for me. Many monitor a within this price range do not offer speakers. The colors are also amazing for the price.

    Nice monitor, big stand

It’s a great monitor for having many things open. Great for spreadsheets. But the stand is big and kind of ugly. Wish it was black. Anyway, I replaced it with an adjustable clamp-on monitor arm.

Works great with Mac Mini M2

I love this monitor! I recently purchased the new Mac Mini M2 and was on the hunt for a monitor that was compatible with the system. After exhausting research I finally settled on a Samsung model that was absolute trash. The picture quality was terrible, the sound was decent but certainly not the best. I immediately sent it back and begin researching again and found this gem. The picture quality is fantastic, the speakers are excellent and I didn’t really have to mess with the specs when I first set it up. It was good to go. It was simple to put together and I am thoroughly pleased! I use it for working from home, streaming videos and movies and browsing the internet. It did take some getting used to the ultra wide aspect but if I’m ever in need of second monitor, I will definitely purchase again!

    Beautiful picture

One of my regular old monitors died, so I wanted to replace both with one ultra-wide screen. I chose this LG 29″ and am not disappointed at all. I love the vibrant and crisp colors, had to turn the brightness down quite a bit. Was surprised by the white backside, but who cares about the backside of their monitor?I couldn’t locate any installation manual, the disk with it only has some safety stuff on it, not relevant to setting up. I had a hard time getting it to display the recommended resolution. Uninstalled all display drivers in safe mode, reinstalled latest Intel 530 drivers, still stretched graphics. The monitor comes with an HDMI cable, but I had ordered a Display Port cable since I needed the HDMI for the TV. As soon as I plugged de DP cable it wanted to use that connection, but I couldn’t find any buttons on the device to make that selection. Finally I found the button on the bottom and I was able to switch to DP and automatically the correct resolution was selected. It would have been nice if LG had included a little support here instead of letting new users try to figure it all out by themselves.Lastly the stand… one word: crap! It can not be moved in any way and the screen leans over. It looks like LG made their savings here. At least it didn’t go at the cost of the screen itself. I had ordered an elbow arm for mount and the combination is fabulous. Freedom to move the screen in any which way desired. Worth the extra $25.I’ll be spending many happy hours playing with my new toys.

Great Crisp, Picture Quality and HDR10 Support

This monitor honestly blew my expectations out of the water. The 2560×1080 resolution looks crisp while providing vibrant color depth with good whites and solid blacks build into an IPS display. The built in HDR10 support really helps improve the overall picture quality more than I could’ve imagine as this is my first HDR monitor. Build quality is a little on the cheap feeling side with the plastic body and thick-ish bezel especially around the screen but looking past that, everything about this monitor feels great. I don’t know the quality of the stand as I went straight to mounting it on my wall. Games look amazing with the extra added detail to the world which is the main reason I went with an UWHD monitor. I recommend this monitor for anyone looking to getting into UWHD that wants a crisp and vibrant screen with HDR support. I couldn’t be happier. And this is moving down from a 28″ Samsung 4K monitor. Definitely worth it.

Very nice. LG knocked it out of the park on these.

I’ve been running multiple monitors for years and thought that was the ultimate in productivity, until I got these. I got two, so when putting windows side by side it’s like having 4 monitors, but looks much better and fewer cords. I like to run different operating systems, sometimes on different machines, and I’ve always thought input switching on monitors should be easier. A lot of monitors accept multiple inputs, but it’s not easy to use them with multiple things because you have to fumble around with too many, unmarked buttons, usually on the bottom or front of the monitors, and do a lot of trial and error to remember which combination of buttons will get you to inputs, which is up/down, which is select….and you have to do it quickly or the settings screen will time out if you take too long to think…then you have to start over. It’s been a crap design /UX flaw of monitors for YEARS.On these LG’s switching inputs is painless. One, centered, joystick control for settings is the way it should be done. I switch between display and HDMI ports easily so that I can have whatever OS I want up and running front and center. Or if running audio through them, the joystick is volume control. This design/feature alone makes these monitors worth trying.Everyone should adopt how LG does it.All in all I’m very happy with them, and for this price you can’t beat it. Highly recommend.

    Good Monitor

The media could not be loaded.

I grabbed the monitor at a nice discount, just too good a price to pass on it. At 29” it’s perfect for the small desk I have at home which I use only a few days of the week. The monitor only swivels left & right and tilts forward, but it doesn’t slide up ir down on stand; there’s another model with this option which coasts more, so beware. I’m making note of the stand as I didn’t find any of these details I’m about to explain; the TV stand is almost 9” in depth by 18.5” from end to end. The height of 16” and monitor length of 27” are correct. The monitor is a perfect size eliminating the need for double monitors. The quality is also good for me and I recommend using a DisplayPort if your laptop supports it. I’ve seen people complain about picture quality, but the display port helped a lot.

    Nice wide screen

The monitor has a good display, I don’t think it’s amazing but it’s much better than my 15 inch laptop screen. I can fit 4 windows on it and read them fine for coding or typing. The dimensions are off for full screen in most applications and a half screen works better, but it’s an ultra wide, so I expected it to be a wider ratio than most streaming and applications are set for.The screen will occasionally make a cracking sound when I’m using it, doesn’t bother me though and performance doesnr change. If you’re real particular about random noises then you might want to be aware of it.

    Great screen for the price!

I wanted a UW monitor for my home workstation instead of a dual monitor setup. I was on the fence about whether 29″ would be good enough and it certainly is. My laptop is 14″ and it’s like having 2 extended displays of roughly the same size. I did not expect the image quality to be as good as it is. It’s no OLED but honestly it’s great! The speakers are clear and LOUD, I keep them at about 25% and the sound quality is great in my opinion. For the price, this is an unbeatable value.

Not the best gaming monitor but excellent for all other purposes

I bought two of the 29″ monitors for the purpose of using one in the vertical position to code with and it’s worked out really well. Streaming movies and tv shows has been great, no complaints there. For those that are looking for a gaming monitor, this might not be the best choice. The monitor makes certain colors pop out more than others and overall gives it a bad look. With that said, if you take the time to tweak with all the display settings, you should be able to get some decent quality.Ultimately, for the price that these monitors are going for, I think they’re definitely worth it.

    good for office use

The widescreen monitor is great for office use. easy on the eyes. Does not really have a huge footprint. Its height is slightly less than that of a 24″ 16×9 monitor. You can have a webpage open on one side and a spreadsheet on the other which comes in super handy when filling out reports. I do wish it came with a higher adjustable stand but the stand it comes with is at best functional. Display is crisp and clear. Color levels are fine to me out of the box as I am used to a LG screen as my home desktop monitor is an older LG IPS led screen with similar response time. Monitor has 2 HDMI inputs plus a Display port input which comes in very handy when you have multiple screens at your workstation. The built-in speakers are just ok as I do not really use them much. The monitor does not have a USB hub built in like some monitors do these days which come in handy for flash drives. Does not work with some enterprise software that do not support the widescreen format and had I known that beforehand, I may not have purchased this monitor. I purchased this on a big price drop day as I had been looking at it a few days earlier for my work needs. I am happy with the overall purchase as the price has increased more than 25% after I bought it.

    Mini IMAX monitor

I purchased this for my new job because I had a little larger wide screen that I used for school and teaching. LG products have always held up pretty well. It shipped overseas with no issues and set up was easy. My only suggestion is pay attention to the screen height. I needed a monitor that was either height adjustable in order to fit on the desk that has a cabinet overhead, or one whose total height wouldn’t exceed the available workspace. My coworkers call it a mini IMAX screen because while it does fit and the length is great for split screen, the height of the screen compresses the documents and picture a little more than I would like. But that’s my fault for not realizing that 26” in wide screen meant like 8” screen height. It was inexpensive enough that if it lasts 3 years and doesn’t make it during a PCS move then it was worth the purchase. Used strictly as work computer for documents, spreadsheets, multiple windows in conjunction with a laptop.

a solid choice for those looking for a wide screen display

The LG UltraWide WFHD 29-Inch Computer Monitor is a solid choice for those looking for a wide screen display. The monitor boasts a 29-inch screen with a 2560×1080 resolution, providing a large and clear display for multitasking or creative projects. The WFHD resolution offers sharp and vivid images, and the monitor’s 21:9 aspect ratio offers more screen real estate than traditional 16:9 monitors. Additionally, the monitor’s ultra-wide viewing angle provides a consistent image quality from different positions. Overall, the LG UltraWide WFHD 29-Inch Computer Monitor is a reliable option for professionals or power users looking for a high-quality, wide-screen display.

    Working perfectly

The screen works fine, but I regret to not buy it a little bit bigger, when I use it on split screen the aspect ratio on web sites doesn’t looks so good! But for an single window works great! For Excell sheets is like having infinite cells, for trading and analyzing charts is great. I also use it for graphic design and video editing and it helps to have a bigger screen for the time line and the work space on illustrator also is bigger and easier to accommodate everything.

Great product but no power output

It does the basics and has all the basics you need to work from home. I don’t like controlling the buttons from under the screen. I don’t like the fact It doesn’t work well with my surface pro from work. I can’t use the wide screen on the surface pro. The speakers are good but not like the MacBook M1. My MacBook works great in wide screen and it was easy to step up. I had to get a docking station because the monitor had no power output to charge my MacBook. It will charge my iPhone. I have connect external adaports. I wish this came with more ports and a power output but I guess we get what we pay for. The size fits perfectly on my Micke desk from IKEA in my closet at home.

    Amazing product!

I purchased this monitor for my home office. It was super quick to install and connect it to my laptop. I primarily work on several excel spreadsheets at the same time and it works very well when I toggle between spreadsheets as it gives a lot more of real estate. The monitor screen gives super clear view and it doesn’t get my eyes tired after staring at the monitor for hours! I know LG is well known for high quality and sleek design and this monitor is one of my many LG products. I highly recommend this monitor!

    Buyers Remorse Screen is about 11 1/2 x 26 1/2.

I got buyers remorse the moment I walked into Costco. A much bigger screen for the same price. The height is about 11 1/2 and it is about 26 1/2 long. I was looking for in the description and did not find it, when it actually arrived I was disappointed, but more so when I walked into Costco and saw a 32 monitor for the same price. It is good for doing work, but it could have been better with a slight taller screen, it needs about 2 inches for my taste as I need larger text to read. For gaming there are issues, so definitely not good for gaming. It has a built in speaker, for business purposes it is adequate no issue, for gaming it is too weak, for music it is okay if you don’t like it to be blasting. So overall it is okay for work, you can put two or three apps at the same time, for other purposes it is mediocre.

For those looking for a little more screenspace at their desk or work area, this monitor is a great addition. It is slim and wide allowing for the use of multiple tabs open side by side without the need for a multi monitor setup! It is a cheaper priced monitor so keep in mind the light panel isnt best in class but for the price the colors and viewing angles are very nice!

    Great buy!

This is a REALLY nice monitor!!! Love the Ultra widescreen display. Very thin edges makes for great option when combining multiple screens. Great quality monitor – very thin and lightweight. Good video quality for the price. It’s not 4K, but it is inexpensive so that’s a good tradeoff. It comes with 1 type-C, 1 HDMI, and 1 DP, in port. It’s very aesthetically pleasing with an aluminum grey stand and a white back panel. Well worth the price. Great Buy. I’m thinking about buying it twice for a multi-screen setup.

Simply awesome still after many years!!

I am very happy with the LG Ultrawide 29-Inch FHD 1080p. It has a stunning IPS display, which makes everything look vibrant and crisp. The monitor is easy to set up and has built-in speakers with MaxxAudio, which sound great for movies and games. The monitor also supports FreeSync, which eliminates screen tearing and stuttering. The ultra wide aspect ratio is perfect for multitasking, as I can have multiple windows open at the same time without losing any detail. The monitor also has a sleek design and a white color that matches my desk. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a high-quality, affordable and versatile ultra wide monitor.

This screen is perfect for working from home. It’s size basically makes it so I have 3 screens with my laptop. My main complaint is that it will randomly glitch in the weirdest ways. The most recent was a big blank strip in the middle of the screen and the sides of the display were backwards? It’s always fixed by disconnecting abs reconnecting, but it’s still weird.

This is a great quality monitor that allows me to easily split the screen. I don’t miss having 2 monitors at all. I love this monitor!

This 1080p UltraWide has outstanding picture quality and color reproduction. HDR10 really makes a difference for me with this monitor too. Many games just pop with HDR on and graphic setting tuned to tastes. This monitor sits at the ideal price point of getting the best you can get at 1080p minus the ultra high refresh rate of dedicated gaming monitors. The only problem is now that I have gone ultra wide my next monitor purchase (hopefully well into the future) will have to be a 1440 or 4k at Ultra wide . Yup hopefully this will be years away when/if they come down to a reasonable price. The extra screen real estate of Ultra Wide made a lot of difference for me in my 3D productivity applications. It was a bit scary how quickly I became used to this wider form factor after so many years of using 1080p standard format monitors.Games are so much more enveloping for me with the wide screen as they now almost fill my entire field of view. As a real world diver playing Subnautica on this monitor I sometimes felt myself breathing through my mouth expecting to feel the bubble rising. The experience was that immersive! What amazed me was how many older games support this resolution! I have to thank a YouTube reviewer who pointed this out as it was a big worry for me. Fallout 4 gave me a bit of an issue as it wouldn’t even play in 1080p…saying my video card a 40 series wasn’t supported. This may have been a video card related issue more than a monitor/resolution issue but I didn’t feel like switching monitors to test on my standard 1080p. However a quick check in the NVidia control panel showed a problem with the game and a fix button and once I clicked it I was back in Fallout at full wide screen glory. Interestingly there was no driver update or any change to any settings that I hadn’t tried manually since I fought with the manual setting for an hour or so trying to get it to work before I thought to look at the NVidia control panel. There must have been some esoteric setting I missed somewhere. The pixel pitch on this monitor is almost the same as a sub 27 Inch 1080p monitor. This means you loose NOTHING for the added screen real estate. You can go right up to the monitor at a usable distance and you will not notice pixelation etc. Freesynch works on the Displayport cable which is what I am using to connect to the monitor.A fine note to graphic connoisseurs such as myself. I don’t necessarily want to play a game at 100+ fps. I want to play a game that looks the best it cam look at 60fps, ideally with the same 0.1% and 1% lows and I am fine with that. This monitor can refresh at 100Hz so “true” 100fps gaming with the right system is easy as pie. However graphic quality is always my first choice when purchasing a monitor. This monitor doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Older game titles (1080p max titles usually) tended to use scaling tricks to upscale 1080p to 1080p wide…those extra ~ 600 x 1080 pixels is small as image scaling goes and not noticeable from a standard 1080p image. There is no distortion if the game support the wide screen format. HOWEVER if you are playing a game that uses higher resolution textures (newer games) the game engine sometimes down samples 1440p or even 4k textures to use that extra real estate and the effects are immediately noticeable as a much more pleasing experience! A prime example is Subnautica in my configuration. The graphics hijinx described above is tied to graphic settings used by the developers during game development, optimizations they have implemented, hardware capabilities, driver capabilities and the engine used so don’t expect the bonus graphic bump in all games. However when it does occur I am grateful for it. If you have ever uniformally scaled down an image in a graphics program and appreciated the enhanced detail and quality you will better understand the bonus graphic boost that is possible with these monitors. As a developer myself I am anxious to experiment with this feature on my own titles and see if I can replicate these effects in a game/simulation setting. A final note, you will need a tiny bit more horsepower to push those extra pixels rather than standard 1080p. The difference is probably around 5%. With modern hardware and optimizations this difference will probably be lost in the noise.

    REALLY great for accounting

I bought this monitor to work from home and i can hold an entire excel spreadsheet on one side and an entire web browser or quickbooks or whatever on the other. It is great to only use one monitor without the seam in the middle and to be able to use my laptop which I connect it to as a second screen as needed which I never do. Some problems I have seen are that 1 out of 100 times the screen may get glitchy lines through it so I adjust the hdmi cable and restart what I can. I think the stock hdmi cable might be the problem but I have been using it now for a year plus and it does the job. I use this exact screen when I work at my office too and for some reason I never have to adjust the screen settings at work but at home I sometimes have to readjust my screen to the “extend screens” setting. When I first got the screens I was worried because the resolution was trash but once you set it correctly to “extend” then it looks perfect. The only other thing I can think of is adjusting my laptop settings to play sound out of the monitor which is great because the monitor has better speakers than my monitor.

Lots of screen for a low price

My office is running 3 HP 24” monitors and I was looking for a budget-friendly ultrawide to set on top. This worked perfectly mounted on an arm behind the desk. Really impressed with the colors, it was easy to tone match with my 3 HP IPS monitors. I love the way excel spreadsheets look on it. Also works well running 2 full screen applications on it, but it’s not quite wide enough for 3 in my opinion. Overall very happy with the purchase. I do play games on this set up occasionally (hints the racing wheel) and i tested some on this ultrawide and it was an enjoyable experience. But with the low refresh rate I wouldnt recommend it to any competitive gamer. I think the perfect buyer for this monitor is the workstation progressional looking for a cheap way to get ultrawide real estate. It can also be a good option for the budget gamer who wants that ultrawide experience and is not pushing a lot of fps.

    Muy bueno peeero…

El monitor es excelente por su precio pero a las horas de usarlo de daño un pixel, se ve un punto blanco al lado izquierdo y aveces es molesto cuando se ve algo oscuro porque se ve el punto planco

It is a challenge to get one of these to work with the correct resolution.

I bought one of these 29″ LG MONITORS for a windows 10 LG GRAM laptop in 2020, but back then i could not get my other LG GRAM 11 machine to work with the LG 29″ Monitor, and sure enough it happened again this go around in Nov 2023. No matter how much my friend and i tried, the resolution choices would not match properly.. So i pulled out my old widows 7 and it worked. So Not ideal using my retired 7 but these wide screens make computing so much nicer holding two full windows at once. So to be clear, I have 2 LG grams, one a 10 the other 11 and both are 2560 x 1600 WFHD native resolution. These LG MONITORS (2020 & 2023) are both WFHD 1080p with a 21:9 aspect. See how this goes, trying to get the resolutions to NOT STRETCH the content on the windows is the problem. The laptops have many choices on their resolution choices in “pulldowns menus” but the windows 11 will not work…the 11 evidently is somehow different.

Great! Perfect add on for a laptop.

Good:- Maximum real estate for productivity on a desk. Easy to snap 2-3 windows to see at once.- Great color, brightness, contrast.- Speakers! Pretty good ones too.- Picture in picture mode. Adds a spot to put a music player or chat over your workspace.- Dual Control functions as a virtual KVM switch.- Easy setup, sturdy stand. Sleek and modern looking.- Good connectivity w/ 2 HDMI, 1 Display, 1 Mic/Phones out.- Nice 3 trim bezels on three sides.- Plays well with a laptop dock.- Able to be vesa mounted.- Options Menus are easy to access and navigate.Bad:- Stand only has tilt. No height or rotate.- No built-in cable management.- Headphone jack is on back, kind of hard to access.- Decent specs for casual gaming. Serious gamers might not be impressed.- Doesn’t have the PBP (Picture by Picture) mode for splitting the screen between two computers.- I can’t figure out how to get Night Light (blue light reduction) to work on this as a 2nd monitor.Summary: Don’t judge the monitor by my crappy phone photos. They don’t come close to doing this justice. This is a great monitor.I’ve only had this monitor for a day but so far I’m in love with it. I was torn between a couple of 24″ or 27″ and this was the perfect solution. The color / brightness / saturation is all great, overkill in some ways. I had to tone the brightness and saturation down a bit to be able to comfortably view windows with a bright background. The FPS color profile setting works best for me. Viewing angles are terrific. The SPEAKERS!! It’s been ages since I’ve had a monitor with built in speakers and although these aren’t top of the line three-way they are stereo and quite loud and clear. It won’t replace your home stereo with a subwoofer but these are more than good enough quality for casual listening and I consider myself picky in regards to sound quality. It’s just so nice not to have to putz with speaker cables, bluetooth connections, yadda yadda. Just turn it on and it works. They are down-firing so if you wanted to get nerdy and put a deflector underneath them you’d get a cleaner, more direct sound. I don’t think I’ll bother. They’re easily 3x better than my laptop speakers. For office – fantastic! So much real estate you can multitask with ease. Keep email, spreadsheets, Spotify, Slack, Zoom, whatever up and running at the same time so you don’t have to keep minimizing and missing things. Easily break the screen up into 3-4 parts. Plays nice with my laptop dock. Picture in Picture mode is a game changer, adds even more ways to split up the real estate. The Dual Control function is pretty amazing too. I have my main PC as a laptop, second PC as a Mac and I can easily use Dual Control and switch between them, same keyboard, same mouse. All I have to do is change the input to HDMI 2 and hit CTRL, Rt Arrow to use the mouse and keyboard on the Mac. Can even copy files up to 2gb from PC to Mac without messing with shares or network permissions. Too Easy. For gaming – eh you’ll get what you pay for with this one. It’s an IPS panel so great color but not the fastest response times and it only goes up to 75mhz so won’t win any refresh races. It would be fun for casual gaming. Beware that some games won’t operate full screen widescreen and you may get black bars on the sides. For those that do widescreen though – fun!For photo editing – this is a dream. It’s high enough res to see plenty of detail and you get tons of real estate for menus, toolbars, etc. Color reproduction is fantastic. Super easy to see side-by-sides for color matching. No messing around trying to get two monitors calibrated to look the same. It is only an 8bit display so not super-duper pro quality but definitely 16 million colors will be enough for most uses.So far the good heavily outweigh the bad – the bad are not really bad just meh. If you’re looking for a way to maximize your screen real estate and don’t want to break the bank this is a great option.

    Nice monitor

I bought this monitor to use for work, and I am very happy with it. I wish it were curved, but I could not find a brand quality curved monitor at this size. The picture quality is amazing, with vivid colors and sharp details. The screen size is perfect for multitasking, as I can have multiple windows open at the same time. The USB Type-C port is very convenient, as I can connect my laptop and charge it with one cable, but it does not come with the monitor, so I had to buy it separately. The monitor also has a sleek design and a sturdy stand.

26″ does not have access to Readers Mode

I bought this monitor for the extra width and I am pleased with the size. It is simple, not too heavy and what I was looking for. I was pretty disappointed to find that I cannot use the Reader’s Mode on this size. It is listed under the settings but greyed out so you cannot select it. I was looking forward to the blue light reduction as I do spend a lot of time on my computer so I deducted a star for that. This also does not have speakers. I think the comments that says it does bought a larger version. My computer lets me choose the monitor for audio options but no sound comes out. I have external speakers I was already using with my last monitor so thats not a deal breaker for me. It is very bright! I had to turn the brightness down as it hurt my eyes. Overall not too shabby for the price.

    Wonderful Monitor

I am a graduate student searching for a monitor that allows multiple windows for viewing, especially when writing research papers. It provided enough viewing material to keep open research studies and a writing application for tandem tasks. The monitor was also easy to set up and had well-padded packaging. The video quality is as expected and not the best quality. Regardless, that was not the purpose of purchasing the monitor. Great monitor otherwise.

Good monitor for the new Mac Mini M1

I bought this monitor to use with my new Mac Mini M1. I had no problem at all pairing it. Literally just connected it to the Mac Mini, turned it on, and it worked.I use outside speakers (connected to the Mac Mini) instead of the speakers on the monitor. From what I can tell, the monitor’s speakers seem functional, but nothing special. I can’t figure out how to raise or lower the volume on the monitor. So, I just ignore the monitor’s speakers and use my own.I use this for work. I can’t really comment on how it holds up as a gaming monitor. For my purposes, the overall picture quality is fine. Videos look fine on it. It has plenty of room to have multiple applications open at the same time. However, if you’re a Mac laptop user who’s used to the retina display quality on your MacBook, you’ll notice that the text on this monitor isn’t quite as crisp and clear as what you’re used to with a Mac’s retina display. But it’s not enough to be a deal breaker. If anything, this monitor is a good placeholder while you save up to buy a fancier monitor. If I have any criticism it’s that I don’t know if this monitor has any controls to change the brightness, etc. or how to use those controls if they do exist. I turned it on. It worked. That’s about all I know. The monitor came with a DVD of the owner’s manual (not very helpful because who still has a DVD drive in this day and age?). Other than a small booklet showing you how to assemble the monitor’s base and connect the monitor to a computer or AV system, there wasn’t any other instructions on how to use the monitor’s controls (if they do exist) or change the settings. I have no idea how to use any of the features like splitting the screen etc. that are mentioned in the sales pitch above.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s a great big sturdy monitor with lots of visual landscape for a very cheap price. It’s a great deal!

    It does the job

I got this one to be used a a working monitor. No deep gaming or at least no heavy usage at all. Casual gaming from time to time (once every 1-2 months or so)While it shows vivid colours I am comparing this screen with a similar lg one (29 wide-screen previous brother) and I feel that the previous gen has better colours than this one.I was thinking to get another one, but after this Color comparing side by side, I prefer to go the previous one.Windows HDR option give me funny antialias fonts, so no HDR for me.Is a great screen and it may be me and my Color appreciation what made me move to another model. For you it may end up just been perfect. Also the price range is perfect for this size and remote work dual screen layout.

Perfect size for home office multitasking

The 21:9 1080p resolution is the perfect size for my use case, which is a home office setup. Also, the Maxx Audio speakers are great! Would recommend. I do wish the stand was height-adjustable. I ended up using a single monitor VESA stand for this monitor instead of the included one.

great monitor for schoolwork and casual gaming

I bought this monitor after trying it out on my brothers gaming PC, and while I can’t tell you whether it would be good or bad for gaming, I can say it’s awesome for doing multitasking— specifically for college. I hook this monitor up to my MacBook with a usb-c to hdmi adapter that also has an extra power slot on it too.It works very well for having multiple documents up for writing papers, discussion boards, notes, zoom, etc. I honestly have a hard time using my laptop for schoolwork without it now, as it’s just very difficult to navigate without the added space the monitor gives me.There’s a review saying the monitor sits at a terrible downward angle, this person probably doesn’t understand that the screen can be tilted. When it first comes out of the box, it is packaged and automatically at a very sharp downward angle fresh out of the box. Do not panic, just tilt the screen upwards as it is meant to be adjustable.Due to the nature of widescreens, any video platform will not fill the screen up. This monitor is meant to be used as a dual monitor, it’s not made for theatrics. Many games I play do fill out the screen and give you that extra viewing angle (like stardew valley or minecraft,) and it looks extremely clean and amazing. Also just to note, I haven’t really bothered finding the driver that helps resize windows automatically. With a MacBook, you have to manually resize every window and you can’t clip the window to the size and have it automatically resize like a windows user can. I believe there is a free driver on the LG website, it just doesn’t bug me enough to find it.This also means my Macbook has to be placed to the left of the monitor in order for me to use the MacBook screen as a “second monitor.” If it is not placed to the left, I still have to drag and windows from my MacBook as if the laptop was on my left side. Just a note to keep in mind.
