    Very happy with this TV

First off, this TV looks and sounds amazing. I bought the 43″ and it is perfect. The sound quality is amazing and the picture is crisp. Obviously a sound bar would enhance the audio, but it works very well without it.I’ll add that I looked up a lot of reviews before purchasing this. Television reviews are wild and people are very nit picky. One thing I read that since this was an IPS panel, it’d look bad or be glaring. I currently have Christmas lights around the ceiling of my room and I can see them on the tv, but it’s not going to ruin your viewing experience unless your watching a very dark movie. There is very little/almost no backlight bleeding as well. The only thing I disliked is installing the legs. But that was my own fault because I was using a screw driver that was ever so slightly too small which made trying to screw the legs in difficult. Other than that this is an amazing TV and I full recommend this to anyone looking for a new television.

    Worst Interface Imaginable

Our last 55″ TV was an LG smart TV and was so easy to use. After 15 years it had to be replaced, so we thought we’d go with another lg. This unit had very good reviews and was the size we needed. It was very easy to set up and has a good picture, but that’s that’s where the pros end. As I had read, the magic wand rollerball is overly sensitive at times, them doesn’t work at all. The interface is mind numbingly chaotic. The onscreen menus go on forever and there seems to be no easy way to maneuver through the options. LG also seems to have over 900 “LG stations”, but they’re all useless. Sorting through all the options takes forever, to the point that we’re so frustrated we just give up. The basic picture technology is comparable to any other brand, but its the quality of the interface that makes this unit such poor choice.

    Enjoying my TVs

I gave 4 stars because of some issues I had with other items apart of my order that I didn’t receive. My TV it’s great. I enjoy the color and visual accuracy of the picture. I believe I made a great choice with purchasing TVs full Amazon!

    Smart TV

This is a smart TV, maybe too smart for me. Wife now thinks she would have been better off with her dumb TV and a firestick or similar. TV starts with its interface, rather than the last place you left it (directtv). BD/DVD player connected easily enough, and it recognized it, but that did not stop it from displaying a banner ever 3 seconds trying to get me to synch it to the BD player – no instructions for that, so the BD player is now unplugged – will have to figure that out. Software interface is not easy/intuitive to maneuver.

    Great picture/terrible sound

I don’t know why there’s not more reviews about the sound quality on this tv. It’s sounds like everyone is speaking into a tin can. There are several sound modes but none get rid of the tinny sound. But the picture quality is great. Very clear and vivid. They also should provide a way to disable the annoying curser.

    Don’t Waste Your Money

This TV was provided under an extended warranty to replace a competitor’s failed product (which was originally purchased from a non-Amazon source. The picture quality is not even close to the set this replaces. The sound is terrible in comparison (very “tinny”), and the user interface on this LG unit is a joke. I had to dig 3 or 4 layers in to have the TV turn on without the annoying generic menu screen. To finish off the transaction, the extended warranty company provided this 60hz unit to replace a 120hz unit, a fact I did not discover until I had it mounted on the wall and was trying to figure out why my picture looked like I was viewing it through a sheet of plastic. Highly recommend you look to a different manufacturer for a TV of this size.

    Solid TV for the price

As a previous geek squad home theatre installer. I was familiar with what i’d be getting buying this. Everyone either loves or hates the LG remote. I personally love it and the out of the box experience you get with LG tv’s. LG’s home menu isn’t the most user friendly but it’s easily usable and isn’t clunky. Things seem to load just fine and have had no issues with it. If you aren’t a fan of the remote or the home menu, which most people aren’t. I would highly suggest going with a similar samsung/sony tv.Overall, i’d give the tv an 8 out of 10. Picture quality is great and have had no complaints watching older movies, and content that is upscale to 4k. Obviously an OLED will have better image quality but for this price point i think it’s an amazing purchase.I can’t speak to much on the sound as i’m using this TV with a Sonos surround audio setup. That works great and no issues there.

    Terrible interface

The most worthless and complicated interface and remote control of any TV I ever owned! Bought this TV because my 75” Samsung completely died 3 years after buying it and Samsung accepted no responsibility for the failure (and offered no consideration)! Vowing to never buy another Samsung, I bought this LG. Huge mistake! Thinking of tossing it into the street and stop watching TV altogether! It’s that bad!

    Buyer beware!

TV stopped working 30 days after purchase date. LG electronics gave me excuses about not being able to find a repair man in my area. 3 weeks later after talking to multiple customer service reps with very thick accents, said someone from their corporate office would contact me with in 72hrs for a refund. They never contacted me. Called Amazon customer service for help. They told me to package the tv and Amazon paid for shipping via UPS to one of their facilities and issued me a refund minus a restocking fee.

Great picture quality for the money, but clunky interface mars the experience

We have had a number of LG TVs over the years and generally think of their OLED TVs as the gold standard. However, we didn’t want to spend that kind of money this time, and had more of a gaming need so we went with your standard LED (or QNED, in this particular TV’s parlance).Overall, the most important feature of the TV — picture quality — is very good. There are nicely wide viewing angles for an LED without color distortion. HDR images look good when playing on a PS5, so that’s really nice. There is a small bit of motion blur with sports and games, but that seems hard to avoid ever since the death of plasma. Speaking of which, gaming on this TV is a good experience in general: that you get low lag/quick response time to maximize your gaming competitiveness. So overall, for a ~$600 50″ TV, you get a good picture experience — and fortunately everything else is secondary. It’s those secondary aspects that are a bit more disappointing. First of all, the interface is really cluttered and annoyingly the home screen has a lot of ads. That just sours the experience when you feel like you are paying good money for a content consumption device like a TV and cannot get an uncluttered experience.Furthermore, navigating with the remote is kind of annoying. The scroll wheel itself is the select buttons, which is less easy to use than a real select button. So there are a lot of times you are using the mouse-like aspects of the remote, when all you want to do is click select. That’s been an LG annoyance with our OLEDs too.The other annoyance was the apparent lack of some key apps — such as Fox Sports — so you should double check what’s available and how that matches up with your viewing needs. You can always get a streaming box, but we were hoping to avoid that this time. Maybe this will change over time.So overall, the PQ is great and satisfying for the price. But this TV loses a star due to poor interface / OS issues.

As a TV it’s great, but a weird remote and smart functions that wouldn’t work

If you’re just looking for a TV, this one is great. The picture is nice, however the remote is a little funky and the smart tv portion has some show stopping bugs so you can’t do a whole lot with it.The good -• The picture is amazing, 4k the colors really pop and the view is nice and crisp.• It also supports HDR and looks really good with HDR content.• The built in speakers are pretty good for what they are.• There is a nice array of HDMI inputs and it even includes a digital audio output if you’re hooking up a stereo receiver.• Once you get the tv on your wifi it shows up and you can cast to it and that part all works great. The bad –• The remote is pretty bad. It has this mouse functionality that seemed really cool at first, but it tries to mouse when you just want to use the direction button, and it gets in the way and makes things more confusing and difficult than needed.• There’s an option to setup the TV with an app, and we tried from two different android phones with no luck. It would start the process then you would get an error in the app, the tv would get stuck and you would have to start over.• The built in smart tv functions looked promising, but they don’t work. As soon as you go to install an app it wants you to sign in, which is fine, I had created a login with the phone app. But when you go to sign in you get an error that says it cannot tell what country you are in and you can’t get any farther.• Just wanted to say that on the setup and smart tv issues, I even went as far as checking for updates, finding one, installing it, and trying again with all the same results.

Great Picture Not So Great Interface

This is a review of LG QNED75 Series 50-Inch Class QNED Mini-LED Smart TV 50QNED75URA, 2023.Out the gate, I will have to say I am an LG snob. I love almost all of their products. I just find the quality across their TVs and appliances stellar. I’ll start with what I don’t care for with this product, then go into the good stuff.I am not thrilled with the interface. It has huge ads and a really busy-looking screen. I’ve used Roku and Firestick before and do not remember such huge ads on their platforms. It really is a turnoff.Next, what’s up with that remote? It’s another feature that seems to be unnecessarily busy. Instead of arrow keys, it has a roller ball. It’s rather clunky to use. Maybe over time I will get used to it, if I don’t I may need to get a universal remote.Since I am not a gamer, I can’t speak to this TV from that perspective. Occasionally we may cast Meta Quest to see gameplay, but not often. Mostly I will just watch TV and for that purpose, this is a fine TV.The picture is clear, crisp, and vibrant. The way my living room is set up, you can see the TV from just about every angle. I do have a sound bar that I will eventually set up, but the sound coming from the TV is not bad at all which is why I haven’t set up the sound bar yet.Overall, this TV keeps me in the LG snob range. My biggest gripe is the crowded interface with gigantic ads more so than the funky remote. That is why I’ve removed one star from my review.

    Does not have HDMI 2.1

I bought this television because it advertised 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. I wanted that for my 2 game consoles. When I got the TV I found out the expensive way that it most definitely DOES NOT have HDMI 2.1 Its a good TV besides that fact, just don’t purchase it if you were wanting a TV with the 2 1 ports.

Lasted 2 whole years. That’s $190 per year.

Great at first, although the internet was glitchy. Then one day, in the middle of a streaming show, it just quit and refused to connect to the internet. No help at all from LG, who suggested power-cycling my router despite literally every other smart device in my house being connected just fine. I tried power-cycling the TV off and back on, and also re-connecting it to the internet – it then just refused to connect to the internet.I can’t recommend this pee oh ess TV.

Easiest TV to set up, very clear picture

This is an amazing TV for this price. First off, it was the easiest TV EVER to set up. Seriously, talk about plug-and-play. You just plug in the power and boom, you have a smart TV. Sign in to any streaming channels you have and you’re set. LG has their own smart TV software but it’s very easy to figure out. It would be nice if they would get rid of the ads, but sometimes you just have to deal with that. Better than having to buy a separate smart TV player. The remote is a bit odd with the weird scroll button in the middle. I prefer the arrow keys but I’m getting used to this. It does have several buttons to take you right to the most popular streaming channels, but that’s subjective as we aren’t into Disney and I think Sling is an odd one to choose. I’d add in Max before that. It’s a bit different to use than other remotes because you have to point it to the screen and there’s a small laser light that works as a cursor when you are selecting something on the screen. This should be fun if I set this up to play streaming games. The volume and everything else work great so you just have the one remote. Still trying to figure out all the buttons but it was easy to use the basic functions right away.As far as apps go, they had all the ones we subscribe to. I’m sure there are some missing but I haven’t found any yet that I want that aren’t here. The picture is the next great thing. At this price, it’s really quite good. It’s very clear and I didn’t have to make any adjustments for it to just look good right out of the box. And just super sharp. Almost too realistic at times, but I grew up with movies being a bit softened so the sharpness of new TVs still gets to me. I haven’t noticed any blurring on things like action movies, but I don’t tend to notice that. The colors seem good and I’ll eventually play with the settings to see how to adjust it. But the colors are vivid without being blown out. And I haven’t noticed any edge distortion so it’s really nice to watch.Overall, I’m very happy with this TV. Mostly for the ease of set up. The remote takes getting used to but that’s not a big deal. We could always buy a different one that has all the main functions we need. So, for this price, I definitely approve. And I’ve had good luck with LG TVs lasting a long time so we plan on keeping this as our main TV for many years.

    Great Starter LG TV

I purchased this TV to replace the one in my bedroom that died, which was a Samsung. I’ve been team Samsung for years, but my brother convinced me to get an LG and I’m very pleased with this purchase. I was able to adjust the picture exactly as I wanted it, and the blacks are really black (this can be adjusted if it’s too dark or too light). The remote takes some getting used to, but it’s not bad. The sound from the speakers is also pretty decent, but I do use a sound bar. If you are looking for a good LG TV on a budget, I would definitely recommend buying this one.

    An excellent tv

So, when connecting an Xbox and setting it to 1080p you can get 120fps. The game mode on the TV also saw it as 120 fps, now that surprised me since this TV is only supposed to do 60hz maximum. I was pretty happy, but sadly anything else is stuck to 60hz. I use it mainly for Xbox and PC with colors and clarity being top notch. It’s bright, vibrant, speakers are ehh. Control is nice I haven’t accidentally pressed anything on it so far. I have no complaints it is an excellent tv.

Great picture, clunky remote, and cluttered interface

The media could not be loaded.

Overall, if you are someone who likes to edit lots of the system settings and prefer image quality over simplification, this would be a good upper middle tier TV for you. However, I prefer convenience.Unboxing:-This was easy to take out of the box with just 1 person.-The legs attached easily, and I appreciated the cable organizer that comes with it to add on the back.Setup:-Overall the setup of the TV was straightforward and you can easily follow the on-screen prompts. It started with a voice prompt setup that you can turn off, which spoke incredibly fast but it was intended for visually impaired individuals, which you can turn off.-It’s easy to sign in to apps using either the tv, your phone, or a laptop.-I did run into a problem during the initial bootup where I got a spinning circle of death. After waiting 25 minutes, I rebooted the TV and had to restart the setup from the beginning. Overall, including logging in all my apps, it probably took about 30 minutes.Remote:-They tried to do too much with the remote causing a lot of daily frustration.-My main concern is the “enter” or “ok” button in the middle of the arrows. It also acts as a scrolling ball, but many times when you push down for “ok” it ends up scrolling to another part of the page. It is very sensitive.-The remote has a motion control function which acts like a mouse and pointer but the arrow on the tv lingers too long after use and I find it to be distracting on the screen until it disappears by itself.-I also found the remote to be too old school with numbers for channels and buttons for almost everything you can imagine. I prefer the minimal and sleek remotes that come with many new TVs. This LG remote is about double the size and requires AA batteries instead of AAA.Homepage:-I am used to a very simplified homepage with roku where almost everything can be modified. This has all the bells and whistles, which provides plenty of options, but looks crowded and congested. Half the screen of the homepage is a giant ad for a streaming service I don’t use.Screen quality:-I had a 5 year old 55 inch TCL tv that I got for about $350. In my opinion, the picture quality of this LG TV is just slightly better. It has bright colors and people look a bit sharper in movies, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price difference from my old tv.-The screen has a standard amount of glare. I have a window on the opposite wall of the tv which reflects light in the morning. The window reflection is very visible especially when the screen is dark.Gaming:-I have a nintendo switch I use to play games. The TV immediately suggests a gaming mode for best results. It has an easy to use gaming features to adjust setting quickly specifically for gaming.

    Love It

I really love this television. It fit perfectly in my living room. The quality of the picture is beautiful. It’s shows very clear. And was also easy to set up. It does recommend mounting but also came with stands to hold up the television. Set up was very easy. It was easy to set up all the applications for the television. I really love this. The sound quality is great. Really high quality. Definitely recommend.

    Probably got a dud

I was repairing my room to replace my old plasma tv with this one. Once it got delivered I took down my old TV and set up this one with my TV mounts that fit perfectly and mounted it. When I tired to turn it on nothing happened. I figured maybe I didn’t plug in the power cable in correctly. After several attempts the TV turned on but the screen showed a bunch of lines across the entire screen before flickering in and out and then never powered on again.I tried reaching to Amazon to see if maybe I got a broken and malfunction unit but according to them because it’s a large electrical item they would need to send a technician out to verify if it can be repaired or replaced. I haven’t heard anything from them since and put up my old TV and threw this in the trash.
