WoW – read the reviews and very happy!

I read the review for this monitor and very impressed! add to me to the list of very happy customers. Gorgeous quality. Ideal for when I want to plug in my laptop and do a little work while lounging in the living room. Extremely easy to assemble. Took about 2 minutes. LOVE IT!

Annoying flickering the first minutes. Overall acceptable.

This monitor has a Chinese panel, “BOE”. That said, you can’t expect much for 200 bucks.I received mine with some backlight flickering for some minutes after turning on.Due to my location, I can’t return it.What does work is the advertised 75hz refresh rate, the 2K resolution and the HDR. I’m using the monitor with HDMI and an old Geforce GTX970.You can even run the odd game on it, although I mostly use it for office work.

    Good Value

I use two 32″ monitors with my Macbook Pro for my business. I have it dialed with a Dell monitor. It set up easily and I began using it immediately. I haven’t had the time to tweak the display settings yet.

HDR sucks on Windows 10 but this monitor has fantastic color at a great price.

I picked this up to replace an older 1080p TN monitor with something a bit larger. After doing some reading, it seems like 1440p is the best resolution for a 27″ monitor, so I went with this one. I mostly use it for gaming, so the 75hz + FreeSync was a big plus for me. Don’t believe the hype about 144Hz monitors, your mid-range GPU is never going to be able to churn out more than 75 FPS @ 1440p anyways. For starters, the monitor looks fantastic. The color reproduction is amazing, just be sure to use the “Custom” picture setting mode to remove the color temperature adjustments. Most of the preset picture modes either distort color too much or apply too much of a sharpen filter. So far I haven’t had any issues with FreeSync mode. Just be sure to update your display’s refresh rate to 75Hz in Windows 10 and enable “variable refresh rate” under the graphics settings. It looks fantastic while gaming with no signs of ghosting or input lag.Unfortunately, the monitor doesn’t play nice with Windows 10’s HDR mode. Once you enable HDR mode in Windows, you’ll lose the ability to modify the “Custom” picture mode settings, leaving all of your non-HDR applications with an ugly warm tint. You can still use the other predefined picture modes, but the lack of fine tuning will be a hindrance. After fighting with it for a few days, I decided it just wasn’t worth it and just turned HDR off because it wasn’t worth the headache and it didn’t seem to actually add much.Lastly, I can’t give this a full 5/5 rating because the monitor does have a few flaws. Firstly, the stand feels pretty flimsy. Don’t get me wrong, it holds the monitor up, but a monitor this size deserves more than pencil-thin legs. Thankfully, the VESA mount on this monitor is easy to use, so you don’t have to use the stand if you don’t want to. Secondly, the monitor’s on-screen display could use some attention. For example, most of the default shortcuts involve volume adjustments… but this monitor doesn’t have speakers. In addition to the HDR issues mentioned earlier, it seems like the monitor tracks separate settings for regular, FreeSync, and HDR modes separately. If you ever adjust your contrast/brightness, you’ll need to manually apply those changes to FreeSync and HDR modes as well. But hey, at $230 price point, I’m willing to overlook it.

A monitor so nice I bought it twice

I originally bought one to replace an old monitor I’ve had for approximately 8 years. Due to my desk, my monitor restraints were specific if I wanted to keep a dual-monitor setup while not changing where I put my speakers or anything else, and this fit that footprint I was looking for. Monitor is looking nice, easy to install, and was hassle-free. I enjoyed it so much I’ve bought a second one to replace my other monitor.

    Great quality screen

Very good quality, crisp picture, audio pass-through, comes with HDMI cable and DP cable. The reason why I took away one star is the one-button control. It works and for those who never change any settings it will be just fine. However, I bought it for its 3 inputs (2xDP, 1xHDMI) and switching between them should be easier than fiddling with the button. Takes at least 4 button presses to go through the menu and switch inputs.

Design flaw – rear mount too close to video/power connectors

This monitor is great, but they placed the video input and power connector too close to the VESA mount point. If you have an existing mounting plate bigger than 100mm square you cannot use it. I had a combo mounting plate that was 200mm square, with holes for 100×100, 100×200 etc. I can’t use it because it overlaps the inputs. I now have to buy and install a whole new wall mount with a 100×100 plate. Such a shame. What were they thinking?

27″ or 32″: can’t decide which one to get? Read on

I initially ordered a pair of 27″ version because I thought that two 32″ monitors side by side would take up too much space (and they do). But I returned the 27″ pair and replaced it with two 32″ ones. Why?A little bit a background:I sit in front of these two monitors all day long: I code (VS), I trade (webull, coinbase), and I play BF5.My experience with the 27″ version:+ DPI (sharp text and images)+ brightness (especial in HDR gaming)+ size (perfect side by side setup for my desk ~50″)+ price (best I could find at this resolution with HDR)- display area for gaming (not enough real estate for me, my previous monitor was a 43″ 4K)In the end I returned the 27″ pair because I was getting tunnel vision playing my favorite game. Yep, only fault I could find.My experience with the 32″ version:+ price (best I could find at this resolution with HDR)+ brightness (especial in HDR gaming)+ size: much better for gaming; no more tunnel vision; plus, text is much easier to read from a distance (see my final thoughts)- DPI; (Naturally) There is a very noticeable difference in the sharpness of text and images as compared to the 27″ version (same resolution & larger size=less DPI). However, now that I’ve been using them for a few days, the difference is becoming less and less noticeable.- They take up more (horizontal) space on my desktop; I had to slide my desk a few inches to make room for themFinal thoughts:I would say that what really sets the two sizes a part is the DPI. I think that for sharpness 27″ is ideal at 1440p and 32″ at 2160p (but this one will cost you $100 extra https://amzn.to/3tBzK11). However, if you sit far away from the monitor like I do (30-40″), you might have to enlarge your OS text size while using the 27″.I can’t really comment on the OEM stands monitors as I used a VESA desk mount for both setups (https://amzn.to/3vKgv7g).I hope you will find this review helpful; I am happy follow up if you have any questions.

    Great For My Needs

I only use this LG QHD 32-Inch Computer Monitor 32QN600-B for reading schematics at a solder station. I did test the 1440 p, HDR 10, and 75Hz refresh rate that work flawlessly as supported by an nVidia GTX 1660 TI graphics card. This sub $200 USD monitor replaced a three year old Dell 32″ 1440p UltraSharp that failed right after the warranty expired. Quite frankly this LG is just as visually good as the Dell, and cost less than the repair estimate to fix the Dell. Now, if it survives 3 years of occasional use, I consider myself fortunate.

    Wow not bad

Have owned two 32″ VA panels so far and both had serious issues. This being an IPS panel I figured would be much better. So far so good. It accepts a YCbCr 4:4:4 10 bit signal and displays it with no problems which is very nice. Detects properly as an HDR10 compatible display with all my stuff just as it should with no funny business. Games with good HDR implementation detect it and switch modes automatically, though some need you to manually switch it in Windows.I bought the model with the adjustable stand and it works fine for my uses. The stand isn’t super duper amazing but it’s pretty stable. The monitor is well supported and doesn’t wobble around like crazy or anything. Don’t let other reviews dissuade you from this because of the stand. It’s fine. The adjustment feels solid and works nice and holds the monitor in place. Everything is nice and tight and your tilt settings and everything will stay in place. The raw response time on the old panels was okay but the grey to grey response was very slow. So those panels had excellent color and contrast, but were a little blurry in motion. Games didn’t feel smooth and crisp, though they looked the part in still frames. Movies didn’t hold their crispness when in motion either. Even disregarding the 75Hz refresh of this monitor, the actual response of an IPS panel is much better than that of a VA. This makes it a solid gaming and movie watching monitor.75Hz is a treat as well. I have a Club3D HBR3 DisplayPort cable. The big thick one that always works no matter what. It works great with this monitor and 75Hz is detected instantly. It’s not really “high FPS gaming” but my 1070 can push my games to 75FPS no problem most of the time. Combined with the better response time this monitor is very smooth and easy to watch in motion. It has greatly enhanced both my desktop and gaming experience. Then you add Freesync in over the top. This monitor has a Freesync range of 48-75FPS. On my old monitors that range was wasted as they were really 60Hz displays. This one being 75Hz means that’s a pretty decent range, and a lot of games will stay in that range 99% of the time. Especially when almost all my older games lock vsync. I will however add that Freesync disables color control on this display in favor of some very over exposed presets. My older VA panels allowed Freesync to be enabled independently of other image controls. If you are buying this display for Freesync, that’s its one very weak area. I have elected to disable Freesync in favor of running oldschool. It’s very well behaved in regards to screen tearing and runs unlocked framerate just fine. Regular old vsync is just fine as well and 75Hz locked is as smooth as it gets. This one is a winner for me as a sometimes gaming monitor.Contrast is fine and with some fiddling I got the color and brightness pretty dialed in. Black levels aren’t amazing but are fine for the type of monitor. It calibrates fine with THX SDR display images. While there is backlight bleed it’s consistent and mostly inconsequential to the picture quality. Pixel density is about like that of a 24″ 1080p so not amazing but plenty crisp for most people. With my settings dialed in the color and brightness of this monitor are great and I get an accurate and colorful image. However, I bought this monitor over other similar ones because it supports HDR10. On that promise it does indeed deliver. It took some work but I got MadVR to recognize my HDR videos by adding “hdr=on” to the folder names. Within MadVR’s monitor-specific settings I set HDR passthrough to the display. It then switches over and shows HDR on the top right corner of the monitor when playing a video fullscreen. It works amazingly well and videos look very vivid and colorful.I saw some people saying that this monitor is kind of weak with HDR and I guess I have to agree. It doesn’t get super bright, and doesn’t show off the highlights and true super brightness of a much more expensive display. It also seems to compress some of the range. However, it still looks great, and I find to be an almost universal improvement over SDR video. It’s just above the level where black crush starts, which keeps it from being truly dire. Most of my 4K HDR video looks awesome on it(and it’s truly great with SDR content). LOTR and Star Wars at the very least look great. HDR10 doesn’t have a very good universal standard so some video content relies on the display’s brightness abilities to make the image look correct. In that regard this display will let you down. Some HDR content just isn’t bright enough on this display. It isn’t true 1000nit HDR, just 350nit with HDR10 compatibility. However, really well tuned content does look awesome on this display. Far Cry 5 has an amazingly universal HDR implementation and looks JAWDROPPING. Out of all content I’ve tried that’s the best one so far. It looks spectacular.

Comprehensive and Rewarding Experience with Some Tips for Brightness Control

The media could not be loaded.

The LG 32 inch monitor boasts not only a vast screen space but also a plethora of settings allowing for fine-tuned customization. Right out of the box, it’s evident that it’s designed to impress. But like many, I discovered that while its dazzling effects were immediate, taking the time to calibrate it further enhanced its performance. Relying on the RTINGS calibration guide, I managed to pinpoint settings that worked wonders for me – from adjusting the Black Stabilizer under Game Adjust to fine-tuning color values. But, let’s address an often-overlooked feature: screen brightness control on Windows and Mac. A revelation I recently came across was the monitor’s compatibility with programs utilizing DDC/CI, such as TwinkleTray or ClickMonitor. This discovery was monumental. If you’ve lamented about the screen brightness not syncing natively with your operating system, these programs are the answer. Not only can you manipulate brightness levels, but also adjust contrast. A significant bonus is their ability to schedule brightness changes based on the time of day, catering to those sensitive to screen brightness, like me. This feature significantly reduced my eye strain, making prolonged work or gaming sessions much more comfortable. For Linux users, especially those using Ubuntu with Intel Graphics, there might be compatibility hiccups. However, solutions do exist, even if it means a slight investment in adapters or switches to different desktop environments.Performance-wise, this monitor stands out for both productivity applications and games that aren’t too demanding on refresh rates. FPS gamers might want to look into 120Hz or 144Hz monitors for smoother experiences. Still, for most, the LG 32 inch with its 2K resolution offers impeccable clarity and detail. The inclusion of multiple ports, especially 2 HDMI and 1 Display Port, enhances its versatility, making it suitable for those with multiple devices. In conclusion, the LG 27QN600-B 32 inch monitor is a testament to LG’s commitment to delivering quality. It’s perfect for diverse uses, from remote working to gaming. But as always, the key is in the details. Delve a little deeper, try some tweaks, and you might just find this monitor surpassing your initial expectations.

Secondary monitor in a gaming setup

Like many others who are now working from home, I wanted to get away from having separate spaces for work and home computing. I wanted to easily switch between work and home using 2 32 inch monitors. I was willing to pay high end prices for one of the monitors for gaming, but the second one wasn’t as important to me. I wanted both monitors to be QHD. My home PC is a new gaming system running an RTX 3070. The work PC is a HP Elitebook laptop. For the gaming monitor I purchased the LG 32GK65B-B VA panel with 144hz and Freesync for $399.For the second monitor I purchased the LG 32QN600-B IPS panel with 75hz HDR10 and Freesync for $209 on Amazon’s Black Friday sale. Both monitors were a breeze to mount on an adjustable mount. Took less than 2 minutes each to install. With the power off, both monitors look exactly the same from the front. I can put them touching each other and you can’t tell they’re not exact the same panel. The backs of them look different but that wasn’t an issue. Both monitors set up instantly via display port on my gaming computer. It took a few moments fiddling with the menu to get Freesync rolling but the menu controls are fast and intuitive and before long the gaming monitor was at 144hz and the secondary was at 75hz.The primary VA panel 32GK65B-B struggled with my work laptop through HDMI. The screen would completely flash off every 2 seconds, even at the windows login screen. The secondary IPS panel 32QN600-B immediately functioned correctly on my work computer without any problems. After tinkering around for a few minutes I found that the gaming monitor was trying to push 75hz, and the secondary was pushing 60hz. Since I don’t need a higher refresh rate on the work computer I went into the Windows 10 display settings and locked the refresh rate to 60 and that solved the problem instantly.I flipped back and forth between displays a few times and was pleased that all the settings and window locations stayed the same without any issues. With initial setup complete I started actually using the computers and everything seemed great, but before too long I noticed that the gaming monitor didn’t look as nice as the cheaper monitor. I eventually realized that I was sitting too close. The cheaper IPS panel has a pretty excellent viewing angle so 2.5 feet from the monitor looked fine. The more expensive VA panel lost a lot of color around the edges if I was too close to it. After some testing, basically the VA monitor looks terrible compared to the IPS if you’re too close to it. As long as you’re about 3.5 feet away or more they look the same. After moving them back a bit I realized that I had no reason to sit that close to begin with since they’re gigantic. In summary, both monitors look and work great. The quality of the cheap IPS panel is pretty impressive. If you don’t care about refresh rate above 75hz you’d be extremely pleased with a pair of those, otherwise if you want the 144hz refresh than the VA panel is a competitive price and functions very well. If you’d be watching it from an angle for some reason, or having others crowd around you, you probably want to find something with a better viewing angle, but I think most gamers tend to sit in front of their monitor. I’m not sure if I’ll ever notice the lack of HDR on the gaming monitor, but so far games look fantastic without it.I’ll update this in a few months but for now I’m giving both 5 stars.

Great value, great picture, good-performance, clumsy controls.

Really nice monitor overall. Has a really sharp and bright picture with a fast response for games. I use two of them for my work computer running them at 2K mode for spreadsheets and other work functions and they are really great for that use. For gaming they are bright, have a fast-refresh rate and nice color depth. LG knows how to make a nice screen that’s for sure. They were in my opinion high-value for the price and worth it. They have two HDMI and one Display Port input, and are easy to assemble. I did not get the base tilt option – for me I did not need to pay the extra money for that bit. The criticism I have would be with the “joystick” type control for settings adjustment – it’s clumsy and takes some getting used to. I have all three inputs in-use with different PC’s and each one has different needs for their optimal picture – it would be great if these monitors had a remote as reaching for the joystick to change the input or make an adjustment is a chore. Aside from that though these are really nice displays and I am happy with them!

Excellent quality at a low price

I was very pleasantly surprised by the high image quality. I do a lot of Photoshop work, and this has been plenty good enough for even delicate image optimization. The non-reflective matte screen is an added blessing, since my office has windows nearby.I can’t say anything bad about this, other than the fact that it lacks a camera and microphone for videoconferencing. (It claims to have speakers, but with my setup–M1 MacBook Pro connected via DisplayPort cable–I get no sound out of it.) But I have other ways of dealing with audio.

Great 2K Monitors. LG never disappoints.

The 32 inch monitors are great for remote working, gaming, and personal use. Plenty of screen space and plenty of settings to customize the display. I like the fact that it has 3 inputs – 2 HDMI and 1 Display Port. I have multiple PCs connected so I am able to switch between inputs easily. I like the stand as well as it is slick looking and easy to place the monitor on it without any tools. I think 2K is more than sufficient for 32 inch monitors. I think 4K would have been overkill. The displays are vibrant and sharp and it’s easy to read text. Overall, really satisfied with the 2 monitors.

Great displays for an amazing price, with a couple of “nice-to-know” notes

I bought three of these. I use one for regular computer use and use all three together when running stock trading charts. The displays look great and work really well independently as well as together, mostly because of the “borderless” frames. I’m so happy with them. The 2560×1440 size is basically a 2K monitor which is, unfortunately, becoming harder to find.I loved the 2K resolution on my old Apple Thunderbolt monitors and I wanted to replicate them, but 4K seemed to be the thing at the time. However, when I tried a 4K monitor, I found that it caused more eye strain so 2K ended up being the sweet spot for me.I’m very happy with the deep blacks, great resolution and good light control.I do a lot of design work on a Mac, but would be happy to use these monitors for that as well if I did not need a PC for charts. The price of these is actually pretty amazing as well.A couple of things to know:– these use either HDMI (2x) or DP-IN cables, so make sure you have inputs for those types in your computer.– the stands are not all the same height, so if you are using several monitors, they may not line up. It’s close, but I personally would like it better if they were the same height since I extend my screen to span all three monitors as a virtual single screen.– obviously make sure your graphics cards can handle 2K, especially if using multiple monitors.I’m very happy with these monitors. They were recommended by a friend who uses them for the same reason and he steered me well!

Take the time to calibrate it, or try my settings

After struggling a bit to get this monitor under control, I’ve settled on a good calibrating with the help of the RTINGS monitor calibration guide. Like many displays, out of the box this is built to dazzle, but it it’s also going to be fatiguing to stare into for hours and isn’t accurate to what you should be seeing.Admittedly I am not familiar with HDR, but calibrating this thing with HDR enabled was not worth it for me at the moment. If you consume a lot of HDR content then most of this post isn’t for you. I played around with it a bit and went “Wow that’s cool” and then threw it away.If you are banging your head trying to calibrate this, I found that the most neutral setting for Black Stabilizer under Game Adjust should actually be 50. I had set this to 0 thinking it was the ‘disabled’ option, but I could not get remotely functional calibration bars for the longest time until I thought to check if the middle value was actually the neutral one. I don’t know how much each individual monitor can vary from another, even if they are the same model, but here are my settings which might get you started:Monitor settings (Picture menu in the OSD):Picture Mode: CustomPicture Adjust: Brightness (90), Contrast (50), Sharpness (40), Super Resolution (Off), Black Level (Low), DFC (Off)Game Adjust: Black Stabilizer (50)Color Adjust: Gamma (Mode 1), Color Temp (Manual, 0)Windows 11 System > Display settingsUse HDR: OffnVidia Control Panel settings (Change resolution menu)Use NVIDIA color settings (checked)32 bit, 8bpc, RGB, Full dynamic rangenVidia Control Panel settings (Adjust desktop color settings menu):Color channel: AllBrightness: 65%Contrast: 20%Gamma: 1.00Digital vibrance: 50%Hue: 0 degrees,Content reported: DesktopThese values work for me, YMMV. Now that I have tamed it, it’s wonderful for productivity apps and games that don’t need high refresh rates like FFXIV. You’ll have tons of room for your HUD elements and the same pixel density as a 24 inch 1080p monitor. If you play FPS or other high motion games do yourself a favor and get a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor; these aren’t gimmicks and you’ll never look back, but don’t waste money on 200Hz+ because that’s getting into gimmick territory.

    Perfect for my needs.

Monitor is connected to a MacBook Pro via a usb c/HDMI dongle. I use is to edit photos with Lightroom classic. The resolution at 2k is the sweet spot for image size vs resolution. 27” screen is the sweet spot for size and ppi. Color it’s great with some tweaks with a “spider”. No dead pixels. Easy to set up.

Everything else works perfectly except VRR on Xbox Series X at 1440p; 1080p is needed to use VRR

While this looks GREAT and works almost perfectly, there’s one very huge issue. That is: I have to reduce my Xbox’s resolution to 1080p in order to be able to use variable refresh rate (VRR). This is Xbox’s adaptive sync technology that requires a monitor with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which is why I bought this monitor. This is such an annoying issue because it makes me have to reduce the resolution on many games when I’m lagging too much instead of just turning on VRR, which I’m sure would’ve helped keep my resolution at 1440p. But I’m very impressed that this monitor has a DisplayPort 1.4 Port.

    DDC/CI doesn’t work properly

This monitor cannot handle DDC/CI requests to switch the input and you have to manually use the button joystick to control the OSD. This means it will not, for example, work with software switches like display-switch. If you want to connect this monitor to multiple devices, that may be a deal breaker.Other than that, the display is very nice, especially for the price. If you care about high refresh rate it doesn’t have that, but picture quality is good.

Much better than the 1080p Monitor I bought

I returned a 1080p 144Hz monitor for this one and I am glad I did. The AMD-Freesync is really nice for gaming and the HDR capabilities make everything pop. I chose this monitor over the 4K because the price discrepancy was very large. The outside border is very minimal which is really aesthetically nice. Only con is that it doesn’t have any vertical adjustment or horizontal rotational adjustment. It has a VESA bracket if someone wanted those features.

Very Nice Monitor with Poorly Planned Power Adapter

I am not a gamer, I wanted a bigger monitor so I could have various terminals and browsers open on one screen. I also wanted higher resolution as I do watch a lot of media on my computer.I use this with an HDMI KVM switch, for two towers (insert LOTR joke), one running AlmaLinux, one running FreeBSD. The monitor picked up both of them with no problem and the Nvidia driver on both machines got the right resolution. Videos are much nicer to watch, not only because of the extra screen room, but the quality. I can now read some websites that I had to change to dark mode to read with my old monitor.I use the computers’s sound with speakers, but did test this monitor’s sound with a laptop and it works well. There’s a second HDMI port, you can plug in a second HDMI cable, and choose with one to use. (You have to use the monitor’s switch, there isn’t a hot key).My main complaint is the power adapter. Rather than a brick in the middle, and use a standard NEMA-5-15-P, they chose to make it larger. Therefore, in a power outlet or on a power strip, one either needs an adapater or to leave an empty outlet next to the monitor’s power cord. I get more aggravated by this than I should, but it does seem that it shouidn’t be a difficult decision or difficult to design.Aside from that, though I can’t attest to its attributes as a gaming monitor, it’s a very, very nice monitor for its price point. I would definitely recommend it to someone who doesn’t need it for gaming. To be honest, i don’t know that it’s bad for gaming, just that a gamer friend looked and said, It should be fine for you, you don’t game. The monitor also includes an HDMI cable and a Display port cable. I didn’t measure them but they seem to be 4-5′ length.

Great monitor with bad quailty control

This review is for LG 32qn600-B.Pro:.Bright, large, 3-side narrow edged screen with ΔE<5 and ~99% SRGB right out of box. This 8 FRC 10 bit IPS screen shows decent/nice color and sharpness..HDR effect mode on high resolution 10bit movie/video rocks..Reader mode is very effective on reducing eye strain over long period time of viewing..LG offers software for win/mac user to adjust and split the screen directly from computer..75Hz refreshing rate, ~4ms gtg and FreeSync could handle casual gaming very well..Good input selection. There are 2 HDMI and one DP 1.4 port with DP and HDMI cable..Power adapter design. Simple, elegant and easy to install stand (tilt) with VESA for multi screen.Con:.I got 2 defected screen in a row. The first one has a dead pixel. The replacement has an area of about 4-10 pixels (size of the tip of a ball pen) of dark shade, also known as dirty screen effect DSE. This DSE is quite visible on the still bright background from 2-3 feet away..The package of the screen is one the worst I’ve ever seen. There are 4 large areas of opening on the polystyrene foam front block. This means in these areas, the only thing between the front side of the screen and the outside paper box is air..The usual IPS glow, edge/corner light leak also apply to this monitor, however, they are not severe..No speaker, but with an audio output. This monitor will show up in the op system as one of the audio sources for that audio output, so, when you have no sound coming out from any speaker, the first thing you need to check is the op system’s sound output setting.Other thoughts: This monitor has certified color calibration right out of box . Lots of people might want to use it on content creation. However, having screen defects such as dead pixel and DSE will slow down the work and greatly defeat that purpose. To make things worse, the very bad package of this monitor increases the chance of screen damage when transferring in the box. It is important that buyers need to carefully check every new monitor they got with monitor diagnostic software. It is especially important for this monitor if you are serious about doing content creation on it. Please keep in mind: now days, strict quality control from ANY monitor maker is just not there any more. That been said, for an all purpose monitor, this monitor is outstanding. For a large 31.5 inch size, it’s fairly light weight. The 3-side narrow edge and the simple stand give the monitor an elegant and modern look. This 2k screen has good color, contrast and sharpness. It’s great for reading, coding, watching movie and gaming. with the only exception of pro FPS gaming (high refresh rate is a must for that). By the way, mild DSE won’t be much of a problem for none content creation uses here. Finally, on the rating, if the flawless is 5 stars, each of the defect screen lost 1.5 star for it. The amazon customer service is just great, gain 1 star back for it. So, LG, you owe amazon one.

    Good monitor, Appears Used

This review is of the 24″ model, LG 24QP500-B 24” QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Display. I appear to have received a used monitor. The protective covering had already been removed from the monitor and stand. The two screws used to secure the monitor to the included stand were missing and the other items were not in packaging, like they have been for two other LG monitors I recently ordered. I reached out to Amazon who sent me to LG for replacement screws. LG customer support was easy to work with and should have the screws out here in 7 to 10 business days. Monitor appears to work fine and I would buy another (hopefully new).

I am in love with this monitor

This is the first product review I have ever written, literally ever on any website. After hating the last two monitors I tried (27″ Samsung CF390 and 27″ Acer V277U) I told myself if this was actually the one I would write a review for it, and I literally could not be happier.Just to preface, I’m using this for work and study related things and not for gaming so I can’t speak for its performance under gaming conditions.I am using this as a screen for my mid-2012 MacBook Pro (13″ non-retina) and it is working AMAZING. So first I tried it with the mini-displayport to HDMI cable and it was pretty good, still better than the last two monitors I tried, but according to the system preferences I wasn’t able to access the 2560 x1440 resolution, only 1080p. I shrugged it off because I was still enamored with quality at 1080p, but then after reading an unrelated article about displayport vs. HDMI I decided to order a mini-displayport to displayport cable just to see if I could notice the difference and BOOM! I could now access the 2560 x 1440 resolution, and holy cow what a difference it made, it went from good to out of this world with just that cable change.Keep in mind I am not a connoisseur of high quality computer components so I am sure to plenty of people who are in the know, this screen would not impress them compared to what’s currently available, but if you’re looking for a wonderful external screen, at a very reasonable price, for your mid-2012 MacBook Pro, to help you boost productivity and bring back some enjoyment in using your computer then this is definitely worth trying out!I know it may seem like maybe I’m exaggerating some, but it’s all relative, I am used to looking at a 13″ 1080p screen, and seeing my work on this large of a screen at 2560 x 1440 just melted my mind.If you do have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro definitely get the mini-displayport to displayport cable! Hope this helps someone!

    Great “Budget” 1440p Monitor

I have a dedicated high refresh rate monitor for games and needed a second for work and to play videos on when games because that’s the world we live in. Colors matched my other monitor with minor menu tweaking. At 60hz refresh I don’t have any issues with video playback. I don’t think this panel shines at anything, but there is nothing that it lacks or is terribly bad at. It can do the job. Aside from medium to serious gaming and video fidelity.Cons. I wish it had more connectivity. With just 1 DP and 2 HDMI, it feels lacking. I also wished it could be used as a USB hub. Not sure how anything over $200 doesn’t also have at least 2 USB ports for charging or plugging in a dongle. Lastly, I wish monitors around this range of “do office work, productivity, and light multimedia work” were about $50 cheaper. This demographic is NOT new so why am I paying so much for not a single outstanding feature? Still, 5 stars because I do not feel ripped off.

    Great cassual gaming monitor

I bought this monitor just for gaming. I’m not a wealthy person so I bought it used. I bought it as “used-aceptable”. The condition of the item was “like new”, the item description said “it will be damaged on the top and bottom, also sides”. I was nervous, but it came as a “like new” item. Related to the accesories, the description also said that there were few missing items, but the accesories were all there, as a brand new. After using for a few minutes, I red in the information display that the Monitor had 60 hours of use. The unique problem I found is that for a resson that I don’t know, the speakers dosen’t work while the monitor is on, but whem the monitor is in stand by mode, the speakers works. I don’t know why this works like this.Related to the monitor, I’m a cassual player, it’s also my first monitor with freesync ir Gysync, also more hz than 60. I’ve used 4k tv’s, just for Netflix or similar. This is my first 1440p monitor. I have used for a few days so I don’t belive that my review should be seriously taken into account. I love the colours of the monitor, also it’s my first HDR monitor. The colours are more vivid, I also love the resolution, I’m enjoying it with a 2070 super. Related to the Hz, I won’t lie, I couldn’t see any diference, while playing LOL or Destiny 2. But yes, the colours and resolution are awesome.Related to the construction, the most week part I could see si the stand, it’s not enough stronger to hold the monitor, so I bought a wall arm.So yeah, if you are not intrested in “professional gaming” and you are looking for a 1440p 32″ monitor, I would recommend this one.

    Can of (upgrade) worms

I had a matched pair of QHD montiors from Lenovo, but one of them just died one day. With that out of warranty I sought a replacement.Usually I have a very specific list of things to look for but, I was so ticked off my 2 year old monitor died, I found this and at a great price I bought it on a whim. This is a fantastic looking monitor. Colors are bright, the picture is sharp, I didn’t get any dead pixels, and the vesa mount sits the monitor lower than my other monitor so it’s easier to see. There are lots of different settings to customize the picture and LGs interface to do so is probably the easiest I’ve ever used.Playing around with this is when I started seeing how…old…my overall setup is. My PC and KVM can’t use the HDR because they only support Displayport 1.1. The preset color profiles and adjustment settings on the Lenovo monitor are very basic and rudimentary compared to this one. I was able to get the monitors aligned and the color calibration adjusted so they match as close as they can. I used the LG as the reference because it’s a much nicer monitor, and I was surprised at how much better the old monitor looks because of it.This monitor leaves me with some future upgrades in order to take full advantage of it, but even using it with my “legacy” setup, it’s probably the best monitor I’ve ever owned.

bright, brilliant picture – great upgrade

This is an upgrade of my 24″ monitor, which I got back when I wasn’t a savvy monitor consumer and just went for a cheap big screen. No so anymore and I know what I need. I’m not a gamer so a 75hz refresh was all I required. What I was after was full gamut of color, screen wide consistency, stable blacks, reflection control, HDR capable, and all for a reasonable price (check Rtings) — this one checks all the boxes. If there is a nit, the stand does not height adjust, only tilts, but it works OK in my setup.

    VESA Fail

I ordered this display as the third 32″ in an upgrade of my desk rack from 27″. I was excited to mount this and be done with my upgrade, but the VESA mount is funky; it’s recessed for the stand. The problem is that to line these up at the proper height I have to use the bottom two VESA mounting holes. Because these are recessed, it made the mount cock-eyed, and would not work. So if you’re using the VESA mount, you better keep in mind the mount is recessed, and if you aren’t going in square on all four holes, it won’t work right. I was sad because I was excited to use this monitor in my array, but I can’t tell you what kind of image it gives you because of the mount – I never even got to turn it on.

Great image quality – annoying input switching

I am very impressed with the image quality of this monitor. I replaced an older 1080p monitor with this IPS monitor. To my eye, the colors are richer and more nuanced, and the blacks are darker. I feel like my eyes are less fatigued at the end of the day – most likely thanks to the reduced blue light. The additional pixel density is another plus. From a pure image display perspective, I’m very happy with this monitor. My biggest frustration with this monitor (and the reason I rated it at 4 stars overall) is that it does not automatically switch between inputs. I have two different computers connected to the monitor. Whenever I switch computers, I have to manually switch monitor inputs.Switching inputs is a manual process:1: press the little 5-way button on the bottom of the monitor straight up2: press the button to the left to select the input menu3: press the button forward/back to select the desired input from the list of 3 choices (2 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort)4: press the button straight up to make the selected input activeMy prior 2 monitors did not require manual input switching. Is this a deal breaker? No, but I would have seriously considered a different monitor if I had known this before making my purchase. Also, I have some concerns about the durability of that little 5-way switch on the bottom of the monitor. Only time will tell.

Great Monitor especially at this price

This is my 5th LG monitor over the years, after several days of running various programs and shows through it, the vibrant colors and clarity over my previous 1080p is night and day difference. The 1080 was also 32″, but overall this monitor’s footprint is comparatively much smaller since its frame is so small. This would make a 2 panel setup quite attractive, provided you prefer flat screens like I do.The settings out of the box were spot on, but I tinkered with them a little to get where I wanted them to be and I have to say, the HDR looks amazing. Text is exceptionally crisp even using smaller font sizes and the 1440 resolution is wonderful. Most of the settings I was able to enable through windows. However if you want to enable the Freesynch you will have to play with the hatswitch on the bottom center, it’s a bit finicky, but if you play with it a bit you can figure it out.As for the stand. Most negative reviews speak of how flimsy the stand is and I have to say, personally that isn’t my experience. Tightening the bolt so that the legs are firmly attached to the post was all I had to do, and once put in place, I don’t move my monitors. That said, you *can* put this on a VESA mount, just make sure it can handle the weight of it’s 20lbs weight.

Outstanding Monitor – Especially For The Price

I purchased this as an upgrade to a 7 year old LCD monitor that didn’t provide enough real estate for me as I will be working from home starting next month. The pixel density and larger resolution are exactly what I needed. I find this single monitor with more pixels a better solution for home use than taking up a lot of space with a dual monitor setup in my smaller home office space. I never used the stand provided – this went right on to an articulating arm, so I can’t speak to that aspect of the device. Hooked up to my MacBook Pro, this thing is great. Plenty of brightness (I’m someone who actually prefers to tone down the brightness anyway) and it’s crystal clear and so smooth compared to a standard monitor. I have zero eye fatigue/strain after a 6 hour coding or writing session which is wonderful. My previous monitor was really bothersome in this area. This LG arrived quickly, came with all the cords needed, and is defect-free. It is a significant improvement over a standard/older/cheap 1080p monitor – so if you’re on the fence regarding an ‘upgrade’ here – do it! Absolutely worth it and a noticeable improvement in my opinion. The only thing that I would improve with the unit is the power supply – a bulky wall wart that really messes up my power strip situation. I recommend getting one of those short 6″ extension cord thingys to remedy this. Other than that… it’s a no brainer purchase in my book for anyone looking for a really solid, much better than average, monitor on a budget.

    EXCELLENT MONITOR

The LG Monitor is a high-performance display that offers an impressive range of features and capabilities for users. This monitor offers a 32-inch size for multitasking and productivity with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which ensures that images and text are sharp and easy to read, while the 16:9 aspect ratio provides a cinematic viewing experience. It is an excellent option for anyone looking to upgrade their computer display. In terms of connectivity, the monitor has two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, and a headphone jack which allows users to easily connect multiple devices. A true high-performance display, large screen size, and fast refresh rate make it a versatile option for both work and play.

When SDR Is Better Than HDR, There’s a Problem

I wanted to love this monitor, especially because, though LG claims it covers 99% of the sRGB color space, the Spyder 5 colorimeter and software found that it covers around 110% more colors than that. The software itself seems to have maxed out at 100% for the figure, but the graph it showed told a different–and better–story (see attached photo), and the picture in SDR is great. But, one of the monitor’s big selling points is that it has HDR, particularly that it’s “HDR10 Compatible.” Yet, when I switch to HDR in Windows 10, I’ve found that colors in about the top 20% of luminance get clipped completely to white. Perhaps this is because it’s not a true 10-bit display, but rather the “fake” HDR of 8-bit+FRC (except see below, as the TV I mention has the same approach to HDR), but whatever the case, it’s a major issue with displaying HDR content. For all the good HDR does on this monitor, I’ve found that SDR is actually better, since fewer light colors get clipped, even when the monitor’s brightness is turned all the way up (which still gives it as much overall brightness as there is when using HDR, though I keep it at 120 nits when using SDR). I have an LG TV with HDR that was made when HDR10 was just starting to take hold in the market, and it has better HDR performance than this monitor that is several years newer.I also found that the advertised maximum brightness of 350 nits is a bit off. While it’s not a huge thing, I’ve only been able to get 344 nits out of it.Aside from the minor issue of maximum brightness and the pretty major issue of clipping a huge chunk of light colors to pure white, the picture is clear, sharp, and decently saturated. It’s great for photo editing (in the sRGB color space, at least), everyday productivity (Word, PowerPoint, web browsing), watching streaming services (again, as long as you don’t use HDR), and non-HDR video production and gaming.Overall, the monitor seems pretty solid. I just expected better HDR performance, and since that was one of its biggest selling points, I can’t give it more than 3 stars. But, since it performs admirably in SDR, I’ll not give it fewer than 3 stars. If I could go back and do things differently, I would pass on this monitor and spend the extra money on one that is capable of true 10-bit HDR. I really did want to love this monitor, but at this point, I’m settling for liking it well enough.

    Medium-Sized, Medium-Resolution, Good Value

Looking into the LG 24QP500-B, it was clear this 24” QHD monitor hits the sweet spot for those looking for a compact yet high-resolution display. It doesn’t boast a blistering refresh rate, so die-hard gamers will probably want to look elsewhere. But for everyday use? It’s a solid choice. It gets the job done without frills. Don’t expect top-of-the-line specs; instead, anticipate reliable, consistent performance. It may not lead the pack in any specific category, but it’s a steadfast workhorse that you can count on day in, day out.The monitor shines in its value-for-money aspect. For a pretty reasonable price, you’re getting a QHD resolution on a medium-sized monitor. Finding a smaller form factor with this kind of resolution can be surprisingly tricky, making this LG model a nice find. The 60Hz refresh rate is something to bear in mind. It’s not going to blow you away in fast-paced gaming scenarios, but for general computing, streaming, or office work, it’s entirely sufficient. So there you have it. If you’re in the market for a medium-sized, medium-resolution monitor that won’t break the bank but still delivers on quality, the LG 24QP500-B is worth considering. Hope this was helpful to you.

    Very Nice for SOHO Use

I use a pair of these with my home and work laptops, both through a docking station. Out-of-the-box calibration is very good, which was confirmed further by the Display Quality Assurance Report that came in the box, with a Gamma of 2.2, perfect color temperature, and a Delta E of under five (to my eye it looks like around a 2, and I have only owned color calibrated monitors prior to this one.)Not sure I’d recommend this monitor for anything more than light gaming unless you have an AMD graphics card that supports FreeSync. Even then, the max refresh rate of the monitor is only 75Hz, which is not suitable for most serious gamers.

This monitor is good for what it costs.

This monitor is great for work and gaming, just not for high performance gaming because the refresh rate is not high enough for that. My wife liked this monitor so much for office work and internet usage that I had to get her a second matching monitor for her to now have a dual monitor setup. A tip for you if you like a brighter display, turn on HDR Effect if your computer graphics cannot provide a HDR Mode signal. On our computer setup one monitor could be run on HDR Mode but not on the second monitor at the same time. To get the pictures on both monitors to be as bright as possible without using true HDR Mode, and too also look the same, turning on the HDR Effect setting on both monitors worked.

    Value for money

I purchased this monitor 2 years ago when it was on sale. At the time I needed a monitor that performs at media consumption and gaming.Pros:-Good color calibration out of the box.-QHD at decent price at the time.-10 bit for people that care about shades.-Gets bright with the 350 nits-75hz which is 25% more than traditional 60hz.-Comes with software which partitions the screen for apps and it can also adjust OSD settings. It slows down the PC at launch though.-Still works like new as the day I got it.Cons:-Fast paced gaming causes screen tearing and little bit of ghosting.-it’s around 13lb so makes it a bit harder to work with VESA mounts without tweaks.-The button requires a bit more force than other monitors.Overall I got my value out of this monitor. I’m planning to upgrade soon to 27 inch 144hz QHD as i’m trying to run a dual monitor setup and this is a bit too big for me now.

Won’t make your Mac extended screen look any better than 1080 24″ monitor

I had been using an Asus 24″ 1080 monitor for years and decided I needed a better (bigger) screen for these old eyes. I had been a PC guy for decades (because that is what work dictated) and now that I have retired, I wanted to get back to my Apple roots, since I’m already in the apple environment with my phone. I took the opportunity when the new MacBook Air M2 came out this summer and made the jump, but quickly learned that Apple manages screen resolutions significantly different than Microsoft. After a lot of research and some testing on 4K screens, I learned that Apple upscales/downscales natively in the 100dpi/200dpi range (which is how they get “retina” quality on their screens. So plugging a 4K monitor will improve quality at the sacrifice of size. However, if you allow Apple to “custom scale” resolution, this can eat up a lot of gpu processor bandwidth and, depending on what kind of work you are doing, impact performance. At the 4K price these days, I didn’t need this aggravation. the 1440p monitors are a nice compromise, as they will natively upscale/downscale to the 100 dpi range (you can find the formulas online to check), but when one moves to a larger screen, the benefit of the higher resolution is lost because the larger screen offsets the move from 1080p to 1440p quality – giving you basically the same dpi count. All this to say, I ended up with a larger screen, so I have more real estate, but the quality is not any better than the old monitor, and still noticeably inferior to the MacBook screen – though absolutely useable, even for streaming. As far as prior comments, I noticed no “wobbly” effect from the monitor stand. It is just as sturdy as any monitor I have ever owned since they went to a flat screen format. Also, the settings on the monitor area easy/peasy, with the small “joy-stick” type input device on the bottom/center of the monitor, rather than the tradition 4 button array found on monitors. At the sale price I got this at, I’m happy with the monitor, though not pleased I could not find a better and affordable solution to the resolution issue inherent with Apple, but this would be the case with any 1440p, 27 inch monitor, so this is not a “ding” to this particular LG product. At the higher price some of the comparable monitors were selling at, I would have returned it.

Good quality at an unbeatable price.

If you are on a budget but still want a decent quality 1440p monitor, this won’t do you wrong. However, don’t expect to be blown away by it. Previously I was daily driving a 1080p Asus. I bought two of these LGs for a dual screen setup. After switching to these, I was a little disappointed with colors. The Asus had better contrast, brightness, saturation, & black levels. I also noticed the lack of local dimming zones. However, it’s still acceptable for everyday casual use. I primarily work from my computer but occasionally game too. It’s perfectly fine for me, but if you do professional color grading work or want a gaming experience with really vibrant colors or a good HDR experience, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a good 1440p experience at a currently (2021) quite enticing price, this monitor is tough to beat. Despite it’s shortcomings, I’m very happy with my decision to buy 2 of these.Things I love:- Not necessarily specific to this monitor, but 27″ is a great size for 1440p. (108 ppi)- Menus & navigation. It was really easy to customize all settings to my liking- Ultra slim bezels!- No dead pixels. I have 2 of these monitors.- Black level adjust. No more eye strain in games with dark scenes- Matte black screen handles reflections well.- PRICE! At least at the time of purchase, nothing else competes, or even exists at this price point.Cons- Viewing angles. Has a perfect viewing spot. Outside of that, blacks are inconsistent across the screen.- Backlight bleed. Problematic with screen brightness above 65-70%.- Black levels. Does not have deep blacks. Black is still black, but other monitors have much deeper blacks.- HDR experience. Wouldn’t recommend bothering with it.- Power cable. Short cable, w/ barrel plug into monitor and an adapter to take up lots of space on your power strip.- Color/Contrast/Saturation. It’s no OLED. It’s even easily beaten by other IPS monitors. Still acceptable, but don’t expect any similarities here with the LG TVs you may see in the store. Conclusion: None of the cons were a deal breaker for me and I’m happy. 1440p monitors are expensive, but a dual monitor setup was reasonable with these. If you have the money to spend on a higher quality 1440p monitor, do it. But if you are like me and want decent quality 1440p on as small of a budget as possible, this monitor is absolutely the way to go.

Great at any price. Extraordinary at this price.

I cannot say enough good things about this LG monitor. My laptop can (supposedly) display 4k, but it strains to do so. (no dedicated graphics card). But 2k is a sweet spot for me. This monitor gives me high resolution, no lag or excess heat on the laptop. I tried other monitors but returned. 100% recommended. Down load the management tool (Windows), it makes adjustments much easier.

Great picture, but almost too big

Good picture quality and brightness. But I sit with my eyes 24″ to 30″ from my screen, and this thing is almost too big for me. The upper left and right corners feel too far away, especially given my eyesight and high-index glasses. If I were to buy this big of a monitor again, I think I’d go with a curved screen.

Ubuntu Linux Intel Graphics Compatibility Issues

Ubuntu Linux Intel Graphics Compatibility Issues (Dell Inspiron 15 3511 with Intel Iris XE graphics):If you’re planning on having a similar setup, be aware that you will probably end up spending an extra $100 or so to get the recommended resolution and refresh rate.Out of the box, highest resolution showing in the menus is 1080p.In Ubuntu Mate (which uses X), I could get 1440p at 30hz by using the terminal (xrandr xrandr –newmode “2560x1440_30.00” 146.25 2560 2680 2944 3328 1440 1443 1448 1468 -hsync +vsync) (xrandr –addmode HDMI2 “2560x1440_30.00”).As evidenced by an old article at notebookcheck.com, this has been a longstanding problem for Intel graphics in Ubuntu. It probably doesn’t help that this monitor’s EDID does not include the highest resolutions/refresh rates. Judging by searched of forums, LG is pretty notorious for not playing well with Linux.I couldn’t stand having only 30hz so I invested in the Elecable USB 3.0 to Displayport/HDMI adapter. This only works in Wayland, not X, so switched to the main Ubuntu desktop and installed the drivers from the Displaylink webpage. It just works: can get 1440p at both 60 and 75 hz. Does seem to make the fan run alot, however, and system monitor shows all cores working hard when doing routine web surfing (probably has something to do with all the ads all my favorite webpages have).Instead of intending to buy a pricey Displaylink adapter, probably makes more sense to invest that money in a pricier monitor from a brand that has better Linux compatibility in the first place.

DVI interface failed after 2 days.

The packaging was very good and protected the monitor. Included Display Port and HDMI cables along with the 12 volt AC adapter. This monitor uses a DC adapter, not an AC cable. One surprise. So I got the monitor mounted and connected to my Lenovo docking station Display Port using the supplied cable. Seems to work fine, after using the joystick to select the input. Another surprise.Used it for an hour or two and then left the computer for supper. ThinkPad went into power saving mode, as usual. However, the wake up didn’t wake up the monitor. I had to use the joystick to power it back up. At least it picked the same input. I used the settings menu to turn off the “Smart Power” service to keep it from powering down during sleep mode. The monitor still wakes up slowly, but it did wake up.Next day, the Display Port showed “No Input detected”. Argh, this is the reason I replaced my BENQ 24. Swapped the DP port on the docking station and the screen came back up, after a power cycle of the monitor. That worked for 1 hour and one wake-up cycle. Again, “No Input”. So I switched to HDMI and had to set up the display options on the ThinkPad again.Warned that the input wasn’t the correct setting – but then it worked ok.

Beautiful Screen for both text and Pictures

I would have given this monitor 4.5 stars if that were possible, simply because you can’t adjust the height. They sell a very similar model that does allow such adjustments, but the additional cost is a bit much. Given that the height is fixed, they screen is quite lovely at either the default resolution or the lower 1080p, depending upon your video card’s capabilities. I like that it has TWO HDMI ports, plus a legacy Display port, although I would have preferred either a DVI or VGA port instead of the Display port, simply because that is what my other computer has. I don’t use this monitor for gaming at all, so I can’t comment on how well it might work in that regard, but for all other types of computer uses, including photography editing, playing YouTube videos or doing work with spreadsheets or Word documents, it is very nice for the money. A small tip, I looked at this monitor on Amazon and it was $249. I waited a day and then ordered it with delivery set for the next day. The day it was delivered I went back to Amazon to check one of the specs and it had dropped in price about $25. Too late for me, but you might check on several days and see if the price fluctuates. This also happened to a TV I bought from Amazon, although luckily that time I got the lower price. Caveat emptor!

    Over aggressive sleep mode

I got two of these for my desk at work and they seem to work just fine, primarily with engineering and CAD related functions Nice picture. DP 1.4 is nice to have. The sleep mode (adjustable from off to 8 hours of inactivity) requires one to boop the power button to wake them back up. Basically every other monitor I’ve ever used would wake if I wiggle the mouse. A minor annoyance, I guess, but if I disable the sleep mode, you can see the monitor is always on with a subtle glow. Probably would shorten life if I disable the sleep mode. My other recent LG monitor (24UD58-B) wakes up like normal with a mouse wiggle. It has the same menu interface, so I’m not sure why this functionality is different.
