Remote does not have speaker button for Alexia

The description of TV says that Alexia is built in. Yet, the remote does not have a speaker button, to access Alexia. The literature included with the TV shows a completely different remote than was sent with the TV. Would like to know how to get this problem resolved. Thank you.

    Nice TV terrible remote control

Worst remote control ever. I have to use a flashlight to see it when the lights are dimmed, otherwise I will fat finger it because the buttons are so small and close together. ***For those who report the TV is slow / laggy: This TV’s operating system is called WebOS, which is a web-based (internet) platform. If the channel guide is slow, or if the menu is not responsive, these functions are a part of the WebOS, which relies on a stable, fast internet connection…so if you have slow internet or the TV is far away from the wifi access point or router, the TV will also be slow. I personally would recommend download speeds of 100mbps for these smart TV’s…I have a fiber connection in my home and get about 300mbps – the TV never disconnects from wifi and the menu and channel guide are quick and responsive.

UPS Delivery guy is the best!

The TV is good. However, the UPS delivery guy was the best! He did not leave the TV on our front porch, because we weren’t home, but took it to the back to make sure it wasn’t taken.

I do not like the remote. Probably why LG changed it. You have to point it just so to work. Connected easily to my network. Wireless connectivity is great.

    Good enough

Picture quality is great, but has bare minimum for smart tv features. Can’t say they lied though. Not bad for the money, additionally, LGs last long, so it’s a trade-off.

Nice Smart TV but Remote not so smart!

I caught a great deal on this tv and I must say the picture is very clear. The size is perfect for my bedroom and the volume is pretty good as well. My only complaint is the remote. My husband and I agree that there are way too many buttons on this remote. Compared to the other smart TVs (fire, Roku, etc) we have in the home, this one just has a complicated remote with most of the buttons we will never even use. We are trying to find a universal remote that is less intimidating lol. I think they were just doing way too much when deciding on what to include on this remote. Half the time we are just trying to hit play, forward or rewind and we end up hitting a completely different button that kicks us out of our show because of the many small, close together buttons on this remote.

Only issue (after 3 wks) is the remote

Love the tv (great picture and features, nice sound options—esp nice for hearing challenged—but the remote needs a redesign. The most frequently used buttons are way at the bottom so one-handed use is difficult. I’d also prefer a slightly larger remote so buttons would be larger and more visible. Otherwise very happy with the purchase.

This DID NOT come with the “Magic Remote” that was supposed to be with it.

The TV is great, but the manual and help info tell you how to do everything with a “Magic” remote that had a microphone built in. The remote that came with it, was some form of cheap non microphone version. Not sure why, but now I have to buy the actual remote for the tv. The included remote works, but is definitely NOT what the tv was manufactured with.

Great minimalistic Budget tv would recommend when on sale slim design retro style remote sound is a little muffled but depending on what you watch. (Can be adjusted well enough in Settings)Decent responsive remote and TV function, depending on your internet speed however TV has cool little Lan portOverall nice TV for the priceOverall 4.5 outta 5

Great TV does not support Alexa out of the box

It is a great TV. but the Alexa app is useless with the provided remote. There is no Alexa button on the remote that comes with this TV. You need to purchase a different remote from LG for 50 bucks.. Seems like a rip off.. so, no using Alexa on this device.

    Hard to keep WiFi connection

Have reset the TV at least once a day to reestablish WiFi connection. The Network Settings option just has an never ending spinning wheel and nothing appears to connect to. Once we unplug everything, forcing a reboot, and turn the TV back on, it automatically connects to the Internet.

    Lightweight smart tv

Pretty pleased with the tv so far although setting it up was a bit tricky. It takes forever for the tv to come on for viewing unless we turn it off and right back on – then it loads tv immediately. We called for assistance but it didn’t resolve the issue. Picture quality is decent, there are many modes to choose from which makes a big difference on quality depending on whether you are watching sports, a movie, etc… would recommend

    Honest review

Tv screen quality is great for the price. Amazon delivery was great and an easy process. Now for the cons, the audio quality is not the best. Its ok, but definitely sounds off. I recommend getting a good sound bar.Setup was probably the longest and most tedious process ive done for any tv brand i have had so far. LG makes it so that you have to do a lot of registering, agreeing to terms, adding apps, etc. Also the physical remote is terrible. Good thing they have a virtual remote appOverall if you get the tv on sale for around $450 its a good deal for the size (65″).

    Good tv, pitiful remote

The remote control is not the one shown in the photo on the details. The one that comes with the tv is not a smart remote, no voice control. Order an LG smart remote but then tv says this remote is not compatible with the tv. All in all a good tv, but LG needs to update their remote and moreover not show an incorrect remote in the advertisement.

Great picture easy from box to table and initial setup.

To say that the included remote was created when the engineers were higher than a kite is a kind comment. You only have two HDMI ports 1 USB port, and a coax for an antenna. After that initial set up is complete, the agony starts with multiple opportunities to foul up what you were trying to do with what actually happens. Just consider it your opportunity to perform heart surgery on yourself when you have hiccups. A streaming stick is your friend.

    Some frustration encountered

The tv offers a plethora of features at a very reasonable price point. Picture quality is very good with several viewing modes to choose from. The issue I experienced was trying to find the correct combination of settings to get audio to play through the tv speakers. A call to LG did not solve the problem although the customer service person was courteous and tried hard to resolve the sound issue. After trying numerous “fixes” I managed to get sound. I can’t tell you how it happened…the steps that resolved the problem…but all is good at the moment. It just should not be a mystery to get sound at initial setup.

    As advertised

It came a day early! The box was falling apart a bit at the bottom but otherwise great condition, no damage to the tv.I got the 65” and it’s a bit heavy but manageable to lift from the middle by myself. The legs were easy to put in (2 screws and 2 little peg pieces each). They seemed unstable prior to installation but they work great!Remote initially scared me bc a lot of the reviews were complaints about it not matching, not working, or some other issue. FALSO ALARM THO—I put one of the batteries in backward lmao. Worked like a charm after I realized haha.Setup was super easy. You can do manual or through a QR code in your phone.Picture quality is really really good. I usually run my tv on “vivid” and this HDR color really puts in some work!Speed is fast. I don’t play games on it but it doesn’t seem to have any lag with the applications and streaming services I use via my Apple TV.All in all I love it!!!

    Fine Quality Item

I am pleased with this TV. It was inexpensive and works great. I noticed there doesnt seem to be an mlb dot tv app in the app store but I think that may be just a smart tv thing right now. It has all of the major streaming apps, and all of the not major ones too. Picture and color is great. The remote is a little on the small size for my aging eyes but otherwise highly recommend.

    Good tv

It is a decent TV for the price. The setup was easy, but the legs being close to the sides require a big tv stand, at least 50 inch in length to barely fit. As far as picture quality it is good but I agree with the reviewers that remote is not good, it is very unresponsive when you are navigating internet media content or smart features. I will most likely buy a 4k Roku stick. Some apps are not in the smart tv such as spectrum tv. The sound is okay for a typical smart tv, but I opted to buy an LG sound bar to enhance its sound quality. And the tv looks good esthetically, I think 400+ dollars is a bargain.

The Most Annoying TV I’ve Ever Owned

Nice looking TV with a great picture, however it has several flaws. The TV constantly disconnects from Wi-Fi, even though the router is only about 40 feet away in a home with an open floor plan. My 6-year-old TCL TV never had a single connectivity issue.I have my soundbar connected to the TV via Bluetooth, but sometimes, the TV will just “forget” the Bluetooth connection, and I’ll have to go into the settings to find the device again and connect to it.I think it’s annoying that the TV prompts you to reconnect to Bluetooth every single time it starts up. I wish there was a way to just set it to connect by default. There is no situation in which I would NOT want to connect to my soundbar when I turn my TV on. I also find it very annoying that the TV defaults to trying to show cable TV channels, instead of just going straight to the home screen when it starts up. I don’t use cable TV – we exclusively use YouTube TV, Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube. Both the home screen and the remote are insanely cluttered. I often find myself pressing the wrong button by accident, or clicking on the wrong icon on the home screen. There’s no 3.5mm output jack for non-Bluetooth sound devices, and my Chromecast also doesn’t seem to work via the USB port, but maybe that’s just me.Overall, this thing has been super annoying to use. I ultimately decided to return it and continue using my old-but-trusty TCL. I would not recommend this TV.

Most Frustrating TV I have EVER Owned

My 20 Year LG PLASMA TV with a Roku stick is 10 times better than this one, do yourself a favor and save your sanity and your money by purchasing another brand. The lag time on this tv is more frustrating than the tiny remote which has buttons so close together you will rest assured, hit the wrong button, which will set you in a motion that you will want to throw it at the screen, why TVs get larger and remotes smaller is beyond me and please do not even think about using this LG remote in dim light or in the dark as it has zero backlight features. I spent the extra money for the smart remote and thankfully I had read enough reviews to have purchased the correct one…what a joke, it uses a mouse like a computer mouse with a pointer that never wants to leave the screen. It is now in a drawer and another waste of my hard-earned money. I will be replacing this terrible tv at a loss as soon as I am able and will purchase a 70-inch Vizio for less money than I paid for this sad unit…FYI, I have a one-story home with fiber internet at 200 mbps with less than 55 feet from the router so the lag time is not due to my internet.

By far the best TV I have ever owned incredible picture incredible features the AI sound and the AI picture just takes the guesswork out of it bounces everything out perfectly and then I got to stand for mine for 60 bucks at Amazon easy to put together and it holds the TV nice and steady I got the 65 inch LG Tanya love this TV the sounds amazing all the extra features all the channels that are built in you can’t go wrong what a great purchase great price. Also I want to mention one thing the first TV that I received was broken brand new out of the box but the seller had a new TV at my front door the very next morning at 8:30 in the morning I had a replacement it wasn’t broken it was absolutely brand new in the box I just that was incredible customer service I could not believe it within 24 hours I had it replacement at my front door

    Decent for the price

Got this back in October and can say it’s ok for the cost. It functions the way I thought it would given the low cost. The issues that I’ve come across is that there is judder with faster image movement and the GUI is super slow to respond. I imagine the lag in GUI response has to do with a poor processor. HDR is not the best as it does not get very bright. I also noticed that in order to control the TV, the remote has to be pointed at the TV unlike a Samsung TV that I have that more than likely uses Bluetooth or some other type of connection that doesn’t require the remote to be pointing at the IR sensor on the TV. Overall, this TV is an OK buy and does what I need it to. I will be replacing this TV as soon as I get the opportunity. I would recommend to do your research before making a purchase. I use rtings website to get a full report on TVs that I’m interested in.

Great Picture, Not so Great Software and Remote Control

I made sure to have the deliver and unpack guys open the box and turn the tv on in the garage before leaving. They did it super quickly and also arrived right at the beginning of the delivery window!Everything looked good, so mounted the 65″ in my home office next to my desk. The ‘smart’ part and the remove are not so great but the picture quality and sound are great so far.I decided to transfer the google tv on my main samsung smart tv to this lg one, but I think that’s a fair concession for a 65 in tv sub $500 with a really nice picture quality.I’m overall very happy with this purchase.

I wanted a new 4K tv for my bedroom. Unfortunately in 55” plain minutes motors are outrageously priced so I picked what turned out to be the dumbest “smart tv” on the planet. The UI fights you every step of the way and the LG app that’s supposed to make it easy is a joke. Now that it’s setup it still tried to drive us to LG content instead in just using HDMI link ke I wantOverall an unacceptable user experience

Great TV but Lousy Instruction brochure

This 50″ LED replaced a 12-year old 50″ LG plasma TV which blew its power supply. Both sets were made in Mexico. The instruction book for the former TV was excellent, however the operating brochure for this new TV is totally useless. As such, I was on the phone with a kindly LG tech rep for over half an hour in order to access and activate our DISH receiver. HDMI 2 was activated, however I’m scared to death to attempt accessing HDMI 1 so I can use our DVD player. I hope for help from another LG tech rep via the phone.

    Clunky interface

This is my first LG TV and while the picture quality is great and the sound is good, the LG default interface is kind of a pain to navigate. Adjusting settings is not intuitive and requires some trial and error on my past to get the TV to operate exactly the way I wanted. It was a great value for the price, but to do it all over again, I would’ve gone with a different manufacturer whose interface is much more user friendly.

    Cannot DL apps

I have tried EVERYTHING to get this TV to DL the apps it comes with-Specifically Netflix and Amazon. They would never install and it always popped up an error. I googled and went through EVERY setting and DL the app that also works as a remote control- factory reset. Nothing. I bought a Firestick and now I access the apps I need through that. But it was VERY frustrating. BESIDES that, the TV works great, sound and picture is perfect.

Life’s Good Products Last Forever & Have Great Quality!

My 7 year old, 60 inch Samsun¿ decided it wanted to show the picture to our channels and movies when it wanted to.After a day or two of dealing with a flickering screen and trying to fix it I gave up and started screen shopping for a new TV on my phone. This LG was priced right and has performed perfectly since it came. The buttons on the remote are fairly small and will take some getting used to but overall it’s a fabulous TV. The internet is even pretty quick on it. May Roku on my old TV via USH would buffer at times. So far this LG has played all the online shows without any issues.I may update this later but after a couple of weeks of watching this TV I am very happy with this purchase.

A Good Value, But Instructions Useless

We’re happy enough with the quality of the television, but operating the remote is another issue. The remote included bears no resemblance at all to the one we received. As a result, using some of the functions is guesswork.

    So easy to set up!

The hardest part about installing my new 50″ LG TV was getting it out of the box! I am a senior citizen and the instructions were simple to follow using the on screen menus. It took only half hour from start to finish. I love my new TV…by the way, this TV replaces an LG 47″ I purchased 11 years ago. Great quality products.
