Great freezer!
Like others, my freezer was either damaged prior to or during shipping. The damage was minor and did not affect the functionality of the unit, though I did have to repair it (the air vent on the side was dislodged, and it was covered in some sort of powdery stuff that I eventually confirmed did not come from the unit itself). The vendor refunded part of the price, and the unit has worked perfectly ever since!I live in the rural US, in an area prone to power outages. I have always wanted a chest freezer because they hold their temperature far longer than a refrigerator/freezer combo, and they pull so little power they’re easier to run on generators. I’m happy I took the plunge!

Nice quiet little unit fits tucked into garage..
Got this unit to stop arguing with pandemic panicked partner who obsessively overpacked our small refrigerator freezer. No one five minutes from a supermarket needs so much unidentifiable frozen food, but we’ve got it and needed a place to offload it since air in refrigerator freezer couldn’t vent and defroster water was puddling in refrigerator base. As it fills, I may use small plastic crates to segregate food types since it is a simple deep box with only a single small wire rack. Had to use a heavy duty surge protector to plug it in since its flat angled plug covered upper outlet used by wine cooler with a similar flat angled plug.

Freezer did work but made a lot of noise. Not quite 2 years it stopped working. Years ago, you never had to buy extended warranties. Well, you better these days…Very frustrating….

Cyclopenltane is used as the coolant – flammable, explosive, toxic – very dangerous, WTF?!
Nowhere on the description is there mention of this freezer using a highly flammable, explosive, and toxic gas as the coolant. There are warnings about sterilization, and to be careful when pregnant on the box, and DANGER signs all over the unit itself. Nobody seems to be mentioning it on the reviews. However, when receiving the unit, there are warnings all over the cardboard box, and a very large CYCLOPENTANE warning (google it) on the outside of the freezer, and more warnings inside the freezer. It’s actually scary. Amazon – why is this even allowed to be sold if it’s so potentially hazardous. And of course, made in China, so it had to travel how far in a shipping box, getting banged around. Makes me afraid to plug the thing in, especially with the multiple signs saying Warning: Do not puncture, flammable refrigerant.Great energy efficiency – sure, but at what cost. Buyer beware.Found this when googlingThe following acute (short-term) health effects may occur immediately or shortly after exposure to Cyclopentane: * Contact can irritate and burn the skin. * The vapor can cause eye, nose and throat irritation. * Exposure can cause you to feel dizzy, lightheaded, and to pass out.ICSC 0353 – CYCLOPENTANE. Highly flammable. Heating will cause rise in pressure with risk of bursting. Vapour/air mixtures are explosive.Read that last part again. Vapour/air mixtures are EXPLOSIVE. But first you pass out I guess, so maybe it’s a painless way to go? Holy OMG.There are notes in the manual about not putting the unit anywhere where it will be 100 F or more. No way this can go in my garage in Arizona. Pray you don’t get a faulty one, or one that’s been banged around a bit too much in shipping.

Defective, but full refund given
Compressor was defective out of the box and freezer never got cold, took about 2 weeks to get a refund, but the company was kind enough to fully refund since return of such a large item is impractical. Customer service for thr 3rd party company was helpful and prompt once contacted, amazon needs to work on the process to contact 3rd party sellers to make it easier though, takeslonger to get inital contact that to get resolution

Super convenient and works well
We’ve had this for half a year. It manages the temperature very well, and the insulation is top notch (don’t ask me how I know this). The only point deduction has to do with the ice buildup at the sealing edge. That may be unavoidable, but it tends to appear exclusively on one side. It may be an isolated thing, and it doesn’t really impact the effectiveness.

Very light freezer
This freezer is very light in weight, light construction, thus easy to damage while being shipped. better packing for shipping would be nice. Left front bottom corner damaged as seen by my pictures. As far as the damage goes, it appears that it did not affect the operation of the unit. I am pleased with the freezer after 1 full day of operation. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the damage occurred while shipping. For me, to buy a new appliance, it should be in new condition, without any damage.

So far so good I have it up on 7 which is the highest setting I needed extra freezer space because I’m on a healthy diet and I needed room for the food this little thing works great it’s pretty convenient keeps things cold and has a lot of room that I needed I’ve only had it a couple weeks I am going to say that it’s definitely worth purchasing.

Unit does was damaged upon arrival and stopped working after one week.
The unit worked for the first week, then stopped working altogether. Unit has power to the freezer and plenty of space for ventilation.The seller made good on the freezer. I believe the seller intends to correct future problems with the freezers. Based on thier sincere efforts to make me whole, I would buy from them again.

Quiet and efficient
I got this because I needed a small deep freezer for my apartment. It is the perfect size, and I love it. The green light comes on as the compressor runs, and turns off as it reaches the desired temperature. I have seen some reviews calling it noisy, but honestly my water cooler that’s not to far from it is way more noisy, I don’t even hear the deep freezer, only a tiny noise when it turns on or off.

Follow instructions very very carefully upon initial set-up. Pay attention to the instructions, read the whole Manual, if the freezer gets turned off, start at level 4, then move one click up every 24 hours of you want it cooler, you can’t turn it to the coolest setting all at once, gotta start at (click 4), then move one click up or down every 24 hoursClick 4 is like -14C

FINALLY, A FREEZER IN BLACK!
We remodled our garage with a vintage, industrial, retro vibe with black/metal diamond plated cabinets. This freezer was the perfect finishing piece (replacing our faded white freezer). It took a while to ship but came well packaged. It keeps food nice and cold and is working well. I took off one star for value as we payed more for black, otherwise we are happy with our purchase.

We LOVE this freezer
Perfect size for our family. We did stuff it like a turkey over Thanksgiving but it met our needs and we like how it even lowered our electric bill from the old freezer which was smaller!! Freezers were hard to come by but they delivered!! We really do recommend since we live in Florida we keep it in our AC’d lanai where it doesn’t interfere with our living space. I have noticed it is a little noisier than the other but we don’t mind it when it does its cycling whatever that means. This not a reimbursed review so take it for what it is, just our review imho.

One cold freezer!
I only keep this freezer on medium settings and freeze 2 liter pop bottles of water. It is really a nice freezer and I am so glad that I picked this one. There is lots of room in it. From my experience, I would recommend it to anyone. It arrived safe and undamaged, however fed ex delivered it half a mile away. I had to drive around looking for boxes on neighbors’ properties. So far….a great buy!

Perfect for small kitchen!
First of all let me say my freezer came with no damage from delivery. I was soooo worried about this! This size is perfect for a family of three and fits nicely in my tiny kitchen. Nice little freezer for the money and DELIVERED=)
It was delivered as promised. Came efficiently packaged no dents or blemishes, perfect. We left it sit for a few days unopened to let it adjust from being shipped and after plugging it in we again let it sit with out food storage to adjust to temp and to be certain all was working properly.It is an ideal size for an apartment ,city living , and to ease the wallet from COVID state of being. Will hope to come back and give 5 stars if it continues to work as expected.

Very nice little freezer. Perfect size!!
I have had this freezer for about a month now. It is perfect. It fits everything and came packaged really well. No dents or nicks. I followed the instructions. I didnt plug it in for 24 hours to allow it to settle. Start off with the default temp and leave it set like that for 24 hours, then gradually adjust the temp every hour until you have it set how you want. This allows the compressor to have time to adjust itself. It gets very cold. I am happy with my purchase.

it doesn’t work, at all
Don’t waste your time with this freezer. It doesn’t work, or at least mine did not work. Very little to trouble shoot when you have a plug and a dial and nothing else. I contacted the seller and eventually got someone to return my contact (had to go through amazon directly).The contact seemed very nice, and again, -seemed- helpful, but after several weeks of back and forth of my trying to explain the product doesn’t work, they finally gave me shipping labels. FedEx only. I found a drop off location, and shipped the freezer. It’s been 2 months and still nothing. I contacted the same person, and they wanted my telephone number at that point. That’s not happening. I’m forced to write this off as a lesson learned not to buy large appliances through amazon.

5.0 cubic ft freezer
I had a bit of a mishap in the beginning. Freezer had arrived where I lived but hadn’t been delivered. I finally got it a couple days later and I followed all the instructions. Let it sit all day before I hooked it up. Left it at #4 all day. Next day I filled it with some food and set it on 7….little bit of a problem here… not much suction in the top of the freezer. Within 4 days, I am building up frost right at the top of the freezer. Already had to use the freezer scraper to get ice off the top inside where there should be a secure fit. Keeping my eye on this. Will see what happens in couple weeks and report back. Updating on this freezer Aug 1st. 2021. Although the top seal is not very tight, still keeping things very cold and seems to be working properly. It’s probably costing a little bit more to run the freezer because of the loose seal but it’s still doing a good job. A little bit od frost near the top that I am still clearing of every 3 or 4 days. August 8th. Still having a problem with the seal on my freezer. Have to svrape ice every couple days on the right hand side just under the seal. But everything is still nicely frozen. Just costing a bit more to run it

No Basket Included
Very good Freezer. It gets cool enough. The only bad thing it didn’t come with a basket. I contacted the seller. All they said I have to buy it separately. Thinking 🤔 they will send me as a gift. I should it buy at Sam’s Club. All the same and come with accessories and basket for the same price.

Why? Why? Why?
When people decide to put things on an appliance, why in the name of all that is holy, would you put right above the vent (which will not be shoved against a wall) a PERMANENT YELLOW STICKER just to remind you to take the Styrofoam off before using? Why? Why? WHY? Whoever made that decision, I have been cursing you for the past hour trying to remove that sticker that was useful for 3 seconds and now it is just an ugly reminder that you don’t care if this appliance looks like a cheap stock car that hasn’t made it to nascar yet. Frankly, at this point, that is all I can think about the freezer no matter how good it might be at actually freezing stuff. THINK PEOPLE!!!

Review for 5.0 cubic Foot Freezer (White) – arrived damaged!
So….The freezer (5.0 Cubic Foot White Chest Freezer) was sent quickly and item was received by me after five days in transit vie FedEx. I was present and took the package directly from the delivery driver. There was no apparent visible damage to the external surfaces of the heavy cardboard packaging. I took the item into our garage and carefully removed the packaging.I was dismayed and disappointed to immediately note that the some styrofoam packaging inserts on the right rear corner fell away (broken) as the box was lifted up off of the package base. Inspection revealed the damage on the right rear corner that is shown in the three attached photos.So, I carefully inspected the whole appliance and was somewhat relieved to see no additional damage. My guess is that the item was ‘dropped’ on that right rear corner that was dented and bent. Since there was no apparent damage to the external packaging (I checked it out very carefully prior to opening) I assume that the item was damaged as it was packaged or possibly before it was packaged.I noticed that the removeable grill over the end compartment on the right side (with the compressor and motor) was bulging out – it turned out that some of the screws were stripped, probably because of the damage to the rear right corner. I removed the grill and inspected the item completely to make certain that none of the actual refrigeration components had sustained any damage, as it was noted that the refrigerant used is flammable – didn’t want any of that getting loose inside the house. I did not see any apparent internal damage. I was able to reform the bent damaged area so that the wrinkled metal was not as apparent and also to flatten the grill piece. Re-attached the grill with some larger screws and left freezer upright for about six hours before I powered it up to test whether or not it would actually work.It did, and within about 1.5 hours on setting #4, it had cooled down to just above zero degrees (F).It has been filled with frozen goods to about two-thirds full and has needed to be on setting #6 to maintain an internal temperature of just below zero (F). The freezer is inside our garage where the temperature has ranged from 55 to 72 degrees (F). It has one basket that is suspended just below the lid.The only other thing that I would gripe about is that way the under-carriage is configured makes no sense to me. On the compressor (right side) there are two small rollers aligned so that the freezer would move easily side to side – (Not front to back). On the left side there are adjustable feet (that screw up or down) so that the unit may be leveled somewhat.The freezer seems to be in good working order otherwise – time will tell. The green lamp illuminates when the compressor is running to make things cold, but other than that, it is not lit, so unless the unit is actually trying to get cold, there is no other external indication that the unit is powered up.I would have awarded five stars if the unit had not been received in ‘damaged condition’- and it is my firm opinion that the damage was not the result of mishandling by FedEx. I think it was packaged that way.

The freezer makes noise when running
It’s used for freezing meat. It’s all good, power used is good, same as my Hot Point 7 cu ft freezer, after 72 hours running the Hot Point used 2.47 kwh and yours used 2.38 kwh, that’s great. The problem with your really nice freezer is………….it makes noise when running…………….The noise started when I plugged it in, it has never stopped making noise when running. I was hoping the noise would stop. It sounds like an old refrigerator from when I was a kid………….The delivery was great, it looks very nice. Try plugging them in before shipping to see if they make noise. That would be easier for you and the buyers. Thank you.

Size is important
It took a while for me to find the right size for the right price!! Amazon nailed it! I live in Florida where everything molds. I have to wipe off the seal between the freezer and lid once a month to protect it. I wish the manufacturer made a mild resistant seal for tropical places. Just a suggestion 😊

Quite good so far
I’ll give you some points up front to answer questions, based on what I was delivered:- Sticker on the back (photo included) says 115 volts at 1 amp. Volts x Amps makes it a 115 watt freezer. I’m sure it’s higher at compressor start.- The cord is 4 feet 9 inches. It’s on the right front so if your outlet is to the left, you’ll be short half the circumference of the unit.- I got 2 baskets, not 1. I like it, but if you are loading the bottom, you’ll need a table to set the extra basket on so you can get to the bottom. Baskets are reading closer to 20 degrees than 0 at the bottom. Probably good for ice cream though!- My initial setting is having the dial set just below 4 (the mid-point). My box arrived with a few holes in it. Opening the box, there were multiple Styrofoam inserts to keep at least an inch from the outside box. None of the punctures damaged the freezer. The user guide said to wait 4 hours and keep the unit upright. Based on the dirt and grime on the package my freezer spent a lot of time on the side. I waited 12 hours with the unit upright before operations. Plugged in and ran overnight: Quiet, with a clunk noise (not overly loud) when the compressor turns on and off. Otherwise I can’t hear it running. There is a green light on the front that will light up when the unit is actively cooling. Multiple thermometers showed this to cool to around 0 to -1 degrees F.My personal recommendation: Make sure to leave enough airflow around the unit, especially when first using and also if you add a bunch of non-frozen foods. The unit itself can heat up, trying to displace the warm from the cold. I used a fan to help circulate air around the freezer in these conditions and it seemed to make a big difference.

Damaged prob from shipping
Was very excited about freezer’s arrival. Sadly, when unboxed I saw damage on right, front, bottom corner. The thought of the hassle to exchange is much less than exciting. What a pain.Freezer size looks perfect for our little space, wish it wasn’t damaged. I was so excited about getting to use it.After multiple communications with seller, Although I was hoping to exchange, the offer given was the full refund as a resolution to settle the situation. This chest freezer was a life saver! My boyfriend and I kept overstuffing our fridge and kept having to call maintenance to fix our frosted over freezer. We decided it was time to get a chest freezer since we like to buy our meat wholesale and this thing has done an excellent job at keeping up pounds upon pounds of seafood, pork belly, steaks, shortribs, etc(literally if you can think of it, we probably have it 😝). I ended up covering it with wallpaper stickers so it could match our countertops and cabinets.One thing that really did bug us (no fault of the seller possibly) was that we requested it to be delivered to our door and instead they left it in the locker rooms. It was too big to fit in my Honda Civic so we had to go out and rent a dolley from Home Depot to bring it up to our apartment. The box was too wide for either of us to carry(and I’m just hopelessly weak). I’m sure the delivery people are equipped to bring these kinds of packages up.. 🙄)And when we finally opened it, there was a big dent on the side of the vent! And it had caught on the wire so we had to yank it out to plug it into the wall. 🙁 we covered it with tape because we already went through so much effort to bring it up and wasn’t about to repackage it and send it back.Besides the little flaw and unfortunate happenings, this thing really comes through at holding a ton of food!

Like some others, there are things I could complain about. I’ll actually share: there’s no doubt shipping is an issue. It seems like most people receive a banged-up freezer. Mine was no different. The hinges were bent so far that I couldn’t properly close the freezer. Also, the bottom-front-left corner was dented so much that it can be seen on the inside. So why 5 stars you ask? Well first, the freezer was packed in the box in reverse (front showed back, back showed front). It was obvious that the freezer was moved this way and likely caused the problems. When I contacted the seller, I sent them pictures (I always take pictures for any expensive items as they come out of a box), and they worked with me on fixing the hinge-issue. I’m also capable enough to strengthen and re-seal the lower left corner both inside and out. As for the freezer, when I look at what I got for the price, the great customer service, and the fact that I ordered during a time when it was still difficult to get a chest freezer…. I have to give 5 stars. In the end, the product/price is fantastic, and that’s what I appreciate most. Sort of a bang-for-your-buck view.

GREAT Little Freezer
We had an overflow problem with our kitchen refrigerator/freezer and we need more space for frozen food. Any type of freezer is hard to find, but this one became available. Reading some reviews on other freezers of similar size found many shipping problems and questionable operation of those products. This freezer seemed to be arriving in good condition and to be a good value. It shipped from California (made in China) and as we tracked the transportation progress seemed to take a tour of the USA getting here to Michigan. It arrived on our porch in fantastic condition (FedEx) as not even the shipping box had any damage. The packing as very well done. I followed the unpacking instructions, cleaned as instructed, and plugged it into a 120v outlet. It was cooling in just a few minutes. I ordered some additional plastic trays from Bino as I could not find economical wire baskets (it did come with one basket). The freezer has been work now for about 3 months. VERY quiet. It can be heard, but mostly the green and red lights let you know it’s working. Super efficient and good looking unit. Estimated ANNUAL electrical cost is $23.
