Small speaker, big sound
I’ve been shopping for a reasonably priced portable speaker for a while. I bought this speaker in the gray multi color. This speaker was not only attractive and compact. The sound was amazing. No connecting issues. I connected it with my iPhone. The charge lasts a couple of hours.It also has a clip which allows you to hang speaker in many ways. It stands up as well. I would recommend this product.

High quality speaker!
I love this speaker! I have purchased these for gifts in the past. I bought my man (who is hard to shop for) the camo color, and my mom (who is not very tech savvy) the green one. They both loved receiving this speaker as a present and use it constantly. I recently purchased a green one myself to take kayaking, and I am thrilled that I did. The battery life is impressive, I use for weeks at a time in between charges (a few hours each). Great qualify, water resistance, compact, and can ‘clip’ pretty much anywhere. the price is great! I love this speaker and you will too!

Great compact and portable speaker!
If anyone is hesitant on purchasing this after going through reviews and seeing any negative comments. Please ignore then, for such a compact speaker I can tell you this thing is extremely loud, crisp, and feels high-quality in the hand. When you factor in that, it’s the size of an average hand, or possibly the palm of a hand, this thing is phenomenal. Portable, versatile, quick connectivity, and an all-around solid purchase.

Perfect shower or solo speaker
If you’re in an area with not too much extra noise, or if you’re blessed with good acoustics indoors, this will be fine on its own. Was a little quiet for enjoying in a hot tub where I was only about a foot away with other music over loudspeakers. Battery life is good, sound quality is good. Clip is very convenient and strong. Excited to find all the ways I’m able to use it!

The Best.
This is my 4th JBL Clip 4. I’ve got to say this thing is amazing. I bring it to work every single day and music makes the day so much better. I usually clip it to my belt loop since it hardly weighs anything. I did say this was the 4th one I bought. The first one I had a gave it to my friend and bought myself another one, and that one accidentally fell off my forklift and I ran it over. The third one lasted me just about a year, the clip part actually wore out and fell apart so I ended getting my 4th one which I just recieved today. The speaker is a great price. The sound quality is perfect to me. Overall great product!

Wonderful unit at the current $45 sale price
I do heavy carpentry and our gear gets real beat up. One of my coworkers uses this speaker clipped to the bags he wears all day, and it has survived severe abuse since he got it, without an issue. Overall they seem outragously durable, which is my biggest reason for buying it. As a bonus, the sound quality is really good when considering the form factor and low cost.

Easy connectivity and great for travel
Purchased this to bring on a trip to Bora Bora. Easy to pack and connect to my phone. It has great sound for the size. The clip feature surprised me in that it was quite useful to attach to my backpack or to fixtures in our hotel room allowing for good distribution of sound.

Quality sound warranty
I used to have one of this speakers but i lost it on the way, so i decided to get a new one. I love the camo style on JBL, it looks great!. Quality sound is very good, just keep in mind this is a small speaker, so don’t expect a deep bass.

Great sound
Sound quality is fantastic compared to a much older model we were using at the park while disc golfing. Solid unit, although I don’t know how long the little rubber stripes will hold up. The battery lasted a full day of playing various genres. Picked this up during the Black Friday weeklong deal, the price is such a steal for this little unit.

I Wish I had Gotten it Sooner
My JBL CLIP 4 Came in my Amazon order yesterday. I used it all night at work on one charge. It connected immediately with my iphone running the most current software ios 16.7. I can’t blast it like i would like at work but it worked fine on the lower volume. I blasted it while i was taking a shower and i have no complaints there either. It is bigger than i thought it would be. I bought one of those aftermarket silicone covers with a matching case to hold and protect my speaker from scratches and drops. I doubt i will hang it outside my backpack. I try to take exceptional care of my electronic devices but the clip looks sturdy enough for someone that wants to do that to transport. I got the red b/c it is my favorite color. The buttons on the speaker are kind of coral red. There are many colors to choose from. I’m pleased with my purchase. If i needed to give a speaker as a gift i would consider the JBL CLIP 4 very seriously.

Coolest dude at the beach
Okay, bought this bad boy because we spend a lot of time at the beach, and after losing an odd number of white AirPods to the sand gods, finally decided I needed something a wee bit safer (ok, cheaper too). This definitely did not disappoint. It clipped right onto our beach bag, and most importantly, stayed clipped to our beach bag. Hooking up Bluetooth was a breeze, and the sound quality was great. I mean, it didn’t bug the neighbors, but we definitely enjoyed some tunes while hiding our snacks from the seagulls. And the best part was I didn’t have to constantly keep taking my headphones out for every question my wife had for me. Win/win! Buy it, you’ll like it.

Great sound
I purchase another model not the clip and found that I was pressing the wrong buttons in the dark. The clip has noce big, raised buttons, with the on/off and bluetooth separate from the volume controls. I don’t use the clip that much, but it’s useful to attach to a branch so that it’s out of the way. You can’t beat the sound, and really that’s the most important aspect.

great sound and volume from a small speaker. the clip is sturdy, and i clip it onto a belt loop for work. not heavy at all. charge holds true to the 10-12 hour range. took off a star because you never know what percentage of battery you have left. when you get low it doesn’t beep to alert you, just has a blinking red light. seems like a design oversight. recharge time seems to be around three hours with the cable they provided.

A lot of sound for such a little thing!
I found out about JBL speakers from some roommates when I lived in Oakland, California. They had this large, portable device about the size of a small handheld drum. It BLASTED their tunes! Excellent sound quality! They’d take it with them as they’d walk around or play it as they worked. I asked them what kind of speaker it is (because it sounded so good and could get so loud for such a small speaker) and they said it was a JBL.I decided to try one out – but on a smaller scale. I looked and found this clip version. Perfect for clipping onto your backpack as you ride bike and for playing tunes- wherever you are and around the house. So clever!!! And such great sound for such a little thing!I got a call that my Grandmother had fallen and broken a hip in Minnesota, so I flew down there to help out as she healed up.At the time, I tried out your clip 3. It was the latest that was out. Magnificent!I’d take my 92 year old Grandmother out for walks in her wheelchair (as she healed up) and I’d let her pick out what music she wanted to jam to on the walk and she’d get so excited! I’d clip the clip 3 on my backpack as we walked along and she would sing along to the music she picked out and wave to all the neighbors as we went by. It was so much fun!!!!We Have your company to thank for that! (Thank you!) She healed up and is feeling good now. 😊😊😊I’d also bring the clip outside when I’d visit my Pup, Cats and pet chickens (who are family members) and I’d play music for the little ones in the yard as I did chores around the place. They loved it too! So did I!My pet Chickens really love Punk Rock Music and Mantras from India. ♥️♥️♥️Low and behold, the clip 4 came out.This time I got it in pink (the clip 3 was a beauuutiful teal color).Love it!!! It’s a tad bit smaller than the clip 3 and boy does it pack a punch!!! You can really blast the tunes with that little thing!!! A Significant Improvement
The vast majority of the reviews I read before buying this led me to believe that the sound quality was so similar to the Clip 3 that it wasn’t worth upgrading. My Clip 3 has been a great speaker—I’ll probably keep finding uses for it until it won’t hold a charge anymore, hopefully not anytime soon—but honestly…I really wanted to upgrade because it’s one of the last devices I own with a Micro USB connector for charging.Anyways, the Clip 4 has turned out to be a noticeably better speaker. Reading over JBL’s own writings about the Clip 3 and 4, it seems like version 4 incorporates a passive radiator (like their larger portable speakers), which explains the much improved bass and low-midrange clarity. It won’t fool anyone at high volumes, but for low volume playback in a quiet space—which is what I always used my Clip 3 for anyways—it does manage to sound a bit larger than its size suggests it should.My Clip 3 is a noisy speaker; with no audio playing, there’s always some low-level hissing that’s clearly audible if it’s close enough to the ear. It also seems to impart a barely perceptible crunchy distortion onto everything I play through it. The Clip 4, on the other hand, is dead silent when nothing is playing, and doesn’t have that gritty veil of distortion over the upper-mids and treble frequencies; possibly a side effect of the 3.5mm TRS input being removed.The titular clip on version 4 has a slightly wider opening, and the larger space inside the clip makes it easier to maneuver onto some things I couldn’t get the Clip 3’s carabiner over. At the narrowest point, the Clip 4’s opening measures about 5/8″ wide, only slightly larger than the Clip 3’s 9/16″ opening.Now for the downsides:The Clip 4’s power and pairing buttons are much easier to press (i.e., accidentally) than the recessed buttons on the side of the Clip 3. Not a huge issue if it’s sitting or hanging somewhere solid and stationary, but I could imagine that it might turn itself on/off or go into pairing mode if it’s swinging around on a backpack or something. I put mine into pairing mode by mistake twice while handling it to measure the carabiner opening.Of course, I have to mention the loss of the analog input. I admit that I rarely ever use(d) it on the Clip 3, but it was indispensable when I needed it in a pinch.The USB Type-C port does not have a dust cover; another omission from the Clip 3’s design. I never cared for it, but it’s worth mentioning if you use yours in dusty or wet environments. Maybe not a huge issue, since the Clip 4 carries an IP67 rating.Finally, the carabiner clip just doesn’t feel as sturdy. Version 4 appears to use some kind of plastic hinge, where the Clip 3’s was made of anodized aluminum like the rest of the hook. It may well hold up for years just like the previous version, but only time will tell.Overall, The Clip 4 is a respectable step-up in sound quality, with a few odd design changes from version 3 that may or may not make it less reliable, depending on how you intend to use it. For my use case—quietly listening to music and podcasts in bed, or during power outages when I can’t use my hi-fi—it fits the bill perfectly so far.Oh, and one last thing: this “Grey” color scheme is properly weird. The aluminum parts are a kind of golden orange, the plastic clip and button accents are what I can only describe as “puce,” and the JBL logo is some kind of desaturated teal color. It looks so strange that it’s almost bad, but I love it.
