Quality speaker connection at a reasonable price…one catch
The catch: Make sure you’ve done this before (at least with basic screw cap banana plugs). These are snug fit (even for lower gauge wire) – so it can cause some frustration for first time audio gear heads who normally just buy the wires plugged. You can really great value – quality wire and then these heat shrink connectors and you won’t be able to tell the difference between bought and DIY. Just be sure to have crimper/stripper/cutter combo on hand (I have one made by Klein, but monoprice has one almost exactly like it for half the price right now – its on sale) and its smooth sailing.Also goes without saying, but make sure you bought the right number of banana plugs for your receiver / speaker configuration. The 4×4 here (8-count) is good for stereo connection. If you are looking for 5.1, you’ll want 20 – 7.1, 28. You get the idea. Amazon Basics sells plugs, but these are much higher quality in wire fit as well as receiver / speaker fit.

Two screws is more better than one screw..
Didn’t like the lack of instructions. But I overcame the issue. Why is so difficult to remove the red and black wire covers? Geeeezze !!!!!!!!! Never again trying something different next time. AARRRGH!!!!

Enough for 2 speakers
One speaker side needs 4 plugs, so there’s enough for one pair of speakers. You push the end of the clip to get the plastic shroud to separate. The plug itself has two screws to hold the wire (14 ga easily, 12 ga is getting tight). There is heat shrink tubing included. Push the plastic cover back on. Pretty basic kit but works well.
