High-quality smart TV
This TV is from a well-known brand Hisense. The color is bright and clear. I mount it on my versatile TV rack, and it fits perfectly in my family room. The built-in smart feature is very helpful. The YouTube short cut is especially helpful to have. (better than my previous SumSung one)

It is not like old models
I used to have an older model and it was amazing, that’s why I decided to buy this one, but this is a little bit different in a bad way, over all it is a good tv but my expectations were high coming from the old model.

Bad Purchase
I had high hopes for this TV and reading the reviews… the good outweighed the bad. I took a chance and purchased the 55 inch. For the past 5 days I have spent hours trying to get the correct settings to have it in the right colors, contrast, brightness and volume. When I think I have it perfect, it all goes wrong again on it’s own once I decide to watch any streaming service. I literally have to go in again and do each streaming app seperately to try and get the settings correct. Once I do one streaming app. I move to next one to do the same only to find it messes up the previous settings. The volume changes from one channel to the other. It does not stay consistant. I feel like the remote has to stay glued to my hand any time I want to watch anything. Watching sports on this is a nightmare!! the sound keeps going up and down on it’s own. the colors are blinding no matter how much time I spent trying to correct them. I’m spending so much time trying to get the settings correct then watching any program. I don’t recommend this TV unless you want to be frustrated and spend more time trying to fix the settings then watching any programing. I can’t say one way or another about using it for gaming as I did not use it for such a thing.

Hisense is my new favorite brand of TV!
The media could not be loaded.
I bought a Hisense TV for my garage, as you can see it hanging on the wall. (I watch TV while I’m detailing my bike or working on other projects.) I liked it so much that when it came time to replace the TV in the living room, I went with Hisense again. I was not disappointed! The Hisense new ‘Quantum ULED’ has a picture that is better than any other TV at this price point. (I did a lot of research.) The blacks are REALLY black. (I like this for the perceived depth of field.) The colors are super vivid and there are no breaks in gradient, like other TV’s in this class. (There are no ‘bands’ in contrast from light to dark.) The images are crisp and clearly defined. I watch a lot of 4K streaming and the visual experience with this TV is fantastic. It’s internet ready and I had no problems connecting it to my home network. It works very well with Alexa. I also like that I have one button access to Prime Video and Netflix. My wife and I like movies and not having to deal with multiple remotes for that is very nice. The voice command feature is convenient and is a lot easier than scrolling through multiple commands using buttons. It has all the wiring connections you could want, to hook it up to your home theater system. I used them all and the sound is fantastic. There is no way that the video I attached to this review can show you how great the quality of this Hisense TV is. But, I hope you get the idea. It’s really, really great. I’m happy with this purchase.

A marked improvement over the U6g. And an excellent value. But….
First but: I’m not a gamer and cannot address those issues. Second but: This is a U6h model. I am replacing a 50″ U6g that I purchased a little over a year ago. And here’s the rub: I really liked that model too. It came with 100 day trial period and a one year warranty. Almost to the day–I kid you not–the warranty was up things started to go wrong. First apps started malfunctioning. I got a firmware update from the company, and that worked for a couple of months. Then more things started going wrong. It wouldn’t stay connected to the internet. It kept disconnecting blu tooth devices. Coincidence? Maybe. Now this model has a two year warranty and I figure in a couple years I’m probably going to be replacing it. Am I crazy? Well, its called a smart tv because it has a computer in it. I bought one of the expensive ones (Samsung) in 2017 and had to replace it in 2021. What was wrong? Not materials and workmanship. Like any computer it simply reached a point where it didn’t have the space or processing power to handle the (continually) updated software. So this is how I see it. I can spend $350-$400 every two years or I can spend $800-$1000 every four or five years. As they used to say, “Its six of one , half a dozen of another.”.

3 factory resets in 5 mos poor customer service
Update: TV goes on constant reboot cycle and if a video plays at all there is no audio. This being the third time the TV has crashed in 5 mos I contacted customer service. The only reply from them was do a factory reset and call them back if there ate issues. Apparently that means that every couple of months you will need to reset the TV and spend hours reloading aps. So will give this piece of excrement away and buy a real TV. Don’t waste your money on this one. The OS isn’t up to the task. The picture quality on this TV is amazing. I’m replacing a TCL 5 series 55″ from 2018 and there is no comparison. The Hisense 75″ blows the TCL away from a picture standpoint. I will say that the ROKU browser on the TCL is more intuitive than the Google TV on the Hisesnse, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.The 75″ appears to have an IPS panel so the picture doesn’t degrade at an angle, but unlike most IPS panels I’ve seen this TV is capable of nice deep rich blacks with minimal blooming. I’m honestly blown away by the picture quality at such a low cost. The fact that this TV has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, EARC and local dimming at $799 is amazing. The sound quality from the set itself is okay but not great. It gets sufficiently loud but sounds a little hollow. I connected it to my Atmos capable sound bar and the EARC allows for complete passthrough of uncompressed Dolby Atmos and DTS and of course you can control the volume of the soundbar with the TV remote. The remote, once paired to the bluetooth allows you to control the TV without having to point the remote at the TV.The build quality seems to be fine if nothing special. Now for the small issues that to me aren’t a deal breaker but are definitely a nuisance.1. Out of the box the remote will not pair. To fix this do the firmware upgrade.2. The remote Now app will not pair with the TV. This is a must to use with Alexa. I have not found a work around for this. I could see this being a deal breaker for some but I’m more concerned with picture Quality.Bottom Line: For $799 I would say this is a no brainer despite a few small issues.I’ve only had the TV for a few days so I’ll try to update this if anything changes.Update: After less than a month of use I’ve had to take the set back to factory start up 3 times for various issues and am about to do it a 4th time.1st major issue the TV for no reason stopped communicating with the sound bar so no sound.’2nd major issue is that the guide has never worked for live TV.3rd major issue and this is the worst of all. The TV comes on loads up and once you select a program to watch it goes into a reboot loop. The only way I’ve found to fix this is by doing a full factory restart. Having to factory rest a new product 4 times in less than a month is simply unacceptable.Update: 70 days in and Google tv has stabilized and is working somewhat better. I still like Roku better. The program guide on antenna TV is still not working.

Good Tv for the value price
When I first got this tv my expectations were not very high ., this tv was purchased for my bedroom. In my living room and basement I have oleds from Lg and Sony. I automatically knew at the price point this tv wasn’t going to be that good, but for the value you get 4k, hdr10, Dolby vision and quantum dot. So my thought was how bad can it be? After the initial setup…I didn’t like it, with the default picture the colors looked washed out and faded. I went online and found calibration settings settings for the tv. After inputting the settings the tv really woke up. The colors now pop and the black levels are good. Not as good as the oleds but are way better than before. Once this tv is calibrated it’s a excellent value for the money.

The tale of 2 tv’s
Update as of 12/1- After weeks, Hisense decided to just give me a refund on the 2nd defective tv. They sent a check that took 3 weeks to arrive. They refused to provide any type of assitance with removing 2 broken 75″ tv’s from my house. I had to pay $70 for a company to come pick them up to recycle them. Absolutely ridiculous. Also that promotion was complete crap. I didn’t get the $100 for my tv that actually works either. Definitely going to go with a LG, Sony or Samsung for whatever I buy now. I had high hopes for this emerging brand but their support and quality control is just awful and not worth the price savings to offset the added risk.I’ve purchased 2 of these in the 75 inch size. 1 tv has been great. Love the Google TV interface, very easy to setup and sign into my streaming apps. Oddly Youtube TV is buried in the apps section and you have go to all apps and then hold the OK button down to reorder things so that the apps you want show up on the google tv main page. Picture is great for the price, especially since I am coming from an older LG Plasma that isn’t 4k.The second tv though… yikes. Screen was dead on arrival. Hisense sent out a tech after some excruciating support calls, but it took 1.5 weeks to get someone out here. Tech basically was like yeah they are going to have to replace it, so he took all the tv internals out of it and put a huge X through the panel and then left. It then took 3 weeks for another new tv to be shipped to me. This was supposed to white glove setup service so they could verify that it worked fine. Instead the delivery team (3rd party company) dropped it off and said all they could do was bring it right inside my door, even though the outside of the box said room of choice delivery, unpack, assemble base, power on and check. Called Hisense immediately and support told me to just check it myself. This is a 75 inch tv and was crazy to ask me to just do that myself. In any case, I did and when I plugged it in the wall it was immediately clear that the panel had damage. Called support back again and they basically said they need to escalate my case. So now I have 2 broken 75 inch tvs taking up space in my house and have no idea what I am supposed to do with them. Hoping that they actually get me another tv before my 100 day guarantee runs out HA, and take away the two broken tv’s since you can’t just put them out at the curb or fit it my car. Absolute nightmare trying to get a working tv and the support is awful to deal with. No updates ever, I just keep needing to call back in to see if someone can check on my case.So if you buy one, just hope it works out of the box, if not be ready for a poor support experience.

Great tv works awesome
My previous experience with Hisense TVs was so great that I had to get another for my master bedroom. It offers fantastic performance, great value, and is a top choice for any room. Stunning visuals, immersive sound, gaming features, and user-friendly design make it a standout. I’m excited about my purchase and look forward to a similar experience in my master bedroom. It’s a budget-friendly choice without compromising quality, a wise investment for those seeking a TV that goes above and beyond.

Great TV for the price
The media could not be loaded.
I bought the U6H 75 inch TV in late September, 2022. I am writing this review about 3 weeks later. I am very pleased with the purchase overall. I use the TV to watch movies, sports and TV shows. I am not a gamer, and I am not a TV tech expert. I bought the Hisense S214 soundbar to go with the TV, and I bought a ethernet to USB port adapter to use a wired port from my router to maximize speed. I plug it into the USD port and get about 300 megabits per second speed (the TV has USB 2.0 ports). I watch the TV with Theater Night mode with Motion Smoothing turned off.For 4k (HDR) movies, it looks outstanding. The first movie I tested with is Thor Love and Thunder. The movie has bright color scenes, dark scenes and black and white scenes, so I think the movie is a good test for the TV. I was very pleased with it.For sports – I played around with several modes, including Sports, Theater Day and Theater Night. My original plan was to have a Theater Day settings with motion smoothing for sports, and everything else as Theater Night, but I decided it wasn’t worth the effort for me. I enjoyed watching sports on Theater Night mode without motion smoothing, so that is what I kept. 4k Sports are incredible (I have seen football and soccer on it). Regular sports – I think baseball looks best, followed by football.I had not used Google TV before – I am used to the Fire TV, but I found it easy to use. The setup on the TV is easy if you have the Google Home app. I have YouTube TV, and that goes very well with the Google TV.For sound, I use the HDMI ARC port to the Hisense soundbar. I use eARC and passthrough – it seems to sound better to me than the other options (Auto / PCM / Dolby Digital /Dolby Digital Plus). I don’t have a Dolby Atmos soundbar so I can’t comment on the Dolby Atmos feed from the TV. The CEC works well with the soundbar as I can turn the soundbar and TV on and off and change the volume with the TV remote.Overall, this TV is a great value, especially when I got it on a discount and during their $100 gift card promotion.

Hisense TV is a Chinese brand. I have used their TVs when I was in China. The display effect is very good. Watching movies and playing PS5 are very good. The U6 I bought this time is still as good as ever. I like it.

I waited 90 days to make my review.
The tv is not perfect. But for the money you spend, you get a whole lot of value. Things I like: the edge to edge QLED panel, plays nicely with Apple TV/Dolby digital content, 4 hdmi inputs (or 3 if you use ARC for soundbar or sound system like I do) the tv can get as bright as you want it to be. If you think it’s too bright at first, go into settings and turn down the BACKLIGHT level not contrast or brightness. Things I don’t like: the TVs native sound output, honestly my 2010 Toshiba 32” that was high end at the time makes better sound. But for the picture you get, it’s worth buying a soundbar with the money you save by buying this tv and not another QLED tv instead. One thing I like and don’t like all at once is the google tv interface. Most people won’t have this gripe, but I refuse to use the google home launcher. I have gone out of my way to disable this app, and install a better launcher. It upsets me how google tries to dictate how to use a tv that I bought. When the google home app is disabled , the power led light will blink non stop when the screen is on. Regardless if I turn off that light in the settings or not. I put a tiny piece of black adhesive over it and it’s a shame that I have to do that to enjoy the tv how I see fit. Again folks, this is not a problem for most people they will love the google tv app. One thing that I have noticed as well is although there are two usb ports in back, only one of them works on my set. Not a huge deal because I just plugged in a usb hub in back. It allows me to add things like keyboard, mouse, usb thumb drive for app storage, or a game controller to play android games. I feel this is not something even raising a dispute over but still kind of annoying. That being said, this is still 5 stars for me and still the best tv I ever owned

Solid
This TV was quite a good find. It was relatively easy to install, and the speakers are also impressively good considering they are built-in. The video quality is absolutely stunning; smooth and clear, traits that you won’t find in your average TV. Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality TV.

Picture great, internal processor terrible
UPDATE Sept 2023I did keep the TV and the picture is excellent especially with 4K UHD movies. Looks great with the new AppleTV hooked up and with the new FireTV Cube. As far as the built-in Google interface, don’t bother. As I said originally, the Google interface is simply way too slow and apps are way too slow. After almost a year I decided it best to just go with a FireTV TV-set with the FireTV actually built-in. Ditching the external devices like AppleTV box and the FireTV Cube box. I figured if I want the FireTV experience then just buy a FireTV TV, which I did.Updating my older 2020 Hisense 75″ R7E Series TV to this newer 2022 Hisense ULED 75U6H. I expected and hoped for so much more with the 2022. True, the picture of this 2022 75U6H model is better than the 2020 R7E series, but apparently Hisense has not bothered to updated the internal processor or so it appears the case. The problem with both Hisense TV’s is the very slow poor lagging performance when running apps like SlingTV, Hulu, Disney and basically all apps. Apps simply do not function properly because the processor does not have the processing power needed. app load time is slow and lagging, app TV guides are slow, it takes too long for a program to begin playing when selected, and you do see that spinning busy circle spinning and spinning for way too much and for way too long. I suppose all of the performance problems with both Hisense TV’s is because they are low-end entry level TV’s. And moving from the R7E Roku interface to the 75U6H Google interface is not much of an improvement. So like with my first R7E 75″, I will need to use some other device hooked to the TV as the processing unit i.e. a Fire TV stick or Fire TV cube. Then, you let the attached device do the hard work with bypassing the painfully slow internal Hisense processor. I used the Fire TV Cube on my old Hisense and I guess I will be forced to use the Fire TV Cube with this new Hisense as well if I want the TV to be responsive. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for, which definitely applies to both low-end Hisense 75″ tv’s. I will give it more time before deciding whether or not to keep this new 2022 updated Hisense. I really hoped for much more, however like i said the picture itself is very good. Nice picture, however a very very slow slow TV.

Nice TV
I purchased this smart TV and am very happy with the purchase. The TV itself is light-weight and easy to set up. I placed the TV in my bedroom and have been enjoying watching it so far. The colors of the TV are bright and sharp, and the sound system is good. I can’t be more happier with the purchase.

Fantastic T.V.
I’m glad I spent a bit extra to purchase this TV over the Amazon Fire TV. I had read several complaints about the laggy UI with the Amazon TV, and as I was already experiencing this same issue my current Samsung TV, I didn’t want to go through this again. So far everything about this TV is miles about my old Samsung TV. Picture, UI, Responsiveness, Sound… just about every feature is much better. Very pleased with my purchase.

Terrible if you want to use it to watch broadcast TV. Decent otherwise.
This is a replacing an expensive 10-year old Samsung TV that was just starting to fail. I thought a cheaper option would be just as good as a 10-year old TV….I was wrong. The Google TV software is awful. If you can, go for LG or Samsung software. In particular, the Tuner App is lacking features that my 10-year old Samsung had, and I don’t expect it’ll ever be updated. Streaming software works fine, but it’s just as slow as the 10-year old Samsung. I had hoped Moore’s Law would mean that the interface would be far snappier, even for a budget option. The viewing angles are worse than the 10-year old Samsung.I can live with all of the above. The real problem is the picture quality when viewing older TV programs. If you watch older TV shows broadcast over the air, this TV is a terrible choice. No amount of futzing with the various settings will help much. Settings that make the older shows look somewhat better will make the other TV programs look worse.I suspect the problem isn’t with the TV’s hardware, which produces a good enough picture when viewing streaming TV, such as Youtube or Netflix. It’s a software problem with the crap-tier Tuner App.If you watch broadcast TV, I go so far as to say do not purchase any TV with Google software.

Smart voice control is so cool
I bought this brand for the first time at Christmas on a 65′ TV at Best Buy and it seemed very good so I wanted to try it again but with a newer range for my 7 year old son who is always sharing with his 5-year-old little brother… to my surprise I liked it more than I expected, my two children love it and honestly I would like this one for myself, if it wasn’t that I chose it smaller than 55 Inch I would have already changed it hahaha. The image quality is great, good sound, fast movement from one command to another and what we fell in love with this is the voice command that makes everything easier for all of us, especially my children who still struggle because they can’t search by themselves. writing… it is a comfort not to depend on the control and only with your voice to be able to search for anything on the tv that is definitely worth it and I would consider it for my next purchases.

Good picture quality but network issues
This is my second hisense TV. Have been a fan of this brand due to the picture quality you get in the price range. However I am bit frustrated this time as my TV keeps getting disconnected to Wi-Fi. All thumbnails takes long time to load. Just know my other TV and all other devices just works fine while this is happening. So I am pretty sure the issue is with the TV. If you can spare a bit more, i would recommend to avoid this one.

Updates Limited
The first purchase did not come through at a lower $548 price, so beware when it goes down to $498 that you confirm it is sold and shipped by Amazon. I had to wait a little and request a refund as it still notes after 5 months that it is delayed and I believe it will be so forever onward. Once the refund was confirmed, I was able to purchase this again but at the more usual price at $598 with Amazon selling and shipping it.———-• I looked over many TVs on the RTINGS site that rates, reviews, and tests a lot of products in-depth including TVs. At our price point, and this one overcame most others with so many features for this price.• eARC support was included with great branded sound support so I was looking forward to adding better speakers later.• The image quality is amazing.• The sound works well for my hearing experience with all the features it will support with a future speaker setup.———-• HiSense’s motion ratings are 4x what it truly is, so 240 Hz motion rate means a 60 Hz panel.• One thing that came up as a compromise is the viewing angle since it is not an IPS panel but a VA panel at the 65 inch size. VA however brings much better contrast and information in dark areas.• Another shortcoming I find is that it is not yet updated to a higher version of Google TV. You may get a initial firmware update or 2, but I was hoping I would get the latest Google TV software which could add picture-in-picture, but it seems they have stopped at Google TV 11 versus selling next year’s TV.• I hope they update it to Google TV 13, but I am lacking trust that they will ever update the TV short of a few fixes if people complained enough. Maybe you can help write to them and request such an update at their support site.

Works great
Here’s the scoop on my latest living room update – a 55″ ULED Mini-LED Google Smart TV. Guess what? It’s now the star of my living room, proudly mounted on the wall. The size? Absolutely spot-on for the space. The moment I fired it up, I was greeted with this crystal-clear picture quality that made my old TV look like a relic. And the colors, oh my, they’re just so vivid and lively.I’m the kind of person who loves a bit of tech in the house, and this TV fits right in. It’s not just about binge-watching my favorite shows (which, by the way, look fantastic on this screen), but it’s also about those little moments. Like, sometimes when we’re not watching TV, we play these dynamic landscape videos. It’s like having a window to the most tranquil places on earth, right there in my living room. It’s super relaxing and kind of makes me forget the hustle of the day. While I’m pretty happy with my purchase, there are a couple of things that could be better. But hey, that’s a story for another day. For now, this TV is doing a pretty good job of keeping me and my family entertained and, well, visually mesmerized.

Amazing performance!
I have been using my tv for quite long and I decided to try out an upgrade. My old tv had so many different cords needed to actually work and the controls got annoying sometimes. I had to desperate a separate pc to be able to stream YouTube and connect my Nintendo. Once setting up this tv however, I was already extremely impressed! It’s thickness included a durability but isn’t too heavy. It was a bit smaller than the last one, but the tv is much more convenient now. It didn’t include so many cords that was needed to set up, and the best part, no pc at all! My family is able to stream movies, YouTube, and many other channels! The screen is smooth and there were no cracks when shipped. The quality is great, and all movies or videos play out wonderfully. The remote is easy to control and has easy access apps such as YouTube and Netflix. This tv has definitely even an upgrade for me. It includes much convenience, better space saving, and excellent durability. This tv is excellent for living rooms, bedrooms, and even basements too! I’m very glad with this purchase! Highly recommend it.

It’s shockingly satisfied!
First, my husband really doesn’t agree with my decision to purchase this due to unknown brand however, I convince him why not to try first then if the product doesn’t meet our expectations, we still be able to return it.This smart tv , turn out looks stunning and the package is really carefully packaged so when we open it it doesn’t have any scratch or damage and when we put in our bedroom look so stunning. The installment is really simple we literally don’t find any difficulties and the quality of the pictures is really clear with the amount of money it’s really a bargain.I really recommend it this product without hesitation

Honest in depth Review for 65″
I didn’t see many helpful reviews when buying this, so here’s a long one:This tv is great, but there are a few drawbacks (all could be solved with a software update), I will go over the good stuff and then address my biggest complaints.-First off, STUNNING picture quality. This TV is absolutely beautiful. You likely will not regret buying it for this alone. The speakers are also actually pretty decent, impressive for built in TV speakers.-The ability for a Google TV to control with Alexa is also amazing, though that control may be limited. Being able to tell my Alexa to control the TV power and input is great, as I run my smart home off of the Alexa system and don’t have Google in any room.-GREAT for PC GAMING. If you’re looking for a TV that’s good for PC gaming without breaking the bank, this is probably it. They don’t advertise it, but this TV is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD freesync, resulting in high performance low latency gaming.Onto the downsides:-setting up Alexa is a pain: Alexa setup for the TV is hidden within the TV advanced settings, and requires a bit fo finagling with account sign in when adding the Hisense skill to your Alexa.-Google assistant SUCKS on this TV. It will randomly activate itself if you’re talking around the TV. Many smart TVs solve this by allowing you to turn off “hey Google detection” without turning off Google assistant completely. However, on this TV, that is not the case. You must completely disable Google assistant on the TV if you wish to make it stop interrupting your entertainment. Talk about a bummer! I really enjoyed being able to use Google assistant on this TV, but would much prefer to ONLY activate it via the remote button, which is not an option.-after 2 weeks of use, I’ve also found the TV UI to be quite slow and buggy at times. I’ve had to manually unplug the TV twice to reset bugs and freezes already, so that’s a little frustrating but it’s tolerable.-The final, largest complaint, turning off motion smoothing/content altering picture settings:Many don’t know this, but new smart TV’s these days often come with a ton of settings turned on by default that alters the way the content was intended to be viewed. Video settings such as motion smoothing, noise reduction, ect…these all artificially alter the way content was intended to be viewed by the directors and editors of the movies & shows you watch. Leading to a different viewer experience from the intended. I found these settings to be buried within 2 different menus, it took about an hour to find all of these settings and turn them off for all content on the TV, which was incredibly frustrating.FYI to help you out, the DOLBY VISION mode will automatically turn on all of these settings, you must edit the DOLBY VISION settings manually, on top of turning these off in the default picture settings menu. Otherwise, motion smoothing and such will be turned back on any time you watch Dolby vision supported content. All in all, I think it’s a great TV and could be perfect with a few software updates from Hisense. I hope they do!

So glad I tried this 55″ Smart Google TV!
I wasn’t sure how I’d like this Google TV, as I’ve generally leaned toward Amazon’s Alexa. I was intrigued by the features and price, so decided try it. All I can say is WOW. Packaging was great – opened it up, and legs are right in the Styrofoam top padding, so you can’t miss them! Got help pulling it out of the box. Couple screws to attach the legs, and it was ready to set up! Will eventually mount on the wall, but wanted to make sure I liked it better than the Vizio I’m replacing. Based on what I’ve seen the last few days, it’ll get mounted this week! I wasn’t sure what to expect for a “Google Smart TV”. I was absolutely surprised how easy this was to set up. After powering it up, it walks you through step by step. You connect it to your Google Home app (which I had to install). It allows you to update settings on TV using your phone, or even use it as a remote. Nice features and handy to have! It took longer to get set up compared to a Roku or Amazon device, but overall was smoother and more “complete”. The other apps have you up and running quicker, but then you need to go into settings and add the apps. There’s still some of that with this, but it covers the major subscription apps in bulk, so overall it saves time over the other systems. Like many other SmartTV’s, logging into services can be done via phone or password. What really impressed me was the Google TV features. I enabled Google access to the TV itself as prompted during the setup and trained it, speaking various sentences as prompted. Now I can say “Hey Google, power on”, and the TV powers on. Other commands work as well = “Open Netflix”, or “Play Survivor on Paramount”. Of course volume control works too! I really like that this is built into the TV – no need to use the remote or hold buttons. I did find this seems to go to sleep, but I’m sure it’s a setting to keep it active at all times. As for TV itself, I love it! Colors are vivid, bright, and clear. There are plenty of HDMI ports, and they’re clearly labeled. Setup features for the TV itself are very easy to navigate. Loved the default picture, though in a darkened room was just a tad too bright. Adjusting the picture is crazy simple – between the included ‘modes’, and the custom controls that can be applied to each, you can easily adjust for any lighting condition. I’m impressed with the QLED display!Sound quality also impressed me for this price point model. I’ve had to get sound bars for other TV’s due to ‘tinny’ sound, but this has clear sound, and it’s more than adequate for our room.Overall, I’m really pleased with this 55″ Smart TV! Easy setup, fantastic picture, great features and sound, and all at a great price. I can highly recommend!

A $400 (or less) Master Piece
Honestly for this price range, it’s just about impossible to find something this good.TO BE CLEAR IT IS NOT PERFECT. The U7 and U8 have better picture quality, better blacks, and better clarity overall. The Google TV setup is amazing even for iphone users. The Mini-LED + ULED makes that look incredible. Watching Blade Runner 2049, Dune, and even casual shows like American Dad, etc all look great. The options to tweak the picture is good enough for MOST users. It’s not BLAZING FAST but it’s not slow either. I have not run into any issues thus far over a few days of constant use.For sub $400 it’s unbeatable

Love my new 65in TV, but
First off, I love my new tv! Tons of research looking at what you need to make you happy, and then making sure the reviews are great will virtually eliminate electronics buyer’s remorse. This solved every solution I was looking for to streamline and upgrade my home theater. The picture is phenomenal. The Google interface allowed me to get rid of all those clunky fire sticks. The eARC connection is spot on, delivering great sound to my AV receiver. Plenty of inputs for all my stuff. It can pass Atmos, and is well equipped for the future. There really is nothing negative I have found when it comes to the performance of this tv, other than I haven’t been able to figure out how to display the resolution on content I’m watching. No physical manual and the online one makes no mention of it. My previous tvs had a display button on the remote, but remotes these days aren’t as comprehensive as those. Maybe someone has the answer??? :)Now, to the but. I bought this tv a week ago, and a few days after I set it up, the price dropped $100!! I wish Amazon had some kind of price protection to give buyers of higher ticket items a gift card to offset that. I’m happy with my tv at the price I paid, but dang. That’s $100!Anyway, if you’re looking for a pretty state of the art tv, at a VERY reasonable price (a steal now!), then I can’t imagine any manufacturer matching this caliber of TV in January 23.

Great TV for the Price
I am extremely satisfied and happy with this TV so far. Personally, think that its one of the best TVs for the price range.1. Modern TVs have built in OS- this one is Google TV, which I like. The controller has a google assist button which is useful, but to be completely honest, I find myself using my apple TV most of the time (apple has been locked up in their “walled garden” lol). Nevertheless, have been impressed with Google TV: the apps that I use were in the app store, easy to use, responsive.2. Picture quality- was expecting to picture quality to be lacking, but so far, picture quality has been superb. I use my TV to watch movies and shows, I don’t have a video game system connected to the TV so I can’t comment on how the picture looks while playing video games.3. Sound quality- the previous television I owned, had poor sound quality, to the point I almost bought a sound bar. This TV- the sound quality has been superb. I have a small living room, but regardless of where I am in the living room, I could hear the sounds perfectly (sound is loud and rich).4. Remote control- simple to use, not many bells and whistles. I primarily use my phone to control my TV, which is an option with this TV.5. Packing- a saw a review that complained about the packing, I was worried too, but the TV arrived with no damage. The box I received was well padded and in great shape by the time I received it. It was delivered by a Prime truck, not sure if that makes a difference. In summary- great TV for the price, awesome picture quality, great sound, ok remote control.

Terrible Sound, Worst Quality.
My two year old Samsung TV suddenly wouldn’t turn on so I started looking for a cheaper alternative. This Hisense TV looked perfect on paper. Turns out the sound is awful so I was forced to purchase a soundbar. I’ve owned two Samsung TVs and neither lasted 3 years ☹️. My last one broke just one month after the warranty expired. Now, this Hisense seemed like the perfect TV with “ULED” and all. As you can see in the picture, color bleeds around the text on the screen so it’s not all black as it’s supposed to be. As for picture quality, every time I turn on the TV I have to calibrate the settings because the color is never right. I think this TV is better suited for older people or kids who don’t know about picture quality or feel the need to change it for their preference. Apart from them, I would not recommend.

horrible customer service rep – she didn’t want my business & basically said so
55″ u6h. We were looking so forward to this new tv to replace our 10+ year old Sanyo. Rtings.com listed it as the best for our budget. A few reviews said even when they got a bad one, Hisense replaced & the new one was fine. We didn’t have any such luck. The Google asst would randomly pop up taking up a portion of the screen while cutting off the sound. But the biggest problems were the picture. It would be fine, then just get extremely bright. Go check brightness & it would be at 100% & unable to adjust down. Picture would also randomly get kinda fuzzy around the edges. This would happen at any time in middle of a show lasting anywhere from a few minutes to hours. The fuzziness would go back to normal after some time but the only fix for the brightness was to do a complete reset. Called customer service for help & they had to call back following day. They called next day 20 minutes before I could get home from dr appt. They left a number to call them back but it was the same system to get someone to call me back. I got some woman who told she could help so told her the issues. Her solution was to turn the Google asst off (a physical toggle switch) making that function unusable and turn it on when wanting to use. That wasn’t that big a deal as hadn’t started using anyway but if advertised as something to make life easier then it should work without having to get up and go turn back on by a physical switch that has to be toggled on/off. I could have lived with that but her solution for the bad picture was just to reset the TV. I told her I had to do that at least once a week and sometimes more. I told her that wasn’t a practical solution and I still had time to return. She could care less and said to do whatever. What a horrible representative of a company.5 stars to Amazon for giving ample time to test and making returning super easy on my part. Just reboxed and a UPS guy picked up at my house the next day. I had kept the box and packing supplies making return that much easier. Thank you Amazon.

Great color quality and overall build
I’ve been using the tv for a while now, and, it’s been a decent addition to my entertainment setup. The picture quality stands out with vivid colors and crisp details that make watching movies enjoyable. Setting up the TV was hassle-free, and I appreciate the convenience of having streaming apps built right in. While the sound quality is pretty good, I do find myself occasionally connecting external speakers for a more immersive audio experience. The sleek and modern design blends well with my room décor. All in all, it’s a solid TV that lives up to its promises, particularly when it comes to color quality.

Fine at first, customer service nightmare
For about a month, TV was fine… picture and sound quality pretty good, especially for the price.Unfortunately about a month after delivery and mounting, the screen suddenly showed the lines running up through the screen and splotches in lower left corner. Amazon can’t/ won’t do anything (past 30 day window), Asurion coverage I paid for won’t do anything since it’s still under manufacturer’s warranty timeline, which has left me dealing with Hisense directly (or trying to atleast). I have spent the last 2-3 weeks emailing and speaking to representatives from Hisense with EXTREMELY slow (multi-day) response times. I have now had to send the same pictures and descriptions of issues, receipts and product ID numbers to three different levels of support and they all just keep passing it along to a higher level of support, just to start it all over again. Still no support or help and am stuck in limbo…Update: local tech was finally able to schedule and come out, within 5 minutes said it’s irreparable and then proceeded to remove a few crucial internal components (to take with him) and deliberately deeply scratched the screen with a key, as this is what he is required to do according to Hisense, presumably so they don’t send a new one while I still have a somewhat working one. He did NOT take what was left of the TV to throw away, just the 3 crucial components as he is required to send those back to Hisense. The tech told me to expect Hisense to take 2-3 weeks at best to get ahold of me regarding compensation. So, now we’re out a TV for multiple weeks until Hisense gets ahold of me AND I am stuck paying to have the TV thrown away?Amateur/ garbage company, top to bottom, run away.

Google OS is embarrassingly slow/awful stuttering picture
I bought this because the operating system looked promising. An integrated live guide for Directv Stream, Sling and others. A section for shows and movies you’re watching along with all your purchased movies from Google Play Store and Movies Everywhere. It all sounds good until you power up the tv. From the very beginning the menu was laggy and completely unresponsive at times. It shouldn’t take 5 seconds for menus to change after you press a button. It didn’t happen every time but enough to where I began to doubt my purchase before I ever started watching anything. And then I did start watching something and the stuttering picture, judder they call it, was so bad some people may have a seizure trying to watch it. I changed the motion settings, turned off what they suggested I turn off but no matter what I did, or what app I was using, it was almost unwatchable at times. And any time you press a button on the remote while you’re watching something causes the screen to start freezing on whatever you’re watching. The sound is pretty awful as well, but that’s to be expected for standard audio , although in this day and age you’d think they could put some good speakers in a tv. For heavens sake, my AirPods have much better sound. Even sound half that good would be acceptable. Anyway, I ended up hooking up a fire stick 4k to it and everything looked great using that. So the issue is obviously the OS and not the settings or the internet like some like to blame. I settled on getting a Roku stream bar to use permanently and with that I have no issues. But don’t get this tv, just get a bloody Roku TV like I should have done to start with and be done with it. With a name like Google behind this tv they should be ashamed to put this on the market. The only reason I didn’t give it one star is because the picture looks pretty good using a different device to watch something.

Great television for a reasonable price
The television was very well packaged. The picture quality is really good for TV at this price point. Especially with the cinema setting applied. The speakers are good for what we are using it for in a family room, I am really happy with it. I was 50/50 on this new brand but i still give it a try and ending up like it.

Excellent picture quality for the price!
We have had the 75″ set for nearly a month and we are very happy with the picture quality and performance so far. This unit has an IPS panel vs. the VA panel that is reported on the smaller TVs of the same model. For us, that is not a problem as we rarely watch the set in complete darkness and the wider viewing angle works is a greater benefit. In complete darkness and with dark scenes, the back lighting is visible in the dark areas, but I really cannot say whether it is better or worse than a comparable VA unit – it’s much better than our previous 8-10 year old TV (JVC BC50R).Color reproduction is really great out of the box and we only did a minor amount of tweaking to our liking on top of the “Theater Day” mode. When not gaming, we have motion enhancement set to “Film” and it does enough to keep a natural look on anything we are watching. Motion enhancement turns off automatically if you have a video game console connected (PS4, Switch in our case), but it did not detect games started on our HTPC, and had to be turned off manually. To get the best color reproduction from your consoles, it’s best to enable HDR and Full Range color on the console, then set the TV’s “HDMI Dynamic Range” to “Auto” and “Color Space” to “Native”. Setting “Color Space” to “Auto” seems to sometimes pick the wrong setting and your TV’s color reproduction will be off from what the console is outputting.

good quality and work well
The U6 series truly exceeded my expectations! I had been searching for a TV that could deliver exceptional performance and value, and the U6 series absolutely didn’t disappoint. Its 4K ULED technology is truly impressive. The color, contrast, brightness, and dynamic performance have all been significantly improved, immersing me in the screen and providing a more lifelike viewing experience. I was also deeply impressed by the Mini-LED and full-array local dimming technology. The picture is brighter, and the light is evenly distributed, ensuring a consistent visual delight. The Quantum Dot QLED wide color gamut brings richer and more accurate colors, making the images vivid and lifelike. Game Mode Plus is fantastic, especially for gaming enthusiasts. It automatically adjusts settings, reduces latency, and eliminates screen jitter, making gaming incredibly smooth.

Don’t buy this TV or any TV from this company. Their customer service is horrible.
I received a TV damaged where something under the screen was causing something to die out and it started out as two tiny dots and was very slowly over time growing. Had to return it got to replacement same day. The return was picked up. The return was fine. The replacement even more damaged out of the box than the one I sent back. The whole right side of the top and bottom of the screen look like somebody under the layer of plastic that covers the front of the screen. The screen looks pushed in in the top right and bottom right corner called heisen customer service and they said not their problem. You voided your warranty by opening the box. I was extremely careful when I open this box. Extremely delicate with this TV and right after I opened it I saw the damage and went to plug it in to make sure that it wasn’t. My eyes just fooling me and I saw that it was damaged immediately called Amazon and they said they can’t do anything till the 9th of the following month which means I have to live with this TV for almost an entire month. Broken worse than the last one. That’s whatever if you don’t have something in stock that’s not really their fault. But then I called heisen to see if there was anything they could do and they told me voided warranty without even looking at the TV without even seeing what was wrong with it. Just me slightly describing it to her. She just immediately said voided warranty. I haven’t even had this TV an hour and the warranties already voided due to manufacturing errors because clearly this was not done during shipping because then the screen itself, the plastic part or the TV bezel would also be damaged. This is explicitly to the screen underneath everything. There’s no scratches on the TV. There’s no dense dings. Nothing. It looks pristine outside of this specific damage. Clearly this happened during manufacturing just like with the last one and she just keeps telling me voided warranty because it left their warehouse. Therefore it’s no longer their responsibility. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if there was nothing else that could be done because why should I have to accept a broken TV that doesn’t make sense and after over a half an hour of being on hold. No one’s available. Go away. Leave us alone. You’re warranty has been voided because you open the box and you install the TV yourself. The TV warranty has been voided literally. She told me because I hooked up the TV that voided the warranty. I am not joking. That’s what she told me. She told me because UPS delivered it to me that also voided the warranty. I am not joking. This is ridiculous. Don’t buy from a company’s that support that level of disgustingness towards their customers. This is the first time I’m trying this company and this has been the worst experience ever. Two TVs broken from manufacturing because right out the box they were broken in different ways and I was extremely extremely delicate, careful and used every bit of cushioning and foam that I could to gently put the TV together and both of them were broken and this one even worse and even better in the top right corner because of how the screen has been pushed in anything that that’s a specific shape that goes into that corner gets warped. How is this? Not a manufacturing issue that happened during manufacturing. These TVs come packed so well. You can’t say that happened during shipping, especially considering Amazon marked the replacement as handle with care. So unless people were tossing around a 65-in TV, which that does not make sense, this is absolutely a manufacturing problem and and the company that makes the product should want to know what went wrong. Shouldn’t just be like sucks to be you go away. You installed the TV. Someone else delivered it. That wasn’t us by the way. They don’t have a way to deliver from themselves. Everything has to go to something like UPS so they’re using every excuse in the book to claim. I voided the warranty. The TV is 1 hour old and it was damaged from the minute I pulled the box off of it.Edit… After getting the tech support from Hisense they told me that a TV coming damaged and have the screen under the plastic layer there for warping the image on the top right corner as well as making so the top right corner does not go to fill brightness and you can see a semi-circle of dim from top right corner to bottom right corner is cosmetic and voids warranty somehow? Great company further update, The warranty is voided. The minute the TV leaves the factory because according to heisen if anyone touches the TV that doesn’t work for heisen the TV’s automatically voided warranty if you set it up. Warranty is voided if it gets shipped to you and the person that brought it to you was not working for heisen the warranty is voided. It doesn’t matter how badly the TV’s damaged or if the right side does not go to full brightness. Apparently that equals cosmetic I don’t know how a TV not functioning as intended is cosmetic but according to them it is and according to them because they didn’t set it up and they didn’t deliver it to me that voids all warranty and yes, that’s what was told to me by their customer service supervisor and tech support

with this price, it’s the best option
this product is great for the price. I wished it was cheaper tho! haha. but let me tell you my experience about it. first of all the packaging was ok. it was easy to install. you need to screw two metal stands to the TV. the stands looks stable and firm. then you have to plug it in and that’s it. it was easy and anyone can do it. specially it is light weight and can be handled by one person. during the setup you have to connect to wifi. the wifi search and finding it was really fast and easy. and then few steps to connect your gmail account to the TV and finally if you have accounts on Netflix Hulu and other channels you will enter your creditionals and it will be finalized. these steps are also really easy and fast. now it’s time to go and see how is the screen quality. the screen is 4k and with this budget is one of the best options available. it uses quantum dot technology which helps you have wider range of colors. the Variable refresh rate has been improved and this option would be more pleasant if you are a person like me who plays video games a lot to be more smooth. the contrast ratio in this TV is one of my facorite aspects which is pretty great. this TV has a great quality in watching movies and shows. it can well handle reflections if you have a home which gets lots of light during the day like me. but keep in mind you cannot put the TV in front of a window that has direct light and expect this TV doesnt show the reflections!!! it can handle well lit room. next thing that might be important is sometimes you want to watch a movie from your collection and it has low quality like 480p. I tried it and surprisingly it upscaled it very well. the quality of 720 and 1080 upscaling is great which I expect every 4k TV do that but upscaling 480p is not easy I believe and I loved how it does. the borders are 1 cm and I consider it thin and I like as it is and the overall thickness is also around 8cm which I believe it is great for this price.the last thing that I forgot to tell is the quality of remote control, the buttons are really smooth and soft. it works from distance and it responds to your commands really fast. overall I liked it. maybe if I want to mention its disadvantage with this price would be I would expect them to add HDMI 2.1 compared to U6G so the refresh rate could increase more but still its not noticeable. again with the money you are paying you cant expect it includes everything.

Decent TV and built-in software
I got the 55″ model on sale and paid $350. For that price, I am very happy with this TV’s performance. The local dimming makes for decent HDR, but it is nowhere near as good as an OLED display. But that’s expected as this TV a fraction of the price of an OLED. In my opinion, this makes for a good budget pick. Also, it works for putting in a bedroom/guestroom as opposed to your living room. Also, keep in mind that this TV is 60 fps max, which is plenty for any video content, but insufficient for the current generation of gaming consoles. The software on this TV is mostly great and even allows for hands free voice control of the TV, which is very cool. However, the software sometimes lags and hitches which leaves you waiting for the page to change or you may even notice stuttering video playback at first. This is on a 2 gig fiber network that no other devices ever need to buffer on. It’s been mostly tolerable, but on a modern device I expect better performance. Because of this, I may need to upgrade to a roku and stop using the built in software which would mean that I can no longer use the voice commands to their fullest. The internal speakers are mediocre. The clarity and volume are adequate, but there’s little to no low end or bass. So the speakers are basically good enough for watching TV, but don’t expect an immersive movie viewing experience. With all of that being said, this 55″ TV is still a ridiculously good performer for $350. It’ll pump out 4k content with great contrast/colors and has usable smartTV capabilities. I think this TV is a great value even at the current list price of $450.

WARNING: HISENSE PROMOTION IS A SCAM: UPDATE
HISENSE PROMO FRAUD UPDATE No. xxx I’m almost embarrassed to keep adding to this review at this point. I just want people to know what can happen with “promotions” and online TV purchases, at least with Hisense, Inc. It has now been more than two weeks since the TV I returned to Hisense was delivered and signed for by a Hisense representative. I sent a message through the promotion webpage four days ago, which promises to respond within 2 business days. It seems doubtful at this point that they will ever honor the promotion even though my claim was approved. If they ever do, I will update this review. But as of right now it looks bleak.UPDATE:If you read below you will see that my experience with my Hisense purchase has been dismal. Not only was the TV I purchased defective, but my experience with the Hisense 100-Day Promotion has been highly disappointing and stressful. It has taken so much time for me to deal with the return shipping process (there were issues with the return shipping label), the numerous calls and emails to Promotion Support and to UPS (which refused to pick up the return unless I had a UPS account and agreed to pay $31 for the pickup – supposed to be paid for by Hisense) that I will never again purchase a Hisense product, and will certainly never have anything to do with any Hisense “promotion”. Had I known the difficulties that I would face with this purchase and promotion, I would have run the other way as fast as possible. As for the return shipping, I was able to avoid the $31 fee for the UPS pickup as I happened to have a UPS Ground delivery and they took the TV when they delivered the package. I don’t know what would have happened if the UPS driver had been unable or unwilling to take the TV during the stop. But, as it stands right now (Saturday 11/12/22) the UPS tracking for the return shows that the TV was delivered to Hisense at 10:37am on 11/07/22 (Monday). However, when I checked the Hisense Promotion website, it shows that they are still waiting for me to return the TV. I called Promotion Support and they advised me that “the system” will not update to show that the TV was received until “the recycling department” signs off on the return. No mention of how long this could take. But the Hisense Promotion webpage states that refunds will be issued within 30 days of the recycling team signing off on the return. So, there is no way to know when I might get my refund, if ever, since it all depends on how long it takes for the recycling team to do it’s job. However, if the matter is not resolved in the near future, I will take whatever actions I deem necessary, up to and including legal action. As for Amazon, I called Customer Support and tried to explain the situation to see if they would accept a return of the TV given the problems I have had with Hisense. I was told that they would accept the return for a full refund. However, they issued me a partial refund immediately and charged me a $110 restocking fee. Therefore, I did not return the TV to Amazon and am waiting for them to deduct the partial refund from my bank account. So I received a return shipping label for my TV return. However, the attached email states that the label is for a laptop return for a laptop purchased at Costco. I am returning a TV not a laptop. Also, I purchased the TV from Amazon not Costco. I am afraid to use the label since the email has the wrong purchase details. I am even more worried that Hisense is attempting to get out of its obligation, regarding the promotion and my return. I will now have to call customer service again on Monday, as they don’t accept calls on the weekend. This will be the second time I have had to call, and it takes a long time to get through the automated phone response system. My advice – if you purchased a Hisense TV from Amazon under this so-called promotion, you have 30 days to return it to Amazon. After that, you are stuck with dealing with Hisense. Therefore, if you think you are not happy with the purchase, you should return it to Amazon within the 30 day return period and thereby avoid having to deal with Hisense.WARNING: HISENSE PROMOTION FRAUD – I purchased this TV under the 100-Day Hisense Promotion. “Try it for 100 days and return it if you don’t love the TV” Well I decided to return it because it has numerous problems, including audio problems, turning off by itself, etc. The return was approved by Hisense. I received a confirmation email stating that a return shipping label would be emailed to me within 5 business days. However, it has been five business days and I received no label. I called Hisense customer support and was told they are “having a problem ” with their return shipping labels. I was told to wait another five days for a label, and if I haven’t received a label by then, to call customer service. I don’t know how they can have a “problem” that prevents them from issuing return shipping labels. I fully expect that I will not receive a label – again – and I will have to call back and they will have another excuse as to why they haven’t provided me with a label. The time limit for returning the TV once the return is approved is 30 days. Can’t very well return it with no return shipping label. I can foresee them using delay tactics until the time limit expires, and then they will refuse the return because it’s outside the time limit. I should have known that this promotion was too good to be true. I have changed my review to 1 Star because of this issue.UPDATE #2: I called HISENSE customer support about the return shipping label. They say the shipping label I received from them is the correct label and to call UPS to schedule a FREE pick up. The label is for UPS Ground service. However, UPS refuses to pick up the package. They insist that I must pay a $30 fee and I must have a UPS account so they can bill me for the pick up. Hisense insists that the pick up should be free. So here I am, caught in the middle. I have no way to get the TV to a UPS location. To say that I am upset and disappointed with this experience is an understatement. Hisense advertised the promotion as having easy returns, but it is anything but easy. Not sure what will happen next but I will have to call Hisense AGAIN (this will be the third time) to try and get this straightened out. I fear that I am going to be stuck with the TV (which has several issues). I may call Amazon, or file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, to see if they will accept a return. What a major headache and nightmare. I will never buy a Hisense product again, especially under a Hisense promotion.TV Review: I received my brand new Hisense 65-inch U6H Model 65U6H HDTV today. This was sold and shipped by Amazon. The TV ships in it’s original retail box, so no extra packaging to provide added protection during shipping. My U6H arrived with some damage to the outer box. The corner top of one side was damaged, and there was a puncture in the middle front of the box – right in the middle of where the TV screen would be. There was no obvious damage to the TV. Setup of the TV was quite easy. The legs fit perfectly into the base of the TV and each leg only requires two screws to secure to the TV. The screws went in easily and without issue. I was actually able to do the whole setup process myself, and I am a short 56 year old man. The TV is surprisingly light and I was able to lift it relatively easily by grasping it with one hand on the bottom beneath the screen and one hand to balance it on top. I was very impressed with how easy it was to get the TV out of the box. Just cut the three plastic straps, open the box, remove the styrofoam insert, an the outer box just slips right up and off. I was also impressed with the inner packaging. In particular, there were protective plastic shields on the sides of the TV, as well as plastic material all around the frame of TV which strips off easily. So as far as packaging, and the ease of physically setting up the TV, I would give it an A+. I had no trouble plugging in the power cable to the back of the TV and turning it on. Immediately, the TV started the setup process, which I found to be easy and quick versus other TVs I have owned. I was easily able to connect to my WiFi, and tested out several different apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. Everything happened quickly and smoothly – better than any TV I have used before. There were no glitches with lip sync while viewing content through apps – a problem I had previously with a Hisense TV. Overall, I would give the smart features another A+. Now, we get to the meat of it all – how does the TV perform. My first immediate reaction was wow. I immediately tested the picture quality by watching an 8K Dolby Digital video on YouTube, and I found the colors to be super vivid and bright. In fact, I think the backlight was a little too much, as white colors came out totally indistinctly. However, I was easily able to adjust the backlight and picture settings using the remote. By the way, the remote seems to work very well – there is virtually no lag between pressing a button on the remote and seeing the TV respond. Now is where we get into some problems. Yes, the colors are vivid, out of the box. As far as brightness is concerned, I found it exceptional. In fact, I had to dial back the brightness a bit. Mind you, I watch TV at night in a semi-darkened room. However, if there is an area where Hisense excels, it is in the brightness of it’s panels. The U6H is no exception. Despite it’s advertised relatively low peak brightness, something like 600 nits, I believe it is plenty bright enough for a large majority of consumers. Yes, you could go with a U8H or last years UHG, and get much greater brightness and backlighting. You also would pay considerably more. But in my opinion, the U6H will more than satisfy the majority of users when it comes to just peak brightness. If only brightness were the only issue. Sadly – and I wanted to like this TV so much – there were problems right out of the box. First, the Hisense webpage for this TV advertises that it supports HDMI 2.1 on all of its HDMI ports. That is not true. I can confirm that it only supports 2.0. Period. If you are a gamer, this is a problem for you, as it is for me. And if you are a gamer, you know why. If you are not a gamer, you can skip the rest of this review, until the conclusion. I bought this TV knowing that it is a 60 hertz panel. So I was prepared for that. I have my PC hooked up to this new U6H, using Windows 10, with an NVIDIA 3060ti graphics card. I am using a high quality, high speed HDMI cable, so my problems aren’t the HDMI cable. The problem is, that this TV will not accept full 4K – in HDR – from a PC. It has a limited color gamut. It will not process 4.4.4 Chroma in 12-Bit or 10-Bit color at 60 Hz. In fact, it is limited to 4.2.0 Chroma at 60Hz in 8-bit color. It will process RGB color from the PC – but again, only in 8-bit color. In short, you will not get more than 8-bit color from this TV when hooked up to a PC. This is depressing. I just sold a 2020 Vizio V-Series TV that I bought new for $250 on clearance, and it supported HDMI 2.1, as well as 4.4.4 Chromaor RGB at 60 Hz, 12-bit color. Which leaves me asking myself, why did I buy this TV? It doesn’t do what it is advertised to do – it doesn’t process HDMI 2.1. It doesn’t process more than 8-bit color when connected to a PC – like my old Vizio did – and to top it all off, the TV shut itself off within 1 hour of turning it on. This is exactly one of the problems that I had with the U8G – for which I was unable to get warranty support – they just wouldn’t respond to my support requests. I finally had to return the TV because the return period was about to expire and nobody from Hisense had responded to my complaints. So…where does all of this leave us?Should you buy a Hisense TV or not, and if so, should you go with the U6H? Well, I bought this 65 inch U6H after having a bad experience with the U8G that I had purchased – a bad experience with the TV and a bad experience with customer support. The thing is, I really want Hisense to succeed in it’s mission – to bring high quality TVs to the public at a reasonable price. But I will say that I bought the U6H during a Hisense promotion – I have 100 days to try the TV and return it if I am not happy. So, I decided to give them one more chance to get it right. Right now, I’m not feeling very good about my purchase. I just wanted a TV that I wouldn’t have problems with – I don’t want to have to go through the whole warranty process, or the Amazon return process. But now it looks like I will have to go through it all again. In conclusion, there is something to be said for going with a more well-known brand like Sony, Samsung, or LG. You pay a little bit more at the outset, but in my experience it is worth the extra cost when it comes to overall quality and customer support. Another issue I would like to address is updates. I want my TV to update automatically. And I expect a new update to bring improvement, not make things worse. This is an area where Hisense lags. The last Hisense I bought, the U8G, had audio problems, and Hisense has yet to come out with an update to solve the issue, even though this is a problem going back a year or more. MY CONCLUSION: Hisense makes super bright panels. If brightness is your priority above all else, then yes, you will be happy with a Hisense U6H. But there is so much more that goes into buying a TV. For most people, buying a new TV is a major expense. Like me, they don’t want to have to return a TV or try to get support from customer service for a TV that should just work as advertised, out of the box. Unfortunately, quality control and customer support are areas where Hisense fails miserably. I understand that some TVs come off of the assembly line with defects. What matters is, does the company stand behind it’s product? In regard to Hisense, in my experience the answer is no. They do not stand behind their products. Accessing customer service for support or warranty service is difficult, and they do not respond to requests for help. This means that many people will be forced to return their Hisense TVs because they cannot get support before the return period runs out. Exactly what happened to me with the U8G. In closing, I would say this – buying a TV is like buying a car. You should buy the best you can afford at the time. The prices for Hisense TVs seem like a bargain – on paper. But I believe, based on my experience, that you will get what you pay for, and in the end the chances are pretty high that you will have problems with a new Hisense TV, and when you try to get help from the company, they will blow you off. You will then be stuck with a TV that doesn’t do what it’s advertised to do, from a company that doesn’t stand behind it’s products, wondering as I do – why did I sell my 2020 Vizio TV. UPDATE: So I was able to get the TV to accept Chroma 4.4.4 color from my PC by adjusting the settings in the NVIDIA control panel. However, I had to lower the refresh rate to 30Hz to get it to do it, and the color depth is still stuck at 8-bit color and “Limited” dynamic range. When I change the refresh rate to it’s native 60Hz, the only color format available is Chroma 4.2.0 with “Limited” dynamic range. So no matter what you do, the TV only outputs the minimal 8-Bit color depth. I can also select RGB color format, which then allows for full dynamic range, but only if I change the refresh rate to 30Hz. So in summary, if you want the TV to run at it’s native 60Hz, you are limited to Chroma 4.2.0 with 8-Bit color and limited dynamic range. To run RGB you will have to lower resolution to 30 HZ, and you will get full dynamic range but still only 8-Bit color. Or, you can run Chroma 4.4.4 at 30 Hz with limited dynamic range.UPDATE: So a little while in, and I have some important updates regarding the 65-inch U6H that I purchased. First, there was a firmware update from Hisense which pushed through automatically. That was an improvement over the U8G that I had owned previously, so way to go Hisense. Also, the update seemed to do some good, as the TV is more stable, i.e. not turning off by itself so often. However, now the TV will not connect to my 5GHz WiFi – it connects for a moment and then disconnects. I’m forced to use 2.4GHz WiFi. It seems to work fine on 2.4 though. Also, this TV has trouble dealing with my Vizio M-Series soundbar. When I turn on the soundbar, the TV shuts off occasionally. At this point, I have to say that although the picture quality is pretty good, I would not pay full price for it, which right now is $598. It’s just too glitchy. I paid $549, and if I keep it Hisense will give me $100. So for $449…yes I’d say it’s worth it. But not $598.

Good TV but with multiple annoyances and issues, poor quality software
After checking out the various settings under Settings > Picture > Advance Settings — things like Motion Enhancement, Motion Clearness, Noise Reduction, Digital Noise Reduction — I noticed that my TV was in a mode where the brightest areas of the screen seemed to be flickering or pulsating at a very high frequency. It didn’t matter if I was watching antenna or HDMI or even the CVBS input, this flicker effect was always there. It was very annoying to me, though other people didn’t necessarily see it… but I couldn’t decide if I had just not noticed it before or if it was something to do with those settings or if it was new but coincidental… or if I was just having migraine auras or something. This impacted all inputs, though I don’t recall whether it impacted built-in apps like Netflix, since I rarely use them. So I put the settings back to defaults, turned the advanced options on and off, etc., and it didn’t seem to change the flicker problem… so I just lived with it until one day in frustration with the idea that I must have a nearly-new TV that is borderline defective unless I can fix it, I went for a deep dive through all the options to see what else it might be. It should have been nothing, because there should not be a setting that would mess up a TV like this, but…I noticed that under Settings > Picture > Advance Settings > Instant Game Response there was something called High Refresh Rate Mode. This setting is only available on HDMI, not antenna, and is off on all inputs. I thought “well, maybe high refresh rate mode would get rid of this annoying flicker.” At least on HDMI, since that setting isn’t available for Antenna. My reasoning is was not necessarily sound, but this was my thought process. I had to try something. Anything.I switched that option on and — whoa — it worked… the high refresh mode did not flicker… but that’s when things got weird. I checked the Antenna input and the flicker was gone from there, too, even though (like I already mentioned) that option can’t even be enabled for the antenna input. But things got weirder still. I went back to HDMI and turned off High Refresh Rate Mode and turned off Instant Game Response, and then problem was still gone. No flicker. Say what? Then I switched back to antenna and the problem is still gone. I fixed the flicker by turning something on and back off again. Not a good sign. But, it gets worse. Fast forward several days and everything had been great, no flicker… but I noticed that my remote had become sluggish when changing channels. Low remote battery? Not so fast. You can only actually switch through the channels so fast, of course, but previously I could flip through and see the channel numbers changing (with the picture catching up after I stopped clicking through channels) but now even this was laggy and unreliable. The number of up and down channel clicks didn’t correspond, like before, to how many channels you stepped through. Weird, and annoying. So I decided to reboot the TV. You should not have to reboot your television, but I thought “meh, poorly written software sometimes needs a reboot. Let’s try it.”The reboot fixed the channel changing problem. And the reboot brought the flicker back. 🤬But the same steps as before, turning on Instant Game Response and then High Refresh Mode, then turning them right back off, for one HDMI input, has fixed the issue again for all inputs. Bad software.Checking for update shows no updates are available.Today is 2023-10-23 and here’s what’s running:Android OS Version 11Android TV OS security patch level Feb 5, 2023Kernel Version 4.19.116+ #1 Thu Jun 15 18:31:27 CST 2023Android TV OS build RTT2.220118.001Software Version V0000.01.00S.N0615Extended Version D01I also own a Hisense 43A6H, which has never given me any similar trouble. It doesn’t have the “High Refresh Rate” option even though it does have the “Instant Game Response” option, which do I use on the other TV when I connect it to my computer. My satisfaction with the 43A6H is actually why I bought this model (65U6K, 2023 version), which has not been the same overall positive experience.—Another annoyance with this model is that the CVBS (composite video plus analog stereo audio) input is a single 1/8″ TRRS jack, not a set of RCA jacks. There was no cable or adapter furnished and the pinout appears to be completely undocumented. Reverse-engineering and googling suggests that it may be this:T – Audio Left +R1 – Video +R2 – Audio & Video Signal GroundS – Audio Right +I am using what I had on hand — a TRS cable — and I only needed video (not audio), so I might have R2 and S transposed, since my TRS connector’s sleeve touches both the R2 and S contacts inside the unit. Some people online say the connector should be “longer” than a standard 1/8” connector, but it isn’t — these people are just unfamiliar with TRRS connectors.—Another annoyance with both this model and my other Hisense TV is the signal strength indication for the antenna, which is hidden in settings under “manual scan.” It shows only signal strength as a percentage, in what appear to be 1 dBuV increments up to about 66% (though I’m not claiming that e.g. 60% == 60 dBuV, just that the strength seems to increment in 1 dB steps at least at the high end — but I don’t know what the reference level is) and everything above that is reported as 100%. Does 100% mean max (and beyond that you are nearing overload?) or does 100% mean optimal and there’s still a lot of headroom? Changing the channel selection on the manual scan screen does not change which channel’s signal you are reading on the meter unless you rescan the channel. Otherwise you have to go out of settings, change the channel, then come back in. Signal strength and quality are important tools and should have been given a better presentation.

Great deal!
I had a dumb plasma that started flickering and the picture got dim, so I decided it was time for a replacement. So far, I’m really happy with the TV and it is definitely an upgrade! For one, the streaming works well, and I no longer need a Chromecast! We haven’t experienced any issues with buffering, crashing, syncing, quality, etc as far as apps and streaming goes. As far as picture quality of the screen itself, it’s decent. The colors are vibrant and the picture is incredibly clear, with sharp lines. It’s not a radiator or 300 pounds like my plasma was either, which is really nice. For us, the best picture seems to be “standard” but there are other options as well. The speakers have good/loud sound as well, but we still use our soundbar because it’s better. I’m not sure how I get my free NBA game it was supposed to come with but whatever – I’m still happy with my purchase 😎

HDR Video and Brightness
Ordered 65U6K and the TV has exceeded my expectations. The Packaging was really good and Amazon was Spot on in delivering with care. The video quality of the tv is really good and it far exceeded my expectations if you are watching any HDR content or with 2k resolution and contrast is picture perfect due to local dimming for the price point may not as good as a U8K or Sony but for the price point this TV punches out video and competes with TVs that are a tier higher. The colors really pop out and the TV is bright enough to fight the glare in a well lit room. Sound quality and dialogue clarity is really good but lacks bass. A good sound bar to pair up with this would be nice but could get away with out one. Also there are two positions for the stand the inner placement helps you to keep the TV on a relatively smaller table.Draw backs:If you are not planning to mount the TV, I personally think that the TV stand is a bit small so TV wobbles a little, the stands with the TV might be good for a 50 or 55 but for 65 and 75 they are on smaller side.U6Kis really good with 4k or HDR content but when you are watching any content less than 1080 the video quality drastically decreases and this TV suffers a bit with content smoothing.

Amazing TV for the price. Regret buying it on Amazon.
Great image with its mini led panel. The refresh rate at 240Mhz gives it a smooth image. Overall great TV for the price. I’ll never buy a TV at Amazon again. I only bought at Amazon because it offered a “room of choice” delivery for free, that included placing on a room of choice, unpacking, and taking the boxes away. The delivery guys came by dropped TV and told us we hadn’t select the “room of choice” and went way. I reached out to customer service and found out the delivery guys canceled the service for no reason, then the customer service agent question was “ What do I want?” It’s unbelievable how Amazon’s customer service has gone downhill.
