Pure frustration…not useful or efficient
I have no idea how this has any good review; it’s beyond difficult to use and if you have more than one page to scan, you will be there for hours to get them scanned and not get errors. HARD PASS.

Great Library accessory
I use this scanner to scan pages of books at the library and especially in the Archives section in which I cannot remove the books. Connected easily to my laptop and transferred JPGs. It took a little practice to get the technique down. Once you move the scanner you must keep it moving. Good Luck.

PIECE OF JUNK
Worthless!!! Directions advise you to push the time button to set the time. There is NO time button, only a hole. Also advises to push the format button, again, NO format button, only a hole. Attempted to use the unfolded end of a paper clip to push into each hole, nothing happens. This is a total piece of junk.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED when you need a portable scanner – otherwise stick to one that’s a flat-bed.
Loses 1*: it amazes me that @ this price point, this scanner doesn’t include a 32gb micro-SD card to begin with, as well as a tool to set the time & format the SD card, and even when you have your own tool, I couldn’t figure out how to set the time anyway. Fortunately – a time stamp isn’t important to me. Also, the default DPI setting is “Low”, so you have to change it to “Med” or “High” every time you turn it on if that’s what you want. However, there’s lots of things to LIKE about this scanner as well. What I like the most is that it’s easy to use & produces great scans * with practice *. 2nd – although you can remove the micro-SD card & insert it into your computer to view the images, you don’t HAVE to do that – you can also connect a USB-C cable as well. BTW – I did buy a 32gb card to go with it. I agree with the other reviewers about 2 things: 1) use the calibration card before first use, & 2) practice your scanning “speed” to decide what works best for you. I found that a slow, steady downward movement produced the best scans. AND – be prepared to do a complete scan without pausing or moving the material you’re scanning – otherwise you’ll get an error light. Last – no matter how good you get using this scanner, the scans will never be as good as using a traditional flat-bed scanner, simply because of the human element.I routinely make “enhancements” to Amazon products when it’s easy, & in this case, I added an arrow in the middle between the guide arrows to help direct my “aim”, as well as mounted the calibration card to a ¼” piece of board so that I can take it on the road with me so I have it if needed.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED when you need a portable scanner – otherwise stick to one that’s a flat-bed.

Very easy to use and works great!
Was more than a bit uneasy about using this, at first, but thankfully those worries/anxieties were unfounded as soon as I started.I find it quite simple to learn how to use it, and thankfully the instructions were quite helpful in letting me know what to expect beforehand.I’d highly recommend this.

I wish the instructions were more clear and maybe more detailed on how to use the product. I think it does a lot more than I have discovered. Wondering if there is a more efficient way to use it.

GREAT PRODUCT – I use it all the time in my Notary business
Needing to make copies of documents frequently, I used to use my phone camera, then had to print them out, which took a lot of toner. NOW, I simply scan the document or the signers ID, as a pdf file, and simply down load it when I scan documents back. It work like a charm. VERY easy to use, and VERY HIGH QUALITY file produced.

Works with a bit of practice
I used this product mainly to scan photos along with a few text documents and was eventually able to get quick high-quality scans. Getting to that point, however, is a bit difficult. First of all, I really love how simple the scanner is to use. Two buttons to adjust the image format and dpi then just one button to start and stop scanning. It makes it super easy to teach anyone how to use the scanner. The biggest hurdle with this product is the speed at which you should scan. You need to consistently keep a perfect speed because as soon as you speed up or down too much you get a blurry or distorted image. The device is not that heavy and the rollers on the bottom work well so it is not difficult to roll across the paper but getting the correct speed down to muscle memory will take some time and you will need to take out the sd card and put it into a computer to see if the pictures came out fine which eats up a lot of time. However, when you get that speed down the pictures are definietly clear. Make sure to calibrate before use with the instructions given in the box. There are a few other small features I have issues with. First of all it uses mini USB for charging which at this point is very outdated and means an additional wire that I have to keep on hand. Switching to a newer port probably would not make much of a difference but I am a strong believer that at this point all new devices should support usb-c or at least micro-usb just to reduce the number of wires you need around the house. Secondly the manual advertises that it supports SD cards up to 32GB and comes with a 16GB card so if you plan to use this device a lot make sure you wont need to store all your files on the SD card in the device since it will fill up eventually and you will need to transfer files elsewhere. The built in screen is also very small and hard to read, however it is nice that when scanning a clearly visible green light shows up rather than just a small indicator on the screen.Included in the box you also get a simple nylon carrying case and microfiber cloth, simple additions that I appreciate since it makes the device easier to carry around and store.Overall, I think the product does its job great. Before picking this or a similar product up I would try using a scaner app on your phone. You can find plenty of free ones and they will give you just as great quality scans along with instant feedback on how the photos will look and ability to crop them. However, they are by no means completely better than this device. The apps can be a bit finicky and once you get a rhythm I think you can be faster using this portable scanner than with an app. See which use case works better for you and if you find that the app just does not cut it I think this portable scanner in particular can be a great one to pickup.

Tricky to get correct speed
The scanner did ultimately work, but it took me well over an hour to get a half decent scan, or should I say, half of a decent scan. Probably the difficulty was that I had it set to high resolution (or maybe it was that I was scanning a picture). I kept getting error codes. When I went more slowly the scanner shut down in a second or 2, and I got 18 slices of the photo I was trying to copy. (see first photo). After trying it repeatedly, I finally got about 2/3 of the picture I was scanning (see headless, tailless dinosaur in the second photo). The directions are pretty awful, but I suspect that once you figure out the correct speed to use for the resolution you are aiming for it ought to work well. I can not say that I am there yet, but will use a lower resolution next time. The part of the picture I managed to scan did have good color and resolution, but I am not sure if scanning at a lower resolution might have been easier.I like that it gives you the option of saving in pdf or jpeg, and it was very easy to connect and upload. It is, however, more difficult to use than any scanner I have used before. Better directions would be very helpful. The video provides more information than the manual.

Definitely Works…But Isn’t Stellar.
I was able to follow the instructions well, and for what it’s worth, the scanner does work as it says it will. However I was hoping it would reproduce the colors of my documents correctly, and even after calibration, it did not. I’m very sad about that, I was really looking forward to having a portable scanner.I did find it easy to roll this along my documents. Calibration was a tad confusing but it isn’t HARD. Just make sure to read the instructions. You don’t HAVE to calibrate out of the box, but it definitely improves the quality of the scans. If you’re just trying to quickly scan receipts or text documents, or even pictures you don’t need perfect colors on, this scanner will work fine for you. If you want it to scan original artwork…you’re better off sticking with a traditional, stationary scanner.

Good quality scans
This little portable scanner works good. It took a little bit of time to figure out how it worked. The directions are not great. But, once I figured it out, it was quite easy. I use it at work and can plug it in directly to a computer and use it as a drive. You can scan directly and move the files to another location for storage or to email..

Just use your phone. This needs a case. Hard to use. Flimsy. Bluetooth? No. Too Expensive.
I decided to have this because for some work they want a scan of receipts. The phone doesn’t always do the best job, and what is preferred is a scanner output.Fine, I’m traveling I figure this would work out great, also, as a backup. Win-Win.Well, not so much. B/W print is a way to go for receipts, docs, etc., but it takes a while to learn and the timing of a tai chi master. I felt like this would work great in a park and then with others doing slow martial arts.I included a photo [4] of the battery placement. It’s a really cheaply done cover to take off, put in AA, and put back in. My guess is, this breaks fairly soon, but uncertain what may be more early.MicroSD? Yes.Bluetooth? No.USB: sure, but of some outdated variant as shown.Easy to use: 2 Stars [Once you Figure it Out]Tech Support: NA/3 Stars -No need to call.Portability: 2 Stars – This ABSOLUTELY needs a case to protect it and keep it clean! If anything a nice cloth container to put it inside. If this were $24.99 I’d give it 2 stars. At its current price this is one of the easier 1 stars I’ve given.Note: I likely give 1 star to less than 5 percent of my reviews on ANY platform.

Great document scanner!
Even though you can use your phone to scan documents these days, when you are working with something larger sized, a document scanner is still handy to have. This one is excellent! It scans very efficiently, it outputs high resolution, high quality scans, and it is super easy to use…just need to get adjusted to the correct speed for what you are doing. This is a very, very small learning curve and one you’d need to make anyway if you were using another device too.It is very easy to set up – comes with instructions but honestly you don’t even really need them. You don’t have to calibrate it immediately but you should as it will produce a better quality image. It’s small enough to be portable but large enough to be useful for many, many things, even large blueprints etc. It’s easy to store in a drawer and doesn’t take up a bunch of room. You could easily travel with this too if you needed to.All in all, if you are looking for one of these, this one is an EXCELLENT choice and it works exceptionally well. I highly recommend it!

Works well but…
So this is hard to review, because the item is as described and works well but not sure how necessary it is when you can use a scanner app on your phone.PROS:It provides good quality pdf or jpeg formats. Easy to use too. The video for the listing is accurate and shows how to use it so watch their video. But the video shows a CD, you actually don’t get or need this CD. You just connect it to your pc or laptop. Its easy to scan too. They’re rollers on the underside so you just roll down on your sheet to scan. Easy to travel with, as it’s slim.and light and they included a travel bag.CONS:They’re really aren’t any cons. Product works as described and images/scabs are good. The only real con for me is the price. At mid-60s, I can’t really justify the cost when I can use a scanner app for free on my phone and get close to the same quality. It’s probably a little bit better quality and I can do multiple documents. Free scanner apps usually have a limit to have many scans you can have and you have to pay to store more scans but that’s an easy work around. Just email to yourself before deleting. I guess it really depends on your needs.

Easy to use for quick scans
The media could not be loaded.
**I apologize for the shaky video. I have a bit of a tremor I don’t notice until i make a video.I recall these were available years ago and used by traveling business people. I was excited to receive this scanner and was planning to scan old photos. However, the scanner leaves a pinkish hue and, if I go too fast or move incorrectly, there are errors similar to a skipped line of text. There are rollers located on the bottom of the scanner that help keep you moving in a straight line. You do have to slide the scanner down the page as it doesn’t move independently.Connected to my laptop via USB and it is easy to find the documents I’ve scanned. The

Nice little scanner
Its not going to produce the results of a flatbed scanner but does a good job of scanning pages when you cant fit them into a flatbed.
