I tried to contact Hamilton beach by calling customer support , no one to answer the call and I have send email to them finding the address from their website , however no reply .Seems like this blender will end up in trash . Such a waste of money ,

Surely works great for Indian Grinding/Mixing/Blending Needs.
I was hesitant to make this purchase but am pleasantly surprised. It worked great for – Mint chutney, Peanut Chutney, Coconut Chutney, Channa Chutney, Dosa batter, Idli Batter, Vada Batter, Carrot, Beetroot Juices/Smoothies.I dumped my traditional wet grinder, juicer and old mixer for this all in one piece. Such a counter space saver!Cleaning is easy and not any much different than for other blenders. The jar caps are sturdy and clip on well. So no need for holding them anymore.I purchased warranty also just in case as I will be using it extensively! I love it so far. Surely will recommend for all Indian cooking needs.

Worth it
The blender is extremely powerful and should get all your blending needs done perfectly. Make sure to wash the plastic lid otherwise it may get discolored. This machine is a powerful beast and works so hard that you need to be careful not to blend too long or else it may end up heating up the item you’re blending.Highly recommended.

Best grinder for Indian cooking and more
We have been using this grinder/blender for over a month now. We were looking for a grinder for Indian food for over a year. I finally thought maybe I should order from India since I couldn’t find anything here in the US, but due to COVID-19, there was a long waiting time. One day I came across this one. I read almost all the reviews and was a bit hesitant since some people had issues and good reviews were not long enough to get to know much about the product.I gave it a try anyway, and it came in within 12 days (a bit longer wait time). It packaged very carefully, and it was a beauty fresh out from the box and very high-quality stainless steel. It is nothing less than my Ninja kitchen system and Vitamix. I have seen some Indian brand grinders. The quality and the craftsmanship can never match up to Ninja or Vitamix. We had some Hamilton Beach products in the past I(the entry-level) but never impressed with the brand. This Professional line is top of the line when it comes to quality. When I come to the performance, we grind the spices; I have been watching many masala recipes on YouTube, making my own at home. I have learned to make some green chatni during the lockdown. A family friend of ours gave us homegrown organic turmeric roots. It grinds beautifully, it was a little hot and had to wait for a few minutes like 4 or 5 minutes to restart. But it’s turmeric root we are talking about; it is tough to grind the turmeric. I tried Ninja in the past, and it couldn’t grind it, and yes, Ninja is not a grinder, but I have been using Ninja to grind here and there in the past.I use the big jar to make smoothies; something in the blades makes the smoothies soft and even consistency like Vitamix. It is a mixture of two of my favorite blenders. I genuinely enjoy it, and there is a five-year warranty on it, and they sell the extra parts separately on their website. The functionally is there, but it also starts with just pressing one switch if you don’t want to go through all those functions. Honestly, I don’t use those functions at all. I use the power button and chose my speed, and hit start. In the end, it has become my favorite blender/grinder, and I reach for it the most. It has been part of our daily cooking.

its not a Vitamix
it’s a good attempt to make a good mixer! S&S jar, descent power. The challenge with the design is the following::- its not as powerful as a Vitamix- it has a universal flat blade, which works but not great if you want that vertex blending. it requires manual mixing to remove the grinded item from the base.- The base of the mixer gives the look of steel, but it’s not. it’s plastic with some thin steel layer- lid has its own safety lock, which might sound good but its pain in the neck as it has multiple grooves (grid like shape). if its not seeded completely it will not work also this plastic is not very strong and it has been broken on me few times. (though customer server is good)Would have been better if the Design team considered the following suggestion ::- make the body more sturdy; even if its not all ‘steel look’ its fine; when you press the on/off switch you can feel the quality of thin plastic underneath- remove the grid lock safety on the lid, its pain ! keep it simple … please !- improve the blade, flat blade is not that good …I will give Hamilton team kudos in trying to make a mixer which works ! thanks a lot !!

Powerful and good machine. Issues with 0.5L jar
The media could not be loaded.
The machine is powerful and does its job. We had issues with the smallest jar (0.5 L jar) as its locking system is finicky and the base unit won’t recognize the jar. Since the unit has 5 years warranty we were able to get the replacement from the HB after 11 months of use.

If you cook Indian food but don’t want to pay for a Vitamix, get this
I have always aspired to own a Vitamix. Wanted an Ascent 3500 and then a friend got it. Saw all the woes she had with sizes and the app being all buggy. And god, the infernal noise it makes renders all conversation pointless until she’s done blending. This is the problem with very good legacy companies, they just don’t get the tech right. This mixer grinder on the other hand, keeps it simple, is an ace at Indian cooking and the interface is simple. Not mad noisy either. At least not for an Indian household. It’s completely handsfree too – the countdown makes sure it powers down without your intervention. And the lids lock in place so securely. If I absolutely had to complain, all I can say is the little hook that lets you push the lid off when you’re done – I predict it will break one day. It’s a clear fault line and a crack waiting to happen. I am choosing to be careful with that for now. Can’t have it all I guess.

Suitable for blending medium to large quantities
Have been using it for a week now and here are the pros and cons I found so far.Pros: Powerful motor. Gets job done much quicker for medium to large loads. Easy to clean inside and out because of the smooth finishes unlike Indian blenders that have screws.Cons: Even the smallest jar is too big to make chutney for 1 or 2 people or for making small quantity masala paste for curries. Noise level is very high when machine runs above medium speed. Though the Operating Manual gives the recommended settings for some purposes, they did not work for me today when I made the chutney. Coconut pieces did not get ground to fine paste. The Operating Manual needs to be updated

Bought Juts by looking at Chef Kunal Kapoor’s Video
– I have been looking for Mixer Grinder suitable for Indian style cooking use, couldn’t find any in the market- My wife have use several US mixers that we buy from walmart and they run for couple of years before need to throw them away. Used several named brands over the years but within $80 range.- I have Ninja blender/food processor 1000 Watts that is fabulous for smoothies and shakes- I have masticating juicer as well that I am more than satisfied- I also have a small $60 dry masala and wet chutney maching, ok for small quantities- I needed something for dry masalas and Indian style cooking needs- I was told Sujata is the best brand that I should buy, t has metal gears etc… I checked sumeet, preethi etc. Couldn’t find any of these upto the mark looking at several videos and reviews.- I stumbled upon this one on Amazon and watched the first video and immediately second video of Chef Kunal started. I recognized him as I saw some of his cooking channels.- The main factor the tilted the needle for me was a. It was stated that it is built with collaboration from INDIAN engineering. That translated for me – Indian style cooking needs (dry masala, wet chatni, large purees). b. I confirmed with my sister back in India and Chef Kunal is quite respected c. Hamolton Beach Brand d. Meticulously designed steel jars, blade, seal, automation. e. Finally Horse Power.- I am waiting for it to arrive tomorrow and excited. Once I get to use it, I will update this revew/comment.

The above small plastic tab ( chutney jar actuator ) broke within 40 days . The chutney jar wont work unless this tab locks in . its a shame to see such a wonderful product go to waste . sent direct message to company instead of Amazon since it was past return policy period got no response . Ultimately Amazon refunding money after 10 percent deduction of stocking fee . Tried to find just extra lid but its not available .

Does the job
I received this product on July 9th I like it does all the work, took little time to understand the settings today I made chutney like I set it to wet hard and fine its done in 20 secs automatically, wonderful I gave 4 stars because motor’s getting heat very quickly, I think its because it grinds so fast in low speed.over all I like it with 3 jars, Indian cooks will be happy.

Stopped working after first use
I purchased the Hamilton Beach professional mixer as a warehouse item in “very good” condition. It worked fine on the first try. One month later on the second try, the display will only show the blinking indicator that the blending jar is not locked in place. The small and large jars both clearly and audibly do lock into place, but a sensor must have already malfunctioned. The mixer will not run since the sensor is showing the jars not securely locked, and the 30 day return window for warehouse used products has expired. I now have a $350 paper weight in the kitchen. My old Preethi may be loud and not look as streamlined as the Hamilton beach, but it has been going strong for 5 years and there are no sensors to disable it. It is not worth the risk to save a few dollars on a warehouse item and loose all quality control and return eligibility.

Best Mixer I’ve ever had
I’ve used many popular Indian brand mixers and they did their job pretty well. The cons about those brands were that they were too noisy, ugly, poor design, not serviceable in USA if it were to konk out. I’ve been using this Mixer for a few months and was pleasantly surprised with its power and ability. It’s very quite, well thought out design, stylish and serviceable in the USA. It’s priced comparable to the popular Indian brand of mixers. I’m loving it and worth every penny.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH HAMILTON PRODUCT AND THEIR SUPPORT
Hamilton company is the worst ever. I had purchased this blender back in October 2022 and blender stopped working in Feb 2023. When I contacted the customer care for warranty support. They are not providing me the replacement and not giving me the refund as I purchased the item from Amazon.com. They quoted that product is out of stock on their website and hence can’t provide me the replacement and warranty would not hold until stock is back in.I have no option but to forget the money I spent on their product trusting the company.I would strongly recommend everyone not to trust the brand to buy this cheap product

Was so looking forward, but…
Our Preethi mixer stopped working all of a sudden, after 13 years of great service. We finalized HB mixer after reading a lot of good reviews. We were totally looking forward to enjoying this unit. Unfortunately, it did not keep the promise. The unit does look like a new-age mixer and is quite loud but fails to deliver on the performance. The locking mechanism for the lid could have been simpler. In a side-by-side comparison with Vitamix, it left a lot of veggie chunks in the juice. Achieving required coarse granularity with a spice powder also required a lot of work and still was not satisfactory. So with a heavy heart, have to give a two-star rating.

Pathetic product. In 6 months our product has started giving burning smell. We see black burn marks under the mixer when we try to use. Also does not grind very well. Highly overpriced for such a bad quality product. Worst of all, despite being under warranty, the customer Service of Hamilton beach have washed their hands and won’t replace. Never buying this or any other Hamilton beach product again.

I bought this product reading the great reviews that the buyers provided, but I am upset the fact that the mixer got hot and it was showing red light within 15 mins of using it. Good Quality Blender with Extra Mixing Cups
We’ve been using this blender about once a week for nearly two years and it is holding up pretty well. We really only use it for smoothies with frozen fruit, nuts and powders so it doesn’t really see extended heavy duty use. I don’t love the electronic display because I prefer manual controls like on our old Vita-mix, but it does work.Like others have mentioned it’s showing some light rust and wear here and there, but it’s still working fine. We just make sure we dry everything thoroughly after use to keep it from rusting. It has a powerful motor but definitely falls short of the power of the Vita-mix motor. We do find the Hamilton Beach runs a lot quieter, though, which is really nice. Our old Vita-mix makes a real racket when we run it, that’s why we usually use the Hamilton Beach. For about one-half the cost of a Vita-mix you get about 80% of the power and several extra mixing containers. For us this blender was the right choice, if your needs are more heavy duty or you use a blender daily, maybe invest in something a bit more powerful and durable.

Does NOT grind well! Coconut, cashews or even ginger garlic
I had this product for almost 20 days. It is not worthy for an indian kitchen, it doesn’t grind the chutneys or pulses well.. small particles are left not grinder well even after a high speed acceleration and long times. And one of the jar’s lid holder lock broke within such a short time. Not recommending for Indian kitchen. I had to return mine.

Powerful mixer but questionable quality and warranty
The good: Powerful mixer that can handle nearly anything you throw at it. The blending modes are great and work well. The jars are the perfect size for for most household blending tasks. The bad:1. The underside of the jars started rusting and the coating started flaking off under a year (Picture 1 and 2)2. If you shake the jars, bits of rusted metal fall off from the handle. This is big safety concern for me.3. When I approached Hamilton Beach with these concerns, and exchanging several emails with customer service for a month, they denied to honor warranty claiming that I had abused the jars.I will no longer be purchasing Hamilton Beach products in the future.

Great for Indian food items
The mixer grinder blender is great to use and overall is a nice product, especially for Indian cooking stuff such as Idli/Dosa batter, chutneys, soups, smoothies, etc. We love that it has steel jars, and the price is incredible.Pros: All the good things you can expect from a great blender. It has great features, especially the motor temperature light is amazing and would extend the life of the mixer and grinder. It feels like a Vitamix quality material.Cons: 1. It is difficult to clean around the rubber of the jars. You need to remove the rubber to clean it as stuff gets underneath them. It is an issue with most blenders though.2. You need to rotate the connecting blades slightly for fixing the jar. It is not specified anywhere, so it is something you should know or figure out on your own.3. I don’t think it can crush the ice. It would have been great if it can doubled up as an ice crusher the way Vitamix does as it is almost identical and of the same level of quality as a Vitamix one in that aspect.

Worth it but too loud
Ease to clean, perfect for all soups, gravy masalas and chutneys. I don’t frequently use for idle batter but rest every is good. Only disappointment is too LOUD sound which is annoying.

A no fuss grinder for indian cooking
I cant think of any bad things about this setup. Especially good for hard Indian spices. Reduces the cooking time significantly.

A basic need for everyday Indian cooking.

This was my birthday present 3 years ago and we have used it every single day since then and this powerful machine is going strong. We use it daily for our smoothies and juices, gravies, and purees for everyday cooking. Use it weekly for making dosa/idli/chilla batters/chutneys and spice mixes like biryani masala, roasted cumin and coriander powder. I have used it to grind rock salt and the results are impressive. It’s one of those things that is worth every penny and saves a lot of money that we used to spend on store bought dosa/idli batters. I recommend making this one time investment if you are a busy family who want to eat homemade family meals on a daily basis. Meal prep is so efficient with this kitchen tool.

My first experience with a mixie
Edited to add: I made some dosa batter using the 1 L jar, and decided to try the manual pulse instead of any of the preset functions. I was easily able to grind soaked rice to my desired consistency with almost NO added water! Your best bet with this machine may be to ignore all the presets and just do everything manually. I’m liking this more now. I may up my star rating as I experiment more with this. Manual pulse has the added benefit of being quicker and far less noisy.I love Indian food, and have long thought of getting a mixie, but was always put off by the price and the issue of where to store another appliance. I couldn’t resist the offer of this through Vine, though. Since this my first experience using a mixie, it’s a little hard to know how to grade this. I’m not sure how it compares to others on the market. My experiences are with American blenders, food processors, and juicers.First off, this is not a juicer. I have no idea why they call it that. Juicers separate the fiber from the liquid content of fruits and vegetables. This does not. You can, of course, use this to make smoothies, as you would a blender. But you probably already have a blender. Mixies are a sort of hybrid blender/food processor/grinder.My first experiment with this was making idli batter, which neither their manual nor their recipe booklet has guidelines for, so I wasn’t sure which setting to use to obtain the proper texture for the rice. I used 1/2 cup water with 2 cups soaked idli rice in the larger jar on the Wet Hard/Coarse setting, but this wasn’t quite enough liquid to blend properly. I added a couple more tablespoons of water and tried the Wet Hard/Medium setting, stopping it about halfway through. This achieved the right texture, and my idlis turned out lovely. I will say, though, that this is the loudest kitchen appliance I have ever used. It is *extremely* loud.Next I made some ginger-garlic paste in the 1/2 liter dry jar. The manual specifies that this jar is to be used for grinding dry spices, but one of the recipes in their booklet calls for this to make a wet curry paste. I reached out to Hamilton Beach to ask about using the small jar for wet foods, using the email address they gave to Vine reviewers for questions concerning their product, but after a week I still have not heard back from them. So I forged ahead. Into the jar I put about 1/3 cup each whole garlic cloves and rough-cut ginger pieces. After a couple of seconds I had to stop the machine and scrape everything, as it had done all the grinding it could do without my help. But no matter how many times I stopped and scraped, it wouldn’t go beyond a sort of shredded consistency. To grind this, to turn it into a real paste, I had to add a fair amount of water. Maybe this is how mixies always are, I have no idea.Cleaning the jars was very easy. I found they came clean more quickly than either traditional blenders or food processors. That’s a plus.Overall, so far I have mixed feelings about this. It’s really more of a blender than anything else, and I have several blenders already. It’s hard to say, after my limited experience so far, if I think this does a better job than the blenders I already have. I do love the smallest dry jar, which allows you to grind both wet and dry items and then properly clean it. It’s better than either a mini-chopper/food processor or a coffee grinder, both in terms of performance and clean-up. I also love having several complete jars that go on one unit, each with their own grinding assembly and lid. I do find that I tend to want to do many of these types of tasks at once in the kitchen, and it’s nice to have extra clean, dry jars handy. You do need space to store these, of course. The issue is, this isn’t really a grinder, it’s a blender. A true grinder is far more squat, like a food processor, keeping the ingredients in touch with the grinding surface and requiring little to no liquid. Hamilton Beach claims that the funny-shaped sides of their blending containers causes the ingredients to keep circulating, but I’m not really sure I experienced that. You need a lot of liquid to keep the blending action going with this machine.
