I got really, really tired of accepting Samsung’s updated terms of service literally every other day. Also the lack of call screening, heard song caching, proper caller-id and spam protection got old pretty fast, as well.I upgraded to this feature rich phone and never looked back.Bye-bye Samsung. Great value!
I bought this phone in excellent condition as an upgrade from my Pixel 3A and I have to say it’s been great so far. It looks virtually brand new and came with Android 13 already installed on it. You can’t beat the value. This phone was $450 just two years ago. For someone who isn’t a heavy gamer, this is a no-brainer.

I’m impressed with the refurbished quality of this device I haven’t had any issues.Some people in the reviews have nightmare issues which doesn’t apply there’s poor quality control. I feel decently protected with the 90-day guarantee Amazon offers.

Wrong at first, but fixed fast
Originally sent a Locked Fi version that couldn’t be provisioned to Verizon. Contacted the seller and they sent out a correct unlocked replacement unit wayyyy faster than I expected. As for the device itself, this 5a 5G doesn’t seem used. It seems bad new. Not a scratch on it. After a week of charges, Accubattery gives a reading of 102% capacity!!

This company is a scam
Your phone will not work with calls and will flash as a system failure. I’ve been the unfortunate owner of many of these phones and can say without a doubt they will sell you one that works for a short amount of time before failing,I have been the owner of many of these phone models from Google and they do not flash as a failure.

The battery failed after 6 months
The battery failed after 6 months and the seller refused to handle the issue. Amazon stepped in and issued a refund less a “RESTOCKING FEE”. Charging a “RESTOCKING FEE” on a defective product is not acceptable. II have purchased a few devices from this seller and this was the first issue I’ve had and I will not buy from them again.

Fail after 6 Months
It was great until yesterday it crashed with the black screen of the dead, it’s really sad, I spent $160 on a phone that only lasted 6 months. Do not buy the pixel 5a soon or later it’s going to fail, the motherboard is the problem.

Black Screen 3 weeks after Return window closed
The phone worked fine for 4 months, although the display would take on a greenish tinge when the brightness level was under 20%. Then suddenly the screen turned black and there’s no display, even after forcing a restart. Issue happened 3 weeks after the return window closed.

Looks new
Looks and acts brand new. no scratches, all functions work. I popped a red pocket t-mobile card in it and 5g came right up. Works with google voice. Almost a month old now, everything is fine.

5 Months Later Not Working
I loved this phone for the first 4 months. Starting the 5th month the phone started turning off by itself and turning on after a few hours. A day ago it turned off never to turn on again. The phone is sealed so there’s no way to see if it’s just the battery or something else unless you want to pay someone $100 or more to diagnose it. I didn’t expect it to last long, but at least a year would have been great.

Awesome value on a great phone
This refurbished phone arrived neatly packaged and looking brand new. I was always satisfied with my Google Pixel 4a. I decided to upgrade it with the Pixel 5a based on reviews of the camera and long battery life. I really like the 6.34 inch screen. It has more screen without taking up much more pocket space. Camera works great and set up was a breeze. For $164 (and a $65 trade-in for my old phone) it is a great value.

The phone has everything That 95%Of users will actually use…… That really pretty much says it all Most people buy phones for bragging rights So if you aged out, are smarter than that, Or you need a good dependable phone for your kid this is the 1Any pixel really….. Renewed means it will break within the year
Seven months and the screen stopped working and is peeling off suddenly. Ive never seen a screen peel off before it’s like it wasn’t installed properly.Update- we are getting nowhere at the moment with amazon, they sent us to talk a seller who said they don’t have an order, and each message we send takes over an hour for a response. Very disappointed I thought Amazon renewed meant it would be a decent product.Seller will not help at all, they only will say it’s out of the 90 days. Amazon will not help eitherRenewed products say they repaired to original spec but really they are only repaired to last until 90 days is up. A screen peeling off was not repaired properly.

Not so Good phone
Wasn’t sure first about buying a second hand phone but it works good no problems no issues battery life is great. However I have a update the phone went black on me me just a few days ago. Won’t turn on or anything. Took it to my local phone repair store and was told the main broad was fried and not worth fixing. So close to 300$ phone didn’t even last 8 months. So buy at your own risk.

Broke after dropping it once
12 days after my 90 day return window expired, the refurbished phone stopped working after dropping it once. It was in a rubber protective case, so I wouldn’t expect that to happen.This was the 2nd refurbished Google Pixel 5a 5g that’s stopped working shortly after I purchased… the first one stopped working after just 1 week, so I returned it and got this one that lasted 3 1/2 months. I like the phone otherwise, just not how it quits working (and costing money to replace).

Amazon Renewed Item – This had no cosmetic or functional issues. Seemed like it was brand new. The fast charger that came with it was Samsung branded and the USB cable was bad, but not worth returning it over. It came unlocked and wiped so that startup was like a new phone. Definitely a good value.Overall build and function of the phone is good, as expected. Had done enough research so that there were no surprises.

Everything about this Pixel 5a was flawless
It did take charging it twice before the battery would read 100%. It would not go above 82%, but I just figured that was within the allowable quality, so that’s the way it was. The 2nd day, I took it off of the charger and it was 100%. Easily lasts all day.The screen has no scratches, nor does the back. The phone is perfect and a great deal for the price. Plus it has a headphone jack, which I need so that I can line out to my guitar rig for backing tracks.

I was really looking forward to this phone and it had all I wanted and more but Straight Talk doesn’t allow any 5th gen Pixel on it’s network. If you use one of the main services and don’t need bleeding edge phone this one is good.

Replacement for dropped and broken 5a
This was a replacement Pixel 5a for one that I dropped and broke the screen. Phone was packaged in a different box, but looked new and included the charger and cable. I am glad my broken 5a was backed up to the Google cloud. Transfer of everything from the cloud to my new phone went well, including download of about 100 apps (although some of those required signing in again). Overall, I am pleased with the phone and that the transfer process went so well.

Any time you order a refurbished or renewed item, you expect some wear and tear. This phone was in pretty good shape and holds a decent charge. The only noticeable issue was a scratch that was significant enough I could catch my fingernail on it. However, it hasn’t impacted my use and I rarely notice it now. Happy with the purchase overall.

Motherboard issue
Got this one to replace my 3a. It came in a cardboard box with the phone and a charger. The phones performance was good, everything worked well but it would sometimes overheat. The bttery life was superb. Dropped it once or twice by accident and the screen disconnected but it was fixed easily. A few days ago the screen froze and went black and when I took it to a repair shop they said it was the motherboard. I think it’s a factory defect so I would say get a different pixel if you dont mind the lack of a 3.5 mm jack and the higher price or consider buying from a different brand.

The 5a is a great phone, just know what you’re getting with a “renewed” purchase.
I bought mine in May 2023 in “Good” condition because I don’t care about scuffs and stuff as long as the phone works. And it did! And was actually in pristine condition. Until December, when the antenna bugged out – all of a sudden, overnight, without drop or spill damage, could not receive cell or data service. New SIM, cleared cache, latest update, factory reset… nope, it’s a hardware issue.Mind, this could just be a problem with Pixel 5a’s in general. But also this phone only made it ~7 months. I’m buying another one (renewed, “good” condition) because I’m used to it and it’s generally a good phone and the last of its kind with a headphone jack. Just be aware that you should DEFINITELY get an extended warranty protection plan.

Amazing phone, but the Ui is 🗑️
The media could not be loaded.
The pixel is highly responsiveThe finger prints issues I hear people complain about when talking about the pixel..are nonexistent here. The reader is fast and responsiveThe keyboard is top of the line. I have huge hands,but yet I was able to effectively text without issues. It’s really responsiveThe camera is some of the best I’ve seen.I purchased this phone with the idea of being able to take better pictures and videos and so far the pixel hasn’t disappointed me.The Ui is .. disappointing. It’s uninspired and is as dull as dishwater. In Google’s bid to make something different..they succeeded..they made a Ui that completely lost it’s identity. They seem to have forgotten what makes a Android phone..an Android phone .Android phones are notorious for being customizable.As you can see in that video the swipe down menu with the settings, flashlight, internet looks bland. It’s been done better in other android devices ..like the Moto G Stylo 2021.And that dreaded Google search bar..as you can see I tried to remove it and I can’t .This is the first time I’m using an android device that doesn’t allow me to do that.It’s a small non issue ,but upon using it for the first time, the first thought that entered my mind is to return this phone.Other than that , great phone with a less than average Ui .

On the initial order, the package arrived, but alas no phone was in the package, after contacting seller, they sent another express package and finally the phone arrived. It was spotless (even though used), and works great. We especially like the camera, awesome photos in all kinds of conditions. The phone is fast, responsive, we use the fingerprint feature, and it works great. There is nothing about this phone that we don’t like. FYI both my spouse and I use the exact same Pixel 5a (5G 6GB RAM/128GB Rom), and hope these are around for a long time. They are just the right size (not to big, not to small), fast, great screen, long battery life, tons of room. We really don’t see the need to upgrade to anything ‘newer.’ We plan to continue buying this phone in the future, as long as it is commercially available.

The last best Pixel made
Tried a Pixel 7 for a week, couldn’t stand the on-screen thumb reader, returned it for this Pixel 5a. This is the last one to have a real, hardware fingerprint reader, as well as a 1/8″ headphone jack.Come on Google, bring back the features that make a truly great phone.Impressed with Amazon’s refurb program. This phone was like new, with just a small scuff on one of the back corners (hidden by my rubber case, anyway). I was concerned about getting a used battery with potentially reduced life, but this thing will last for 2 days without charge, with moderate usage.

Phone is fine, charger is worse than stock
The phone seems fine, but the charger and cable are disappointing, lower quality replacements.”Product will come with … a charger and a charging cable”It’s not the charger that originally came with the phone, it’s only 10 watt compared to the original’s 18 watt, so it will charge slower. And the original came with a USB-C to USB-C cable suitable for migrating data from an earlier phone. This one cam with a USB-C to USB-A cable, so if you want to migrate data from an earlier phone, you’ll need to find a C-to-C cable elsewhere.

Such a shame… The experience was almost perfect
I had a thought of wanted to try google pixel phone so here I am. The phone came in literally like a brand new out of the box. Shame that the phone struggled to hold a battery charge and bricked by itself after a simple setup. Called the customer service and they glad to proceed the refund even though i was unable to return the phone because of the shipping fee that cost almost half of the phone
