Cheap feeling
This is our third microwave in 25 years. The last one was eleven years old and just quit one day. This is the one my husband replaced it with. The display is nice – bright and large letters/numbers. The functions are simple and not overdone. But we both agree it just feels and sounds so cheap and we don’t expect this will last 10 years.

DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!
The microwave is horrible. The light underneath is broken does not work. I bought replacement bulbs and they melted! When I went to pull out the bulb one of the prongs broke off in the opening.The door is also crooked.

Keep sending damaged product
This is the 2nd microwave in 1 week, both severely damaged in the back and cannot be mounted due to damaged frame!!

Beware of door handle failure to come
Beware. Another reviewer stated: “The door closing mechanism seems really CHEAP. It has WAY too great tension on the springs that push up on the retaining pins to hold the door shut and the effort to push over the point of release causes it to require far more effort than it should. German Engineering it is NOT.” I have an earlier GE microwave with the same problem and the handle has failed (broken) and been replaced 4 times due to the same reason-excessive spring tension. GE hasn’t learned in all the intervening years and they’ve instructed customer service to say that it’s a rare problem and to replace the handle (which can be done with a good deal of effort). It’s not engineered well.
