GREAT STAND!
This is really a quality item!…well designed & built. I should last until my heirs!It takes less space on my desk than my laptop. It’s very easy to adjust the height and how close to my face the screen will be. There is room beneath it for keyboard & mouse storage. Strong and Steady for Your Laptop

Solid stand, great quality for price
Pros: robustly built, nicely finished (no sharp edges), dead simple to use, remarkably stable, works wellCons: noticeable bounce when typing (if using laptop keyboard)Height adjustment details: max +13″ with keyboard flat—laptop can then be tilted forward to raise the screen further, but this adds an ever increasing amount of tilt to the keyboard. With the screen raised about 15″ from the desk, the keyboard/touchpad become unusable due to the extreme tilt. Absolute max of around +18″ (for the screen) without adding a weight to hold the base. With a weight or clamp to keep it from tilting backward, the stand can actually hold my laptop’s screen about 22″ above my desk.Bought for use with an older 14″ ThinkPad, which is a moderately hefty laptop (4.5 lbs). Intended mainly to raise the screen up & clear space on a very small desk for an external keyboard. For this purpose the stand seems to be nearly perfect (see pros above). I can raise the laptop about 10″ putting the screen at an ergonomic height and the stand’s reasonably small footprint leaves plenty of room for an external keyboard, even on the tiny desk I’m using. So if you’re hoping to raise your laptop screen between 3″ to 18″ buy with confidence—this stand will serve you well.I was also hoping that this stand might double as an inexpensive “standing desk” solution for occasional use. Which means being able to actually type on the laptop while it’s on the stand. It does work reasonably well for this purpose, but there are some shortcomings. To be clear I don’t believe this stand was intended for this purpose nor does the manufacturer make any claims to fulfill this function. As the laptop I’m using is fairly thick by modern standards at ~1″ the ‘L’ brackets that secure the laptop do not interfere with typing. However, for thinner laptops which are common these day, the brackets may be an issue as they will protrude above the edge of your laptop and interfere with your wrists and possibly access to your trackpad. As far as I know they cannot be adjusted or removed. The stand can raise my laptop high enough to put the keyboard at a reasonable typing position for use while standing. The max height with the keyboard flat is only about 12 inches, but with my fairly deep laptop (my keyboard is a full 4″ from the front edge of my laptop) a bit of forward tilt puts keyboard about 14″ above my desk. Where it is reasonably comfortable to use. All this leaves my laptop’s screen too low for ergonomic use—with the center of the screen a full 11″ below eye level. This isn’t ideal for a “standing desk” solution, but is tolerable for occasional use. It should be noted that I am particularly tall, so for tall-ish folks this may not be workable at all. Finally, the laptop does bounce noticeably while typing. While this isn’t significant enough to interfere with typing, it does make reading the screen while typing a bit of a chore. Placing a small weight on the stand’s base does help, but it’s still a noticeable issue.

I LOVE This!
Sturdy and well-made, this stand replaced the thought of getting a standing desk. There is no need for it with this laptop stand. There is no assembly. You do have to exert a bit of force to move any part of it, but that is the way it has to be. Otherwise, it would move on its own.I use this stand for everything: Zoom meetings, streaming, and working on my laptop. There are rubber dots to hold your laptop in place, plus 2 extra. You simply adjust the position of the stand for your purpose. You can adjust the angle of your laptop, or make it level, and you can adjust the height of the stand. In using this stand, I have found that my neck disturbances are gone since I am looking straight ahead all of the time.After I started to use this stand, family members commented on it and thought it was very well designed–which it is. I highly recommend this product for its sturdiness and effectiveness. You absolutely can’t go wrong with it!

Worth it. Just get it.
Don’t waste your time looking at other ones like I did. Just get this one. I have mine raised about 9 inches so that my eyes are near the center of the screen. This allows me to get into a very good ergonomic position. The desk I have it on is fairly light so it vibrates a little bit while I am typing which shows up as slight screen wobble but that’s not the fault of the stand. The only way to reduce desk vibration is to either have a very heavy desk or bolt the desk to the floor. I’ll trade a little bit of screen wobble for good ergonomics every day of the week.

Fantastic product!!!
I bought a massive 17″, ~6.5 lb., gaming laptop and wanted a stand so I’d have more room on my desk (laptop currently sits up on a stand next to my second monitor, which functions as the main monitor in this setup). I originally bought a well reviewed laptop stand from Best Buy that was meant for laptops up to 17″ (which is the size of my laptop). But it clearly wasn’t really meant to handle a laptop of that size. It was super unstable, kept wanting to fall over, and the laptop kept trying to slip off of it.The “LifeLong” stand (ie the one I’m currently reviewing) is a million times better. It’s 100% stable, holds my massive gaming laptop in the perfect place I want it, it doesn’t wiggle or wobble, it’s exactly the product I was hoping for. Even better, they sent a hand written thank you note with the product which was an incredibly nice touch. <3Can't recommend this product enough. It's a premium stand and I couldn't be happier. Buy with confidence. 🙂

I feel better because of this
I bought this stand about a year ago and it’s fantastic. It’s more adjustable than most of its competitors and is stable at a greater height. I used have severe neck and shoulder tension, but’s been greatly improved because of the ergonomics of the stand. It’s very study, and packs up very small, which was important to me because I store it away when I’m not working. I love it.

Bought three already; excellent product
My spouse had neck problems–needed a stand to raise an iPad up. I was teaching online using a MacBook Pro and I wanted more height and an ability to adjust the angle. We now have three around the house in regular use.The design is ideal for iPads and MacBooks. Best Laptop Stand

Grey color has a greenish tint — but the build is solid!
Good quality but the middle Grey color has a pretty ugly greenish tint to it. If you think this is like a MacBook Pro Graphite color — it is most certainly not that. I’d go for a black or silver for a cleaner look. Though I suppose most people won’t be this particular about color, for those more discerning like me, it can be an issue.

Good, expensive, don’t buy the accessories
Good packaging. Compact for the how large it is. The stand is pricey but sturdy, and so far I can see it lasting a long time. The stand holds a Macbook Pro 17 well except at full extension. The weight of the Macbook Pro 17 is heavy enough to make the whole stand fall backwards. If you are using a heavy laptop, then be careful when adjusting the arms to the stand. I spent the extra money for the mini-stand for a tablet and phone at the base of the stand. One of the mini-stands was bent enough that a crease formed. I actually had to fix one arm. It’s as if they didn’t inspect the product or I was sent a product that another customer returned. The crease is deep enough that the metal looks like it could snap off if I wiggle it too much. For the price I paid, I would have expected better build on the min-stands for the tablet and phone. I recommend you do not spend the extra for the mini-stands.

Stellar Product!!!
I purchased this stand on a whim, finally succumbing to my need for one. I spent about five minutes looking and this LIFELONG stand looked solid. My first impressions are very positive. The stand was packed nicely and securely in its box upon arrival. It arrived, clean and new. I was stunned by the flexibility of the stand in terms of positions. It has a very easy button to push so that you can raise the height. I put the stand on my island in my kitchen and raised it enough so that I could stand looking straight into my laptop. I’m 6 foot. I was also surprised by the solid build of this stand. I mean this is rock solid metal and it looks like it will hold up for a very long time. The hardware in regard to the hinges is also super solid and I’m a hobby carpenter so I appreciate that. It held my laptop very securely. The wings for putting an iPad or your phone are also built very solid and I found them already to be very useful. I can’t find a thing wrong with this stand and I tend to be able to find usually something to be critical of a product. I would strongly recommend it. It was worth every penny! Super impressed with this product. I might just buy another!

Awesome, and heavy duty laptop stand!
This laptop stand is something I had purchased for my teaching job so I cut out that hunching and looking down stuff. It’s very sturdy, and almost needed persuaded to move into the ideal position, however after working with it for about half a year now, it’s held up great. It takes up minimal room in my teaching backpack and though it’s got a little heft to it there is no inconvenience for better posture. Thank you to this small business for making such a fine product! I love it!

Sturdy and good for the price.
I bought this to use with my MacBook Pro since my desk is a bit low and my neck hurts from looking down all the time. It’s very hard for me to maneuver(?) as it is so stiff, but that just tells me that my MacBook Pro’s weight will not make the stand budge and will stay still on top of the stand. I wanted to dock a star but didn’t because it’s probably my fault as I believe I purchased the black one but mine looks a bit like forest green. No issue with the product at all, it just doesn’t match the color scheme I have going on on my desk.

Sturdy & Simple to use

I found this laptop stand through a review site. I got it to use at work. I like that it’s stiff. I use a computer dock at work, and a second monitor. With this stand, I can adjust the height of the laptop screen to be level with the second monitor.

Great product for students!
I bought this for my daughter to start college. Laptops are a wonderful technology, but they don’t encourage good posture for working, especially for long periods of time. I went to college as an adult, and I didn’t really have a good space to do my school work. It didn’t take long for me to start having pain in my neck, shoulders, and back. I toughed it out because of limited finances. I really didn’t want my daughter to have the same problems, so it became a priority that she have a more ergonomic design for her work space, especially since her first semester in college is online. For those who are interested in buying this product for the same reasons, I want to point out that I also bought a wireless keyboard and mouse, so that the laptop screen could be maintained at eye level while typing at the appropriate angles. Fortunately, it’s not difficult to find some really affordable options on Amazon. This product is very affordable, and even taking into consideration the additional cost of the keyboard and mouse, a person would spend a lot less than on its counterparts, which cost, at a minimum, in the few hundred dollars or more range. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who spends a lot of time working on their computers.

Hands down, best Laptop Stand I ever bought
I have purchased many laptop stands even those trying to save some space, those laptop mounting arms for the desk. This one beat all of them! The capacity and flexibility is amazing! Great quality and extremely sturdy. The mountings for Tablet and phone at the foot piece can be removed if needed. The stiffness can be adjusted by loosening/tightening screws (tools included in the box), even for smaller 13 inch laptops it is fine as it offers two additional rubber feet (included in the box) that you can stick to the stand to cover the back bottom of your laptop.I have 13, 14, 15 and 17 inch laptops and it works for all of them, Thank you for such a great product!

Man of Steel turned into a laptop stand!
Absolutely love this beast of a laptop stand! After working from home for years, it was time to upgrade the home office, while staving off uncreasing back pain. I wanted a sturdy laptop stand so that I could work more, while standing. Providence shined upon me. This bad boy can hold a small child (only slight exaggeration). Seriously though, I can easily adjust the height and angle of the stand. My laptop isn’t going anywhere. The quality is fantastic! It’s like The Man of Steel was turned into a laptop stand. I don’t work in the city, but it could probably double as body armor if I needed to go downtown. Love this item! Look, it wouldn’t be a sexy gift, but if you have a friend in desperate need of a laptop stand at home/work, this beast shows them how much you love them. Excellent product! 5 stars all the way!

Color is a little off, but firm and well-built. It’s bouncy however when you type on the laptop.
I saw this on Wirecutter and got it primarily as a standing desk alternative that I could place on a table… and while the stand is very sturdy at the base and feels very solid on its own, if you type on your laptop while it’s on the stand, it bounces around because of the hinge design. I might have missed this from the reviews, but I guess it’s not as sturdy as a stand that has at least another point of support to keep the cantilevered end from bouncing. There’s too much movement and you may get dizzy when you read while typing on the laptop, so I’d recommend using it with an external keyboard that rests on your table instead of typing on the laptop keyboard itself. It’s otherwise built well. The hinges are tight and the heavy weight is excellent.Also, I got the “gray” model that is actually bluish and not a neutral gray, so it doesn’t match my gray MacBook. If I had known it was going to look bluish-gray I think I would’ve gotten the black stand instead, but I needed a stand asap so I think I’ll just keep it.

Well-made. Slightly large for my MacBook Air 13”
I was using a Rain Design mStand (Wirecutter’s Budget Pick) but wanted a taller stand, so I went with this one (Wirecutter’s Also Great). This stand is definitely very solid, a premium product. My only quibble is that it turned out to be slightly large for my MacBook Air 13” (see photo). It still works but it looks a little silly, and perhaps it will be easier to scratch my laptop since the rubber bumpers aren’t in the right place.

Too short for those 5’ 10” or taller
I purchased due to the very good reviews but returned it after 2 days. Here is why. First, the purpose of a stand is to elevate your laptop to allow you to work while standing. When standing, your head should be able to look across laterally, not downward. This stand advertises it elevates 21”, but that is simply not enough for a person, like me, who is 5’10” tall because my head was still pointing downward to see the screen. The second issue is a lack of sturdiness; the stand shakes when you type on the laptop keyboard. (I am using a 14” ultralight Dell Latitude). I am not a heavy person (weigh 150 lbs), yet the laptop shook when typing. Perhaps it is just that I am used to a very sturdy and larger standing desk riser at work, but this riser did not rise high enough and was too wobbly.

I had been literally using a magnifying glass to see some emails. This is the best thing humanly possible for me. I also bought these sheets that are size of piece of paper that are magnifiers and just lays over the laptop screen.Loving this.

Not just a laptop stand
I have had this laptop stand for two years and I still love it! It is incredibly easy to adjust the height and angle, I can even adjust it while using it. It is heavy, and when flat is a couple of inches tall, but I do travel with it for longer trips.I use it for my laptop and to prop up textbooks while reading. When cooking using an online recipe I use the stand on the counter to bring the screen to standing height. I also used it as a food dish stand when my dog became ill. For 6 months I used it to elevate and tilt her bowl. Prolonged food and water exposure did not affect the stand (I did use a towel to protect it but food and water still got on it). I was able to wipe it clean and now I am back to using it as a laptop stand.

Works perfectly for laptops or electronic music controllers…
I bought this hoping that the base would fit under my monitor riser and it would let me angle a MIDI instrument controller just below my monitor. It works perfectly!It’s very sturdy and well made; you adjust it using the provided allen key wrench, position it the way you want, tighten down the bolts. and you’re good to go. No wobbling, no slipping, and much more flexible than the fixed laptop stands I’ve used before.Well worth the purchase. If I need another, I know where to get one.

Very sturdy but heavy.
Recently I needed an extra workstation area in another room away from my main desk for my laptop. Using a TV table was messing up my posture as these tables are too low for my height. But that was the only possible table size for the space. And it has to be a small table that can get folded. Regular laptop stands don’t add enough height so I decided to try this one after seeing many positive reviews for it.So the first thing that I noticed is the weight of the stand. It’s quite heavy but that’s good as we don’t want a stand that’s prone to tipping over. The second is how stiff the joints are, not easy to adjust. But that good also as the stand should be able to resist the pressure of continuous typing on the keyboard. Once I got the stand adjusted for the laptop, working on the TV table became comfortable and easy on the posture.However the height and weight of the stand with the laptop on it isn’t what your standard TV table is built for. The table I’m using is wobbly, not dangerously wobbly, but wobbly enough to make typing a bit distracting. Using other apps that don’t require lots of typing are fine. I’m sure a good sturdy desk won’t have this problem.One drawback is if you want to store the stand without collapsing it flat again (which isn’t easy anyway), it does take up a bit of storage space.I’m happy that I have it, a real back saver.

Endless adjustment options
This stand is more useful in my opinion than the fixed-shape stands. I bought both this one and one of the fixed shapes and I find that having the ability to move the laptop closer or farther is very useful. The fixed stand position is not ideal for everyone. It’s good but sometimes you want the screen a little closer, higher or lower. This stand allows for those minute adjustments. It’s incredibly well made; as others said, adjusting the platforms takes some effort but that’s good because it won’t move or wobble. The close/far adjustment is different, it’s a switch that opens and closes to allow the distance axis to move without the strenuous effort of the arm adjustments. Great looking on your desk and so incredibly flexible and well made. A+

Just What I Needed!
I love this laptop stand so much that I’ll be ordering another one for my upstairs home office. Not only is it sturdy, just the right size, and usable, it’s exactly what I needed to get myself from sitting too much and work while standing and stretching out. this stand is solid, sturdy, and will certainly hold up to being used as a “standing desk” laptop holder (when used on top of a desk). Worth every penny…not flimsy and holds my macbook pro just fine. Any contact points where my laptop touches the stand has nonslip pads…extra pads and tool come included if stand should ever require a minor tightening. Great Product!

Ergonomic and nice aesthetic, with options of standing or sitting
I rely on Wirecutter for product reviews, especially for items like this. This item ranked close to the top. I am pleased with all the possibilities of positioning it to fit sitting or standing.The only criticisms (noted both in Wirecutter and elsewhere) are that at its highest point it is a little wobbly but for me, I would probably use that position most for presenting and not so much for typing. It also is a little tight and hard to adjust from low to high. You will want to take your laptop off the stand for anything more than minor adjustments.I got the version with the cell phone stand. In the pics it looks like these extend outward in length but the version I have doesn’t; it pivots only from the base. Note that the stand has to be in “standing” mode to use this feature or else there’s not enough space for the phone to be upright. Still, I like that ability to prop my phone up, clearing up even more desk space.Generally, I’m happy with this purchase and definitely recommend!

Great Product
This LifeLong laptop stand was what I needed. I was getting unbelievable shoulder pain from long-term use of hunching over/looking down at my laptop screen. Now, I am sitting up straighter and not hunching down as I used to. My shoulder pain went away once I got this LifeLong laptop stand.The laptop stand is very sturdy/strong. On first use, I couldn’t open the laptop stand to its position without some force. Once you get the perfect height, it will stay in that position. The LifeLong laptop stand works great for my laptop. However, when typing, the laptop stand does wobble a bit. I recommend anyone getting this stand get a wireless/wired keyboard and mouse to make life easier. Not to mention, LifeLong is a small family business, so if you want to support small businesses, the LifeLong laptop stand is the way to go. Great price, value and usability
I was a bit skeptical about the product especially as one of its features said ‘ lightweight’. I am so glad I decided to give it a chance. For one,I was just moving into a new location where I had to hit ter ground running, ready for video conferencing. I was able to open the packaging I had travelled with, and there was nothing to assemble. It comes already fitted together. My laptop is large and so I wondered whether it would hold on to the slant, with just the small circular pads it comes with. While pads were not enough to hold the laptop at the lowest tilt, the tilt it allows for that size of computer, gives you a comfortable angle to use for video for also using the keyboard. The slant, was also right for screen video calling although you can adjust the height, for effect and individual heights. . I loved the fact that its also an easy push to pull up to adjust the height, and then slight push forward for choice of angle slant. Thanks for this product.

Top notch build and versatility
I bought this after reading the glowing review on Wirecutter. I only wish I could have bought this 10 years earlier. I have an ergonomically excellent desk setup in my office, but I still like to work on my laptop at home. As someone who is 6’3″, that’s meant being stooped over for hours at a time, year after year. The Lifelong stand has been a game changer. With the benefit of a wireless mouse and keyboard, I can suddenly work at home on my laptop with my laptop screen at eye level. Construction of the stand is top notch, and stability only becomes an issue if you extend the stand to its extreme heights. But even for someone who’s 6’3″, that’s going too far. In short, I can’t possibly recommend this enough. It’s worth every penny and clearly built to last a lifetime… or lifelong.

I’m using it it for my MPC One
I bought this for my MPC One. I needed something that would angle the MPC up past 45 degrees and still be stable enough to finger-drum. I’ve adjusted the stand so that the bottom of the lip curvature that holds the MPC also rests against the table and that’s how I’m able to get the stability I needed. It’s really well made, adequately solid, really nice quality and nice to look at and best of all it does exactly what I need. If for some reason I decide not to use it for the mpc, I know it will be a superior stand for any other device I choose. It’s a good piece of equipment and I believe I made a very good choice when I chose this one.

Extremely Sturdy and Solid Laptop stand
I found this laptop stand to be extremely sturdy and solid meeting just about all my requirements. The various adjustments are awesome. This stand is built so solid that I bet it will last a lifetime. I would only make one suggestion because of a misfortunate accident I had while placing my Microsoft Surface pro laptop on it. I was pushing my laptop back on the stand and somehow pushed the back over the edge of the stand. The screen part disengaged from the keyboard and fell like 4 feet to the floor cracking my screen. It was totally my fault and not the stand. So my suggestion would be to have extenders in the back or some kind of support that would guard against a laptop flipping over. I improvised something with a cheap metal thin stand I had which has a back and then placing that on top of the Lifelong stand. This works out perfect for me and I will never have that happen to me again. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this stand and would highly recommend it. If it could be improved with the back support for possible future iterations, that would make it perfect for me.

Very sturdy and great quality
The stand is very sturdy, I’ve been using it for two years now and it hasn’t lost any of the ability to hold my MacBook Pro 13 inch. It never wobbles, you can adjust it to the perfect position and can really raise the laptop significantly. My only complaint would be about how much force is needed to adjust the positions but that’s probably why it’s able to hold the laptop remaining sturdy and not collapse. I was using it the first year at home so I only had to do it once to fit my home office setup. Lately, I was trying to use it for travel and having to readjust regularly become a bit exhausting but I love it nonetheless and would definitely recommend as a great quality product.

No more neck strain
I purchased a new Macbook Pro 16″, as a replacement for a 10 year old iMac as the OS could no longer be updated and would not support and run newer software. I’ve never been a big laptop fan because one must typically look downward, thus lots of neck pain due to hours of neck strain. This laptop stand totally solved my problem. While there are many other options for ergonomic stands out there, most of them are limited in height adjustment. I needed one that would be able to go up about 12-20 inches so I could look straight at the monitor and avoid neck strain. This one totally fit the bill. I can still use my wireless external keyboard and mouse from my iMac and adjust the stand to where I’m looking straight at the monitor in my home desktop environment. This stand is well designed and made, good looking, sturdy, and bonus: portable and light. I can grab my laptop with peripherals plus stand and take them wherever my travels take me.

Should have order sooner!
I don’t normally write reviews, but I Love my new Ergonomic Laptop Stand For Desk! It is super sturdy and will last a long time! My back is thanking me. I bought it for the standing desk option, but I also like that I can angle my computer when I’m sitting down so I don’t have to look down hunched over. Do yourself a favor and order it!
