    Somewhat eeh..

I see the rainbow effect from DLP, so I bought this. No rainbow effect on this.Overall okay picture, but a little lack of contrast than DLP.It has no optical zoom or lens shift at all, so it’s a bit difficult to install especially if you install this in the ceiling.Fan noise was okay with bright cinema mode. if you go full brightness, it’s noisy.Brightness is good. So Bright picture. You might want to lower the lamp brightness lower than cinema mode in the regular room setting. The main reason I returned this projector is the high-frequency beeping noise from the projector body every 3 or 4 seconds. Everyone in my family heard it, so it’s not only me.

Zoom and Keystone leave visible border!!

It’s a pity. This projector is very bright and has a sharp image. I would normally be pleased, but it lacks some very basic functionality that ruins it. The keystone and zoom are only digital, which leaves a very noticeable border around the picture! Basically it just shrinks and morphs the picture to be sized and square, but the original border is still visible. So unless your projector is perfectly centered in the middle of the room, you’re going to have that. Setting it on a table or mounting near the ceiling is not really an option, unless you don’t care about the border.

Picture quality and brightness is awesome! The zoom is good

I love the picture quality and brightness. One issue I find that kind of annoying is when you click on the return tab sometimes it doesn’t work right away; you have to click on it a few times. Apart from that I am really enjoying this Epson projector. Also a white projector screen works great with the projector. I would recommend this projector👍

    I’m projecting

Love this thing. Been using it for six months. Just plug in my Firestick (connected to a bluetooth surround sound system) and stream away. Two tips, though:1. There is a small air filter inside a hatch that I hadn’t noticed (didn’t read instructions well enough). Going to clean it regularly now.2. Figure out how to invert the image, prior to mounting it to a ceiling mount. It was a PAIN to navigate menus upside down and backwards.

Great picture quality. Ample adjustments available.

No point in taking picture of a projector picture. The picture is clear. Currently have it at 100′ horizontal screen. Enough adjustment settings to make a straight picture. If you’re considering one of the $200 projectors here, please consider this at $499… Because you won’t be disappointed. The other projectors have one or more issues that makes them inferior to this one.If you’re looking for as many features as possible, then the budget ones might fit the bill. But I guarantee that you’ll be sacrificing the picture quality.

This projector is much louder than my previous ones

Out of the projectors I’ve used, this was the only one that was noisy (fan and iris adjustment) to a degree that it was distracting. Even with a speaker system playing, we can still hear the fan and auto-adjusting iris during movies. I’m still looking for solutions online but so far this just seems to be normal for this unit. I’ll likely be returning and replacing this with a quieter model if we can’t get used to it.

    Great Product

I needed an 80” television and it turned out that a home theater projector was more cost effective. I was blown away by the picture of this Epson projector. I found the Apple TV screensaver videos to be stunning and with great HD quality. I have always had great experiences with Epson projectors in my K12 classrooms and it is a trustworthy brand. It is a great buy that you won’t be disappointed with.

Ended up returning it because it’s too bright at night.

The picture quality is marvelous when i project a 200″ white wall, however, It’s so bright (even all brightness setting to lowest possible) that actually does more harm than good, at least during time in dark room. I am sure this projector shine in daytime but i watch movie at night 80% of the time. I ended up returning it and replaced it with a Toptro X1, which works perfectly for my need and save myself a few hundred bucks.

Nice projector with a very clear picture. Can be “zoomed” over a reasonable range so the image fits the screen without having to have the projector at exactly the right distance.

    Better Than We Expected

We bought this projector to watch movies outside. I was worried it would not be bright enough, but that is not an issue. We have used it twice on an inflatable screen. We used it behind the screen and it was wonderful. It was bright, crisp, and easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

    Disappointed.

I’ve wanted a high quality projector for my room for a while now and finally decided to splurge and get myself one. I’ve been using a cheap $100ish mini projector up until this point, so I was expecting big things from a $500 projector.Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The projector is loud, the video quality is grainy- on par with my $100 one, the projector itself does not sit up straight, requiring me to put a small object underneath one of its legs to balance it correctly so it isn’t distorted.I don’t usually make purchases this large and I am utterly disappointed at what I’ve splurged on. If I was not outside the refund date I would give it back in a heart beat. I thought going for a name brand like EPSON would be a no brainer, but I was wrong and I am paying the cost.

Broke and no one can fix it!

We use our projector very regularly. This broke after only 2 years. Getting an error message about the internal iris and to call for support. When I call the number on the bottom of the projector, the nearest repair shop is about 3 hours from me. I’ve asked everywhere locally and no one is able to repair for me. Had I known this would be a problem, I would have gone with another brand. I spent a lot of money. This is very frustrating.

Good projector but it has a few bugs

I have several Epson projectors very similar to this one. We’ve used Epson because they are affordable and good for commercial use.I bought this projector because it has a USB port where you can plug a wireless adapter in. I have an Epson wireless adapter made for Epson Projectors; however, the projector will not detect the wireless adapter. Also the remote is glitch in the remote. It double clicks many times when you only tap once. I’m going to see if I can get one that does not have these issues.

perfect projector for someone wanting an upgrade ‘resolution quality’ from the cheaper 100 dollar portable. not 4k but definitely good even just on a bare wall. not loud. easy setup. love the aux port for external speakers, which is a must in my opinion. ive always been a middle row guy, dont want cheap but dont want expensive and this projector is that, good quality at a not cheap but not expensive price.

    Lacked aspect ratio flexibility

We used this for c. 1 week. The main problem is that it did not have any aspect ratio controls. The ratio it came with was 16/9 and you’re stuck with that, so any DVDs (4/3) look like they need to go on a diet and the circles are ovals. This was not clear in the literature. Also, the focus was not finely tuned, partly because it just doesn’t produce really crisp, clear images, but also because the manual focus level was too crude for the finest of focus. And also after a few minutes of operation it goes out of focus and needs to be readjusted. Sure, the keystone and zoom features are outstanding, but how many times during the lifetime of the unit are you going to change these? Got a refund after 3 weeks.

    Conflicted;

The projector has great image quality but the contents of the package don’t match the description. It doesn’t connect to wifi and has no OS so it’s only use is with an hdmi connection. The audio is also not usable but I didn’t expect much from it either, however the image quality is Great. So my recommendation is GET IT but expect to use it with a sound bar & hdmi connection.

Worst product I ever bought.. done with Epson. This thing hangs like nothing I have seen before.

I don’t have anything good to say if this product. I am done with Epson. Image sucks.. Turns off intermittently. Hard to fit in a 100 inch screen in a room. No bluetooth wireless except through the dongle that hangs like crazy. No audio port to use external speakers if you have multiple devices. Just a piece of crap. Do not buy this at all. Now I thought this product was good so I threw away the box it came with. Need to talk to Amazon to see how I can resolve this. Oh man. Just never been this disappointed ever.

Wow, well worth it. Stay away from the $200 budget projectors if you have a $500 budget for Epson.

At first, I tried to save money and bought 2 budget projectors $200 below but they were just ok:- 7200 Lux Projector, WiMiUS Newest P20 (small projected picture, not intuitive controls such as how to focus, no physical buttons for volume, keystone)- JIFAR Native 1920x 1080P Projector,7500 Lumens (3.5mm audio jack buzzes, no physical buttons for volume)RECOMMENDATION: Although the Epson 880 has 3300 lumens (fewer than the Jifar and Wiimius), it appears 5 times brighter, has more colors, 50 degrees horizontal and vertical keystone adjustments, smaller/lighter than the 2 budget projectors that I mentioned.CON:- Does not come with a case.- fan blows warmer than a projector with an LED lamp- Contrast ratio of 16k:1 does not meet HDR at 20k:1

    Life changing

I don’t write many reviews but this Epson projector has changed my world. If you’ve never experienced watching tv & movies on a projector and your’e on the fence, do it. I spend hours and hours at night watching this projector wondering why I didn’t buy one sooner. Some background and thoughts — I had initially gotten excited about Ultra Short Throw projectors and even high end laser projectors. I thought maybe in a few years, I’ll get one because the price would be $3-6K with a screen. But why not have something inexpensive and fun now? This projector is a fraction of the cost of the laser projectors, you can get a good screen for about $200, connect to a streaming device like an Apple TV, and use a nice bluetooth speaker in the front of your room. All for under $1000. Yes, this uses a traditional bulb, yes it will be replaced some day but at a rate of 3 or 4 hours a night and an expected lamp life of 6000 hours, this won’t be soon.I used an inexpensive cloth screen but it’s caused the image to lose brightness and sharpness. I’ve bought a nicer screen, I’m waiting to take delivery. Don’t skimp on the screen. Even the wall had better sharpness and color than this $25 screen. Now how does this rate to an OLED? It doesn’t. An OLED has hands down better clarity, colors, contrast, and black levels. Yet, I now prefer to watch this for 99% of my evening viewing just due to the size and also the cinematic qualities of a projector and how movie like it appears. I love my OLED, but even a 120″ OLED wouldn’t have the same cinematic feel we’re all used to from real cinemas. Now what are the cons?1. Iris noise — the iris is something which mechanically changes to let more light out. It sounds like a hard disk seeking noise, click, click, click. With loud movies, you don’t heard it. I suspect if you mount the projector a bit away from you, you might not notice. I almost wanted to return the projector for this but I’ve resigned to live with it because I like the projector that much.2. You need to mount the projector at a precise distance to fill the screen. So you need some flexibility in placement. Too close, you won’t get your large picture. Too far, the image might be bigger than your screen. I think the higher end projectors might have some optical zoom capability, I don’t know I’m still learning.3. Being a front projection system, if you need to output HDMI signals to a home theater receiver in the front of the room, you’ll need to consider how to send that signal with a long HDMI cable and how to route it. The UST projectors don’t have this issue, they are already in front. In summary, you couldn’t take this projector away from me. It’s my first and probably not my last based on the sheer joy. Don’t let the low price fool you, it’s actual a good projector and Epson’s 3LCD system is unique and works very good for motion, no rainbow effect like DLP projectors.Hope that helps someone out there.Paired it with an Elite Screens 120″ screen. Don’t cheap out on the screen, I got a cheap cloth and the images were so soft and washed out. There are still times when the picture is so good, I think it’s a tv. The new version of this projector doesn’t have the mounting holes… no idea why Epson omitted this but how would you mount it???6 month update:- I still LOVE this projector. People who see it can’t believe their eyes, that it’s projection and they aren’t watching a giant 120″ tv.- If I had to do it again, I’d find a projector that had lens shift and zoom. Lens shift would let you mount the projector higher up or lower down and still have a nice square perfect image. Zoom would let you zoom in/out the picture without moving the projector.- Some of the other projectors have built in smart tv / Android, etc. You will need a streaming device to pair with this.- You can pair a bluetooth speaker to the streaming device for wireless speaker to the front of your room.- I don’t see any motion blur at all with this projector, it’s better than my LCD & OLED (with motion smoothing turned off).- Still super happy for what it is. Spend the money on an Elite Screen, $250 or $275 sounds like a lot but once you get this all setup, you won’t regret it.

    Great for Backyard Movies

I could not be happier with this projector. I bought it for backyard movie and football nights with my family. I don’t know anything about projectors but knew I wanted to (a) start movies before sunset (small kids with early-ish bedtimes), (b) stream movies and TV, and (c) easily set up and take down the projector. And of course I didn’t want to spend a gazillion dollars. This little projector hits all of my goals. It is, honestly, a bit hard to see the picture while the sun is setting, even using a screen, but it’s good enough for my family. Otherwise, the picture is really bright and clear and looks awesome. The built-in speakers are pretty good, and it was easy connecting a Bluetooth speaker for a birthday party movie night. The streaming stick is great — I love that it’s housed in the projector casing, making it easy to keep together. Set up and take down couldn’t be easier. The automatic adjusting key has worked great at various heights. I really don’t think I could have made a better choice for the money. My only complaint is that my remote control for the projector itself seems to not work right. But I assume I got a lemon, and I can control most things with the streaming stick remote, so even that really hasn’t been a problem.

    Great projector for the price

Our trusty Epson PowerLite 3010 projector died after almost 10 years of heavy use. Since we’ll be moving to another house within a year and don’t know what kind of space we’ll have there for a home theater, we decided to the get the least-expensive decently rated projector we could find. The Epson Home Cinema 880 at $600 seems to be the entry-level equivalent of the 3010, which was $1,400 in 2012 (which was a bargain then). My five-star rating is based on the value for the price and isn’t meant to compare it with more-expensive projectors.First, the 880 is a lot smaller and lighter than the 3010. The team that installed the 3010 used a universal ceiling mount, so swapping out the projectors was easy. The 3010 was attached by four bolts, whereas the 880 uses three. If you’re replacing a projector, make sure your existing mount will work. The zoom range is much longer on the 880. We have a 120″ projection screen, which is about 12′ from the projector. At that distance, the maximum image size of the 3010 was 120″. When I turned on the 880, the image would have covered a 150″ screen. It took me a while to adjust the zoom and keystoning, but I eventually got it right. The 880’s fan seems slightly louder than the 3010’s. I’ve gotten used to it, but I was aware of it for the first couple weeks, whereas I don’t recall being aware of the 3010’s fan unless nothing was playing on the speakers. Projector mode is set to ECO, which I read makes the fan quieter. The 880’s brightness is 3300 lumens, whereas the 3010’s was 2200. Here’s the catch: In Bright Cinema mode, the image is easily viewable in a well-lit room, even during the day with the curtains open. However, the fan is EXTREMELY loud — almost as loud as our microwave oven. It’s unusable for us. In regular Cinema mode, the brightness seems comparable to the 3010’s brightness — beautiful in a darkened room, but washed out in a fully lit room. The color is gorgeous. I think the image is sharper than the 3010’s. At a 12′ viewing distance, I can see the pixels, but it’s not so much as to be distracting. I couldn’t see the pixels on the 3010.The 880 doesn’t do 3D, if that’s a concern for you. We have a handful of 3D Blu-ray Discs, including a couple of spectacular ones like Avatar. Moving up to to a 3D projector would have added several hundred dollars to the price, which wasn’t in our budget. That also would have gotten us a 4K projector (the 880 is 1080P), but our system is wired with HDMI 1.4 cabling, which doesn’t support 4K.In short, the 880 is a solid choice if you’re looking for a low-priced projector. In our next house, we’ll probably upgrade to a 4K projector that includes 3D, and of course we’ll need to have our system wired with HDMI 2.1 cabling.

    Amazing quality and brightness

The media could not be loaded.

I love the fact that you can adjust the picture vertically and horizontally. You can also zoom in and out to crop the picture. The only thing you cannot do is resize the picture image with the border as well so even if you shrink the picture you will still see the black light from the original size which can be annoying for some people but I do not mind it personally. One thing that also bothers me is that even. If you connect a Bluetooth device like a sound bar, whenever you turn on the projector again, even if the device is still connected you will have to manually disconnect and reconnect the device (pretty easy to do but it’s annoying that I have to do this every time) or you will only have sound coming from the projecter itself.Other than this, the picture quality is great and the brightness is also perfect to me because I can still watch my shows and series with daylight coming through the blinds as well as the lights being on.The software that comes with the projector in order to watch your streaming shows pre enabled or also smooth and there’s no lag so far.

Great projector… If you don’t want to ceiling mount it.

Picture is crisp, bright, and clear. Setup is a breeze. The fan’s a little loud, but not ridiculously so (more on that in a minute), and the form factor is pretty portable, if not nearly as portable as some of the modern pico-projectors. The price to quality ratio is excellent. So: why a 3 star review? Because the hardware/case designers nerfed a key feature even though the software and tech team included all the elements to make it work.As you can see from my photos, the projector’s menu includes the option to run upside down, projecting from either the front or the back. It literally says “ceiling” for that setting once you’ve chosen it. And it does a great job of it, automatically getting the keystone pretty close, with easy adjustments from there. But there are **no mounting holes for setting it up on a ceiling mount**. WTF?That means that it’s a mediocre option at best for setting up a home cinema (ceiling mounting both gets the visual clutter out of the way, and gets the fan noise up and away from you), or for use in a classroom or conference room setting where you might not want sticky fingers getting a hold of your $500+ machine.I could hypothesize about why Epson decided not to include ceiling mounting holes; they certainly have plenty of holes in the bottom. But ultimately, the why doesn’t matter; all you’ve got to know is, if you want to set this up on the floor or on a table in front of you, or bring it along with you to parties or presentations, it’s great. If you want to ceiling mount it, not a possibility.Boo. 👎👎Epson team, if you’re reading this, please fix this issue in your next revision. Meanwhile, I’m packing up what would otherwise be an awesome purchase for return, and trying to figure out if there’s a competing product worth buying.

    This is the ONE

So I wanted an projector for outdoor movie nights. First time researching and using. Based on amazon reviews I started with a sub $200 unit with top reviews. Could not get a good focus and wasn’t as bright as the numbers claimed. Off brand so wasn’t expecting too much, but this just did not work. had to return due to the focus issues. Then went with a $400 smart projector. Again amazing reviews and ratings. Still wasn’t very bright and the claim of being 1080. I couldn’t believe how unimpressed I was. But I thought maybe it was just how all projectors are. Returned because actually got a used unit as someone else account was still logged into the Netflix app. Decided I needed to get a known brand and spend a little more money. EPSON has always been reviewed well and after reading online reviews this unit came up often. WOW. is all I can say. so much better and brighter than the other 2 units I tried. Even if ANSI and lumens rated same or even lower. This thing lite up the whole room and easily seen in daylight. And the ability to manually focus to a clear and sharp 1080 resolution is amazing. I am so so happy with this projector. Been watching inside on my wall regularly now and not just for outdoor movie night!

Great bright performance in a great looking design. No ceiling mounts? Android TV launch hiccup?

First things first, this is a great looking unit. Elegant, clean, diminutive. And it is bright, with great color even mid day in my office with lots of sunlight coming in the open windows (not direct though). And I am still projecting on the wall, I haven’t even had a chance to mount the screen yet :). The projector is pretty simple to use and work out, which is great. There is just one hdmi in, but that is fine with me since I am connecting to my receiver, and that keeps even the input plug hidden under a door to keep this clean design. I really appreciate the effort to make it look this good and perform this well. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.A few nits of course:- Ceiling mount: It does not seem to have ceiling mount points? I have a ticket out to Epson and will also ask a question about this on Amazon questions after I finish this review. If it really doesn’t have any, and the Epson mount I just bought on Amazon also is not going to work, Epson needs to make that very clear as it is important to know about. No mention of it on Amazon or Epson.com at time of writing, though a third party reseller listed it as universal mount, but I think that must have been presumptive or default??? Maybe a 3rd party will come out with a mount for it as it is so compact and clean, I would rather have it on my ceiling than most other big projectors.- 2 Remotes to power up, 1 down: To turn it on with the included Android tv dongle attached, you have to push power on the infrared Epson remote and only then can you power up the Android tv with its separate remote. I get that one is infrared and one is rf, but this is really awkward including two separate remotes, neither of which can even power the other one on. The builders did make it so when you power down the Android TV, the projector shuts down too, which is convenient.- Can’t log in to Advanced Protection Google account on the included dongle Android TV. I think this will get fixed, and I will come back and edit it. I think it is probably just a launch hiccup where an API token didn’t get persisted correctly or something between a couple different calls, but right now I can not log in to my Google account because I have advanced protection turned on. So if like me you work for a place that uses a hardware key to access your google account from a new device, you might have to wait for this to get fixed before you can log into google play on the Android TV dongle. All in all, a really nice little unit. Nice bright performance and great color. And considering these things tend to hang out in plain sight on your ceiling (if I can get it mounted there :), both the super clean lines and design as well as the tiny size and weight are pretty amazing at this price point. It is actually so small and clean it almost warrants a new ceiling mount bracket that hides the two connection wires inside a tiny post since it weighs so little. All in all an easy keeper and would have been 5 star if I could log in and there was a ceiling mount workaround. If I could 4.5 star it I would 🙂

Too complicated; does not recognize USB stick

I wanted a very high-quality projector to project still images. Just that-no movies, no streaming, just pix. Not all digital projectors have a USB input, but this one does, so I plug in my USB and it says “no signal”. I went online and looked at the manual, and under “no signal” it says “plug your laptop or streaming device into the projector”. So you can’t just put a USB stick in and expect it to work. Now I have to return it. Even when I press the remote “input” it says “this function not available” or something like that. It expects everyone to plug a computer or android stick into it to watch TV. The USB port is actually for the streaming media player stick it comes with; it is not for you to plug a USB stick into. Too complicated for me, but it should not be. I’m just trying to do a simple thing. I already see other projectors will allow for USB input and immediately allow you to open files and project them. Why not this??

Im very happy I went this route.I did alot of research on which projector I should get with a price point of between $500-$1k.Full HD 1080P and 3000 lumens is more than enough for my family to watch outdoors for an afternoon movie night. The pictures and video were taken today indoors around 2:30p and its bright inside my living room.Android TV is awesome. Connected to wifi and I just logged in and played youtube TV in minutes.Tested chromecast and it works. Added this to my google home setup. You can download apps: disney, youtubeTV, VLC, netflix etc…Perfect for halloween holographic projections. Will use this to project Halloween videos from atmosfx.Wish lists:Included android TV dongle was separate- i wish it was built-in then I can have a free HDMI input available. The included android dongle is connected to the only HDMI input.Or… keep the dongle separated but at least give us two HDMI portsEither scenario would work better.Only one 5W speaker- two speakers would be better. But if you are adding an external bluetooth speaker then this does not matter.I wish there was just one remote. This package came in with two remotes. One for the projector and one for the android tv dongle.(advantage of separate android TV dongle) Now im thinking that the dongle is separated and you can use this and connect to your TV instead if projector was not working. Or connect to any other projector.Full integration of Google android TV and Epson projectors would be best scenario in my opinion.Overall happy with this purchase! 5-Stars!This was just recently released in September 2022. (Last month) so you are getting the lastest and newest model.I highly recommend this model from Epson if you have a budget of less than $1k.Dont buy the other projectors on amazon that are less than $200 since they are not reliable in terms of actual ANSI lumens and not reliable if its a full 1080P.1080P is good enough because theres not much 4k available from youtubeTV netflix or amazon anyways. If more and more shows are on 4k then go the 4k route but for now 1080P is good enough for me.No, i did not buy the protection plan.If this projector lasts for three years at least then I’m happy.Hope this review helps you. Good luck.My next purchase in the future will be the 4k laser short throw LS800 from epson.

Very good projector for the price

5 star projector, does what it needs to do for the price. Few points to take care before (it’s not con as per me)1. Manageable audio quality, not the best in the price range2. Gives best result when projected straight. If you keep the projector in the corner or if the projection is with some angle, then all the area will not be crystal clear3. Fan runs fast sometimes to maintain the temperature, creates some noise4. Given android stick is just above average, hangs some time

    Biggest Upgrade from Yaber Y21

I ordered this during a black friday promotion, and was hesitant on the price point but after deciding to pull the trigger this projector has been nothing but wonders since i’ve had it. The picture is extremely bright and clear to the point i can play games, watch tv, or stream anything whether there’s lights on, off or blinds open. There’s different modes that help with what you’re using it for, for instance game mode, cinema, bright, etc. Only downside i’ve had with this projector is the audio that comes built in is a little wonky, It’s bearable if you’re camping or out somewhere using it portable. But for cinema or home use i’d recommend a speaker to pair with it. I temporarily connected a beats pill via aux cord and charger cord connected to the back of the projector and that made it 100% better. Coming from Yabers Y21 projector which was a decent projector the Epson is night and day. Definitely satisfied and happy with my purchase, and i’d strongly recommend getting one of your wanting a projector.

Package received was missing Android TV remote control

The Epson projector alone is a great projector. However I purchased this model version to also use the Android TV feature. Epson requires you to use a provided streaming stick like an Amazon Fire TV stick to connect to the projector and then use a separate Android TV remote control. The package that was sent to me did not have the Amazon TV remote control so I cannot use the provided streaming stick. I had an Amazon box sealed package that had the original Epson box inside.I should have saved more money on a different model version for this projector by not opting for this Android TV feature.

    Great Clarity

it’s portable and sets up easy, Would have like the zoom capability to set up different distances. and it would have been nice to have the HDMI input on the exterior in addition to the Roku type adaptor inside the case.

    Perfect

We decided to take a chance & get a projector rather than a TV (per our sons advice) and this was a perfect choice. I has beautiful color even covering our 9 ft x19 ft wall . The sound is pretty good but we have a bar as well. We have people over for fun and they love it.Thank You

Best projector for Cinema 1 draw back tho

The projector is great the picture quality is super good, and you can se the image with even some daylight.Apart from that the android tv provides a simple access to Netflix, youtube an some other applications. The only draw back is the mounting for the CO-FH02 it doesn’t have the holes for the mount in the roof and maybe you will have to buy a monitor mount.Apart from that its a great projector and great for Cinema time.

No Bluetooth on device, only on streaming stick.

Nice picture, overall a good projector image quality wise. Does get quite bright. They advertise that this unit has Bluetooth however fail to mention it is in the streaming stick only. When using this with any other device you must use an HDMI compatible soundbar/receiver for audio unless you are okay listening through the puny built in speaker. If you are buying this and expecting on-device Bluetooth you will be disappointed. There is no audio out port, and only one HDMI input making it a nightmare for portable sound if not using the included streaming stick.

HC 880 is a great value with excellent quality and a super easy setup.

This is my second Epson projector and my third projector overall, all of which were mounted in our living room. Previous to this we had an off-brand projector (720p) and there is no comparison to the Epson Home Cinema 880. Our first Epson projector was awesome (6 years ago) and this one is even better, with the full 1080p everything looks beautiful. We are using a ROKU stick almost exclusively as you can see in the pic.Pros:- Super bright picture works even in the daytime with windows open.- Adjustable keystone for corner alignment (you’ll still need to mount properly, it’s not a fix-all).- Very quiet in Eco mode. There is very little difference between picture quality in Eco and Normal mode, but the projector is MUCH louder in normal mode.- 3-hole mounting which is compatible with almost all universal projector mounts. (IMPORTANT: I had to return one mount and order a different one because I have vaulted ceilings if your mount is not long enough your screen will be too high off the ground and not eye level.)Here’s the mount I used: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RR26GSL/Cons:None I can think of.

    Awesome

On my 3rd Epson projector in 10 yrs, I still have my last one that is still working beautifully, but I bought this one on a great sale and all I can say is WOW.. Bright picture even in daylight, colors and contrast are perfect. I have my mine hooked up to a home theatre receiver so sound is no problem. I never relied on my projectors speaker for sound, always ran my HD cord into my Yamaha receiver to get that home theatre sound. Get you one of these, you won’t be disappointed.

Great projector! But you CAN’T replace the bulb!!

This projector is bright, beautiful picture, great features, and good reliable name brand reputation. However! You can’t replace the bulb!!! It’s non replaceable so once it goes out, you now have a $600+/- paper weight. Projector bulbs can be very finicky too. Some may last 7 or 8 years and then the exact same type of bulb goes out in 7 or 8 days for someone else.Operational wise, it’s fantastic. But personally that shouldn’t make up for the possibility of a high cost item becoming completely useless at random.

    This thing is fantastic

Fully lit room at 2 in the afternoon next to the Christmas tree & the picture is great! The second picture is at night but with more ambiente light than outside at night. Cant imagine how good it will be at night. We purchased it for our outdoor movie nights. Set-up is easy. Sound quality out of the machine is good, but much better when wirelessly connected to a sound bar.

    Very bright and clear picture

At first tried to save a few hundred bucks with the Chinese knockoff projector. Lasted a month or two and then just slowly degraded to unwatchable. Bought the Epson 880 and was Thoroughly impressed with the quality of the picture and brightness of this unit. The best 1080p projector on the market. The 3LCD Epson technology truly a game changer when it comes to comparing old and new DLP projector tech. Save yourself time and money and choose An Epson projector.
