E.L.F Satin Finish Foundation Shade Bisque (neutral undertones)
This medium coverage e.l.f foundation in shade bisque (was natural) is my perfect shade! (Neutral Undertones ) I’m new to makeup and spent a WHOLE WEEK looking for my shade on anyone & everyone’s websites! After the 7th day of getting upset and crying about it I went to elf messaged their staff on the chat, sent her a photo & VOILA! She gave me my perfect shade, concealer, primer ECT! IN UNDER 1 MINUTE!! This bottle had a little pump on the top easy to apply with fingers, brushes, or sponges. The size is 20 mL (0.68 FL OZ). If you don’t want you makeup ESPECIALLY your foundation to crease you need a good face primer! This formula is pretty smooth and leaves you with a satin finish hence the name.

Best make-up I own!
I bought this online, which makes me nervous of the color match. But it was perfect! I ordered Light Ivory. My skin is fair with very slightly sallow tones.Plus, it goes on smooth and creamy, very even. Blends well. Seems to moisturize without being greasy.The coverage is medium. Not too light, but not too heavy. Never sits in the creases.All of these great features for under $10! I’m amazed!What more do you need?!

A little chalky
This definitely doesn’t have a smooth application like some of the more expensive competition. Primer and blending just isn’t enough most of the time. The coverage is okay. If you need some cheap foundation in a pinch, this stuff works. If you’re going for a polished look, this is not the foundation for you. It’s coverage for coverage sake.

Vanilla shade
It’s a nice foundation. I do not reccomend for combination skin in a humid environment. I live in the southwest so it’s rarely ever humid here. Definitely better in the drier climates and winter season for me. Shade was a decent match. It’s hard to find a good neutral tone for my Mediterranean light to medium skin. It is nice and price point is great.

Colors
I love the shades they have. I have a really hard time finding the right shade to match my skin tone. They got it almost down perfect. It would have been perfect had I bought it in winter instead of summer. Will definitely be buying again. Wish it was a lil more full coverage and sweat proof but will be perfect for cooler months.

LOVE!
This foundation has become one of my favorites for full coverage! It goes on so easy and holds up to the heat as well. The price of this is amazing for the quality. It’s comparable to expensive brand I have used in the past! I would recommend blending with a beauty blender or a foundation brush for a natural look so it goes on smooth! So here’s my review from a girl soon to be 67. So at this stage of life finding the right foundation that isn’t heavy and gives you a somewhat flawless finish can be challenging to say the least! I have some high end foundations which I still like, but sometimes like to switch it up. I have other elf products that I do like, so when I saw the reviews and the price point( which ya can’t beat) I decided to give it a shot! What the heck right! And as we all know trying to find the right shade can be tricky on line. A shot in the dark! So I winged it and choose the color Fawn! Perfect match for me, not to light, not to yellow! Just a natural looking color for me. I only used a little bit on my foundation brush, and if I felt I needed more, only a drop. It applied like a satin finish ( which I love) did not look heavy, and felt like no foundation at all! Another plus! I continued with a light dusting of finishing powder, a little bit of powder bronzer and a bit of my blush! Took all of maybe 2/3 minutes. So all I’m all I would recommend. Today is my first day trying this, so I’m hoping it last through the day. My picture I posted is in natural lighting outside, to get a true view! I read I’m some reviews about the sent, it’s very light and minimal and not and issue for me! Hope this helps you all ( :,

One of my go-tos!
I picked this up because I wanted to find a new foundation and this was decently priced. It feels really nice on the skin and not too heavy. It blends well with a beauty sponge. I have certain areas of my skin that refuse to pick up foundation even with the super expensive ones so I was expecting that, I have no issue with that as it’s my skin. It looks super nice on the skin and is a nice medium coverage. You might be able to build it up to be full coverage, but the medium coverage is nice and lightweight. If you want a nice and natural looking foundation, then I would definitely pick this up. The only thing I will note is that it does have a smell, but nothing insanely strong. It smells sort of like cologne to me, but I honestly don’t hate it.

Very good price, doesn’t irritate skin, very good coverage, buildable
This is a very decent full coverage foundation you can tap on with your clean finger tips or a beauty blender. It blends well, it comes off easily with micellar water or soap and water, it doesn’t irritate my skin, and it is very rare buildable. This pairs well with the elf camo concealer, but depending on what you’re trying to achieve and your skin type, you can also build this up in areas where you want thicker coverage.I don’t think I’ve ever used a better foundation that was priced this affordably. Is it the best foundation in the world? Will it change your life!? No, but it’s not the worst or even close to it.I would not buy this if it was marked up to $18 dollars a bottle, but I would definitely shell out $12 and change for it!I just wish it had SPF.

Where has Elf been all my life?!
I was super skeptical about this foundation because I am in my 50s and skeptical of ANY foundation. They were always kind of cakey and heavy for my tastes, but I had good skin and could get by without foundation for a couple decades.BUT my skin is not what it used to be, and I just moved to a new climate and my skin is not adjusting well. I have weird red splotches on my cheeks and chin, but my eyes look sunken because the skin under my eyes is kind of sallow and just not normal. Also, and how fun is this?, my formerly normal skin has become dry and even kind of flaky on my forehead. So with this horror show happening on my face, I thought I would give a foundation a try again. I haven’t bought it, as I mentioned above, in at least twenty years, so I really didn’t know what to look for or what to get. But everywhere I looked, people were raving about Elf, so I popped on Amazon to read some reviews, and I was sold.I didn’t do the whole looking for the right shade thing since my skin is very fair and not hard to match at all color-wise. I wasn’t so sure about coverage, so I also bought some weird purple thing to quiet the red. Happily, I received the Elf foundation first because I don’t need the purple powder (which seemed weird to me, but I did try it on the weekend, and it really did cover the red weirdness, so yay!).I only used the tiniest amount and kind of dabbed it on the red parts first, and then I used a foundation brush to blend it up down and around (and dabbed a bit more on my suddenly dry and flaky forehead), and I have to tell you, this is some amazing foundation! I have never seen anything like it; it’s like ten years were just sucked off my face because it not only covers uneven skin tones but does a good job filling fine lines around my eyes and even moisturizing my forehead flakes to the point they disappear. And it lasts! Obviously, I don’t touch my face during the day, but it lasted and didn’t cake or get uneven at all.I really couldn’t be happier. In fact, I just ordered a slightly darker color to try some contouring! So obviously, I would not only buy this again but am inspired to try more adventurous things to get just the look I want. Where has Elf been all my life? I can’t wait to see if their other products are as fabulous because now I want new eye-shadows and a lipstick!

Smelly, but decent quality for the price
Things to keep in mind when reading my review: I’ve recently gotten back into makeup so I’m currently still experimenting and learning. My face is oily with some texture.What I like about it:Price point is hard to beat. I got my shade for $3.It’s vegan and cruelty free, which is important to me. I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise.The color I got is an amazing match for my skin. I’m very pale and historically it’s been hard to find a foundation that matches my skin tone. This one looks perfect to me.Another thing I like is that it really evens out my skin tone and it’s buildable coverage wise.Feels okay on the face. I haven’t noticed any irritation yet and my sensitive skin appreciates that.After it fully dries it doesn’t seem to transfer very much.What I don’t like:The smell. I’m sensitive to smells. I prefer to wear unscented makeup for that reason. If I had realized this had a fragrance, I would not have bought it. Another reviewer said this smells like baby powder and grandma. They were right. It really gives “old lady.” Which is totally fine, but it’s not my thing. Maybe if the fragrance was barely there I wouldn’t mind it, but I still wonder why they even put fragrances in makeup anyways.It really seems to highlight my texture which is not a look I was going for. Maybe if I primed my face with something before this foundation it wouldn’t be an issue, however, I am more of a foundation minimalist (I typically don’t wear any foundation at all) so I was hoping to be one and done.I’ve only been wearing it for around 45 minutes and my oily-ness is already starting to come through.I want to leave it on longer to see how it holds up in a few hours, but the scent is making my eyes and nose water, so I’m afraid I have to wash it off before I can find out the longevity.Overall:It’s probably a great starter foundation, but please make it unscented.

Former Foundation Snob
For the past several years I have been a true foundation snob. I’m am in the 55+ age range and had issues with caking and blending with fine lines and wrinkles. I had been spending just under $40.00 for name brand foundation, which was ok but still not great. I started reading reviews online and on Amazon and ELF came up. I used to buy e.l.f. products for my teen girls back in the day because it was inexpensive and I had 3 teens at the time. I decided to give it a try and I am truly surprised at how well it has worked for me. The coverage is good, blending is good and best of all NO caking in those wrinkles. It took me a few times to realize that a little goes a LONG way. This is much thinner than my name brand but still covers just as well. It does not dry out my skin. I live in Utah so the Winter months are long and harsh with inevitable drying and flaking if I don’t stay on top of moisturizing. It lasts a long time and evens out my complexion. This bottle will last a long time but I will be purchasing again.

Great foundation especially for price
I’m shocked I got this foundation for a price like this. I got it in the color beige. I always get the lightest color for foundation since I’m really pale and was always nervous getting a color that makes me look orange. Getting the palest always made me look a bit like a ghost and I finally wanted to try a color that made my skin look more warmer and natural. This foundation is perfect with my skin color. Isn’t too dark and not too light. Works better than my last foundation also in terms of skin type. I have dry skin and this foundation is more silky and doesn’t show my dry skin. Highly recommend for pale girls who don’t want to look too pasty.

Good for the price!
Not the best foundation ever but I do love how well it holds up for the price. I have combination skin with dry and oily patches, and this foundation stands through that after a long day. It’s easy to pop on and blends super well, almost like it melts into my skin. It has a nice satin texture finish; perfect if you don’t want too glowy or too matte.

Good coverage but a little orange
I went to elf.com and did a color match base off my current shade of Laura marcier I wear. This foundation appears to be a smidge too orangish for my skin. That is my only complaint. Mine didn’t have the smell many have talked about. It was light but could immediately see the coverage and my friends loved. Coloring is just off. I’d say do the color match and go a shade lighter (easier to darken then lighten)

Best foundation I’ve ever used!
I’ve had a hard time finding a foundation that works for my skin. I have sensitive combination skin. E.L.F. products have always worked for me in the past so I gave this foundation a try. Best. Foundation. Ever. Absolutely perfect for my skin. It looks completely natural and gives me medium to full coverage depending on how much I put on. Even if I put on a larger amount, it doesn’t look clumpy or unnatural. I highly recommend to anyone, especially people who are just getting into makeup 🙂

Great foundation for combination skin, better than more expensive brands
I’ve been on the hunt for the “right” foundation, the miracle formula that will moisturize my skin without being greasy, control oil without overdrying, provide buildable coverage for problem areas but not cake into fine lines or crease throughout the day, and won’t come off everytime I touch my face or sweat. That’s a tall order and I have found lots of products that are great at one or two of those, but nothing that could feel like my skin, but hide imperfections, and stay looking good all day. I took a shot on the reviews for this ELF foundation and am so glad I did! It feels as good as my more expensive Bare Essentials foundation on, but has very little transfer and, best of all, does not make me look like a greaseball or sweat off in the FL humidity. All this for less than $10!

Perfect in every way
I have combination skin so finding a good foundation is truly the most frustrating process. I have spent so much money on products that claim to be perfect and my skin absolutely hates. This is the FIRST one I adore in every single wayShine- it’s not matte really, but that can just be my face. Finishing powder takes care of thatApplication- there is no rubbing this in forever trying to make it even. It goes on smoothly without needing to get rid of streaks and bare spots.Buildible- I always get ones that are buildible to get the full coverage. I can’t really say much to that because the first application is always enoughCaking- there is no caking around your nose or pulling out every dry spot and putting it on displayLasting- I won’t say this is some magic foundation that last days. But it does last the whole day for me. However it will come off with any sweating. Plus side when it is coming off, it doesn’t streak down your face, it just sort of dissappears. With that I am assuming any water will make it come offSmell- I truly hate the smell of foundation. But this one smells amazing as strange as that sounds. I absolutely love itOverall this is an AMAZING product that I have become a loyal customer to. If you are spending tons of money trying every single “amazing” foundation because of combination skin, give this a try because I can guarantee you will love it!

PLEASE MAKE SURE U GET YOUR ACTUAL COLOR
I got the wrong color it was way too light for me but that’s my mistake, the packaging was good it didn’t come broken it was easy to use, it didn’t crease tbh but I did have it on for like 5 minutes so it doesn’t count. It wasn’t moisturizing tbh it was drying but the overall performance was 9/10 just make sure u get your real color.

Nice coverage without being heavy
I am one of those people who has a few things I normally spend extra money on, foundation is one of them and I usually use Nars. But, I have always liked ELF products when I have purchased them, and in a pinch because I lost my foundation in a recent move and had plans, I needed the fastest delivery possible. I looked at several brands, but kept coming back to this one, because of my positive experience with other products from them. It was delivered either same day or next day (I don’t remember) and I was very happy with it. The color I picked was spot on, (SNOW) and it covers well, without being heavy or too matte which I don’t like. I did need to apply lightly and build if I want to because of this, as the texture was a bit thicker than what I’m used to, and spreads differently, so I tapped it gently on with just my fingers. I won’t be switching from my Nars, but I was happy with this.

PUT IT ON LIGHTLY
I was so unsure about this only because 1) I’ve never used ELF foundation before (I normally use Maybelline and 2) it’s hard to find something that’ll match my skin tone. So with that being said, here are my pros and cons…CONS: Put out on with a sponge, beauty blender or brush and do it LIGHTLY. Because the product is so “thick” per se, I mistakenly thought that “more is better.” I did 3 pumps and it was not a good look! Lol…One light pump and I wound up getting it right.Another CON is hoping and praying that it matches your skin tone. This one was a slight bit lighter, but I’m chalking it up to putting too much on so it looked like I dunked my whole face in foundation. Once I “corrected” my technique, then it looked very soft and pretty.The PRO is simple: very lightweight coverage and it covered up my dark spots (which is EXACTLY the main thing I was going for.) I have a formal and church to attend to this weekend, so that’s when I’ll really put out to the test!Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase.
