good kettle, but dead after 2 years
Bought this kettle in March 2021; it just died yesterday, April 2023. Just stopped working after boiling 2 kettle’s full for green tea. I’ve been using it steadily for 2 years, making 3 kettle’s full of green tea (one after the other) every 3 days. In recent months, I did notice that by the 3rd kettle full, the handle got warm and sometimes the ‘on’ button would not engage and I’d have to let it cool off for a few minutes before it would work again. Anyhow, it worked great when it worked, and it’s just discouraging on many levels that what is probably a $0.17 electronic part was a proverbial ‘weak link’ that burnt out, rendering this nice little machine useless. It seems like there are many appliances that for reasons of planned obsolescence and/or price competitiveness die all too quickly, resulting in unnecessary consumerism that eats up earth resources, increases carbon footprint, etc., etc. A plea to the (deaf ears?) of manufacturers to please go ahead and spend a little more on ‘key parts’ to keep these kinds of machines running. I’d gladly pay more for a long-lasting appliance. The bottom line – are you listening, Dezin? – is that I will be looking for a replacement kettle from a different manufacturer. Too bad because I really liked this one…

Seems wobbly
It boils water but if I set it on the base empty it wobbles around. My old pot sits securely on its base. This one dose not. A bit disappointing.

Heats good fairly quickly. Cheap plastic!
This pot is good for the price but not built great as it has thin metal and cheap plastic but heats well.

Buy this kettle, you’ll Love it!
I bought this kettle in January, and am extremely happy with it, no complaints at all! It’s everything which is stated in the description, and has worked perfectly for me since day one. I bought this stainless steel kettle, rather than glass, for a few reasons. First, it does not get as hot as a glass kettle. My kitty drinks her water on the kitchen counter, and I didn’t want anything which could possibly burn her if she came near it by accident. The short electrical cord on the kettle is a safety feature, too. Also, though glass looks cool, the water where I live is very hard, and mineral deposits in glass are near impossible to avoid. They do not look cool. This stainless steel kettle doesn’t show any mineral deposits, it looks beautiful. It also has a large opening, so cleaning is a breeze, too. Stainless steel is perfect for anything which touches food, nothing really beats it as far as being free of toxins, and it normally lasts for many years. Yes, the kettle lid is plastic, but I don’t consider this an issue, as water only comes in contact with it briefly when you actually pour it. When the kettle turns off, it also keeps the water hot enough for a second cup of tea. The auto shut off safety feature is working perfectly, and I feel comfortable leaving my kettle plugged in all the time. If you watch professional chefs, such as Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey, you’ll see the kettles they use are stainless steel. Myself, I’ve never seen a professional chef use a clear glass kettle. I figure if something similar works for Gordon Ramsey, it’s good enough for me. I don’t think you can go wrong with this great electric kettle. It would make a wonderful gift for anyone living in small quarters, too, it’s extremely useful. The kettle has made a terrific addition to my kitchen. I highly recommend it.

2.5 years & still going
This kettle has been robust. We use it A LOT – multiple times daily and it travels with us when we take the RV. The poor thing never gets a day off 😉 Given our experience with others that we subjected to the same use, it has performed admirably. If/when it finally dies, we will likely purchase another.

Heats water
Our electric kettle died after 22 years, so I looked for a replacement. I didn’t feel I needed extensive bells and whistles, and this was certainly within the budget. It works, but it feels cheap, and wierdly, it wobbles on its base.

Great product
I bought this electric kettle a week ago and I am very satisfied with its performance. It boils water quickly and quietly, and it has a sleek design that fits well in my kitchen. The kettle is easy to use and clean, and it has a safety feature that prevents it from overheating or boiling dry. It also has a cordless base that allows me to move it around without any hassle. I would recommend this electric kettle to anyone who is looking for a reliable and efficient appliance. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for
All I can say is that it works. It boils water. Only complain is the base is cheaply made. The hole for the chord to come out of is too small and digs into the chord’s insulation.

Great Simple Kettle
I was amazed when I saw a young girl at work using one of these for her tea. Although I’m a coffee drinker, I also love tea and cocoa. I was so impressed with how quickly this thing not only heats, but actually BOILS water. In addition to water for tea and cocoa, I’ve also used it to heat water for my Idahoan Potatoes, and last winter when my water pump died and I was bringing 35 degree well water up from the basement for a week, this heated water for washing dishes and bathing. It did the job again for TWO WEEKS a few months later when my water heater died.If you are a tea connoisseur, this doesn’t have temperature control to select the perfect temp for the particular tea you’re brewing. However, if you’re looking for something super simple that just works, and works great, this is it. You literally just flip one button to turn it on, and it shuts off automatically once boiling. It then keeps the water hot for quite a while.I will say that as of this morning, my unit is no longer working after 1 year, 5months. However given how heavily I’ve used it, I’m not going to consider that a fault at this point. In addition to my normal daily use MULTIPLE TIMES, remember I had used it for heating large quantities of water, running it back to back. Sometimes four times in a row. It’s absolutely safe to say that I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

Design and/or assembly needs work
Takes a little while to heat and is quite loud, but stays warm for a while. Size is good and it pours well. Biggest complaint is the way the bottom of the pot is assembled. That bottom seam around the side must leak a little as water seeps in and (for those of us with a lot of lime in the water) we get a nasty lime ring there. I’ve noticed others complaining about the lime buildup and rusting in that spot. Definitely needs a redesign.

Good simple kettle, needs water level indicator
This is a basic model kettle, works well, simple to use. However, I did not realize that it does not have a water level indicator. So it is hard to know when you have placed too much water.

It’s Good
The burner is not exposed which is a big selling point. Rival has one where the burner in on the inside of the pot. This one can be used to heat anything. And it’s easy to clean. If you have big sausage fingers and meaty hands maybe you’ll need a brush to clean it. It heats liquid to boiling in a minute or two. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it will sit on the base just fine but it’s kinda wobbly. And the cord is too short. It does what it’s advertised to do.

It’s Great for Me
It’s Great, but a bit loud when boiling. I like that it can hold so much water, because often I have allot of tea throughout the day while I write. It’s good if you don’t have any disabilities that include arthritis, it’s a bit heavy to lift.

This is my second one
I received one as a gift and it must have been a dud. It lasted maybe a month before it short circuited. Purchased a second and have had so far, fingers crossed, no issues. I drink a lot of tea, like a lot. So I’m constantly using this thing. I love the light! Such a cute addition, the automatic shit off once done. Cause setting it and forgetting it is my jam apparently! I love that it stays hot for a long time then stays warm for longer. This thing has changed the way I drink tea and allowed me to drink more as I’m not waiting hours for my tea kettle to to warm up! Noise level is enough to know something is boiling but not enought to alert guest. Love this thing!!

Not recommended if you suffer from attention deficit or hearing loss.
Being English, I need to boil water on a regular basis to make pots of tea or coffee. In olden times, I possessed a stove. A stovetop kettle with a whistle was ideal because it demanded my attention the very moment the water reached boiling point.Sadly, this electric kettle just makes a quiet click when it boils. I don’t hear the click; so I often don’t notice the water has boiled until several minutes have passed and the water temperature won’t make a decent pot of tea. When I touch the switch, it will eventually return the water to boiling point, but I always feel water that has boiled twice is somehow stale. And it’s not a very fast kettle. I’m obliged to watch over it for eight minutes, nine if the device has fully cooled off overnight. I wish I could find again the electric kettle in this photo. It was cheaper and it boiled in half the time.

Less sturdy
Heats quickly and stays warm longer than previous electric kettle which was different brands. It’s harder to sit on heating element. There’s no button to open lid. I preferred other brand, but it did give out with less than Daily use. Probably personal preference.

BIG kettle
I’m a senior with disabilities, so that plays a part when I evaluate a product. This particular kettle is MUCH larger than the one that died, (I could brew 3 cups of coffee out of that one at full capacity). This one makes much more water, which can be convenient, but even at half capacity, this one is a lot heavier to pick up.I haven’t been using it a full week yet, so I can’t say it’s going to be as long lived as the previous kettle was. However, as kettles go, they are an essential at our house. We use it for instant noodles, coffee (we use an AeroPress) and tea regularly. This one isn’t as fast as the previous one was, and it’s NOISY as well. Normal conversation over the kettle isn’t possible. Our previous kettle had a mesh screen to ensure sediments don’t come out the spout or insects get into the spout. This one doesn’t, it’s just holes in the metal wall.It works. It makes a lot of hot water. There is no adjustment on temperature or visible temperature gauge. It shuts off when the kettle comes to a boil. It’s just big, slow and noisy while it does it.

I haven’t had this product for more than a month, but I already love it! I actually use it really often. I don’t wait on water to boil on my electric stove for forever now, I add the water that I’ve already boiled and it has literally cut my cook time down. I use it daily, multiple times a day. OK, but quick to fail
I’ve had this kettle for 2 months. From the start, i had to be careful and slow with the pour or it dripped all over the counter while pouring. Now, the auto off switch doesn’t work. This may have been user error on my part. I wasn’t feeling well and lifted it off the base before it was done with it’s cycle and now it won’t reset. Every time I put it on the base, it starts boiling and won’t stop. The handle gets very hot as well. Yes, I realize the instructions say not to interrupt the cycle. However, humans are, well human, and if a product isn’t built well enough for handling human error, they are not built right nor are they safe. The kettle this one replaced was able to handle being removed from it’s base before the auto shut off kicked in all the time, without a problem. I had that one for well over 10 year before I dropped it and caused a leak. That’s probably why I forgot and picked this one up off the base before it stopped. So, I’m back to look for a new electric kettle that can survive a human and our occasional inattention to mechanical expectations.
