Good DVD player for travel with plenty of features.
I don’t drive anymore and hate draining my laptop on a long ride, so I searched for a good DVD player. I landed on this one. This came with everything as advertised. In case you’re like me and have never used one of these, after you plug in the device to whatever power source you’re gonna use, on the right hand side is an On/Off slider switch. Make sure to slide it to On. I tested this with one of my favorite cheesy action flicks, The Substitute 3, starring the late Treat Williams. The picture was really nice, and I liked that I could swivel the screen. I tested out the sound levels, and it starts at 12 and maxes out at 20. This should be more than enough for most people, but there is a headphone jack if you prefer that.I wanted to test out the USB drive and SD Card reader, but I don’t have anything that meets the requirements of max 32 GB. So please be aware of that limitation. The remote has a lot more options than I anticipated, which was nice. All in all I feel like I got my money’s worth and am very excited to use it this coming weekend. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a nice portable DVD player. The screen size is really nice, by the way. I used to own a really small one and it felt cutting edge at the time, but this is such an improvement.

Happy with purchase
DVD’s? yes, I purchase them at garage sales and secondhand stores. Much cheaper than buying the digital format that cannot even be played without a Wi-Fi connection. Ok some subscriptions allow you to download and watch later, but still the expense when I can get the same movie for $2 or less. The screen is large which was one of my requirements. For the price the screen has good clarity and doesn’t have that side view blur. There is a reflection of light if you have a lamp on behind you as you watch but that is easily taken care of by turning off the lamp. Color is fine, easy to use and set up. Rechargeable and has a decent battery life. I haven’t used the remote as the player is aways when in arms reach when I watch. The sound could be better but for the price I think it’s good. I’m happy with my purchase and not only use it at home but also when camping. I would purchase again if needed.

So many great features!
I was looking to replace my old portable DVD player. I didn’t know where to begin but I found a web site that rated the 10 best portable DVD players. This model was at the top of the list and was given an “Exceptional” rating. I was happy to find it for sale on Amazon.com at what I considered to be a fair price, given all of the great features. There are too many to list here but the ones I like most are the large 15.6″ rotating screen, long lasting rechargeable battery and the resume playback feature which allows you to go back to the exact spot where you left off watching your movie in case you can’t watch the entire movie in one sitting. Other great features include a remote control, car charger, headphone and speaker jack and an A/V cable in case you want to play your movies on your TV set. So many formats are supported too (DVD, CD, mp3, JPEG and more. You can’t go wrong with this purchase!

Nice big DVD player for family!
I bought this portable DVD player for my kids to watch movies on long road trips. I was impressed by the large and clear screen, the easy-to-use remote control, and the long battery life. The DVD player supports multiple formats, so we can play DVDs, CDs, USB drives, and SD cards. It also has a sync TV function, which allows us to connect it to a bigger screen at home or in a hotel. The sound quality is decent, and the volume can be adjusted with the remote. The swivel screen is very convenient, as it can be rotated 270 degrees and flipped 180 degrees. The car charger is also a nice bonus, as it ensures that we don’t run out of power on the road. Great picture quality!
I love watching movies and this was perfect for all my dvds! I was really surprised on the size of the product, so awesome, it was like a small tv. I was able to connect it to my projector and watch it on a bigger screen, I had the perfect date night with my hubby!!

Has some great features
To start with, the screen on this is huge. The 180 degree pivot, which allows you to spin the screen and fold it down flat against the unit (like you would a tablet/surface) is very nice, making it much more manageable to hold an watch. It has stereo sound, so don’t expect anything great there, but it does have a headphone jack, so you can give it to a kid to watch a kids show and not have to hear it. The speakers sound just fine for watching something designed for stereo, for instance I tested it with a standup comedy and it sounded just fine. The packaging was surprisingly very good. The hole system was in an awesome bubble sleeve like a hard drive would come in. It does only have RCA out to plug into a tv, but if you’re using a dvd player still, you’re likely to have that on your tv too I’m guessing, lol. I couldn’t get it to recognize anything on a flash drive, but that is likely because I only have giant flash drives (128 gigs or above) which does cause issues on some older tech, that aren’t designed for that kind of capacity. Also, most of my files are x265, so I was having trouble finding a file that fit the supported file type. I think this shines as a dvd player (which is what it is designed and promoted as) for car travel for a kid or two to watch.

Speakers need work
I’m surprised this DVD player got such great reviews. I don’t watch movies with a headset, so I needed the sound to be able to carry across my living room. The volume wasn’t made high enough, and it also sounds muffled. So, I turned on the subtitle button, but I really don’t want to read a movie. Other than that, the picture is great.

I’m so excited about this purchase! I have a bunch of family videos that were converted to dvds but I couldn’t find a dvd player when I was home and most laptops don’t have a cd drive these days. This dvd player will be easy to travel with and very convenient to have for the occasional movie nights! The picture and sound quality is great too.

Nice screen size for the whole family to see

I bought this portable DVD player for the kids to use on a road trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how big the screen is. I know it’s listed as 17.9″ but the last portable DVD player I had was so small in comparison. This is more like the size of a large laptop but without the weight. It’s pretty light and was easy for all 3 of my kids to see their movies in the back of the car. The kids were happy with the picture and sound quality. The DVD player comes with all the cords you need and while we kept it plugged in most of the time it seems to hold its charge well. The only thing that we had difficulty with was turning it on. The on switch is actually on the side. Once we figured that out we didn’t have any more issues. Overall it’s a great value for the price.

Big player with big features!
This is a big player, larger than the Mac Pro show on top and most similar to large case Dell systems with similar build. It can rotate and open to tablet style functionality as well. It comes with a remote, charger, a/v adapter cable, and 12v charger all included. Layout and features are incorporated on either side of the disk bay located on top center. Remote is nice and probably what you’ll gravitate into using most.Playback is good and DVD upscale is sufficient to this display format. Audio is adequate, both are set up for infront and close playback. The player has large rubber feet to give it some lift from any surface. Display has control for brightness/contrast etc… which is always good to adjust to your liking.Overall this is a nice unit for one needing entertainment options on the go and has a variety of disk formats accepted and SD card reader supporting them as well.

Great Portable DVD Player At An Affordable Price!
I received my new Devinc Portable DVD player today and immediately plugged it in to charge. Four hours later the battery was fully charged and I could watch a DVD movie. I was very impressed with all the features this player has yet they are easy to use. The battery wasn’t even 50% used after watching 2+ hour movie. I also tried watching shows on an SD card and USB stick and they worked perfectly. I’m very happy that this affordable DVD player works so great. It will be perfect to take on a road trip to entertain kids or adults. I highly recommend purchasing this Devinc DVD player as soon as you can. My friend has already ordered her 1 before her family goes on a vacation road trip next week.

First time using a device like this and I must say it’s good & so easy to use~I have lot of dvd’s but never got to play them cause was too lazy to carry a dvd player and a laptop together; so this 2 in 1 (or may I say 3 in 1, cause it can also play from SD card) is the perfect solution!The audio sounds good & image quality is fine too, can connect cable headphones.It came with all the cables, chargers & remote control (comes with batteries too!) you will need; it’s a plus that it has a built-in battery so you can carry it around without worrying about finding a charging place~

Great for traveling
This portable DVD player is fantastic. I got for a trip we took and it has work great so far. I like how there is a swivel screen, so you can have it closed while using it and it’s also mountable so you can have it on the back of your seat in car.The screen is the perfect size and it gives a clear picture. The sound quality is excellent. Its clear and does not have any static to it. I really like how it came with aux cables so that we can hook it up in car or to our surround sound at home.There are also several different ways to watch a movie. You can play a DVD, a SD card or USB. I do wish that it had a longer battery life to it but you can watch about 3 movies before it will die, and it doesn’t take long for it to charge. It’s a great value for the money spent on it and we will be using it a lot this summer.

great picture quality DVD player with numerous ports for usb & microSD
I am very happy with this portable DVD player. The picture quality is crisp, the sound is clear, and the battery life is a respectable 2-3 hours per charge. As you can see, there are numerous inputs on the side of the player- so, besides, DVDs, I can watch movies from my USB drive and on my SD card (or micro SD card if you have an adaptor- not included). Also- the screen rotates! so I can share the screen with my wife without having to move the entire player. It obviously has a headphone jack, but if you buy a jack splitter, you and a friend can watch and listen at the same time. Although the player appears bulky, it is pretty light and not hard to lug around. I got this so that I could watch something while waiting for doctors appointments- now the wait time flies by since I can just bring this player and watch my favorite shows while waiting!

A very nice DVD player
When our package arrived I expected to open and find a much smaller device. This portable dvd player is BEAUTIFUL! With an almost 16″ screen it is impressive. There is an ac/dc plug and a cigarette lighter car charger, as well as audio / video cable and remote. The player instructions do recommend a 6-8 hour for initial charge, so that should be considered if ordering this for a last minute trip or event.The player has its large screen which can be viewed by more than one easily. Most other portable dvd players are quite small for watching. The screen rotates 180° and also folds on top of the base open and closed.The picture is clear and crisp, the volume is ample, but not overly loud at max volume. There is the ability to attach a speaker and/or headphones. Overall, this is an awesome addition to travel with or use in any area without a need for plug once charged. Connecting to a larger screen is also easily done.So many personal and professional uses with this player!

Excellent Purchase
I bought this as a gift for my non-techie 60 year old stepson. It was for his birthday and after he opened it I took over and made sure all the parts were there (they were), plugged it in and inserted a DVD movie. What a great picture and sound. I think he could have done it on his own. Lol. I asked his a couple of days ago how he was liking it and he said it was Great and thanks. High praise from him. P.S. He particularly liked the large 15″ screen!!

Nice and Portable, good Size!
My son loves it, I thought it was corded, and it is but it has a rechargeable battery, the picture is very good, I can use the all DVDs and SD card or USB, it will play all the formats, I haven’t have any problems with any media, It also has an input if you want to use it as a monitor, I really like it, we take it with us in the car and my son can watch movies all the time, so far the Battery is holding for 2 movies and still works, I don’t know how link before it discharges, I always make sure its charge before we go. Is very light, the screen turns 360! and it can fold in itself backwards, we love it.

It’s ok, but could be better.
I got this portable DVD player for myself for my birthday today (with cashback rewards and a $30 promotional coupon, I paid $2.44!🥳). I was especially excited about being able to play mp4’s. Unfortunately, the player doesn’t recognize all mp4’s. 🙁 I have videos from my phone, and I noticed that certain ones won’t provide a video. I’ll just hear sound. It seems like anything edited will not play, and I don’t see why that would make a difference if the same video can be played on my computer. Also, the player did not recognize or “support” my USB device, despite it saying that it does. The other thing is that the videos and movies are “washed out”. I guess tweaking the video settings may provide an easy fix, so we’ll see. Overall, it was an ok purchase, especially for what I paid, but I’m left disappointed that there isn’t any consistency in playing mp4’s, one of the main reasons I bought this portable dvd player to begin with.Edited: No matter what I tried, the image quality isn’t the best and the remote control is unresponsive, half the time. I took off a star for this. Definitely glad I did not pay a hundred dollars for this (or even $30 less with the coupon). It is just serviceable, but for what I paid, it will do.

What an Unexpected Score!
We got this portable DVD player because our old one that my kids use on trips and my wife uses for exercise had seen it’s better days.I bought it without really looking at the specs, but was blown away by a number of things: 1. As you can see from the picture it is much larger than our previous portable DVD player or any other one I’ve seen. 2. The screen has 180° rotation. This is especially helpful to my wife who can set the base on a shelf and turn the screen without worrying about it falling off the shelf. 3. It comes with wall and car charging cords, but also keeps its charge for a while.It has a lot of functions, but the buttons make intuitive sense.Would recommend 10 out of 10.

I’ve purchased no less than 4 portable dvd players in my life and 3 in the last 6 years. I’m blown away by the quality of this dvd player. First off, the dvd player came super securely packaged. First thing I noticed upon opening, the screen is HUGE! The volume is fantastic compared to other portable dvd players. Like for real, great sound! Also, huge bonus, the screen swivels. The player comes with a remote, batteries, power supply for home and car and aux cable. It did not come with a usb cord but there is a usb port. If you’re trying to decide on a portable dvd player look no further!!

A Gadget that’s Great on the Go
Great portable DVD player for when you’re on the go and you need to keep your lil ones entertained. Feels well built so you don’t have to worry about it breaking the first time it gets knocked over because you already know it’s inevitable that’s going to happen if you have children. Has many playback options( DVD, USB,SD card). Picture quality is pretty impressive as is the sound quality for a relatively small unit. Also has 3.5 mm jack for headphones so you have options. And at this price point I would have to say I would definitely recommend this to anybody considering this or that’s on the fence about it.

This thing is a beast!
First off, the screen on this thing is HUGE! I’ve included a soda can for reference. I was out of bananas. The player includes a remote but all the buttons are on the device, so you don’t need to take the remote… which is great for travelling.My only critique is that the bottom buttons were a little confusing at first, but it makes sense now. The top button labels are above the buttons. The bottom button labels are below the button.It’s a great device at a great price.

So happy I got this! Before getting to the actual product, this item comes in its own box and handle. Very aesthetically pleasing (and therefore a great gift). The item now – it is large and chunky. The interface reminds me of my old MP4’s screen. BUT – sound is great, the remote is a huge fun bonus, and the item feels durable. I popped in a music CD and it sounded perfectly fine. Unpictured, I used a movie CD and it too, looked perfectly fine. This is great to lug around to trips / just have playing if one doesn’t own a radio. Get this!

I love the large screen and that you can spin it to sit like a TV. I also love that it remembers where it stopped in the movie so the kids can continue their movie when we get back in the car. Another bonus is it doesn’t shut off right away when you turn the car off. I don’t know how long the battery lasts but a few times I have unplugged it or turned the car off and the movie continued to play. Super nice for when I stop for gas. Very happy with this purchase.

Love this DVD player! It’s portable, sound quality is great. I like that the screen rotates and essentially closes back up, so the littles ones don’t have access to the controls.can be propped up on tables, laps… anywhere you please. Comes with AV cables, plug in for the wall, and a cigarette lighter for the car. Only downfall, I don’t have a cigarette lighter in my car, so I had to purchase an adapter to go USB to cigarette lighter. Other than that this is a 10/10!

I was looking for a DVD player for my DVD collection. With all the new technology, there’s still something about choosing a physical DVD and sitting down to watch. Overall I’m pretty impressed with this portable DVD player. Especially at this price point. It is fairly light, but still feels well built and not flimsy like some light weight electronics feel. I like that it will play computer burned dvd movies. Some players won’t recognize or load them. It also doubles as a portable music cd player. It has a standard definition coaxial input/output cable included. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is nice because the dual speakers are loud enough to watch a movie with a portable air conditioner dunning on high with the condenser pump running. But they aren’t overly load where you could plug the player into a large monitor and watch the movie while relying on the player speakers to fill a whole room with sound. There is also a USB port, and an SD Card slot. So you can use a thumb drive, portable USB drive, or SD card loaded with media. This is a standard definition DVD player only. It will not play blu-ray or HD-DVD discs. But with the USB port you could easily attach a cheap mini portable HD DVD ROM Drive with an external speaker plugged into the headphone jack as well. I did exactly this to test the player hooked to my mini 4k projector. We are an anchored out on our yacht this week. We had potluck double feature movie nights on the beach every night from last Friday through last night(also friday). For the cruisers in the anchorages near where we are in, & the people who live in the village just off the beach.l to mingle and get to know one another. Several of us have portable Solar Generators with good sized battery banks we were given to test, so noise free power on the beach is no longer an issue. Well as long as you remember to charge them with their panels during the day, or from your RV or Yacht batteries/internal combustion generators beforehand. During the daytime I also let my best friends 2 under 10 year old sons use it as a second monitor for their Nintendo switches, and gaming computer set up as a multi seat computer console, splitting the 2 player coop mode screens between 2 separate monitors in full screen, instead of playing side by side or top bottom split screen mode on the 15.6″ laptop or their 42″tv. Multi seat with individual monitors, keyboards and mice/controllers is way cooler than split screen. I think their dad should get em both 4k vr headsets lol. But that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong. Hint, Hint hey HP, HTC, Meta, Pimax, Valve Index etc, between the boys, and my drone video content, if anyone wants to sende me couple 4k headsets to test I can make sure they get put through their paces 😉!! On the beach, I plugged a 3.5mm splitter into this portable dvd player, then a 3.5 male to FM transmitter to one side of the splitter. Sent that signal our indoor outdoor 7 channel surround sound system using it’s internal FM radio signal tuner. The other side of the splitter had a 3.5mm Bluetooth transmitter synced to the projector bluetooth antenna. The standard def video was run to the projector with the serial to RCA adaptor cord provided, and hooked our mini high def drive to the USB port. A couple nights 2 cruisers who can beach their yachts backed them in and we used a 3.5mm to FM transmitter in the player, and a the FM receiver in my surround sound system and the stereos in their sound systems in the cockpit of their boats. We did the movies and then a bonfire and kareoke on the beach with tasty beverages. Everyone had a blast. This player allows you to turn the screen off and close it when using the player with an external monitor or projector which is very nice. Especially on a sandy beach at night where little flying buzz vampires like Noseeums and the State Bird of Florida and Georgia, the Skeeter are out in full force along with moths and may flies. We watched movies through the projector with the internal DVD player in standard definition using DVD’s, saved on SD cards, from our laptop drive through the USB connection, and from people’s thumb drives. I also have a small $50 mini HD-DVDRW drive with a USB and HDMI Output I use in more or less the same fashion to play Blu-Ray, 3D, and HD-DVD’s. But it has an internal Bluetooth antenna l, and has multiple audio out ports on its board. RCA,Digital, 3.5mm, and HDMI. So it can be hard wired to my projector or synced via a combination of the internal Bluetooth antennas, and the 3.3mm transmitter and receiver adapters I have. Hard wiring provides the best audio and video quality and synchronization though.The battery life was surprising we unplugged it from the power source one evening and even with it poweringy 2 3.5mm transmitter adaptors, and playing DVDs with the screen on and the brightness turned up and sound maxed out, it played 4, 1 hour movies without dying. The remote control is an awesome feature. But I also like that the player has a push button and directional ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️ rockers with a center button to access and adjust all menus, settings and functions. If you want a fairly rugged, lightweight standard definition portable DVD player with the versatility of watching in bed,.on your lap, in a plane,trains or automobile, or camping in a tent, etc. One that doesn’t take upuch space, will fit in a 17″ laptop bag or case, which comes with a pretty impressive battery.life, an ac power adapter cord, a DC 12v automotive port(cigarette lighter) power adapter cable,remote control, push button controls 2 adequate internal speakers, audio and video outs, a headphone jack, a screen you can power off while still sending the dvd player video to an external monitor? Well you can’t go wrong with this product. Even some of the low budget made for TV movies I know have appeared grainy, or fuzzy on some other cheap dvd players I’ve watched them on in the past, looked much clearer and crisper on the screen of this portable player by DEVINC. There is obvious upscaling from the original image resolution to play cleaner and.crisper.on the 720p+ capable screen. The only cons I found after a full weak of fairly extensive testing on the beach and im the hands of 2 under 10 year old male children is that the dvd trap door and springs aren’t the best design. When the product arrived the spring loaded DVD player cover had popped out of its hinge tabs during shipping and the springs had popped out of their clips. It was an easy fix ,and nothing was broken. But this does seem like a week point in the design which could result in a lost lid, or springs that are lost or end up dropping into the dvd player aperture damaging the lense or motor and gears. The speakers definitely could be louder. This would obviously benefit greatly from the ability to support high definition DVDs/Blu-ray, and an HDMI input and output on the board. The scrín is also only 1280×800 so just over 720p resolution. But any portable player I see with such options and a true 1080p 1440p, 2k or 4k screen is priced in a significantly higher bracket. The alternatives I used of my cheap HD-DVD Blu-ray Rewritable USB Drive hooked into this player, & the high def movies played through the tuner on this device from a USB drive or SD card will give you a higher resolution movie scaled to slightly higher than 720p (1280×800 in 16:9.) On the rotatable multi angle screen, or to the resolution of the external monitor or projector you may chose to use. At the current price I am impressed, not dissuaded by this product. The pros are, including but not limited to1) A large clear and bright 720p screen with a good range of video adjustments2) decent sound quality dual stereo speakers3) the ability to support multiple dvd formats including MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, JPEG, AVI, DIVX, MPG, MP4, VOB, FLV4) the combination of a remote and buttons on the console5) a 5000mah internal rechargable battery6) The inputs & outputs on the audio/video board7) The included adapter cables which make connecting it to other video and audio displays & surces easy8) Ease of using the different functions and accessing adjustments and settings. Weighing the positive experience vs the cons.I.mentioned lead me to the conclusion the pros win in this case. I would definitely buy it again and gift it, or recommend it to others.

Quality Screen with Excellent Performance
I am very impressed with the beautiful technicolor of the screen view: when I played a Children’s Video for my initial performance test. I actually purchased this lightweight swivel travel DVD player to mostly use for DVD continuing education medical seminars. However, it will come in handy for an occasional entertainment DVD movie.I was apprehensive to even start to set it up (having had past years of excruciating technology trauma from the extensive gruesome wiring for a DVD player to work.) This DVD player is state-of-the-art simple one-step charge to connect and voila all you have to do is sit and watch! I’m very pleased with the screen size which beats watching from an iPad size and the option of the DVD player portability for travel size.The buttons on the DVD player and remote are basic self-explanatory. If you’re like me and don’t like spending your life reading overstated nonsensical electronic instructions on a pamphlet; this DVD player is your ticket to let’s just get this thing rolling!The price is sensible comparing to others on the market which I researched and read reviews on: and not to mention comparing to my past hideous bulky heavy DVD players! I purchased the 3 year protection insurance plan, nonetheless; because after all, it is an electronic device and this way I can have peace of mind that if anything does not work going forward; they’ve got me covered!So, go ahead buy with confidence and enjoy your new DVD player just like I’m doing, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Pretty awesome.
I didn’t really care to look at the measurements and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the screen was. I would 100% recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good portable DVD player. It comes with a remote and batteries, a plug-in charger, a car charger and AV cords.

Loud and impressive

I absolutely love this thing! My daughter is silent in the backseat when we go on car rides. I can twist it so that everyone in the car can watch also. It’s loud enough to where I can listen to something and they can still hear their movie. No more (are we there yet?) Now I just hear (where there already?🙄) 😆 best purchase for me. I can charge it in the car as it came with a car port and home charger. So when it dies I just keep it on the charger while they watch their movies. It’s great and compact, it’s not a hassle to lug around. It’s definitely worth the price. Especially for those parents that don’t want their kids with a lot of radiation with these phones and tablets pulling in all that 5G. This is a great old school way of killing time and giving the kids something to do and watch, so they’re not bored on long rides.

Large clear portable dvd
