    Only Lasted Three Days

Brand new three day old monitor unfortunately began malfunctioning. Specifically, every few seconds the OSD (on screen display) spontaneously started turning on and off. Very annoying. A factory reset failed to correct the problem. Research pointed to a bad OSD switch. The option to exchange the defective monitor for a new unit was not offered so started the return process for a refund instead.

    Reading Text is absolute garbage

Cannot read text with severe Glow. Tried every combination possible. Poor quality monitor. Overly sharp where all of the text radiates.

4-star SOLID, just like my old 32 HP OMEN

One day IPS glow sure will be completely solved or going to be very dismal. Obviously if you get this monitor on sale for like $325(I paid), delivered and hopefully with no dead pixel issues or bad panel – congrat’s you are a winner. This is a good deal – very good. I don’t really game much. I had 32 HP OMEN with 60hz refresh rate, and blacks were a little better indeed on that one (a little really means insignificant). My tower is like 20ft away from monitor, so I can’t get it to run at 165hz and HP OMEN worked only at 60hz in 10 bit with my p4000. I get 120hz out of Dell. It’s fine. The real reason I write this review is because I am thankful for one specific feature this monitor has – THE DARK MODE, which means all the lights EVEN THE ANNOYING POWER BUTTON light finally can be turned off. Finally they figured the fact that the power button light is needed only at certain moments.Other than that this monitor is… so far so good (3-4 days, no issues at all). I am glad I got it. Also thanks to Dell for FedEx delivery – and not UPS.

    Dell G3223D Awesome monitors!

I really love these monitors! I bought 3 for my racing sim rig. I think the 1440p resolution is very good for this size monitors. For my setup, my eyes are 27″ away from the middle monitor and there is no screen door effect. I also love the aesthetics of these monitors. The design is subdued and und understated with the back having just enough modern edginess to indicate its gaming performance. I specifically picked these 1440p monitors over 4k due to the triple monitor setup. At this resolution, the RTX3090 is just about able to keep the FPS at 60 to 165 depending on how many other cars are on the racetrack. On my main PC, I am using a 34″ ultrawide with a 24″ side monitor. For daily tasks and regular computing, I still prefer the ultrawide format. The 32″ 16:9 aspect ratio is just wide enough to get 2 windows side by side and still be usable but it’s a bit on the skinny side per window for what I prefer. For my normal computing needs, I really prefer 2 windows side by side on the main display plus a smaller side monitor.I’m a graphic designer and photographer so I’m very picky with monitors’ colors. I did not calibrate my Dells but the colors look very good out of the box. These monitors would definitely be suited for content creation especially with a calibration tool. These monitors have really been great. It has the features most gamers are looking for and the display looks very good.Picture shows 3 Dell G3223D plus a G2724D auxiliary monitor on the top.

    Balling monitor with no issues

buy the monitor its the best priced monitor without some stupid draw back that makes no sense for its price, Alright let me get on to why this monitor is good number 1 freesync premium pro and g sync this means no matter the card you get low frame rate compensation 48hz to 165hz and no longer need v sync or experience stutters. the back light is really high quality at first i thought i had back light bleed at first but nope it’s great so far and no dead pixels. number 2 hdr is okay its hdr 400 which means it has the certification but only does 400 nits, this is important cause hdr needs brightness to work well but i mean it does add a little flare to how much color you can see but dont buy it for hdr. Number 3 is that this monitor is pretty sharp idk the pixels per inch but on the 32 inch its great, I have to put my face within like 6 to 7 inches to see a pixel so for the most part it looks sharp and smooth. the 1440p is the only drawback i can think of cause it looks great, I have tried 4k and 1080p for long periods of time and i gotta say its just like everyone says its a great middle ground and you will notice a bit of an upgrade. Only thing is this sacrifices like 10-15 fps on my 2060 which I dont really care too much but when im running cod maxish settings dlss set to balanced and im only getting 60 I had to adjust my settings but its fine i like it looking sharper then the graphics looking cleaner but just a word of warning for those on lower end (tbh I’m on a 115w 2060 so keep that in mind). another thing to keep in mind set the speed of the monitor refresh rate to the second option i it was called super fast, It has no draw backs and from reviews ive watched online makes the image pretty much have no ghosting and makes the response time around 2.2ish milliseconds but remember don’t do the third as you will get overshoot and dont do the first as its a has a little bit of a trail to it (couldn’t even notice the slight trails before but the millisecond difference between the first mode and super fast is immediately noticeable). Another thing this monitor deserves praise on is the buttons thank god they use a joystick in the back cause before when you had to memorize what every button did was a nightmare. Well thats about it, the monitor is great its also freaking massive I don’t think it registered in my brain how big 32 inchs is cause I thought well thats only a 5 inch difference from my old one so thats another thing you should know but if you do end up buying it you wont regret it.

I’m so glad i got this monitor. I went from a 4k, to a 2k, and the color’s are way better on this one it has.Great ventilation and the rgb lights in the back look nice..Also g-sync work’s really good. There was minimal calibrating to do on this monitor. I highly recommend this Dell..

For the price a great 32” for XBox 120hz

For $300 this is a great looking monitor for 120hz gaming on Xbox. I previously bought two HP X32s and wanted a third gaming monitor so bought the Dell. No dead pixels and very bright.

    Crisp for desktop work

I have 3 monitors on my desk and this is the center largest one. Resolution is good, clarity is great, running at 1920×1080 so I can see the documents (not using for gaming). I may buy two more of these to replace the 27″ side monitors.

    Quality product

This is a high quality, well-built monitor for the price. I like the position of the buttons in the back and the semi-hidden but convenient access to the power button. It has a fast response. Colors are bright and blacks are really black. It’s easy to set up and connect to the computer in minutes. I love it.

    nasty IPS glow

Monitor has decent color, bad HDR, and nasty IPS glow. I got a replacement and it still has bad IPS glow, but the monitor has the combination of features at the price I want and I bought directly from Dell.com and didn’t want to pay a 15% restocking fee, so I’m just dealing with it. Knowing how bad the IPS glow is on this monitor I would have looked elsewhere in my search.Gotta knock this down to 1 star. IPS glow, gray pixels starting to crop up after only a year of use, unusuably dim HDR, and nothing to write home about in any other department. I wish I wouldn’t have bought this monitor.

Make sure you are using a DisplayPort cable if you want speed. This made my new gaming machine a true beast. It arrived in its original Dell retail box so have someone home or a pirate may snag it.

Amazing Monitor for the Money! Wow!

This monitor is outstanding for the money! Large 32″ display, IPS (1ms!), 165hz, amazing color, vibrant, 1440p. I wasn’t sure how much I would like this monitor due to 1440p being ideal for 27″, but after playing games and general use, my fears were put to bed. This thing is AWESOME! Games look colorful, sharp, and just AMAZING! Given the quality of the screen and features, this monitor is an amazing deal.Pros:-Colorful IPS screen. Colors look vibrant and whites look great!-1440p (What I was looking for to allow high framerates on my Nvidia RTX 3080).-Fast! 165hz, 1ms. No ghosting on the extreme setting. Very nice!-32″ big screen-Bright!-USB-C connectivity for laptops, consoles, etc.Cons-HDR 400. I tested this, and it’s not good. At this price-point, you have to expect this. After testing the HDR, I just ended up turning it off.NOTE: The monitor has 2 USB-A ports to plug in peripherals. These only work if a computer is plugged into it via the USB-C port. I wanted to use these to plug in a drawing tablet and USB headphones for my PC. I found out that the only way to make this work is to plug in a long USB-C to USB-A 3.1 gen 2 cable. I plugged the USB-C end of the cable into the USB-C port on the monitor and the USB-A end into the back of my PC. I got an annoying USB message from Windows, but ignored it. All USB devices, included hard drives, now work great plugged into the monitor. If you’re looking for an upgrade from a smaller screen size, don’t want to go to 4K just yet, and want the satisfaction of getting a good value, look no further!!!

    A great all-arounder

I decided to buy this monitor because of the rtings review where the measured pixel response time was highly competitive with the most premium IPS monitors. It doesn’t disappoint on that front. The supposed 1400-1600:1 contrast is a nice thing to have but I wouldn’t say it makes a huge difference over my other panels. The build quality is excellent and I appreciate the option of a monitor without ‘gamer’ ornamentation. The matte coating is very mild and contributes to a nice, sharp picture. I can’t think of any negatives to describe other than things I don’t care for anyway; no speakers, audio jack, usb hub, or backlight strobing feature.

Leaning tower of Dell? [[[[[[[[ 8 panel rating

Post covid world is floundering. Products are flawed, people are desperately selling anything, and the quality graph line is dropping on everything. With that said let’s dig deeper.I knew ordering this during a monsoon season here in CA was on me, and the usual great Dell box was wet and not looking typically awesome. I have an older rare Dell white IPS 32inch monitor, and was $150 a few years ago. Classy looking monitor. It even auto switched activated devices. Cables could easily be pulled and changed in a second or two, and no bells and whistles. The controls are a Rubiq’s Qube to navigate though. This Dell, like my Samsung 4k 32inch monitor, are nightmares when trying to change HDMI, DP, and other wires. Who is designing computers, monitors, and labeling things, BLIND PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES. OMG. Why does everything require a flashlight, headlamp, mirrors, 3000 lumen beams, while holding all these things precariouly leaning over the equipment, and desperately trying to shove the stuff in a dark slot before falling over on it? I defy anyone to perform cable installation or changing before the calendar year flips. I do not think I’m alone in my complaint here.A few good things, price dropped like a rock to $350 with $100 off(why? Stay tuned), picture is high quality with no adjustments out of the box mentioned by others, speaker output is perfectly placed and easy to plug in and out, USBs are fairly accessible on the bottom with some fiddling, on off button is lighted and easy to activate, base is heavy and make the monitor feel somewhat stable and firm, and not nearly as wobbly as my Samsung 32inch. Nice thing about this 2560×1440 Dell, the Windows 11 fonts, sizing, and graphics are much easier to read than my Samsung 4k tiny print. Windows XP AND 7 were a dream for having one place to change how everything looked or made readable. Windows is dumber, less fun, and more complicated, as cell phones become smarter and wiser.LASTLY, here’s why, IMHO, that the price dropped by $100. This Dell, unlike some others I’ve owned, does not allow you to adjust the monitor’s physical leveling. The monitor only moves horizontally and vertcally, but not from landscape to portrait mode. Why is this important, the monitor is about an 1/8th to 1/4 of an inch off from being level!! Have never seen this. You cannot adjust it to level. After much contemplation, loosening screws and retightening, shimming, NOTHING WORKED, and I’m am very good at fixing stuff. How did I fix it? I put one taller base foot temporarily on the right side to mitigate the drooping on that side. Sanding down the rubber feet on the left may work too. OK, on to other problems. I decided to keep it and not return it. Your welcome Amazon. Still a good deal for $350.

    Best of both worlds

My monitor journey seems to be at it’s end thanks to this monitor. I started out my PC career back in 2016 on a Samsung 28″ 4k TN monitor. Looked good back then but the screen tear was awful. Then I bought a 27″ LG 1440p 144hz IPS panel. That was great, but I eventually wanted to try 1080p 240hz. That led me to an Alienware of those same specs. After getting use to the 240, I really couldn’t go back to the 144hz. I could still see tearing at that refresh rate and it drove me crazy. Then I thought I want a 1440p 240hz to have the best of everything. Well unless you spend quite a lot of money, you’re going to be stuck with a VA panel. I did not realize that those had awful flickering, ghosting, due to the VA panel. So now I’m finally on the 1440 165hz IPS bandwagon. This seems to be the best size, resolution, refresh rate, and panel type combo for me. I’m sure there are others out there that will tell you more info, but I wanted to share my thoughts on best all around monitor, and I think it’s this one!

    Monitor Dim, Replacement monitor cracked

Update: The replacement monitor received from Dell has a crack in the bottom right corner, causing the monitor to be unusable. I called for another replacement, and they need the service tag and serial number. This information should be readily accessible to them since it is their replacement.I purchased a monitor from Dell in August 2023, and unfortunately, I encountered an issue in October 2023. The monitor’s display became dim, and the brightness functionality ceased to operate.I contacted Dell customer service to address this matter, and I appreciate the assistance provided. It was communicated to me that a replacement will be issued, and I understand that the replacement unit will be refurbished.Given that I have owned this monitor for just three months, I wanted to bring this to your attention. I am concerned the replacement will meet the same standards of quality as the original product.

    Love the Upgrade

This is my main gaming monitor and it works great. The Refresh Rate doesn’t have to be forced, the recommended resolution just works. This is a dual monitor set-up paired with a 32 inch Samsung. The Samsung is VA with a lot less futures, but the two together work fine for my purposes. The inputs work fine, great even, and I am generally happy with this. It’s been months, and I’ve had no issues, no dead pixels and no bleeding. The colors are vibrant and generally I am pleased with the gaming and non-gaming performance. I would recommend this to anyone, for the right price of course.
