GREAT SPEAKERS AT A REASONABLE PRICE !

We had originally replaced our very old speakers with Amazon Basics ($20 speakers). Not so great, very little range, and we couldn’t get the volume high enough for some movies. The Creative Pebble Plus speakers are wonderful ! We did learn something important — the sub woofer makes a difference. Really great bass quality on music. Overall sound quality is very good. I am so enjoying my music now !

Pretty darn good sound from a $20 pair of little speakers!

Just bought these because I was a bit tired of wearing headphones all the time. I really wasn’t expecting much but it’s nice to be surprised every now and then. The quality on these is much better than I expected! Even the bass is pretty strong which I wasn’t expecting from speakers this tiny. I’m enjoying listening to music more through these than my headphones. These little speakers don’t get extremely loud but I didn’t really want that in the first place as these are just speakers for my desktop computer. Only issue is having to fiddle with the volume knob a lot since videos on YouTube and wherever else have wildly different audio leveling but I guess that can’t be helped. Honestly kind of annoyed that I get better sound quality from these than I do from more expensive headphones I’ve purchased. People are just going to have to put up with my sound echoing in voice calls for a bit, I don’t want to wear my headphones too much now, haha.I’ll update this review if these ever start crapping out.

    fantastic for the price.

exactly what you’re paying for – budget speakers that sound really nice. you’re not going to get good bass or deep tones, but the sound is clear and they work well. easy to set up. would buy again if i had to.

    Works for Me

These were a bit bigger than I expected. Connection was easy with the included USB adapter to connect to my desktop tower. My home system is Bose, but I wanted something cheaper for my computer. I checked around and read reviews and narrowed it down. I am very happy with the sound that comes with these. I was able to listen to Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven by Heart at the Kennedy Center Honors on full blast without distortion, with just enough bass to enjoy the many other instruments. I’m happy with them….

    No issues

I’m not really picky about sound quality and doubt I would notice a major difference between brands, but these worked well for me. They sound fine and were easy to fit in my set up. Couldn’t really ask for anything more for the price.

    Speakers for work

I got these for each office at my work. Quality sound. Works great for music and zoom/google meet calls. Only downside is there’s a lot of cable to work with. Might be beneficial to get some zip ties or some other cable management thing.

    I love these

These small speakers are perfect if you want a fuller sound than your bad laptop speakers.Colorful leds, usb-c connection, sounds better when powered usb-c cable inserted and the volume knob alters the volume level in Windows.

    Good speakers for the price

This is my review of Creative’s Pebble 2.0 Desktop Speakers.I purchased these for one of my Macintosh video-editing suite. I just needed a way to listen to the sound on videos, so that I could perform clip editing. I did not expect much; however, in terms of quality I got more than I expected. These speakers are controlled by two plugs: A USB for power, and a standard 1/4-inch phono plug for the audio. They are pretty much plug-and-play. On my Mac, I plugged them into a USB and phono plug on my desktop, and that was about it.I opened up a video, and they worked straight off. There is a volume control on one of the speakers, so you can adjust to exactly the volume you desire, and even at higher volumes, you get little to no distortion. I am impressed. In my opinion, if you are looking for an inexpensive set of stereo speakers, that deliver good sound quality, look no further.

    After return, works amazing!

When first receiving this product, when we plugged it in the right speaker was making buzzing noises as sound was going through. we ended up returning it and got another one and they sound very nice. they can be very loud, and the smooth volume button is very nice. decent bass and cute little ball design. perfect for a little set up if you’re not an audio enthusiast, but these babies really do sound nice. fills my entire room with the sound and they’re both about the size of a softball if not bigger. 9/10! love these so far!

    Best budget friendly speaker

I’ve tried multiple of speakers under 40$ and you cannot beat the clarity of sound, size, design, sound quality, and base delivery amongst all other speakers in the budget.I’m not an audio geek, but for everyday use for youtube, gaming, and watching drama/movie, this speaker is perfect. Awesome deal and I highly recommend it.

Im rocking in my shop again

So im using a laptop to drive these speakers in a 10 x 30 shop and yep its not as loud as it was when I was rocking a 100 amp sony set up but its loud enough to keep my feet taping to music again. Inexpensive enough for my needs with decent audio quality for my 62 year old ears.

A very good value: music. movies, and general computer use

I compared this little jewel to the more expensive Bose Companion II series 3. This unit has stellar mid range, slightly over bright high end, and decent bass. The Bose unit was somewhat more muffled, perhaps because of a smaller tweeter, and the lack of a subwoofer.Across a wide variety of sound genres this inexpensive 2.2 speaker unit really shines! Vocals, classical, even some bassy tunes all shone through this unit. I’m quite satisfied.4/5 because of the overly bright high end.

Made my desktop workable so I do not have to have a headset in all day!

Use this for my desktop, I spend a lot of time in Zoom meetings and I was sick of having a headset on all day. My other speakers were not loud enough to hear everyone. This works great and setup was a breeze.

    Great value in computer speakers.

For the money paid they can’t be beat. Others may be better but they cost a lot more. Creative has been a top brand for computer peripherals for many, many years.

Nice speakers to use with Apple Mac Minis

I am using these speakers with my 2018 Apple Mac Mini and the setup was very easy. Just plug and play. Mac OS X found the speakers as soon as I plugged them in, and sound volume and quality are very good. Bass level is pretty good as well, considering there is no dedicated sub-woofer. These speakers are very loud, and clarity is pretty good with no distortion. Very happy with these speakers.

    Great small speakers!

I had been looking for speakers that offered a Bluetooth connection, but also a headphone jack – with good sound, and for a decent price. These little speakers are really great! They are easy to use, multiple connections are possible for power. They don’t take up much space on the desk, and even at loud volume the sound is not distorted. Great find!

    Good speaker

For such small speakers, these little things have a good, clear sound. I checked the reviews before buying and felt fairly confident that these would be okay to use with my computer. They are worth the money and I recommend them .

4 years and no issues, regular use

These have some very surprising qualities for the price point. They have endured almost daily use and multiple moves. Still running the same speakers for almost 4 years now. Totally recommend as a small blueprint speaker for your PC or laptop. Cords can be a little messy, and will probably also need to purchase an aux cord extender if using a PC. I went with the amazon basics 3 ft cord. works like a charm

    Nice speakers

Good sound quality and very easy to set up. The lights are nice at night, but I keep it turned off most of the time. Wish I could get more of the bass, but it’s enough for desktop speakers at this price range.

  21. RT Mark

Better than laptop speakers, but still pretty small

These are not bookshelf speakers, so don’t expect them to be. They don’t put out much bass, midrange quality is decent. But they’re tiny, easy to use and affordable. Also they look good, and not like a 13 gamer them.

Probably the best at this size and price point

The speakers are small and easy to fit on my small corner desk that has my gaming rig and the monitor I also attach to my work laptop when working from home. The cables are long enough for flexibility in positioning and management solutions. The sound is much more rich and nuanced than the sound bar I had before and doesn’t have any annoying multicolored LEDs or loud start-up/turn off sounds.Pros:-Simple, efficient design-Smart look that can be appealing in a variety of settings, not just an ADHD-addled gaming rig setup-Surprising depth and clarity of sound (the first time I used them I thought there was an issue because of a hissing noise when I was fighting a battle in an RTS game, when I zoomed in on the map and turned up the volume a bit I realized the sound was rain—never heard that detail before on my sound bar, other background noises like chirps and howls were more audible than before in other games too)-Subwoofer really works for satisfying and impactful explosions-Not too loud for when I am up later than my spouse and child gaming in the nightPotential Cons:-Loud enough to fill a bedroom or office with sound, but probably not a larger room-Wouldn’t effectively double as music speakers for a party as the volume could be easily drowned out by a several talking people-Subwoofer may not fit easily on your desk behind your monitor depending on the setup, may be in the way on the floor-Needs USB, a lot of competition for those ports on laptops or budget desktopsOverall I gave it 5/5 because it is great value for the money and perfectly suited my needs and none of the potential cons applied to my situation; my desktop has a lot of USB ports and these speakers are on a gaming rig that I primarily use in the evening.

Generally Good Speakers, Bad For Music

These are cute, small speakers. They get pretty loud and generally sound clear. They’re worth what you pay for them but there are a few downfalls. They’re not labeled for sides, so they’re easy to place wrong and have your audio jumbled up. The cable that connects the 2 speakers is long, but the cable that goes to the PC is not (and is only on the right speaker) which if you’re like me and have your tower off to the far left, is not ideal. Also loud (or just generally heavy) music is a big no for these as they sound like theyre fading in and out and cannot handle any large amount of bass. But if you don’t need any of that, then these are fine enough speakers for the price.

Which is best?! Comparison of ALL Pebble speakers: V1 vs V2 vs V3

Update: I also bought the v2.1 to test. This is the version with no passive radiator and has the high gain switch and a small bass module that sits under your desk. This model has significantly more head room in the bass section than the v1 and even the v3. These sounded best when utilizing a graphic EQ to push the frequencies below 60hz. The overall timbre of the speaker was very similar to the V1 (read my review below for that). This is hands down the best pebble speaker set. The bass module is not powered but it does provide more headroom and less distortion than “passive radiators” ever could. Best of all it doesn’t color the beautiful midrange and high end of the V1. I ended up keeping these. The V1 is still great for the money. But it’s night and day between the V1 and V2.1 – I think it’s worth the extra for the bass moduleI bought all three pebble speakers: V1, V2, V3. I could not find any good reviews of all three together so here is my attempt – Hope it helps! My back ground I love music, perform live regularly and own speakers from Definitive Tech, Mirage, Hsu Research, etc.V1 – Very transparent sounding top end. Airy, open, detailed are immediate words that come to mind. These speakers nail this sense of “air” on tracks like Eric Claptions Signe (Unplugged). It does so in a way that is honestly shocking for the $18 I paid. These qualities evoke the appropriate emotional reaction to certain music like Norah Jones as the piano notes “float” in the sound stage the way they should and the brushes on the snare have the right shimmer. try these tracks your self to see for your self. Now the con’s against these speakers lean more on the bass side – they severely lack bass response. That being said they also dont pretend to have any – there is no over bloated mid range. In certain pop tracks I found that I preferred using Apple’s “sound enhancer” to accentuate the bass response.V2 – These physically are the same size as the V1 but they have a modified power amp section for a claimed double in wattage at 16 watt peak. They also include a high gain/low gain switch on the bottom of the right speaker. They sound good in both high gain/low gain – the high gain mode has a clear bump in the mid range. You can hear how the high power amp pushes those mid frequencies. There is a noticable increase in mid bass clarity compared to V1. When pushed on tracks like Ingrid Michelson’s The Way I Am – The added mid range bass is a clear advantage. I would not call this “Punchy” Bass however as these speakers are still the same as V1. But the biggest con agains the V2 is the trade off for this slight mid bass is a lack of clarity in the top end. The magic of the V1’s air is lost to the attempt to push the passive radiators to create a sense of low end. Not to mention it costs more.V3 – These speakers were very disappointing to me. They have an even more pronounced muddy top end due to an over accentuated mid range bump. I can see how some could hear this as “more bass” but take my review for what it is – these will not satisfy in the bass section. The worst part is the trade off’s due to physics of having such a small speaker. All of these design choices trade ALL of the top end clarity that existed in the V1. They definitely sound more “boxy” and in your face. None of the subtlety of the V1 exists. These speakers sound like tiny speakers trying to be something they are not. Furthermore they cost double what the V1 are currently priced at. They do have a Bluetooth feature if that matters to you.Note: I also did a blind test with my wife who has a good ear – She also noticed the special clarity of the V1. Also, I did use a high powered USB source for max potential for each of the speakers (I also found little difference between this and using the laptops USB port). For those reviews that talk about more volume – ALL three speakers sound like trash at max volume so I don’t think that should be a deciding factor – all three produce acceptable volume. In conclusion, all three speakers do have very similar frequency responses. They share more similarities than differences. They ALL sound good for what they are: hence the positive reviews for all of them. But after comparing head to head: the V2 and V3 are a compromise in the wrong direction. They are trying to push the wattage of these tiny speakers which can’t handle it in the first place. Do yourself a favor… buy the V1 for $18. If all three were the same price I would still choose the V1 for its clarity and detail. When I closed my eyes this speaker evoked an emotional response from me… when the other two only reminded me of its limitations.

Really good for the size and money.

I picked these up because I have a laptop that I sometimes use for gaming on the road or at a friends house. I normally use headphones with the laptop, but I was finding myself needing actual speakers from time to time. It wasn’t a huge need, so I wasn’t going to spend any big money and these looked good for ‘cheap’ speakers that would just get the job done. I have to say, the result surprised me.First, the overall volume. For such a small set of speakers powered by a single USB, these things have some real volume. They will easily fill a bedroom and then some, they can go quite loud if you need them to. They don’t distort at high volume and they have a good mix of highs, mids and lows. Now, that being said, these are NOT audiophile grade speakers. If you have a trained ear and are used to high end speakers or studio monitors, these are not for you but I assume you already know that as audiophile speakers start at 10x this price range. They are compact, loud and they sound quite good. I have used them to listen to music and play some games and they really deliver in all areas. It’s actually surprising that such sound comes out of such a small speaker.. they’re hands down the best ‘cheap’ PC speakers I have ever heard.. it’s not even close. This is the point where I would post the negatives, but honestly.. for sub $40 with this sound anything I bring up would be a nitpick at best. They’re not the rock bottom cheapest you can get, but if you want something good that doesn’t have a big price tag.. pick these up. They’re surprisingly good.

Best Value Budget Speakers, Hands Down

(Written for the V1 Pebble)As the title suggests, you won’t find better value for your money if you’re on a budget. These are incredible quality for their price.Volume – You can drive these louder than you’d ever want to, no worries here.Sound Quality – I don’t have much reference, but these sound great to me. I can’t find anything to complain about.Build Quality – Better than you would expect for the price. Seems like they’re made to last.Ease of Use – Plug and play as advertised unless you’re looking to use these on Linux (tested on Ubuntu 22.04), but then again, when does Linux not require extra steps. The cable lengths are great, providing lots of flexibility. If you are looking for a cheap way to get audio out of your TV, desktop, laptop, etc. these are the way to go. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Great Little Speakers, Impressive for the Price.

These speakers not only look great, but they pack a great amount of volume for the price. Super simple to set up. Not mind-blowing bass, but more than enough for my purposes. As a music lover and gamer, the Pebble v3 is a top selling speaker for a reason. Well worth the price.

    Excellent with Mac Mini

Needed a budget speaker set for my Mac Mini. Very impressed by the volume and audio quality from these speakers. They are connected directly into the Mac – initially I tried to use them with a dongle but for some reason didn’t work reliably. Have been directly plugged in now for several months and worked flawlessly. Excellent product.

    Surprisingly good sound

Using them for general purpose sound with my computer I find the sound very good. Voices are clear and music is good as well with good bass. They also can get very loud, much louder than I would use with my computer, and still sound clear with no distortion. Audio is via a 3mm stereo plug and power is via USB. I measured the current draw at pretty loud and very loud. At max volume, the current can peak over 1.5A, but even at pretty loud it’s less than 0.5A. Unless you’re maxing out the volume, any normal USB port can power it. The only minor thing is I’d prefer a cube to the spherical form factor. They’re also light and the padded ring on the base doesn’t provide much friction so they slide around easily.

    OUTSTANDING!!! The bass and quality!!!

Wow, for a $50 I feel this rivals some upper tier speakers – the base is deep and the volume of the speakers are insane. Out of sheer amusement I rolled the dial to max and it was ‘too’ loud for me so if you’re jamming at your desktop you’ll feel like at a concert. I have my dream pc and wanted a really decent set of sound to match but not…$200 Bose level and I’m not a musician working with sound software so it’s not super crucial but game and wanted something that’d give me depth. This is an affordable / quality product and per YouTube reviews and comments just know these speakers are bigger than a baseball you’ll need some space! 10/10 would recommend!!!

    Amazing little speaker

I’m very pleased by the sound quality these compact speakers deliver. At just $20, they are an incredible value, worth every penny and then some. Not only do they offer impressive audio performance, but they also add a charming aesthetic to my desk setup with their cute design. These speakers have exceeded my expectations in every way, making them a delightful addition to my workspace.

Excellent speaker, especially for the price!

The Creative Pebble offers excellent sound quality, loud volume, punchy bass, and requires very little space on my desktop. Very comparable in audio quality to the Vizio 3.1 soundbar I used to use, but with the flexibility to put the speakers pretty much wherever I’d like.Installation was simple because you don’t need drivers, just a free USB-A for power and a standard 3.5mm jack for the audio.I had these speakers for less than a day before my wife wanted her own pair as well, so I’ll need to get a second pair so I can take mine back. They’re affordable enough that I actually don’t mind!

    Wow

I ordered these speakers after watching a video about them and was extremely surprised at the sound that came from them. Nice and clear. The bass that came from them surprised me as well. So glad inordrred them.

Great sound for a great price

For as little as the speakers are, they offer a great sound at good volumes for a good price. They’re aesthetically pleasing and easily fit in with my desk.

    Good deal, decent sound

I own better speakers, but for this price I’m not sure you’re going to do much better with a smaller footprint. The left and right speakers are small, but angled in such a way that the sound really spreads out. The subwoofer adds some decent bass. Personally, I would not buy a set without one nowadays. The fact that it’s included at this price from a brand name is pretty great. The set up also makes cord management a lot easier than some similar systems. I have another Logitech system with larger speakers and a subwoofer and it just feels like there are SO many cables to worry about, including a whole separate knob device for volume. This set really minimizes things and all of the cables are ran next to each other. You can easily power it via USB on your computer or from a wall jack too.If you just want some decent speakers, aren’t looking to drop a lot, and are just kind of a normal user who wants their games and music to sound better than what you’re getting from your laptop or monitor, this is a good buy.

    Meh, but sleek.

I recently purchased the Creative Pebble V3 computer speakers, and they’re decent, but they don’t exactly blow me away.Firstly, let’s talk about the sound quality. Given that these are 8-watt speakers, I had low expectations. And in that regard, they delivered what I anticipated. The sound is clear enough for basic computer tasks like watching videos and listening to music at moderate volumes. However, don’t expect them to fill a large room with booming sounds. They’re best suited for personal use in small to medium-sized spaces. The design is where the Pebble V3 shines. They look sleek and modern, and the matte finish gives them a premium feel. The front-firing drivers and passive radiators are a nice touch, too. These speakers easily blend into most desktop setups, and the volume control knob is conveniently located for quick adjustments. What I found needing improvement, though, is the bass. Even with the passive radiators, the low-end response is relatively weak. If you enjoy bass-heavy music or want a more immersive sound experience, you should look elsewhere or consider adding a subwoofer. The Creative Pebble V3 speakers are abundantly mediocre. They serve their purpose as budget-friendly computer speakers for basic audio needs, but they won’t impress audiophiles or those seeking robust sound quality. If you’re looking for a stylish set of speakers for casual use in a small space and need to be more picky about audio depth, these could work for you. Otherwise, consider investing in higher-wattage speakers or a dedicated sound system for a more immersive experience.

    Not bad, good value

These sound decent, and are fine for PCs, especially laptops. A 2.1 would be a big improvement for desktops or tv. I find the shape awkward. However, good value for the price!

    Perfect PC Speakers!!

“ARNOLD” says BUY these speakers!! Clean and easy to setup. USB C powers the speaker and the bluetooth capability was a perfect fit for my needs on this system. I have a Samsung 4K monitor that is both a computer monitor and streaming device. The USB C connection provides sound for the PC and the bluetooth connects easily for the streaming services! Priced right and exactly what I wanted and needed!

    Pretty good!

I got a monitor for Christmas last year without thinking about speakers so I ended up going with these. In general pretty good. Sound quality is surprisingly good and they look at feel really nice for the price. But I do have two complaints:1- the dual USB & audio jack connection is a bit inconvenient. I know this is true for a lot of monitor speakers, I just feel like the less cords the better2- occasionally does weird stuff? Every once in a while it’ll get a weird high pitched noise or won’t connect right away. But it’s very far and few betweenOverall a good budget pick!

    Powerful little speakers.

They have a good cord length. Thumbs up. Reaches to my pc audio and USB port and has a little bit of wire to spare.I also have my hand in comparison to the size of the speakers. They’re also LOUD AF,,,,,,which is good for what I need. They’re a good size and they don’t take up too much space on my desk. I had to use an equalizer to enhance the sound quality a bit (bass, clarity, etc.) but it does sound good by itself as well. They’re not enough to satisfy an audiophile, but you can’t really ask for anything better in this price range. They’re phenomenal, and I recommend this speaker for anyone that’s on a budget. Like me.

Great for normal audio usage during work or gaming.

After doing some research, I bought these speakers as they would replace a Bose soundbar I had been using for a few years, which had broken down.Honestly, I like these speakers. They look fun, and the quality is good. Period.I am an avid gamer, work full-time, and spend many hours daily in meetings. Of course, you will not buy these if you want to have the best sound experience during gaming sessions. Nor will you buy these when you want superb sound for watching movies. These are excellent speakers for all-round computer usage. The sound is good quality, and the subwoofer (a small desktop model) provides extra depth. This is not the kind of subwoofer used to make the bass shake your house but simply to give a better range to the sound you are listening to.If you want a good quality all-round speaker set for your computer, this one will do the job perfectly.

    Absolutely awesome!

I’ve never owned a pair of desktop speakers so your mileage may vary. These are amazing! Much bigger than I thought they would be. Softball size I would guess. Woofer in the back of each. Fantastic sound! I love these. One thing I have noticed is the obnoxious green power light on the front. Actually quite annoyingly bright.. Instead of lowering my 5 star rating I just put a small piece of electrical tape over it and no one would ever know.

Durable little speaker with a fair sound quality at all frequencies for the money…

I like that after two years of abuse, it still works. I like the simple design. I wish it had a bass control. is not that it’s too strong. Other speakers make bass sound too strong ultimately changing the whole music. less wires will be nice.

    Good Quality

These are nice computer speakers–good sound. The instructions for connecting them are too sparse for a non-techy like me. Fortunately, I just had a new computer install and the tech rearranged some of the connections for me.

    Perfect sound for the price

I can’t think of any complaints about the 2.1 setup at its price point. If you are used to bass boosted gear like many earbuds, BT headphones, and other cheap 2.0 speakers, these will sound relatively “empty” at first and it will take some time to adjust. I actually shelved the pebble 2.1’s for over a year because I hated the sound compared to my logi z200’s. I spent that year trying out various other audio gear but recently I decided to reinstall the pebbles and immediately I was impressed by how usable they are next to more expensive gear. These are best used intimately so keep them within arm’s reach. Make sure the drivers are sitting at desk level pointed toward your ears and try to place the tiny sub near a reflective corner to get the most out of it.If the bass is still lacking, you can install equalizerAPO and add a low shelf filter of +X dB and balance it out with a matching preamp of -X dB so it won’t clip the sub. It can get pretty meaty for a 4″ sub but I personally haven’t felt the need for extra bass in my setup.Other gear used for context: hifiman deva pro, sennheiser hd560s, edifier s350db, samsung hw-t510, sony ht-st5000, hertz/JL car system

    Works Fine – Good Value

I got these to use with a Mac mini (which has a lousy speaker). Used most for talk not music. These are described as having a USB connection – it isn’t made clear that the USB connection is for power – not the audio signal. So, you don’t have to plug in the USB cable to the computer – any USB power brick works fine,.

    Small yet powerful laptop speakers

While very small, the sound quality and volume these produce are impressive. Will they fill a large area with immersive sound? No, but for what they are intended, I am very happy with them.

    Good speakers for the price

These are pretty good speakers, the sound quality could definitely be a bit better but I’m not disappointed. They’re quite small, can run off a single USB C cable, and get plenty loud. For a basic pair of computer speakers I don’t think you could expect much more.

    Great, for what they are

The audio sounds great, crisp, and is nice and balanced. That said, I would have liked the bass to have a little more punch to it though – I know the speakers are capable. For a two speaker setup though, at this price point and size, I doubt you could find a better option. I connected the USB audio connection to a powered USB hub, and I did not see any performance improvement when I connected the USB PD power connection (which I guess is good? I can now just have one connection). I installed the creative app, but don’t really see much value to it unless you’re planning on using the mic inputs for communications. I would have liked to see some kind of a tone or EQ adjustment in the app.I might consider running the audio through a sub into the AUX input in the future for some added depth

    Nice

I needed a set of stereo speakers for my new Dell XPS computer and after reading reviews, ordered the Creative Pebble Plus (2.1). Placed the left and right channels speakers 3 feet apart on my desk top with the small subwoofer underneath the desk. Wow, the sound is clear and stereo imaging superb. Excellent all round speakers for the price. Since there is no protective grill over any of the drivers, be careful not to poke your finger into the speaker cones.

Sound is excellent; USB power draw can be an issue

Bought these for use with an USB KVM. USB KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse switch) turned out to be unpowered. While they did work, they often drew enough power to kill the KVM (causing my source computer to lose Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor connections).I tried adding a powered USB Hub, but then the computer couldn’t detect the speakers. I wound up connecting the speaker via Mini-DIN through my HDMI Monitor – which seems to work okay.Having said all that – very happy with the sound quality; if I were using them with a single computer instead of my KVM workstation setup, they’d be great.

    Best Bang For Your Buck

It’s obvious given the number of reviews there are but for the price there is no beating the V3. The Bluetooth is great and not delayed and overall the speaker quality punches way above its weight. My only issue, similar to other reviews is that I wish the length of the power supply was longer by about a foot or so. Otherwise you aren’t going to find a better speaker at this price, and if you’ve got the extra money the pro’s are awesome when powered at 30W. Heard them at a friends house and they’re a great value.

Perfect Speakers – Small Footprint – Great Value

This review is for the 2.0 version. I did not purchase the ones with the sub. If bass is important, maybe look at paying a little more for the ones with the sub. I got these speakers because I was tired of wearing headphones during meetings for work, and while playing the occasional game. They were short enough to fit under the monitors on my desk – so they don’t occupy any additional (usable) space. They sound good enough for both scenarios I already listed. If I need better, I will throw on my amplified studio headphones. These go plenty loud for normal PC usage. There are many better options if you are looking for stereo replacement or to rattle windows while being shot at. They also come with the USBc to USBa converter if you don’t have USBc port(s) on your computer. These are a great value!

Unbeatable for the price (base model)

For $18 (or even the $24 base price) these speakers are absolutely unbeatable. Unless you’re wanting to spend north of 10x that amount, save your money and just grab these. I use these for work, listening to music and podcasts, watching movies, and gaming, and honestly, they’re great for when I don’t want to wear my headphones but want decent quality sound.Like the vast majority of people I’m somewhere between “I just want to hear it” and “audiophile who won’t spend less than $500 on a set of speakers processed through a modulator” and these honestly sound great for what they are. Don’t expect studio-quality speakers, don’t expect them to beat my $300 headphones. Expect a solid set of small form factor desk speakers for your office and you’re going to be impressed.I’m so impressed with the base model I may get the V3 version with bigger drivers for my travel office (I work out of 2 offices on different continents)

Impressive Audio Clarity in a Compact Package

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Creative Pebble 2.0 USB-Powered Desktop Speakers, and I must say, I’m quite impressed with what these small speakers have to offer. As someone in search of a compact audio solution for my desk setup, the Pebble 2.0 speakers exceeded my expectations in several ways.Design:The Pebble 2.0 speakers sport a minimalist and modern design that blends seamlessly with any desktop environment. Their unique spherical shape adds a touch of elegance, and the matte finish prevents fingerprints and smudges. The fact that they are USB-powered is a huge convenience, eliminating the need for an additional power adapter.Audio Quality:Given their compact size, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of audio performance. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the audio clarity these little speakers deliver. The mid-range frequencies are well-balanced, allowing for clear dialogue in videos and podcasts. While the bass isn’t thunderous, it’s present and adds depth to the audio. High frequencies are crisp, though they can occasionally become slightly harsh at higher volumes. Overall, the audio quality is impressive for speakers of this size.Volume and Projection:The Pebble 2.0 speakers offer a decent volume level for their size, making them suitable for personal listening at your desk. They are not intended to fill a large room, but they do a good job projecting sound within their intended range. If you’re looking for speakers to use in a larger space, you might want to consider other options or pairing these with a subwoofer.Ease of Use:Setting up the Pebble 2.0 speakers is a breeze. The USB connectivity means you simply plug them into a USB port, and they’re ready to go – no need to worry about power cords or wall outlets. The built-in volume knob is a convenient touch, allowing you to adjust the sound quickly without having to adjust settings on your computer.Final Thoughts:The Creative Pebble 2.0 USB-Powered Desktop Speakers offer a compelling audio solution for those seeking compact speakers that deliver surprisingly clear sound. While they may not replace a dedicated audio system for larger spaces or audiophile-level experiences, they excel at providing an immersive listening experience for your desk setup. The sleek design, hassle-free USB power, and decent audio quality make them a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their workspace with better sound.

I should have grabbed the Plus version

I love everything about the V1s. They sound great, and even have a tiny amount of bass. But you quickly realise just how much difference a subwoofer makes. If I can justify the purchase I will definitely get the plus version.Overall, if you only need sound quality and directional audio, these are perfect, and small enough for most desktops. Really clear sound, and decent features for a budget set. If you need a subwoofer get the plus version as it is a hard deal to beat.

Best PC speakers at this price point

Excellent and clear sound quality, and a nice unique look compared to other speakers. They seem much higher quality than they’re priced. Sound quality at midrange and higher is excellent, though they lack depth in the bass range (you could have guessed this based on the size and cost). Can’t complain about the easy setup either. The only things I’d change are adding Bluetooth compatibility and the ability to connect something that would provide better bass. Still, I understand why neither of those is included given the price of the system.

    Great sound and functionality

These speakers have exceeded my expectations regarding sound quality and volume, and they work exactly as I needed them to.The main reason I chose them is that they are not only USB-powered, but the audio signal is also sent through the USB connection. I didn’t want to have to connect an additional aux cable to my laptop. In addition to that, they can also receive the audio signal by Bluetooth, which means that I can switch from the audio of my laptop to that of my desktop very easily without even having to unplug the USB cable (it can continue receiving power from the laptop but establish a Bluetooth connection with my desktop for the audio signal).A great product that I definitely recommend.
