Only some buttons will sync
Poor instructions or poor product. On/off synced after one or two tries. After about five more tries, volume up would work, but none of the rest. After about an hour of additional tries, we gave up, returned the item, and bought a different brand. Very frustrating.

Easy to use and set up. Great Value for money.
I ordered this for my mother who has dementia and was struggling with a remote with lots of small buttons. This remote is great. It is easy to set up once I realized you had to program each button both up and down. It is so easy for my mother to use. I was going to order a more expensive remote but as I wasn’t sure how my Mum would handle it I went for the more reasonably priced Tab Time. I am glad I did. It works and is great value for money.

après plusieurs mois d’utilisation : GENIAL. compliqué pour configuré mais une fois qu’on a pris le plis c’est top. on l’utilise tous les jours cela a remplacé notre télécommande vieillissante. c’est ultra simpliste ne lui en demandé pas trop mais honnêtement pourquoi on avait pas acheté ça avant !!! “it’s a must have”Vous pouvez configurer chaque bouton comme vous le souhaitez. elle récupère très bien les signaux de vos télécommandes : comme je disais juste un peu compliqué de prendre le plis pour configuré mais cela vaut le coup de faire un petit effort.Elle est super solide j’arrête pas de la faire tombé 😀

Simple to use and does the job!
We bought this for an elderly neighbour who has macular degeneration. It was quite simple to set up after linking it to the TV’s original remote. She has found it so much easier to use compared to the other remote control. It only has limited functionality but it has everything she needs, and she is delighted with it.

Leider funktioniert die Fernbedienung bereits nach 3 Wochen der Nutzung nicht mehr richtig. Es überspringt die Sender zwei -oder mehrfach. Schade!

Besser wäre ohne “Tastenwiederholung”
Im Prinzip ist die FB prima. Aber alle Senioren, für die ich diese FB besorgte, haben Probleme nur kurz auf die Tasten zu drücken. Sie lassen den Finger lange drauf und die FB sendet wiederholt das gewählte Signal, mit der Konsequenz, dass der TV einige Sender weiter springt oder z.B. die Lautstärke auf 0 geht. Besser wäre, wenn die FB beim Tastendruck nur einmal ein Signal sendete.

Purchased for my mum who is registered blind and can’t get used to overcomplicated tv remotes. Very easy to set up. She finds it so easy to use because of the big blue buttons on a white case.

Godsend!
I bought this for my elderly neighbour who has been constantly asking me to ‘fix’ his TV. It has eliminated the random button pressing that was causing the problem and he seems very pleased with it. The big buttons are great and it was fairly easy to programme once I had the hang of it. I did consider a more expensive brand, but I really couldn’t imagine how it could be superior to this one. Thank you for something that is helping an older person maintain more independence and reducing my stress levels considerably!

Much easier for elderly
Slightly tricky to program. Trick is to make sure you are holding the new remote and original remote very close while programing. Power button can only be programed for one device. Either the TV or the cable box. Extra button labeled F can be used as an additional power button for the second device. I programed the power button for the TV and the F button for the cable box. Much simpler for elderly. No extra buttons for them to change the input or anything else to screw things up.

Clone your keys
Some users have complained that this isn’t programmable in the sense that other types can select brands and then correctly assign keys. This remote needs a working remote and what it does is it copies or clones the keys to whatever you wish. For example volume up volume down but it seems that this thing can copy almost any key and maybe from almost any remote I haven’t tried it on a mini split remote but I bet it would copy it.If you don’t have the original remote then you’ll have to buy a remote that can be programmed by code and then if you wish to use this big button you could copy it from that.

Seems to work ok but MUST have original remote to program.
This one was easy to program and get working, but if you have lost your original remote this will not be for you. There is no way to search through common brand codes. It learns button by button from the original remote control.

Junk TV Remote
Fussy to program, and the Channel Up and Down buttons don’t seem to use a “Debounce” electronic circuit, so one press jumps two channels instead of one as the press echos in the circuit. Basic button application electronics oversight. Poor design. Maybe I’ll gut it for some components to use in my own projects. As it came to me, it’s not at all fit for its intended use, which was to control my TV with. Volume control, and mute work. Channel “Up & “Down” buttons skip channels two at a time. As is, the most expensive AAA batteries I’ve ever purchased.

If you are looking for a product that is easier for a memory care patient this is it. The color makes it easy to see on dark furniture. With less buttons to confuse and put extra stress on the patient. Would highly recommend.

Simple and effective
Instructions are not quite correct as they say press the power and chanel up buttons simultaneously until red LED flashes: the LED doesn’t flash. When the LED is on, press the button to program on this remote, point your old remote LED to LED and press its corresponding button, only now does the LED flash. Continue holding the existing remotes button until LED stops flashing. Repeat for all buttons.For this minor issue I have knocked 1 star off but once set up the remote works perfectly and is simple enough with the basic power, chanel and volume buttons. Its a simple, very basic remote that hopefully will be ideal for my wife following her stroke which has given vision and cognitive problems.

Good, but a pain to set up
It does it’s job well with an extra button you can program to whatever you want.Setting it up, though… ARGH!!!! I noticed a lot of people commenting on this. I think the trick is:Hold down the On and / buttons for 3 secs. Let go. Hold down the button you want to set for 3 seconds. Let go. Face controller you want to copy toward it about 3-5cm away. Hold down the button on the controller you want to copy for 3 secs*. Let go. Wait until everything stops flashing. Wait 3 seconds. Repeat with the next button.* If the main controller doesn’t flash quickly, wait 30 seconds and try again.Those 3 seconds seem to make all the difference!The manual does include a link to a video, but there’s no mention of needing to hold the buttons for a few seconds.

Does the job
I got this for my father who finds a regular remote too confusing. It works well but one not of caution – when your teaching the new remote it will learn a slightly different lesson depending on how you press the button on the old one.For example, if you tap the ‘volume up’ button on the old remote, the new one will mimic that and only change the volume when the user taps the volume up button; conversely if you hold down the volume up button on the old remote, the new remote will only respond to a sustained press on the new volume up button. So if you’re not careful you might program ‘Volume up’ to be changed by taps and ‘Volume down’ to be changed by sustained pressure. Which is obviously confusing.

Mother in law well in the grasp of this nasty disease. Was unable to manage her remote controls resulting in multiple re scans and other issues. So i bought this and its ideal. She cannot go wrong and cannot do anything to the tv settings. If i could find a way of her stop hiding it now it would be perfect. Such a sad sad disease. But this remote is a great help👍

Aunque lleva un tiempo programarlo, funciona muy bien y es fácil de manejar para un anciano. Los botones son enormes. Por poner un pero, yo le quitaría el botón de “mute”, ya que no es de uso frecuente.

Diese Fernbedienung ist eine echte Erleichterung! Und zwar nicht nur für alte, sondern für alle Menschen, die von den 532 Tasten ihrer Fernbedienung nur einen Bruchteil brauchen. Oder die zwei Geräte haben, deren Funktion, die sie inne haben, von einer FB bedient werden können. Hier kommt die Lernfähigkeit als Riesenstärke zu Tage. Beachten Sie, dass das aber nur funktioniert, wenn die original FB funktionstüchtig ist! Als Ersatz taugt diese FB nicht, sie ist nicht vorprogrammiert. Da sehen Sie sich lieber die Universal-FB von anderen Herstellern an, die haben auch vereinfachte FB im Programm.Die FB kommt in einem schlichten braunen Karton mit Batterien. Auf dem Karton ist ein Aufkleber mit einer Hilfeadresse über die sie eine Videoanleitung aufrufen. Nicht, dass Sie die unbedingt brauchen, denn die beigelegte Anleitung beschreibt zwar knapp aber präzise, was zu tun ist um die Funktionen der original FB zu übertragen. Sie ist jedoch recht klein gedruckt, das kann für manchen zum Problem werden. Der Stern, den ich dafür abziehen würde, wird wegen der Online-Hilfe wieder gutgeschrieben.Verarbeitungstechnisch zeigt sich die FB nicht überragend, aber solide. Mittelklasse Kunststoffgehäuse mit großem Spalt zwischen den Schalenhälften, aber ohne scharfe Kanten oder Grate. Gut fühlbare Gummitasten mit einem etwas undefinierten Druckpunkt, der aber noch für die Rückmeldung ausreicht, dass die Taste gedrückt wurde.So, was macht man jetzt damit? Beispiel 1Zum Beispiel ersetze ich damit die lächerliche Checkkarten-FB meines Digital-Analog-Wandlers (optisch/BT auf LineOut). Die hat gleichgroße, viel zu kleine und dicht beieinander liegende, bescheidene Gummitaster. Einige sind funktionslos, andere brauche ich nicht (Musikwiedergabe über USB-Stick)Setup an der FB: Ein/Aus ist Ein/Aus, Volume regelt die Lautstärke des Wandlers, damit ich nicht jedesmal zu meinen Aktivboxen latschen muss. Ch- schaltet auf optisch, Ch+ schaltet auf BT und – falls ich es doch mal brauchen sollte, schaltet “F” auf Coax-Digitaleingang. Alles was ich brauche, auf einer ergonomisch brauchbaren FB.Zweites Beispiel:Für einen Bekannten habe ich von zwei Fernbedienungen (Samsung TV / TechniSat Receiver) die Funktionen auf die TimeTab übertragen, die der Bekannte braucht. Trotz Markenhersteller sind die mitgelieferten FB im Prinzip für die Tonne. Zu kleine Tasten, zu unübersichtlich, und wie Samsung auf die Idee kam, die Taste für die Eingangsquelle direkt neben die Ein/Aus-Taste zu packen, bleibt deren Geheimnis. Mein Bekannter war dauernd genervt.Setup an der FB: “Ein/Aus” schaltet den TV ein und aus, die “Mute”-Taste habe ich zum Ein/Aus des Receivers umfunktioniert, Volume regelt die Lautstärke des Fernsehers, “CH-” und “Ch+” blättern durch die TV oder Radio-Programme des Receivers. Bei den paar Programmen, die der Bekannte überhaupt schaut bzw. hört, reicht das Vollkommen. Die “F”-Taste schaltet den Receiver von TV zu Radio um.Zack! Zwei miese FB können in den Schrank wandern, und ein glücklicher Mensch hat wieder volle Kontrolle über seine Geräte. Ohne, das auf der FB noch umgestellt werden müsste, welches Gerät jetzt zu bedienen. Das ist eine sehr elegante Lösung.So, warum denn jetzt nur 4 Sterne?Als ich die TimeTab gekauft habe, hat die knapp 12 Euro gekostet. Jetzt kostet sie 20 Euro. Das finde ich happig. Für so einen Preis erwarte ich deutlich bessere Tasten und auch ein hochwertigeres Kunststoffgehäuse. Dabei wollte ich jetzt, da ich den TV eigentlich nur noch brauche, um vom Stick zu streamen, meine LG-FB in Rente schicken, schade.Mit der Seki easy finden Sie ein ähnliches Produkt für unter 12 Euro, die wäre mir aber zu groß. Ich habe in der Bucht eine Amplicomms X241 für 7 Euro geschossen.Generell werden auf Produkte, die einen Hauch von Seniorenfreundlichkeit haben, inzwischen heftige Aufschläge getätigt. Finde ich uncool, Hersteller und Vertriebler glauben wohl, dass alle Senioren in Geld schwimmen.Gilt z.B. auch für “Senioren-Smartphones”, die über eine mäßig optimierte GUI verfügen, aber in der Regel technischer Kernschrott sind.

Ich habe diese Fernbedienung für meine 85 jährige Mutter gekauft. Mit fortschreitender Demenz ist sie tagesformabhängig sehr schnell von zu vielen Tasten auf einer Fernbedienung überfordert.Diese Fernbedienung hier ist sehr leicht zu bedienen und leistet ihren Dienst auch an etwas schwierigeren Tagen.

Lo he comprado para mis padres, que son mayores y con el mando original de hacían un lío y cada tres por dos desconfiguraban la TV. Con este mando, no hay posibilidad de que cambien la configuración de la TV. Mis padres están encantados con este mando. Después de un mes de uso, funciona bien, habrá que ver con el paso del tiempo.La forma de copiar los botones del mando original a éste es muy sencilla y rápida, viene bien explicado en las instrucciones
