Troubleshooting:
- Video signal transfer only, can’t improve the video quality.
- RCA to HDMI is NOT a bidirectional converter. It only transmits the signal from AV to HDMI.
- Please remember to connect USB power cable before use this AV TO HDMI
- Will not convert audio only. For converter to function properly, all cables must be connected and in use (yellow: video, white: left audio, and red: right audio).
- If you connect to a Wii game console, please set the video resolution to 50Hz.
Q1: It is a Bi-direction converter?
No,it only transmits the signal from RCA to HDMI, Does NOT support HDMI to RCA.
Q2: My old RCA DVD with poor video quality,it will improve the video quality when I connect to the HDTV?
No.The converter transfer video signal only, can’t improve the video quality.
Q3: Why my screen is blue?
It maybe caused by poor connect ,pls replace the rca cable and hdmi cable ;this converter only support 1080P@60HZ, if you set to 4K resolution ,pls adjust the resolution from 4K to 1080p to make it work.
Q4: Why the TV screen says “no signal” ?

Don’t throw out those old videos
This product works exactly as the description said it would. It was easy to connect up and get it working. My wife wanted the grandkids to be able to watch some of the old classic videos we have. Highly recommend.

It works but…..
It works, but not for Nintendo 64 cables tryed many with the unit, no luck. N64 cables used work on my old TV (1998 Toshiba 20 inch)

Easy to use
I got this because I wanted to connect my Wii so I could replay Pokepark. However, I own modern television that does not have an RCA input. The instillation was easy and it works great! The quality is a little lower, but that’s to be expected because the console and game are both very old.

This item does what it says; however, if you are using it for gaming there will be a noticable delay between your pushing buttons on controller to response on screen. The screen lags behind in the conversion some how.

It is ok
If you are desperate for a cheap convert to hdmi until you can get something better It is fine. Picture will be blurry on 1080p monitors/tvs even in 720p mode. The sound has some issues though, after a while you can get some buzzing fizzing noises. I went around this by circumventing the audio out cables with cables that i plug audio out cables in to that go in to a 3.5 jack (idk what they are called) and used the direct audio from there instead of the audio that goes through the box.. I am just lucky enough to own a couple of these cables..

Solution for older VCRs with modern televisions with no RCA analog inputs.
Modern televisions sometimes don’t include RCA analog inputs. Ideal solution is to convert older analog devices, such as VCRs to HDMI format.

Feels not as sturdy as you’d want it to… the above description is so long that I didn’t realize it doesn’t come with the HDMI cord nor a power block. Bought this to hand down my old Wii to my nephews so I’m on a hope and a prayer that it’ll hold up.

A must have.
I needed this as I have an older DVD player but have a new 75″ TV. The hook-up is simple…unfortunately I put the TV on the wall and it was a little troublesome to attach the HDMI connection…but that is not the fault of the converter. I am enjoying watching some of my old DVD’s and this converter made it happen at a very reasonable price.

Stretches 4:3 image to fit 16:9
Got two of these and one came without micro-USB cable (other cable was not particularly high quality, but for power, works fine. Setup is fine, selector for 720 / 1080 is also fine. Latency is low and there is some edge tearing with quick motion – not unexpected, particularly at this price point. Converts NTSC 480i (4:3 aspect ratio) to 720p or 1080p in 16:9, but instead of adding black bars to either side (as most conversions will), this unit stretches the image to fit 16:9. Looks fine if “hotel TV from 2016” is your quility benchmark, but most of us have moved on to preserving the proper aspect ratio. There are multiple ways to compensate for this and depending on your application, this may be a non-issue. In truth, I can live with the result, but would have been nice to know what to expect before purchase.

Works Perfectly

Not amazing but gets the job done
This product will allow you to use your old standard definition devices on high definition television sets. Now while it will upscale the image, if you are looking to play retro consoles with it understand that it doesn’t provide the best image quality since it is upscaling composite video. I only purchased this as a stop gap solution until I can my hands on a retrotink 5x.

Meh. It works, I guess.
It works. Quality is awful, but it works. Bought this because new high end TVs are shipping without component inputs and I went and bought a PS2 without checking because I just assumed they’d be there. Anyway, this thing sucks, but it does technically do what it says it will. Just not very well… I have two OLEDs, one with component. When I plug the PS2 into the one with component it looks perfectly acceptable. When I plug it into the one without component using this converter, it looks very low quality by comparison. Usable, sure, but everything is grainy and off.Buy it if you must. Maybe keep looking for alternatives.

Great deal for the price
Video quality isn’t great but I didn’t expect it to be as I was using it to go from a Wii to ÚSB on new 65″ smart TV. Item works perfectly but the one complaint I would make is that it doesn’t come with an AC adaptor. It does come with a USB cord (one foot – lol) that you can plug into an AC adaptor. Luckily, I had an old phone charger I could use. Overall, a fine product for the price.

Great for older electronics
I bought a VHS player because I was cleaning my basement and found old VHS tapes from my parents and needed a way to connect it to my TV. After looking around I found this product. I was a little worried initially when ordering but after it arrived my attitude change. This works as well as you would expect and makes it so I can watch these videos with my parents again. Do keep in mind that you need to also have this plugged into an outlet or the converter will not work. I would recommend this product to people who are looking to hook up any older electronics like a VHS player or old gaming consoles.

Cuts out if it doesn’t like your composite video signal
May not work for whatever device you are converting from if the composite signal isn’t strong 100% of the time. For me, I had a vintage computer and the composite signal isn’t fantastic, so the upscaler will flicker and lose the signal.

Look ma, no quarters!
I had an old NAMCO joystick game box with 8-bit 80s arcade games on it. RCA cables won’t go into today’s (or even yesterday’s) HDTVs. Picked up this little guy and it worked perfectly. Now, you will need an HDMI to HDMI cable. It comes with power via USB, but not HDMI cable. I had a short one laying around and it worked perfectly. This converter was super affordable and turned an old game device from retro decor to fully playable in about 2 minutes. Highly recommend.

Works well but has an issue
It works well and is easy to set up. The only issue is that if the ingoing signal is not perfect it will not show a picture. I used it for a VCR and if the tracking goes wonky for a moment the output goes blue no signal. Took me a while to figure out why I did not have picture when I first set it up. Other than that is is a great deal/product.

Good for watching not so good to listen as audio very poor.
Really not any fault with this just can’t get good audio so crank it up too full volume. Does work as far as connecting older VHS, DVD, etc. Haven’t tried games. I don’t subscribe to any TV/internet channels so for commercial free for me it’s DVD.

Wish it was better quality output
Works great, you just plug everything in and it displays. I use it to connect my Wii to my monitor and although there is a switch for 720p or 1080p it doesn’t look like it changes anything when switched. For 1080p it looks pretty pixelated or low resolution. Don’t know if that’s the Wii or the adapter but I’m pretty sure a it’s not my monitor as the display is great with anything else.

Not for making AV better looking
I didnt know what this converter was for untili used it. No visible difference for retro games like N64. Because that isnt what its intended for.Use for TVs that do not have AV outlets

Utter simplicity–plug and play.
I have been struggling to find a solution to play old family videos and this worked beautifully, literally 60 seconds out of the box and I had great picture and sound. If your HDMI device doesn’t have sound you can always run the sound from the camera or VCR to a different speaker using an RCA to 1/8th inch audio adapter.

This was a great accidental purchase.
I bought this device by accident (Not exactly what I needed) but kept it. Recently, I needed to convert an old DVD player into the inputs of a new Smart TV. This device did the job and very well, in fact! The basic outputs of the DVD player were analog Red, White, Yellow outputs but the TV didn’t have the same for inputs so this device saved the day. This was a pleasant mistake that I may make again!
