    Great for price

Good monitor for price, using for Xbox series x and pc. Both work wonderfully and have had 0 issues with it. The speakers on the monitor are pretty bad but I just use a external speaker set up anyways.

Great performance and screen – meh HDR

I have tried and compared several 32″ VA and IPS 1440p 144Hz+ monitors and out of all of them, the ASUS TUF 32″ 1440p 165Hz (VG32VQ1B) has the best balance of cost, performance, and quality. The Pros:Deep blacks, good contrast (superior contrast to an IPS panel), great color for a VA panel, excellent refresh rate (165), quality materials, lots of fine tuning options, gentle curve for immersion.Cons: like most all other VA panels, this one is not immune to ghosting (google if you do not know what that is), black screen uniformity is Meh (more on that below), colors are a little subdued but better after calibration, orange stand by light is pretty bright. The panel that came the closest to this one, for me, was the Samsung G5 32″ but the G5 is dimmer than this one. There are brighter panels out there in this range – the Gigabyte M32QC for example – but this is one of the brighter VAs.Overall, I am happy with this for gaming, media, and music production work. I will let you know that I am returning the first one I received as after a few hours of use, it developed a hot spot in the upper left corner. I game in a dim room so it is very noticeable. I am hoping the next one is just fine. I really like this unit. The only thing that could be better is the color and light output. It claims to be an HDR monitor but really it just can accept the HDR signal. Its not really bright enough to do true HDR. I wish they were not marketing it as an HDR panel. If you are on the hunt for a good HDR display, you are going to have to shell out more money for a next tier unit.Good luck on your monitor search.

    Pleasant Surprise

As far as the display, I was well aware of what I was buying but when I actually hooked it up, I got the additional pleasant surprise of discovering it also has built in speakers. Most monitors I have bought don’t have that so I was impressed that this one did. As far as the picture is concerned, it is exactly as advertised and easy to operate and navigate the menus.

    Totally Satisfied

I replaced a 34 inch curved Viotek gaming monitor that didn’t last past the 3.5 year mark. I am amazed at the quality and responsiveness of this Asus TUF monitor. Sure, it does have some backlight bleed at left and right viewing angles but, guess what, I’m the only one using this and I’m sitting directly in front of it. It is great in all aspects of color, response, contrast and all the other settings that I did not have to play with in order to get a great picture. By the way, the backlight bleed can be overcome with a little tweaking of the Gamma and contrast controls. This monitor works well with AMD Adrenaline and NVIDIA monitor software. I would definitely recommend this monitor for my gaming clan.

    First impressions… maybe buy this

First impressions of this monitor in regards to build quality is very nice. The monitor and stand are very sturdy and seems to hold/distribute the weight well. The stand itself is on the large side, but in our case it didn’t matter as we mounted it via vesa mount to the wall. The ability to move and adjust the monitor to the right height and angle is also a feature that I take for granted as the other monitor I have doesn’t do any of that and is a giant pain in the a$$.In regards to the panel itself, I checked the backlight bleed and it is very very minimal. There is slight bleed on the top right and lower left corner, but it is hardly noticiable which I will let slide. There is also what looks to be like a stuck or dead pixel in the top right. I haven’t tried getting this unstuck (if it is), as it is not in my main viewing area and wouldn’t be seem by a naked eye just looking at something on the monitor anyways. My main gripe with this monitor having only owned it for 1 day now is the actual colors of it. Coming directly out of the box it was set on “racing mode” apparently for racing, but the colors just looked dull and not quite right. To even get a slight color acuracy you need to change it with the clunky OSD feature on the right hand side of the monitor. (This could be an issue for someone who has a monitor on the right hand side) Cinematic seems overly bright, but does improve the colors. For now, I will keep it and try to calibrate it more for the colors. I have not got to game on it just yet, but fully intend to update this review once I get to experience it a little more.

    Great monitor, Good price

I did tons of research on 27″ 1440p Monitors and this is the only one that seemed worth my money that did break nearly 600$I see a ton of reviews on some issues that I absolutely believe are due to not being able to get their monitor configured properly, I think Asus could have done a better job with this Monitor’s confusing GUI that has settings in odd places and kinda buried.Color reproduction is great, response rate is great, And it can get very, very bright.Blacks are not really black at all and so far I haven’t noticed HDR improve anything but that could be the Video Ive tested so far, I’m honestly not sure I haven’t had HDR until now.The stock color settings suck, Ive only used SRGB & FPS mode, You CAN customize the color profile of these profiles as well, But you have to back out of the color profile you chose and go into the color settings. If your monitor looks blurry, The monitor has a setting called “Vividpixel” and my monitor from the factory came with this set at like 20 and my games looked absolutely horrible, I thought my game was running at 1080p res before finding this setting. I put it at about 60.Gotta mess around with it a lot to get settings that work correctly for you and your use case, There are multiple settings that disable options, enable options, change brightness and contrast as well as color depending on what you are changing. Its a bit frustrating to want to try out other options with it when you have to completely redo your settings to test out a new one because its changed so much.I think this monitor is great for its price, Its interface is just crazy and it has a lot of settings that tie together. If I wanted a better monitor I’d be stuck with spending a lot more or having crazy bad backlight bleed or ghosting issues, I couldn’t find a better monitor that fit my needs for under 400$ that was 27″ and Curved High refresh rate.

    Solid Monitor

I bought this on amazon Wearhouse but I believe it was new/unused. This monitor has been great for gaming for me, CoD, LoL, Apex, red dead, Fifa. Im not a huge gamer/tech guy so maybe the screen isn’t that great for some, but for me, I think the colors and display are great. My one complaint is the speaker sound is absolute trash, like almost unusable, thankfully I have another monitor and a headset so its not a huge deal, but if this was my only monitor, I would be much more upset by this. I read online that it is a common issue with this monitor. As for the curve, I have no idea if it does anything but its cool haha

Coming from 1080p, this 1440p is AWESOME

I was not expecting this monitor to perform this well. It is GORGEOUS coming from 1080p, and the colors as well are amazing! This isn’t even one of the super expensive OLED panels but it is a massive step up for anyone wanting a great starting or budget 1440p screen. The UI for changing the settings is intuitive to move around in but some options are only available in certain modes, but that is the only complaint about the product I really have. As for the marketing, I do not appreciate the hype about HDR when the panel doesn’t get super duper bright. HR10 is a super wide standard and monitors that are under 500nits of brightness don’t look good with HDR on, so I keep it off.

    Great monitor but…

Elmb and adaptive sync DO NOT work simultaneously. The advertising explicitly stated they do but that’s incorrect.Brightness is too low with elmb on so I only use adaptive sync. No fault of the monitor though, that’s just the tradeoff with elmb.

    One of My Prized Possesions

I love this monitor, not too big like ultrawide, 165 Hz, and has 2k resolution. Can’t ask for more than that! It’s been working for years and I hope for many years to come. It’s expensive but if you’re a gamer, it’s worth the price!

    Enjoying this monitor

Love the picture and really like the screen size, I come from a 32 inch led tv as a monitor so this was a massive upgrade in quality and just general improvement in visuals, there’s a lot of settings you can alter to your liking to make it appease to your eyes, when I first fired it up the color was so intense I got an instant headache but as soon as I changed the contrast and some of the color warmth my eyes fell in love, can look at it all day and my eyes not bother me

4 MONTH UPDATE: 1 Dead Pixel after 4 Months of light use, Otherwise GOOD!

Writing this review for the ASUS TUF Gaming 27″ 1440P HDR Curved Monitor. Im very satisfied with the quality of the picture, very clear and crisp video and picture. My biggest fear in spending almost 300 Bucks on a monitor was it getting a dead pixel. I like my screen perfect, so when a small dead pixel appeared after 4 months of light use and no physical damage to the screen, I was upset. There is one clear dead pixel, and another faded dot that may be a dead pixel as well. I also want to mention that for some reason my PC does not have a brightness slider. I thought it was a windows issue but I heard some monitor displays do not support brightness sliders, so I think that may be the cause. Beside the dead pixel(s) and brightness slider issue , the monitor is working great. If more dead pixels appear, I’ll update and have to lower my rating. For now, 4/5.

    Perfect for the price

A must for people who want to upgrade their gaming. Bought this to upgrade from a 24inch 1080p monitor. The moment I turned the monitor on for the first time I was amazed by how much of a difference it made. Gaming wise I love it, I play warzone competitively and with the free sync premium along with the low latency is godly. Didn’t know but it has built in speakers and alotttttt of settings. For the price and quality it’s a definitely buy

    Great monitor

I hooked it up yesterday and so far it’s fantastic. This was replacing my vs278 that was 9 years old and finally died. The only issue is the sound. I know computer monitors don’t have the best sound but I can barely hear it. Volume is all the way up and it’s so quiet. I just ordered a sound bar.

    darn near perfect

For what I’d say is a ridiculous fair price for a monitor this thing just blows me away. The picture is perfect. The response rate is insane when playing games. There’s no stutter and absolutely nothing I can say bad about it. I do wish I could raise or lower the screen a little but that’s just a minor thing that I wouldn’t even take off a percentage point for it. Buy this monitor and you will not regret it.

An excellent monitor for a very competitive price

An excellent monitor, I have two now. It ticks all my boxes: 1440p resolution, high refresh rate, low latency, a good curved profile, simple but useful features, good brightness without vignetting, excellent color gamut, no ghosting, no dead pixels. And it does all of this at an extremely competitive price. A textbook top-notch Asus product. Highly recommended.

Not as vibrant as the older144hz version

Bought this to replace the exact same screen but in 144hz, i recently cracked the bottom of that one so i ordered the 165hz version which is the only one i could find. The response time and refresh rate is fantastic, menu is easy to use and has some extra features that are handy sometimes like the crosshair. Setting side by side to whats left of the previous 144hz version, the color is lacking a bit and sometimes seems to be over saturated in some games. Maybe i just need to mess with color settings and nvidia control panel more. Its still a great monitor and would recommend but its just slightly less vibrant then the older version. Not a deal breaker.

    Highly Recommend It!

The media could not be loaded.

This is my very first monitor and it’s surprisingly good. I make music, commentaries and i game a lot, so I was in need of a monitor. It takes up a lot of space on my desk, my desk is about 5ft to 6 ft wide. I did a lot of research before I bought it (4 months before I bought it). I was very hesitant because of the price and not a lot videos on YouTube gone in depth about the monitor other than showing gameplay. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big let alone run this well either. Finding a gaming monitor at the moment is hard just because finding a well made monitor that plays and runs most games is somewhat rare. It took no more then 12 hours for it to come in after i purchased it (I have Amazon prime) and the box itself was actually pretty big. Setting everything up was easy and simple.Using it for gaming:There’s a bit of settings and you can play it at native 4k 60hz on the Xbox one x and there’s a major difference with some games like Cod MW (2019) Halo MCC & Halo 5, and any game that plays at 60fps. It may not be a noticeable difference with games that are locked to 30fps, but there is a major difference when playing games at 60. Some games looked better but ran somewhat worse compared to 1080p or 1440p. With the One X you can play some games in HDR and there’s a major difference with HDR and some games looked better with HDR. I’ve seen HDR on 4k tv’s and looked amazing, but being able to use it on a monitor like this was also really surprising. Again not all games on the One X have HDR, but the games that do have HDR ran somewhat better but frames did drop considerably when things picked up in combat. Cyberpunk 2077 while looked better on the One X, ran a lot worse at native 4k and with HDR on. Some parts of cyberpunk were steady and nice, as soon as combat picked up, the games frames would drop. So again it just depends on your settings and what games you play the monitor on.Using it for my Music & commentaries:For the last few weeks I’ve been making music & commentaries on this monitor and my workload had jumped up considerably. I can finally see everything and mix the way I need too. It’s a lot easier for me to see my mixes, I had to get a new keyboard, mouse, and desk mat just for this monitor. My work flow has improved and the monitor goes well with the lights around my studio. I’m getting a gaming computer soon to see how it truly runs, I have laptop at the moment so it runs well but I’m in need of upgrade for a new computer.Final Thoughts:Buy at your own cost. The settings are customizable and it looks good on my Xbox one X, I plan on getting a gaming computer to see how it truly runs. It’s worth the price and ships really fast (if you have Amazon prime). Picture quality is amazing, the brightness is adjustable and it’s really good for gaming. Worth the price! If you have the money, get it, if you game a lot, get it, if you’re in need of good monitor, get it. You can’t go wrong with it. Even after a month, I haven’t had any problems with it. I’ve been using it everyday since I’ve bought it.

    Great colors

Amazing colors and pictures quality. The only thing I found wrong with it is when I paired my ps5 with it it wouldn’t allow for 1440p resolution. When on the box and amazone websites advertised pictures say that it’s pair great with ps5 I’m just hoping when I get my PC built it’ll let me use 1440p for that.

Five star monitor, Negative star customer service.

I’ll just be honest, this monitor is great. Well, it’s neither the cheapest monitor out there nor the thinnest, but it has everything you need. As long as you’re a nice person and cherish it, you’ll probably enjoy this product. But never, ever, ever, make your monitor any physical damage.I didn’t cherish it well and accidentally broke it. It’s my fault, I admit. It’s not covered in the warranty, reasonable, understand. The charge for more than what I paid for the purchase, hold on, wait a minute there. Now, what’s the point of fixing it? Be careful, they’re not notifying you how much you might be spending before you send your product for fixing. Once you send your monitor to their factory, and they found your warranty should be voided, you can’t take it back without payment. I agree that this is a reasonable rule on its own, but not when you’re not told how much you might need to pay.I ended up letting ASUS recycle the monitor. They might be getting profit from it, but all I had is lessons and wasted time. I now have a useless monitor stand, since they told me if my product is fixed, these attachments wouldn’t be sent back when the product is fixed if I include them in the package delivered to ASUS.When I review the process I went through, I feel a sort of arrogance from their after-sales service. They smile at you, they politely format their email content, and they call you dear customers like everyone else. But you just don’t feel you’re valued by them. There is no caring love, you only feel icy cold eyesight on you, saying it’s all your fault, and thousands of hands stuck out from that broken monitor, asking for your money.

LOVE this monitor – BUT – laptop recognized as audio device w/o having speakers

First – the good news:Got this monitor on Prime Day after a LOT of research – reviews here, through online articles (PC Mag, CNET, etc.), and watching YouTube videos. I use it for work (business analyst) and in a graphic design capacity (hobbies). It’s basically like having two monitors in one and the color, clarity, response time, and flexibility of the display was a huge upgrade from what I had been tolerating (Westinghouse 32″ TV).The bad news is I’m taking away a star b/c somewhere along the line, I was led to believe this monitor had speakers AND the menus and setup kind of lead you down that path as well. Sorry folks – no speakers on this monitor :(.Since the listing never mentions sound or speakers, I take full blame for making that assumption. HOWEVER – the monitor was automatically recognized by my laptop as an audio output device, was made the default audio device, AND the monitor has audio controls on its menu. So for a minute there, I was SUPER stoked! Alas, after a quick chat with Dell customer care, they confirmed that the monitor is speakerless…Overall, this is a GREAT monitor. Not much of a gamer but the ultra-wide format and the extra few inches made it seem like I was adding two monitors to my workspace instead of one. Plus, the extra screen real-estate in full-screen mode significantly reduced the need for scrolling in spreadsheets and design software.

Asus VG32VQR 165hz 1440p Curved VA monitor is wildly underrated!

Pros: Out of the box I was immediately impressed with the overall build quality and ease with putting it together! Nividia gsync worked perfectly and after a few minor adjustments in the settings this monitor was looking amazing! I’m not sure what ghosting or blurriness people are seeing because the image quality is amazing and after spending a few hours gaming I could honestly not be more impressed. The downside to most VA panels such as inaccurate colors, dark smearing and ghosting are either not present on this monitor or are so insignificant I don’t even begin to notice! The stand is sturdy and the ergonomics are exactly what I expect from a $400 monitor. Backlight bleeding is minimal and I only noticed when I set a black screen in a completely dark room, and truthfully if I hadn’t done that I would’ve never noticed, The 1800r curve feels perfect for me, in that the image doesn’t feel distorted and everything is in my field of vision!Cons: More of nitpick but using an external power brick instead of an internal makes sense from a cost perspective but seeing how this monitor launched at $450, I would’ve expected it.Other thought: If my only complaint about this monitor is an external power brick then I am happy! I have tried the samsung g5 32inch curved and the dell 32 inch curved and this monitor is so much better at every possible level. The color look crisp, the black levels are outstanding, gsync works flawlessly, contrast is on point with what I would expect from a VA panel, and the response time is close to some of the better ips gaming panels out there in this price range. Honestly to get something better you’re going to have to spend at least $200 – $300 more.

    Perfect monotor

I use AutoCAD in my job as a design engineer. This monitor is excellent, and I don’t experience eye strain despite spending many hours in front of it.

UPDATED: good value for console 1080p 120hz

9/2/2021 – UPDATE: after using this monitor with PS5 I can confirm it works well at 1080P 120hz. I have grown to really like the monitor for console gaming. I also have a series S , so I will be curious to see if I can get 144hz at 1080 P on that. Overall for the price and performance at 1080p 120hz I can’t complain. If you are looking for higher quality picture over frame rate than you will need to look elsewhere. I primarily play FPS games and more focused on getting the best refresh rate.5/12/2021 – This monitor is large, quite big coming from a 27 Inch, something to keep in mind.I have it plugged in to a USB-C hub from a macbook air m1 , I initially had a flickering issue on the screen. Oddly though only when I had a web-site called tradingview open looking at charts.. It could be related to the M1 macbook, the cable, the usb-c hub I am not sure. I messed with some settings figuring it had to do with that. I ended up in Eco mode which disables ELMB and something else. No flickering issues since I did that.I am fine in eco mode right now using this monitor for work with bluelight filter on. I will be testing on PS5 once I receive mine. Then I will update after using the PS5 for a little while. If the ps5 works fine out of eco mode I will be happy with the purchase. It is a large screen and can operate at 1080p 120 hz with PS5 as per the ASUS web-site. For this price range if you can deal without 1440p or 4K it’s not bad.Currently I’d say 3 stars it’s a nice monitor , but need to verify everything is working how it should be before upping that score.

    Great for the money

Kids needed a computer because minecraft sucks on the switch. Built them a quick one and chose this monitor to sit on top. It’s everything a minecrafter could need. Not the fanciest (or most expensive) just a great value for its price.

Just what I was looking for!!!!

The ASUS TUF Gaming 32 is an absolute powerhouse of a monitor! The 32-inch display is stunning, providing sharp and vibrant visuals with great color accuracy. The 1440p resolution hits the sweet spot for gaming, offering excellent detail without sacrificing performance.

Overall good product, but I eventually let go of it in favor of a flat IPS screen

I had to purchase this three times. The first product came with a patch of dead pixels, and the second product never arrived – it was dropped off at a USPS at midnight while they were closed and who knows what happened to it before they opened in the morning. The third I actually purchased from Microcenter at a $20 markup (which had some surface grime that was difficult to wipe away in exactly the same spot that the patch of dead pixels was in for the first monitor that I received, so I’m thinking there is some manufacturing trauma involving that point). The monitor is also difficult to get out of the box. -1 star for quality control and all these random issues.Color is bright and vibrant and all the specs that I want are there, but there is a lot of smearing of dark objects that I eventually could not fully fix or get over. From viewing many other curved monitors up for display at my local microcenter and looking up their specs, other curved VA monitors were just dull and not bright enough. I was split between this one and the Gigabyte G32QC, but the G32QC had worse smearing according to RTINGs. So I believed (and still believe) that this is the best curved 32 inch QHD 144+Hz curved VA screen below $350. Turning up shadow boost to level 3 while leaving the Trace Free option at 60 were the best settings for me to reduce dark smearing without introducing inverse ghosting. However, it was always still very much there and although it wasn’t necessarily distracting (especially in FPS), it was very noticeable when I wasn’t so focused on the action or while I was using my computer it for anything else. I don’t think it made it functionally/practically worse, but it just gave it a cheaper feel, and it wasn’t something I could really love. When a flat IPS LG Ultragear G-SYNC compatible monitor with identical specs came out heavily discounted at $320, I had to switch over. I initially really wanted the curved aspect of the VG32VQ, which did make viewing the corners and sides of the screen more comfortable, but overall it wasn’t worth the smearing. After returning back to a flat 32 inch screen, I realized that the difference in comfort of viewing the edges was not as big as I made it out to be. I tried hyping myself up to want to like the VG32VQ by appreciating that curvature, but ultimately it wasn’t that big of a deal to begin with for a 32 inch screen. -1 star for smearingIf you’re really interested in a curved screen, it might still be worth it to go on the journey I did and live with one for a week or so, but ultimately you might choose to eventually go for something like a gigabyte M32Q instead (or an ultragear if it goes on sale again, which is essentially identical to a M32Q besides providing G-SYNC). Ultimately, this monitor is not bad and is a 4 star monitor as long as I didn’t have to go through all that trouble to get a good working monitor. The smearing does make it feel somewhat cheap and although it wasn’t enough to be functionally distracting, it was enough to return it in favor of an IPS panel that was priced similarly.

    I didn’t know what I was missing

This monitor is awesome. I got the 1440p 27inch curved variant.Picture/screen: Before this I had a basic 1080p 24inch Asus monitor, and let me tell you the upgrade was very much worth it. The color on this screen just pops. WAY more color coverage then my old monitor. I hadn’t realized just how many colors I was missing until now. That being said I did try the HDR because it does advertise it, but I would say that its just not quite there. The screen is brighter , yes, but I would say that you lose at least 20% color coverage if not more. Frankly HDR is bland. I wouldn’t recommend it at all if that’s a big sale point for you. I also have a decent amount of back light leak, so blacks aren’t as dark as they could be (part of the reason HDR isn’t that great on this unit). For those 2 reasons I knocked of a star.Gaming: This is the main reason I bought the monitor. Playing on here has been a dream. I mostly play Apex and again the color coverage is out of this world. The contrast is RICH, like batman rich. It’s easy to overdo to the point where you cant see people in dark areas. Although some fiddling around in the settings fixed that right up. On that point factory setting are okay but ounce you calibrate it, its twice as good. The curve and upgrade in size and resolution took me some getting used to but once I got used to it again, gaming has been nothing but spectacular. I have had no screen tearing, practically no motion blur and input lag is non existent. That being said I stay consistently around 100-110 FPS, so I haven’t maxed it out.Ergonomics: This is where I can’t really say to much. I didn’t even unwrap the stand, instead I immediately mounted it to my own desk top stand (VESA 100mm x 100mm). I did this because the factory stand seems to be a pretty basic one. No height or swivel adjustment, just tilt.In conclusion Picture good. HDR bad, gaming fun. Stand doodoo.

    My favorite monitor

I got this monitor on sale and have loved it. Before this monitor I have been using an msi one and decided to give asus a chance after reading reviews and I think this was a fantastic change. The 1440p looks vibrant in games while still running 144hz.

This monitor being at the price point is very good. It is a 1440p monitor with a refresh rate of 165Hz is simply incredible. I have been using it for the past 2 months and I have not experienced anything like screen tearing or input lag. I recommend this product 100%..

    So far pleased with product

So far I’m pleased with the monitor. I got this because I had epilepsy when I was younger and grew out of them. That being said most monitors hurt my eyes or caused my head to hurt I use the reduce blue light function this screen has even tho the colors are darker and not true I can look at this screen for hours without my eyes hurting. The sound produced by this monitor isn’t great. Being pointed down and behind the monitor you can hardly hear the sound at full blast. ( Don’t plan to use this in place of speakers/headset for sound.) Other than that so far so good no complaints.

Good for the price, I think

I bought this without realizing just how much monitors are nowadays. I didn’t expect them to be approaching twice the cost of say 10 years ago but wow. So, after that initial shock, this is still a good monitor for the price. The one major drawback is a lack of DisplayPort (not even 1) which kinda sucks if you have an old style VR system which requires an HDMI..After trying a couple DP to HDMI adapters (both the type that keep the refresh rate, i forgot the term) and having them cut out almost every time I switch displays, I can’t imagine how Asus thought it was ever a good idea to have an HDMI based product in the 2020s. I’m not a 4k guy so not having to pay for that is great but keep the same ports, please. The IPS display is very clear and sharp and does take some configuring to get the right color temperature and stuff for your set up. I have one dead pixel after a little over a year which isn’t very noticeable.. but, it’s the only time I’ve ever had one so the monitor budget will have to be doubled in the future to keep up with this. At this point, a tv with a high refresh rate almost makes more sense than an 32″ monitor but we’ll seee

    Out of range errors

Almost everything about this monitor is top notch… except for a couple of things. It frequently reports out of range errors and I have to power cycle it to clear the error. The controls (including the power button) are tabs set on the backside of the monitor. When looking at the monitor from the front, there are no indications of labels as to exactly where the tabs are, or what they might be.

    Amazing display, horrible sound.

I absolutely love how this monitor looks, all the games I play on it look crisp, the colors look great with HDR on or off, and the high refresh rate is the cherry on top. However it has one issue that I don’t see talked about, which is totally fair as it’s something that only affects a small percentage of people, which unfortunately includes me. The built in speaker for this monitor is absolutely horrendous. It’s incredibly quiet and nothing seems to sound as it should. Everything else about the monitor is perfect so I won’t judge it too harshly for this given that most people have their own sound system or use headphones. While I do have headphones that i use a majority of the time, I don’t have my own sound system so I’m stuck with the speakers on the monitor whenever I don’t want to wear headphones, which are just not up to the standards and expectations I’ve had with other monitors.

    Good But Could be better

I have had this monitor for about a year, it’s good but needs work.when I got this monitor everything was great the size was great and everything was perfect, but the colors looked washed out despite it claiming it has 120% percent of the sRGB coverage. I calibrated it and everything but it still looks off. The response time is pretty bad, no matter how far I pushed the overdrive there is still a pretty noticeable trail. I have a 3080ti and a ryzen 7 5800x and many games do not reach the max refresh rate, so unless you play CS: GO or Valorant I would not recommend spending this much on this monitor. If you need a monitor there are better options with better specs for the same price even less than the cost of this. like Gigabyte M27Q or the M27QC that offers better performance, or if you need a cheaper one I also recommend the AOC CQ27G2 which is GSync certified (all the monitors recommended have a 32-inch version)Now for the truly bad part, I was cleaning the monitor and once I plugged it back in there were lines and a black smudge that got bigger and really hot contacted Asus about it and they told me to send proof, as I turn the monitor back on I took a picture of it, but while taking a couple more pics the screen cracked, My guess is because of the heat, and now Asus said that it is cosmetic damage A.K.A physical damage and now they will not fix it. I asked how much was the panel, perhaps I can fix it myself should not be too different from a phone right, but they told me that a new panel would cost $200+ depending on the type of screen I had. Holy Poop might as well just get a new one at that point.so all in all it was good when it worked, but subpar compared to their competitors. As I said there are better options out there so pick your poison.Laters 😀

    Decent 2k monitor

Monitor is decent for 2k at this price range. Using it at 165 hz at 2k had some issues in games but taking it down to 144hz fixed everything. Is this ok…. I suppose for this price range. In my honest opinion I wish I saved a little more and went down the 500 or 600$ route.

    Love This Monitor

-Long time PC builder and gamer.-Been using monitor for 6 monthsFor the price, this monitor is incredible. I’ve been sitting here before typing this trying to come up with a negative aspect, and I only came up with one and it’s more of a nuisance than a negative… At certain positions, the stand doesn’t want to hold the monitor in place and you need to loosen then tighten the tension nut on the stand. Took 2 people since someone had to hold the monitor in place where I wanted it while I tightened the tension nut. Everything else, fantastic! Great picture, incredibly fast FPS (assuming you have it hooked to a decent PC), full 1440 support at 165hz, Freesynce (no need to have V-sync turned on it games), no tearing, colors pop, and although this is subjective, for whatever reasons this monitor is easier on my eyes than any of the 20+ I’ve used before. I returned 2 monitors before getting this one, so I was also able to compare it to other modern monitors, and this one won hands down.I guess my only other gripe would be that it’d be nice if the full monitor features (like HDR) worked with HDMI (you have to use the DisplayPort to unlock all the monitors features). Not a big deal for me since my rig has a DP, but for people without one, know that while still a great monitor, HDR won’t be active.Bottom line, you can’t go wrong with this monitor.

    Zero Regrets

This monitor is amazing. I use it for just about everything: gaming, work, email, watching movies, etc. I’ve owned it for a year now and haven’t noticed any screen tearing or dead pixels and they’ve gotten at least 3 hours of use every single day in that time period.I took a gamble at got 2 from the get go and I do not regret it one bit. Is it a little extra? Perhaps. But it helps soooo much with productivity. As seen from the image, I can have 3 PDFs and a word doc open on the same screen and still have a full screen available for anything else. This will come in handy as I begin to work on my Master’s. Overall, highly recommendedAlso, I use “HUANUO Dual Monitor Mount Stand – Long Double Arm Gas Spring Monitor Desk Mount for 2 Screens 22 to 35 Inch Height Adjustable VESA Bracket with Clamp, Grommet Base -Each Arm Hold up to 26.4 lbs” to hold the 2 monitors and it works great.

It’s a very nice monitor! It replaced the same TUF gaming monitor, but it was 1080p and not HDR. This one is really nice! Has 2 HDMI and one display port. PC is on display port. Switch and PS5 is on the other 2 HDMI ports. Looks great on all 3! Definitely recommend!
