Great for my first gaming PC!
I’ve had this monitor for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased with the picture quality of it, and the size- especially given the low price point. Out of the box, the screen was somewhat unsaturated, but the settings can be changed easily through controls on the monitor. There are also several prebuilt graphics options that you can switch between depending on what kind of gaming experience you’re looking for. The monitor also swivels easily left and right, and also tips up and down so you can watch what you’re doing in pretty much any position. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone but especially people looking for a high-quality picture at a low price point! My terrible phone camera quality really does not do it justice!

Perfect rts monitor!
I really only play aoe2 and have to say I love it… 24 inch monitors are the best for rts games in my opinion. Would definitely recommend. I have found asus gaming monitors to be solid, reliable monitors.

Decent gaming monitor, but not the best motion blur solution.
Pretty decent monitor, however for overall best performance, I would recommend BenQ’s similar offerings. but this is still a good monitor and will probably fit your needs perfectly. This monitor does have an awesome design, with slim bezels, great base, etc… and for most games, it offers the best performance you can get at 60 Hz (and or up to 75 Hz).However, as someone who has used BenQ R2755 27 inch monitors, I can attest to the BenQ having a noticeable better motion blur solution in their AMA versus the Asus’ tracefree setting. In order to match the motion blur containment abilities of the BenQ, you will have to increase tracefree to be fairly high, and at that point, it will degrade picture quality quite a bit and introduce inverse ghosting, partially defeating the entire purpose. However, in my experience, this was only an issue in Rocket League, where it impacted my play, and caused losses, since Rocket League is a game that’s constantly in motion, but in most games, it probably isn’t too bad, so this monitor is still likely pretty good for you.

Best buy for what you’re getting
I recently split a one big bedroom into two rooms–one of them is my man cave. After researching and asking some streamers on Twitch about the best gaming monitor I could get, I ended up getting two of these — one for my new gaming PC that I build and one for my PS4. I was not looking for something crazy with high specs because I don’t make money off of gaming, plus I was on a budget. (I’m a casual gamer who likes to enjoy my free time that I spent gaming)The monitors are easy to mount and setup. They come with everything you need to hook them up with any console. I limited myself to 60hz on the PC because I use HDMI cable. I might use the Display Port in the future just to test out the 75hz and see if there is any noticeable difference. The two speakers are nice to have but they are not that great. They are very handy if you’re watching a quick YouTube video or something similar. But I use headphones if I want to watch a movie or a sports game.I highly recommend this monitor.. You won’t regret this purchase.

Wrong Refresh Rate info
I bought this monitor for a higher refresh rate. NOTE – description inaccurately says it can be a max of 165. It is actually 75hz maxAs stated on page:Screen Size 24 InchesDisplay Resolution Maximum 1920 x 1080 PixelsBrand ASUSSpecial Feature Security Lock, Anti-glare, Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB), Ergonomic DesignRefresh Rate 165 HzMonitor itself looks nice, however am disappointed on the wrong information on page as a higher refresh rate is more appealing and easier on the eyes, and having this lower refresh rate IS noticeable.

Beautiful Monitor!
I finally decided to upgrade from my old Acer 24″ monitor and wow is this an upgrade! The video is smooth as butter, the colors are more vivid, and I can honestly say my gaming skill has improved due to the quality improvement. The joystick functionality on the back of the monitor is absolutely phenomenal for navigating the settings menu, the slim bezels are a welcome change from my old clunky monitor, and the FreeSync is definitely worth it. For the price point this monitor is solid! Also worth mentioning is that there is absolutely no stuck/dead pixels on my panel. The only downside I can find for this monitor is that the stand is a little wobbly, on a scale from 1~10 I’d put it at a 4 or 5. This is really only a nitpick because I had to find something to complain about! Would recommend to friends that want to stay in 1080p for the FPS gains.

Great Monitor, Especially Love the Height Adjustment
I’m only 5′ and had to buy a new chair due to the previous one’s cushions being crushed into nothingness. I got the shortest chair I could find in stores, but recently started having upper back pain. It was because of a myriad of reasons I’m sure, but I realized my chair’s height was making me look slightly down at my monitor, affecting my posture without me realizing it. I’ve been wanting a dual monitor set up for a while and this gave me a reason to finally give in. I love it so far, mainly for the fact that I can raise it much higher so it can be the ideal eye level or slightly above. Compared to my other Asus monitor
ASUS VS248H-P 24″ Full HD 1920×1080 2ms HDMI DVI VGA Back-lit LED Monitor
, the color is vibrant and comparable. I’m not a tech savvy person, but I love this monitor so far. My games look great, my art colors look great, there hasn’t been any blips so far so that’s all that matters to me.

Great Price. Great Image. Okay Speakers. Recommended
The monitor works well for the price. It provides a very clear image during video on YouTube and other streaming websites like Twitch. The sound on the monitor is okay defiantly not the best but for watching casual videos it does the job well. However, if you are going to be gaming on this monitor the speakers can be a little on the soft side. For games like Fortnite were hearing your opponents is key in some circumstances, I would suggest wearing headphones. In some circumstances during gaming when my mouse sensitivity was very high i could notice a very small amount of screen tearing but so minimum its not a concern for me but worth noting. The controls for the menu are set up very well with a toggle on the back to navigate threw the menu options. This allows for changing any settings very intuitive and user friendly. I am very satisfies with my purchase and would recommend this monitor for someone that’s on a budget but stills wants a quality gaming monitor.

Monitor
If you want to spend not that much money on a monitor, THIS IS YOUR CHOICE. *For 200$ you get 165 Hz and a 144Hz if you want to put it like that. *You get curved monitor and all the other stuff that it says * The only bad thing is that the monitor DOESEN’T come with SPEAKERS. If you want a monitor with speakers, buy another one. But, if you want a 16$ speakers that sounds like a movie theater, i recommend you to get (amazon basics USB-powered PC computer speakers with dynamic sound | Black.)

A great monitor for use with both the laptop and desktop.
I like the dual HDMI ports on the monitor. With that I could connect it to both my laptop and the desktop for a dual monitor setup using my new Asus monitor as the second monitor for both. It is great in that it automatically switches the HDMI port when you are using the laptop, but it had previously been on the HDMI port for the desktop. I love that feature. Another thing was my main desktop monitor is a 24 inch Asus monitor that I purchased in 2010, so I wanted the second monitor to also be 24 inch but the space it would go in on my desk was under the hutch cabinet which was not large enough in height for some other 24 inch monitors. But this new Asus monitor has an adjustable stand which allowed me to lower the height of the monitor enough that it did fit in the space I had. Color quality is good and amazingly similar the the 10 year old main desktop monitor. I don’t do gaming so I cannot speak to that aspect, but it is a wonderful monitor for my purposes.

Value and Quality, ORDER IT!
First let me start off by saying I purchased and returned two other monitors before being satisfied with this one. Now I will do the best I can to cover some of its features in Pros and Cons.Pros- Excellent Picture overall, the uniformity of the color and black levels is excellent in my opinion.- OSD, very easy to navigate, there is a joystick on the back that is found on some of the higher end monitors that does a nice job overall.- Inputs, two HDMI inputs should be enough, but a little more is to be desired, this will be a Pro and a Con- Gaming on this monitor whether its my super gaming desktop or my PS4 is extremely satisfying, as I said I went through two monitors, three if you include my original, before I was happy with performance.Cons- VGA… the two HDMI ports are a plus but I would have liked to see a DVI-D or Displayport here, that would have made this monitor future proof in my opinion.- The lack of an input button, more of an annoyance than a true con, to switch inputs you have to go through the OSD.OverallI would highly recommend this monitor, it works great under any condition I could throw at it and it is pretty inexpensive, I would say the value is definitely there.

After a good bit of research
I am not a “gamer” and so cannot speak as to how this monitor compares to others in the gaming realm. However, for the last 25+ years, I have often stared at a computer screen for 8 to 14 hours a day. The last 10 years, I have mostly used a 15″ laptop. Lately, I have begun having more eye fatigue and more frequent/powerful headaches. Hoping that a higher screen refresh rate might help, I began searching for a monitor to use with my laptop. After a good bit of research, I settled on the Asus VG245H.So far, I could not be happier. The screen is huge after years on a 15″ laptop screen. The colors are better, the 75 instead of 60 refresh rate is wonderful. The different pre-set color modes give a nice variety that should fit many tastes. I actually find myself switching between 2 of them depending upon what I am doing (although not a serious gamer, I do like an rpg now and then!). The monitor stand is excellent – easily slides up and down to find just the right height; easily swivels between landscape and portrait mode; rotates on its base so that you can angle it just right if you (as I do) have it slightly off-center on the desk.So far… A+!

Perfect for Emulation/MAME
I bought this because I wanted a low-lag, fast-response monitor for gaming (mostly emulation, 8/16/32-bit and arcade stuff). I knew I wanted 27” (any larger when sitting at a desk is a bit big) and didn’t need any better than 1080p and 60/75hz for my purposes (my laptop only outputs 60hz video signal anyways, so anything higher would have driven cost up for no reason). This fits all of the criteria with purported ~10ms of input lag (which is excellent) and 1ms gtg response time which prevents almost all ghosting/trails. 2D Capcom/SNK fighters have never looked and played better for me on a flat panel screen and MAME than they do now. I also tested CS:GOon it and it ran smoothly (well, smooth for 60hz) with little-to-no ghosting. Absolutely perfect for my purposes.P.S. Make sure to adjust the picture settings to improve color/brightness. There are some recommended settings you can find if you google this model.

It’s good over all but…
There are NOT built in speakers. It says there are as the bonus features but this specific one does not come with speakers so I had to order some.UPDATE: I am lowering my review to a 4 star. We wanted to plug his computer AND his Xbox into it. There seems to be an issue with switching between the 2. When trying to switch from one to the other the screen just randomly shuts off. It’s happened a few times. Alittle annoying but we already have it mounted so we aren’t going to return it. But just keep that in mind when deciding to make this purchase. If you want to use it for multiple consoles it may shut off while trying to switch it.

Great monitor for the price
I have been using the ASUS VG245H monitor for a week now. Its color and clarity are decent and most people will not see any issues. Upon install, it took a bit of tweaking to get my system to recognize the 75Hz refresh rate (out of the box it was attempting to connect at 60Hz). Had to go into the OS and set it.One other issue is that the box that it arrived in looked like it had been opened. The clear tape, which usually seals the top flap of the box was missing (although it did not look as though the tape had been pulled up). This caused some concern, but after opening and inspecting the contents, everything seemed to be there. The manufacturer/reseller should pay more attention to this detail in the future.

Gaming or reading, excellent choice.
I have been thinking about an other monitor for my desktop since my old secondary had failed a while ago. Perfect fit.Do you stream? Good to have chat on.Game? Yep, good too.Manga junkie? You all should by this. Easy to turn it sideways and it’s now the prefect width and height. Remember, most paid services cost less on phone, so unlock there and then read on this monitor. Please remember that it doesn’t look too good when you are less than a foot away, but get back to a proper distance and read away my friend. Also, use kindle desktop? Boss reading mode.

Great monitor.
It’s a great monitor. I’d call us casual gamers for its current application – Nintendo Switch. Speakers are ok. To be fair, I don’t think you are going to find any monitor out there with speakers that will blow you away. They do fine for a family room setting. I don’t think causal gamers tend to need the volume up at a 100% on this monitor. Rarely does it need to be louder than 60, and even then, it’s kind of a preference thing. Monitor is always crisp and bright and we enjoy it for whatever game or computer is hooked to it.

No speakers, but great everything else
I got the 165Hz for gaming, and part of the appeal was it is advertised as having speakers, which is apparently does not. In the windows sound menu it says that you can choose the monitor as a device, but no sound comes out. I had to really learn what the problem was through going to two different models to look at the setup menu. Other than that, this is a great purchase and i am happy with the quality.

Just built my first PC, I’m more of a casual gamer but a whore for good graphics and fps, this is perfect. Colors are great, as I do photo editing as well.Only complaint is I wish it was vertically adjustable, but a monitor stand fixed that pretty well.

I use these for work
I’ve had several of these monitors over the years. They are great monitors, but I do not use them for gaming. I use them on my Linux and Mac computers for work purposes. I really like that you can turn them 180 degrees without having to mess with anything. It makes writing code easier because of less scrolling. I also prefer to browse the internet this way as well because you use all of the screen real estate.Colors are crisp.Excellent monitors for work purposes. I can’t speak on the gaming part of the advertisement.

Love this for work at home
I actually got this monitor for working from home and I LOVE it. Such a great monitor for what I use it for, which is a lot of design-related tasks and writing. However, I will note one issue, the color can be a bit warmer and vibrant than desired and the other settings can look a bit too undersaturated. You have to go into the settings to adjust that a bit. When that’s done, it’s great. I played Sims on this and it worked really well, too. I’d say it’s a good monitor for the price.

I have three of these and just bought two more. They’re great monitors. No glare, either.I do a little gaming but most of what I use these for is photo editing.I’ve never had issues like what some of the other reviews describe. Specially the gamers. They’re blaming the monitor for their problems when it’s most likely their graphics cards.25 years in IT and there’s a reason why I’ve purchased five of this model monitor.Highly recommend.

Great monitor, but bizarre assembly instructions
The monitor is great. Picture is awesome and the size if just right for gaming on the go. However, I was shocked that the base was shipped with arm assembled at a 45 degree angle ( I guess for packaging/shipping reasons) and the instructions said nothing about how to set it up. I searched the web and found the manual – again nothing about this. I had to figure out on my own how to fix this (so I could use the monitor!) which meant I had to use a screwdriver to take the screws out, twist the base, and then reassemble. Pretty frustrating and kind of ridiculous that the documentation mentioned nothing about this. Even after that the base is not aligned with the monitor – you have to turn the monitor slightly at an angle so monitor is facing straight forward, but the base is at an angle. Again, good quality monitor for gaming, but the assembly instructions were terrible!

good display
I’d been gaming on the same 23″ display for years now and figured it was time for an upgrade.I’m largely happy with the ASUS VG275Q. The picture and responsiveness are great. I especially like the two HDMI ports, in addition to the DisplayPort, so that I can plug in my consoles in addition to my computer. I have no complaints about the picture quality. The sound, however, is horrible. My old display had halfway-decent speakers… The ASUS VG275Q has downright bad speakers. The sound is terrible. Very tinny. Bad enough that I’ve had to purchase external speakers instead of leveraging the built-in ones.

His and Hers
I recently purchased a pair of these so my husband and I could upgrade our PC gaming experience. Our packages arrived earlier than expected and in great condition. The inserts in the box do a very good job of keeping it protected. Both of our screens are working great, no bad pixels or any picture quality issues. Gaming looks beautiful and the adjustable height brings it up enough that our necks don’t feel strain while gaming for longer periods of time. The speakers in the monitor do a good enough job but that doesn’t matter to us as much because we just plugged our nice dual speakers into the back instead. I’m sure there are much better monitors out there for those willing to spend even a couple hundred more, but I’d have to say for the price I feel I got a great value. Nothing wrong with that.

Great Monitor
This is a terrific monitor. I love the adjustment options and the color, brightness, and overall picture quality are wonderful. Well worth it. Also, there is a very small joystick on the back used to make adjustments, so Easy. However, it arrived with a faulty power cord. Luckily I was able to get a new one at a thrift store for a buck! Shame on the company responsible for sending me a product with a faulty cord!

Great and pleasantly surprised
I want to start out by saying that this is a great monitor. I had a 4k 40″ Samsung TV with HDR I was using but I moved it to the bedroom because it had issues with any stationary images. Even the background of my PC which changes every 1 minute would stay “ghosted” for a little and fade. And the one that was the worst of the images was very problematic. So I had to get something. I wanted a monitor with 4k, HDR, etc. But I want to wait a bit for the technology price to come down and quality to stabilize. But I was not sure which monitor I wanted. A 1080p or 1440p. I figured I wanted IPS but TN was possible. And I was sure I wanted a full 8-bit panel. No 6 bit + frc.I did a lot of searching and found that this monitor, although TN, was full 8 bit. I figured I would take the chance on a TN panel even though I was using a Dell I borrowed from my mother-in-law to save my 4k TV. I was shocked by this monitor. The good and great:-2 HDMI-A hold in the back of the stand that has a cover for running the hdmi wires in a nice clean way.-EASILY adjustable stand that takes up minimal space-Colors and viewing angle:*this is big. This monitor, at least the one I received, produces fantastic colors. I compared it to photos I had worked on and printed and was getting a match. And the calibration was showing that it was producing fantastic colors as did the eye test. Viewing angles are awesome. From the sides it has a good distance until it shifts slightly reddish to me. Now, from the top down there is a major shift but really that is not an issue for me as I never stand and look down at any monitor. And the bottom view angles, when I tilt it up or have hit set up higher are amazing with very little color shift if you get a major tilt. Sitting at a desk this usually is never an issue.-Brightness is awesome. Now I use it in a darker room but even when it is bright in the room at times it looks very bright. I actually had to turn it down a bit.-The monitor has great controls. I really like the little stick that is on the back for navigating around and stuff. If makes switching inputs fast and easy.-Great response time and no blur at all in games.Cons/Bad stuff.-Viewing angles are not IPS good. Even though this does not bother me it can be a negative for some. Then again, if you are sitting in front of this or only at a little angle it is great so fine for me.

Great Color/Features for the Price – Would buy again
I’ve been using this monitor for a few days and I’m really enjoying it. The color range is impressive for the price point (I got it on sale for ~$140), you just have to use the right preset. I would recommend starting with the Scenery or Cinematic preset and tweaking from there.- I primarily use the monitor with my PS4 Pro, so while the 75Hz refresh rate doesn’t really benefit me (current consoles max out at 60Hz), I noticed a difference with the 1ms response time. It took a few minutes to adjust to it, but once I did, it seemed much more enjoyable than the 6ms response that I had with my old monitor.- The power supply is still a “brick”, but it’s much smaller than most that I’ve seen. I was able to tuck it behind my desk with no issues. Dual HDMI ports make it ideal for connecting both my PS4 and Xbox One, so I was able to ditch my crappy HDMI switcher.- On top of all the functionality, I think it looks really good. Small bezel with a robust, angular base and a handy (albeit small) cable management hole.- My only complaint about the monitor has to do with the “Low Blue Light” modes, which was one of the major reasons that I wanted a new monitor. When you select any level of “Low Light”, the monitor automatically switches to the “Racing Mode” preset, which is extremely muted and muddy looking, so I have stopped trying to use it, so minus 1 star for that- Beyond that, I have nothing but positive things to say at this time. I will probably buy another one when the price goes back down to match this one. 4 out of 5 stars, would recommend.

I figured this was a good buy based on the specs
I bought this monitor for playing first person shooters on a console semi-competitively (Game Battles, MLG gametypes, scrimages, sweats, etc.). Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and mainly Destiny. From what I understand, this is a sub-par monitor for PC gaming, as high-end PC gaming monitors go upwards of 144Hz and beyond. But for a console, with all games being kept at 60FPS or less, I figured this was a good buy based on the specs. Good size, under $200, and low input lag. Before this, I gamed on my family’s 72″ Samsung TV. I did a bit of research and I believe the input lag was something around 78.9ms. This is around 7-9ms (it’s advertised as 1ms, but you have to consider actual lag from the console to the monitor). I pulled it out of the box and it took maybe 30 minutes for me to figure out all the settings and get the brightness and balancing and things set up. I plugged in my Xbox 360 (yes, 360, screw the Xbox One), and started playing. I didn’t notice a difference from the TV I was used to. I played quite a bit, and more of my shots started to hit and my movement felt a little better, but I chalked that up to a placebo effect. Then, I went back home for the holidays, taking my 360 with me and plugging it back into the 72″ Samsung I mentioned earlier. GOOD LORD. It was unplayable. I noticed the input lag as soon as I was at the main menu of Destiny. I played two doubles matches with a friend on Destiny and could barely move or shoot accurately. It felt like I was moving through jell-o. I gave up playing over break after that.I go back to college on my ASUS, and low and behold, everything was perfect. Unnoticeable input lag, and movement and shooting was back to being crisp and precise. It was then that I noticed just how much of a difference this monitor makes. After that, I played lots of competitive matches and worked to improve as much as I could. When playing sweats on Destiny, I was making plays and hitting shots that wouldn’t have been possible in a million years on a 72″. I went from an above-average player to one of the top current ranked Destiny players in the world (currently fluctuating between #1 and #2, thanks to clanmates). Is this monitor magical? No. If you’re a bad player, you’re not going to magically get better with this monitor. But if you’re like me, play on a semi-competitive level, you’re a well above-average player, and want a good gaming monitor to maximize your performance, go with this. I know BenQ and ASUS are both very good for competitive FPS monitors, and to be honest, I’m not an expert on monitors so I can’t say which is better. But I can say that I am more than pleased with this monitor.TL;DR: No problems, beautiful picture quality, near non-existent input lag, and simple user interface make this, in my opinion, one of the best gaming monitors you can get for under $200. I have absolutely no complaints thus far (three months into owning it; I will update if any problems arise). HIGHLY recommend.

Very nice monitor that is always on sale for a great price
I like this monitor very much as it has helped me play a large number of games. I haven’t had any issues with it and it has worked to how I have hoped. I only wish I had bought a 240hz monitor instead.

27″ 75Hz; I would buy it again and recommend it.
I ordered the 27″ 75Hz monitor for around $250 and it is working great. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend.Pro’s:- The monitor is very versatile; you can tilt and rotate, or move it up and down with ease – even in the middle of game-play- Great gaming monitor for the price; comes with FreeSync and 75hz (fps) for around $250- I have no issues with color; everything looks beautiful- Cable management is a snap. The piece in the back snaps out so you can route cables through it, then you just pop it back in. I have my power cable, DisplayPort cable, mouse, and keyboard all routing through the monitor’s base.- Comes with a DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA cableCon’s:- If you are looking for color accuracy for an art station, consider elsewhere.- You have to turn on FreeSync in the monitor settings (Go to Image > Scroll down all the way > FreeSync > On)- To get 75Hz, you must use a DisplayPort cable. HDMI will max out at 60 HzNotes:- FreeSync is meant only for AMD graphics cards; not Nvidia; If you have Nvidia, consider a GSync or a monitor without any sync- You have to pick up the monitor if you want to rotate all the way vertical from horizontal- At this price range ($200-300) you have to choose which features you want. Some features include versatile monitor positions, freesync/gsync, cable management, color accuracy, ultra-wide screen, curved screen, and video refresh rate.- This monitor chooses versatility, freesync, and cable management.

Nice monitor.
I really like this monitor. I bought this to go with my new gaming PC. I play Apex and Star Wars the old republic and never have a issue with the monitor. the controls on the back are a little confusing and hard to grasp. But that’s ok. I like how it automatically turns on whenever I turn my PC on, or whenever I turn my Xbox on which is also hooked up to it. I’m using an HDMI switch and it doesn’t seem to lag at all either. A big downside is the speakers in it don’t work, if there are any. It says it comes with 2 2 watt speakers. If they’re in there they don’t work. I have the volume turned all the way up, but I still don’t hear anything. And I’ve adjusted the settings to try and figure it out. Thankfully I wear a headset when I play so I don’t need them. But that was very misleading.

Just what I was looking for
Great Product. Has every feature I need for when I need it. Writing this review right now after a long sesh of gaming on my PC. My neck began hurting and my eyes are becoming sore so I turned up the blue light filter and pivoted my monitor to better suit a natural neck position.Normally use this monitor for my PS4 to play FPS games but have been using it as a monitor for my laptop the past couple days.Full 1080p. 60Hz (all I need for console) Has a crosshair feature, vsync if you have that in your computer. Screen goes up, down, left right, high, low, and 90 degrees.Comes with presets right out the box, and HDMI, VGA, audio, power supply. No manual but is pretty straight forward.Researched a lot of monitors within this price range before buying one as I play competitive games on PS4, was first looking at the new model BenQ Zowie RL2455 because that company is the official monitor for MLG, but realized this monitor was the same exact thing and more…. For a bit cheaper also. One thing I find weird though, say I’m in FPS mode, or any other mode, if I turn up the blue light filter, it automatically changes to racing mode. Something I had to work around. Seems racing mode is the default GameVisual preset? Idk.I am really happy I purchased this product, seems as though ASUS is looking to directly compete with BenQ with this product line. When it’s time to purchase another monitor for dual setup, I’ll be coming here.

Best monitor under $200 you’re gonna find
Easy to set up, plug right in, and use right away. The curve is so immersive & the colors are wayyy better than my old screen. Also gaming above 100hz is crazy. There’s a lot of settings you can change to make it personalized to you and I would definitely recommend anyone get this. It’s inexpensive, good quality, and worth it.

Easy on the Eyes
I’m not a gamer. I just wanted a monitor that would be easy to look at for extended periods of time. This monitor fits the bill very well. There are fairly extensive controls for the monitor, just on the hardware (via a set of buttons on the back of the monitor, at lower right), such as a blue light filter selection. Software settings can further tune the display. It comes with an AC-to-DC power adapter. I’m not an electrical engineer, but I think that having the monitor run on DC may help reduce flicker, and thus eye-strain.There are two HDMI ports, one VGA port, a DC-in port, an audio-in port, and an audio-out port. There are no dead or white pixels on the monitor, as far as I can tell. No buzzing sounds, either. The LED power indicator is very unobtrusive; it faces down (rather than at you), and you can even turn the power indicator off if you want. The monitor’s position may be adjusted along four degrees of freedom: height, twisted left or right, tilted up or town, and rotated for a vertical or horizontal display. This is my first day with the monitor, so I can’t speak to the longevity of the device. But I can say that I am pleased with it so far. The only thing I would change would be to add a couple USB ports. Other than that, great monitor.

Why You Should Consider This Monitor for Work, Not Just for Gaming
Yes, this is a “gaming” monitor but here’s what it’s also a good monitor for work. I was looking for a good, affordable FHD monitor and ended up going with the VG245H for a variety of reasons.TWO HDMI PORTS -> If you have multiple computers, or you want a co-worker to be able to project onto yours, then it’s super helpful to have the two ports. I wanted to be able to hook up a Switch and my laptop at the same time, so this was perfect.75HZ OVER HDMI -> Who says high refresh rate has to be limited to just gamers? 75Hz works using just the HDMI port (displayport not required). How easy is that?ADJUSTABLE STAND -> This was actually one of the main reasons I went with this monitor. The angle/height adjustment on this monitor is top-notch. It’s similar to the adjustment of VG248QE.THE PRICE -> I did want an IPS monitor but didn’t want to spend too much. This is not IPS but it’s under $200.THE BAD -> There’s just 1 con, but doesn’t prevent me from giving this 5 stars. First, the color accuracy = garbage. Experiment with the profiles until you find one that works well for you.Overall, low response time and high refresh rate (even if it’s just a tad over 60Hz) gives you productivity benefits that are great for more than just gaming but also office productivity.

READ ALL IF YOU GAME ( FORTNITE APEX WARZONE FIFA and what not)
This is the review we all want. Also, I am not a nerd so I won’t say anything about specific stuff. But This monitor revolutionized my gaming experience. I was having screen tearing. and not up to 90 fps in any of my games . I have a Nitro 5. But now that I have this monitor, I have 144 fps on competitive settings Fortnite and 120 fps apex legends. It is really smooth, with no dead pixels or ghosting, or anything negative. I love the size. It . This is my experience using a gaming laptop imagine if you already have a gaming pc. You will not regret it. STRONGLY RECOMMEND if you have the money. For my laptop guys, don’t forget to go to device manager, double click display adapters, and right-click and disable your intel r so that your laptop fully uses your monitor for the full frames. It’s not a big deal .. also re-enable before you unplug. LONG STORY SHOR BEST MONITOR FOR ME.

I’ve had this monitor for almost two years and I love it!
This monitor is great for console gaming, pc gaming, and for work purposes. It has different modes like fps and racing modes which are super cool. I have both HDMIs hooked up and I can switch between inputs relatively easy. The controls on the back are kind of hard to use but I also hardly use them.I switched from a 1080p 60fps tv to this monitor and my gaming was improved immensely. The response time is very noticeable and it actually gives you an advantage compared to tv players. My eyes have never hurt and I have never gotten a headache or anything while using this monitor. I’m not sure why it is 75 hz but I don’t think I would be able to tell the difference between 60 and 75. Obviously if your pc can handle it I would recommend going for 120 hz+ as I’ve heard it makes a huge difference. I personally am more of a console gamer although I play minecraft on PC so I don’t need more frames per second. Not quite a 4k monitor but it is still very smooth and I’m glad I bought this monitor.

Simply amazing
I absolutely love this monitor! I wasn’t sure I would like the curved aspect but it’s awesome when I’m playing Warcraft. The colors are vibrant and no dead pixels at all. I will definitely buy another when my older 2nd monitor finally dies.

Best display I have played on. Don’t use a tv.
I can’t believe I was using a tv for so long before I bought this monitor. I mostly play Rainbow 6 seige on pc and noticed I was at a bit of a disadvantage due to reaction time against other players. After asking why it was that seemingly everyone had a better reaction time than me I was told by some of the other players that it could be because of my current display being a 4K tv and having a large input lag. I did some research and sure enough input lag on my tv was 60-150ms. That is a really long time when your game depends on lightning reaction times. I also noticed that playing on a tv, I didn’t see some things when I was turning my aim quickly due to ghosting. So I got this monitor and the difference was night and day. My reaction times went from a drunkard’s 350-400ms to a cracked out call of duty player’s 200-220ms: faster than most of the people I was playing against. I did notice there is still a slight amount of ghosting even after adjusting some monitor settings but it is still 1000 times better than using a tv. The color is fantastic as well as the contrast. I can really see fine details when in game when it really matters. It’s definitely a huge plus that I paired this monitor with my AMD graphics card to utilize freesync. No more ugly lines in the middle of the screen where half the screen was a frame behind. My ONLY issue with the monitor is that when you slouch in your chair, the monitor lets you know by showing you a washed out picture. Viewing angles aren’t the monitor’s strong suit but it is still great for one person using it to game on, exactly my purpose for buying it. So that doesnt detract any stars from my rating seeing as this is marketed to gamers and gamers like to sit close to their monitors and dead center for the best possible experience.Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and I will likely buy 2 more for a triple monitor setup because the cost on this monitor is very nice compared to other similar monitors.

10/10 great drop-proof monitor
I cannot recommend this monitor enough.I bought it to be the second monitor for my laptop. It came in the mail a few weeks after I ordered it. After hooking everything up, I came to the conclusion that having 2 monitors should be a human right. The picture quality is ok, not bad, but not great. Where it really shines is response time and refresh rates. For the price, it’s the best gaming monitor on the market. The stand’s left/right, tilt, and vertical movement is also quite spectacular. More on that below. The real reason I decided to actually write an Amazon review is an incident I like to call “The Drop”.I was replacing my desk with a bigger one that better fits my new glorious two screen setup, and foolishly decided to move my laptop without unplugging all the cords. I thought the distance between the desks wasn’t very far. I was wrong. My laptop had almost made it to its spacious new home when I felt a strong resistance and then slack, followed by a thud. I spin around to see that my new monitor was no longer on top of my old desk. In that moment I felt a terrible sinking feeling.Fearing the worst, I peered over my old desk to see that it was surprisingly still standing straight up. Confused, I picked it up, and realize to my great glee the stand’s vertical movement had cushioned the monitor’s fall. It was still as good as new.Don’t make the same mistake as me.Unplug all cords before moving a laptop, unless you too want to test the drop resistance of this monitor.

Great ‘budget’ monitor.
I had already spent around $1500 on building a gaming PC, so I was looking for a relatively cheap but decent monitor to not go too far. This is quite adequate for gaming if you either can not: afford an expensive monitor, don’t care about graphics or have a lower end graphics card. It is also more than enough for standard internet browsing or work related activity. It only outputs up to 1080p, but it still looks good and uses freesync which works with gsync if you have a Nvidia graphics card (which I do).It has two hdmi slots, but no display port. This was a problem as my card had two display ports and one HDMI, so I had to get a DP -> HDMI cable. It does degrade the quality a bit, but I use this on my second monitor so it’s not an issue. The picture quality looks good for what you would expect out of 1080p and it has a fair amount of settings that you can mess with. I did research what works well and found the ‘Racing’ to be a good pick. It also has a small thumb stick on the back to switch through settings and has an option to switch inputs, which is good to change it to my work laptop. This goes up to 75hz and I get between 60-100 fps depending on game; for reference, I play a lot of WoW and Overwatch and they look great.I ended up buying two of these for my dual setup and they work fine until I can upgrade in the feature. If you are looking for a good entry level gaming monitor or just need something for casual use, this is a great deal.

Fantastic Gaming Monitor!!!
I play mostly FPS (Halo/COD) on XBOX one. This monitor is awesome! I was previously gaming on a 22′ Samsung monitor with 5ms response time. It’s tough to tell between 5 and 1ms really, but the 1ms response time just “feels” crisp and responsive. Games look great on the monitor and 24′ inches is a great size and noticeably bigger than my 22′. I think 24′ for me personally as a competitive FPS player, is right on the cusp of how large I would want the screen. Picture is crisp, colorful and VERY clear. The buttons on the back right side of the monitor are subtle and there is even a very small button (almost like a thumb stick on an Xbox one controller) on the back to help you easily navigate through the menus which is very convenient. There is built in sound which doesn’t sound bad if you don’t have headphones. I keep the external monitor sound muted because I game with headphones which is extremely easy to toggle on and off. One other thing I really like about this monitor is the height adjust ability. It’s really smooth and you can literally drop the monitor to the base of the monitor or raise it quite high. This is great for people gaming with this on a desk and who want to make their chair level with their monitor. Assembly was really easy, the box came in great shape and everything was packed very well and secure. One thing to mention is that my box came just as you would buy it in the store. I ordered with amazon prime and UPS left it at my door which is totally fine with me. I live in a pretty secure apartment, but if you live somewhere not so safe, make sure you are there or have somebody there to receive the package (or make some kind of special request) as it would be VERY easy to tell this is a nice gaming monitor and somebody could easily pick it up and walk off.

+Packaging was excellent – safe as it can be +the power cord …
I am not an expert for monitors this is technically my first purchase for a computer monitor and I really needed one so I looked and oogled and tubed and compared.THENI found this.+Packaging was excellent – safe as it can be+the power cord for the monitor is nice because it is long enough for the box to sit comfortably on the ground and not hanging which makes me happy because i always end up getting power cords that are too short for the box to sit on the ground to i have to make room on the table.+the buttons are the size of your fingertips and they hide behind those little painted symbols at the bottom right screen+there is a little joystick like flippy switch next to those buttons and easy for anyone even for the not so techy people to use because you cant really go wrong with how you push it because it helps navigate the menu to adjust settings personally for you monitor.+the ability to adjust the monitor low to high, rotate left or right from the stand it has, and maybe you feel like admiring pictures or art from a vertical view for a slide show.+you can adjust the monitor up to its highest setting to look under the monitor to plug in your 2 HDMI cords or 1 vga and audio jack. (or just tilt it because you dont want to look under which i guess works too but it takes less effort doing this way cause of how high the monitor goes)1920×1080 resolution is awesome :)<3<#<3I love this monitor I probably plan on getting a second one!Still making choices on other monitors? don't have a good budget right now? I respect that but I will have to say if you chose this one....you're making a damn good decision. 8 people found this helpful

For the price….. I’m satisfied
This is a great upgrade from my ancient HP 2159m monitor. I have much less input lag for gaming now and the picture quality, although may not be the best at color reproduction, is perfectly fine for gaming and even videos.However…. I do see ghosting even with the anti-trace enabled in some games. The monitor says it has a 1ms gtg response time so I kind of expected a bit better on the ghosting.I cannot use the Freesync feature with my GTX 1060 because this monitor does NOT have a displayport input. Currently the only way to use this feature with Nvidia cards is to use it with displayport as this monitor is not on the official list of working monitors for Nvidia for cross compatibility for the Freesync feature.Pros:- Although I see a bit of ghosting, the monitor is very responsive and is great for gaming.- Looks great while watching video.- Nice sturdy heavy base (much heavier than I expected it to be at least)- Has built in speakers for people in need of a quick solutionCons:- Colors arent the best, some colors get washed out in certain situations- Can only use Freesync with Nvidia cards using displayport and this monitor does not have thatOverview:- There are more good things about this monitor than bad, and 1 of the bad things about it is my own user error for not knowing about the displayport thing for Nvidia as I was looking forward to using the feature. For the price this is a great monitor and you cannot really go wrong with it if your on a budget.

Decent Quality.
I bought this, but should have bought the 27″. Good quality. Fast response time for gaming. The only real annoyance is they put the power indicator light on the bottom of the bezel facing down. You have to bend down to see if it is on. I guess that would matter if you use your pc in the dark and didn’t want any light . For me its a pain.
