It gets cold!
I have an 18 year old cat that has started standing on my face at 2am begging for a midnight snack and won’t take no for an answer. For months I was crawling out of bed, opening a can and giving him a scoop, then setting the can aside with the intent to carry it down to the fridge when I woke up, and crawled back into bed. I NEVER remembered the can. So I was hemorrhaging money in the form of not even half eaten cans of smelly cat food. I got the idea to buy a little fridge for my room to solve this problem. And before you ask “Why didn’t you just walk downstairs at night?” There are also 2 geriatric dogs asleep downstairs, and if they hear you walking downstairs at 2am they bark their heads off for breakfast. (I swear we are not starving these animals!). So I searched and searched and compared prices and reviews. Small size was important because I don’t have a lot of space to work with. This little guy seemed to be the best bet. And it came in blue. Double points. It arrived pretty quickly and worked as soon as I plugged it in. Instructions said to put something cold in it to cool it faster and I did try that the first day. I have been turning it on only at night for the specific use of the cat food (I carry the food down in the morning, who knew a blue box on the floor would remind me to grab the can of cat food?). The last 2 nights I have turned it on when I get in bed (10ish) and by 2am when I am fumbling with cat food in the dark, its perfectly cold inside. Its actually a little TOO cold on the bottom, so I have been putting the can on the shelf (sometimes he asks for seconds at 4am and I don’t want it too frozen for him). I have NOT traveled with it, but with the little handle and car adapter, I think it would be great for trips. Also, I read in other reviews that it was loud. It is NOT loud. There is a fan running but I struggle to hear it. I think my laptop fan is louder than this fridge. Also have not tried the “warm” setting. But really, who uses a fridge to keep things warm??TLDR; perfect size for my needs and keeps things cold!***One Year Update: still chugging along!! I keep it running 24/7 now. I keep a couple drinks and cat food in it, as well as medication my (now 19 year old!) kitty takes that needs to be refrigerated. There is some ice buildup in the back and usually a small puddle of water on the bottom but keeps things perfectly cold still and still not loud! The strip around the door popped out a few months ago but I pushed it back in and it hasn’t moved since.Still very happy with my purchase. Let’s see if we make it to two years!**Dec 15 2021 update: after making a strange whining noise for a couple of days (I thought it was the motor in my cats water fountain) I came home tonight to a broken mini fridge. Had to throw away medicine and food inside. Can’t say I didn’t get a great year and half out of it, but wish it had gone a little longer! I’d still say it was a decent purchase.

Lasts pretty long
I bought this on March 6 2022 and it is just now shutting down on December 14 2023. It kept all my things cold (I kept skincare in it) and I’m very impressed. I do recommend it but how long it lasts may be different for others.

Waste of Money for the 1st item. Yay for the replacement!
It sadly stopped working after having it for 2 months. I liked it while it lasted. It suddenly shut off and the green light began blinking. Unfortunately I did not buy the extra protection so now it’s useless.So here’s an update. The company or seller reached out! They sent me a new item. So far the new fridge is working well! I hope that it’ll last.Regardless I am impressed with them reaching out and solving my issue! Awesome customer service!

Perfect for overnight breast pumping supplies. Fits Spectra bottles and flanges.
My wife hated getting up three times a night and walking all the way to our kitchen, twice each time, just so she could pump breast milk for our baby. She wanted a mini fridge in our bedroom which we didn’t have space for and I wasn’t thrilled about the electricity needs and noise. This was a perfect solution.Her Spectra pumping bottles and flanges fit perfectly inside this micro fridge, along with a third bottle to pour the breastmilk into. It’s small and light enough to keep on a night stand or folding TV tray.The only odd thing is it doesn’t have a temperature control. This is because of the electrical cooling system, which is completely different from a coolant based refrigerator. Because it doesn’t have a compressor and refrigerant, it only lowers the ambient air temperature of the room about 40 degrees. So if your room is 80 degrees, the fridge will be 40 inside. If your room is 70 degrees, the fridge could be closer to 30 degrees. It is relatively quiet, but the green light on the back is very bright. If you have this in a bedroom at night, you might want to cover it with a piece of black tape.I measured the sound just a few inches from the back and got about 60 dB, which is normal conversation levels of two people about 3 feet apart, or an average window unit air conditioner from a few feet away. Of course, this was 3 inches from the fridge, so it is much quieter a few feet away. It has not kept us from sleeping at night. It is actually more quiet than our baby’s whitenoise machine.When you first plug it in, it will take a long time to get cold, so we jump-started the cooling by placing a frozen reusable ice pack inside. Just a couple hours later, it was cold inside and ready for breast pump parts and milk.

Convenient
I bought the black one for my sons room. Its pretty small and fits on his desk. It has a retro look to it that I love. He’s been able to fit about 6 can drinks in there at once. He sometimes has snacks in there as well. The drinks stay cold and it doesnt make much noise.

Epically and comedically terrible! Read this before turning it on!
I bought this fridge as a replacement for a similar one I bought 3 years ago that wore out. It’s a simple little fridge without much to it, as you would expect. I slid the switch to “cool” without looking at the back plate of the device too much; the red LED went on. OK, fine. I put a couple of cans of Coke Zero in to test it out, and went home from the office.The next day I sat down at my desk, started working, and glanced over at the table with the fridge maybe half an hour later. There were brown puddles on the table and dried brown splotches on my computer printer and other items on the table. Surprised, I went over to look, and realized the liquid came from the fridge. I opened the door, and to my surprise found two empty cans of Coke Zero, the lids of each can blown partly off. The fridge itself was extremely hot inside. I immediately unplugged it, and then inspected the back plate of the fridge, thinking I must have wrongly slid the switch in back to “heat” rather than “cool.”Take a look at the photo. I was pretty mad at first about this fridge blowing up two cans of soda and making a mess in my office. But you can’t stay mad when faced with chabuduo this hilarious! I had indeed slid the switch to “cool.” However, as you can see in the photo, all the words on the back are printed mirror-image. Some manufacturing person (I won’t dignify that person with the term “technician” or “assembler,” as those terms are associated with some level of skill) clearly flipped the stencil used for printing those words, and no one at the factory was familiar enough with the Latin alphabet to realize that. Then, somehow the “heat” setting became associated with cooling, and vice versa. No one noticed this during manufacturing or during QC. Silly me; QC is not part of the chabuduo experience!So after extensive cleaning – which still isn’t done, as my box of Christmas decorations for the office got soaked with Coke Zero – I put the switch on “heat” (I can’t type the mirror image characters in here) and waited for half an hour to see what would happen. Sure enough, this little thing cooled off. I put 1 can in and came back the next day. It was really cold, so at least it works when you figure out the workaround. Well, it’s worked for a few days; I don’t hold out hope that it will last long. I suspect the innards are made of shredded cardboard and inadequately-gauged wire.If you do choose to spend your money on this shoddily-fabricated abomination of a product, test it empty first, lest your office, car, or home be drenched with exploding cans of liquid. Better yet, buy a different fridge from a different vendor.

The gift was a winner!
We do a family gift exchange every Christmas. But no weird dud gifts. Everything Hass to be a nice gift for someone to receive. So I got this because I know a lot of girls like to put their make up in it, guys like a fridge in their work truck, or just a fridge in your room. It stopped working.
I received the mini fridge today and was very excited to use it. My purpose for the fridge was to replace the bigger fridge I have in my room to keep my skin care products cool. Well, it turns out, it does NOT do what it’s supposed to do. I placed my skin care products in the fridge before I left home and made sure the setting was on cool. However, when I returned home at night, I smelled something burning (like rubber) in my room and right then I knew that it was the fridge. When I opened the fridge, all my skin care products were very warm. As you may be able to guess, these are not made to be kept in warm temperature… Now, my skin care products approximately worth $200 are all RUINED because of the malfunctioning fridge.This is very upsetting and what if it caused fire???? Like I mentioned, my entire master bedroom smelled like something was burning from the fridge. I had to open all the windows to ventilate the room as soon as I walked in.UPDATE:The seller has reached out to me to address my concerns. They sent me a replacement fridge but this time, fully tested to ensure that the functionalities do work. They also covered for my expenses as I had to repurchase them all (though it didn’t cover for all and it was a little annoying to go a few days without my skin care products) but I still thank them for their professionalism and prompt response.UPDATE 7/2/2020:As mentioned above, the seller has sent me a replacement last winter but I did not start using it until about last month. Well, it worked fine, except it generates water so I had to put some paper towel at the bottom inside the fridge (no biggie, I can deal with that..), but just last week, I could feel that the temperature inside the fridge has gone up and it was pretty much the room temperature when I checked so I turned it off in case something similar happens again (see my previous review). Not sure what’s wrong with it or if it’s not supposed to last for a long time although I don’t consider 1 month to be long. At this point, I might just go back to using my bigger fridge. I hope my reviews are helpful.

Perfect for breast milk storage
I purchased this so I could store my breast milk overnight in it so I wouldn’t have to go up and down the stairs in the middle of the night after a pumping session. It keeps everything cold and has enough space to hold everything I pump throughout the night.

Trustworthy company! (It stopped working 4 months later, but refund issued)
This was a great little mini fridge for four months, until it suddenly stopped working in the middle of the night. Bought it for my wife to keep baby formula cold in our infant room at night. Worked from late August 2023 to mid December 2023. Then stop working, and the green power light won’t stay on. Shame. Wish it was built to last.Update: After seeing my review the company offered to provide a refund, which I accepted, and decided to purchase another unit to give this company a second chance. Changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars.

Really perfect for keeping a 6-pack in my classroom. I love how quiet it is, and I’m willing to accept the ~45F temps in exchange for having no noisy compressor. Did I mention that it’s also considerably cheaper than a traditional mini-fridge?

Update: Great product until it dies—but fantastic customer service
This product is otherwise a nice product. We are diligent to keep the vents clean and free of dust. However, after unplugging it to clean around the counter and plugging it back in there is a flashing green light and the fan isn’t moving.Unfortunately, this is the second time this happened; same problem with a previous unit. They seem to be good for 1 or 2 years then dead.Update: we contacted the seller directly, who then responded within 24 hours. We conducted a few tests and determined the unit indeed failed. We received a replacement AstroAI in 2 days. The fan is a bit noisier, but seems to move more.

Update – customer service at the seller reached out to me very soon after my review and sent a replacement. I really appreciated their quick response to making things right.Gave to my don in Sept and it’s already broken! Sad part is I bought another for my other sons birthday in December and I’m out of the return period. I’m sure I’ll have to replace that one come February.Save yourself the trouble and buy a different fridge!

Perfect for breastfeeding mom
I bought this to keep in my bedroom so that I didn’t need to run downstairs in the middle of the night to store or get breast milk. It is small and quiet. Fits my bottles perfectly with or without the small shelf. Recently we noticed the back freezing a bit but that hasn’t impacted its functionality. Love this!

Bottom Line:Very sharp looking, super light weight and it is very easy to use. We tested out both warming and cooling features and no problem. Very quiet too. The indicator lights on the back are not bright and for us, not an annoyance during the night. Yes we see it as ideal for home, office and travel uses.Also worthy of note,it arrives with the unit encased in bubble wrap inside it’s product carton. The packaging is easy to remove. For us the boxed item was in a larger box from Amazon. No issues.Set up: Easy.How easy would it be to by accident have it on the wrong setting?Well there are indicator lights on the back over the words indicating cold or warm. Red for warm and green for cold. Between the two settings is the off switch. We found this immediately easy to understand and always know what was what with or without looking.Warming:To test to see if it heats up to 150 degrees, knowing that American cheese melts at 137 degrees F. we place parchment paper on the fridge shelf and then on top of that placed an uncooked, no butter american cheese sandwich on that shelf, closed the door and set it on warm. checked 30 minutes later and the bread was warm to hot and the cheese was melted. So pretty darm close to 150 degrees.Cooling:First night I kept a couple 12 oz sodas and a mini can of soda in the fridge and it all was crisp and cold .Second night I put 2 12 oz deli containers of salad ( cucumber chickpea salad and fresh culiflower celery and chickpea salad) plus a mini can of soda in the fridge. It was all there for me to grab for my 3 meals that day.Do we wish it were bigger?We needed it to help me, person with disabilities who can’t cook in the traditional sense, so we needed a way for while my husband is at work, I can easily access basic foods. This is perfect WITH sometimes packing a simple lunch box with a few other fruits and vegetables or drinks some days. Easy fix.

Lasts about two years
It was great until it quit suddenly. It WAS run continuously. Would not suggest for food or meds if the room temp is over 69° as food kept between 40°F to 140°F is not reliably safe, and it only cools 30°F below room temp. Uses very little electricity, which is great. Was hoping to get a few more years out of it. I don’t believe anyone can fix it locally, so this is it for this fridge.

Did the job, but only lasted a year
I only used this product at night to store milk. It overall did well as it kept the milk cold. It only lasted a little over a year before the cold side stopped working. Because I only used it at night, it is disappointing that it didn’t last longer.

Lacking
The media could not be loaded.
Have as many friends for about 7 months it died I got it in May 2023 it died October 2023. I say I had different brands of mini fridges this is the most lackluster one I will not buy this brand again. 7 months lifespan for this mini fridge is too short that’s why I subtracted a star also it barely kept anything cold I say at the six sodas cans I kept in there it only kept four maybe three of them cold enough to drink. That’s why another star was subtracted it is a three-star item short life span and can barely kept anything cold. You know for 30 bucks I get what I paid for so I’m going to try a different brand of the mini one I’m just not a fan of the Astro AI.

Great little fridge.
This is a great mini refrigerator it works well for the medications that need to be kept cold.My only issue is It was advertised to get down to approximately 31° but it has never gotten below 41°, It stays around 42° to 43° In my experience.Other than that I’m happy with it.

Keeps meds colder than my actual fridge!
I bought this to stash prescription medication that needs refrigerated upstairs so that I don’t have to go downstairs when I need them. I have a chronic illness and it’s a LOT to ask when I’m struggling. Because it was for meds and meds are expensive, I was really worried if this would keep them cold enough or if it would spoil them but I was desperate so I took a shot. Shout out to the breastfeeding parents on here leaving the reviews that convinced me to get this particular brand!I made sure to follow the instructions and put it in the most temperate controlled room upstairs and made sure it had plenty of space. I actually stashed it under a side table so it’s shaded from a decent amount of the lights of the room too. I left a glass of water in there overnight to test the temp with a thermometer. Temp was reading between 36 and 39 degrees the next day using a room scanner to test the fridge and an instant read digital meat thermometer to test the water. I’ve kept medication in there for a week and haven’t had a problem. I swear the bottle is colder than it’s been in the main fridge downstairs. Although to be fair, I don’t open this little guy any more than necessary to make sure it STAYS cold. STILL THOUGH! Plenty of room for meds and even a can or two of sparkling water. I’ll be interested to see if this holds up into the summer but so far I have high hopes! Last point: I was worried that the hum would bother my family because it’s in the main loft area but nobody notices it.Definitely would recommend reading the directions and testing it first but great product! Thank you!

Great for Travel
Needed a small “fridge” to travel with for prescription dog food. This was great for a weekend getaway. Fits in suitcase or travel bag. Very quiet to use. Cigarette style charger included as well as wall plug and usb plug in. Does not hold a lot but for small items that need to stay cool better then hotel rental fridge at $50+/day.

This is a great mini fridge, i keep it beside the bed TBH for easy access.Only complaint i have which made it a 4 star instead of 5 is the fact that it has a tiny light on it when its on & it cant be turned off, which disturbs my sleep.If its not in your bedroom, then its 5 Stars.

I Love it!!!
How freakin cute! I cannot wait to use this! I tested it out in my porch and yup, it gets cold! I travel a lot for hockey games so I can load this thing up gatorades and waters for the kids. Maybe an iced coffee for me too! Lol I love the white, it looks modern and clean. It’s nice and quiet too. For the price, I’m happy and I highly recommend getting this if you want or need it!

Update 10/8: AstroAI reached out to me and offered to send a replacement free of charge! Excellent customer service!!– Original Review Below –Failed about 4 months in. Fans don’t spin, stopped cooling/heating, now makes a clicking sound. Thinking the power supply died. Tried unplugging/replugging, using different outlet, etc. Nothing worked.Great while it lasted though. Kept multiple drinks and food items cold for weeks. Water stayed ice cold. No impact on electric bill. Barely audible noise. Do note that it tends to catch some condensation inside. Fixed that by leaving a paper towel at the bottom.Might buy it again. Hoping the next one lasts a little longer.

I bought this solely for breast milk storage- to avoid getting up at night to store milk or grab milk from the fridge downstairs to feed my baby.I turned it on and put my milk in it and wasn’t too pleased with the cooling strength. It occurred to me that I could put in a frozen bottle of water to help the fridge pick up cooling and I did just that and it’s been 10 hours and the water is still frozen and my milk is as cold as it usually is at the back of my house fridge!Best postpartum purchase for me!

Worked well for a while
Nice compact size, unfortunately after a year it simply stopped working. Even with the affordable price I doubt I’d repurchase a product that only lasts a year.

take your measurements
I bought this to replace a mini fridge that had seen its last days. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it was smaller than my previous fridge. If you use this for sodas, you’re going to need to get the small bottles or buy cans. I liked keeping items from yogurt to sodas in it so I didn’t have to go down the stairs at night (I’m a senior). So, I won’t be able to keep as much in it as the other fridge, but it serves its purpose.On a positive note, it got very cold very quickly and is a cute color. Nothing wrong with the product, just make sure it’s the right size for you.

Lasted a little over 1 year
While it worked, here’s what I liked:1. Hot and Cold2 AC and DC adapters-can use on the road3.It’s cute. Like many others, I used it to stored cosmetic serums.4. Could store masks and flat items on doorHere’s what I did NOT like1. Leaked water when using cold. Maybe that’s to be expected as ice and condensation will form, but seemed like too much. I would shut it off to defrost, then turn on again.2. There were too few Shelf heights. Some items had to go in sideways.The fact that it failed after only one year is a big disappointment for me. Stopped cooling and hot/cold switch was stuck, possibly melted inside fridge. The annual cost to operate is almost the price of the mini-fridge. It wasn’t practical for road trips (too small). It was used in my bedroom, maybe 40 feet from my kitchen (where there’s plenty of space for my serums).I was thinking I might want to purchase a new one, but after writing this review, I’ve talked myself out of it.

Keeps my water cold enough for me
I’ve only had the fridge for 2 days and 2 nights now, but everything about it so far has been perfect. I took it out of the box (make sure you flip the switch to cold and not hot). The bottles of water I put in were already cold. They stayed perfectly cold. If I take the shelf out I can fit four 16.9 oz bottles of water in it but absolutely nothing else. I bought 8oz bottles of water (still fit 4 under the shelf) and with the shelf back in, I could fit a few small snacks. I put it on my nightstand and it doesn’t detract from the decor at all because it’s so small. I bought the extended warranty, so I’ll revisit this review to say how long a life the fridge had, and if I have to use the extended warranty, how easy or difficult the process was.

Hard to trust it stays right temp with no temp gauge
It took me a couple weeks to feel comfortable that it could be cold enough (38 degrees) for me to store my breast milk. I wanted a convenient little fridge on my second floor so I didn’t have to go down to the big fridge in the middle of the night. I have tested the temp with a little thermometer, and it appears to be at 38 degrees, but I’m afraid that won’t be the case in the summer. In general, I wish it had a reading of the temperature to ease my mind. I don’t know how much the temp changes upon opening the door too since it’s such a small fridge. It took a long time to get cold too. However, as of now, I hesitatingly state that I think it’s working well.

Keeps drinks cool-not cold
I bought this to replace a 5 gallon water cooler. I wanted to see if it would keep a bottle of water cool enough at a much lower price. It does an adequate job of keeping a bottle of water cool. It will not make it cold. This is not a typical refrigerator that uses a compressor and relies on thermolectric cooling. This scheme is what allows it to warm things up. The volume is small but meets my needs. It should be listed as a cooler and not a refrigerator. All in all a decent product at a low price.

Nice but too small
Bought it for pumping at work. Since it needs an ice pack to get cold enough, it doesn’t also have room for my pump parts and expressed milk. It got down to 50degrees after about an hour plugged in. Very cute.

Small, compact, and cools my drinks
The unit is about the size of a toaster. It comes with a 120v cord and a car 12v cord, and one shelf to separate the top and bottom. With the shelf, you can put 4 12oz standard sized cans on the bottom, and on top the shelf you can put 2 12oz cans on its side. That will fill this completely. You can also remove the shelf and put 4 standard 16.9 oz water bottles in it.I’ve only tested the cooling. How cool this works will depend on the room temperature. I tested in a location that was 93 degrees. The cans I put in was also about the same temperature. It took about 10 hours to drop 30 degrees. I had put in 5 cans and a thermometer. There was no room for the thermometer if I had 6 cans in there, as 6 cans will completely fill it. The instructions recommend putting an already cold drink in it, and it will help keep it cool until you are ready to drink it. If putting in a warm drink like I did, it will take many hours. I am filling it in the morning, and it should be ready when I get home from work.What surprised me was even at 63-67 degrees, my drinks felt like I took it out of a regular refridgerator. I do get condensation inside of it when the humidity is higher, but didn’t notice a problem when the humidity is low. I now have added one of those thin temperature gauges inside the door so I can get an idea of how cool it gets.I have not tried out the heating function.I have tried this in a 105 degree room. Even though the cans only got down to about 85, it still felt very cool compared to the room temperature. I would recommend this if your drink needs isn’t great. This will only handle 6 canned drinks or 4 standard size water bottles.

Bought this for my sister who resides in a nursing home. Rooms are small and this frig sits perfectly on her nightstand. It holds a couple of protein shakes and 4 jello/pudding cups. Fits her needs well.

excellent mini-fridge, great for use in an office
(Note: I’ve only used this in cooling mode, not heating mode.)Our office doesn’t allow fridges with compressors (even the dorm/garage-style 1.5-3.0 cu ft ones) due to their limited power circuits, so I debated getting one of these thermoelectric mini fridges, but I was skeptical because I didn’t think the thermoelectric method would keep them cold enough. I finally bought this one, and it definitely exceeds my expectations.This fridge definitely keeps my cans of soda cold in a standard office environment — temperatures usually in the low to mid 70s (ºF), and sometimes upper 70s or low 80s when their flaky HVAC is on the fritz. The sodas are actually noticeably colder than I keep my normal home refrigerator. (But don’t worry, it doesn’t freeze them. Feels like they’re almost that cold, but they’ve never had any ice in or on them.)It’s quiet. I think the fan runs continuously, but it’s very quiet. I have the fridge beside and slightly behind a monitor — on my desk, basically at arm’s length — and I literally can’t hear it over the office HVAC system. I can easily hear my laptop fan when I’m doing something processor-intensive, and that is much louder than the fridge’s fan. (I also had the fridge under the desk for awhile; same story.)It uses very little power for what it does. I measured it with a Kill-a-Watt, and I can’t find where I wrote that down now, but I’m fairly sure it was around 35W continuous. That’s probably less than your laptop or monitor is using. (It’s definitely less than mine is using.)I think it says it takes something like six hours to cool everything from room temperature when you first turn it on and load it, but I think mine were very cold in less than four hours — quite possibly earlier, but I didn’t open it to check until then.My only minor complaint — and I obviously didn’t dock a star for this — is that it’s mildly difficult to load and unload if you have a variety of soda and want one from the bottom. (You can’t use the shelf to help that if you’re keeping all six 12oz cans in it; the shelf won’t fit with six standard cans.) I’d like to have a version where the cans are upright and you open the top, like a mini-cooler. I would think they could do this and still mount the fan on the side. (I don’t necessarily need a carry-handle on top, if that had to be sacrificed for the top opening.)Excellent mini-fridge all around; I highly recommend it for an office environment or similar situation.

It works best as a desktop or work fridge. Can drain your car battery.
Updating my review to add it keeps things marginally cold if they are cold to begin with. It has limitations on cooling as all mini fridges seem to. Also we didn’t know you have to unplug the fridge when you turn the car off or else it drains the battery. It wasn’t what we were expecting but I guess it works the same as all these mini fridges do.
