First, I wasn’t sure what my rating was going to be

I wasn’t sure what to rate it at first🥹I think everybody knows about these things more than I did or I’m the last to know lol. I bought the four pack because I can make use guaranteed at least with three of them. If not the fourth one. When I first took it out of the box, I pulled the plastic tab so the battery starts to work and there was very loud chirp. So I was thinking good that’s going to make a good alarm. If I need to find it and have it play a sound. Everything is going well so far but then I want to see if I’m going to find it easy to replace the battery. I don’t know how long the battery will last. So screw the case which was easy and the battery came out and I looked at it carefully to see how it goes in and this is when the problems began. These must’ve been on the shelf for a very long time, because I think the battery made one loud chirp, and that was the end of what it had because when I put the battery back in it could barely chirp. Sometimes it didn’t chirp, but it was very low, volume and very short. I thought it’s not making contact with the battery clips or something so I make sure everything is clean and it doesn’t do any better. Now I’m thinking this is not going to be very reliable, and therefore not useful. I know they’re not going into inventory and replacing batteries on things that they don’t sell in the first year and these look like they are made two years ago. Anyway, I put it aside out of my mind and I went to go get my hair done a couple of days later. I left that one AirTag in the house near my bathtub and I wasn’t using it even contemplating returning the whole thing including the cases I bought. I was worried that it was like the security cameras I bought that our wireless and I felt really good so I bought a lot of them for the house and then I found out they have a habit of occasionally going off-line and need to be restarted that drove me crazy, so I never deployed more than one of them, and this was feeling like it was going to be another product just like that. Anyway, I wasn’t sure of all the ways I’m supposed to work with the AirTags so I figure I’m going to buy a battery and try it again in the next couple of days and then decide on returning or not. Anyway, I’m leaving the house to go for my appointment and my phone gives me a warning that I’m leaving my purse behind! I was so thrilled I was sure the battery is depleted or the AirTag doesn’t work well but the combination wasn’t working and it did. It told me the signals are weak so at least that means it worked. On the way home I had it help me locate it, and literally it walked me to within , 6 feet or less of where the AirTag was so just like advertised! These work and they are fantastic. There are many things you can do with them depending on how you want to put them because you have to worry that if somebody sees it on your luggage, they just have to take it off your bag and run through the battery real quick and then your AirTag is history . It’s a lumpy thing to try to hide unless it’s something really big like your car and you have a lot of places to put it but then I wonder because the car is metal is it going to work. I think if you make an opening in the lining of your suitcase, or your purse or something else and put it there , and then set a reminder like within the year that all of them need to have new batteries, you’re going to be very happy with them!!I totally understand that these are all the rage, but I also understand that if somebody has this program on their iPhone, they can find your items as well and possibly take them or take the battery out of it and now it is their AirTag and you lost your item and your AirTag!!!😡I totally recommend these for anybody that wants to have one more chance when you misplaced something important to you. It’s one more way before you say goodbye to something that’s important that you can have an opportunity to find it.

Not perfect, but it saved my dog’s life

Updates:1.When the dogs start howling at the coyotes at 6:30 in the morning, I play one dog’s AirTag once or twice and they all stop howling.2. We got a new black cat who is famous for hiding and not being found. I trained him to come out when I beep his AirTag. Sometimes I just use the find my app to find him rather than calling him out. Once he got out of the house at night and ran into the desert. I was able to track him by beeping his AirTag. He’s so black I would not have been able to find him without it. There are so many predators out here that it may have saved his life.3. I got an iPhone 13 ProMax. I’d hoped I could use the AirTag to find my car in a parking lot. It doesn’t really work for that. You’re better off just putting a pin in your map to help you find your car. My phone only starts sensing the tag when I’m within 15 feet or so. I usually have to be a lot closer than that for it to point towards the AirTag. So it works to find the cat in the house, but not my car. This is a great device to tell you approximately where something is, but it’s not perfect. Oddly, if it’s too dark, it will tell me it needs more light. I sure don’t understand that. Now the original review on how it saved my dog’s life…Got Air Tags for each of my dogs. Even decided to update my phone to better track them, but that’s not happening until April. We live in the wilderness. There are very few people out here and fewer iphones. When our dogs go exploring, we can’t find them via the AirTag (though one time my dog appearantly came across a hiker with an iphone as she registered as being on the trail.) However, when my husband goes biking and takes the dog, as long as they have cellphone coverage, we can see where they’re at.This morning I took Annie with me to pick up a Home Depot curbside order. Ran into Target to get some lettuce. Came out and Annie was gone. It became appearant I left the back windows open too much and she jumped out.The Air Tag had issues. It would tell me where she was, so I would drive there, but by the time I got there, she was gone. It wouldn’t refresh and look for her, so I kept missing her. Called Apple to see if they could track her, but they said they’re not meant for a moving target. I filed her as lost in the app, but once she blipped on my phone, it automatically shut off the “Notify when found” even though I hadn’t found her, she’d just been in the vicinity. So while I was frantically trying to find her, I was having to set the app to notify me when it found her. However, it let me know about where she was so I knew how to focus my search. She spent most of her day in the a wild, dry river wash where the tag wouldn’t signal because it’s below street level and there were no iphones down there. (Though when I was near her a couple times it didn’t ding. One of those times was when I ran into really busy traffic to stop cars from hitting her, so we were in cell zone and she was close to my phone.) Met some really nice people (a mall security guard and some homeless people) that spent hours helping me find her. Plus a dad and daughter on bikes that just happened to see her. Three times she and I looked at each other and she ran away from me. I’ve heard dogs go into survival mode after about a week on the road and will run from their families, but this was only a few hours. (She was feral when I got her so maybe she just reverted faster.) Finally, at sunset, I went home. Except she kept beeping off the AirTag. (She only did that once an hour during the day and now it was more frequent.) I worried she’d been hit by a car.I drove back to the mall with Harvey, her dog-BFF. For three hours she circled around me and Harvey. She was afraid of us, but she was also staying near and watching. When she went away, Harvey and I went into the van to escape the cold. Then the air tag would ding. We’d get out of the car and play “Where’s Waldo” in the dark. Eventually I’d see her just standing there watching us from the shadows. Then she’d disappear agin. Then the tag said she was back. I wondered if this would be easier with a newer iphone as mine is only a 7Plus.At 12:40 a.m., she walked towards the van. I partially opened the door and stuck my head out. “Hi, Annie.” And finally, she recognized me. After 13 hours of driving, walking, riding my bike (my husband brought me my bike,) and sitting out in the cold so she could see me, she finally recognized me. She wagged her tail, came up to me, and got in the van.The AirTag had issues, but it gave me ideas as to where she was. Without the tag, I would not have been able to find her. A few years ago our rescued ex-bait dog stayed with my parents while we were on vacation. They live a couple hours away. Shortly after we got home, the dog jumped their fence. I drove up immediately to try and find her. We looked for two weeks. She was sighted so many different places miles apart (Facebook has great dog-finding groups.) Saddly, she was hit and killed. If she’d had an AirTag, we would have known about where she was and we would have found her. I hope the AirTag works better when I get my Iphone 13 in a couple weeks. However, even not working great, it saved my dog’s life.

    Late comer to AirTags

Can’t believe I just got into these tiny tracking gems. Bought 4 AirTags. I used one with my wife’s car key. A few weeks later, it came in handy when she dropped it inside her sister’s cough. Without the AirTag, it would have been a pain to find the key. I used the other one inside our checked in luggage on our flight back from NJ. It was nice to see our luggage move with us the whole time. Thank God we didn’t lose our luggage as well. I used another AirTag with my son’s keys because teenagers are always on the go and their rooms are always a mess. Very easy to lose anything. The 4th AirTag is attached to my keys just because. Finally, I moved the one I used in our luggage into my mountain bike for greater peace of mind. Planning to buy more to install into our two vehicles and a couple on standby for our next travels. I made sure to use the best protective keychain I found on Amazon. It’s called Elevation Lab by TagVault. I wrote a separate review on it. Anyway, for the TLDR, I highly recommend the Apple AirTags. They’re small enough to place anywhere or anything you want to keep an eye on. I recommend a good protective case when attaching to a keychain or they will get destroyed.I added another screen capture from my Apple Watch showing the location of my MTB. I can also see all my tags using my iPad. This is to address concerns that you can only track the tags using the phone used for registration as other reviewers claim. This is false. So many misinformation on the 1 star reviews. I have have reset my AirTags and added them again using another Apple device without any problems. The “Find” feature works as long as you’re using the right device and the firmwares are up to date. Some older versions of iOS do not have the “Find” feature on the Find My app.I also recommend you first time buyers to read how the AirTags function regarding current location acquisition. It’s very important to know. A few one star reviewers were disappointed from the tracking results from a simple misunderstanding.

    This give me confidence

I really like this product because I am constantly losing things. Whether it is my keys, my phone, my wallet. More importantly, I like to use it for my business because we have some really expensive equipment some of which can cost anywhere from$300 to a couple thousand dollars. It’s nice to know that I can use these to help know where items are if they are ever left on a job site or if they were stolen. One thing that I would recommend is that if you are putting on some thing that isn’t flat that you secure it well on something like taping it onto the item. Our equipment isn’t flat on the surface like our Window Cleaning pole that we use and so I have noticed that if you don’t secure it well, it actually comes off the pole eventually even with tape because it will get water on it, and then the tape loses its strength. If they could find a way to have one of these products that you could mold to different services that would be awesome

    Waldo has been found

I bought the Apple AirTag 4 Pack to keep track of my most important belongings: my keys, my wallet, my phone, and my cat. I was amazed by how easy and convenient it was to set up and use these little devices. All I had to do was pair them with my iPhone, attach them to my items, and name them in the Find My app. Then, I could locate them anytime and anywhere with a simple tap on my screen. The AirTags use ultra-wideband technology, which gives me precise directions and distance to my items. They also have a built-in speaker, which plays a sound when I activate it from my phone. The sound is loud and clear, and it helps me find my items even when they are hidden or buried under something. The AirTags are also very durable and water-resistant, and they have a long battery life. They come with a removable cover, which allows me to replace the battery easily. The cover also lets me customize my AirTags with different colors and accessories. I bought some leather key rings and loops from Apple, and they look very stylish and elegant. The AirTags are also compatible with Siri, which makes them even more convenient and fun to use. I can just ask Siri to find my items, and she will tell me where they are and play a sound for me. She also has a sense of humor, and sometimes she makes jokes or compliments me on my items. For example, when I asked her to find my cat, she said “Your cat is nearby. She is probably plotting to take over the world.” The AirTags have made my life much easier and happier. I no longer have to worry about losing or misplacing my items, and I can always find them quickly and effortlessly. They are also very affordable and worth every penny. I highly recommend the Apple AirTag 4 Pack to anyone who wants to keep track of their things and have some fun along the way. They are the best tracking devices I have ever used.

    Fantastic tracker

I bought a pack of four to keep track of keys, my wallet, and my dog. Just having the AirTags attached to certain key items certainly helps with peace of mind. I did a fair amount of research prior to purchasing the Airtags, and while the more expensive GPS trackers might be more accurate and allowed for tracking over time, I felt the the AirTags were sufficient for the purpose of keeping track of essentials in the event of loss or theft. I attached one of the AirTages (in a waterproof case) to my dog’s harness, and whenever I walk the dog, I see instant updates on my location on my phone. Also, when the AirTag fell off somewhere in the backyard, I utilized the “Play Sound” feature on Find My Device, and was able to locate the AirTag on the ground. Great value for the money, and I would highly recommend if you are like me and prone to misplacing keys, and if you have a pet you would like to keep track of in the event that the pet escapes.

Not the best for moving targets, but they get the job done

I use air tags to track my pets. I live in a very spread-out community, so there’s a lot of time when my phone is the only Apple device in range. If my cat wanders off a little bit, it won’t show his new location for hours. I have to walk around a lot to try to pick up signal. It’s become almost a nightly ritual where I wander around his usual haunts with my iPhone, trying to get a signal, and playing the little chime. Thankfully he’s trained to come back home when he hears the chime. But there are times when I see him before my iPhone does. Not very encouraging that the airtags are working well. That said, when we first moved to our neighborhood, my cat got lost for a few days. His location popped up around the corner in someone else’s backyard. I went over there, asked to walk around their property and look for my cat, and my iPhone picked up his tag, pointing me towards their shed. Sure enough, I found our cat under there and brought him back home. So for that save alone, I would highly recommend using airtags for your pets, but more as a “my dog ran away” and less of a “try to find my cat to bring him in nightly.”

    Easliy to HIDE!!

I acquired these devices with the purpose of closely monitoring our luggage during our recent trip, ensuring that our belongings reached the same destinations we did. Throughout the journey, I could discern that our luggage was efficiently keeping pace with us, seamlessly transitioning from one aircraft to the next. Furthermore, I plan to utilize these devices as an additional security measure for our new bicycles, in case anyone dares to make off with them.Setting up these devices was incredibly easy. The instructions provided were concise, and as a strong advocate for simplicity, I was thoroughly satisfied. I even had the opportunity to personalize the icon and name for each device, and once the setup was complete, they promptly appeared on the Find My app. In the event that you upgrade your device to IOS 17, you can take advantage of the feature that allows you to share your device with a trusted friend or relative. This will grant them the ability to track your devices as well, which I find quite advantageous.

    Cheap tracker for my car.

I got one of these after I got tired of paying the oem a yearly fee to track the car. My wife and I use our cell phones for tracking but it’s nice to have a tracker if the car is stolen.. n there’s been a big increase in armed carjacking in the DMV. This is a cheap way to retrieve the car and hopefully help the cops arrest the carjackers. I, also look forward to putting these in our checked suitcases.

    Much Better Than Tile!

I was a previous Tile user, and I’m only disappointed that it took me so long to change over to AirTags. The setup is incredibly easy and seamless, especially if you already own Apple devices (particularly an iPhone). tracking your AirTags in the Find My app is accurate down to a few inches when you’re in close proximity, and the precision locating function makes it a breeze to find your lost keys, wallet, or whatever you have the AirTag on!

Essentials for cats that go outside

We have inside cats but they have a cat door & two of them use the door to go outside. We live on 10 acres and although they stay close to home, they usually don’t go far. During the summer months, they might spend more time outside and it’s essential for me to track them on a moment’s notice. There are other tracking devices specifically made for furkids but this is a solid, cheap & reliable solution. It’s light weight & fits perfect in the collars designed for Apple tags. Buy 4 pack (tags) & save a few dollars vs purchasing individually. No special app beyond the ‘Find My’ app already on your iPhone. No subscription fees. Cheap but reliable alternative. Quick shipping & delivery from the vendor.

AirTags are just amazing to me!

Having just recently bought into the Apple ecosystem with the new iPhone 15, Apple Watch, and AirPods – I discovered the amazing utility of these little wonders! I bought the 4 pack and have one on my dog’s collar, one in my suitcase, one in my electronics bag, and one on my keychain! These things are amazing, and the way they work is just so cool to me. Gone are the days of losing things, they will always be a quick search away in the FindMy app!! I couldn’t be happier – and I will definitely be getting more of these in the future when the need presents itself!

    Love my AirTags.

If a set of car keys are to be lost I am the person to lose them. I can’t say how much time these AirTags have saved me from hunting down keys. Hours and hours of time. They are so easy to use it’s crazy. Download the app, hook the AirTag to whatever it is you want to keep track of, connect it to the app and you’re set. When you can’t find your keys, wallet, purse, car, open the app and it will beep the lost item, give you directions to the lost item or give you the address where your lost item can be found. Word of warning, do not use this to track down a girlfriend/boyfriend, husband/wife. 1. It will tell on you and 2. That is stalkerish behavior that can land you in some serious legal trouble. Plus, it’s creepy. Don’t be a creep.

    Super timesaver

I have one in my wallet, one on my keychain and I probably open my Find my airtag app a minimum of twice daily to find my wallet or keys. This has saved me hours since I never remember where I put them down and I also love how my phone notifies me if I have left them behind. Between my echo devices helping me to find my phone and the AirTags helping me find my wallet and keys I have my important objects covered. Wis h they made sticker sized tags that I could put on the remote controls since I tend to forget where I put those too. I also like having one in the kids backpack so I know where that is when she leaves it somewhere. If I didn’t already have a gps/activity collar on the dog, she would be wearing one too.

    Great gift. Great value.

Bought the pack, saved a little money. I use one for my car and another for my keys, the other two were gifts. It comes with a ‘pull tab to connect’ and that makes for a nice tamper resistant cue to the recipients that I did not connect to the devices with my own personal device. They are great to keep track of your items WITHOUT a subscription service. I do recommend a case however to protect them – it does not interfere with the Bluetooth capability to my knowledge.

The Ultimate Solution for Lost Items

The Apple AirTags are a game-changer for anyone like me who’s constantly misplacing their keys, wallet, or other essential items. These tiny, coin-shaped trackers have become an indispensable part of my daily life.Setting up the AirTags was a breeze. Using the Find My app on my iPhone, I was able to link each AirTag to a specific item, whether it’s my keys, backpack, or even my pet’s collar. The precision of the tracking is impressive. The app provides a clear and accurate location of your items, helping me quickly find whatever I’ve misplaced. One standout feature is the built-in speaker on the AirTags. It emits a loud and clear sound that helps locate items in the immediate vicinity. It’s saved me countless minutes of searching behind couch cushions and in pockets. The design is sleek and minimalist, and the customization options are a nice touch. I’ve added personalized engravings to my AirTags, which adds a personal flair to these functional gadgets. The battery life is exceptional, lasting months before needing a replacement. When the time comes, the battery is user-replaceable, making maintenance a breeze.

These saved our skin in London!

These work for locating your luggage. As much as we travel, we hear tale after tale of lost luggage tracked or even found in airports.Airport:“We don’t know where your luggage is.Traveler: ” It’s in that room behind that door.”Airport: “No it’s not.”Traveler: “Yes it is; open the door!” Voila!!However, when we were in London recently we found ourselves completely lost trying to walk back to our hotel from dinner near Trafalgar Square. Every intersection seemed to have three streets heading in roughly the right direction. Suddenly I remembered our AirTags…..sitting in our luggage IN OUR HOTEL ROOM!. I turned on “Find My” and we became a blue dot with a line leading us straight to our hotel! We were on a small ship cruise and realized it would work just as well for finding the ship at dock if one were walking around a port city and became lost.Hint: We unzip the lining of our suitcases and tape the AirTags to the side of the suitcase itself. They are less likely to get lost or removed that way. I am also told that the beeper can be turned off so they don’t give themselves away.

    Peace of mind!

Having read horror stories of lost luggage, we bought these for a recent trip to France. They work like a charm! When we left our rentals each day for touring, we immediately received text messages that our luggage had been left behind, it was such a hoot. But the best was being able to check on where our bags were when deplaning. A relief to know they had made it to each destination. Worth the price, which is quite reasonable really.

Simple Tracker for Young Children or the Elderly

This has been the best lifesaver ever.We have elderly grandparents who unfortunately have not embraced the new world and cannot simple understand how a smart phone works. Although they do carry a cellphone, they are not always keen on its uses. We’ve decided to use the airtag method to sew it onto their shoes so whenever they head out, we can still track them and find a way to reach them in case of emergencies. This is the best way to keep them safe especially when they reach an age where they start forgetting things and getting lost.

Precision and Peace of Mind: A Comprehensive AirTag Review

The Apple AirTag is a compact and unassuming accessory that packs a punch when it comes to tracking your belongings. As a professional reviewer, I’ve had the opportunity to thoroughly evaluate its performance, and I must say, it’s a game-changer in the world of item tracking.Design and Build Quality:The AirTag’s design follows Apple’s tradition of simplicity and elegance. You can run, but you can’t hide! Mwahahaha!

All jokes aside, I bought these particularly for our Disneyland trip and in the God forbidden case we got separated, we would be able to pinpoint each other’s location and by George by golly, they came through! Thankfully none of us got separated unintentionally, but being one child wanted to watch the parade, while another wanted to go on their favorite ride, we could easily figure out where we were on the app- especially since trying to call and explain over the phone could be a bit trying at times because if the loud noise and constant movement… It might not be precise, and a bit more larger scope if the target is on the move, but it is pretty accurate all the same- and in that case giving you a very good direction and area where to look. I was very impressed and definitely recommend this to anyone who easily forgets where they place things or have kids. Note: The keychain covers I got at Walmart for about $7. I hope this helps. 🙂

These AirTags are made of AirTags

Yeah, there isn’t really anything I can say about AirTags that countless reviewers haven’t said already. The battery life is great, it uses other iPhones to update their location so it is usually pretty accurate, and the U1 chip lets you find them when they are nearby. With that being said, I am not sure now is the best time to pick these up as I imagine apple will drop an updated version with the u2 chip that is already in the iPhone 15 lineup that would let you precision locate them from further away.

Track your property at low cost

I’m an old guy trying to keep up with a very technical & advanced world we live in. My 30 year-old son uses these and it intrigued me on how I could benefit from their various uses. So I bought a 4-tag set and started brainstorming as follows: 1-The luggage tracker is a easy one. 2-Next was my boat & trailer which are high targets in South Fl. 3-Next was my collector car Porsche 911 keys because I dropped them once at a car show & almost lost them & really panicked. And last was my New pickup truck. 4-I decided to mount a plastic pill storage container on the roof on my truck. You can barely see it and the advantage is two-fold: No restriction from the tracking it “inside” a metal vehicle and easy to replace the battery by not concealing it in some tough hidden spot. The alarm messages are a feature that can be turned on or off to alert you when the tag is separated from you.

I hoped the tags would improve with my new iPhone but they are still not very good

I don’t know if the Apple backend is simply poorly done or if it is the hardware. I think it is the Apple backend though. Once I got my iPhone 15 Pro I had hoped the experience would improve. It did not.If I can connect to a tag such as lost keys, I walk all around the property and it says “Far”. Eventually I start playing a sound and find the keys next to the key box I was standing at when this started. I placed the tag on the iPhone and is still said ‘Far’ with no direction. On my trip I forgot my wallet in the car multiple times since I don’t normally take it out of my pocket except a long drive. I was blocks away and it never notified me. It is set to do so and I tried turning that setting off and back on with no change in notifications. The only reason I realized my wallet was missing was because I had a tag in my bag and that tag notified me it was left behind. So, I look on my iPhone and it is properly reporting where the wallet is back where I parked. Since it accurately shows my wallet’s location it seems like all the bugs are probably on the Apple backend software. In general it has been useful when I want to know if something is at home or not. Half the time I can be close enough to get a tag to make a noise. However, the iPhone 15 Pro has no better tracking than the iPhone X I was using. This one shows me the pretend radar or whatever but the multiple times I’ve tried using the feature it has been useless. Even though it can “connect” to a lost tag and command it to play a sound. It so far has never been able to direct me to even a nearby tag. I have to hope it can make it chirp.Very frustrating experience across the board with these Air Tags. They are better than nothing but I can’t really give them high praise.

    Not great but ok.

The AirTags are not as good as I thought they would be. However, they have helped locate items. We have Apple and generic tags. The generic are much louder but we got Apple for a wallet. The shape of the generic wouldn’t fit. The tags aren’t “live”. They only update periodically and only near an iPhone. So kind of useful I guess but they definitely could be better. You can only beep the tag if you are near and like I said, too quiet. Would be useless in a noisy environment. However, it did help my husband locate his wallet. It had fallen between the door and seat in the car. He knew it was either in house or car so began trying to beep it all over. Finally heard it in the car. I suppose he would have found it eventually but the tag did help speed up the process. He has found it in the house a few times too. We kind of knew that would be our main use: trying to find inside the house. So good but not great and better than nothing I suppose.

    Family Friendly Item Tracking

With the latest software updates to Apple’s devices the AirTag has become much more useful for people to share their item’s location with other Apple product users. This allows one family member to be designated as the primary tag owner but other family members who are sharing the tag to also query the tag’s location. This really comes in handy when the tag owner wants to receive “item left behind” notifications without causing those who are part of the tag sharing family to be needlessly notified. The Apple AirTag has always been a remarkable product, but the addition of family tag sharing significantly improves the practicality of the tags for keeping track of items that are shared within a family and makes the multi-pack purchase option an even better value.

    Fantastic product!

While everyone else is wondering where there luggage it at the airport baggage claim, glance at my phone and it shows me that mine is moving on a cart from the airplane to the main terminal. So I chill. I can see when it gets on the turnstile and I can get it just as it arrives without any crowd.Another time, as we were leaving a restaurant, my wife’s iPhone alerted her that she left her bag in the corner of the booth and she quickly went back and got it.A few times I couldn’t find my car keys anywhere, so using my iPhone I made them chirp and found them under the cushion. The list goes on… these things are great.

There is nothing better on the market if you’re in the Apple ecosystem

While Tile may have been first to market, they were never popular enough to make them truly useful. I typically try to buy devices and services that work across platforms so while I have used the Samsung Tags and a range of Tile products, the Airtags always win. Why? Because the sheer number of iPhones in western countries, especially the United States, means that your Airtags are bound to within range of one. Apple makes it such that the airtags location reporting is a background process running at all times when a modern Apple device is on. Unfortunately, Apple only allows this with their product so while you can install the Tile and Samsung apps, they will eventually close thus defeating the purpose. Can you use them on android? The short answer is no. While there is an app for them on Google Play, it’s really only for detecting if there is on near you, not registering and tracking ones you’ve purchased.

    peace of mind

I’m a scatter brained guy. I just leave my crap everywhere and as much as I try I just loose things instantaneously. I bought a pack of these for me and my family. My most dire possession to loose would be my keys, and now I have on more than one occasion, saved the entire trajectory of my day thanks to having a tracker on it. Knowing that I have an extra tool in my arsenal for when I get forgetful and unorganized gives me peace of mind knowing that I can solve my problems as they come.

Easy to program; keeps my dogs safe

A friend who had her bag lost in the airport during the baggage unloading process and was able to recover the bag easily because she had an AirTag. So we purchased these when we moved to the city with our dogs in case they got out (we’re super careful but one can never be too safe). We also purchased special holders for their collars. These were so easy to program! I chose the four pack so we’d have extras for travel. This definite makes us feel better!

    Sooo easy to use!

I bought one of these about 18 months ago for my dog’s collar. I wanted more, of course, but I put off spending the money until now. I finally bought a 4 pack (on sale!) to take care of the other things I want to be able to track, should I misplace them or find they’ve been taken by someone. I now have one in my wallet, one in my handbag, one on my keyring, and one in my car. Hopefully no one is desperate enough to take a care as old and worthless as mine, but you never know.I know air tags are not totally fail-proof, since they rely on nearby Apple devices to pick up a location, but they’re a good start when you have to go looking for something you’ve lost. Most recently, I couldn’t find my dog’s collar; I’d taken it off for his bath, and I couldn’t figure out where I’d put it. Turns out it had fallen behind the entry table I’d set it down on, and playing that sound led me right to it. Of course, finding something in my own home is the absolute best case scenario, but it proved to me that these little air tags come in handy.

Excellent product but expensive and very short battery life.

It is a combination of innovation with practicality. The precise tracking functionality is excellent, ensuring you can locate your belongings effortlessly. It indicated he luggage location on airport. The sleek design and seamless integration with the Find My app enhance user experience. However, the initial setup process may be complex for some users and to reconnect for other is a bit tedious. The battery life is very very poor and drained within 2 months of use for 4 trips only. The price point feels steep, considering its primary function. The AirTag’s reliance on Apple’s ecosystem might limit compatibility for Android users. Overall, it’s a reliable solution for Apple enthusiasts seeking a sophisticated tracking device, but the cost and limited cross-platform use may deter some potential users.

Super useful for extra keys, backpacks, et al.

Nothing really beats the integration with the Apple ecosystem when it comes to AirTags. Not sure I would rely on these as an anti-theft device because I think most people would find them quickly. They are great for piece of mind when it comes to things like keychains and backpacks when you sometimes have brainfarts and can’t remember where you left something. Knowing it’s in your home or at the office and being able to set the “left behind” alerts to more critical items is great.Accuracy can be a bit frustrating, while I know something is in my home or office, getting close enough and then getting actual directions isn’t the best, might also be better on newer models of the iPhones than the 12 Pro that I have.

Easy to use – kind of a no-brainer

I purchased a pack of 4 and use them as follows:My son’s truck – it’s a 1988 Toyota so he can keep track of where he parked and, heaven forbid, if anyone steals it.I have one in my 2011 non-Bluetooth SUV because I’m old and don’t like to try to remember where I parked – it’s hard enough managing the shopping list without picking up my phone, let alone remembering where I parked, when the grocery stores in Texas have parking lot acreage and you could wander around for 45 minutes before you find your vehicle.Use one for my dog. He’s a shelter rescue that we took home with us 10 years ago and he’s still a runner because he gets so excited to meet other dogs and people – he’s a little impulsive so this helps us keep tabs on him if he get out. It’s on his collar and so far he doesn’t mind. It also helps us find him hiding in the house after he’s dug into the trash. Again.I gave the fourth one to my wife for our last trip. It gave her peace of mind to know where her baggage was and see it was loaded onto the plane (well, was in the vicinity of where we were which was on the plane). It also helped us know when our luggage was about to be put into the carousel at the airports and when they were near, which means we could pick out our nondescript baggage with more confidence.I also like that these can be repurposed quite easily in the maps app and they’re very accurate.

These are absolutely awesome! Never lose my stuff and can track my bags, my motorcycle etc …

These AirTags are absolutely awesome! I use these on everything that I am afraid of losing. I put them on important keys, in my backpack, in my suitcase on my motorcycle etc etc …They are relatively expensive but if you weigh up the cost and inconvenience of losing the item, these are so so worth it!Keys I can locate in an instant by using the Find My app and tracking and there is a mini beeping function.Luggage I can tell if my checked bags made it on the plane and arrived at the destination airport and have come onto the belt. For motorcycle, I can hide it on the motorcycle and feel safer in case my motorcycle is stolen. You can do the same for a car also …I just have so much more peace of mind. The only thing that maybe a negative is that some replacement batteries have a coating that needs to be removed before it will work in AirTags .. which is something of an inconvenience. Other than that … PERFECT!

Sometimes they go off for no reason

These are standard apple air tags. We use them for our luggage, our cars, and our cat. They work great. The only thing is that sometimes the noise will go off without anyone clicking the find my -play sound thing. Which isn’t a big deal but if you have one in your car incase it gets stolen and then it randomly goes off, it could alert the person stealing your car.

I originally bought one for my dog’s collar. He’s deaf and an escape artist, so being able to track him down ASAP is critical. Despite careful observation, he has managed to sneak out and go on a neighborhood tour a couple of times. I love being able see exactly where he is and go scoop him up.. and say hi to my neighbors! Absolutely love this! I was so impressed I ordered more to put in my wallet and attach my both my and my fiancé’s keys. These are amazing! Can’t recommend enough!

Why??? 3 of the 4 works

The 3 that connected, great! but the one that didn’t work was the first one I tried. so I tried to fix, troubleshoot and basically was very sad- no go. After a bit, I tried the 2nd, then all the rest. Great!! The other 3 worked. So, if one doesn’t work, take it to apple, try the next. Don’t waste your time trying to fix it.Easy to use, kinda fun, too. Put it in my luggage. So cool to track em. Put one on your key chain!!! It’s saved me some time, one afternoon. Worth it

    It works!

Recently I flew from SLC to Amsterdam to Rome. My luggage and that of about 30 other people did not make the transfer to Rome. I was the only one with an AirTag. Once in Rome I could see that my luggage was 807 miles away. How it works this magic I don’t know. A few hours later another flight with my luggage landed. I was getting signals from it when the plane had landed and was told my suitcase was 5 miles away, then 4, then 3 etc. Love it!

    Great deal

This is the best deal I’ve ever found on AirTags I needed exactly four and this is much cheaper then buying four single AirTags. I did struggle with the one air tag my phone kept not sensing it during setup then once it did sense it and it connected to my phone it wasn’t working and said it wasn’t near my phone and couldn’t be reached when it was right next to me. I simply reset the whole AirTag and reconnected it and I haven’t had any issues since

Works Great Included instructions severely lacking

Works Great sometimes quirkily. Tracked sister’s purse and luggage on cruise ship in the North Atlantic from my home is Southern California. Sometimes, when no signal, tracking ran home to mama and would report location of local post office where I mailed them to her in South Bend, Indiana. However, included instructions severely lacking. Had to Google full paring process. This should be done first and suggest check several sites as many assume you’re learning curve is greater or not complete information. Even the Apple website was difficult and lacking. Took 1-2 hours the first time because battery had to be removed four times. Paring and naming each of the third and fourth trackers took 5-10 minutes.

Great way to see the general area of your thing

Hid on my motorcycle for security. Dropped off bike for service. Tag showed bike outside all night. I was freaking out. It even moved back at one point. Turns out, bike was not outside and didn’t move. It won’t show precise location if you’re a ways away, but it still gives me peace of mind. I know where my bike is within 50 ft, from miles away. If I get closer, I can activate the beep to locate. So its pretty good. Cheaper than a LoJack – obviously very compatible with your Apple smartphone. Easy to use with “find my” app.

Though there are stories out there about unwanted Air Tags being used to track people, using them for your own purposes is highly encouraged, especially when traveling. You can travel without stressing!

I normally NEVER check bags – always use carry ons. However, on a transatlantic cruise and then a trip through Europe – a carry on size bag was a no go. These tags easily slipped into the tag key chains I bought to go with and were a BREEZE to track with. I clipped them inside our bags and the tracking began right away. We were able to wait in Amsterdam airport for our flight and “watch” our bags move throughout the loading process. Once on board Amsterdam and stateside flights we could see both bags were below us on the planes. What a relief!!!! Highly recommend – especially if you stress over possible lost luggage like I do!!!!

Don’t always update on luggage and flights

These tags are great, and seem to work most of the time. I recently placed one in my luggage for an international flight. The tag did not update the location of the luggage until after landing and almost to before coming out of the bag carousel. Luckily my suitcases made it everywhere I did. Must have!

I have become dependent on these. I lose my wallets and my keys all the time. I also keep one in my luggage. These help track them. They are small enough fit anywhere and easily in my wallet so I comfortably carry it. Comfortable. It’s only compatible with Apple products. It chirps a small sound for you to hear it if you can’t find it. My biggest problem with it is that there is a good delay before notifying you of being left behind through the Find My app. Also it’s hard to tell where it is if you are trying to use the arrows on your phone to track its precise location.

Now I can track my dog, my cat, AND my luggage!

Just intime for vacation. Attached it to the dog and cat collars so I can collect them for the kennel, and then one on my key and one on my luggage. Love it. I used it and, wha-la, I found the cat —the story I can tell ya. The dog was an easy. He was in the backyard. It was fun watching y luggage travel through the system. bottom line: Apple reliable Air-Tags work!

    Lifesaver

I dont know how I managed keeping track of things before Apple Tags. I use them on all our important items now; from car keys, wallets, vehicle, and yes even luggage during travel. On a recent trip with no flight changes, direct flight from Frankfurt to Cyprus, my bags made a detour to Spain. Lufthansa informed me at the time of the claim it was impossible for my bags to have been diverted to Spain. With the help of my air tag was able to locate the bag, in Spain, and have it delivered while in Cypress. I encourage all to get them.

    Highly recommended by police

A police detective I know who handles missing persons cases wishes the families of anyone with dementia, alzheimer’s, and mental illness would put an air tag in such people’s clothes. I just got mine and they seem to work well with my iPhone. I haven’t used them with luggage yet. I don’t know how long the battery lasts yet.
