Works well on our iPads
Simple item, very good quality, easy to take with, and will hold the iPad up even with a cover, just remove the plastic piece at the bottom of the holder.

Portable, durable, works in most situations but not all
This is a cleverly designed metal stand with a hinged balance “leg” that provides 11 different angles (the 12th lays flat), making it very versatile as long as it’s on a flat and stable surface. The small rubber pads on the bottom of the stand’s base keep the stand from moving once you put your device on it. The base lip has a center cutaway that allows you to swipe up on your device. A rubber insert for the base lip serves to hold your device more snugly. My iPhone 12 does well vertically on the stand; the only challenge is the inability to use the bottom port for charging. However, the phone is fully functional, where tapping briskly towards the top of the phone does not topple it over. I mostly use my iPad for viewing, so I’ve not challenged it on the stand vertically; it does very well sitting horizontally on the stand. This is a winner for me.

Love this little stand
This stand is small, but sturdy. I wanted something to put in our trailer when we travel. Holds my ipad perfectly. Folds up to put away.

Great product at a great price
Works perfectly. Really nicely made of machined aluminum, very sturdy. To my thinking, this is an incredibly good product considering the selling price.

Great version of a favorite Anker product
I originally bought the Anker version of this which works very well to support my Samsung Note 10 Plus for YouTube viewing. My wife liked it, so I started out to repurchase the same Anker item for her and encountered this Amazon Basics version which I decided to try. It’s great. It uses less aluminum material in the support easel because they made it a frame instead of a solid piece like the Anker version. This is no way impairs functionality and has the advantage of making the stand lighter for travel. These fold flat for travel or storage and have many angle detents between fully closed and fully open. They have the same rubber liner for the bottom tray as the Anker version to prevent marring a device, and the rubber liner can be removed if your device is extremely thick or inside a robust case. I have a variety of cases for my phone, from skinny to buff, and they all work fine with the rubber sleeve, although with the heaviest, most rugged cases, the fit would be slightly better and more secure with the rubber sleeve removed. It’s really not an issue. Nice design feature, actually. I have also used this a few times with the smaller of my two Kindles (Oasis), and it works very well for that. The older 2015 Paper White would fit fine outside the case, but inside the folding case it’s not ideal. This was a great buy, inexpensive and well designed. Recommended.

The bottom lip is too small.
This product was designed for tablets that do not have a case. The bottom lip that hold the tablet is too small. It is not sturdy when you have a case on your tablet. And not interested in removing my case when I need to use the stand. I tossed the box so plan to keep it.

It’s sturdy metal & works perfect for my kindle & phone! I love it so much I just got the 2 more today I ordered for my phone! Highly recommend this product. The first one I got several yrs ago & it still works exactly as it did day 1. Love that I’ll be able to stand my phone next to my kindle instead of looking down all the time.

Does the job.
The stand is portable, sturdy, and easy to use. My only complaint is that an iPad doesn’t fit into the stand with even a very thin case. It does still prop, but will not fit in the actual groove.

Worth it
Very sturdy and strong for a regular iPad or kindle. With a iPad Pro it tends to tip over if you push on the iPad too hard. It’s nice to use if you need to copy notes from a iPad. Adjusts to many different ways. Easy to use. Worth the money

I love that it’s small
It is small, a little smaller than I thought but that is on me for not looking at the specs. It holds pretty much any time of tablet. We’re using it for a drawing tablet. It’s made very well and looks great. Odd I know but it feels good in the hand and the hinge feels like it is very well built.

Good product
It’s a compact phone holder that’s great for watching videos and propping up my phone while I’m studying. Very study and simple design. It folds flat which makes it perfect for traveling. I’ve even used it on the train by keeping it mostly folded up and hooking the stand into the pouch on the back of the seat. Bought it for my family and they love it and use it every day too!

Holds my 10″ Tablet w/ its Case no problem
The media could not be loaded.
This is the quality stand for any of your electronic devices. It holds my 10.1″ Tablet WITH it’s case with no problem. I could not be happier with this purchase. It is a sturdy device of quality production, that locks in multiple angles depending on your needs. Obviously phones and other small devices are not an issue. Simply FANTASTIC and worth every penny. It folds relatively flat so it can be taken on the go

Super compact
I like this stand. I needed a stand to use my iPad in the kitchen so that the tablet would not touch the counter top which sometimes is wet. It does that very well and fits in very tight spaces. You can also adjust the viewing angle which is nice. The unit folds nicely when you are done.It works vertically better than horizontally but your mileage may vary. If you have a book style cover or keyboard case (thicker cases) you will have to remove it from your tablet. The area where you actually insert the tablet into the stand isn’t adjustable. If you have this type of case then this stand probably isn’t for you. Having to take the cover off is a hassle.I have a thin magnetic cover on my iPad and it works great vertically but if I use it horizontally there is nothing to hold the top part of the cover in place so you will have to let it drop behind the stand. This is not a huge deal but that part of the case will come in contact with the counter top.Pros- Compact and great for placing your tablet in tight spaces- Folds nicely into a compact little unit when not being used- Good stability- Good viewing angle and can be adjusted- Good priceCons- Area that holds the table in place is thin, unadjustable, and may not fit some tablet covers- To change the viewing angle and to store it you have to push a side button. If you use the stand frequently this button mechanism may wear out.

Good, but Anker stand is better for tablets
I’ll start by answering what I see are the most common questions about this stand and then get into my own overall thoughts. – Notch size: There is a removable rubber piece that you can take out to increase the size of the notch. With the insert the notch is 9mm (a bit less than 3/8 inches). Without the insert the notch is about 14.5mm (a bit more than 9/16 inches). This is a bit variable since the notch is a little rounded. – Adjustment: There are about 10 positions the legs snap into between completely closed and 180 degrees open. So, each adjustment is something like 18 degrees. I find that to be more than enough choices. – Charging: People want to know if you can charge you device in this stand… Honestly, guys, it’s a metal stand, it works a lot like a metal stand, if there is a cable poking out of the side or top of your device then you’re fine. If you want it to poke out the bottom then of course your device won’t balance.Let me start by saying that I like this stand, and if i had never owned the Anker stand then I would love this product. Compared to the anker stand so many things are the same: the size of the notch, the overall size of the stand, the build quality, etc. However, in the end of the day this thing just isn’t sable enough for tablets. If all you want it for is your phone, then go for it, get this and never look back. There are two pieces of the design that make this unstable with tablets. The first is that the support leg is significantly shorter than the device holding leg. This means there is just less support behind you device than there is with the Anker stand where the two legs are the same length. The second reason is the obvious one, this stand is just shorter than the Anker stand. What this means is that even a standard sized iPad barely works in the portrait orientation. In portrait mode on the AmazonBasics stand a standard iPad will fall over the second you tap it. If you have an iPad Pro then forget it, this won’t work at all. In contrast the Anker stand, which is the same size when folded up, is much more sturdy and will support an tablet in any orientation.I have some images attached that show how much more stable the Anker stand really is.At the time of writing the AmazonBasics stand is $10 and the Anker stand is $11. Spend the extra buck and get something that will work with any device.Silver Anker Stand

Not what I expected
This cell phone holder is very sturdy and doesn’t flip over. I have one issue with it, I’m unable to keep my phone on this holder while it is charging. I purchased so that I could watch videos without holding my phone, this is the reason I gave only stars.

It’ll HOLD an APPLE!!
Okay, the fact that it holds an apple may only be helpful for still-life painters looking for a compact, mini travel easel but it’s just good to know. Right? This little stand is AWESOME.It’s much stronger than you may think it is. It holds my Galaxy Tab S4 tablet with supreme confidence. The stand doesn’t wobble AT ALL.As soon as you feel the weight of it you know it’s gonna be super solid. You can quickly and easily set it to a multitude of angles by pushing the big button on the hinge. Once you push the button in you can hold it in and move it to any angle you want or SLIGHTLY move the leg back you can then release the button and it will stay depressed until it hits the next preset angle. There are MANY angles. I counted. 23 total angles it can be set to.Because the stand rotates 270 degrees around, I find only 9 of those 23 settings usable if you want to incorporate the lip in front to hold a table, phone, etc.Out of those 9 angles, I found that I only really used 2 or 3 or em’ so don’t worry at all about the other 14 angles. Just know that if you want to get creative with this thing, it’ll GIVE you angles. For a goof, You could use it as an easy access pen holder if you wanted to (see photo).I love the fact that there is a removable insert to fit phones or tablets with cases, even thick ones (see photo). I DO think it would’ve been really cool if there were a neat little storage area for the insert on the stand itself cuz you could lose the insert if you’re not keeping track of it.The insert doesn’t “snap” into the lip but it kinda wedges in tightly. It’s well engineered. I tried to shake out the insert and it wasn’t budging.Oh, also, you CAN open this with just one hand (see photo) but you may need to prop it up against your leg or a table or something like that.I bought 2 of these cuz I liked it so much and you just never know when you need it.Currently, we are using this when we go out to a restaurant with our 3-year-old so he can watch Peppa Pig on Mommy’s phone and we can savor a brief moment of peace over a meal.LOVE it. Recommend it to anyone looking for a tablet/phone stand…or a mini, travel easel.Hope this was helpful.

VERY good strong and sturdy
SO happy with this. When I first open the small box it came in I thought this little thing will not be sturdy enough to hold my iPad. Wrong! It is a heavy extremely well made metal. The hinge part is very solid and locks well. It holds my IPad with no tilting or shakiness. It is a NO brained. Love it!

Great item for multiple uses!
The Multi-Angle Portable Stand is the best item for our tablets and cell phones that we have wanted for a long while! The size (small), easy handling, and sturdiness means we can take it anywhere with us and use in many different situations, even on an airplane, without it protuding through or taking up much space in a backpack or suitcase. It is not plastic and will survive the rigors of multiple uses in many different situations (such as multiple drops on a floor). We bought two for our personal use and will buy more for our grandchildren to use. Wish we had bought it sooner!

Needs Only ONE Modification
Really like this stand; HOWEVER, there is an anti-skid piece that needs to be placed on the bottom before use. In my opinion, this should be permanently affixed and not loose. I’m sure at some point it will get lost which is POOR DESIGN on Amazon’s part for just this one aspect. That said, the stand itself is beautiful, very sturdy and extremely flexible. I’ll prob use a few drops of Gorilla glue and keep it. FYI, purchased this item TWICE – first one was never delivered (confirmed on Amazon site).

Much nicer than I expected.
I just wanted an inexpensive, simple little stand to prop up my Nook ebook reader for hands-free use. This Amazon Basics stand is cleverly designed and beautifully made in satin aluminum. It folds flat, and you then press a button to adjust the “foot” to the position you want, and foot clicks in to hold the position. Your phone, ebook reader or tablet fits into little curved base. The stand comes with little plastic spacer you can use in the tray if you need a tighter space to hold your device. The stand has little non-skid pads to help keep it in place on shiny or slippery surfaces.I was surprised at the small size of the unit. Folded it’s 4″ wide, 3.5″ high, and about 0.75″ deep; the curved tray where your device rests is about 0.50″ front to back. The little plastic insert can be used if you need a narrower space. My 10-inch Fire tablet with its cover fits very nicely in the tray, and doesn’t slide around when I swipe the screen. My old Nook with its leather case just fits in the tray.I’m really happy with the thing. And if it’s still on sale, it’s a bargain.
