Good material quality; rivet opened.
I’d like to preface this by saying that I was honestly really excited for this product, and the thought that I wouldn’t have to carry around my neck strap for quick shooting. The neck strap I have is amazing, but it can get a little unwieldy or in my way if I’m trying to snag quick shots, so I purchased this wrist strap instead.First impressions of it were really solid. The overall craftsmanship and installation, easily 5 stars. It didn’t feel flimsy or anything, and by mounting it to the camera while tying the other end to the strap mounts, it felt really sturdy once I had adjusted everything to fit my hand/wrist.That said, I’m giving it 2 stars because upon my first actual test/use of it, I let the camera go (GENTLY!! I didn’t just drop it from my hands) to help my mom carry something, and it was fine – for all of two seconds. One of the rivet buttons snapped open and it allowed the strap to slide clean off of my hand, which in turn allowed my camera to fall and hit the ground (solid rock since I was on a mountain) hard.I wish that there was a sort of mechanism to lock those rivets, or at least prevent them from popping open on their own. The quick access is nice, but not if it sacrifices my camera or lens 🥲 Thankfully my lens only sustained some scratches to the outside, no cracks, but my camera body sustained some internal damage esp to the mirror, so I had to get that fixed. It showed promise, this strap. But I can’t trust it with my camera. Since then I’ve switched back to my neck strap and haven’t had any further issues.

Camera-Saver
I am one of those folks that are easy to drop things if I get distracted for a moment and stop focusing on holding it. I also would rather have a hand free to make manual lens adjustments, grab stuff, motion at people I’m taking photos of, etc. This helps for all of these matters, steadies my camera, and is very easy to quickly snap on and off the wrist between shots – Highly recommend!

I got this to help protect the most expensive camera I ever bought! It’s a lifesaver, I am never ever scared of dropping my Nikon Z7 when I’m using this, it’s an awesome feeling!

Snap
I love the idea of this but I’ve only used it once and the snap doesn’t snap tight. It comes off very easily and is not secure. Maybe I just have a defective one but I’ve only used it for one photo shoot. I had to change back to my neck strap in fear of dropping my camera.

Just What I Needed
I bought this strap, to replace my old worn-out one. This model/style is much better. I like the “hands free” feel of the strap, in that I don’t have to constantly hold onto my camera. I really like the extra security of the wrist strap. The plate on this one, doesn’t cover my battery chamber, which was something that annoyed me with my old one. Also, the rapid fire attachment is great. My only complaint is, it took a minute to get a good fit. I have small wrists, so I had to fully tighten it, for it to be secure.

Almost perfect!
I do use this all the time. The hand grip allows me to rest my hand instead of gripping the camera. I like that it is made of leather and it feels so sturdy.

Ditch the neck strap and use this.
This is the first time that I’ve tried a wrist strap on my smaller Canon T7i DSLR. I like it as a substitute for any kind of neck or sling strap. Just make sure that adjust it snugly. I have smaller hands, and I could get it to fit nicely if tightened all the way. Also, make darn sure that you use the little safety strap around your wrist so you don’t drop the camera (I almost did at first). With the safety in place, I can walk around and just let my arm and hand dangle between shots, but I like that the camera is instantly available when needed. Essentially, you are turning your arm and hand into a camera strap – works well.

Great product, but needs improvement.
The overall design is a good idea, but there’s one small issue that in my opinion could be improved on and that’s with the bottom mounting screw where you mount this harness to a tripod without having to remove it from the bottom of the camera, just make it “flatter”, meaning not so thick and with a wider diameter and also put the screw in the center of the bracket. Just my two cents, but it works as advertised.

Very good with one flaw
The design is really good. Almost . I have 2 of these and on both of them the strap on the top came loose. Fortunately I had the additional wrist strap fastened so I didn’t drop the camera . The problem is the top strap is too short so when you fasten it through the fastener you can’t loop it back through. One little fix and this would be the best.

Fits the ’08 Vixia HF10
Bought it to replace the disintegrating stock handstrap on my 15-year old Canon Vixia camcorder (the famous bakerxderek “David Attentip cam”; cheaahh), that was falling apart and leaving black powder all over everything the top-coating rubs off on. It’s very comfortable. I didn’t use the supplied tripod-mount bracket since the camera has two small metal brackets for the strap. The webbing is a tight fit onto the camera since it’s about 1 1/2 mm wider than the camera brackets, but it’s easy to pull through and get sized once you work the ends through. (Disclaimer: my camera also has a pair of aftermarket 8mm OD keyrings attached to the tabs to mount my vintage ’70s Pentax K1000 shoulder strap to, so that made it slightly more difficult in my case, but the web is legit slightly wider than the Vixia’s tabs. YRMV.) Probably not a good fit if you have small hands and want it to hold snug because it’s fairly large strap! My hands are huge so it fits me well, with it snugged all the way down to the camera body.It might fit other later Vixia models. Try it and see.

I RARELY Give 5 Stars
I RARELY Give 5 Stars. However this product warrants it. I have had this for 3 weeks and have been using it nearly daily. I don’t do unboxing reviews I actually use the product b4 reviewing it This wrist strap is extremely comfortable and feels extremely well made. Materials materials are of good quality the snap closures are very positive and you know that they are snapped when you do so. The snaps are firm. Adjustment is easy. The base plate that comes with it is terrific and and the quarter by 20 screw me screw that screws into the bottom of your camera is actually tapped so you can screw something else into it such as a monopod if desired. On the left side of the base plate is another hole for attaching Other items too such as a cross body shoulder sling. I have actually purchase the altera cross body shoulder sling to go along with this and equally happy with that item and will be reviewing that next. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase as I said I rarely give 5 stars but this product definitely deserves it. Almost forgot adjustment is easy and quick and will fit a you will fit a plethora of him of hand and wrist sizes as well as camera bodies

Comfortable!
I had the classic neck strap on my Canon camera and found myself winding it around my arm to keep it out of the way. I bought this with some caution but it’s 100% worth it! It’s ok
Just like some reviewers said., you lose use of one of your hands. But the biggest problem was that the button is not strong enough to let it dangle (like other reviewers). Mine came undone while shooting a wedding. Luckily I was kneeling and there was carpet.

Great hand grip. I think I got the best from plenty to choose from.
I think I got the best from plenty to choose from. I use this type of grip when I have to carry the camera most of the day, usually when on “camera safari” while traveling. In addition to comfort, the things I look for are:1. Real and top-quality leather. Cheap materials will not last long for this application.2. Easy to make the first install (usually this is a non-issue for any grip, but not always)3. Quick and easy to fasten and adjust the wrist safety strap. If not, you might not use it, and that is inviting problems.4. and most important: SECURITY. Amazing to me that reviews of some other grips talked about the fact that the straps would let go and camera falls to floor. Makes no sense at all for such a thing to happen. This grip seems secure and does not slip.

Good for street photography
I don’t like hanging a camera around my neck. So this is really good for keeping the camera in your hand when you’re walking around. The strap is well-designed and fits comfortably when it’s on, and the camera hangs naturally. The one challenge with it is that it doesn’t come off easily. There’s a screw that attaches the strap to the bottom of the camera but the other strap has to be woven through one of the eyelets where you’d hang the neck strap. So it isn’t easy to swap out when you want to do something like change to use a tripod.

Great for my Olympus
I have paired this with an Olympus micro 4/3 camera, which I use for street photography. I can walk for hours with this light camera strapped to my hand with ease, and it is ready at a moment’s notice to get a quick shot. The strap fits my hand nicely and is quite comfortable. The snaps on the wrap around strap are secure. I haven’t tried it with my big Nikon DSLR yet but I imagine it will make carrying that easier as well.

So far, so good
I haven’t had a chance to put this strap to a good test yet but my first impressions are good:1. The mounting plate is the same one that comes with Altura Photo Rapid Fire Camera Neck Strap w/Quick Release and Safety Tether. So you can have both the shoulder strap and this wrist strap attached to the same plate at once or only one.2. The wrist strap comfortably wraps around your hand for a secure and comfortable hold. One strap also wraps around your hand to further secure the camera. I can let the camera hang loose and it doesn’t fall.3. I find I can hold the camera with a heavy telephoto lens more comfortably and steady than I can without the wrist strap.4. All materials are sewn together, no glue that I can see. So the strap should last without coming apart. The material used on the inside of the strap, the part that touches your hand, is smooth and comfortable. Conclusion: So far, I am happy with my purchase. I will update later after I’ve had a chance to use it for day long photo excursions in early October.

Wow! Never knew how useful this grip is!
This hand grip definitely adds another level of stability to shooting with a camera and also gives me that peace of mind that I won’t have an accident with it strapped to my hand! Now the tricky part is getting it comfortably adjusted to your hand as we all have different shaped hands! Getting it wrong will make this grip feel tight and uncomfortable! I found the best way to do it is to place your hand on the “grip” of your camera and while holding onto that, do all the adjustments and fine tuning with the other hand! I know it may sound confusin but thats how I was able to get it properly configured to myself and once I did that, it was smooth sailing from there! All in all, I’m pretty happy with this purchase as I’m picky when it comes to accessories that accommodate my photography/ videography needs BUT this one is undoubtedly a winner!

Love This Strap; However, Always Use the Secondary Strap If Possible!!!
I would give this a 4.5 star rating if I could, but giving it 5 instead because it deserves to be rounded up lol. I love this strap, I used it for 5 days shooting at a music festival, and have had it for nearly two months. I feel that having it strapped to my hands enabled, if not forced, me to get the amount of photos that were required of me. At one point, I slipped and fell and I don’t know if it was good or bad that it was strapped to my hand, but my camera and lens survived, with a UV filter on it for protection. The half star taken away only because one of the straps slowly came undone and I didn’t notice, and the camera would have fallen to the ground if it were not for the secondary backup snap-button strap that saved it.

Great wrist strap BUT
Love this thing, it makes my Canon R5 much easier to take out and about, but the snap for the buckle that goes around your wrist/arm is not strong enough to let the camera dangle in your hand as your walk. It will unsnap and leave you in an awkward position trying to rebuckle it. So, just don’t let go of your camera. One other thing is with this on your hand and snug, you basically lose a hand, so double-handing something like your iphone becomes much harder. But i really like it! I know the brand is purple, but I wish they had another couple colorways

I like the strap
I love the hand strap and the wrist strap to secure on your hand. I had a similar one before without the wrist strap and the update is wonderful. They fall short on the screw and the rubber used on the plate. I mounted the plate to the bottom using the supplies screw and it seems to be to small. Dose not snug up. Also the rubber used on the plate doesn’t grip that well. I’ll have to modify to get it to work well.

Better than a strap
Love this. I hate wearing a strap or cross body strap. To bulky for me. I usually have my camera in my hand so this is perfect. I’m not a casual shooter. When I have my camera out it’s to do a portrait shoot. So idk how well it does for like say a trip with the wife and sight seeing. For stuff like that I carry a smaller camera Fujifilm X100V. But still in my hand.I use this product with a Nikon Z8 and love it. If you’re not sure and wear your camera around your neck then maybe don’t buy it.It’s not expensive tho, so worst case you got another piece of gear laying around.

Perfect for adventures but don’t forget to secure strap backwards!
I loved adding this to my DSLR for Iceland adventures! It is extremely secure and helpful to have when hiking/climbing, needing a secure grip around waterfalls, etc. I think a lot of people don’t push the strap back through up and over the little plastic piece to make it secure. It is a very tight fit for the strap to go through a third time and has little teeth on the back side to hold it in place. It doesn’t come like this in the package and I wouldn’t have thought of it had I not just changed out my neck strap at the same time as that is how those all are secured. (I use both neck and hand straps at different times)

Great for walking around
I have used a wrist strap like this previously and found them to be very handy when you’re walking around and photographing a lot. The strap rests comfortably against the topside of you hand, and is adjustable to fit any hand size. When properly attached to your camera, it is sturdy and you don’t have to be too concerned about the strap loosening up and the camera slipping, although being careful never hurts. This strap is well made and will last a long time. This was a very good purchase, with no complaints and I highly recommend.

Good camera hand strap with caveats
Works, but as others have mentioned there are issues. Mounting the strap to the camera is a bit of a trick. You MUST pay attention to the routing of the mounting straps, ensuring the are properly routed through the buckles to ensure they don’t slide off easily. Once securely mounted you adjust the grip for a snug fit. I find once adjusted to safely secure the camera when your hand is relaxed, the position is such thatcitvis uncomfortable and difficult to reach the camera buttons and wheel with the same hand. It’s just an odd angke if you have large hands.

Love this camera strap!
This hand strap works great for my Canon 7D, however, I got this for my Lumix LX10 and my Lumix FZ80 which are point-and-shoot cameras. It will not work for either of these cameras due to the tripod mount hole not being centered on these cameras. I can’t get it on tight enough. I will still use it on my 7D.
