Works great
I have one Ethernet port on the wall behind my TV. I had my Roku Ultra plugged into that. But I bought a Nintendo Switch that needed Ethernet also so I bought this switch to turn my single Ethernet port on the wall into two ports. It works great. It gets its electric power from USB. My TV happens to have a USB port on the back, so I just plugged this switch into it for power. Both my Roku and Switch will work via WiFi, but everyone knows WiFi is fast, but wired is so much faster. Very happy I purchased this network switch.

It’s only FE (100Mbps)
Buyer beware, this device doesn’t tell you what speed the ports are and that’s for “good” reason. The ports on this device do let you have two devices working simultaneously BUT they will only work at FE (100Mbps) speeds. I plugged in a 2.5GbE connection to my PC and Nintendo Switch, both of which defaulted to FE speeds whether it was both or one connected. So, if you have devices that only need FE speeds, think ring alarm or older (and some current) smart TVs then this will work fine for your application but even then, the number of devices that utilize or simply have gigabit connections is almost standard at this point, so you have to think about “future proofing” as well. The reason for the two stars is twofold, first, the listing never mentions anywhere what speed the ports are which, for a network switch is a necessity and second, I contacted customer service beforehand to inquire about this and they said that it would indeed work with 1GbE and 2.5Gbe connections. I never believed that for a second, but I figured I’d buy it and test it just in case. Now you know, you have been warned.

worked 2 out of 20 times, and 0 times to connect both computers to the internet
Well this was a thoroughly frustrating experience. I am looking for a splitter to connect two computers to the internet instead of one … sounds simple enough, the same as a power adapter splitter only for internet. Apparently not simple at all. I have plugged and unplugged this device fifty different ways trying to get both computers online … at the end of it I got just one of the two to connect to the internet with this device… which I can already do without a splitter. Good times
